Let’s dig in and see if we can find some touchdowns!

Monkey Knife Fight Touchdown Dance

Jonathan Taylor vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts need to win today.  If they win, they’re in the playoffs.  They have gotten to this point thanks to the breakout performance of second-year running back, Jonathan Taylor.  If you’ve followed any of my writing this year you know of my affinity for Taylor.  He should absolutely feast today against a Jaguars defense that gave up 4 rushing touchdowns last week against the Patriots.  No offense to guys like Stevenson and Harris, but if they can each get 2 touchdowns against the Jaguars then Taylor should be able to get at least one today.

Taylor had a string of 10 consecutive weeks earlier this year where he found the end zone.  After failing to score in week 16, he got back on the saddle last week vs. the Raiders.  This week he’ll make it 2 consecutive weeks with a touchdown.  He’s currently sitting at 18 rushing touchdowns on the year.  Can he make it to 20 today?  Confidence Level of at least 1 – High

D’Onta Foreman vs. Houston Texans

With Derrick Henry officially ruled out for the week, it’s back to being D’Onta Foreman time!  And I expect Foreman to take full advantage of what could be his final opportunity to shine.  Foreman has a touchdown in 3 of his last 4 games and should be able to make it 4 out of 5.  The Texans have been brutal against the run this year.

Last week was the first time since Week 11 against this same Titans team that they didn’t give up a rushing touchdown to a running back.  Prior to last week, they had given up 9 rushing touchdowns in just 5 weeks.  I’m looking for Foreman to feast today and get to the end zone at least once.  Confidence Level – High

Justin Jefferson vs. Chicago Bears

Last week I made it to a point to add in a Wide Receiver to the Monkey Knife Fight Touchdown Dance and was successful with Kupp (didn’t really go out on a limb).  This week the receiver I’m looking towards is Justin Jefferson.  Even with Thielen in the mix the majority of the year, Jefferson has been the guy in Minnesota.  The sophomore wide receiver has set career highs in just about every stat.

The Bears have been very susceptible to giving up touchdowns this year to wideouts as they have given up the second-most in the NFL at 20.  With Jefferson oh so close to getting double-digit touchdowns for the first time in his career, I expect the return of Kirk Cousins to get him there.  Confidence Level – Highish.

Touchdown Dance Wrap Up

Other guys I also like this week for the Monkey Kife Fight Touchdown Dance are Darnell Mooney vs. Minnesota and Devonta Freeman vs. Pittsburgh.

Let’s dig in and see if we can find some touchdowns!

Touchdown Dance

Ronald Jones vs. New York Jets

Ronald Jones stands as good of a chance of scoring a touchdown today as anyone on the early slate.  No team in the NFL has given up more rushing touchdowns this season than the Jets as they’ve given up 22.  The next closest team is Houston with 18.  Even if we dive into a smaller subset, the Jets have given up 5 over their 4 last games.  Running backs have their way with the Jets and Ronald Jones will also have his way with the Jets.

Jones filled in admirably last week for Fournette with 65 rushes and 1 touchdown against a slightly tougher opponent in the Panthers.  With Fournette on IR, Jones will get the bulk of the carries again today and should find the end zone in back-to-back weeks, helping us get our first touchdown in the Monkey Knife Fight Touchdown Dance contest.  Confidence Level – High

Jonathan Taylor vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Jonathan Taylor had somewhat of a disappointing week in week 16.  Although he rushed for over 100 yards for the third straight week, he failed to find the end zone for the first time since week 3.  In week 17 he gets a great shot of bouncing back against a Raiders team that has been below average against running backs all year.

On the year they’ve given up 14 rushing touchdowns to running backs and 5 over the last 4 weeks.  They’ve gotten progressively worse over the course of the year.  Only once over the past 6 weeks have they gone a game without giving up a rushing touchdown to a running back.  Jonathan Taylor should have no issue finding the end zone in this one.  Confidence Level – High

Cordarrelle Patterson vs. Buffalo Bills

A once stout defense against the run, the Bills have really been struggling to try to contain running backs.  They started out the year not giving up a single rushing touchdown to a running back until week 6 against the Titans.  Since then it’s been all downhill.  Over the last 6 weeks, they’ve given up a total of 9.   In that stretch, they have games where they gave up 4 and 3 touchdowns.  I’m going to attack them today with a running back that I’ve gone to in the past, Cordarrelle Patterson.

The ninth year back has really had a breakout season.  He’s set career highs in both rushing touchdowns and rushing yards.  He’s had rushing touchdowns in 3 of his last 5 games.  Patterson is a risk because he doesn’t get a whole lot of volume, but where he does get volume is in the red zone and that’s extremely important here.  Over the last 3 weeks, he’s had 13 red zone rushes.  If the Falcons get in the red zone today, they’ll hand it off to Patterson. Confidence Level – Medium

Cooper Kupp vs. Buffalo Bills

I normally keep it to running backs in the Monkey Knife Fight Touchdown Dance because their volume is easier to predict at times.  That said, Cooper Kupp is in an absolute smash spot today.  The Ravens’ secondary has been decimated by injuries all season and the results have shown it.  Over the last 4 weeks, the Ravens have given up a league-high 8 touchdowns to wide receivers.  That’s tops in the NFL over that stretch.  During that stretch of 4 games, they’ve given up multiple touchdowns to receivers 3 times.

Kupp just stands out so much here.  Even last week in what was considered a subpar week for Stafford and Kupp, he still had over 100 receiving yards.  Last week was the first time since week 12 he failed to find the endzone.  I just don’t see a scenario where he goes a second straight week without a touchdown.  Confidence Level – High

We are in the home stretch of the NFL season.  It’s Week 16 and we are starting to get a clearer, but packed playoff picture.  Today we have a solid lineup of games and some teams looking to bounce back after sub-par games last weekend.

Let’s dig in and see if we can find some Monkey Knight Fight games we can win.

More or Less – 3.6x Payout

Matthew Stafford – 280.5 Passing Yards – More

Matthew Stafford has the potential to have an absolute monster game today vs. the Vikings.  Only 2 teams this season have given up more passing yards to QB’s than the Vikings.  In total, they’ve given up over 3,800 yards passing to QB’s.  The magical number that Monkey Knife Fight is giving us for Stafford today is 280.5.  The Vikings have given up more than this number 7 times.  Most importantly though, they give up at least 280 yards 4 times in their last 5 games.  Their secondary has been taking a beating.

If we switch gears and look at what Stafford has done of late I’m pretty confident that he’ll get to the 281 yards needed to beat his target today.  He’s thrown for at least 281 yards in 6 of his last 8 contests.  Stafford has as good of a crop of pass-catchers as you’ll see in the game.  The group of Kupp, Beckham Jr., Jefferson, and Higbee should help Stafford get to his number today.  I’m going with the More side.

Tom Brady – 280.5 Passing Yards – Less

Tom Brady will be without his top running back in Leonard Fournette today.  Although Ronald Jones is a very capable back I expect Brady to throw even more than he normally if that’s even possible as the Buccaneers offense is a pass-heavy offense.  Week in and week out the Buccaneers are running about a 70/30 pass to run offense.  One of my biggest trepidations here is that the path to beating the Panthers is on the ground, not through the air.

Only the Bills have given up fewer passing yards than the Panthers this season.  If we look at the target of 280.5 yards that Monkey Knife Fight set today, the Panthers have given this up just once this season and that was all the way back in week 6 vs. the Vikings.

My other big reason for concern here is that Brady will be without the 2 guys that he has relied on heavily this year in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.  Between the 2 of them, they’ve accounted for over 2,000 yards this season.  Not having them on the field today will be a big blow for Brady.  The Buccaneers are expected to get Antonio Brown back today but that’s just not enough for me here. Anything can happen on a Sunday, especially when your name is Tom Brady.  There are just too many negatives here for me today.  I’m going with the Less side for Brady.

More or Less – 3x Payout

James Robinson – 75.5 Rushing Yards – More

With Urban Meyer out of the picture, it’s starting to be James Robinson’s time to shine.  He started to shine last weekend against a poor Houston Texans team as he rushed for 75 yards and a TD.  This week he gets an equally tasty matchup as the Jets are just as bad against the run as the Texans.  The Texans and Jets have given up more rushing yards than any other teams in the business.

The Jets have been especially atrocious against the run in recent games.  They’ve given up more than 100 yards rushing to running backs in 6 of their last 8 games.  Over the last 3 weeks, running backs have more than 460 yards rushing against them.  I’m not going to sit here and say that the way to beat the Jets is on the ground as they’re an overall bad squad.  But they are 100% attackable on the ground and the 75.5 rushing yards goal that we’re getting from Monkey Knife Fight today seems extremely attainable for a guy like Robinson.  I’m going with the More side on this one.

Alexander Mattison – 69.5 Rushing Yards – Less

Alexander Mattison should get the start today with Dalvin Cook on the shelf due to Covid protocols.  In the three games that Mattison has started this year, he’s done nothing but produce.  In each of those 3 games, he had more than 20 carries and at least 90 yards rushing.  On most other teams he’d be the top guy carrying the ball.  With that said, I think today is the day that Mattison struggles as a starter.

2 of the 3 games he started were against the Lions and the third was against the Seahawks.  Both teams are in the bottom half of the league in terms of run defense.  In the Rams, we’re getting a team that is extremely solid against the run.  They’ve given up more than 100 yards rushing to running backs just 4 times on the year.  I expect the Rams to get out in front early in this game which will mean more passes from Kirk Cousins.  More passes will mean fewer carries for Mattison.  Getting to 70 yards will be tough for him today.  I’m siding with Less here.

Good luck tonight and hope you cash!

Tonight’s Thursday night match up between the 49ers (8-6) and Titans (9-5).  The 49ers come in to this one riding a 2 game winning streak trying to solidify their playoff spot. They will be without Elijah Mitchell for a third straight game as was already ruled out.  The AFC South leading Titans look to pad their lead tonight with a win.  One of the things they have riding for them tonight is the possible return of star wideout and favorite target of Ryan Tannehill, Mr. A.J. Brown.

Let’s dig in and see if the we can find some Monkey Knight Fight games we can win.

More or Less – 3.6x Payout

Jimmy Garoppolo – 239.5 Passing Yards – More

Only the Buccaneers have given up fewer rushing yards on the year than the Tennessee Titans.  The Titans own one of the best rush defenses in the league.  Because of that, I expect the 49ers to have to pass more in this game.  In order for them to win tonight, they’ll need to have a ton of success through the air and for Garoppolo to have one of his better games of the year.  Thankfully, the Titans are nowhere near as good against QB’s as they are running backs.

They’re in the bottom 10 in terms of passing yards against.  Monkey Knife Fight is giving us a goal of 239.5 yards tonight and it’s a number that Garoppolo has hit twice in the last 3 weeks.  The passing game for the 49ers normally starts with George Kittle.  That said, I expect Garoppolo to use his wideouts a bit more tonight as the Titans are one of the best teams in the league against tight ends.

Against wide receivers?  They are one of the worst as only the Vikings have given up more yards to wide receivers.  While I do still love Kittle in this game, I’m looking for Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk to be the biggest beneficiaries of the passing game tonight.  I’m going with More side for Garoppolo tonight.

Ryan Tannehill – 205.5 Passing Yards – More

This is the side that is trickier in my opinion.  Tannehill has not been overly sharp over the past few weeks.  He’s in one of the worst stretches of his career as he’s been under 200 yards passing in 3 consecutive weeks.  The common denominator in those games is that he’s been mostly without his top two targets in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones.  While Jones is no longer the receiver he used to be when he was with the Falcons,  he’s still an imposing force that’s very capable of catching balls.

In A.J. Brown we have someone that has back-to-back seasons of 1,000 receiving yards and if it wasn’t for injures he’d easily have a third.  With both of them potentially back tonight, Tannehill will be back to having 2 of his main targets.  If they are back and healthy tonight Tannehill should be able to get over the 205-yard mark that Monkey Knife Fight has given us tonight.  As of writing this, they are expected to play so I’m going to side with the More.  Should something happen today where neither plays, Tannehill under 200 yards for a fourth straight game seems like a no-brainer and I’d go with the Less Side.

More or Less #2 – 3.6 Payout

Jeff Wilson – 64.5 Rushing Yards – Less

With Eli Mitchell out tonight Wilson will again be the top running back for the 49ers.  Last week against the 24th ranked rushing defense of the Falcons he was able to gain 110 yards rushing on 21 carries.  Tonight’s a much tougher task as he’s facing one of the best rush defenses in the Titans.  I highlighted it above when talking about Garoppolo that only the Buccaneers have given up fewer rushing yards than the Titans.

Although the 49ers will try to establish the run early to help with their passing game, I just don’t think they’ll have much success against a team that has given up 65 rushing yards to running backs just once over the past 5 weeks.  Less side for me here.

D’Onta Foreman – 54.5 Rushing Yards – More

The Titans are expected to get some big weapons back tonight with the returns of Jones and Brown.  If that does happen it actually makes me like D’Onta Foreman even more than I already do.  A more spread-out offense only helps to make it a more effective offense too.

In the last 3 weeks, Foreman has eclipsed the 100-yard mark twice.  While I don’t expect him to get quite up that number tonight, I do expect him to crush the 54.5 yards that Monkey Knife Fight has picked for us.  I’m going with More here.

Already a member, don’t forget to use our optimizer daily.

Good luck tonight and hope you cash!

Today I’ll be highlighting some of my favorite plays on Monkey Knife Fight. Even though Covid has run rampant in the NFL, we still have an action packed Sunday with some solid plays.

More or Less  3.6x Payout

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott vs. New York Giants (269.5 Passing Yards) – More

If you read my QB’s and Stacks article this week, you know that I love Dak Prescott this week.  He’s coming off a subpar game against Washington in which threw for only 211 yards.  Dallas should come out firing today against a Giants team that has been absolutely brutal against the pass this year.  The Giants have given up at least 270 passing yards in 4 of their last 6 games.  One of the games they didn’t was against a team that runs a run heavy offense.

Prescott faced the Giants in Week 5 and threw for 302 yards with 3 touchdowns.  I see no reason why he shouldn’t replicate that feat.  I’m siding with the More side of the 269.5 yards that Monkey Knife Fight is giving us today.

Mike Glennon vs. Dallas Cowboys (185.5 Passing Yards) – More

This one gets a little trickier as Mike Glennon just hasn’t played much.  I’m going to go w/ more game theory in this pick though because this is a game that should get out of hand pretty early.  I expect the Cowboys to get up early in this one.  Probably after their first possession.  With my expectation that the Cowboys will be up early and often in this one the Giants will have to play through the air today in an effort to catch up.

With that, Glennon should get a ton of passing volume today.  He has only 2 starts this year at QB but in both games he hit his number that Monkey Knife Fight is giving us.  The Cowboys have given up at least 200 yards in all but 2 games this season. That continues today as Glennon gets over the 200 yards mark.  I’m also going with the More side on this one.

More or Less  3x Payout

Baltimore Ravens vs. Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers vs. Baltimore Ravens (265.5 Passing Yards) – More

Similar to Prescott, Aaron Rodgers is one of my favorite QB’s this week.  He’s going into a matchup against a depleted Ravens secondary.  Even with a healthy secondary, the Ravens have given up the second most passing yards on the year.  Only the Seahawks have given up more passing yards.

Rodgers is coming into this one in peak form, throwing for at least 292 yards in 4 straight games.  Monkey Knife Fight has the number set at 265.5 yards, a number that Rodgers has failed to get just twice in the last 8 weeks.  I just don’t see how he doesn’t easily get to this number today.  I’m going with the More side on this too.

Devonta Freeman vs. Green Bay Packers (52.5 Rushing Yards) – Less

This is going to be a weird week for the Baltimore Ravens.  Lamar Jackson hasn’t been ruled out just yet, but he also hasn’t practiced all week.  Should he miss this week, the Ravens game plan will be a different one than we’ve been accustomed to.  Although Huntley filled in admirably last weekend, he’s still not in the same category as Jackson.

Regardless, I just don’t see Freeman getting to the 52.5 target that Monkey Knife Fight is giving us today.  On the year it’s a number that Freeman has only gotten to twice.  Once last week against the Browns and then also in week 9 vs. the Vikings.  The Packers have one of the best run defenses in the league.  Only 6 teams have given up fewer rushing yards to running backs all year.  They should have no trouble keeping Freeman in check today.  On this one, I’m going with the Less side.

Good luck and hope you cash!

Tonight’s Thursday night match up should be one of the better TNF games of the year.  We have a battle between the AFC West leading Kansas City Chiefs (9-4) and the team right behind them in the standings, the Los Angeles Chargers (8-5).  A win by the Chargers tonight and the two teams are tied In the standings.  A win by the Chiefs and they open up a commanding 2 game lead with just 3 to play.  This battle tonight brings us a matchup between 2 of the best young quarterbacks in the league in Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.

Let’s dig in and see if the we can find some Monkey Knight Fight games we can win.

More or Less – 3.6x Payout

Justin Herbert – 289.5 Passing Yards – Less

On the year Justin Herbert has been brilliant.  The 23-year old QB has thrown for over 3,800 yards and after tonight should get to the 4,000 passing yard mark.  If we take a look at the 289 yards that Monkey Knight Fight has given us tonight, he’s gotten to that number 7 times this year.  In fact, all 7 of those times he threw for over 300 yards.

With that said, Chiefs defense has been playing much better of late.  They haven’t given up more than 270 yards passing since week 5 against the Bills and were able to hold Derek Carr under 265 twice during the last 4 weeks.  Yes, the same Derek Carr that is second to only Tom Brady for passing yards this season.  With the Chiefs secondary being tough of late, I’m going to go w/ the Less on this prop.

Patrick Mahomes – 287.5 Passing Yards – More

In looking at the Chargers defense, they’ve been a little more inconsistent than the Chiefs.  Over the last 5 weeks the Chargers have given up more than 290 yards twice and both were to stand out quarterbacks in Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow.  If we look at 2 of their better games during that 5 game stretch, they were against Teddy Bridgewater and Mike Glennon.  Not quite guys that jump out at you when you think upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks.

In a game that should be closer than any game the Chiefs have had in a number of weeks my gut tells me that the game script will call for Mahomes to throw the ball a little more than he’s had to recently.  While the 287.5 yards that Monkey Knight Fight is giving us is high tonight, I do think that Mahomes gets there tonight.  I’m siding with the More on this one.

Rapid Fire – 3x Payout

Justin Herbert vs. Patrick Mahomes (+2.5 passing yards)

I’ve highlighted in the More or Less section that I think only one of these quarterbacks hits their Monkey Knife Fight target tonight.  With that being Patrick Mahomes and both targets being very close, I’m siding with Mahomes on the Rapid Fire tonight.

Tyreek Hill vs. Keenan Allen (+5.5 receiving yards)

With both quarterbacks expected to air it out tonight, this should be a fun matchup that Monkey Knife Fight has given us between Tyreek Hill and Keenan Allen.  Both guys have been extremely solid this year.  Allen has 929 receiving yards through 12 games and Hill has 1,030 through 13.  So we know we have 2 guys that have sky’s the limit potential.  I’m going to side with Hill on this one tonight.

I don’t think there is another player in the NFL with the upside that Hill has.  His game logs in the last couple of games look rough.  But those logs have more to do w/ game script than it does with Hill.  The Chiefs were winning convincingly in both of their recent games and the need just wasn’t there for Hill.  Tonight should be a closer matchup and Hill will be more of an active participant if the Chiefs have any hope of winning.  Monkey Knife Fight is giving Allen an extra 5.5 yards tonight but I don’t’ think it will matter.  I’m siding with Hill on this one.

Good luck tonight and hope you cash!

Today I’ll be highlighting one of my favorite contests on MKF, the Touchdown Dance.  This Sunday MKF is running a special contest where if you play in a $5+ Touchdown Dance contest and all 3 of your players score a touchdown you get a share of the jackpot.  Today’s jackpot is $5,000!

Let’s dig in and see if we can find sometouchdowns!

Touchdown Dance

Alvin Kamara vs. New York Jets

It’s going to the Alvin Kamara show today as he gets to take on the dreadful defense of the New York Jets.  There’s just so much going for Kamara today that I just don’t see him not getting a touchdown.  For starters, he’s been out for 4 weeks.  His legs should be at the freshest they’ve been since training camp.  Second, his back up running backs Ingram and Montgomery both tested positive for Covid this week and are extremely questionable for today’s game.  Most importantly, he’s facing a Jets defense that has been one of the absolute worst against the run all year.

Last weekend they gave up 174 yards rushing to a team that has an average at best back field.  No team has given up more rushing touchdowns this season than the Jets.  And it’s not even close.  Kamara has only 3 rushing touchdowns all year but had touchdowns in back to back games leading up to his absence.  With all indications showing that Kamara is to be fully back today I’m all in on him finding the end zone.  Confidence Level – Bet the farm

Cordarelle Patterson vs. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have only given up 7 rushing touchdowns this season but if we look at them recently, 4 have been over the past 4 weeks.  They have shown some cracks in the armor over the past few weeks against the run and today they are facing a running back having a break out campaign at age 30 in Cordarelle Patterson.

Patterson has seen an uptick in volume the last couple of weeks and has done extremely well with it.  Over the last 2 weeks he has nearly 30 carries and has accounted for almost 190 yards on the ground.  Most importantly he’s out carrying Mike Davis in the red zone over the last 4 weeks with 5 carries to just 1 for Mike Davis.  If Patterson can carry the momentum he’s had from the last 2 weeks I like him to score at least 1 touchdown today.  Confidence Level – High

Antonio Gibson vs. Dallas Cowboys

With J.D. McKissic unlikely to play again Sunday, Antonio Gibson should get all the volume he can handle.  The third year back has been getting a ton of volume over the past few weeks.  He has carries of 24, 19, 29, and 23 over his last 4 games.  While he hasn’t quite been finding the end zone, the chances have been there for him.

Over the past 4 weeks no running back in the NFL has more Red Zone rushes than Gibson as he has 24.  While he’s only been able to convert 2 of them into rushing touchdowns, we need those chances in the Red Zone and we’re getting them from him.  With today being a big divisional matchup between the top two teams in the NFC East I expect Gibson to have a little more fire in him today.  Look for him to find the end zone early in this one in the hope that he sets the pace for his team today.  Confidence Level – Medium

Touchdown Dance Wrap Up

Other guys I also likes this week are Nick Chubb vs. Baltimore and D.J. Moore vs. Atlanta.

Good luck and hope to share the $5k with you!

Tonight’s Thursday night match up brings us to Minnesota with a matchup between a Steelers (6-5-1) team riding high off the momentum of a last second victory vs. the Ravens and a Vikings (5-7) team that may get their star running back tonight.  The season has not gone to plans for either team as the Steelers sit in third behind the Ravens and Bengals while the Vikings are riding a 2 game losing streak and are 2 games under .500.  I’m going to be highlighting some of my favorite Monkey Knife Fight plays for the night.

More or Less – 3.6x Payout

Kirk Cousins – 255.5 Passing Yards – More

Kirk Cousins should easily get to this target tonight.  Over the last 4 weeks he’s hit this number 3 times and those 3 times he hit the number pretty convincingly.  Even though one of Cousins’ top pass catchers will be out for the game, he should be able to do enough with Justin Jefferson and the likes of Osborn and Westbrook  to get over the 255 yard passing mark.

The Steelers can be a tough against QB’s but last week they showed they can still give up some passing yards as Lamar Jackson had over 250 yards passing.  If Jackson can get to this secondary, I have no doubt that Cousins can too.  I’m going with the More side of this one.

Ben Roethlisberger – 245.5 Passing Yards – More

Big Ben should get to his target as well.  Jared Goff torched this secondary for nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns last week.  That’s really all you need to know to get an idea where my head is at with this prop.  While Big Ben is no longer the QB he used to be, he can still sling it downfield and is still on pace to have his 13thseason with at least 3,000 yards passing.

If we look at his most recent games he’s hit this target in 3 out of the last 5 games.  In the two games that he didn’t, one was against a solid Ravens defense and the other was in a game against the Bears where he still had a 111 QB rating.  Steelers are in must win mode and in order to do that they’ll need Big Ben and Diontae Johnson to connect early and often. Like Cousins, I’m going with the More side of this one too.

Rapid Fire – 3x Payout

Kirk Cousins vs. Ben Roethlisberger (+10.5 yards)

I’ve highlighted in the More or Less section that both QB’s should hit their number tonight.  In what should be a close game tonight I’m going to go with Big Ben here.  The slight edge I’m giving to Roethlisberger is due to the Vikings secondary giving up a bit more yardage of late to QB’s and he’s also getting the extra 10.5 yards tonight.  Those extra yards are going to be key to getting him over the hump and beating out Cousins.  Big Ben for me here.

Justin Jefferson vs. Diontae Johnson (+15.5 yards)

I love Justin Jefferson, but not having his counterpart in Thielen tonight is really going to hurt him.  The Steelers should be able to throw some extra coverage on Jefferson tonight because the duo of Osborn and Westbrook are nowhere near in the same class of Thielen.

With Diontae Johnson we’re getting someone who’s on a solid stretch of football right now.  Over his last 6 games he’s had at least 80 yards receiving 5 times and has hit 100 yards in 2 of his last 3.  The one game he didn’t get to 100 he still ended up with 95 yards.  The extra 15.5 yards he’s getting tonight will be key to him outperforming Jefferson.  Diontae Johnson for the win tonight.

Good luck tonight and hope you cash!

Today I’ll be highlighting one of my favorite contests on MKF, the Touchdown Dance.  This Sunday MKF is running a special contest where if you play in a $5+ Touchdown Dance contest and all 3 of your players score a touchdown you get share of the jackpot.  Today’s jackpot is $5,000!

Let’s dig in and see if we can find sometouchdowns!

Touchdown Dance

Jonathan Taylor vs. Buffalo Bills

Jonathan Taylor is playing some insane football right now.  He’s on a stretch we haven’t seen in quite some time.  Since week 14 he has 14 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns.  Over the last 2 weeks he rushed for 5 touchdowns against 2 of the better rush defenses in the league.

This week he gets a matchup vs. a Texans team that is one of only 6 teams to give up double digit rushing touchdowns on the year.  Look, anything can happen on any given Sunday.  But we’re talking about one of the best backs in the business against one of the worst rush defenses in the league.  Nothing is ever a lock, but Taylor is as close to a lock for a touchdown as there is this weekend.  Confidence Level – Bet the farm.

Joe Mixon vs. San Diego Chargers

Another team that has really struggled against the run?  Well look no farther than the San Diego Chargers.  On the year only the Jets have given up more rushing touchdowns than the Chargers.  Chargers have given up 14 rushing touchdowns this season.  They haven’t gone a game without giving up without giving up a rushing touchdown since week 4 against the Raiders.

If we switch gears to talk about Mixon, well he’s been damn solid.  Over the past 2 weeks he’s rushed for close to 300 yards and has 4 touchdowns.  He’s scored multiple touchdowns in 4 straight and has found the end zone in all but 2 games this season.  The stars have aligned for Mixon and he has a solid chance to make it 5 straight with multiple touchdowns.  Confidence Level – High

Miles Sanders vs. New York Jets

This pick is more matchup based than it is talent based as Sanders has yet to find the end zone this season.  Jets are one of the worst teams at defending the rush.  Over the past 4 weeks they’ve given up over 500 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns to running backs.  Everything is pointing to Sanders having a great game today.

The Eagles will be without Jordan Howard and their “star” QB in Jalen Hurts.  All of those extra chances, especially in the red zone, should funnel to Sanders today.  If Sanders finally gets more than a couple of red zone looks today, he should be able to finally find the end zone.  Confidence Level – It’s the Eagles so I’m going with Medium

Touchdown Dance Wrap Up

Other guys I also liks this week are Alexander Mattison, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette.  With some really bad offenses on the field today, we should see a healthy amount of touchdowns.

Good luck and hope to share the $5k with you!

Tonight’s Thursday night matchup brings us to New Orleans with a matchup between the Saints (5-6) and the Cowboys (7-4).  The Cowboys look to bounce back tonight after 2 losing straight.  For the Saints, they’re handing the offense over to Taysom Hill tonight who makes his first start at QB of the season.  The Saints come into this matchup riding a 4 game losing streak.  Things have not gone well for them since Jameis Winston went down.

More or Less – 3.6x Payout

Dak Prescott – 270.5 Passing Yards – More

Dak Prescott should have one of his top weapons back tonight.  After sitting out the last 2 games, Cooper was activated from the Covid-19 list yesterday.  Prescott now has his full arsenal of weapons healthy. Well as healthy as you can be for the tail end of the football season.  For the first time in several weeks he’ll have Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, and Schultz to throw to.

We’ve seen Prescott shine at times this year and tonight should be one of those times.  He’s hit the 271 yards mark in 4 out of his last 6 weeks.  In what I expect to be a close game tonight, Prescott should be able to focus enough on his passing game to hit his 271 yards.  I’m going with the More side for Prescott.

Taysom Hill – 180.5 Passing Yards – More

The Saints have finally made the switch at QB to Taysom Hill.  With Hill finally healthy enough to play again he’ll have a chance to start at QB for the first time since Week 14 of last season against the Eagles.  Hill started 4 games at QB last season and did fairly well.  In 3 of his 4 starts he easily surpassed tonight’s goal of 181 yards.  He had 233, 232, and 291 yards.

In the one game that he didn’t get to the 181 yards last season, it was more due to game script as the Saints destroyed the Broncos 31-3 in Week 12.  Only once this season have the Cowboys given up less than the 181 yards goal for Hill tonight.  Look for Hill to easily surpass his goal tonight.  I’m going with the More here as well.

Rapid Fire – 3x Payout

Dak Prescott vs. Taysom Hill (+90.5)

I’ve highlighted in the More or Less section that both QB’s should hit their number tonight.  That said, both QB’s have a very different number and skill set.  While Hill has shown some upside with his arm, he also tends to run the ball quite a bit for a QB which somewhat lowers his pass yardage ceiling.  He did pass for 291 yards in one game last season, but that was an outlier.  His ceiling is closer to his other two games where he finished in the low 230 yard range and that’s where I think he ends up tonight.

If we look at Prescott, his ceiling is much higher and he’s facing a Saints secondary that has given up close to 3k passing yards through their first 11 games this season.  This is the type of game that has ceiling written all over it for Prescott.  Even though MKF Is giving 90.5 passing yards to Hill in this one, I like Prescott tonight.  Prescott for the win in this one.

Alvin Kamara vs. Ezekiel Elliot (+11.5)

As of writing this, Kamara is still listed as questionable.  I’m going to write this under the assumption that he’s playing.  In the few games before he was injured Kamara struggled producing on the ground.  In those 3 games he had 51, 61, and 50 rushing yards.

If we look at the Cowboy’s defense, they’ve started to show some cracks against the run.  Over the last 6 weeks they’ve given up over 100 yards rushing 4 times.  Through the first 5 weeks of the year they hadn’t given up more than 74 in any game.  If Kamara proves to be healthy tonight, he’s looking at a solid chance for a rebound game.

Switching gears to Ezekiel Elliot, he gets an extremely tough matchup tonight.  Only Washington and Tampa Bay have given up less rushing yards to running backs this season.  They’ve given up more than 80 rushing yards to running backs just twice this season.

Even if we had a healthy Elliot, I wouldn’t love him here so a banged up Elliot has me ready to gag in this matchup.  Especially knowing that Prescott has all his receiving weapons available to him tonight.  Coming into this matchup, granted he’s been banged up, Elliot has been downright bad on the ground.  He hasn’t surpassed 52 rushing yards since he had 69 yards against the Patriots in week 6.

As it stands right now, I like Kamara to have more pure rushing yards tonight.  Even though Elliot gets the bonus of 11.5 yards tonight, he doesn’t do enough on the ground to get close to Kamara. Kamara for the win!

Good luck tonight and hope you cash!
