12/17 Winner: RJ Barrett

Here is a snippet from the NBA DFS Game Previews article written by Brandon C. Williams. RJ Barrett had a strong game as the New York Knicks dominated the Atlanta Hawks. Barrett finished with 27 points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal in 29 minutes of action.

Outlook for the rest of the season: This was a nice scoring output after struggling the past few games to put the ball through the hoop. He was shooting 27.3 percent of his shots in his previous seven games and this could be the beginning of a nice streak for Barrett. Barrett could be a nice sleeper option for a limited slate in the future.

NFL DFS Week 15 GPP Picks Of Destiny

Week 15 in NFL DFS is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

I am currently in Puerto Rico for the Fanduel World Championship but wanted to provide some of the guys I am looking at this week for my main lineup.

Quarterbacks:

Stud: Jimmy Garoppolo ($8,400 FD)

He is in an obvious great spot against the Atlanta Falcons who travel to the West Coast to face Kyle Shanahan (their old offensive coordinator) and the San Fransisco 49ers. The Falcons will be without their WR2 Calvin Ridley, and honestly, I don’t think they have much of a chance to win here. I am calling for a 49ers blowout. Atlanta has given up 24 touchdowns through the air (tied for 7th most) and probably give up a (at least) few more here. Garoppolo just put up 402 and four touchdowns on the Saints, in New Orleans. If this offense is clicking like it was last week Garoppolo could be your highest scoring QB.

Pivot: DeShaun Watson

Value: Ryan Tannehill ($7,600 FD)

He gets the 27th worst fantasy pass defense in the NFL in the Houston Texans. I rewatched the Texans game this week, and their defensive backs are lost. They allowed Broncos rookie QB Drew Lock to come in and throw for 309 and three touchdowns. Tannehill has been very stable in basically all of his starts as the Titans QB. He has multiple touchdowns in every game except for one and has rushed for three touchdowns in the last five games. I love his price this week and he is in top consideration to make my FanDuel live final lineup. I also like that the Titans can clinch the AFC South with a win on Sunday.

Pivot: Russell Wilson (not on your Chris Carson teams)

Punt: Derek Carr, Kyle Allen, Eli Manning

Running Backs

Stud RB: Chris Carson ($7,400 FD)

Every week you should be targeting the Carolina Panthers rush defense. They have given up five more touchdowns than any other team in the NFL this season. The issue with playing Carson lately has been the Rashard Penny was splitting touches, but now that he is out for the season we can go back to our Seattle bell cow. Carson could be in for 20 touches in this game and WILL get in the end zone at least once. He is my favorite running back on the slate and I will have him in virtually every lineup I make.

Stud Pivot: Christian McCaffrey, Derick Henry, Saquon Barkley (I don’t feel great about it but he is in a good, not great, spot)

Value RB: DeAndre Washington ($6,300 FD) or Josh Jacobs ($7,700 FD)

I like whoever starts but we do not have the official word yet.

We have to watch Josh Jacobs’ news. As I write this he is questionable. IF Jacobs is out I will be locking Washington into my main lineup against the Jacksonville Jaguars defense who has given up on the season. The Jags head to the west coast to get thumped by the Raiders in their last home game ever in Oakland. The Raiders win this game and whoever starts at the running back should give a great day. If Josh Jacobs is starting, feels free to roll him out too.

Update: If it is announced the RB’s will have a 50/50 split, I might have to get off of both of them.

NFL DFS Punts/High Risk: Phillip Lindsay (you can run on KC), Patrick Laird (DraftKings)

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Chris Godwin ($8,400 FD)

Mike Evans is out and Chris Godwin should get fed by Jameis Winston against the Detroit Lions. Our issue all season has been trying to choose bet which Buccaneers wide receiver will put up 30 points, and usually getting it wrong because of the unpredictability of the Tampa QB. Well, that problem is no more. I can’t believe I can actually type Chris Godwin is safe in NFL DFS, but that is the case this week IF we have a healthy Jameis Winston (he has been dealing with a hurt hand).

Stud Pivots: DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Golladay, Devante Adams

Mid WR: A.J. Brown ($6,200 FD)

I hate chasing points but if I am playing Ryan Tannehill I am pairing him with A.J. Brown. Houston is absolutely terrible defending the wide receiver. I was astounded at how bad they looked last week. Brown is going to be the top targeted receiver in Nashville this Sunday and has a very reasonable price tag. If he just gets in the end zone once OR gets 100 yards, he pays off in NFL DFS. If he does both, we are making a lot of money.

Pivots: Jarvis Landry, DJ Moore, Tyler Lockett/DK Metcalf, Deebo Samuel, Sterling Shepard (plenty of options in the mid-tier)

NFL DFS Punt Wide Receivers: Terry McLaurin, Danny Amendola, Larry Fitzgerald, Will Fuller (questionable now), Justin Watson

Tight End Rankings

Darren Waller

Note: George Kittle is in a great NFL DFS spot, but Jimmy G spreads it around so much, and I don’t think they need to rely on the Big Man in what should be an easy win.

Week 15 Wide Receiver Cash Game Plays

Julian Edelman, NE @ CIN

DK ($7,100) FD ($7,700)

Julian Edelman is going to have the most targets for the Patriots and has been doing well lately. In the last three games, he is averaging seven catches for 98 yards. Those were against Kansas City, Houston, and Dallas, which are leagues above the Bengals defense. Edelman also has a touchdown in each of the last two games. I don’t think any defensive back on the roster can stop Edelman so expect a nice 100-yard game out of him.

Jarvis Landry, CLE @ ARI

DK ($6,700) FD ($7,400)

Jarvis Landry is the number one option for Baker Mayfield and going against the worst pass-defending team in the NFL. When he went up against another struggling defense in Miami, Landry had 13 catches for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Expect one of the biggest statistical games of the season for Landry.

Week 15 Wide Receiver GPP Plays

Stefon Diggs, MIN @ LAC

DK ($7,300) FD ($7,700)

Stefon Diggs is still one of the best receivers in the game. He is a deep threat with seven plays of at least 40 yards. The only issue is that he has four fumbles on the year as well so ball security is the biggest weakness. The Chargers are solid against the pass but with a handful of their defensive backs on the injury report means trouble against a speedy receiver. Expect a solid game out of Diggs to keep Minnesota in the NFC North race.

DeAndre Hopkins, HOU @ TEN

DK ($8,000) FD ($8,600)

Hopkins is a catching machine as he is at 93 receptions thus far, which ranks only behind Michael Thomas. Tennesee is in the Top 10 with passing yards allowed per game, but the last time they faced a solid number one receiver, Tyreek Hill had 157 yards. The Titans struggle with the upper echelon of receivers and DeAndre Hopkins should have a great game.

Week 15 Wide Receiver Fades

Keenan Allen, MIN vs LAC

DK ($6,300) FD ($6,800)

He only has six targets in each of the last two games so it seems like Philip Rivers is transitioning away from him as of late. Minnesota forces turnovers so the time of possession could be heavily favored towards the Vikings as well, limiting the opportunities that Keenan Allen would have to make an impact. Xavier Rhodes has been limited in practice due to an ankle injury but is expected to play against the Chargers. With Rhodes covering him for most of, if not all of the game, expect Allen to be held under his average and not worth the price.

Julio Jones, ATL @ SF

DK ($7,000) FD ($7,500)

Julio Jones is still one of the best receivers in the league and the 49ers are coming off a game where they seemed like any offense would cause problems. However, the Saints offense is a completely different animal than the Atlanta offense. San Francisco is still the best team defending the pass with only 150.8 passing yards allowed. Expect a few catches but nothing that will make you regret the decision to fade him in your DFS contests this Sunday.

Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard and Danny Amendola over 17.5 receptions.

Chris Godwin is going to be Jameis Winston’s biggest target as Mike Evans is listed as doubtful so I expect around seven catches for him. O.J. Howard has seen his targets increase the past two weeks as well so expect a handful of catches for him as well. Danny Amendola is good for about five catches himself and that should get you right at 18. This one might be tight but the over should still hit.

12/13 DFS Winner: Jamison Crowder

Here is a preview of what to expect from the Thursday Night Football DFS Showdown article written by Andrew Erickson. Crowder had the best receiving night for the New York Jets in a loss at Baltimore. He went for six catches for 90 yards and a pair of trips to the end zone.

Outlook for the rest of the season: Crowder was the best receiver on the field last night, leading the game in targets, receptions, yards, and touchdowns. This was a nice showing for him after almost a month of duds where he didn’t match this performance. With two more games left on the year, expect a step back from this performance with solid secondaries opposing him.

Week 15 Quarterback Cash Game Plays

Jimmy Garoppolo, ATL vs SF

DK ($5,600) FD ($8,400)

He is coming off of one of his best games as a starting quarterback and the Falcons defense shouldn’t cause issues. Atlanta is allowing a 100.3 passer rating this season, which is the seventh-highest in the NFL. Garoppolo is playing with solid receivers that will create separation. With the 49ers still trying to win the NFC West, they should be ready while the Falcons are eliminated from playoff contention. Even with a backup center for the remainder of the season, Garoppolo should still have a solid game.

Tom Brady, NE @ CIN

DK ($6,100) FD ($7,600)

This should be the bounce-back week for the Patriots offense in general as they travel to Cincinnati. The Bengals have allowed just 16 passing touchdowns so don’t expect the huge total from Brady. However, he doesn’t turn the ball over often and is a cheaper option on the slate. The Bengals allow 64 percent of passes to be completed so expect Brady’s accuracy to increase from where it has been the previous month. Expect a nice rebound game against a team poised to have the first pick in the NFL Draft.

Aaron Rodgers, CHI vs GB

DK ($6,800) FD ($8,000)

This game is completely different than when these two teams met to open up the season. The Chicago Bears are dealing with injuries across the defense with Roquan Smith being placed on IR as well as Prince Amukamara and Danny Trevathan potentially missing this game. Aaron Rodgers should dominate a depleted defense and this Bears team has given up at least 275 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks in the last three games. Aaron Rodgers is completing 64.3 percent of his passes this season and only threw two interceptions so far. Expect Rodgers to continue playing well and get closer to locking up the NFC North.

Week 15 Quarterback GPP Plays

Jameis Winston, TB @ DET

DK ($6,900) FD ($8,200)

Winston had a great statistical game passing the ball last week against the Indianapolis Colts without Mike Evans. Evans is currently doubtful for this matchup as of this writing. Tampa ranks second in passing yards per game and the Lions allow the third-most passing yards in the league. I do not see a situation where Detroit can stop Jameis, all they can do is hope he coughs up the football multiple times.

Baker Mayfield, CLE @ ARI

DK ($6,400) FD ($7,700)

Not sure if I am pro-Baker or anti-Arizona this week. Baker should feast against this Arizona defense that is the worst at passing defense. They allow the most yards per game, touchdowns and best passer rating in the league. Baker is completing under 60 percent of his passes this season but this should be the return to last year’s version of Mayfield with a soft opposing defense. The Browns somehow have a chance to still make the playoffs and need this win, so expect Baker to come out with a lot of emotion.

Russell Wilson, SEA @ CAR

DK ($ 7,000) FD ($8,100)

Carolina is still trying to find out their identity as the season is reaching its end. Their pass rush is one of the best in the league with the second-most sacks. However, Carolina has two of their DE on the injury report. Expect Wilson to have his usual game as the running game will set him up for some big plays.

Week 15 Quarterback Fades

Mitch Trubisky, CHI @ GB

DK ($,6000) FD ($7,500)

The Packers are a different team at home than they are on the road. Green Bay’s defense has 13 interceptions on the year and Tribusky is prone to mistakes. The Packers are trying to lock up this division and defeating the Bears could eliminate Chicago from the playoffs. Expect the Green Bay defense to lock down Tribusky and turn him back into a pumpkin.

Andy Dalton, CIN @ NE

DK ($4,900) FD ($7,000)

Bill Belichick will shut down Andy Dalton, plain and simple. Dalton has had a solid couple games since being renamed the starting quarterback but that was against the Jets and Browns. The Patriot defense struggles against speedy teams and the Bengals do not have much speed. Expect this to get ugly early and potentially see Dalton pulled late.

Josh Allen, BUF @ PIT

DK ($6,000) FD ($7,600)

Buffalo has two of their offensive tackles on the injury report, which is a little concerning. Pittsburgh’s passing defense is one of the best in football with the most sacks, fifth-least passing yards, and 18 interceptions. Allen has been good this year but the Bills offense has stuttered at times this season and against an elite defense is prone to do so again in primetime.

Jimmy Garoppolo over 270.5 passing yards and Matt Ryan under 265.5 passing yards.

Atlanta is allowing 258.2 passing yards per game and this is the time for Garoppolo to sling the football. Atlanta stops the run well so look for a large number of passing attempts and Jimmy G should finish with 300+ yards. San Francisco is coming off their worst pass-defending games in a shootout with the New Orleans Saints. However, the Falcons do not have nearly the amount of weapons that the Saints did. The 49ers also rank first in pass defense this season so Matt Ryan should easily hit the under.
