Welcome Back, Everyone! Tonight’s main slate on DraftKings has a total of 7 games and the first three tip-offs at 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time. There are several games tonight with implied overs of 225 points or higher. With that being that case, start your lineup build by targeting some key guys from those games. I will be in the NBA Discord chat-room throughout the day so just ‘@’ me if you have questions! Good Luck tonight!

-NBA Schedule-

MIN @ IND – At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
WAS @ TOR – At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
CHI @ PHI – At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
MIA @ OKC – At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
CLE @ MEM – At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
ATL @ SA – At 8:30 P.M. Eastern Time
POR @ DAL – At 9:30 P.M. Eastern Time

TOP PG Picks:

Luka Doncic – DK: ($12,400)

The PG position is tough tonight and if you buy down and ignore the studs; it very well could burn you. Doncic has recorded 46 or more fantasy points in eight of his last nine games. That span includes four games in which Doncic recorded at least 62 fantasy points on DraftKings. Tonight he is taking on Portland who has an abysmal back-court defense that is ranked 26th in the NBA. On top of that, this is the second time these teams will meet this season and in the first bout; Doncic put up 64 points on DraftKings.

Trae Young – DK: ($10,200)

Trae Young is another PG that has a great match-up tonight against San Antonio who is ranked 24th in the NBA against opposing PG’s. Young already torched the Spurs once this season as he put up 57.5 fantasy points against them. He’s also put up at least 50 points on DraftKings in five out of his last six games. The Spurs allow 114 points per game on the season which places them 27th in the NBA. Look for Young to have a high floor tonight around 50 fantasy points with the potential of hitting a ceiling game.

Jarrett Culver – DK: ($5,900)

Culver is a solid value play tonight as Minnesota gets ready to take on Indiana for the second time this season. Minnesota just parted ways with Jeff Teague which should allow more opportunity for Culver. As long as Karl Anthony Towns remains sidelined, Culver is going to get my attention. He’s put up at least 30 fantasy points on DraftKings in six of his last ten games. On top of that, Culver just dropped 30 fantasy points on Indiana two nights ago. Look for him to have a floor of 25 fantasy points tonight.

Darius Garland – DK: ($5,100)

Garland has been HOT for Cleveland as he’s now recorded at least 27 points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. He’s also hit at least two 3-points in each of his last ten outings. The promising sign here is the fact that Garland is getting minutes regardless of how close the game is. Tonight he will take on Memphis. The Grizzlies do not have a good defense as evidenced by their 115 points allowed per game. I am willing to give Garland a look tonight as his price is just $5,100. This play will allow you to buy up in other areas.

Top SG Picks:

DeMar DeRozan – DK: ($8,100)

DeRozan has now recorded at least 44 fantasy points on DraftKings in each of his last four outings. It appears that DeRozan is officially settled in and he can be relied on once again. Tonight he is taking on Atlanta and they are ranked 29th in the NBA against opposing SG’s. DeRozan played Atlanta once this season and in that game, he racked up 41.5 fantasy points on DK. He offers a pretty high ceiling tonight and his price is very reasonable. Look for a floor of 38 fantasy points.

CJ McCollum – DK: ($6,800)

McCollum is a great option at the SG position tonight as he is priced below the $7,000 threshold. He’s racked up at least 36 points on DraftKings in six of his last ten games. Tonight he has a tougher match-up against Dallas. However, McCollum already torched Dallas once this year with a whopping 52 point outing on DraftKings. Look for him to have a floor of 34 fantasy points tonight.

Kevin Huerter – DK: ($6,700)

Huerter popped off against Phoenix three nights ago where he went for 23 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, and 1 steal in 38 minutes of action. The best part about this performance was the fact Trae Young played the same amount of minutes. Ultimately showing us that Huerter is capable of having these ceiling games even with the ball-dominant Trae Young on the floor. Huerter has also recorded at least 38 fantasy points in five of his last 8 games. Tonight he’ll take on San Antonio and he should have a floor of 30 fantasy points.

Dillon Brooks – DK: ($5,800)

I had Brooks in my last article to bounce back after his 9 point clunker from two games ago. It worked out very nicely as he walked away from the Houston game with 42 fantasy points on DraftKings. Tonight he will be taking on Cleveland for the second time this season. In the first match-up, Brooks racked up 38 fantasy points in 32 minutes of action. A crazy stat from him is that he’s hit at least five 3-pointers in four of his last six games. Look for him to exploit Cleveland’s defense as they’re 24th in the NBA against opposing SG’s.

TOP SF Picks:

Ben Simmons – DK: ($9,300)

Without Embiid in the lineup, Simmons is going to continue to produce at a higher level. In fact, he has now put up at least 41 points on DraftKings in seven of his last ten games. The important reason for taking Simmons is due to his uptick shot attempts. It’s no secret that Simmons can rack up rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. However, he hasn’t been as aggressive this season when it comes to scoring. He’s now scored at least 17 points in six of his last seven games. While Embbid is out, a triple-double performance is not out of the question for him.

Tobias Harris – DK: ($8,300)

Harris has recorded at least 32 points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. Similar to the Simmons situation, Harris will continue to see an uptick in shots and rebounds while Embiid is out. Harris has now recorded a double-double in three straight games. Tonight he will take on Chicago who is ranked 22nd in the NBA against opposing SF’s. The Bulls certainly don’t have anyone defensively that can silence Harris. Look for him to have a floor of 34 fantasy points tonight.

Carmelo Anthony – DK: ($6,200)

Melo has put up at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last eight games for Portland. Tonight he gets a match-up against Dallas that looks very tough on paper. However, the Mavericks are ranked 30th in the NBA this season against opposing SF’s. If he can put up 30+ fantasy points tonight then he’ll be considered a SMASH when considering the price-point. Look for a floor of 28 fantasy points tonight.

Robert Covington – DK: ($5,700)

Covington is great consistency play for tonight; so long as Karl Anthony Towns doesn’t make his return. In each of his last ten games, Covington has been able to hit at least 29 fantasy points. Tonight he will take on Indiana for the second time this season. In the first match-up against them, Covington racked up 29.3 fantasy points in 30 minutes of action. Look for him to have a floor of 30 fantasy points tonight.

Top PF Picks:

Domantas Sabonis – DK: ($8,600)

Sabonis has recorded at least 43 fantasy points on DraftKings in seven of his last eight games. On top of that, he is taking on Minnesota tonight who has been struggling to win games without Karl Anthony Towns. Sabonis played Minnesota once this season already and in that game, he racked up a whopping 58.3 fantasy points in 35 minutes of action. He is one of the better rebounders in the NBA as evidenced by his average of 13.2 RPG. Look for him to have his way in this one with a floor of 40 fantasy points.

Al Horford – DK: ($7,500)

Horford has been playing at a much higher level while Embiid has been sitting out with an injury. He’s racked up at least 33 points on DraftKings in each of his last four appearances. Tonight he will take on Chicago who is ranked 28th in the NBA against opposing PF’s. This is the type of game where I expect to see Horford fill up the stat sheet on both ends of the floor. Look for him to have a floor of 32 fantasy points tonight.

Kevin Love – DK: ($7,200)

Kevin Love has a great match-up tonight against Memphis. The Grizzlies are currently allowing the fourth-most points per game in the NBA to opponents this season. This match-up comes at a good time when considering Love has put up at least 31 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games. Earlier in the season, Love played Memphis and came away from that game with 41.8 fantasy points on DK. Look for him to have a floor of 37 fantasy points tonight.

Davis Bertans – DK: ($5,300)

I am going to take another shot at Bertans on tonight’s slate. At the end of the day, He has recorded at least 25 points on DraftKings in nine of his last ten games for Washington. The Wizards are still dealing with injuries and maybe that’s why they eased Bertans back into action. Nevertheless, his floor is over 25 points tonight and his price is just $5,300. Look for him to have a floor of 25 with a ceiling in the upper 40’s.

Top C Picks:

Bam Adebayo – DK: ($8,200)

Bam had a solid outing two nights ago against San Antonio where he racked up 14 points, 13 rebounds 7 assists, and 2 blocks in 36 minutes of action. Tonight brings him a very exploitable match-up against the Thunder who are ranked 26th in the entire NBA against opposing C’s. Adebayo is the type of player that fills the stat-sheet each night. I mean, he’s averaging 15.8 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 4.6 APG, 1.2 BPG, and 1.3 SPG. I expect him to be very busy in this game tonight and he should have a floor of 36 fantasy points.

Jonas Valanciunas – DK: ($6,900)

Valanciunas is the type of DFS play that you either love or hate. The reason I say ‘Hate’ is because even when he gets you 35 fantasy points; it’s still not that satisfying when taking into account his minutes. If he was averaging something like 33 minutes per game; he’d be one of the best centers in the league from a statistical stand-point. For example; Tristan Thompson averages 31 minutes per game and that translates to 32.3 fantasy points per game for him. Valanciunas only averages 25 minutes per game on the season, yet he’s scoring 33.2 fantasy point per game. Nevertheless, Valanciunas is going up against Cleveland tonight and they are ranked 27th in the NBA against opposing C’s. Going off that, Valanciunas put up 43.5 fantasy points against the Cavaliers earlier this year.

Marc Gasol – DK: ($4,800)

Gasol is a sneaky DFS option at the C position tonight. Rostering him provides you with some much-needed salary relief as his price is just $4,800. He just made his first return after missing several weeks with an injury but didn’t see a minute restriction. In his return, Gasol racked up 33 fantasy points in 32 minutes of action. Tonight he will get another solid match-up against Washington who is ranked 25th in the NBA against opposing C’s. Look for him to have a floor of 26 fantasy points tonight.

Isaiah’s Protocol for the NBA DFS slate is built around DraftKings pricing but is good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a loaded 10 game NBA DFS slate to look at tonight, with several strategies to consider for your roster construction. With ample superstars available, a “stars and scrubs” approach is certainly in play. However, on larger slates, I tend to lean more towards a balanced approach. This allows me to focus on building my bankroll with cash games while taking a few shots at small field, single entry, GPP tournaments. With so many players to choose from, there’s an argument to be made for both strategies as ownership will be down across the board. Be sure you check in with some of the WinDaily staff in the Discord chat rooms throughout the day, to stay up to date on late-breaking news.

Studs

James Harden ($12400) On a large NBA DFS slate, at this salary, I expect Harden’s ownership to be diminished. A disappointing night last night, in combination with Westbrooks’s return, should make Harden a low owned commodity. He leads the NBA in scoring and has the ability to put up monster games with or without Russell.

Lebron James ($10400) James carries a 31.6% usage rate, a 50.1% assist rate, and a 12.3% rebound rate on the season. Anthony Davis isn’t expected to return tonight. He has stated that he’s still in pain after movement drills, and has yet to attempt any sprinting or contact exercises. Rajon Rondo is also out. Without these two guys off the court, LBJ gets huge spikes in all his stats leading to 1.71 FP/min. Orlando plays at one of the slowest paces in the league, and the Lakers are favored by 9.5.

Luka Doncic ($12100) On the second half of a B2B, against a Sacramento team, that (contrary to their 22nd DEFF, and 28th DvsA) defends the guard position well in my opinion; It’s a fade for me at this salary.

As I stated in the introduction, Idon’t think I’m going here. However, these guys should represent the best playson the NBA DFS slate tonight.

THE CORE

Jimmy Butler ($8600) Jimmy has a 25.5% usage rate and 1.23 FP/min. The Spurs rank 25th in DEFF and 26th in DvsA

Bradley Beal (8400) Beal has a 33.8% usage rate and 1.27 FP/min.

Kyrie Irving ($7900) Kyrie has a 35.3% usage rate and 1.48 FP/min. He has a tougher match up vs. Ben Simmons but is priced way too cheap for his expected production

Pascal Siakam ($7800) Pascal carries a 28.8% usage rate and 1.20 FP/min. OKC ranks 29th in DEFF. His minutes are back to normal after an injury stint, and he is also priced too cheap.

Malcolm Brogdon ($6700) Brogdon has a 27.5% usage rate and 1.18 FP/min. Minnesota ranks 28th in DvsA. Most important here is that Sabonis just hasn’t looked right since dealing with a lingering knee issue. Malcolm could be asked to carry the load on this NBA DFS slate.

Jaylen Brown ($6500) Brown has a 23.6% usage rate and 1.04 FP/min. Detroit ranks 26th in DEFF. Tatum is probable but also dealing with knee soreness. This is a nice spot, and price for Jaylen tonight.

Don’t overthink this too much. All these guys have high ceilings, low floors, get decent FP/min., have great usage rates, and the opportunity is there tonight.  They are all underpriced in my opinion.

The Blazers/Rockets game currently has the highest projected implied team total. I will certainly be looking to get pieces there. Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Clint Capela are all on my radar as well.

VALUE

We’re going to need some value on this NBA DFS slate to get the stars we want. Denver is where we’re going to find it. As always, it’s a little too early to be making decisions on value pieces, but Murray (back) and Harris (groin) are both questionable, and Millsap (knee) is out. The Nuggets recalled PJ Dozier from the G League on Tuesday leading me to believe that some of these guys are going to sit tonight.

Jerami Grant ($5000) He’s already been starting and averaging 31 mins/gm over the last 3. Charlotte ranks 28th in DEFF, and Grant can stuff the stat sheet with this kind of opportunity.

Monte Morris ($3600) I don’t really like targeting guards vs. the Hornets, but his price will be hard to ignore if both Murray and Harris miss the game on this NBA DFS slate.

Michael Porter Jr. ($3700) He’s let us down before, but the opportunity may be there, and this kid has the ability and athleticism to be a nice sleeper tonight.

I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Thank you for reading my content and feel free to leave a comment, or hit me up on Twitter @IsaiahsProtocol.

This article discusses a core for DFS players to build around for today’s FanDuel NBA slate. While there are many different sports and various contests pertaining to DFS along with their respective strategies, we focus on the main approaches to build both reliable cash and GPP lineups for a successful NBA night including pace, the projected over/under, one on one matchups, and a team’s defensive rating. Make sure to stay active when building NBA lineups – if you cannot be in front of a computer, tablet, or on your phone an hour before lock do not throw your money away! NBA DFS lineups can change at the blink of an eye and is the most variable compared to any other sport in DFS; players get injured, some sit for load management, and others find themselves on the DNP list for other reasons; any of which can sway your lineup and where to find value. Stay alert on the WinDaily Discord chat to follow along with our updated plays. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

PointGuard: Lonzo Ball, New Orleans Pelicans ($6,300)

While the DVP numbers do not jump off the page, make no mistake in saying that the Detroit Pistons struggle mightily versus opposing guards. With Jrue Holiday battling injuries throughout the entire season, Lonzo Ball has stepped up in a big way. Most notably in his past 7 games, the second-year NBA pro is averaging 42.5 FanDuel points per outing. With injury news still pending surrounding JJ Redick, Jrue Holiday and Derrick Favors, Lonzo’s ceiling could be even higher than anticipated.

ShootingGuard: Bruce Brown, Detroit Pistons ($4,900)

Comprised of multiple unknowns, the Pistons’ roster is tough to figure out. With the frontcourt being surprisingly crowded, Bruce Brown is one of the steadier options to look at in a good matchup versus the New Orleans Pelicans who allow an average of 49.3 FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards. In his last 9 games, Brown has collected a steal in each one and a total of 17 in that span en route to averaging 29.49 FanDuel points per game. On tonight’s NBA slate, Bruce Brown is my favorite value play.

SmallForward: LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers ($10,700)

After missing the Lakers’ last game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron James is expected to be back in the lineup tonight. Playing against his former team and where his illustrious career began, LeBron could not have a better matchup tonight; the Cavaliers allow an NBA-worst 51.50 FanDuel points per game to opposing primary ball handlers. Whether Anthony Davis plays or not, this is LeBron’s game to take over – and with Davis looking unlikely to suit up, lock and load LeBron tonight with confidence.

PowerForward: Kyle Kuzma, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,700)

Kyle Kuzma’s place in our NBA lineups depends on if Anthony Davis plays or not but I am going under the assumption that he will be out. In the last two games Kuzma has played without Davis in the lineup, he has put up 36.2 and 43.4 FanDuel points and has seen a notable usage uptick. While this play may be chalky, I’ll gladly take the salary savings and move on; the Cavaliers allow 47.86 FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards.

Center:Hassan Whiteside, Portland Trail Blazers ($10,000)

A steep price to pay for the NBA big man, Hassan Whiteside will be worth every dollar tonight. Playing against a Charlotte Hornets frontcourt that cannot defend for the life of them, Whiteside is the pay up option I like; Charlotte allows an NBA-worst 59.30 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers. Whiteside has been producing at a ridiculous rate of 1.42 FanDuel points per minute this season and owns Bismack Biyombo in his career: in 13 games played against one another, Whiteside averages 40.25 FanDuel points per game in just 28.6 minutes played, good for 1.41 FanDuel points per minute.

Gamesto Target

  • NewOrleans Pelicans vs Detroit Pistons (227 over/under)
  • ClevelandCavaliers vs Los Angeles Lakers (219.5 over/under)
  • OklahomaCity Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves (219 over/under)

Welcome Back Everyone! Tonight’s main slate on DraftKings has a total of 5 games and the first three tip-off at 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time. There is a ton of injuries on tonights slate so make sure to double check your lineups throughout the day. I will be in the NBA discord chat room if you have any questions for me. (Just tag me in your post). Good luck tonight!

-NBA Schedule-

SA @ TOR – At 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time
ATL @ BKN – At 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time
GSW @ MEM – At 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time
LAC @ DEN – At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
CHA @ PHO – At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time

Top PG Picks:

Ja Morant – DK: ($7,400)

Morant went off against San Antonio two nights ago where he racked up 22 points, 14 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals in 34 minutes of action. Tonight he will be taking on Golden State who is ranked 26th in the NBA against opposing PG’s. On top of that, Morant’s already played them twice this season and is averaging 38 fantasy points per game on DraftKings. Look for him to have a floor of 32 fantasy points tonight.

Terry Rozier – DK: ($7,100)

Rozier continued to score at a high level against Utah in his last outing despite the poor overall performance of Charlotte. Scary Terry has now scored at least 23 points in each of his last five games. He’s the most consistent producer on this Hornets team at the moment. Tonight he will take on Phoenix who is ranked 27th in the NBA against opposing PG’s. Look for Rozier to have a floor of 30 fantasy points tonight.

Ricky Rubio – DK: ($6,800)

I like Rubio tonight strictly for ownership purposes. He also hasn’t been very impressive over the past week when compared to his season averages. For those reasons I believe his ownership will be pretty low tonight which will be advantageous given the slate size. This will be the second time Rubio plays Charlotte this season. In the first match-up, Rubio racked up 39 fantasy points on DraftKings. He should have a floor of 30 fantasy points tonight.

Top SG Picks:

Devin Booker – DK: ($8,400)

Booker has no recorded at least 41 fantasy points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. Tonight he gets an exploitable match-up against Charlotte who is ranked 20th in the NBA against opposing SG’s. Booker has really amped up his production over the past week and a half so I’m going to continue to ride the hot streak. This is his second game against the Hornets this season and in the first bout he put up 37 fantasy points on DraftKings.

Lou Williams – DK: ($6,500)

Lou Williams has recorded at least 36 fantasy points on DraftKings in each of his last four games for Los Angeles. With Paul George already being ruled out for today’s game, Williams will once again take on a larger workload. Denver has a solid defense but with Williams coming off the bench, he has the advantage once again. Look for him to have a floor of 30 fantasy points on DraftKings tonight.

Damion Lee – DK: ($5,000)

Damion Lee is a solid value play for tonight’s slate due to his price dipping all of the way down to $5,000 on DraftKings. Lee recorded at least 26 fantasy points on DK in eight of his last ten games. His production has been leveling off but he is due for another big game soon. His match-up is against Memphis tonight who is ranked 28th in the NBA against opposing SG’s. Look for Lee to have a floor of 26 fantasy points tonight. His ceiling is in the upper 40’s – lower 50’s. Contract Dispute**

Top SF Picks:

Kawhi Leonard – DK: ($9,000)

Leonard exploded two nights ago against Golden State as he racked up 36 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block in 38 minutes of action. The injury to Paul George has allowed for Kawhi to see an increased usage rating. Tonight Leonard figures to be relied heavily on as Denver boasts one of the better defenses in the NBA. Nevertheless, Leonard has a very affordable price tag and he’s got a high floor of 45 fantasy points tonight.

Will Barton – DK: ($7,200)

Barton has recorded at least 31 fantasy points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. Tonight he has a very exploitable match-up against the Clippers who are ranked 23rd in the NBA against opposing SF’s. On top of that, they will be without Paul George once again tonight. This game has an implied total combined score of 220 points as listed on the DraftKings sportsbook. The spread is also at +1 for Denver. This is the perfect kind of match-up for a guy like Barton who fills up the stat sheet.

Kelly Oubre Jr. – DK: ($6,700)

Oubre has now recorded at least 36 fantasy points on DraftKings in seven of his last ten games. Tonight he is going up against Charlotte who is ranked 18th in the NBA against opposing SF’s. This will be his second match-up against the Hornets on the season. In the first bout, Oubre racked up 33.8 fantasy points in 37 minutes of action. His price is actually seeing a slight dip at the moment as well so I am going to take advantage of that.

Top PF Picks:

John Collins – DK: ($8,000)

That’s another solid performance for Collins as he just put up 15 points and 15 rebounds against Washington two nights ago. Tonight he has a solid match-up against Brooklyn who is ranked 21st in the NBA against opposing PF’s. Atlanta might be without their best player Trae Young tonight as he is questionable due to hamstring tightness. If Young misses this game, Collins will see a big increase in his usage rating. Atlanta will most likely rely heavily on Collins tonight for offensive production. Look for him to have a floor of 35 fantasy points.

Serge Ibaka – DK: ($7,800)

Ibaka is a great play at the PF position for tonight’s slate as he’s now recorded 34 fantasy points on DraftKings in each of his last seven games. Tonight he is taking on San Antonio and they are ranked 27th in the NBA against opposing PF’s. This should be a great match-up for Ibaka to record one of his staple double-doubles. The spurs have been getting into a lot of high scoring games recently and I expect this one to be the same way.

Omari Spellman – DK: ($4,100)

Spellman is a great value play as his price is just $4,100 on DraftKings tonight. He’s recorded 27 or more fantasy points in three out of his last four outings. As of right now, Spellman appears to be at the level of play we all expected Paschall to be at. Golden State also waived Marquese Chriss from their roster so he no longer is eating into Omari’s minutes. Look for him to have a floor of 20 fantasy points tonight. Don’t go all-in on this play, but definitely sprinkle him into some GPP lineups.

Top C Picks:

Deandre Ayton – DK: ($7,700)

Ayton has put up at least 31 points on DraftKings in each of his last five games now for the Suns. Tonight he gets one of the better match-ups on the slate against the Hornets. Defensively, Charlotte is ranked 28th in the NBA against opposing C’s. They have been bleeding fantasy points to this position all season long. Although Ayton has only played in eight games, he seems to be more comfortable on his home-court. Look for him to have a floor of 34 fantasy points tonight.

Montrezl Harrell – DK: ($6,100)

Harrell is another solid play at the C position for tonight’s slate as the Clippers get set to take on Denver without Paul George. He will likely see 30+ minutes tonight and that is ample time for him to put up a floor of 30 fantasy points. Harrell has put up at least 28 points on DraftKings in eight of his last ten games. Without George in the lineup, the Clippers are going to need scoring to come from somewhere else. Harrell, Leonard, and Williams are the most likely candidates to see increased numbers.

Jarrett Allen – DK: ($5,500)

Allen is a sneaky play tonight as his price is very affordable. There is no denying his production tailed off in a major way when compared to earlier in the season. Nevertheless, he gets a great match-up tonight against Atlanta who is ranked 24th in the NBA against opposing C’s. Going off that, Allen has played Atalanta twice already this season and is averaging a whopping 36 fantasy points per game against them. Look for Allen to have a floor of 32 fantasy points tonight. If he has a ceiling game tonight he will be a complete SMASH.

My NBA DFS core plays are the basis of your teams for cash and GPP. For a cash lineup, you will fill out your roster with other starters and players with safe minutes. For tournaments, you will use 1 or 2 leverage plays mixed in with other cash style players. Good luck!

NBA DFS Core 4:

Karl Anthony-Towns (10,100)

Towns are only the third-highest priced stud and has arguably the best matchup of the 3. I’m not positive this game stays competitive but if it does, Towns has a legit 70 point ceiling.

Kelly Oubre (7,100)

The Suns get a 1.9 pace boost against Memphis and also the 4th best match-up. Oubre and Booker often correlate well making them an intriguing stack.

Ja Morant (6,200)

On the other side of my Suns stack is Morant. Despite back to back big games, his price just keeps going down. The Suns give up 45 fantasy points per game to guards and this is an underrated spot.

Jae Crowder (4,500)

I didn’t mean to have this many players from one game but here we are. Crowder dropped 60 yesterday playing full minutes and somehow was priced down. My preferred game stack is obviously Memphis and Phoenix

NBA DFS Leverage Plays:

Deandre Ayton (6,900)

Jimmy Butler (7,900)

Jeff Teague (5,400)

Justice Winslow (4,700)

Slate Thoughts:

As I spoke of earlier, my favorite game stack is the Suns and Grizzlies game. To be contrarian you could instead stack Miami, who are way underpriced and run it back with Lilliard or McCollum. I’m also interested in Cleveland players and Minnesota Guards outside of Towns.

Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We are looking at a small 4 game NBA DFS slate of games tonight. In my last article, I gave some thoughts on a building process I’ve been using, where I’ve been fading most of the high priced superstars, focusing on getting more of a solid core across my entire roster. There is very little value available so far on this small NBA DFS slate. It’s going to be very difficult to get those high priced studs in your lineup tonight. I’m sticking with my process in hopes that the studs stay closer to their season averages. I can gain an edge on them with a larger, solid core, of cheaper options. Please note that this building process works better with cash games, but certainly helps in narrowing down a player pool to include in GPP contests as well.

I love the Suns/Grizzlies game that has one of the highest implied totals on the NBA DFS slate (234.5). Phoenix is favored by a modest 6.5 points. The Suns’ starters are simply priced too cheap, and line up for a perfect game stack tonight.

THE CORE

Devin Booker ($8200) DraftKings has failed to raise Boolers salary to match his fantasy production. Booker has scored more than 44 DKFPTS in his last 5 games, and gone over 50 in 3 of his last 4. Booker carries a 29.8% usage rate and scores 1.14 FP/min. Memphis ranks 22nd in DvsA, and 24th in DEFF. I’d like to take advantage of the salary savings on Devin in this great match up.

Kelly Oubre Jr. ($7100) Oubre has just been on fire recently. He’s scored over 45 DKFPTS in 4 straight and played close to 40 minutes in all of them. Kelly carries a 21.6% usage rate and scores an FP/min. His projected 35 DKFPTS already has him sitting at 5X value, and the numbers have him outperforming that projection.

Deandre Ayton ($6900) I’ve been riding this future star since his return from suspension, and he’s still priced too low. Ayton has a 21.9% usage rate already and scores 1.26 FP/min. He’s finally getting starter minutes again and is projected for a modest 40 DKFPTS. That projection already has him sitting at close to 6X value. Factor in the Grizzlies 22nd ranked DvsA, 23rd ranked DEFF, and this is a no brainer. It also makes for a perfect game stack on this NBA DFS slate.

Ja Morant ($6200) This is pretty easy. I love attacking the Suns with guards. The numbers have them ranked at 15th in DEFF, but I think that’s a little inflated. Morant has an incredible 29.9% usage and scores 1.12 FP/min. He’s already averaged 34 DKFPTS in his previous 2 games vs. Phoenix. With those numbers coinciding with his season stats, at this salary, he already has close to 6X value. Having him on my roster here also completes my game stack.

I don’t have the injury information for the Timberwolves at the time I’m writing this. I will absolutely have Shabazz Napier and Robert Covington ownership in this same price range if their lineup remains similar to the last few games.

Other core players to consider:Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio

VALUE

Sekou Doumbouya ($5000) I don’t know a whole lot about this guy yet. There’s a very real chance that Detroit shuts down Griffin for the season. Christian Wood looks like the logical replacement, but the Pistons seem to be content having him in their second rotation. Sekou played 27, and then 38 minutes in his first 2 games. He scored 40 DKFPTS in that last game vs. the Warriors. Having logged B2B double-double as a relative unknown, Sekou could very well exceed 7X in this trying match up against Anthony Davis.

Jae Crowder ($4500) Jae just dropped 62 DKFPTS on the Clippers last night and has been playing well. His salary hasn’t been adjusted yet, and this looks like a good spot to take advantage of. The numbers and stats don’t exactly scream at me here, but he is projected for 26 DKFPTS. At this salary that gives us another 6X value piece on our roster. Looking to get another piece in that NBA DFS slate game stack I alluded to earlier, Crowder looks to be too cheap.

NBA DFS lineups can change at the blink of an eye and are the most variable compared to any other sport in DFS; players get injured, some sit for load management, and others find themselves on the DNP list for other reasons; any of which can sway your lineup and where to find value. Stay alert on the WinDaily Discord chat to follow along with our updated plays. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

PointGuard: Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks ($10,800)

The different value options across the entire NBA slate tonight allow us to pay up for my favorite play of the day in the Mavericks point guard. Luka Doncic has the third-highest usage rate on the season at 35.8% behind only James Harden (37%) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (36.7%). Doncic is in a great spot tonight versus a Brooklyn Nets team that allows the third-most FanDuel to opposing point guards at 49.83 per game. The All-NBA talent could be without teammate Kristaps Porzingis tonight who is listed as GTD and will be relied upon heavily in what should be a tighter game than expected; the Mavericks come in as -425 favorite with a 221 implied game total.

ShootingGuard: Devonte’ Graham, Charlotte Hornets ($7,700)

Just a few weeks ago, the Charlotte Hornets lost a tight game 100-98 versus these same Cleveland Cavaliers. With Cleveland coming in as -125 favorites in a game with a 212.5 over/under, the Hornets’ backcourt duo of Devonte’ Graham and Terry Rozier will be counted on to get a win for a slumping Charlotte squad. In their previous meeting this season, Graham posted 30.7 FanDuel points despite shooting 3-for-16 from the field. With his shot dropping tonight, look for Graham to take advantage of a Cavaliers team that allows an NBA-worst 52 FanDuel points per game to opposing primary ball handlers.

SmallForward: Alec Burks, Golden State Warriors ($5,600)

I ran Alec Bucks in my almost all my NBA lineups just a few days ago and tonight we’re going back to the well. The Warriors have already listed D’Angelo Russell as out with an illness and Burks should assume the role of the primary ball-handler for Golden State. With the Timberwolves playing at the fourth-fastest pace in the league and allowing nearly 50 FanDuel points per game to primary ball handlers, Burks should fill the box score and pick up a few steals along the way.

PowerForward: Marquese Chriss, Golden State Warriors ($4,300)

The Golden State Warriors will be without center Willie Cauley-Stein again tonight, resulting in Marquese Chriss getting the start. Over 34 games this season, Chriss has produced 1.11 NBA FanDuel points per minute, including 2.06 NBA FanDuel points per minute in the two games he started in. If Karl-Anthony Towns plays tonight, I would lower my expectations slightly and hedge this play with Christian Wood ($4,100) who should see a lot of run with Markieff Morris ruled out and Blake Griffin doubtful to play for the Detroit Pistons.

Center:Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons ($9,800)

The one bright spot for a depleted Detroit Pistons team, Andre Drummond should feast on his matchup versus Ivica Zubac and Montrezl Harrell. In 5 games versus Zubac, Drummond averages 1.31 FanDuel points per minute and 1.48 FanDuel points per minute in 6 games versus Harrell. As long as Detroit does not sit their star big man should this game turn into a blowout quicker than anticipated, Drummond should be in for a big NBA DFS night.

Gamesto Target

  • Golden State Warriors vs MinnesotaTimberwolves (215 over/under)
  • Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets (221over/under)
  • Detroit Pistons vs Los Angeles Clippers(223.5 over/under)
  • Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings (224over/under)
