Win Daily Sports Interview with Nic Sulsky

On this Win Daily Sports Interview with Nic Sulsky, he and Michael Rasile discuss Nic’s career in fantasy sports. Outside of fantasy sports, Nic has a great outlooks on what it takes to succeed in an industry that people dream of working in. With some things making his life harder, he does what is necessary, and more, to get the most out of life.

Nic has been within the industry for a while before creating Monkey Knife Fight. He was a producer for TV and Movies before he sat down in the chair to be on camera. For a few years, Nic was featured on TSN (Canada’s ESPN) to discuss Fantasy Hockey. He created, wrote, and co-hosted a show that would air online.

After enjoying his time in front of the camera, he decided to get into the business side of fantasy sports seeing that it was a huge market already with more potential to grow. He hopped around to a few different start ups where he was able to bring value through his relationships and network. Along the way, he started his own Fantasy Sports platform that was around for over 5 years.

During 2018, Nic and his co-founder created Monkey Knife Fight, a DFS game that is centered around prop plays rather than betting the lines. They have gained significant market share already and are excited to continue to grow, and we’re excited to grow with them! MKF has a great brand and logo that have helped them gain extra attention and we even find out the MKF is an old school Simpson’s reference.

Scott has been doing this for well over twenty years and has seen it all. He is an inaugural member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association’s Hall of Fame and his body of work shows it.

Scott spend the first seven plus years of his career at CBS where he was able to cut his teeth in the industry. He eventually moved on to ESPN where he worked with guys like Eric Karabell and Tristan Cockcroft. Scott has fond memories of working at the World Wide Leader in Sports and even admits that is was pretty cool getting to see his name next to the ESPN logo. Who wouldn’t enjoy that?

Scott has been on the air with SiriusXM for over ten years and is an award-winning host for the channel.

In the interview with Scott we learn that he is the Fantasy Sports writer for the Seattle Seahawks, his favorite football team, which has allowed him some extra access to players. He is also a credentialed media member at Citi Field where his favorite baseball team, the Mets, play. Once the players find out that he is the “Fantasy Guy” they are much more willing to speak with him. He’s even helped consult big name players on who to draft for their teams and who to play on a weekly basis.

Scott has now taken his talents back to CBS while still creating content and hosting his SiriusXM radio show. Through Scott’s career he has been able to develop skills, mindsets, and relationships that have helped him continue down this career path. Win Daily Show Interview with David Moreno

Michael Rasile has another Win Daily Show interview with David Moreno to learn more about David’s path in becoming a sports agent. After practicing law and helping out friends that were athletes, he saw it was something he’d want to do. By understanding the athlete representation space through friends, he was able to see how he could add value and turn this into another avenue to make money and help others.

David is a firm believer in adding value anywhere he can and letting the universe do it’s thing. David got started as a lawyer and working in Manhattan as a DA. While on his first case, a juror that was in his case really enjoyed what he did and the way he carried himself. This gentleman, it turns out, was a sports agent. After a few years of David practicing law he ran back into the juror and got the opportunity to learn under him on how to become a successful sport agent.

While continuing to work as a practicing lawyer, David has also taken on becoming a successful sports agent. By looking at his calendar through a lens of productivity, he able to make sure that he is utilizing his time as best he can. Looking at the white spaces of the calendar has giving him the opportunity to become accessible as well.

Having 10 athletes in the 2020 NFL Draft Class, David has had a lot of work to do. Using open, honest communication and making sure to be extremely prepared, he has set his clients up for success. Learning from his law background, he’s put his draft prospects in the best possible position moving forward.

Win Daily Show Interview with Lenny “The Legend” Melnick

On this episode of the Win Daily Show, Michael Rasile conducts an interview with Lenny “The Legend” Melnick. Lenny has been around fantasy sports for over 30 years and creating content around it for well over 20. He was apart of the first radio broadcast of a roto draft in 1993.

Through his love of sports and love of fantasy, he decided to take the industry and run with it. Lenny has helped many of the people we all know and love within the fantasy sports industry. His knowledge, wisdom, and insight have touched the lives of just about every person and player out there.

From the beginning he was always looking to bring value. Whether this was in the form of fantasy advice, or allowing his customers to bring their kids on a radio broadcast. He believed that being nice to others will come back to you, which it has for him. He’s utilized his platform to bring people together and to have fun, which aside from money, is exactly what fantasy sports are intended to do.

Lenny is a big believer in utilizing fantasy sports as another version of “brain games.” Every day for the last 30 years he has created lineups, looked at team and player statistics, and tried his best to construct the best collection of players. This has helped his brain stay sharp over the last 30 years and he wants those of us in the DFS community to promote this opportunity. The people with some of the most disposable income, that could benefit the most (outside of the money) by playing the game should be taken more seriously.

Lenny has a daily podcast, a SiriusXM Radio show, and creates content all the time around fantasy sports. Make sure to follow along with his incredible career!

Win Daily Show Podcast Interview with Javi Prellezo

Michael Rasile hosts the Win Daily Show Podcast Interview with Javi Prellezo to discuss his life in DFS. Javi only started playing DFS a few years ago but has been able to rack up an impressive resume with multiple finals appearances to his name already.

In the interview with Javi they discuss what the “Win Daily” mindset is and how he was attracted to come work with us to help others. Positivity is a big mantra in Javi’s life that allows him to do what he needs to do with his thoughts clear and of the utmost understanding.

With over six $20k first place finishes in baseball and $40k in profits in football during the 2019 season, it’s understandable that he is looking forward to real sports coming back. But in the meantime, he has risen into the top 25 in the world for esports DFS showing his dedication to his second full time job. In the interivew with Javi we learn how he’s been able to do this!

Through his focus, research, and dedication, Javi has been able to figure out how League of Legends works, how to create a strategy around the game, and how to Win Daily. He also uses the incredible resources and people on the Win Daily Team to help him bring it on home. Jumping up into the top 25 is no easy feat, but Javi was able to do it quickly while oozing positivity. He not only wins for himself, but he also helps others along the way. Javi is constantly in the Discord chat helping others during the “normal times” and helping those who are just looking to play a little DFS, even if the games do start at 2am EST.

Make sure to give Javi a follow on Twitter!

I refer to DraftKings in this article

I have been adapting too LoL on Draftkings with the recent shortage of sports and am surprised to say I really enjoy it. I put in about a weeks worth of different strategies but have finally gotten to a place where I am confident in sharing because it has proven profitable.

Here is my strategy for MME (Mass Multi Entry) for LoL (League of Legends)

LoL Tip 1: Stack Two Teams (Like MLB DFS)

All you want to do is stack two teams. There is no need to try and pick the best player from each team because LoL players correlate with one another. The main correlation is ADC and SUP. JNG also correlates with TOP or MID to some extent.

I prefer 4-3 stacks (four players from one team and three from another).

Ex. Four players from OMG and three players from JDG. You also want to run the optimizers and swap the teams. Ex. Four players from JDG and three players from OMG. Run an optimizer to see how many combos you get and make sure it isn’t a huge amount. If it is you will see how to tighten the player pool below.

LoL Tip 2: The CPT (the Pitcher)

I only use ADC, MID or JNG at Captain. That’s it. Delete everyone else from your player pool. These are the highest upside positions.

If I am stacking team JDC then I put the ADC, MID and JNG in a group where one of these players must be the captain when using four players from this team in a stack. If all four players go off, you are likely going to need one of them at the CPT spot.

DraftKings raises the CPT spot price, so it makes a lot of sense to take a value guy in this position, much like NBA showdowns. The CPT I won with last night was 2.9% owned. Taking a cheaper CPT is a HUGE advantage we have right now with novice DFS players moving over to LoL to learn how to play. They will make the mistake of paying up for CPT.

LoL Tip 3: Groups

When I make four or three man team stacks I make sure that I have at least two of the three positions I am targeting (ADC, MID, JNG) in my lineups. If the salaries are not working to where I can fit two of these with each team I am stacking (CPT included) then the lineup is not optimal and I move on until I can make it work.

LoL Tip 4: Salary

Feel free to leave a signifiant amount of money on the table. Last night I had my teams set to where they could leave up to $2,500 on the table. I took down third in the 50K tourney.

LoL Tip 5: You have to lose to win:

This is not as scary as it sounds. Last night there was a six game slate with three teams very heavily favored. I know I wanted a piece of all three but their salaries were so high that I was not able to stack them so here is what I did. I chose the game with the closest spread which happened to be TES vs JDG to stack my favorite teams with. Half of my teams had a heavy favorite and TES and half of my teams had a heavy favorite and JDG. I did this because if you have both sides of a close game you are guaranteed to lose half and win half. I also thought the teams would be lower owned because of the risk of a close match.

This is how I stacked (or attempted to stack) last night,

4 FPX 3 JDG (wouldn’t work), 4 JDG 3 FPX (wouldn’t work)

4 GEN 3 JDG, 4 JDG 3 GEN

4 OMG 3 JDG, 4 JDG 3 OMG (ding, ding ding, we have a winner)

4 FPX 3 TES (wouldn’t work), 4 TES 3 FPX (wouldn’t work)

4 GEN 3 TES, 4 TES 3 GEN

4 OMG 3 TES, 4 TES 3 OMG

This is all that I did last night in LoL and was able to make a huge profit. I had 58 teams in the $10 for the record. Follow this guide and you and I will have very similar if not the exact same teams.

Player Positions For DraftKings Lol (League of Legends):   Descriptions by Jim Thompson

TOP LANER (TOP): The Top patrols the top lane and on any given team takes on one of three roles. The three roles are Tank, Bruisers, or Carry.

Tank: They have a lot of health, survivability, and have ways to stun or immobilize their enemy.

Bruisers: Not as hard to kill as Tanks and usually have less ability. They do have the ability to cause damage, so they can’t be ignored in a fight.

Carry: They are rarer to see in professional play. Top lane carries can output high amounts of damage and destroy enemy teams if they get strong enough. The issue is that most carries are easy to kill. They often have to be right next to the enemy to damage them.

Jungler (JNG): The Jungler is one of the most important positions on the team. His job helps teammates get ahead of the enemy in the early stages of the game. He doesn’t play in a select lane. He runs in between lanes in the Jungle killing the monsters and waiting for an excellent time to jump into a lane and give his teammates a two versus one or three versus two advantage in a fight. When Junglers come into a lane to help their teammate get kills, it’s called a “gank”. At the professional level, you won’t see players die within the first 15 to 20 minutes of the match unless a gank is involved. Junglers tend to use the same options of champions as Top laners use; Tank, Bruisers, Carry.

Mid Laner (MID): Starts the match in the middle lane of the map. The Mid Laner is generally a champion that can inflict serious damage and usually has more utility than the next player.

Attack Damage Carry (ADC): The ADC is essentially and archer as a champion, who can attack from far distances and produce a lot of damage to his opponent quickly, but is also very easy to kill. ADC’s have to be the most skilled player. If they take one wrong step in a fight, they can be killed instantaneously. It is almost impossible for a team to win if the ADC has been eliminated. ADC’s regularly play at the bottom map in a lane with the support player.

Support (SUP): The Support is essentially the ADC’s bodyguard. His primary focus is to provide him with heals, shields, and everything possible to protect the ADC and stop him from being killed.
