This report will provide recommended DFS stacks for today’s 10-game main slate. I will also include my favorite pitching picks.

**All plays are listed in order of preference. Please check back between 5-6 PM EST as some players can receive rest days or get limited at bats especially as we get closer we get to the postseason.

Cleveland Indians Stack

vs. LHP Daniel Norris (DET): 6.30 Runs

Daniel Norris takes the mound in Cleveland this evening. He carries a 4.96 ERA, 4.62 FIP, and 4.71 ERA into tonight’s matchup. We get a nice little recipe here with his reverse splits. Left handed batters are slashing to a .367 wOBA, .540 SLG, and .343 OBP across 16 innings pitched. He has allowed 13 runs in that short span. His 40% hard contact rate and 40% pull rate combined with his shakiness to lefties can make for some easy liners to right field. Norris racked up eight strikeouts but gave up six earned runs in his last meeting with Cleveland. Cleveland batters are hitting below their season averages this month, slashing to a .309 wOBA, .154 ISO, and 88 WRC+. These numbers aren’t typically what we look for but they’re in the worst part of their slump and this is a good opportunity to bust out of it.

Preferred Stack: Roberto Perez ($2700 FD|$4100 DK), Jordan Luplow ($2500 FD|$3900 DK), Carlos Santana ($3800 FD|$5000 DK), and Francisco Lindor ($4000 FD|$4900 DK).

Colorado Rockies Stack

vs. RHP Derek Rodriguez (SFG):

Dereck Rodriguez was called up from AAA as the 26th man ahead of today’s doubleheader. He carries a 5.27 ERA, 5.57 FIP, and 5.46 SIERA across 57 innings pitched into tonight’s game. He has struggled both to righties and lefties, allowing a .338 wOBA, .462 SLG, and 46% hard contact rate. The Rockies batting averages are creeping up again on this home stand and should continue to rise this evening. They are slashing to a .349 wOBA, .193 ISO, and .457 SLG against right handed pitching recently and the studs in this lineup are coming off a rest day.

Preferred Stack:Charlie Blackmon ($4800 FD|$5700 DK), Daniel Murphy ($4100 FD|$5200 DK), David Dahl ($4200 FD|$5500 DK), Trevor Story ($4600 FD|$5600 DK), and Nolan Arenado ($4700 FD|$5400 DK).

Every stack report in the industry is going to have the Giants and Rockies. Ownership almost always levitates to Coors, especially when you have Dereck Rodriguez (SFG) and Chi Chi Gonzalez (COL) pitching. Going to be a lot of ownership on both sides here ,so I am not writing up the Giants in detail for that purpose, but I’ve included my preferred stack if you decide to go with the masses tonight.

Preferred Stack: Alex Dickerson ($3800 FD|$4800 DK), Stephen Vogt ($2700 FD|$4300 DK), Evan Longoria ($3500 FD|$5300 DK), Pablo Sandoval ($2900 FD|$4900 DK), Brandon Crawford ($3000 FD|$3900 DK), and Austin Slater ($3600 FD|$5000 DK).

Los Angeles Dodgers Stack

vs. RHP Zach Eflin (PHI): 5.40 Runs

I imagine ownership here will be higher as well. It’s not very often we get the Dodgers so early in the evening. Zach Eflin carries a 3.78 ERA, 4.66 FIP, and 4.70 SIERA into tonight’s matchup. Left handed batters are slashing to a .357 wOBA, .544 SLG, and .333 OBP. He has allowed 22 earned runs and 11 home runs across 43 innings pitched to lefties as well. The only concern I really have with Dodgers batters here is a possible hangover from last night’s game. The Dodgers are slashing .to a 335 wOBA, .209 ISO, and 109 WRC+ vs. right handed pitching over the last month.

Preferred Stack:Max Muncy ($3800 FD|$4600 DK), Alex Verdugo ($3100 FD|$4100 DK), Cody Bellinger ($4800 FD|$5100 DK), and Joc Pederson ($2600 FD|$4200 DK).

Boston Red Sox Stack

vs. RHP Trent Thornton (TOR): 6.25 Runs

The Red Sox get another cupcake matchup against Thornton. They have faced him twice this season, his first outing in Boston when he allowed only two earned runs and a recent second outing in Toronto in which he allowed seven earned runs. This Red Sox team is hitting very well recently. They are slashing .372 wOBA, .254 ISO, and 129 WRC+. I have the same concern with the Red Sox as with the Dodgers. They played late last night but they do get the benefit at being at home. Trent Thornton has a 4.85 ERA, 4.41 FIP, and 4.75 ERA on the year. He has identical splits, allowing batters to slash to a .332 wOBA, .321 BABIP, and .444 SLG.

Preferred Stack: Rafael Devers ($4100 FD|$5500 DK), Xander Bogaerts ($4400 FD|$5300 DK), Mookie Betts ($4200 FD|$4800 DK), and Christian Vazquez ($2900 FD|$4700 DK).

Honorable Mention

Houston Astros vs. RHP Griffin Canning (LAA): 4.90 Runs

Preferred Stack: Alex Bregman ($4200 FD|$4400 DK), Yordan Alvarez ($4300 FD|$4800 DK), Michael Brantley ($3900 FD|$4000 DK), and Yuli Gurriel ($3800 FD|$4200 DK).

Toronto Blue Jays vs. RHP Rick Porcello (BOS): 4.25 Runs

Preferred Stack: Freddy Galvis ($3200 FD|$4300 DK), Cavan Biggio ($3700 FD|$4500 DK), Eric Sogard ($3300 FD|$4700 DK), and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($3800 FD|$5300 DK).

Pitching

  1. RHP Adam Plutko vs. DET: 4.20 Runs
  2. RHP Lucas Giolito vs. KCR: 4.40 Runs
  3. LHP James Paxton vs. TAM: 4.00 Runs

Micheal Brantley should see some solid pitches today in the clean up spot with Alvarez hitting behind him AND Bregman is leading off, lock in these Houston bats as they face Trent Thornton. I have a unique strategy today which is playing the one, two and four batters for Houston, avoiding Alvarez. He will be very chalky today and a bad game is imminent. If anything, I can see them pitching around him, taking their chances with Josh Reddick. The Houston Astros are favored by -220 with a 9 under/over.

Updated 11:55 pm EST

The Arizona Diamondbacks face the red-hot Anibal Sanchez. Over his last three starts, Sanchez owns a 1.04 ERA and has struck out 15 batters allowing a mere .153 BA to all opposing batters over this span. Sanchez is a completely viable play tonight despite Arizona’s impressive play on this road trip scoring 45 runs over the last seven. The Diamondbacks do struggle against right-handed pitching as they’re only batting .243 against righties this season, compared to a .295 BA vs. opposing left-handed pitching. Arizona only has a .310 OBP and a .429 SLG to opposing righties. Sanchez is my pitching play today on both sites. Salaries are extremely reasonable.

Updated 11:43 am EST

The Atlanta Braves lead the league in runs over the past week with 55. They set to face Cole Irvin, a left-handed rookie who is allowing lefties to hit for average and righties to hit for power. The Braves lineup looks very juicy. Donaldson is my dong call of the day as his bat is heating up. Donaldson has hit seven of his eleven home runs at home and Atlanta owns the leagues highest BA on the slate over the last week. Donaldson is in the four hole and should have ample opportunity for some RBI. Atlanta is favored by -160 with a 10.5 under/over.

The Texas Rangers have struck out 84 times in the past seven days, a league high. Today, they face Sonny Gray who has been known to get some strike outs on his slider. Gray has been putting up consistently modest numbers and has yet to face Texas so far this season. Yes, the home run ball worries me a bit but this is the perfect hedge game. Gray did struggle in his last outing allowing two homers and six earned runs. Invest in exposure to Texas’ pitcher as well. I truly believe the 9.5 under/over is way too high! I will be betting the under for this match up today. Stay tuned for more information as the lineups start coming in.

There were 17 games played on Saturday June 8 due to Boston/Tampa Bay and Oakland/Texas both having doubleheaders. Some players excelled while others did not perform to expectations. All prices and points are based off DraftKings.

Winners

JaCoby Jones ($3,400)

Jones had a game to remember from the nine hole in the order for the Tigers. He went 3-for-4 with two home runs, 5 RBI and two runs scored. His nine total bases are a season-high, as he never had more than six in 2019. Even with his recent hot streak, fade him for today’s slate.

Jones’ Outlook

This was the best game for JaCoby Jones this season. He never really has been a power guy, but has been on fire for the past two weeks. In his last 15 games, Jones is 21-for-51 (.412) with four homers and 13 RBI. It is difficult to expect any better offensive production from him. The Tigers continue their series against the Minnesota Twins this afternoon. Jake Odorizzi has been neutralizing opposing lineups so fade JaCoby Jones.

Nick Pivetta ($8,800)

Nick Pivetta threw the first complete game of his career against the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. His final line was nine innings of one run ball on six hits. He also had six strikeouts and did not allow a walk. Pivetta was throwing strikes consistently and fooling batters. After the first two batters of the game, he did not allow another baserunner until the seventh inning. He seems to be locking in on the mound, and look for him to continue his dominance in his next outing.

Pivetta’s Outlook

This was the best outing in Pivetta’s three-year career thus far. In his three games since returning from injury, Pivetta has been solid, only giving up 12 hits in 20 innings. His next scheduled start is Friday in Atlanta against the division-rival Braves. Atlanta has the third-best batting average in the National League with a .259 mark, so it will be a good matchup to watch. Pivetta’s dominance makes it easy to believe he will continue pitching well.

Losers

Yusei Kikuchi ($5,900)

Even with a smaller price tag compared to other starting pitchers on yesterday’s slate, Kikuchi had the worst overall performance. He was facing the Los Angeles Angels and finished with 3.1 innings pitched and seven runs (six earned) on nine hits. He also had three walks and only a single strikeout on the day. The home run was Kikuchi’s kryptonite, as he gave up three of them, all in the fourth inning, and picked up the loss. Look to avoid Kikuchi for the forseeable future.

Kikuchi’s Outlook

Maybe it’s the transition from Japanese hitters to MLB hitters or the adjustment of a pitching schedule he became accustomed to overseas, but Kikuchi has hit a wall. In his previous three starts, he has combined for 10 innings pitched, 18 runs given up (16 earned), six home runs allowed, 29 hits and has a walk-to-strikeout ratio of 6:2. He has not looked good and maybe a skipped start could provide him some much needed rest. His next scheduled outing is Friday night in Oakland. The Athletics rank eighth in MLB in long balls with 97 and it seems Kikuchi is throwing batting practice recently. Avoid Kikuchi until he can prove he is worthy of at least being a blip on your radar.

Michael Brantley ($4,600)

Brantley did not record a hit yesterday against a historically awful Baltimore Orioles pitching staff. He went 0-for-4 and reached base on a fielder’s choice but was doubled-up on a robbed home run by Anthony Santander in center field. This was definitely a game Brantley wants to forget, but he should be looked upon as a viable outfield option today.

Brantley’s Outlook

Brantley has hit a cold streak, albeit in a small sample size. He is currently hitless in nine at-bats in the first two games of the Baltimore series, something incredible when looking at how historically dreadful this Baltimore pitching staff has been for the first third of the 2019 campaign. Today is the finale of their three-game set in Houston and as long as Brantley is in the lineup, look for him to break his mini-slump with a multi-hit performance.

Injury Update

The Yankees announced Giancarlo Stanton is expected to begin his rehab assignment on Monday while Aaron Judge could begin his within two weeks.

The Boston Red Sox placed Mitch Moreland on the 10-day Injured List with a right quad strain.

Tampa Bay Rays top prospect Brent Honeywell is out for the remainder of 2019 after suffering a fractured bone is his elbow while throwing a bullpen session.

Balls will certainly be put in play by the Diamondbacksagainst Marcus Stroman. Jarrod Dyson ($4500 on DraftKings) is hitting .328 with13 runs scored and four steals in road games. David Peralta is hitting .320with 15 RBI and 14 runs on the road.

We should definitely be picking on Brett Anderson with someTexas bats. Logan Forsythe (4300) is hitting .349 with 18 RBI against LHPs.Elvis Andrus (4700) is hitting .317 with six steals and 15 RBI against lefties.Nomar Mazara (4500) is hitting .307 with 16 runs scored vs. lefties. RougnedOdor is worth the 3600 play as well.

Baltimore will be rolling out Gabriel Ynoa to start and itwill be a good opportunity to load some Astros bats in against him and theOrioles bullpen. Michael Brantley is hitting .351 with 17 RBI and 18 runsscored in home games. Alex Bregman is hitting .293 with six homers, 18 RBI and18 runs scored at home. Robinson Chirinos has 14 RBI and 13 runs scored in homegames.

Milwaukee bats are a must against Rookie Davis. ChristianYelich is hitting .424 with 18 homers and 36 RBI at home and is the obviousplay, but you do have to spend 6000 to get him. Mike Moustakas (5100) has ninehomers and 18 RBI at home  YasmaniGrandal (4900) has five homers, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored at home.

Ivan Nova and his 9.39 road ERA is definitely something to take advantage of. Adalberto Mondesi (5500) is hitting .302 with 15 steals at home. Alex Gordon (4800) is obviously a strong play as well and consider sliding in any other Royals bats you can to complement your stacks. I would take Nicky Lopez as a 3200 salary saver play.

You can also consider some Padres against Washington’s ErickFedde. Hunter Renfroe is worth the 5000 as he has 18 of his homers and 35 RBIagainst RHPs. Franmil Reyes has 19 homers and 32 RBI vs. righties.

1.) Houston Astros:

Gabriel Ynoa is terrible. On the road this season, in a small sample size, he holds a 6.52 ERA. Against right-handed bats, and he has a .357 BAA. I see the Astros taking Ynoa out of this game fairly quickly and I can’t wait to see how they dismantle this bullpen. I’m all in on Alex Bregman and Michael Brantley, and I don’t mind Derek Fisher for salary relief. Using Robinson Chirinos to round out your stack for a low-owned bomb should be considered too.

2.) Texas Rangers:

Ah, back in the Texas heat we go. Brett Anderson is a gas can and I will gladly attack him every time he hits the bump. You should feature Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara and Elvis Andrus to round out this stack.

3.) Milwaukee Brewers:

Rookie Davis is a gas can. In his limited career, he holds a 9.58 road ERA and a .383 BAA. He’s equally terrible against righties and lefties, and his strikeout ability is nothing to be impressed by. With all this power in the Brewers lineup, especially the lefties, we should see plenty of runs. The main bats I want are the lefties: Christian Yelich, Mike Moustakas, Yasmani Grandal and I don’t mind Travis Shaw either. One main reason I’m looking at the power lefties is because Davis has a 3.21 HR/9 against them. This is my favorite GPP stack, no matter the ownership percentages.

4.) Tampa Bay Rays:

This is my underdog stack of the night. No one ever really likes stacking the Rays and I’ll keep taking advantage. Rick Porcello has shown flashes of being decent this season, but he’s been very inconsistent. With his struggles against lefties, my main focus is Austin Meadows. On the road against right-handed pitching, Meadows is batting .418 with a 49% hard-hit rate. Pair him up with Ji-Man Choi, Tommy Pham and Kevin Kiermaier and we have a nice four-man stack that’s going to be very low owned.

If the Houston lineup was not depleted by injuries, theywould be the obvious stack against Wade LeBlanc. But if you can also considerthe Dodgers lineup against Robbie Ray. The Diamondbacks starter has not beenterrible this season, and he is 2-0 with a 3.32 ERA at home. But the Dodgersare the best lineup on the slate tonight and they are second-best in the leagueagainst LHPs with 99 runs scored.

Don’t worry about platoon splits with Alex Verdugo at $3900 onDraftKings as he is hitting .354 with six RBI and seven runs scored vs. lefties.Consider spending up for Cody Bellinger at 5800, as he is hitting .333 withseven homers, 20 RBI and 15 runs scored vs. lefties. Kike Hernandez (3900) has15 RBI and 12 runs scored vs. lefties. You can also use catcher Will Smith tosave some salary at a cool 2700.

Of course, you can also opt to attack LeBlanc instead sinceRay is clearly the better pitcher. LeBlanc has an 8.31 home ERA and has allowedsix of eight home runs in Seattle so far, where he has four of his six starts.Derek Fisher (4,000) already has five hits in nine ABs vs. lefties since he wasrecently called up so go lefty on lefty there. Jake Marisnick (4,100) ishitting .463 with nine runs scored vs. LHPs but he is likely to hit lower inthe lineup. Josh Reddick (3,900) is at .375 vs. lefties and Michael Brantley (4,600)is at .333 with 11 RBI against them, and both can be used even though they areLHBs. Alex Bregman is at 4,900.

Here are thetop teams to stack for MLB’s May 22nd action:

Seattle Mariners

The Texas Rangers’ Adrian Sampson is the perfect stacking target on Wednesday as he is due to come in after Jesse Chavez, who only helps make this stack formidable. Sampson has a 4.79 ERA this season as well as a 5.18 SIERA. Sampson also is getting hit extremely hard, as he has a 47.2% hard contact rate in 2019. The Seattle offense will take advantage of these opportunities, as the Mariners have a team ISO of .229 against righties this season.

As you construct your Seattle stacks, look to begin with the right-handed bats of the Mariners. Sampson has allowed a .343 batting average, .428 wOBA and 2.22 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300), Mitch Haniger (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,300), Ryan Healy (FanDuel:  $2,800 DraftKings: $3,700) and Tim Beckham (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,000), are all right-handed batters that have excelled against right-handed pitching this season. Each of these hitters have ISO’s over .200 in those type of matchups.

And while heis not a right-handed batter, Daniel Vogelbach (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,500),has to make your list of Mariners. He has a .410 ISO and .458 wOBA againstrighties in 2019, while Sampson is allowing a 50.9% hard contact rate tolefties this season.

Texas Rangers

Seattle will be starting Marco Gonzales. The southpaw has a put up decent numbers in 2019 but has a 4.99 xFIP, meaning regression is on its way. Look for that move back to mean to begin tonight. The Rangers put up big power numbers against left-handed pitching.

Piece thatRangers’ stack together with the left mashers: Joey Gallo (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings:$5,600), Nomar Mazara (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100), Hunter Pence (FanDuel:$3,900 DraftKings: $5,400) and Danny Santana (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $5,200).

New York Yankees

Whenever the Baltimore Orioles push Dan Straily to the bump, we are going to be interested in attacking the right-hander with stacks. And today is no different, especially with the Yankees being Straily’s opponent. The New York offense has produced the sixth-highest ISO against right-handed pitching this season. That should play well against Straily, who owns a 6.42 SIERA, 7.24xFIP and 2.93 HR/9 this season, all of which are the highest of any pitcher scheduled to start today.

When building your Pinstripes stack, feel free to use any and all Yankees regardless of which side of the plate they bat from. Straily has been bad against both righties and lefties this season. Against left-handed batters he is allowing a .384 wOBA and a 2.3 HR/9. And versus righties he is allowing a .394/.419/.732 slash line.

Just be sure not to leave Gary Sanchez (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings:$5,500) off any of your Yankee builds. The New York slugger is raking againstrighties this season. He owns a .381 ISO and a .413 wOBA against them. You are probablygoing to want some combination of Gleyber Torres (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300),Brett Gardner (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $4,800), Luke Voit (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings:$5,300) and Clint Frazier (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,300) as well. Each ofthose four Yankees’ hitters have .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitchingin 2019.

Houston Astros

The Astroshave crushed right-handed pitching all season long. They have a .220 ISO, .355wOBA and a 127 wRC+ against them. With the White Sox starting Ivan Nova in thisone, you have to believe they keep smashing, so load up on the Astros.

As you loadup on them, feel free to picks batters from either side of the plate. Nova isallowing a .435 wOBA to lefties and a .365 wOBA to righties in 2019.

The Astros’stack should begin with the usual suspects. Alex Bregman (FanDuel: $4,300DraftKings: $5,500), George Springer (FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $5,900) if heis in the lineup and Michael Brantley (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,200).  Each of these three sluggers have an OPSgreater than 1.010 against right-handed pitching.

You willalso want to target Robinson Chirinos (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $4,400),Jake Marisnick (FanDuel: $2,400 DraftKings: $4,900), Carlos Correa (FanDuel: $4,100DraftKings: $5,200) and Aledmys Diaz (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,500).These four Astros all have ISOs greater than .200 against righties in 2019.

Minnesota Twins

The Twinshave been red hot over the last week. In the last seven days the Minnesotaoffense has a .307 batting average and a .230 team ISO. With the Twins facing theAngels’ Matt Harvey tonight, there is no reason to believe the Twins’ bats cooltonight.

Harvey ownsa 5.07 SIERA and has a below league average 17% K rate. You want to attack theAngels’ starter with left-handed bats. Harvey is allowing a .395 wOBA, 1.89HR/9 and a 55.9% hard contact versus lefty batters in 2019.

So, as youbuild your Twins’ stack you are looking at guys like Jason Castro (FanDuel: $3,200DraftKings: $4,100), Jorge Polanco (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $4,700), MaxKepler (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100) and Eddie Rosario (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings:$4,600). The Twinkies’ lefty foursome all have ISOs of at least .243 against right-handedpitching this season.

Good luckand happy stacking!
