I hope everyone had an excellent holiday season and are ready for a big start of the 2023 calendar year with some NFL DFS! As always, we can focus more on lineup construction in Discord. The purpose of this article is to identify my top plays for a NFL DFS cash game lineup on DraftKings and FanDuel Sunday Main Slates (also known as a double-up) in addition to my favorite NFL DFS GPP tournament plays. Good luck this week!

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

Quick note regarding Quarterbacks: I’ll continue to attack the mid-tier range at the quarterback position for that value I’ve been discussing over the past month. It’s been working and this is a full slate with 13 games. There is a ton of value on this slate and the pay-up, Patrick Mahomes, is likely in a slower game environment that I will probably avoid. Justin Fields is always in-play and capable of breaking the slate on a 70-yard touchdown run, but I do worry about his health status and lack of designed runs we saw last week against Buffalo. Maybe that was just a fluke and Fields is a fantastic play this week in the highest total game on the slate, but I’m going to save money at the quarterback position again in Week 17 NFL DFS.

  • Aaron Rodgers ($6,000 DK / $7,100 FD) – We’ve been picking on the Vikings’ secondary throughout this whole season and won’t stop now as we get Aaron Rodgers at home in a must-win game. If Christian Watson is out, that will hinder my love for Rodgers this week as they can simply lean heavily on the running game, but regardless, he’s in a beautiful matchup for a very affordable price. With 80% of the field likely to roster Jared Goff in cash games, I’ll leave Rodgers to the NFL DFS GPP player pool.
  • Deshaun Watson ($5,800 DK / $6,700 FD) – If you’ve been following my articles lately, you know that I love playing these $5K price-range quarterbacks with rushing upside. Watson is finally priced below $6,000 (on DraftKings) and is going to be 1% owned in this Week 17 slate. As everyone looks to roster Aaron Rodgers, Mike White, and Jared Goff in this price range, the guy with the highest upside in Deshaun Watson is the forgotten man. Yes, he’s looked like garbage so far this season, but in NFL DFS GPP lineups, Deshaun Watson is one of the AETY Model’s favorite value and leverage plays on the slate at the quarterback position. The Commanders’ defense is solid, but they’re extremely beatable through the air and grade out as a top-10 adjusted-expected matchup for opposing rushing quarterbacks.
  • Jared Goff ($5,600 DK / $7,400 FD) – I’ll keep this one brief. Jared Goff is on fire in terms of fantasy points per game over the past five weeks and gets a cakewalk matchup at home against the Bears’ 29th ranked pass defense (DVOA). The Detroit Lions’ have the HIGHEST IMPLIED TEAM TOTAL on the slate, lol! I don’t know if I have ever typed those words in my life. In cash, you’re playing Jared Goff. In tournaments, Goff is still a fine play (just know you’ll need to get different elsewhere), but I’ll pivot to Rodgers or Watson in hopes that the Lions’ do most of their scoring on the ground with their three running backs.

Honorable Mention: Justin Fields, Justin Herbert, Mike White, Tom Brady

NFL DFS Running Backs

  • Saquon Barkley ($8,000 DK / $9,200 FD)
  • Dalvin Cook ($7,000 DK / $8,300 FD) – I don’t think I’ve got Dalvin Cook right all season long, but I’ll go back to the well this week against the Packers’ 32nd ranked run defense (DVOA). This is going to be a highly competitive game with a lot of points scored (according to the AETY Model and Vegas totals), and the price is right here for a lead running back who hardly leaves the field. If the Vikings’ want to win this game, they’ll need to take advantage of the Packers’ inability to stop opposing running backs.
  • David Montgomery ($6,900 DK / $7,500 FD) – Montgomery is a GPP only play for me in Week 17 NFL DFS. We will see some Khalil Herbert like we did in the beginning of the season, but this offense runs through Justin Fields and David Montgomery. We’ll likely see a sub-5% ownership tag and that leverage Montgomery offers against Justin Fields’ chalk is always something noteworthy in a high-total game against a run defense that grades 26th in DVOA.
  • Rhamondre Stevenson ($6,800 DK / $7,000 FD) – Great price and a good matchup for a true three-down running back with 18+ touch equity. As long as Damien Harris is out, Stevenson is a cash game staple and fine for your NFL DFS GPP lineups.

*Damien Harris will be active. Now off this situation as a whole.
  • Miles Sanders ($5,900 DK / $6,800 FD) – Like Dalvin Cook, I’ve never got Miles Sanders’ week right this season. At the price and the expected ownership (15-20%), Miles Sanders is perfect for your NFL DFS cash game lineups and is worthy of a GPP roster spot as the Eagles have the #1 DVOA advantage in terms of rushing attacks against a horrendous rushing defense.
  • Isiah Pachecho ($5,600 DK / $6,300 FD) – A double-digit home favorite at sub-5% ownership… GPP sex. The Denver Broncos run defense continues to plummet and Pachecho is hiding in-between all of the chalk value running backs. Let’s go.
  • Tyler Allgeier ($5,300 DK / $6,700 FD) – It looks like the Falcons have given rookie Tyler Allgeier the keys to this offense as they start to slowly cut ties with Cordarrelle Patterson. At the price, Allgeier offers our lineup a ton of value and a safe bet for 15+ touches with significant touchdown equity. Allegeir is full-go for cash and GPP lineups in Week 17 NFL DFS.
  • Brian Robinson Jr. ($5,200 DK / $6,900 FD) – With no Antonio Gibson, lock in Brian Robinson for 18+ touches against the Browns’ 30th ranked run defense (DVOA). The AETY Model had a very hard time projecting the passing down work for this backfield now that Gibson is out, so it’s best to leave Brian Robinson to GPP lineups and just find $100 more for Tyler Allgeier if you need a cash game value running back.

*Update: Ownership now warrants a cash game roster spot for Brian Robinson Jr.

Honorable Mention: Christian McCaffrey, Cam Akers, Leonard Fournette

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

  • Justin Jefferson ($9,500 DK / $9,200 FD)
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7,800 DK / $8,200 FD) – Core play for me in all formats. I don’t really care what the ownership is. This is a prime matchup for any pass catcher against the Bears with an added bonus to those who line up in the slot.
  • Mike Evans ($6,500 DK / $7,500 FD) – Mike Evans historically dominates the Carolina Panthers and will enter this slate at 2-4% in ownership. Evans is one of my favorite NFL DFS GPP plays against a Panthers’ secondary who will be without their cover corner in Jaycee Horn. This is a must-win game for the Bucs’ and a perfect buy-low spot on the outside of this Carolina coverage for the struggling Mike Evans.
  • Amari Cooper ($5,800 DK / $7,100 FD) – As I love Deshaun Watson in GPP lineups this weekend, I obviously love his top target in Amari Cooper. With or without Benjamin St. Juste, this is a matchup Amari Cooper should thrive in and the AETY Model expects this one to go well over the total of 41 points. I wouldn’t say this is a sneaky shootout, but the value is there with everyone in the matchup priced down in all NFL DFS formats. Cooper is only of interest to me in my GPP builds.
  • Garrett Wilson ($5,500 DK / $7,300 FD) – Ridiculous pricing on DraftKings. Wilson is a clear $6K or more wide receiver on any given week, let alone the weeks where Mike White is playing quarterback. He’s an absolute cash game staple this week and a fine value piece for GPP lineups in a must-win game for the New York Jets.
  • Allen Lazard ($5,400 DK / $6,200 FD) – With or without Christian Watson this week, Allen Lazard is in fantastic matchup against the Vikings’ pass funnel defense. The Vikings have been playing significantly more Cover-1 man defense and that’s where Rodgers loves to use the hot routes to his most trusted pass-catcher, Allen Lazard. As long as this game has good pace, Allen Lazard is one of the best pass-catching values on this slate and will be a core play for me in all formats.
  • Courtland Sutton ($5,100 DK / $6,800 FD) – The AETY Model LOVES this spot for Courtland Sutton but that scares me a bit as we haven’t really seen a big game from the big-bodied wideout in since Week 2, but he’s quietly gone for double-digit fantasy points in each of his past four games. The Chiefs’ secondary has been bleeding production to wideouts this season and based on the Vegas pre-match numbers, this is a perfect gamescript for Sutton and the Broncos pass catchers.

For whatever it’s worth, Sutton lead the Broncos with a 28% target share when Greg Dulcich was injured to begin the season. Now that he is on the IR, we should expect Sutton to move around the formation more and fill some of those “hybrid” routes that Dulcich was running. At 2-5% ownership and a valuable price-tag, Sutton is a GPP favorite of mine.
  • Drake London ($4,900 DK / $6,700 FD) Simply too cheap for the expected volume. In cash, I’ll probably lean Allgeier over London, but if you need the savings, London is a perfect cash game play and someone I would also consider in NFL DFS GPP formats against this banged-up Arizona secondary.

Honorable Mention: Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, DJ Moore, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jakobi Meyers (20% ownership tag likely warrants a cash game roster spot), Romeo Doubs, DJ Chark, Elijah Moore

NFL DFS Tight-Ends

  • Travis Kelce ($8,100 DK / $8,300 FD)
  • TJ Hockenson ($5,400 DK / $7,000 FD) – Broke the slate last week and is a fine play again this week in all formats. Over the past four weeks, Hockenson actually has six more targets than Travis Kelce. The volume is too good for the price.
  • Cole Kmet ($4,500 DK / $5,300 FD) – Kmet is the only healthy pass-catcher on this Bears’ offense who poses a threat in fantasy football. He’s quietly lead this team in targets throughout the 2022 NFL season and should be heavily leaned on in the shootout at Detroit. The Lions grade 26th in pass defense DVOA to opposing tight-ends.

Honorable Mention: George Kittle, David Njoku, Tyler Conklin

NFL DFS: The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Jared Goff
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown
  • Garrett Wilson
  • Brian Robinson Jr.
  • San Francisco 49ers

UPDATE: I will unfortunately be out of town on Sunday morning and will miss the livestream so here is my NFL DFS GPP Core Plays:

  • Deshaun Watson
  • Isiah Pachecho
  • Amari Cooper
  • Courtland Sutton

Last week Jon Rahm exploded on Sunday like the volcanoes on the Hawaiian Island course they played on. Collin Morikawa blew a six stroke lead and finished second. Kudos to him for immediately finishing and conducting an emotional interview where he expressed his profound sorrow for losing and how sad he was. Hopefully the 1.5 million for second will assuage his sadness. We get a full field this week, a bit watered down, and the pricing is soft compared to last years tourney. Ownership, especially on Mr. Tom Kim, will be a key factor for your rosters. The Honda Classic DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections will provide you with the tools and intel to propel your teams to the top of the board.

Recent Results

For the Sentry we put out Trey Mullinax as a solid play for 6200 salary and 8% ownership. He finished 14 under, a stroke away from top 20, and brought value for both his effort and his price allowing you to pick another stud up top.

2021 was sweet for me. I took down 6 tourneys, including 20K in a tennis tourney I used a golf program for and the sage advice of Mr. Pickett, our friend from the north and an excellent tennis forecaster for Win Daily Sports. I used some of my winnings to upgrade to integrated AI systems and this past year I only sniffed the top 10 a couple of times. I was relying on the AI too much and it showed. A lesson learned.

Penn Gillette, the one half of Penn and Teller, (the top magicians on the planet) is a mathematical genius. Penn has written several books on Chaos math. Recently they did a study at Penn where they put up a huge screen in the cafeteria and put dots, lines and dashes all over it, changing frequently, and the one constant was that it was totally random at all times. Over three days over 4000 students who ate there were asked what if any pattern they saw, and every single one mentioned a perceived pattern, not one single response was for total randomness. Humans seek patterns, in social arenas, in problem solving, in gaming and in DFS. All the time. Every time.

One of the proven theories in Chaos math is that a sub optimized construct over a finite period of time including variables WILL become optimized. Four days of golf, (a finite time) weather, injuries, W/D’s, players moods (being the variables) means that helpless looking team you built could take it all down. Its a proven fact.

I am in no way suggesting you not use an optimizer. Win Daily Sports has an excellent optimizer that can help you define and refine your golfer pool. If you use them please try and input some rules. For example, if playing Tom Kim this week I want at least one of the other golfers to be Conners. (HINT) If you just run the opto blind you will spend your GPP budget quickly. Remember, we all seek patterns no matter what, our brains are hard wired to seek them out. Being just one player different can mean many extra zeroes on your green screen. (instead of sharing last place money with fifteen hundred strangers). This is for GPP only, cash games can use the more standard opto with most of the chalk being preferred.

The Course – The Field

This is a smaller course, 7000 yards and a par 70. This is one of 10 courses over the season where shots gained putting is a key metric. Those of you with favorite golfers who are suspect putters may have an out on this course due to the large greens and forgiving nature. The rough will be higher (3.25 to 3.5 inches) than it normally is but is not considered too penal.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather is calling for mild winds in the 10-15 mph range. Thursday looks like a PM wave advantage but its not significant. The remainder looks pretty much the same. Make sure you check with Win Daily Sports Discord later tonight for weather and wind updates.

Lets take a look at The Sony Open DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections powered by Win Daily Sports. These tools are designed to allow you to build your lineups and streamline roster construction while gaining leverage on the field through pivots on the chalk and finding value plays in the lower tiers.

**Billy Horschel will play this weekend. He had initially told his team he was heading home to work on his game. Tom Kim will be higher owned than Sungjae in all contests under 100.00, expect the opposite on any contest over that figure, especially the 333.00, 555.00, and up.**

The Results

Our current record for The Frisky Biscuit play is 20-4. We are sitting at 80% winners for an extremely cheap golfer (6K range) that everyone hates (less than 5 % ownership). Our play will be released this evening in The Win Daily Sports Discord channel.

In Closing

We finished with a 97% + accuracy rating on our ownership projections from last year. We want 99%+ this year. We have 37 more tourneys to take down starting tomorrow and we look forward to seeing all those green screens in Win Daily Sports Discord.

They have a new state breakfast In Georgia this week. It’s called “Toads on Toast”.

As always, I hope to be with you on Sunday afternoon, in the money. You can also come and hang out in the Win Daily Sports Discord Chat to talk it out with everyone before the lock!

This will be the third year at Memorial for The Houston Open. With the birdie fests going on recently in the second season you could expect another 24 under to win. If you played even par in this tourney over the last two years you would have ended up in 40th place, and that’s for both years. This course is rated in the top 10 of most difficult to score from around the greens, fairway run off areas and the actual rough. The Houston Open DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections are designed to help you find the studs, value plays and reduced ownership pivots to drive your teams to the top of the leaderboard.

This course does carry major- type lines and hazards, especially with the dry, brittle Bermuda rough at almost 3 inches. Our model is projecting a 12 under to 14 under victory. Bogey avoidance is a key to this weeks contest as well as distance, accuracy and approach play with a boost to around the greens.

The Course – The Field

Bombers with accuracy and elite ball strikers should do well here, and this weeks offering has attracted some top heavy talent. Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns, Tony Finau and Aaron Wise are several top names scheduled to tee it up in Houston on Thursday.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather in Houston calls for a great day for golf on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with winds topping out at 6-7 MPH. Saturday should be a bit breezy with the winds at 13-15 MPH and cooler temperatures in the afternoon. Please check in with The Win Daily Sports Discord later this evening for the latest updates on weather and a wave advantage.

Lets take a look at The Houston Open DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections powered by Win Daily Sports. These tools are designed to allow you to build your lineups and streamline roster construction while gaining leverage on the field through pivots on the chalk and finding value plays as well.

This week Spencer is going for the elusive three peat on The PGA DraftCast as he has won two weeks in a row. Joel, Deep Dive Dave and Sia/ the audience have something to say about his chances. Check out their teams on Twitter until Elon Musk raises the membership fees to 99.99 per month with the blue bird at 100 extra. Maybe he will lose interest and stick to Tesla’s and outer space and hair plugs.

Don’t forget to tune in to The DraftCast, hosted by Joel and featuring Sia, Spencer, and Dave and the surprise guest who drops by to battle you, the audience, for supremacy on the draft board. It’s back to the familiar time slot at 9:00 EST on Tuesday nights and is fun, engaging and educational. Show up, tune in, and help your audience win the week with the best team on the board!

The Results

Last week our Frisky Risky Biscuit play was C. T. Pan who withdrew from The Houston Open this week. He told his hometown paper he tweaked something last Friday at Mayakoba. We do not offer this as an excuse, more to reinforce the volatility of DFS golf.

I remember sitting at +13K with only Sunday to go and with Jon Rahm holding a sizable lead going into Sunday. Late Saturday after finishing a great day, a PGA official told him he had tested positive for Covid and had to withdraw. I ended up that week +180. Joel lost 50K+ based on a ruling by an official as well. Ask Stix about DJ putting and the monetary difference between a birdie and bogey when you are on the brink of winning a huge tourney.

There is still no greater feeling like being in the top 10 late on Sunday with a shot at the takedown. Its why we work so hard to help you get there, and we will be releasing our Frisky Biscuit play tonight in the Win Daily Sports Discord to improve on our record of 20-4 for a low salary and low owned difference maker. Lets take one down this week!

As always, I hope to be with you on Sunday afternoon, in the money. You can also come and hang out in the Win Daily Sports Discord Chat to talk it out with everyone before the lock!

El Camaleon Golf Course was designed by Greg Norman, yes, that Greg Norman, in 2006. It is a resort style course that’s the 5th smallest on tour this year. Bombers won’t have much success here as the tight lies require precision shots. There is dense jungle vegetation and canals that snake through the course that scream double bogey or worse for the errant tee shot. The greens are Paspalum with a rating of 10 on the meter. This means you can paint your house in between the putter striking the ball and it reaching the hole. The Mayakoba DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections powered by Win Daily Sports are designed to give you the metrics to leverage upside and ownership and to pivot off the chalky traps. Our goal is to have you taking down contests using the tools, industry leading analysis, and Discord expert chat.

The Course – The Field

Accurate elite ball strikers should do well here, and the natural beauty has attracted some top heavy talent to this weeks event. Scottie Scheffler, Victor Hovland, Tony Finau and Collin Morikawa are several top names scheduled to tee it up in Mexico on Thursday.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather in Mayakoba calls for a wet tournament. Thunderstorms will be prevalent Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, Friday and Saturday. Sunday is projected to be partly cloudy with the golfers getting a reprieve from the showers. There is a category one hurricane making landfall in Belize right now which will add to the moisture in Mexico. The winds are expected to be higher Thursday afternoon. With the variance these storms bring it’s more difficult to project an edge for the am/pm wave. Please check with Win Daily Sports Discord for the updated weather later tonight along with any edge.

Lets take a look at The Mayakoba DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections powered by Win Daily Sports. These tools are designed to allow you to build your lineups and streamline roster construction while gaining leverage on the field through pivots on the chalk and finding value plays as well.

Last week our Frisky Risky Biscuit play was Harrison Endicott. He tied for the first round lead and finished 10th overall in the tourney. He was owned by 4% of the field. This brings our record to 20-3 this year for a low priced, low owned golfer that brings tremendous value. This weeks Frisky Biscuit will be released tonight in the Win Daily Sports Discord.

As always, I hope to be with you on Sunday afternoon, in the money. You can also come and hang out in the Win Daily Sports Discord Chat to talk it out with everyone before the lock!

Mark Twain once said, “You can go to heaven if you want. I’d rather stay in Bermuda.” This is a beautiful course with natural contours and the wind can change how you play a hole in a matter of moments. The par three 16th can win or lose a tourney for you. It’s the second smallest course on the tour and the par threes are no picnic, they’re crucial to good scores. We want you to access The Bermuda DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections to use leverage and allow for pivots from heavy chalk to construct your lineups with one goal…..to take down the contest!

The Course – The Field

The Bermuda has a lot less star power than last weeks CJ Cup. You know that when the golfer you picked last week and who played marginally is now 3500 more in salary. You will notice that some names in the bottom tier last week are now top tier. This weeks event may come down to a survivors battle due to weather concerns.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather in Bermuda isn’t ideal for a PGA event. Thunderstorms all weekend are going to bring the heavy winds. When you add the swirling coastal breezes to the mix you get a lot of variance built into an island course with no clear edge. These tourneys can be rewarding if you leverage the chalk and try and stay away from name recognition, crowd noise and spending the entire salary cap.

Lets take a look at The Bermuda DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections powered by Win Daily Sports. These tools are designed to allow you to build your lineups and streamline roster construction while gaining leverage on the field through pivots on the chalk and finding value plays as well.

Please excuse the abbreviated version of the article this week. I just had eye surgery yesterday and I’m presently on one good eye, with the word “good” being a very relative term. Getting older sucks, but it sucks a lot less when you’re taking down DFS golf contests! I could be a pirate this year for Halloween and win most realistic costume.

As always, I hope to be with you on Sunday afternoon, in the money. You can also come and hang out in the Win Daily Sports Discord Chat to talk it out with everyone before the lock!

Sometimes in sports you see moments of raw emotion. Last weeks ZoZo winner, Keegan Bradley, got a surprise call from his wife. He broke down on camera realizing what he had just accomplished. It may not be on the level of Aaron Judge getting to 62 home runs, it simply proves that elite athletes are human as well. Humans love sports and competition. Draftkings offers competitive contests with fellow human beings. The CJ Cup DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections are designed to give you the metrics and leverage to pound your fellow humans into dust as you transcend to the top of the leaderboard. Fun times!

The Course

This week we are at Congaree Golf Club, a beautiful top 30 U.S. course that requires a unique set of skills. The greens are fast. You need to hit it long and approach shots will be mostly in the + 200 range. The ARG metrics are in play due to the numerous bunkers that surround the undulating greens.

This field is loaded this year with star power. Its a no cut event so you will have to choose the right stars that can go for four days. Between Rory, Rahm, JT and Scottie you should be able to pair them with other name players littered up and down the board. Those 4 names represent close to 37% win equity The 6K range has the strongest representation of any second season tourney so far.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather in South Carolina is calling for winds 4-6 MPH Thursday and Friday. On Saturday winds will jump to 22 mph and be calmer on Sunday at 12 mph. There is no discernable edge to either wave. Deep Dive Dave noted in Discord that the mornings will be much cooler, and as the day warms up the ball will travel farther. I know I can go much further as long as my balls are warm. Please check with Win Daily Sports Discord for weather updates up until lock.

These projections for The CJ Cup are accurate as of 7:29 EST. Top Tier golfers will/may show a higher % by lock.

The Results

Just in the last 11 days our golf staff expert Joel aka DraftmasterFlex has taken $120,000.00 from golf and football. The team he used for our PGA DraftCast broke the slate and brought in 20,000 and that was just one contest. Just imagine if you had thought hey, I’ll try that team in a contest. You’d have 15,000 more in your pocket today. At Win Daily Sports, “we play what we say” and provide you with priceless intel. You are welcome to join us and find out what DFS winning is all about!

Two golfers are on 18 and after great rounds, one pulls out a cigar and asks his friend for a light. The partner goes over to his golf bag and pulls out a 12 inch BIC lighter and lights his cigar. “Wow! Where did you get this monster lighter from?” His partner replied, “I’ve got a genie in my bag and got it from him.” The man runs over and sure enough, pulls a genie out of the golf bag. “Will you grant me one wish?” I sure can says the genie. “I wish for a million bucks!” The genie said “done”, and jumped back in the golf bag. The sky grew dark and all of sudden one million ducks descend on the course, flapping and quacking everywhere. He looked at his partner and said, “I asked for bucks, not ducks!” His partner shook his head and said, “Yea, I know, my genie is really hard of hearing.” “Did you really think I would ask him for a 12 inch BIC?”

The ZoZo DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections are designed to provide you with the analytics to create leverage and assist you with roster construction. We are powered by Win Daily Sports.

So how much did YOU win last week?

My colleague and friend, and Win Daily Sports fellow expert Joel aka DraftMasterFlex won $120,000.00 in Golf and college football. I was in the top 5 of the college football all day until the last game left me without enough ammo. It was all due to Joel.

Joel posted his golf lineup in the DraftCast show last week. That team was shared with everyone watching. That lineup took down a huge golf contest. Sia picked the first round leader and Spencer, Stix, and Deep Dive Dave, our Euro tour expert, all cashed big.

Catch Joel and Gloeck’s NCAA Football show on Friday nights. Catch the DraftCast on Wednesday nights at 8:00 EST powered by Win Daily Sports. If you had used Joel’s PGA lineup last week from the show you would be 15,000.00 richer. 15K for taking a few minutes to catch a great show. I highly recommend it and your wallet does as well.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present the weather in Japan is calling for light winds, 7-9 MPH with mostly sunny skies with a chance for light precipitation for the tourney. This is a limited field 78 man tourney with no cut. Please check with Win Daily Sports Discord for weather updates up until lock. *** Lock is Wednesday Night***

Let’s take a look at The ZoZo DFS DraftKings Ownership Projections to assist you with roster construction and team building.

***NOTE*** These projections are being placed much earlier than usual due to the early lock this evening. There are many contests that are unfilled and you may have some overlay opportunity.

To quote the great Michael Rasile, “It’s a great day to be alive!” Hopefully everyone is safe from the Hurricane and ready to decompress with some NFL football! The NFL season is here and it feels like Christmas morning. For those who haven’t read it yet, please check out the Week 5 Cash Game Checkdown for your bankroll sustaining, cash game build advice before building your NFL DFS GPP lineups.

If you have any questions or would like some further help when building your lineups, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly on Twitter.

For those looking to get different and make a potential splash in some GPPs, the time is now. We’ll usually be taking some heavy stances on lower-ownership players, but at times, there is certainly good “chalk” to eat (all of which are in the cash game article).

NFL DFS GPP Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts ($8,100 DK / $8,600 FD)

This is one of the few games with a higher total that I actually believe can go relatively back-and-forth. Both teams play at a high tempo and both teams have healthy, explosive playmakers. I really cannot say that for many of the games on this slate. I’m rolling out Hurts in all formats with the expectation this is a ceiling type of game in the dome for Jalen Hurts.

Stacking Options: AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders
Run-Back Options: Marquise Brown, Zach Ertz, Rondale Moore, James Conner

Andy Dalton ($5,200 DK / $6,500 FD)

Similar to Jalen Hurts in the Eagles @ Philadelphia, the Seahawks @ Saints is one of the few games on this slate I truly believe have “game-stack ability”. Quite frankly, this is a week where I’m not too focused on correlation but more so pivots against the heavy chalk running backs. In terms of value, the AETY Model grades Andy Dalton as the #1 value quarterback on the slate and that makes a lot of sense as Seattle has been getting carved by all passing attacks, including a decimated Detroit Lions offense last week.

As long as Seattle can stay in this game (I have very little doubt that they will), this game offers the NFL DFS GPP players a sneaky shootout.

Stacking Options: Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara
Run-Back Options: Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Rashaad Penny

Honorable Mention: Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz

NFL DFS GPP Running Backs

Derrick Henry ($8,200 DK / $8,900 FD)

Derrick Henry is quietly heating up and the ownership has yet to flock his way. The best thing about Derrick Henry right now is that he’s received a 23% target share in the passing attack over the past two weeks. With no Treylon Burks, this offense will (and always has) run through Derrick Henry. It’s not the best matchup in the world, but when Henry gets hot, he gets scorching hot. Outside of no more Taylor Lewan, this offensive line is healthy and ready to roll.

Nick Chubb ($8,000 DK / $9,400 FD)

The Chargers are currently giving up almost five and a half yards per carry. With a 3-5% owned Nick Chubb, what else do you need me to say? This game should be a bit more back-and-forth than people think and Vegas agrees, as we currently have a 47-point total. As always, our concerns with Nick Chubb on DraftKings is that he doesn’t catch passes, so if you’re rostering Chubb, you’re investing in the script that he goes for over 100 rushing yards and multiple touchdowns… which is certainly possible anytime Chubb steps on the field.

Miles Sanders ($6,500 DK / $7,600 FD)

A sub-5% owned Sanders against a dreadful Arizona defense. As everyone looks for the “safer” plays at this price-point (Leonard Fournette, Jamaal Williams, and Alvin Kamara), the NFL DFS GPP community is completely overlooking Miles Sanders. The AETY Model has Miles Sanders as the 7th best running back value on this slate and the ownership projections have Sanders as the 20th rostered running back. I’ll take that edge on the DFS field all day long and ensure myself a piece of every touchdown for the Eagles via Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders.

James Robinson ($6,300 DK / $8,000 FD)

In the same tier as Miles Sanders is James Robinson. Robinson is a significant value on DraftKings specifically but in play on FanDuel as well. I’m currently seeing ownership projections at 2-3% for the lead back of the Jaguars, at home, going up against the Texans run defense that grades 29th in DVOA. This is an absolute smash spot and extreme leverage off of a 20% owned stack of Trevor Lawrence and Christian Kirk. Let’s ride my alma mater’s best running back in James Robinson!

Honorable Mention: Austin Ekeler, Dalvin Cook, James Conner

NFL DFS GPP Wide Receivers

Honestly, DraftKings made a lot of questionable price-tags this week and I really do like the chalk wide receivers from the Week 5 Cash Game Checkdown. My thought there is to use the obvious high-upside values and get different at the running back position above. Here are some other wide receivers I’m interested in rostering pending the lineup construction:

  • Stefon Diggs
  • Mike Evans
  • Tyreek Hill (stacked up with Teddy Bridgewater and Jaylen Waddle if Tyreek is healthy)
  • Deebo Samuel (crazy low ownership for the highest floor and arguably highest upside at the position and nice pivot off of Jeff Wilson chalk)
  • AJ Brown / DeVonta Smith (weekly pick on Marco Wilson matchup and easy stack with Hurts)
  • Marquise Brown (sub 5% due to the field being scared of the potential Darius Slay shadow)
  • Adam Thielen (1% owned, high-upside against the worst secondary in the NFL)
  • Terry McLaurin / Curtis Samuel (no Jahan Dotson and a matchup against the 2nd worst secondary in the NFL)
  • George Pickens
  • Khalil Shakir (significant sneaky value and excellent coverage matchup IF Isaiah McKenzie is OUT)

NFL DFS GPP Tight-Ends

To be as transparent as possible, I’ll be using a TON of O.J. Howard ($2,600 DK / $4,500 FD) due to the savings offered and coverage thoughts from the Week 5 Cash Game Checkdown. I understand if that is not in your appetite but I’m really trying to pay up at Quarterback/Wide Receiver/Defense (yes, Defense) and get different at the running back position. Howard is scary as hell to roster at a high clip, but he opens up a lot for my builds when there really isn’t any tight-end on the slate that I worry will score 20+ points.

Honorable Mention: Dallas Goedert, Zach Ertz, David Njoku, Gerald Everett

After the anti climatic Presidents Cup in which the United States dominated once again, we are in Jackson Mississippi for a full field tourney. There are many new faces from the Korn Ferry tour that showed well at the Fortinet along with rookies with sponsorship exemptions trying to earn their card. The Sanderson Farms DFS Draftkings Ownership Projections are designed to give you the extra intel to help with roster construction and leverage in the large field GPPs.

Whether to trust the Weather

At present early Thursday from 700 am to 10 am the winds will be 7-9 mph and will go up to 13-15 in the afternoon wave. On Friday expect the same with gusts rising to 17-20. With hurricane Ian battering Florida right now keep checking the Win Daily Sports Discord golf channel for updates for this weekend.

A big miss on my end to not discuss the Baltimore/Miami game last week. Congrats to those who played it! Now let’s get right back at it for Week 3. To quote the great Michael Rasile, “It’s a great day to be alive!” The NFL season is here and it feels like Christmas morning. For those who haven’t read it yet, please check out the Week 3 Cash Game Checkdown for your bankroll sustaining, cash game build advice before building your NFL DFS GPP lineups.

If you have any questions or would like some further help when building your lineups, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly on Twitter.

For those looking to get different and make a potential splash in some GPPs, the time is now. We’ll usually be taking some heavy stances on lower-ownership players, but at times, there is certainly good “chalk” to eat.

NFL DFS GPP Quarterbacks

There’s no denying the popular plays of Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts are fantastic. If you’re into them, I will not talk you off of them, but I’ll likely be keeping my exposure to them in mass multi entry contests and cash games. In single entry or 3-max GPPs, here’s where I’m looking to go:

Patrick Mahomes ($7,900 DK / $8,700 FD)

A sub-5% owned Mahomes in a dome, against a banged up Colts’ defense that runs Cover-3 coverage at a league high rate is all systems go for me and the AETY Model. On a slate with Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, we need upside if we’re going to go elsewhere and Patrick Mahomes offers just that and little-to-no ownership.

Stacking Options: Travis Kelce, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman
Run-Back Options: Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr.

Matthew Stafford ($6,500 DK / $7,700 FD)

Getting exposure to the highest expected tempo on the slate is more times than not going to work out in your favor and pairing that with a matchup against one of the worst defenses in football certainly should help. The AETY Model projects Stafford and the Rams for the second highest passing yards on this slate (second to Mahomes) and there’s no ownership going to Stafford (sub 5%).

I prefer to limit my Stafford exposure to a 3-max type of contest, but I have no problems with you taking that route in single entry. The 28th ranked pass defense (DVOA) is going to get torched and as long as you think Kyler Murray and the Cardinals can keep this one close and up-tempo, Stafford should be in for a field day.

Stacking Options: Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, Tyler Higbee
Run-Back Options: Marquise Brown, Zach Ertz, Greg Dortch

Joe Burrow ($6,600 DK / $7,500 FD)

Simply put, the Bengals are damn-near in “must-win” territory and what better time for Burrow and the Bengals to absolutely light up the worst secondary in the NFL? The Jets dead-last in pass defense DVOA and have had an insanely hard time generating pressure on opposing quarterbacks. This is a statement game for Burrow and the Bengals. I love the buy-low spot being offered by these sites for my NFL DFS GPP lineups.

Stacking Options: Ja’Maar Chase, Tee Higgins
Run-Back Options: Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Tyler Conklin, Michael Carter

Honorable Mention: Kyler Murray, Tua Tagovailoa, Marcus Mariota (great value)

NFL DFS GPP Running Backs

This is a week where NO-ONE is going to pay up at running back (David Montgomery, Dameon Pierce, and Leonard Fournette leading the pack in ownership by a mile…and for good reason). I’m not sure that I will either due to the lack of production from high-end backs so far this season and my appetite to load up these top tier wide receivers. If you want to guarantee yourself a nice way to get different, it’s paying up at RB.

  • Jonathan Taylor ($9,000 DK / $9,400 FD)
  • Derrick Henry ($8,100 DK / $8,800 FD)
  • Dalvin Cook ($7,900 DK / $8,300 FD)

Miles Sanders ($5,500 DK / $6,800 FD)

Sitting right around 10-12% in current ownership projections is one of the most talented running backs who’s starting to break away with the lead running back role in Philadelphia. Sanders offers us the perfect leverage off of Jalen Hurts chalk (Hurts may very well have a great game), but Miles Sanders projects as the 4th best value on the slate according to the AETY Model and goes up against the worst run defense on the model and 2nd worse in DVOA. Let’s ride.

Rashaad Penny ($4,900 DK / $6,200 FD)

Kenneth Walker being activated and used a bit in both the rushing and passing game downgrades this play quite a bit, but the lead back in Seattle is still Rashaad Penny until further notice. I somewhat like this Atlanta/Seattle game and think it can be a low-key, no ownership type of gross shootout. While everyone is going to play Dameon Pierce, pivoting down to Rashaad Penny (who the AETY Model likes almost just as much as Pierce) may be a 1% owned play that can make a difference in NFL DFS GPP lineups.

Honorable Mention: Devin Singletary, Joe Mixon, David Montgomery

NFL DFS GPP Wide Receivers

We don’t need to discuss how great of plays Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs, and Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill are. Considering ownership, I’d rank them Jefferson, Kupp, Adams, Hill, Diggs. You know they are fine plays and should feel confident loading them in your lineups or game-stacks.

Ja’Maar Chase ($8,100 DK / $8,500 FD)

The ownership projection is sub-3% right now for Ja’Maar Chase… I’m in. Chase should have an absolute field day against this Jets’ secondary and offer us a great low-owned pivot off of the chalkier studs listed above.

Michael Pittman Jr. ($6,900 DK / $7,400 FD)

I spoke all summer about Matt Ryan WR1’s and won’t stop now. I absolutely love the Chiefs’ side of this game and would start my run-back in those stacks with Michael Pittman Jr. Pittman moves all around the formation and will have a positive gamescript as soon as the Chiefs march down the field and score twice. We know Frank Reich will try to avoid this game becoming a shootout, but I doubt they can they can keep the Chiefs contained for long.

Gabriel Davis ($6,300 DK / $7,200 FD)

While the world world rushes to load up on Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs stacks (there’s no shame in that, it’s been the nuts all year long thus far), I’ll be prioritizing the cheaper, un-owned wide receiver to ensure I get a strong piece of this Bills’ offense in Gabe Davis. Xavien Howard will likely travel with Stefon Diggs (advantage still to Diggs) but at that ownership, I’ll take the stance that Howard does enough to limit the ceiling of Diggs and let hope for a big game out of Davis against Nik Needham, Keion Crossen, and rookie, Kader Kohou.

Drake London ($5,800 DK / $6,200 FD)

London is a true WR1 who currently sits 4th in the NFL for WR target share. The price is a sham and the matchup is absolutely sexy (Seattle grades 30th in pass defense DVOA). I mentioned my small interested in Rashaad Penny earlier and I’ll definitely prioritize Drake London as a mini game-stack or solely as a one-off in NFL DFS GPP lineups.

Honorable Mention: AJ Brown, Tee Higgins, Marquise Brown, Tyler Lockett, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Treylon Burks, Mecole Hardman

NFL DFS GPP Tight-Ends

Travis Kelce ($7,900 DK / $7,800 FD)

A 5-10% owned Travis Kelce against a banged up Colts’ defense who grades 31st in DVOA against opposing tight-ends…

Darren Waller ($5,800 DK / $6,400 FD)

Without Hunter Renfrow, Mack Hollins and Darren Waller got a significant upgrade in the AETY Model. My only concern here is the expected pace of play, but the enhanced workload and price in NFL DFS GPP lineups makes Waller a top-tier tight-end this weekend.

Dallas Goedert ($4,700 DK / $5,500 FD)

The price is way too cheap for the number two passing target in one of the most highest scoring, up-tempo offenses in the NFL. The Eagles are doing a fantastic job putting Goedert in plus matchups against linebackers and and nickel corners. If you’re going to stack with Jalen Hurts, Dallas Goedert and AJ Brown are the clear options here.

Honorable Mention: Mark Andrews, Kyle Pitts, Irv Smith Jr., Tyler Conklin
