Los Angeles Dodgers

This report will provide recommended DFS stack options for today’s seven-game main slate. I will also include my favorite pitching picks.

**All plays are listed in order of preference. Please check back between 5-6 PM EST as some players can receive rest days or get limited at bats especially as we get closer to the postseason. Make sure you are watching the weather as well.

Daily Fantasy Stack: Cincinnati Reds

vs. RHP Alex McRae (PIT): 6.15 Runs

**Low Risk

The Reds are facing Jordan Lyles, who has seen better days over his last four starts. He has given up five or more runs in his last three of four games. This isn’t Coors Field, but it is close enough. Lyles carries a 5.36 ERA 4.81 FIP, and 4.43 SIERA on the year. He continues to struggle against left handed batting, allowing them to slash to a .416 wOBA, .630 SLG, and .403 OBP while allowing 28 earned runs over 31 innings pitched. I’m not huge on BvP statistics but the Reds have seen a lot of success against Lyles. They have six players with .900 OPS or better against him. The Reds are slashing to a .355, .194 ISO, and 117 WRC+ against righties the last two weeks. We’ve all come to find out Lyles was traded to the Reds so now we get Alex McRae on the mound. Same struggle to lefties, even better matchup for the Reds. I’ve upgraded this to a low risk play. You cannot beat the value here, but we do have some weather concerns.

Preferred Stack: Yasiel Puig ($3100 FD|$4400 DK), Jesse Winker ($2800 FD|$4100 DK), Eugenio Suarez ($3900 FD|$5100 DK), and Joey Votto ($3300 FD|$4000 DK). Value: Scooter Gennett ($2600 FD|$3400 DK) has been making good contact leading up to tonight’s game and he’s way too cheap on both sites.

Daily Fantasy Stack: Los Angeles Angels

vs. RHP Jordan Zimmermann (DET): 6.60 Runs

**Low Risk

Jordan Zimmermann is on the mound tonight for the Tigers and he is B-A-D. He owns a 7.57 ERA, 4.88 FIP, and 5.35 SIERA. Although he is worse vs. left handed batting, he is no angel to righties. They are slashing to a .358 wOBA, .530 SLG, and .345 OBP while he has allowed 27 earned runs over 31 innings pitched to them. Zimmermann basically allows one earned run per inning pitched so roll out the Angels with confidence this evening. They are slashing to a .315 wOBA, .205 ISO, and 99 WRC+ over the last month.

Preferred Stack: Shohei Ohtani ($4200 FD|$5200 DK), Justin Upton ($3600 FD|$4000 DK), Mike Trout ($4900 FD|$5700 DK), and Albert Pujols ($3100 FD|$4400 DK).

Daily Fantasy Stack: Los Angeles Dodgers

vs. RHP Jon Gray (LAD): 6.90 Runs

**Moderate Risk

No one is reinventing the wheel by playing either one of these teams at Coors tonight. This game will be highly owned as the Coors matchups typically are. The salaries are too high so we can’t stack both unless you’re okay with pitching Pannone and we’re not going to go there. Jon Gray has closed the gap in his splits and has actually fared decent at home. He is allowing batters to slash to a .333 wOBA, .463 SLG, and .336 OBP. He has allowed 24 earned runs and seven home runs over 55 innings pitched. Most will target the high power lefties like Max Muncy or Cody Bellinger and those plays are great, but you can easily differentiate from the field and play guys like A.J. Pollock and Justin Turner. The Dodgers are slashing to a slate high .381 wOBA, .281 ISO, and 140 WRC+ right now.

Preferred Plays: Justin Turner ($4300 FD|$5200 DK), Max Muncy ($5600 FD|$4500 DK), Cody Bellinger ($4900 FD|$5800 DK), and Alex Verdugo ($3100 FD|$4500 DK). Don’t forget about Joc Pederson ($4200 FD|$5300 DK) and A.J. Pollock ($3800 FD|$4400 DK).

Honorable Mention

Daily Fantasy Stack: Kansas City Royals

vs. LHP Thomas Pannone (TOR): 5.25 Runs

**Moderate Risk

Preferred Plays: Jorge Soler($3100 FD|$4300 DK), Whit Merrifield ($3400 FD|$4900 DK), Hunter Dozier ($3200 FD|$4500 DK), and Chelsor Cuthbert ($2900 FD|$3800 DK).

Daily Fantasy Stack: Colorado Rockies

vs. RHP Kenta Maeda (LAD): 6.20 Runs

**Moderate Risk

Preferred Plays: Charlie Blackmon ($4500 FD|$5500 DK), David Dahl ($3400 FD|$4800 DK), Daniel Murphy ($3600 FD|$4700 DK), and Tony Wolters ($2500 FD|$3100 DK).

Pitching

  1. Sonny Gray RHP (CIN): 4.00 Runs
  2. Jaime Barria RHP (LAA): 3.90 Runs
  3. Caleb Smith LHP (MIA): 3.75 Runs

This report will provide recommended DFS stack options for today’s 14-game main slate. I will also include my favorite pitching picks.

**All plays are listed in order of preference. Please check back between 5-6 PM EST as some players can receive rest days or get limited at bats especially as we get closer to the postseason. Make sure you are watching the weather as well.

Daily Fantasy Stack: Minnesota Twins

vs. RHP Dylan Cease (CWS): 5.30 Runs

**Moderate Risk

Dylan Cease is newer to the rotation, coming up for his first start right after the All-Star break. He has struggled with the long ball so far, allowing at least one home run in each of his three starts. He has given up three or more runs to each team he has faced and the teams that he has faced (DET, KCR, and TBR) aren’t exactly the most potent offenses. He carries a 6.19 ERA, 5.41 FIP, and 4.98 SIERA to start off his career in the bigs. The Twins are red hot, slashing to a .346 wOBA, .200 ISO, and 115 WRC+ against righties over the last two weeks. They have scored seven or more runs in each of their last five games.

Preferred Stack: Jorge Polanco ($3500 FD|$4500 DK), Nelson Cruz ($4200 FD|$4900 DK), Eddie Rosario ($4100 FD|$4800 DK), and Miguel Sano ($3600 FD|$4800 DK). Differentiate with Jason Castro ($2700 FD|$3900 DK) Luis Arraez ($2900 FD|$4000 DK).

Daily Fantasy Stack: New York Yankees

vs. RHP Andrew Cashner (BOS): 5.80 Runs

**Low Risk

I rarely find it necessary to go with the presumed chalk on a slate of this size, but I will have plenty of exposure to the Yankees given all the value we have at pitcher today. Andrew Cashner carries a 4.19 ERA, 4.65 FIP, and 5.02 SIERA. He has had a pretty good year for his standards, but regression reared it’s ugly head in his last start and I think he continues to sink tonight. Despite his success, he has struggled with right handed batters. They are slashing to a .350 wOBA, .519 SLG, and .327 OBP. He has allowed 36 earned runs and 13 home runs over 54 innings pitched to them. New York Yankees batters are slashing to a .344 wOBA, .187 ISO, and 114 WRC+ against right handed pitching recently. If you’re looking for a value stack, this is not the place.

Preferred Plays: Gleyber Torres ($4000 FD|$4900 DK), Edwin Encarnacion ($4500 FD|$5500 DK), Aaron Judge ($4700 FD|$5500 DK), DJ Lemahieu ($4200 FD|$5400 DK) and Didi Gregorius ($3700 FD|$5100 DK). I also love Mike Tauchman ($3000 FD|$4800 DK) for value. Cameron Maybin ($2500 FD|$3700 DK) will mostly go overlooked I would imagine. He’s a nice way to differentiate in large field tourneys if you’re playing multiple lines.

Daily Fantasy Stack: Los Angeles Dodgers

vs. RHP Anibal Sanchez (WSH): 5.45 Runs

**Low Risk

Anibal Sanchez provides us a weakness against left handed power and that isn’t going pan out well for him against the Dodgers this evening. The Dodgers have been mashing right handed batting over the last two weeks, slashing to a massive .399 wOBA, .306 ISO, and 152 WRC+. These are averages that simply cannot not be ignored. Anibal struggles quite a bit to left handed batting, allowing them to slash to a .342 wOBA, .494 SLG, and .338 OBP. He has allowed 23 earned runs and nine home runs over 38.2 innings pitched against them. Anibal Sanchez’s xFIP of 5.20 suggests he is due further regression. I believe the Dodgers obliterate this guy.

Preferred Plays: Max Muncy ($4100 FD|$5100 DK), Joc Pederson ($3600 FD|$4700 DK), Cody Bellinger ($4700 FD|$5600 DK), and Alex Verdugo ($2900 FD|$4000 DK).

Honorable Mention

Daily Fantasy Stack: New York Mets

vs. RHP Dario Agrazal (PIT): 5.25 Runs

**Moderate Risk

Preferred Plays: Pete Alonso ($4100 FD|$5000 DK), Michael Conforto ($3500 FD|$4400 DK), and Jeff McNeil ($4300 FD|$5700 DK). Dominic Smith ($2300 FD|$4300 DK) and Robinson Cano ($2700 FD|$3900 DK) for value.

Pitching

  1. Zack Greinke RHP (ARI): 3.20 Runs
  2. Griffin Canning RHP (LAA): 3.75 Runs
  3. Joey Lucchessi RHP (SDP): 3.50 Runs

This Friday July 26th slate is all about landing the right bats. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the MLB DFS Picks of Destiny.

MLB DFS Bats: Yankees Bats Look To Bounce Back In Boston

Position Rankings and Values

Check out our Data Driven Projections for FanDuel Hitters for Premium Gold Members.

Catcher: Mitch Garver ($3,700 FD, $5,400 DK) and the Twins have put up 39 runs the past 4 games. Garver boasts a .322 IS0 and .395 wOBA vs right handed pitchers and is getting a hot bat lately. The opposing pitcher Dylan Cease does have some K potential but that doesn’t scare me in this matchup. Cease has given up a home run in every start of his young career which has helped contribute to his 6.19 ERA (small sample size). Garver is a great play at a position where I am having trouble finding much I like.

Catcher Value: Chance Sisco ($3,100 FD; $4,100 DK) is batting .291 ISO/.408 wOBA vs righties, and is at a reasonable price point on a thin position today. Griff Canning is all but guaranteed to give up multiple runs, even to the Orioles. Sisco comes through with a big swing every now and then and because of that, I’ll take him as my value one off today at extremely low ownership

First Base Stud: Joc Pederson ($3,600 FD; $4,700 DK) heads to Washington tied with Cody Bellinger for most home runs hit vs Righties on the Dodgers squad. This season Joc is hitting .387 ISO/.313 wOBA/.910 SLG vs right handed pitching. While opposing pitcher Anibal Sanchez’s stats are respectable, with 3.80 ERA/1.35 WHIP, he really has had an unusually easy schedule. Joc helps Bellinger and the Dodgers put the hurt on the Nationals tonight.

First Base Value: Sam Travis ($2,500 FD; $3,000 DK) is cheap and he hits lefties in a game with a 11 run team total. He has 2 homers in 30 ABs and bats .233 ISO/.325 wOBA vs southpaws. If he gets the start, he is worth a MLB DFS value play, especially if you stack the Red Sox.

Second Base: Gleyber Torres ($4,000 FD; $4,900 DK) The Yankees were embarrassed last night at Fenway when they gave up an all time series high run total (19) to the Boston Red Sox. They will be locked in vs the rival tonight. Torres is batting .305 vs righties, with a .394 wOBA, .233 ISO and .546 SLG. Torres contributes in multiple ways, if he isn’t the one hitting it in the bleachers he will be getting runs and RBI’s. Andrew Cashner is in for a short night here. He has a 7.36 ERA and giving up multiple homers is kinda his thing.. Yankees delivery in a big way.

Second Base Honorable Mention: Max Muncy (with Dodgers stacks)

Shortstop Stud: Xander Bogaerts: ($3,700 FD; $5,000 DK) Batting .315 with 23 homers and 80 RBI this season. He is the second best lefty hitter on the team, behind J.D. Martinez, and also hits behind him in the starting lineup. As far as BVP goes, Bogaerts checks that box too, with a .364 ISO, .380 wOBA vs the opposing James Paxton.

Shortstop Mid Range: Didi Gregoriuos ($3,700 FD; $5,100 DK) If there is anything I remember from playing DFS in years past it is play Didi when he gets hot. I fully expect Yankees to give Cashner nightmares tonight and Didi’s bat has recently come alive. He has a .371 wOBA and expect him to do his part on my Yankees stacks.

Third Base Stud: Yuli Gurriel ($4,000 FD; $4,400 DK) has four homers in his last six games. The Astros are almost at full health again and it is showing. Gurriel is batting .233 ISO/ .364 wOBA and faces Jack Flaherty who has avoided a blowup lately. However his opponents have not been particularly scary in the Reds, Pirates, Giants and Mariners. I think the Astros knock Flaherty out relatively early or at least bend him until he breaks before getting a quality start.

Third Base Value: Renato Nunez ($3,200 FD; $4,200 DK) This guy is hitting value every night and no one ever plays him. He has a .234 ISO/.340 wOBA vs righties and Griff Canning has been getting knocked around a bit lately. Nunes has three homers in his last five games and hasn’t put up a fantasy goose egg since July 14th. He has a safe floor with upside which is what we look for in MLB DFS.

Third Base Value: Maikel Franco ($2,700 FD; $3,400 DK) faces a quality pitcher in Mike Soroka BUT Franco is a vet who loves to break the Braves hearts. This is a low owned, value, gut play. Franco has just as many homers this year for the Phillies vs right handers as Bryce Harper and is batting .250/.443 SLG/.754 OPS. He is capable of a big night.

Outfield Stud: JD Martinez ($4,100 FD; $4,500 DK) He owns lefties with a .405 ISO/.494 wOBA. This series feels like it is going to continue to be explosive and I expect the Red Sox do their part on the scoreboard. I like the Xander/Martinez/Devers mini stack

Outfield Stud: Cody Bellinger ($4,700 FD; $5,600 DK). There is nothing not to like here with Bellinger. Batting .338 with a .371 ISO and .708 SLG vs righties, he is one the league’s most lethal bats. Anibal Sanchez has been pitching over his head lately, largely due to a “cupcake” schedule, and his numbers start to regress today. The last time Sanchez hasn’t gotten popped for a long ball it was all the way back on May 29th. I think the Dodgers pour it on here.

Outfield MidRange: Anthony Santander ($3,300 FD; $4,500 DK) is yet another Oriole doing damage recently and just not seeing a price increase. I have been playing him almost every night the past week or so and haven’t been disappointed once. I’ll keep rolling him out until the price catches up. Santander has four homer runs in his last six games and carries a .263 ISO with a .387 wOBA vs lefties. I’ll play him at no ownership for $3,300.

Outfield Value: Alex Verdugo ($2,900 FD; $4,000 DK) He is cheap, and batting in between two of my favorite plays on the day (Joc and Bellinger). He holds his own with 10 homers .202 IS0/ .350 wOBA vs righties. See above for why I think the Dodgers get to Anibal Sanchez.

I primary used FanDuel when building optimal MLB DFS lineups.

Daily Fantasy Stack: Minnesota Twins

vs. LHP J.A. Happ (NYY): 5.30 Runs

**Moderate Risk

J.A. Happ has had some issues this season to say the very least. He rolls into tonight’s game carrying a 4.86 ERA, 5.11 FIP, and 4.64 SIERA. Those are some of the worst averages Happ has ever posted over his career. Happ has struggled vs. both sides, allowing batters to slash to a .335 wOBA, .476 SLG, and .320 OBP. The only drawback I can see is Happ’s home/road splits. He has been significantly better on the road with batters slashing to a .286 wOBA, .380 SLG, and .281 OBP. Given how much power Minnesota is showing recently, I highly doubt Happ will have a dominant road performance. The Twins are slashing to a .316 wOBA, .277 ISO, and 95 WRC+ over the last two weeks

Preferred Stack: Max Kepler ($3700 FD|$5200 DK), Eddie Rosario ($3800 FD|$5100 DK), Nelson Cruz ($4100 FD|$4400 DK), Miguel Sano ($3600 FD|$4500 DK), and Mitch Garver ($3600 FD|$5100 DK)

Daily Fantasy Stack: Los Angeles Dodgers

vs. RHP Jamie Barria (LAA): 5.55 Runs

**Low Risk

We have a small sample size to go off of with Barria, but there is no doubt he has struggled. He carries a 7.36 ERA, 4.62 FIP, and 4.33 SIERA over 33 innings pitched. Barria is allowing batters to slash to a .383 wOBA, .541 SLG, and .361 OBP. He has allowed 27 earned runs and six home runs thus far. The Dodgers are absolutely hammering right-handed pitching right now. They are slashing to a massive .430 wOBA, .368 ISO, and 172 WRC+ over the last two weeks.

Preferred Plays: Max Muncy ($4100 FD|$5100 DK), Joc Pederson ($3600 FD|$4600 DK, and Cody Bellinger ($4700 FD|$5800 DK). Alex Verdugo ($3000 FD|$4200 DK) and A.J. Pollock ($3700 FD|$4400 DK) for differentia

Honorable Mention

Daily Fantasy Stack: Atlanta Braves

vs. RHP Brad Keller (KCR): 5.60 Runs

**Moderate Risk

Preferred Plays: Josh Donaldson ($4000 FD|$5100 DK), Freddie Freeman ($4000 FD|$5300 DK), Ronald Acuna Jr. ($4300 FD|$5700 DK), and Ozzie Albies ($3400 FD|$4300 DK).

Pitching

  1. Shane Bieber (CLE): 3.90 Runs
  2. Noah Syndergaard (NYM): 3.80 Runs
  3. Reynaldo Lopez (CHW): 4.40 Runs

Here are some MLB DFS Stack Tips for Friday

1.) Los Angeles Dodgers

Zac Gallen has had walk troubles this season and in his last two starts he has given up a bomb. With the major power in this Dodgers lineup along with their ability to draw walks, it doesn’t bode well for Gallen. I’m taking all the power lefties in this one. I also have fallen in love with Justin Turner as Gallen has a .289 BAA against right-handed bats this season. I think the Dodgers get to Gallen early and chase down double digit runs in this MLB DFS Stack.

2.) Toronto Blue Jays

Jordan Zimmermann, Oh Lord. At home this season he holds a 7.20 ERA. No, that is not a typo. Jordan Zimmermann is horrible. He is even worse against left handed bats (.330 BAA and a .515 SLG). I don’t have any major preference with the Blue Jays, I’m sure some will be popular to use for value as everyone will try to jam in JV. My advice is to get different. Bottom order wrap around MLB DFS stack is definitely in play here. I LOVE the Blue Jays for tournaments.

3.) New York Yankees

Man, what happened to Kyle Freeland? As recently as last year he was dominant, now he’s a gas can. I’ll gladly add to the flame here and pour on a flood of Yankees. Against right handed bats this season Freeland has a .286 BAA and a .576 SLG. The number I’m mostly looking at, though, is the 45.4% hard hit rate. With all the power in this Yankees lineup, Freeland could be hitting the showers very early against this MLB DFS Stack.

4.) Milwaukee Brewers

Taylor Clarke is coming off an injury and is already a gas can. He holds a 6.92 ERA at home and a .269 BAA. The Brewers are one of the most dominant offenses in the league and can hang a crooked number at any moment. The Brewers will be my MLB DFS Stack pair with the Blue Jays for my single entry tournaments tonight.

Wes Passinault can thank Ian Desmond and revel in the worst performance of the season by Hyun Jin-Ryu, He is headed to the biggest Fantasy Sports event he could ever hope to be a part of, the FanDuel WFBC.

The 36 year-old accountant from Amherst, Wisconsin won a seat in the 2019 $2,000,000 FanDuel World Fantasy Baseball Championship in San Diego on August 24 by taking down a qualifier on June 28. He also did it with some input from his friend and Win Daily analyst Mark Paquette.

The Path Goes Through Colorado

“I was teetering on using Desmond,” he said. “But Mark told me for a Colorado bat at $3200, I had to take him. That is what took it over the edge for me.”

The Rockies and Dodgers combined for 22 runs that night. Desmond scored 18.9 points on FanDuel, going 2 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Passinault used seven hitters from the Los Angeles/Colorado game. Nolan Arenado had a four-hit night, with two doubles and a HR, and led the way to the FanDuel WFBC with 40.4 points. Max Muncy had a homer and four RBI and came in with 38.7.

“I felt confident like I always did, and I had more confidence on that night targeting Coors Field bats,” he said. “I knew I was going to get on some Rockies bats that night.”

A savvy Fantasy DFS player, Passinault has been competing since 2000 in seasonal and 2013 in Daily games. He was set on attacking Ryu, the premier pitcher in the National League, when most others would not. He was not afraid to gun for the rare Ryu down outing in Colorado.

It’s not often when Colorado bats go so underowned at home. I looked up the projected ownership numbers for Arenado and stuck with him and never changed,” Passinault said.

Ryu allowed seven earned runs and helped Passinault to his biggest Fantasy night ever and a seat in the FanDuel WFBC. The previous season, he had won $2,500 in a multi-entry tournament on FanDuel. Now he had woken up to approximately $8,000. He took first place in four of the five tournaments he entered that night.

The Delayed Winning Reaction

But Passinault did not find out about his winnings and seat in the live finals in San Diego until the next day. He said he knew he was going to be close to some success. But he simply turned his phone off for the night before the games ended. He didn’t realize his good fortune until the next day when he was readying for a cornhole tournament.

“My phone just started exploding,” he said. “Then I saw that I had won the qualifier and realized what happened.”

Passinault estimated he had tried to qualify for a seat in the FanDuel WFBC 55 times before he finally got in. Now he is going to play for a first place prize of $500,000 and is guaranteed a minimum of $5,000. He is having all his expenses paid for the trip and will experience welcome and viewing parties. He will also be entered into a $50,000 single game championship tournament at a Red Sox/Padres game at Petco Park, among other VIP experiences. This will be his first ever trip to San Diego.

“What I am really looking forward to the most is being with all those great DFS players in one room, and experiencing the culture as all of them get together,” Passinault said. “I think I just might be an Average Joe compared to some of these guys.”

Not Feeling the Pressure

But Passinault said he is not putting an extra pressure on himself as the FanDuel WFBC event approaches.

“I am just going to get back to playing DFS and focus on the day at hand,” he said.

In the meantime, Passinault is also grateful to his friend Paquette. Passinault had previously followed Mark on Twitter and reached out to him during the previous NBA season to start chatting DFS. It was the Win Daily writer who ultimately urged him to roster Desmond.

Ultimately, though, Passinault said his love for numbers and going with his gut has gotten him this far. Now he’ll be enjoying the VIP DFS experience of a lifetime at the FanDuel WFBC.

“As an accountant I have a natural love for the numbers, but about 40 percent of it is just gut feel,” he said. “Sometimes my gut will just tell me to go the other way.”

That mix of number crunching and going with hunches has Wes Passinault on his way to the Fantasy experience of his life. He is mentally readying for next month at the FanDuel WFBC in San Diego.

‘My wife and I are really looking forward to it,” he said. ‘But I keep reminding myself to not get too far ahead, we’re not ahead to it yet.”

With a game in Coors Field today, you know you can start your MLB DFS Stacks for July 17th with Rockies and Giants. But if you are looking to get contrarian with your DFS stacks, below we have four teams to target:

Sign up NOW forWIN DAILY Premium Gold right here!Projections, weather reports, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!

Minnesota Twins

The Mets’ Jason Vargas has been flirting with trouble all year with his 40.9% flyball rate and 41.1% hard contact rate. And the regression monster veered its ugly head in his last start. In that start, Vargas allowed six earned runs while recording a single strikeout. Look for Vargas’ descent back to normalcy continue to in this one. Not only does Vargas struggle on the road with a 5.56 xFIP but the Twins’ lineup is stacked with guys that crush lefties. As an offensive unit, they have a .214 ISO and a .362 wOBA against southpaws this season. Nine Twins with at least 53 at-bats have ISOs over .190 against lefties.

Of course, start your Minnesota MLB DFS Stacks with Nelson Cruz (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,100). But you can also mix and match in the likes of: Mitch Garver (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $5,400), Miguel Sano (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,900), C.J. Cron (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $3,700), Ehire Adrianza (FanDuel: $2,300 DraftKings: $3,500), Jake Cave (FanDuel: $2,400 DraftKings: $3,300), Jonathan Schoop (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,200) and Max Kepler (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,900). All of these Twins’ batters have accumulated at least a .200 ISO versus left-handed pitching.

Boston Red Sox

The Red Soxdraw Toronto’s Aaron Sanchez in this one. Sanchez has a 6.22 ERA this season, while also owning a 5.61 SIERA and a 5.39 xFIP. With the Red Sox sporting a.349 wOBA and a 114 wRC+ versus righties this season, this seems like anappropriate spot to stack some of the Boston Bombers in DFS.

Sanchez has been awful against batters from both sides of the plate, so stack the Red Sox however you please. He has allowed a .347 wOBA to lefties and a .380 to righties. But our Boston MLB DFS Stacks will need to start with Mookie Betts (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,400). Betts has an ISO north of .225 versus right-handed pitching. Other Boston bats worth considering are: Rafael Devers (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $5,700), Xander Bogaerts (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,600) and Christian Vazquez (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,900). These three Boston bats have ISOs above .210 versus righties in 2019.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Phillies’ Nick Pivetta has been getting hit hard this season. The righty is allowing a 42.2% hard contact rate. The hard contact has led to him allowing 2.16 HR/9. So this is a perfect spot for us to pick on him while we build MLB DFS Stacks. Especially considering the Dodgers crush righties. Los Angeles owns a .213 ISO and a .347 wOBA versus right-handed pitching this season.

With Pivetta allowing a 43.7% hard contact rate to lefties this season, we will want to target the likes of Cody Bellinger (FanDuel: $4,800 DraftKings: $5,800), Joc Pederson (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,600), Max Muncy (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,100) and Alex Verdugo (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $4,300). All of these Dodgers bats have ISOs over .200 against right-handed pitching this season.

Washington Nationals

The Orioles’ Aaron Brooks has a 4.97 xFIP in 2019. He also is allowing flyballs at a rate of 40.5% which has led to 2.04 HR/9. The Nationals have plenty of batters that should take advantage of this matchup with MLB DFS Stacks against a right-hander.

Use AnthonyRendon (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,500), Matt Adams (FanDuel: $2,700DraftKings: $4,400), Juan Soto (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,500), HowieKendrick (FanDuel: $2,600 DraftKings: $4,900), Kurt Suzuki (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings:$4,700) and Trea Turner (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,300). These battershave ISOs greater than .200 against right-handed pitching this season.

This report will provide recommended DFS stacks for today’s nine-game main slate. I will also include my favorite pitching picks.

**All plays are listed in order of preference. Please check back between 5-6 PM EST as some players can receive rest days or get limited at bats especially as we get closer to the postseason.

Los Angeles Dodgers Stack

vs. RHP Nick Pivetta (PHI): 5.80 Runs

**Another game with rain out potential. At the moment it looks like the storms should hold off until after the game but i advise you to monitor the weather here as it looks shakey up and down the east coast tonight.

Nick Pivetta is on the mound this evening for the Phillies. He carries an average 5.81 ERA, 5.75 FIP, and 4.89 SIERA on the year. Pivetta has fairly identical splits, with batters slashing to a .360 wOBA, .530 SLG, and .340 OBP across 66.2 innings. He has given up 27 earned runs across 33 innings to right handed batters. He has also allowed 16 earned runs in 33 innings to left handed batters. The core of this Los Angeles Dodgers team is their left handed power and they have been tearing up right handed pitching. They are slashing to a .355 wOBA, .223 ISO, and 121 WRC+ over the last month to righties.

Preferred Stack: Cody Bellinger $4800 FD|$5800 DK, Max Muncy $3900 FD|$5100 DK, David Freese ($2800 FD|$4400 DK, A.J. Pollock $3300 FD|$3800 DK, and Joc Pederson $2800 FD|$4600 DK).

Boston Red Sox Stack

***Weather is a legitimate concern here, possible PPD. Pitching and bats risky. If you want to play a Boston stack, I would reserve it for GPP’s and monitor the weather.

vs. RHP Aaron Sanchez (TOR): 6.90 Runs

The Red Sox get a lofty 6.90 implied run total in this matchup against Aaron Sanchez (surprising, I know) and this is one we cannot ignore. I know we have some weather concerns here, so tune in with our weather man Mark for updates as we get closer to lock. Aaron Sanchez carries an average 6.22 ERA, 5.50 FIP, and 5.62 SIERA. Sanchez is allowing batters to slash to a .362 wOBA, .456 SLG, and .388 OBP across 97 innings. He has allowed 67 earned runs in that span. Aaron Sanchez is a ground ball pitcher, averaging a 48% ground ball rate. Although he doesn’t give up many home runs, he has a .330 BABIP and LOB of 66%. The Red Sox are slashing to a .374 wOBA, .252 ISO, and 131 WRC+ over the last two weeks to right handed pitching. These are the best hitting numbers on the slate by a long shot.

Preferred Stack: Rafael Devers ($4200 FD|$5700 DK), Xander Bogaerts ($4400 FD|$5600 DK), Andrew Benintendi ($3400 FD|$4500 DK), and Mookie Betts ($4300 FD|$5400 DK).

Arizona Diamondbacks

vs. RHP Jesse Chavez (TEX): 5.45 Runs

We have Jesse Chavez taking on the Diamondbacks in Coors South this evening. Chavez carries a 3.84 ERA, 4.51 FIP, and 4.24 SIERA into tonight’s matchup. He is a reverse splits pitcher, allowing righties to slash .353 wOBA, .519 SLG, and .329 OBP. He has fallen off recently after having a somewhat successful start to the year. I expect him to stay in this rough patch and we will see his ERA line up with close to his FIP as the season comes to a close. Arizona batters are slashing to a .300 wOBA, .161 ISO, and 82 WRC+ in recent weeks. These are by no means the averages I look for when picking my stacks, but I feel with the ballpark upgrade to the bats and Chavez’s recent struggles we could end up with a nice lower owned Diamondbacks stack.

Preferred Plays: Ketel Marte ($3700 FD|$5200 DK), Eduardo Escobar ($3700 FD|$5200 DK), Christian Walker ($3000 FD|$4700 DK), Adam Jones ($2900 FD|$4200 DK), and Jarrod Dyson ($2700 FD|$4800 DK).

Honorable Mention

Cleveland Indians

vs. RHP Spencer Turnbull (DET): 5.78 Runs

Preferred Plays: Francisco Lindor ($4000 FD|$5000 DK), Carlos Santana ($4200 FD|$5300 DK), Jason Kipnis ($2900 FD|$3600 DK), Jose Ramirez ($3600 FD|$4400 DK). Jakob Bauers for value ($2900 FD|$3600 DK). Mike Freeman ($2100 FD|$3700 DK and Tyler Naquin ($2800 FD|$4000 DK) are also good value plays.

Washington Nationals

vs. RHP Aaron Brooks (40-50 pitches) & RHP Gabriel Ynoa (BAL)

**Another trouble spot with weather otherwise I’d have them as the top stack. I think the game starts on time, but a good chance we do not get a full 9 innings.

Preferred Plays: Juan Soto ($4000 FD|$5500 DK), Howie Kendrick ($2600 FD|$4900 DK), Anthony Rendon ($4300 FD|$5500 DK), Victor Robles ($3400 FD|$4400), and Brian Dozier ($2600 FD|$3900 DK).

Pitching

  1. Chris Paddack (R) (SDP): 3.15 Runs
  2. Mike Clevinger (R) (CLE): 3.27 Runs
  3. Danny Duffy (L) (KCR): 5.01 Runs

This report will provide recommended DFS stacks for today’s 10-game main slate. I will also include my favorite pitching picks.

**All plays are listed in order of preference. Please check back between 5-6 PM EST as some players can receive rest days or get limited at bats especially as we get closer we get to the postseason.

Cleveland Indians Stack

vs. LHP Daniel Norris (DET): 6.30 Runs

Daniel Norris takes the mound in Cleveland this evening. He carries a 4.96 ERA, 4.62 FIP, and 4.71 ERA into tonight’s matchup. We get a nice little recipe here with his reverse splits. Left handed batters are slashing to a .367 wOBA, .540 SLG, and .343 OBP across 16 innings pitched. He has allowed 13 runs in that short span. His 40% hard contact rate and 40% pull rate combined with his shakiness to lefties can make for some easy liners to right field. Norris racked up eight strikeouts but gave up six earned runs in his last meeting with Cleveland. Cleveland batters are hitting below their season averages this month, slashing to a .309 wOBA, .154 ISO, and 88 WRC+. These numbers aren’t typically what we look for but they’re in the worst part of their slump and this is a good opportunity to bust out of it.

Preferred Stack: Roberto Perez ($2700 FD|$4100 DK), Jordan Luplow ($2500 FD|$3900 DK), Carlos Santana ($3800 FD|$5000 DK), and Francisco Lindor ($4000 FD|$4900 DK).

Colorado Rockies Stack

vs. RHP Derek Rodriguez (SFG):

Dereck Rodriguez was called up from AAA as the 26th man ahead of today’s doubleheader. He carries a 5.27 ERA, 5.57 FIP, and 5.46 SIERA across 57 innings pitched into tonight’s game. He has struggled both to righties and lefties, allowing a .338 wOBA, .462 SLG, and 46% hard contact rate. The Rockies batting averages are creeping up again on this home stand and should continue to rise this evening. They are slashing to a .349 wOBA, .193 ISO, and .457 SLG against right handed pitching recently and the studs in this lineup are coming off a rest day.

Preferred Stack:Charlie Blackmon ($4800 FD|$5700 DK), Daniel Murphy ($4100 FD|$5200 DK), David Dahl ($4200 FD|$5500 DK), Trevor Story ($4600 FD|$5600 DK), and Nolan Arenado ($4700 FD|$5400 DK).

Every stack report in the industry is going to have the Giants and Rockies. Ownership almost always levitates to Coors, especially when you have Dereck Rodriguez (SFG) and Chi Chi Gonzalez (COL) pitching. Going to be a lot of ownership on both sides here ,so I am not writing up the Giants in detail for that purpose, but I’ve included my preferred stack if you decide to go with the masses tonight.

Preferred Stack: Alex Dickerson ($3800 FD|$4800 DK), Stephen Vogt ($2700 FD|$4300 DK), Evan Longoria ($3500 FD|$5300 DK), Pablo Sandoval ($2900 FD|$4900 DK), Brandon Crawford ($3000 FD|$3900 DK), and Austin Slater ($3600 FD|$5000 DK).

Los Angeles Dodgers Stack

vs. RHP Zach Eflin (PHI): 5.40 Runs

I imagine ownership here will be higher as well. It’s not very often we get the Dodgers so early in the evening. Zach Eflin carries a 3.78 ERA, 4.66 FIP, and 4.70 SIERA into tonight’s matchup. Left handed batters are slashing to a .357 wOBA, .544 SLG, and .333 OBP. He has allowed 22 earned runs and 11 home runs across 43 innings pitched to lefties as well. The only concern I really have with Dodgers batters here is a possible hangover from last night’s game. The Dodgers are slashing .to a 335 wOBA, .209 ISO, and 109 WRC+ vs. right handed pitching over the last month.

Preferred Stack:Max Muncy ($3800 FD|$4600 DK), Alex Verdugo ($3100 FD|$4100 DK), Cody Bellinger ($4800 FD|$5100 DK), and Joc Pederson ($2600 FD|$4200 DK).

Boston Red Sox Stack

vs. RHP Trent Thornton (TOR): 6.25 Runs

The Red Sox get another cupcake matchup against Thornton. They have faced him twice this season, his first outing in Boston when he allowed only two earned runs and a recent second outing in Toronto in which he allowed seven earned runs. This Red Sox team is hitting very well recently. They are slashing .372 wOBA, .254 ISO, and 129 WRC+. I have the same concern with the Red Sox as with the Dodgers. They played late last night but they do get the benefit at being at home. Trent Thornton has a 4.85 ERA, 4.41 FIP, and 4.75 ERA on the year. He has identical splits, allowing batters to slash to a .332 wOBA, .321 BABIP, and .444 SLG.

Preferred Stack: Rafael Devers ($4100 FD|$5500 DK), Xander Bogaerts ($4400 FD|$5300 DK), Mookie Betts ($4200 FD|$4800 DK), and Christian Vazquez ($2900 FD|$4700 DK).

Honorable Mention

Houston Astros vs. RHP Griffin Canning (LAA): 4.90 Runs

Preferred Stack: Alex Bregman ($4200 FD|$4400 DK), Yordan Alvarez ($4300 FD|$4800 DK), Michael Brantley ($3900 FD|$4000 DK), and Yuli Gurriel ($3800 FD|$4200 DK).

Toronto Blue Jays vs. RHP Rick Porcello (BOS): 4.25 Runs

Preferred Stack: Freddy Galvis ($3200 FD|$4300 DK), Cavan Biggio ($3700 FD|$4500 DK), Eric Sogard ($3300 FD|$4700 DK), and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($3800 FD|$5300 DK).

Pitching

  1. RHP Adam Plutko vs. DET: 4.20 Runs
  2. RHP Lucas Giolito vs. KCR: 4.40 Runs
  3. LHP James Paxton vs. TAM: 4.00 Runs
