Week 8 in the NFL is all about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with high upside. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones took down the Week 3 Sunday Night Showdown in his second tournament takedown in two days!

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here

I want to start off this article by saying you must have the absolute nuts to win the top prize up top on large field GPPs. There is no room for mistakes with so many entries in these contests. If you think you are going to win it all by playing a combo of the top seven guys in the player pool, you are not. If a combo of a bunch of guys you have heard of before is indeed the best scoring lineup, you will most likely tie for first. If that sounds good to you, then go for it. It will be profitable if you nail it, but for me I like to be a little different on these slates. I will be making multiple teams and taking long shots on a few cheap guys.

Leaving cash on the table in these NFL DFS contests is fine too. This makes your lineup even more unique and lower owned because a lot of amateurs will be pulling their hair out to use their entire salary.

That all being said, I have looked at every possible player that can get on the field and listed my picks below.

The NFL DFS Week 8 Thursday Night Showdown Picks

I have won the last two NFL Showdowns by using different combinations of picks out of this article. Let’s make it three in a row!

MVP: Dalvin Cook ($15,500 FD)

Dalvin Cook is the obvious choice. The Vikings will most likely be without Adam Thielen meaning they will need to lean on the run game even more than normal. Cook could be in store for another 25 carry game and get little more involved in the pass game. He feels extraordinarily safe as MVP and you can count on him getting in the end zone at least once.

I also think the Vikings Defense shows up against Washington and it is a good idea to correlate your defense with your running back on DraftKings.

MVP Pivot: Stefon Diggs Thielen is out

NFL DFS Flex Options:

Listed in order of preference, with price factored in.

  1. Stefon Diggs ($14,000 FD) Obvious boost with Thielen out. Should be his most heavily targeted game of the season against a poor RedSkins defense.
  2. Kirk Cousins ($15,000 FD)
  3. Terry McLaurin ($12,000 FD) He has emerged as the top receiving threat for the Redskins.
  4. Paul Richardson ($6,500 FD) I like Richardson for a breakout game tonight. He is still capable of a big game, even though he has not put one together yet. I will have to assume that Washington is going to be throwing more here if they are playing from behind, especially if Peterson sits. I wouldn’t play McLaurin and him on the same team unless I had Case Keenum.
  5. Case Keenum ($13,500 FD) The price feels high, but the Skins are gonna have to throw, especially since Thompson is out and Peterson is banged up
  6. Olabisi Johnson ($10,000 FD) Significantly better with Thielen out. New WR2 in Minnesota.
  7. Dan Baily ($9,500 FD) With Thielen out I can see this offense stalling more in the RedZone and attempting more field goals.
  8. Wendall Smallwood ($5,000 FD) Chris Thompson is out, and Adrian Peterson has two ankle sprains.. Way too cheap,
  9. Jeremy Sprinkle ($6,000 FD) I like the price a lot for the now starting tight end on Washington. He is on the field a lot with Davis out.
  10. Irv Smith Jr ($7,500 FD) I was high on Irv at the beginning of the season and he is finally getting some run. The Vikings starting running two TE sets when Thielen went down last week.
  11. Dustin Hopkins ($9,000 FD) Skins kicker
  12. Laqoun Treadwell ($5,000 FD) WR punt play for the Vikings with Thielen out

I did my research on FanDuel today. I like the Vikings Defense a lot of DraftKings.

Punts:

  1. Kyle Rudolph ($8,500 FD) His corpse caught a touchdown last week. Maybe he does it again, maybe he doesn’t.. He is a punt in my book
  2. Trey Quinn ($7,000 FD) Redskins WR3
  3. Alexander Mattison ($8,000 FD) Price is higher than I would like. He should get a handful of carries and perhaps the opportunity to vulture a TD. If the Vikings get up big he may get some garbage time run. Adrian Peterson ($10,500 FD) He is injured but is going to try and tough it out. I won’t have much of him at all

Click here to play the Thursday MonkeyKnifeFight.com Pick. Play this pick and get 100 percent bonus!

1. Kirk Cousins will not be throwing as much which leaves the door open for Case Keenum to keep it within 85 yards (that’s a lot). Keenum should also be throwing more if they are trailing.

2. Diggs will get a big boost if Thielen is out and the Vikings defensive backs should be more focused on McLaurin than any of the other receiving options.

3. Adrian Peterson is dealing with a high ankle sprain and I think Cook goes for over 100 yards here.

NFL Week 7 — with the exception of tonight’s Patriots-Jets matchup — is in the books. Let’s look at the biggest takeaways from all of Sunday’s action as we analyze 12 major takeaways from the games played. We’ll also look ahead to Week 8 and see what edges we can get for the upcoming main slate. The prices discussed are for DraftKings.

1) Aaron Rodgers

Have a day! On Sunday, he connected on 25 of 31 passes for 429 yards and five touchdowns and added a rushing score. If you won a GPP this week it was probably on the back of Rodgers, who scored 46.76 points. He was at 1.6 percent ownership in the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT GPP contest. Most were off Rodgers because of all the injuries to his receivers, but the matchup was good versus the Raiders, so he should have been higher owned at just $6,400. With quarterbacks, always note that you should never 100 percent fade the great matchups even if the quarterback lacks weapons, especially if the defense they are facing can’t rush the passer.

2) Dalvin Cook

Cook smashed in NFL Week 7, rushing 25 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns. His productive game was not a surprise to most as Cook was heavily owned in DraftKings. Cook was owned in 36.9 percent of the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP and 26.7 percent in the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT contest. Even at $8,000, he was a great play. For Week 8 Cook is off the main slate as the Vikings take on the Redskins in a revenge game for Kirk Cousins on Thursday night.

3) Leonard Fournette

Fournette saw the highest cash game ownership of any one player that I have seen all season. In the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP he was owned in 88.7 percent of lineups. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT he was owned in 57.5 percent of all lineups. At $7,000, he was one of the best values on the slate by delivering 19.5 Fantasy points. The folks at DraftKings have finally addressed his usage, however. with his price going up to $7,800 for Week 8 when the Jaguars play the Jets at home.

4) Josh Jacobs

At $5,000, Jacobs was one of the cheapest running backs in play on the slate. He was very popular in GPPs, garnering 30.6 percent ownership in the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT contest. He saw even higher ownership in the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP contest with 37 percent. But he delivered on it, rushing for 124 yards on 21 carries while adding three receptions. Above all, seeing his involvement in the passing game is very inspiring for him going forward. In Week 8, his salary is $5,800. That will put him back on the radar on the road versus the Texans.

5) Darren Waller

The top tight end play on the week, Waller absolutely balled out. He caught seven of eight targets for 126 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday’s 42-24 loss to Green Bay. Waller was an extreme candidate for touchdown regression, and that showed up big on Sunday. He was at $4,700 and had decent ownership in both GPPs and cash games. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT he was at 11.4 percent. In the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP he was at 11.2 percent. For Week 8 he is the second-most expensive tight end on the slate at $5,900, only behind George Kittle at $6,500. He and the Raiders draw the Texans on Sunday.

6) T.Y. Hilton

We all knew the Hilton splits against the Texans going in. Once again, he delivered. Hilton caught six of 11 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 30-23 win over the Texans. Hilton was stone-cold chalk in DFS at wide receiver in NFL Week 7. In the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP he was owned in a whopping 73.1 percent of lineups. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT he was owned in 39 percent of lineups. The Colts play host to the Broncos in Week 8 with Hilton priced at $6,100. That could be tough for Hilton but could help fellow receiver Zach Pascal, who will probably not see coverage from Chris Harris. Pascal is coming off a 31.6 Fantasy point performance and is at $4,300 in Week 8.

7) Marvin Jones Jr.

The WR2s on teams are always the ones that blow up in winning GPP lineups. In Week 7 that WR2 was Marvin Jones, who caught 10 of 13 targets for 93 yards and four touchdowns during Sunday’s 42-30 loss to the Vikings. He scored 43.3 fantasy points but was owned in just 1.7 percent of lineups in the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT GPP contest. Looking ahead, the Lions will face the Giants in Week 8, which is a great matchup for the entire Detroit passing attack. Jones will surely garner ownership at $5,800 and Kenny Golladay (at $6,400) will definitely bounce back after a total dud in Week 7.

8) Latavius Murray

With no Alvin Kamara, Murray was the bell cow back and destroyed the Chicago defense that played without Akiem Hicks. At $5,100, he carried 27 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught five of six targets for 31 yards. In the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP he was at 15.2 percent ownership and in the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT he was at 9.5 percent ownership. In Week 8 he will be on the roster radar if Kamara is out again. He is only $5,800 and faces the Cardinals. His heavy involvement in both the passing and running game makes him an extremely enticing cash play for Week 8

9) Chase Edmonds

If only we knew that David Johnson was going to be used sparingly as reported post-game. If that information was known prior to kickoff, Edmonds would have been in an absolute smash spot at $4,700 as the primary back versus the Giants. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT GPP contest he was owned in just 1.7 percent of lineups. As a result, DraftKings is ready for Johnson to be limited in Week 8 as Edmonds’ salary has inflated to $6,200 versus the Saints. Johnson is at $6,400.

10) Hunter Henry

Henry was a highly-owned tight end that was one of the few that did not bust in Week 7. He scored 15.7 Fantasy points and had 97 receiving yards on six receptions. His value was excellent at just $4,000. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT contest he was owned in 22.3 percent of lineups and a whopping 35.2 percent of lineups in the NFL MASSIVE $50 DOUBLE UP. In Week 8 his price has increased to $4,900 when the Chargers take on the Bears at Soldier Field.

11) John Brown

Brown secured five of six targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Bills’ 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He was in a great spot in Week 7 against the porous Dolphins secondary. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT contest Brown was owned in 17.4 percent of lineups so he was pretty chalky. Expect to see more of the same from that in Week 8 when Brown takes on the Eagles. His salary is at $5,900 and with such a great matchup he cannot be ignored. Additionally, Brown has a floor, making him cash viable with him having at least five targets in every game. He has also not scored less than 9.5 Fantasy points yet this season.

12) DeAndre Hopkins

Though I never recommend to pay up at receiver, Hopkins was finally able to break out in Week 7. At $7,800 Hopkins scored 28.6 Fantasy points, but one could argue that the departure of Will Fuller helped Hopkins get more targets in this contest. In the NFL $100K ENGAGE EIGHT contest Hopkins was owned in 10.5 percent of lineups. For Week 8, I will not be playing Hopkins because he’s going to be extremely chalky at $8,100. I would much rather play Kenny Stills at $4,700 who, after the departure of Fuller, accumulated 105 receiving yards. The Texans play the Raiders at home in Week 8.

That all being said, I have looked at every possible player that can get on the field and listed my picks below.

The NFL DFS Week 7 Sunday Night Showdown Picks

MVP: Michael Gallup ($12,000 FD)

The Eagles are terrible covering receivers and Amari Cooper might be a little less than 100%. Gallup is the least expensive Cowboy I like at MVP which gives you a little more salary to work with in your flex positions. The Eagles have given up the fourth most touchdowns through the air in the NFL this year. They are who I will be targeting in this game.

I think the Cowboys offense is going to be concentrated on getting the ball to three guys (Gallup, Cooper, Zeke). The Eagles have more options and the ball should be spread out more meaning it is less likely for one of them to get as much opportunity as the Cowboys offensive core. I will have at least three of the four (Dak included) Cowboys in all of my lineups. If you pick both receivers, you definitely want Dak with them.

Pivots: Cooper, Dak, Zeke (in that order)

NFL DFS Flex Options:

Listed in order of preference with prices factored it

  1. Cooper ($13,500 FD) I will have some with Gallup, but mostly just picking one wide receiver
  2. Dak ($15,500 FD) – Attacking Eagles pass D
  3. Zeke ($14,500 FD)
  4. Alshon Jeffrey ($13,00 FD) I like Jeffrey in primetime games. He is there best receiver and will get first look
  5. Carson Wentz ($15,000 FD)
  6. Zach Ertz ($11,000 FD) I like the price for Ertz. If it isn’t him, it should be Jeffrey
  7. Jordan Howard ($10,000 FD) I still think he is the lead back over Sanders
  8. Miles Sander ($9,500 FD) As a pivot off of Howard, I do not want them both on the same team.
  9. Nelson Agholor ($8,000 FD) He was on the trade block this week. Maybe a little more motivation to show him off? Or he wants to prove his team wrong? Sometimes he shows up, sometimes he doesn’t. I’ll take a shot at 8K.
  10. Jason Witten ($8,500 FD) He is reliable. He isn’t getting 100 yards but he will get a handful of targets, including the RedZone.
  11. Brett Maher ($9,000 FD) Cowboys Kicker
  12. Jake Elliot ($9,500 FD) Feels expensive for Kicker

Punts:

  1. Tavon Austin ($8,000 FD) Price feels too high, but he will have some plays designed for him
  2. Dallas Goedert ($7,000 FD) Eagles TE 2
  3. Blake Jarwin ($6, 000 FD) I like the price not he Cowboys TE2

ON DK you can always try your luck with a Defense. I like Cowboys D more tonight, but not very high on either. Still, I will take a few shots on them.

I think the Cowboys win this game through the air. I really like Dak over 289.5 passing yards. Carson Wentz is a tougher call however I believe he will be throwing a lot in the fourth quarter and just get over the 270.5 mark.

NFL Week Seven – Quarterbacks to Start

Daniel Jones – New York Giants Daniel Jones has come back to earth after a couple of tough matchups. However, this week I am back on the wagon and one would assume getting Saquon Barkley back won’t hurt the offense either. If Jones was dropped in your league and you need a quarterback this week, scoop him up.

Gardner Minshew – Jacksonville Jaguars- As noted with Daniel Jones above, every rookie is entitled to a bad week or two. Originally, I considered listing Kirk Cousins here but after a couple of strong weeks he might be too obvious. The NFL’s “Uncle Rico” finds himself in a terrific spot versus a porous Bengals secondary.

NFL Week Seven – Quarterback to Sit

Phillip Rivers – Los Angeles Chargers – The Chargers rocked the books in Vegas last week, going down despite being the slate’s third biggest favorite. It doesn’t get any easier for Phillip Rivers and company this week as they travel to Tennessee. For the Titans, it certainly isn’t their defense that has been the problem.

NFL Week Seven – Running Backs to Start

Carlos Hyde – Houston Texans – Given the Jets renewed state and underrated run defense, Sony Michel is a trap. If I expect the Texans to roll versus the Colts, why wouldn’t I expect last week’s magic to continue?

James White – New England Patriots – New England Patriot running backs make me sick to my stomach. Nevertheless, as the Jets can plug the gap well enough this is a James White game. If you need to fill a running back slot or flex spot you can do a lot worse this week.

Devin Singletary – Buffalo Bills – Thankfully, I was able to scoop him up off waivers while he was injured. Devin Singletary gets to come back from injury with quite a chance to show off versus the inept Dolphins.

NFL Week Seven – Running Backs to Sit

Marlon Mack – Indianapolis Colts – Marlon Mack is just not a very appetizing play in Week Seven. For starters, he is highly game script dependent due to his lack of receiving work. That will not play out well in a game in which I would expect Indianapolis to be down early. The Texans will likely game plan to control the run and short passes and put the game in the hands of Jacoby Brissett, forcing him into deeper throws than he might like.

Joe Mixon Cincinnati Bengals – It’s time to acknowledge this was a really bad draft pick. The Bungles offense is dysfunctional and simply hard to count on for production. I would starts guys like Mark Ingram, and Josh Jacobs, all drafted well below Joe Mixon a month and a half ago.

NFL Week Seven – Wide Receivers to Start

Michael Gallup – Dallas Cowboys – Regardless of Amari Cooper’s status, Michael Gallup is a terrific play. The Eagles allowed Stefon Diggs to finally break loose last week and now it’s Gallup’s turn.

Stefon Diggs – Minnesota Vikings- Last week might have ignited a return to form so if you were previously benching him, it’s time to reconsider that stance.

NFL Week Seven – Wide Receivers to Sit

Allen Robinson – Chicago Bears- Allen Robinson is an every week 10-12 team league starter. However, I would avoid coverage from Marshon Lattimore at all costs.

Marques Valdez-Scandling – Green Bay Packers- One would think that with all of the added opportunity and Aaron Rodgers throwing to him that MVS would be eating week in and week out, right? It is wise to just continue to avoid him if he plays as he has shown little signs of breaking out.

Upgrade now!

NFL Week Seven – Tight End to Start

Hunter Henry – Los Angeles Chargers- One of my biggest priorities was grabbing him off of any waivers last week. If Hunter Henry is still available in one of your shallower leagues and you need help at tight end, there should be little hesitation. Henry played far more than expected Sunday Night and should be back to a near full role in a game where I’d expect plenty of check down passes to him and Austin Ekeler.

NFL Week Seven – Tight End to Sit

T.J. Hockenson – Detroit Lions- It will be a struggle for the Lions to keep up with the Vikings so I would avoid their skill players this week if at all possible.

NFL Week Seven – Defense to Start

Kansas City Chiefs – If looking outside of the Top 15 defenses or so perhaps due to availability, the Chiefs are the next I would look at. It is a road trip to Mile High, but Joe Flacco is washed up and the Broncos offense has a lot of question marks.

NFL Week Seven – Defense to Sit

Philadelphia Eagles – As surprising as it is, I see them fairly high up most ranks, at least falling in the Top 12 on most sites. This doesn’t strike me as a strong play on the road versus a Cowboys team that should score some points.

Week 7 in the NFL is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here!

David also won back-to-back GPPs!

There will be updates closer to lock. Check back Sunday morning.

Quarterbacks:

Stud Quarterback: Josh Allen ($7,700 FD; $6,500 DK)

One of my favorite quarterbacks just got the week off to prepare for the dreadful Dolphins at home. Perhaps the Dolphins’ best chance to win a game this season came and went last week when the Redskins visited Miami after the Dolphins had a bye week. I love what the Bills are doing this year and there is no way they lose this game. Allen is a dual-threat QB who threw for a combined 455 yards and five touchdowns while running for a combined 230 yards and two touchdowns in two games against the Dolphins last season. If he can get close to his average against a team that is worse than they were last year, we are all in for a big day. Miami allows 9.7 yards to opposing receivers (dead last in the NFL) and they are right there with the Bengals for worst defense against the rush. In short, Allen will be in my main NFL DFS lineup this Sunday.

Stud Quarterback: Jared Goff ($7,800 FD; $6,200 DK)

I love him this week. He goes up agains the Falcons, who are just terrible covering the pass. Goff has plenty of options to throw to and they come to Atlanta with a questionable running back situation. Over the last three weeks, the quarterback facing the Falcons has won the milli-maker (twice on DraftKings, once on FanDuel). Goff bounces back in a big way in Atlanta.

QB Pivots: Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson

Note: I am really very high on the two guys listed above (Allen, Goff) but I will list a couple high risk punts for you below.

Update: Gardner Minshew, Andy Dalton, Jacoby Brissett

Update: Daniel Jones (coming off him, looks like rain in NY)

Running Backs

Stud RB: Leonard Fournette ($7,900 FD, $7,000 DK)

The Bengals have given up over 200 more yards than any other team on the ground this year (it should be noted the Dolphins have had a bye week). They have allowed a league-high nine rushing touchdowns. Fournette has been coming on strong the last few weeks. He has gotten over 20 carries in each game the last three weeks and he is more involved in the passing attack. We love three-down backs, remember? In Fournette’s last three games, he has exactly 500 all-purpose yards. This has also been against formidable defenses in the Saints, Panthers and Broncos (to a lesser extent). He should be in for another 25 touches on Sunday and is an easy pick for my top NFL DFS RB of the week.

Stud Pivots: Saquan Barkley (like him more if it is raining in NY), Dalvin Cook

Mid RB: Josh Jacobs ($6,700 FD; $5,000 DK)

He just seems too cheap for a guy that is not splitting carries and coming off a bye week. He will also contribute a bit in the passing game, especially if Ty Williams is out. The Raiders should realize that you want to keep Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense off the field, so running the ball is a good way to do that. The Packers are allowing 4.9 yards per carry and have given up seven rushing touchdowns in six games. I can see Jacobs touching the ball here about 20 times and paying off that low NFL DFS salary. I will admit I am not 100% sold on Jacobs this week but he looks like the best of the bunch. I never love starting a guy from the West Coast on a 1PM ET game time, but this week I am willing to make an exception. Update: Ty Williams is out, making me like Jacobs even more.

Mid Pivots: Chris Carson, Marlon Mack. Derrick Henry

RB Punts: Frank Gore, Chase Edmonds (if David Johnson sits), Lat Murray is now in play with Kamara being ruled out. Tough matchup, but cheap price and will get RB1 workload. I will have a few shares but he won’t be near my main lineup.

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Cooper Kupp ($7,800 FD; $7,400 DK)

The Falcons are getting roasted by everyone and stacking against them is making money for a host of people. I am not going to try to fix what isn’t broke. Kupp is my (and Goff’s) favorite receiver. Last week his targets were down (six) but prior to that he got 17, 15 and 12 targets and scored over 20 FanDuel points in every game. If he does not get over 10 targets and a touchdown, I will be shocked. There is no way this guy puts up a dud performance. Rams HC Sean McVay is the kind of coach that attacks what works, and against the Falcons, that’s throwing the ball. Goff is going to bounce back from a bad performance against one of the league’s best defenses (49ers) and throw for over 300 yards. Kupp should be the wide receiver that benefits the most.

Note: If you decide to fade Kupp ( I wouldn’t) you should put another Rams WR on your team.

Stud Pivots: T.Y Hilton, Keenan Allen, Robert Woods

Mid WR: John Brown ($5,900 FD; $5,500 DK)

A speedy wide receiver against the Dolphins that fits perfectly with my top quarterback? Yes, please! Brown has been a fantastic addition to the Bills, as he has become more reliable in his featured role. He has only scored once this year, but there is not a better spot for a get-right game than against the Dolphins. Take into account they have had two weeks off to game plan and the matchup gets even juicier for the Bills and Brown.

Update: Mid WR Pivots: D.J. Chark (like more than John Brown now), Brandin Cooks

Value WR: Tyler Boyd ($5,600 FD; $5,600 DK)

What do we do when there is blood on the streets? We clean it up! This is of course in reference to the stinker that Boyd put up last week against the Ravens, but hey I called it. You only play Boyd at home. It is very simple. Seven of his eight touchdowns in 2018 came at home. This year at home, he has over 10 receptions in both games along with a touchdown. Boyd has put up at least 17 FanDuel points at home. Love him as a cheap NFL DFS play this week.

Update: WR Value Pivots: Calvin Ridley, Auden Tate, Larry Fitzgerald

Update: DraftKings Milli-Maker Darts: Allen Lazard, Darius Slayton (if not raining), Zay Jones

Tight End

Tight End: Evan Engram ($6,800 FD; $6,500 DK)

The Giants confirmed on Friday that Engram will return to the starting lineup. We profit off the Cardinals every week and we are going to do it again Sunday. I am locking him in as my top NFL DFS tight end.

Tight End Pivots: Mark Andrews, Darren Waller, Hunter Henry

Defense

  1. Bills
  2. 49ers
  3. Bears
  4. Packers

I listed four defenses but I am very, very high on the Bills and 49ers.

David Jones took down the Week 3 Sunday Night Showdown in his second tournament takedown in two days!

The NFL DFS Week 7 Thursday Night Showdown Picks

MVP: Courtland Sutton ($12,000 FD)

MVP is difficult tonight. The Broncos have only given up four passing touchdowns this season and are holding opponents to 207 yards per game. I know Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs can put up big numbers on anyone but I think I want to get different at MVP tonight and pick a Bronco.

Courtland Sutton is the team’s top wide receiver. On the Broncos I am not seeing a lot of offensive options. That is going to mean the offense will run through just a few guys, as opposed to the Chiefs, who have plenty of wide receivers and running backs to mix in.

Sutton should be targeted up and down the field and in the red zone. I am willing to take a shot.

MVP Pivot: Phillip Lindsay – He will be another huge part of the Broncos offense. We just need them to stay in the game. The only team who has given up more rushing touchdowns than the Chiefs is the Cincinnati Bengals.

NFL DFS Flex Options:

Listed in order of preference, with price factored in.

  1. Patrick Mahomes (not gonna fight it if you want to play him at MVP)
  2. Tyreek Hill
  3. Travis Kelce
  4. Emmanuel Sanders
  5. Harrison Butker
  6. Demarcus Robinson
  7. Mecole Hardman
  8. LeSean McCoy
  9. Damien Williams (wouldn’t play with McCoy)
  10. Brandon McManus
  11. Noah Fant
  12. Joe Flacco

Punts:

  1. Royce Freeman
  2. DeaSean Hamilton
  3. Byron Pringle
  4. Darrell Williams

Everyone is listed in order of preference

That all being said, I have looked at every possible player that can get on the field and listed my picks below.

The NFL DFS Week 6 Sunday Night Showdown Picks

MVP: Keenan Allen ($14,00 FD): Should be an absolute target hog tonight against the Steelers.

MVP Pivot: Mike Williams ($10,500 FD): I like attacking the Steelers though the air tonight. Especially since the RB’s are splitting time.

MVP Pivot 2: Austin Ekeler ($14,000 FD): If he isn’t being used to rush he will be a large part of the passing game.

NFL DFS Flex Options:

Listed in order of preference with prices factored it

  1. Philip Rivers ($15,000 FD) I think Chargers win this game and it is easier to throw on the Steelers than run.
  2. Melvin Gordon ($12,000 FD) Should lead backs today for Chargers. His workload will be ramped up from last week. Expecting a TD.
  3. Chase McLaughlin ($9,000 FD) Chargers’ Kicker
  4. James Conor ($12,500 FD) Steelers should focus on running and check downs with their third string QB if they want any chance to win
  5. Mike Williams ($10,500 FD) Sneaky WR two on the Chargers, if Allen is getting double covered, it should go to Williams or Ekeler
  6. Austin Ekeler ($14,000 FD) Big threat in receiving game, will also get his share of running attempts
  7. JuJu Smith-Schuster ($13,500 FD) Pitt is going to have to throw it if this game plays out the way I think. Although he has been disappointing, he is still the WR1 for the Steelers
  8. Vance McDonald ($8,000 FD) Expecting check downs from Devlin Hodgers. Should see around 6-7 targets
  9. Hunter Henry ($7,000 FD) First game back from injury, talented TE but I dont think the Chargers lean on him too much tonight in an game they should win
  10. Diontae Johnson ($7,500 FD) Seems to be the next best passing option for the Steelers, who should be trailing
  11. Devlin Hodges ($12,500 FD) Pitt QB, boom or bust

On DraftKings I love the Chargers Defense

Punt:

  1. Nick Vannett – Steelers TE2. I think this week you can play both tight ends on Pitt because of how much they are going to have to throw
  2. Ryan Switzer – Steelers WR that will be asked to do more than normal with such a beat up team.
  3. Donte Moncrief – With injuries to Samuels and Washington, Moncrief is going to have to attempt to contribute
  4. Johnny Holton – Total Dart throw on a Pitt WR.
