Ah, playoff basketball how I love you. The end of the season can be a nightmare so I am personally ecstatic to know who will be playing and having the tightened rotations so that we can better project the winning plays for you. We have everything you need to help you find success no matter the scenario including our NBA Projection ModelCheat Sheet, Discord, Youtube, @WinDailySports on Twitter, and Reddit . Yes folks, we have a Reddit page. Let’s dig in, have some fun, and make some cash with Win Daily Sports NBA Playoff Breakdown 5.30.

Since we are looking at small slates from here on out we’ll be keeping the list smaller than usual. Be sure to fill in the gaps with our projection model and discord. I’ll have my core posted about an hour prior to lock. I am also going to go against our normal procedures and put some value guys in here to fill things out so you can play with builds early.

***this is by no means all encompassing, there are plenty of other strong plays but honestly what kind on analyst would I be if I just gave you all of the high priced guys. We all know who they are. These are just the guys that I happen to prefer. If you have a gut feeling and they are not on this list, please go for it. I want to see you win, I do not care if it is with a play I do not recommend so long as you win. I will celebrate you victory all the same.

Win Daily Sports NBA Playoff Breakdown 5.30

Point Guards:

Luka Doncic, Mavericks, $11,100

I should not need to explain this. We have been hammering this concept for the entire season. You play primary ball handlers against the Clippers. Period.

Derrick Rose, Knick, $6,000:

This man must have access to the fountain of youth. He’s bee playing 39 minutes a night and he has taken 21 shots in each of the last two. I was firmly under the impression that Julius Randle would be taking over these games but he has been more than happy to facilitate and play defense while letting Rose lead the teams offense and it has bore fruit. 32.75, 37.75, and 47.5 DK points in the last three games and his usage is sitting at around 26% in each of these last three. It is not just points either, he has also been giving us around 5 assists and five rebounds in each of these games as well. His knees are shot, I know. But I think this man just wants to win and he will deal with the physical toll in the offseason. I am very much pulling for this guy from a personal perspective. Just a few years ago he was written off completely and yet here is is dominating on a team that none of us thought would be here at the beginning of the season.

Reggie Jackson, Clippers, $4,400:

Reggie Jackson is shooting the ball? Welcome to playoff NBA. He’s played 30 and 34 minutes in the last two games and has taken 12 shots in each and giving you a few peripherals in the process. His ceiling is 28 DK in my opinion but we are not living in the world where you have to score 380 points just to win a contests. As of right now 302 point is winning the single entry I’m playing tonight. You have to think differently this time of year. If you tell me a guy will score 15-18 points, and get 3 or 4 rebounds and assists and maybe a steal or two for $4,400. Easy value play for me tonight.

Shooting Guards:

Paul George, Clippers, $8,600:

I can not believe I am doing this but the data says that I have to recommend “Playoff P”. He has been playing well and quite honestly there isn’t anyone out there on Dallas that can guard him. The Mavericks are tailor made for PG13 to dominate. Who’s gonna guard him? The answer is nobody and besides Kawhi they have no other shooters.

Win Daily Sports NBA Playoff Breakdown 5.30

Small Forwards:

Kevin Durant, Nets, $9,900:

The conspiracy theorist in me felt like Durant’s injury during the season was never as bad as what we were made to believe and they were keeping him rested and ready to take over when the playoffs started and his game right now is making me feel more and more right about this. He is the clear #1 in this big three. In the three games against Boston he has led the team in usage, total points, rebounds and steals. Boston has no answer for him and he is $600 cheaper than Harden.

Romeo Langford, Celtics, $3,300:

When Williams went down you would have thought that Luke Kornet was going to get all of the minutes left behind. No, not even close. Romeo Langford played 27 minutes in game three. While he did not look great he gave you 16 points at a $3,000 price tag and I do not expect people to go in this direction. I think people will automatically lock in Kornet do to the position v position swap but Boston won game three and there is no way they are going to change away from something that works at this crucial stage. Right now this is a gut play but I have a really good feeling that Boston is going to choose to go a little smaller and opt for more shooting. Pure gut feel but I really think he’s gonna get another 30 minutes and near min price. You don’t get chances like this often in playoff NBA. Take advantage folks.

Power Forwards:

Jayson Tatum, Celtics, $9,800:

We already know the Celtics are without Jaelyn Brown and know Kemba is a true game time decision with a knee issue and Robert Williams is doubtful. I do not know how many of you play basketball or have played but you need that leg drive for your jump shot so even if Kemba plays I do not see him being effective so it’s all on Tatum’s shoulders. He had some duds this series but the situation dictates that you have to play him tonight and he seems to right the ship with a massive 50 real point performance. With no Brown, Williams, and Walker on the court Tatum has a massive 38% usage rate over the last four weeks and I am expecting 30 shots as his minimum tonight.

Kawhi Leonard, Clippers, $9,200:

He is Kawhi, it is the playoffs, and the Mavs can not play defense. I do not need to say anything else. Moving on

Centers:

Tristan Thompson, Celtics, $5,200:

Brooklyn still can’t guard the glass and Triston Thompson has already had two double double’s in this series and he sees a huge 4.9% usage bump and about 10 more DK points without Williams, Brown, and Walker on the court.

Deandre Ayton, Suns, $6,700:

Criminality undervalued still. He should be 7.2K. I have no good reason for this but Ayton is the only big I have seen that has been able to get around all of these giant men that the Lakers have. I have no good answer for it but I’m going to ride the hot hand. You give me a mid priced center that can drop 40+DK and the Lakers and I’m jumping all over this one. He looks like a lock for 20-10 with CP3’s elite ability as a floor general. The fact that he is injured actually increases the opportunities for Ayton as Paul has taken a step back from scoring and his using his elite level passing and intelligence

We have had ourselves a wild couple of weeks but we have seen a lot of success on the tail end of this NBA season. It is without a doubt a roller coaster and not for the faint of heart. But fear not, we have everything you need to help you find success no matter the scenario including our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet. Additionally, you cannot set and forget your lineups at the end of the season so be sure that you stay in our discord so that you can follow the news live as it breaks so you always know the best value pivots to give you the edge to take down your contests. Let us not waste any more time and get into Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.14.

Right now there are two critical components to your build over the last few days of this NBA regular season. Picking the right value (Duh, I know) and targeting studs from teams who still have something to play for. Right now the Wizards and Bull are the only two teams still in the hunt and the Hornets and Pacers could still slide into the 9th and 10th seed for the east and the Warriors and Grizzlies are fighting for the 8th seed in the west. For those of you who don’t know the NBA added a 9th vs 10th seed and will have a “play-in” mini-tournament with the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th seed from each division for a “play-in” tournament. These teams want at least the 8 seed because the 9-10 contest is single elimination where the 8-9 seeds get two chances. Three of these teams play tonight: Washington, Memphis, and Golden State. Additionally, the Mavericks, Trailblazers, and Lakers are all fighting to stay out of the “play-in”

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.14

Point Guard:

Russell Westbrook, Wizards, $12,000:

I don’t care if he is 12.8K I am still in on this until we hit the playoffs. No need for an explanation.

Steph Curry, Warriors, $10,500:

The best perimeter shooter in the NBA against the worst perimeter defense is enough to sell me. But now the Pelicans have nothing to play for and the Warriors are trying to lock down that 8 seed. Keep the injury news in mind here as Steph is questionable tonight.

Ja Morant, Grizzlies, $8,400:

You see the 3rd of my three-point guards on here and you should know what I’m recommending. We just so happen to get the added benefit of the worst defense in the NBA against a reasonably priced Ja Morant. He’s been a little boom-bust all year but I am willing to take a chance here with potentially low ownership considering how poorly he played against the Kings the other night.

Shooting Guard:

Raul Neto, Wizards, $ 4,500:

With no Beal I’m going under the assumption that Neto will get the start next to Westbrook and Russ is like Oprah with the assists right now (you get a bucket, and you get a bucket! sorry). There are a couple of other guys on the Wizards I like but Neto is the only one I’m fairly confident will be in the starting rotation this early.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Pelicans, $6,400:

The Pelicans may be out of it but they have no problems playing spoilers and Alexander-Walker looks like the guy who will be running the show tonight. I don’t like playing Bledsoe simply due to how much he underperforms in smash spots. I’d much rather have the guy who can shoot, rebound, assist, steal, and block. Clearly NAW is that guy. Even in the scenarios his usage is at 24% but with Golden State scoring NAW is gonna need to take over so I would not be surprised to see him surpass 30% usage.

Small Forward:

Luka Doncic, Mavericks, $10,800:

Luka has been a pretty hot mess over the last week or so. Especially after his ejection. You can tell that he has been playing timid but the are trying to stay out of the “play-in” and he needs to step up and take over. Toronto’s top 4 guys are out so I see no reason for him to no go at least 6x or maybe more tonight.

Jae’Sean Tate, Rockers, $6,400:

Far end on the spectrum the Rockets chose to put their young guys in and play thin till the wheels fall off. Great news for us as we get talented and underpriced players for our builds. Tate is a double-double threat any given night and now he gets to attack a Clippers defense who is great “ON PAPER” but can be exploited. What are streams an you will understand why.

Power Forward:

Jaren Jackson Jr, Grizzlies, $5,800 :

Triple J against the Kings backcourt? Sign me up boss, he’s sitting at right around 26% usage, and Memphis cant afford to lose a game right now. My only concern is that he rarely sees over 24 minutes. If we can get a little lucky tonight and get 30 he’s gonna demolish value.

Rui Hachimura, Wizards, $ 4,900:

Without Beal on the court, Rui slides into the teams’ number two option with a 5.3% usage increase at just under 24% and I would really expect that to be a bit higher tonight. Rui has been dealing with nagging injuries all year and is just now getting back to a full allotment of minutes and with the torrid scoring pace the Wizards have been on lately I do not see a scenario where Rui does not take at least 18 shots tonight.

Also Consider: KJ Martin JR: $7,000

Center:

Kelly Olynyk, Rockets, $8,200:

Like I said above I am waiting on Houston news for value but I made an error the other night and I do not want to make it again. We knew Houston had to dress eight guys to play and while Kelly was one of them, I really thought he was “available” and not available until it was too late and he went off. My bust. I know he is $8,100 and that may seem steep but this isn’t a fluke. He really is a good player and always has been. He has just been buried on the Heat depth chart behind guys like Bam and Jimmy. His price just reflects his role and ability now. If the Rockets run the bare minimum rotation again and Kelly is starting, he deserves a look tonight.

Nikola Jokic, Nuggets, $11:000

Blowout risk about here but let is just say it does go nuts and Denver is up 100-70 in the 3rd quarter. How did the get those points? Likely it’s from a triple double from Jokic in three quarters so I’m not scared. Also, a lesser known secret, Detroit beats the spread at home some 70 percent of the time this season. so It may prove closer than expected.

 Also Consider:

Jaxon Hayes: $4,500

As per our trend these last several slates the Rockets still present an interesting target but right now I can’t tell you who’s in or out this early, but they are playing the TrailBlazers so make sure you see what the rotation is going to look like and apply your value appropriately.

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.10

Point Guard:

Russell Westbrook, Wizards, $11,000:

If you need me to explain this one please consider logging off of DraftKings until the NBA season is over.

Trae Young, Hawks, $9,300:

Keeping it simple here. High pace, no defense, and both teams still have something to play for. Hawks could still climb to the 4th seed in the east and the Wizards have the Pacers and Bulls hot on their heels trying to play spoiler. The game totals have been insane for anyone playing the Wizards. 265, 260, 269, 292, and 249 points in the last five and if my memory serves me correctly all were in regulation, no overtime.

Steph Curry, Warriors, $10,500:

I don’t have a great gauge on ownership yet but I think this Utah/Golden State game is an interesting GPP pivot. You get a little late night hammer action in a 230 point total game with the best scorer in the league while everyone will be playing the Wizards/Hawks stack. I rarely target the Jazz but in this scenario with Curry trying to lock down the 8 seed we have high leverage in the making.

Shooting Guard:

Raul Neto, Wizards, $4,500:

With no Beal I’m going under the assumption that Neto will get the start next to Westbrook and Russ is like Oprah with the assists right now (you get a bucket, and you get a bucket! sorry). There are a couple of other guys on the Wizards I like but I Neto is the only one I’m fairly confident will be in the starting rotation this early.

Eric Bledsoe, Pelicans, $5,900:

I really waffled on this one. Bledsoe has a knack for disappointing you in situations where he should shine. I’m taking some liberties here so be ready to run away from this one. Ingram and Hart have Q-tags and Nickeil Alexander Walker is on the second leg of a back-to-back and just came back from an ankle injury. In this very specific scenario with Zion out and if Hart, NAW, and Ingram all sit out Bledsoe sees a 4.4% usage increase and as we saw last night, he has 50 DK point upside. If the stars do not align here, I would recommend staying away.

Also Consider:

Lonnie Walker IV: $4,200

Daquan Jeffries: $4,400

Small Forward:

Bojan Bogdanovic, Jazz, $6,600: (BOJAN= JAZZ, BOGDAN=HAWKS)

Going back to the well. Last week I recommended Bojan and if you listened you got him at sub 3% ownership as he took 22 shots and went off for 47 DK points. He always seems to be an afterthought and if you’re telling me, I can get guy who gets an almost 6% usage increase at 5-ish percent against a Warriors team that is fighting for an 8 seed I think it is a no brainer.

I need a little more info when it comes to small forward so I’m just sticking with Bojan for the moment. Hop in discord, watch the stream, and check the model before tip for the value here.

Power Forward:

Domantas Sabonis, Pacers, $10,600:

I need to put a little disclaimer here. The Pacers are currently the 10 seed so it is clear that they have plenty to play for. The Cavs however…..do not. They have been getting the snot beat out of them by 20, 30, 40 points night in and night out. I have the utmost confidence in Sabonis but we may only get three quarters of him.

Rui Hachimura, Wizards, $4,900:

Without Beal on the court, Rui slides into the teams’ number two option with a 5.3% usage increase at just under 24% and I would really expect that to be a bit higher tonight. Rui has been dealing with nagging injuries all year and is just now getting back to a full allotment of minutes and with the torrid scoring pace the Wizards have been on lately I do not see a scenario where Rui does not take at least 18 shots tonight.

Also Consider:

KJ Martin Jr: $6,200

Center:

Kelly Olynyk, Rockets, $8,100:

Clint Capella, Hawks, $8,400:

It’s going to be tough but I’m going to try and run at least one full blown game stack with this Hawks/Wizards game. The Wizards have zero interior defense so Capela is in there for me. If you tell me that I can get 36 minutes from Clint tonight I’ll tell you that he gives you no less than 50 DK points.

 Also Consider:

Jaxon Hayes: $4,500

Ah the joys of end of season NBA. The swings are dramatic, and the value is constantly changing. In two of the last three slates, we have seen winning score more than 430 points than last night 365 point won you 100 thousand dollars. It is without a doubt a roller coaster and not for the faint of heart. But fear not, we have everything you need to help you find success no matter the scenario including our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet. Additionally, you cannot set and forget your lineups so be sure that up to and through first tip you are in our discord so that you can follow the news live as it breaks so you always know the best value pivots to give you the edge to take down your contests. Let us not waste any more time and get into Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.7.

***Note***You will likely NEED multiple Lakers and Rockets tonight.

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.7

Point Guard: Can I write up Westbrook?

Damian Lillard, TrailBlazers, $9,700:

Damian Lillard, TrailBlazers, $9,700:

Fewer things are more guaranteed than Lillard turning into a monster at the end of a season. Portland always seems to just barely sneak into the playoffs, and it is always on the back of Dame shooting close to 30 shots a night. Slightly different scenario with 10 teams getting in but the Blazers are in the 7th seed but with a little luck can get into the 5th seed, so I am expecting Dame to go into playoff mode soon. Additionally, from a leverage standpoint I am expecting less experienced players to stay away from the Lakers defense without not considering that LeBron, AD, and Dennis are all out of the picture.

Armoni Brooks, Heat, $3,900:

Will the Rockets even have enough guys active to play tonight? With eight guys already listed out and five others questionable or doubtful they could potentially have only five or six players to suit up. Because of that I do not care about the blowout risk or who they are playing. Be ready to play multiple Rockets tonight based on news.

Also Consider:

Lamelo Ball

Colin Sexton

Shooting Guard:

Evan Fournier, $5,400, Celtics:

Eww, that is all I am gonna say. I do not like putting Evan in any of my articles, but it makes sense. In 4 of 5 games, he has exceeded more that 30 minutes and has taken double digit shots in three of five. While that is not great, he has been surprisingly been giving you some ancillary stats with 4-5 rebounds and assists, as well as a couple of steals. He maxes out at about 35 DK points in terms of ceiling, but he has been fairly consistent lately.

R.J. Hampton, Magic, $5,100:

His price is climbing but I really do not care. He is playing over 30 minutes a game, taken 14 shots in two of his last three and given you peripheral stats in every category and given you at least a 20% usage rate in the last four. Magic have nine guys listed out currently and I would not be surprised if that list grew.

Also Consider:

Seth Curry

Anthony Edwards

Delon Wright (If Fox and Barnes sit)

Small Forward:

Demar Derozan, Spurs, $8,600:

I rarely if ever put Demar in my articles but tonight I am not really “in love” with many of the spots our 10K studs are sans Vucevic so I am creeping down into the mid-range a bit. Going back to games where Demar plays against weak perimeter defenses (Wizards, Celtics, Hawks, Kings, Pelicans, Rockets, Trailblazers) he has a usage rate of around 34%, takes around 23 shots per game, and regularly finds himself over 50 DK points by the end of the night.

Anthony Lamb, Rockets, $3,400:

Don’t feel like repeating myself. Rockets are a triage unit. He might play 40 minutes.

Also consider:

Luka Doncic

Power Forward:

Kyle Kuzma, Lakers, $5,600 :

With all of the primary guys sitting it is Drummond and Kuzma running the show from a usage perspective and as I will list below while I love Drummond’s price, he does present some risk. Kuzma in these scenarios has a massive 7.1% increase in usage (28.3% total) and Portland has the 31st ranked defense in the NBA behind only the Kings.

KJ Martin Jr, Rockets, $4,700:

I already told you how many rockets are out so I will just emphasis this again. I do not care if they get blown out by 40 (and they might) I am playing multiple Rockets. I am just waiting to hear which guy with the Q tag sit so I know which value I end up running out there.

Also Consider:

Giannis Antetokounmpo: I am concerned with blowout for the Milwaukee plays. Waiting to see if anyone sits.

Center:

Andre Drummond, Lakers, $6,900:

No Lebron, no AD, and no Schroder and he gets Portland in the late-night hammer. My main concern with Drummond is not the matchup, it is his play style. While he sees an 8.6% usage increase with those three out in seven of his last ten games he has ended up in foul trouble and ended up playing low to mid 20’s minutes. He is high on my radar, but I may go with cheaper Lakers if I feel the foul troubles will continue.

Nikola Vucevic, Bulls, $10,400:

Who do the Celtics have that can stop Nikola under the glass? Do not look the answer is nobody even when healthy. Now we have Robert Williams questionable and Tristan Thompson coming off a chest injury and ask yourself: How high is his ceiling tonight? With the value tonight we have plenty of salary available for multiple 10K guys tonight if you are going stars and scrubs and Vuc is at the top of my list.

Also Consider:

Jusuf Nurkic

Montrezl Harrell: If you think Drummond continues his foul trouble Harrell should be your guy. (5.1% usage bump)

Bonus NBA anyone? Looks like I get the opportunity to run it back on a 10 game Saturday slate. Believe it or not, NBA DFS gets even crazier towards the end of the regular season. Rest assured we’ll find you the best options to keep you above the cash line. We have a number of 10K and above players so we’ll need to get creative on the low end so don’t forget to check out our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet all the way till lock for the latest and most accurate information when it comes to value plays!

***Note***We typically don’t put value plays in the articles as things always change at the last minute so you’ll need to be on discord when news break so you can pivot.

Teams with potential injury news (multiple Q tags):

Detroit, Golden State, Atlanta, Orlando, Indiana, Dallas,

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 5.1

Point Guard:

Luka Doncic, Mavericks, $10,900:

If this matchup doesn’t get you excited nothing will. We get one of the most NBA’s most prolific all around offensive weapon against a Wizards team who leads the NBA in pace and is mediocre at best defensively.

Steph Curry, Warriors, $10,600:

I know I’m being captain obvious here with my first two recommendations but can you blame me? No need for me to go deep into analytics with these first two. You know what they bring to the table and the matchups are two of the best on the evening.

Frank Campazzo, Nuggets, $4,800:

Ghost says it day in and day out. You play primary ball handlers against the Clippers, PERIOD. with Jamal Murray out for the season it’s Frank the tanks team to lead from point guard and DraftKings hasn’t adjusted his price enough to reflect his new role. In the last nine games, he has played no less than 26 minutes and he has plenty of weapons to facilitate with Jokic, Gordon, and Porter Jr on the court. I’m going on faith a little here with such a small sample but attacking the Clippers in this way rarely fails.

Also Consider:

Kevin Porter Jr: $7,400

Shooting Guard:

Jordan Clarkson, Jazz, $7,500:

No Donovan Mitchell or Mike Conley so the point guard duties fall firmly on the shoulders of Clarkson tonight. With a 227 total and Clarkson 30.5% usage sans those two on the court, he’s going to get every opportunity to put points on the board. I may opt to go with a cheaper option to save a little salary but Jordan is looking at potentially 40 minutes on the court so it’s hard to not look at him. If I decide to run a couple of balanced lineups tonight he’s 100% going to be in there for me.

Deangelo Russell, Timberwolves, $6,900:

Perimeter shooting against the Pelicans, that is all.

Also Consider:

Josh Jackson: $6,000

Svi Mykhailiuk: $3,400

Small Forward:

Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves, $7,400 :

I remember distinctly talking to our guy Michael Rasille on a Wednesday night podcast about two months ago when Minnesota was facing off against the Pelicans and we couldn’t figure out who in the hell was gonna take the perimeter shots where they are exploitable. My how times have changed. It’s almost a given he takes 20 shots tonight and most of them will be from the outside. If his shots are falling his bump in rebounds lately (nine boards in the three of his last four) gives him a ceiling north of 50 DK points tonight.

Oshae Brissett, Indiana Pacers, $5,700:

His price keeps climbing but it’s still not where it should be for the results. In his last five games he’s played no less than 31 minutes and has done no worse than 5x his salary. This play becomes largely worthless if the Pacers choose to bring back Domantas Sabonis tonight so be aware of the starting rotation before you lock him in. If it all works out I like the sneaky upside this game gives you on a large slate.

Also consider:

Kent Bazemore, Warriors, $4,600

Power Forward:

Darius Bazley, Thunder, $6,700:

Steady eddie lately. Bazely has been quietly giving you between 6x-7x return in six of the last eight contests and Detroit doesn’t scare me in the least. No matter what the scenario or score his minutes stay above 30 minutes and he’s taking around 15 shots a game with between 25 and 30% usage. He’s been a mainstay in my lineups when hunting for mid-range options.

Bojan Bogdanovic, Jazz, $6,600:

It may surprise some of you but it isn’t Jordan Clarkson who sees the biggest uptick in usage and fantasy points when Conley and Mitchell are off the court. It’s Bojan. His usage spikes by 5.2% to 27.2% and he comes in $600 cheaper than Joe Ingles and $900 less than Jordan which will be needed tonight if you’re trying to get multiple 10K studs like me tonight.

Also Consider:

Dorian Finney Smith (If Maxi or Kristaps sit): $5,000

Miles Bridges: $7,300

Center:

Christian Wood, Rockets, $8,700:

His pricing has been off all season. Night after night he gives you 50+ DK point upside and I don’t recall his price ever getting to 9K at any point. Since Harden and Boogie the Rockets have also climbed to one of the highest paced teams in the NBA sitting around 5th and we all know how fast the Warriors like to play. Throw in the 25% usage rate and the lack of interior size for Golden State the ole ding-ding kicker himself Draymond Green dealing with an injury he should be able to have a field day today.

Nikola Jokic, Nuggets, $10,900:

I’m throwing Jokic in here for obvious reasons. With no Murray or Barton, Nikola gets to soak up even more than his typical 29% usage rate and I’ll be completely honest, I’ve never been a Boogie Cousins fan and now that he’s older and slower I don’t think can do anything to stop Joker from running circles around him.

Also Consider:

I’m waiting for injury news here. I’m not really enamoured with most of the options at this point.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am thrilled to say I’m back in the saddle for NBA action going forward every Friday and I’m ready to help you all put some cash in your wallet down the home stretch of the NBA season. We have a ton of big-name guys already out. One clear game that you will see a lot of attention paid to is Portland against Brooklyn with a 241.5 total and a 1 point spread. No other contest in close. Don’t forget to check out our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet all the way till lock for the latest and most accurate information when it comes to value plays! Enough yammering, you came for plays. Let’s get into Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown for 4.30.

***Note*** Make sure you use the projection model to get value close to tip. We don’t put value plays in the articles as things always change at the last minute so you need to be on discord when news break so you can pivot.

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 4.30

Point Guard:

Damian Lillard, Trail Blazers, $9,200:

All signs point to Lillard having a monster performance. We have the slowest spread and the highest total game and not a shred of defense to be found between either team. Lillard has had some down games as of late but we have to keep a short memory in DFS. The important thing is that his shot volume is still there. Aside from his last two games he’s tossing up 20+ shots a game. If they start falling instead of 35 DK points you’re looking at 65 DK points. Just be patient.

Kyrie Irving, Nets, $9,400:

No need to repeat the same thing about the game. I honestly don’t know if they will play KD after playing 36 minutes last night. Weather or not he suits up I’m still looking at Kyrie Irving in my main lineup. With Harden still sidelines Irving is taking around 20 shots per game and I’m pleasantly surprised to see him channeling his inner Russell Westbrook and collecting at least 8 rebounds in five of six games.

Also Consider:

Russell Wesbrook: $11,000

Ja Morant: $8,500

Ben Simmons: $7,500 (If not on minutes restriction)

Shooting Guard:

C.J.McCollum:

ALL THE NETS AND BLAZERS!!!!. I wouldn’t recommend it in cash but in my GPP’s I’m likely going to have four guys from this game in my lineup, maybe six if the value allows it. CJ is in a similar DFS funk like his teammate Dame but there is not a better get right spot than tonight. Shot volume is still there and his FG percentage is still decent he’s just lacking from the assists and rebounds side of things. If dames shots start falling it’s almost a given we’ll see CJ’s assists climb as a benefit.

Jrue Holiday, Bucks, $7,800:

I don’t have any expectations that Giannis will see the court after leaving last night with an ankle injury. Whenever the Greek Freak is off the court Jrue sees a 5% usage increase and more than nine DK points per 48 minutes. It looks like Vegas sees the same thing as the Bucks when from 5 point favorites at open to just one point favorites now

Also Consider:

right now I’m waiting on value news to come out.

Small Forward:

Khris Middleton, Bucks, $7,900:

Everything I said about Jrue applies here and in this instance, Middleton’s usage sees an even larger 6.7% usage increase while scoring 8.57 more fantasy points per 48 minutes without Giannis. Both guys make for great mid range options.

Bradley Beal, Wizards, $9,800:

Bradley Beal is STILL the NBA’s leading scorer averaging 31.3 points per game and they continue to price him under 10K. The reason I prefer Beal over Westy tonight is pretty simple. Rus turns the ball over way too much and Cleveland is one of the best in the league when it comes to steals. Currently, they are 8th with over 8 steals a game. Given Westbrooks bad habit they’ll get more than that and I see Beal taking the lead role at least for tonight and being the primary option all around.

Also consider:

Kyle Kuzma: $6,100

Power Forward:

Kevin Durant $8,900

Everything I’ve been mentioning in the entire article applies here. My only hint of concern here is that he just played 36 minutes last night so they may choose to sit Durant as he’s still coming back from a lengthy injury. He’s not someone I should need to explain. If he plays he’s KD and he’s under 9 K in a 241 total game. You play him.

Danillo Gallinari, Hawks, $5,300 :

A lot of things need to break right but to this point the following Hawks are out: Huerter, Hunter, Reddish, Snell. The following Hawks are also are questionable or doubtful: Trae Young, Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic. When forced into a position to take on a lead role he has shown that he can do it in short bursts. Earlier this year against Boston when put in a similar position he scored 38 real world points and broke the slate at almost no ownership. We need to see a at minimum Capella to be out to take a shot at him but we’ll see.

Also Consider:

Jeff Green: $4,800

Tobias Harris: $7,100

Center:

Andre Drummond, Lakers, $7,500

With no Lebron and potentially no AD the offense runs through Drummond against the weakest defensive team in the NBA in the Kings. No tell me that you are giving me this at $7500? Yes please. Drummond can legitimately give you 20 and 20 tonight without breaking a sweat.

Jusuf Nurkic, Blazers, $7,100:

High paced, no defense, a 241 total, and Nurkic is a point per minute monster at 1.25 ppm. There is nobody on Brooklyn who can slow him down, much less stop him. My only concern is time. Will he play 20 minutes or 30? If it looks like 30 I’m all in tonight.

Also Consider:

Joel Embiid: $10,200

Jonas Valanciunas: $7,700

Ladies and gentlemen, I am thrilled to say I’m back in the saddle for NBA action going forward every Friday and I’m ready to help you all put some cash in your wallet down the home stretch of the NBA season. This is a point guard rich environment tonight and there are several key players expected to miss the games this evening so don’t forget to check out our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet all the way till lock for the latest and most accurate information when it comes to value plays! Enough yammering, you came for plays. Let’s get into Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown for 4.23.

Stoweby’s NBA Breakdown For 4.23

Point Guard:

Russell Westbrook, Wizards, $11,000:

If you can get there Westy has been on a tear lately giving you nine triple-doubles in the last ten games with no less than 55.75 DK points during that stretch with a usage rate of around 33% during that stretch. His shooting percentage is still terrible but that really hasn’t done anything to slow him down and against a Thunder team who is top seven in pace and bottom seven in defensive efficiency I see no reason that he will take a step back tonight.

Ja Morant, Grizzlies, $7,200:

My first instinct was to see if Jonas Valanciunas was going to be a go for this one but sadly he is still dealing with lingering concussion issues but Ja’s usage jumps 2.6% without JoVal on the floor to just over 30%. Portland is garbage defensively, there is no other word for it. Aside from the Kings, there is no one worse. If I can fit it tonight a looking at leaning heavily on this contest for a little late-night hammer action.

John Wall, Rockets, $7,500:

If you don’t know what I am about to say you are either new, in which case welcome, or you have not been listening to us at all during the season in which case I say you aren’t doing DFS correctly. You play primary ball handlers against the Clippers, period. Only concern is a blowout but the Rockets are down to potentially Wall and Armoni Brooks so I think the minutes are safe.

Also Consider:

Goran Dragic or Kendrick Nunn (If Tyler Herro is out): $5,000 and $5,100 respectively.

Steph Curry: $10,300

Kyrie Irving: $10,100

Damian Lillard: $9,500

Theo Maledon: $5,200

Kemba Walker: $7,500

Shooting Guard:

Lou Williams, Hawks, $4,300:

I’m kind of guess here so I’ll need a little bit of confirmation later in the day but with Trae Young expected to miss the several games with an ankle sprain I’m expecting the Hawks to lean on Sweet Lou’s scoring ability. I don’t really have a great sample size to give you here but it should stay close enough that he will get plenty of minutes to pay off the cheap price. Keep an eye on news with this one.

Bradley Beal, Wizards, $9,600:

Overshadowed by Westy’s triple-double run he is on is the NBA’s number two scorer on the season Bradley Beal with a sub 10K price tag. While everyone is tailing Russ’s performance I may ultimately opt to find some savings in terms of price and ownership and stick with guy who is benefiting from the 14-15 assists Westy is dishing out a game right now. Oh, almost forgot, he’s small forward eligible on DK (I don’t know why). SF is really thin tonight so consider taking advantage here.

Also Consider:

CJ McCollum: $8,600

Marcus Smart: $6,900

Paul George: $9,600

Svi Mykhailiuk: $3,800

Small Forward:

Jimmy Butler, Heat, $9,700:

I really don’t like the point total of 215 with this game but the Hawks can’t guard anybody and Dipo is out yet again with that lingering knee issue and Tyler Herro looks to be a true game time decision so Jimmy will need to handle his business from both sides of the court tonight. I may back off of this in lieu of cheaper options as value opens up but to this point Butler is in a good position tonight

Kenrich Williams, Thunder, $4,900

If you’re trusting the 230 game total you have to find someone on the Thunder side to run back. With no SGA or possibly Luguentz Dort out and how thin small forward is tonight, he should be on the radar. I’m likely gonna find myself more on Beal at SF and running Svi at SG but Williams is sporting a decent usage of around 18% over the last handful of games and he took advantage of the higher pace against the Wizards a few days ago and scored 28.25 DK points so there are worse options out there.

Also consider:

Jae’Sean Tate: $6,200

Kevin Huerter: $5,800

Keep an eye on value opening up here tonight, I’m not “in love” with anyone to this point tonight here.

Power Forward:

Jason Tatum, Celtics, $10,000

A 232 game total and a depleted Brooklyn defense that was never good even when healthy and the potential of Jaylen Brown missing tonight and point Tatum feels like a smash spot in the making. I love that DraftKings does weird things like putting Tatum as a power forward. It makes no sense but I’ll be happy to take another primary ball-handler at PF. When Brown sits Tatum sees a massive 4.7% increase in usage to over 35%! He has the potential to be the top scorer on the evening so don’t forget about him tonight.

Jason Tatum again: Ok fine I’ll add another one.
Darius Bazley, Thunder, $6,200:

As I already mentioned I’m liking a lot of pieces in this contest. With no SGA and a 230 total, there is a ton of usage to go around for the rest of these mid-low prices Thunder players and Bazley sees a usage increase of 4.5% when SGA and Dort are off of the floor and he has given you right at 40 DK points in each of the last two with Dort off of the floor.

Also Consider:

John Collins (If Capella sits): $6,800

Jeff Green (If Durant sits): $4,800

Center:

Christian Wood, Rockets, $8,200:

Love this guy’s talent and now that he is playing his full allotment of minutes on an almost nightly bases he is hard to ignore at 8.2K. We will need to keep an eye on injury news for Houston to verify but I don’t think they’ll be able to sit him much no matter the score with as many as 7 guys on the Rocket’s roster missing tonight. I’m in no way worried about Ivica Zubac’s defense from the Clippers and I would be surprised if Boogie pulls a Boogie and get’s himself ejected against his old team without making an impact. All signs point to another 50+ DK point performance for Wood tonight.

Daniel Gafford, Wizards, $3,800:

Still way too cheap for the production he’s been giving you even when he is only getting 16 minutes. If he gets anywhere near the mid-20’s you’re talking 30 DK ponts at minimum. With a usage rate averaging near 23% over the last seven games and the already discussed pace and Thunder defense if we can get any idea on minutes his value is fantastic.

Also Consider:

Nikola Jokic: $10,900

Jusuf Nurkic: $5,200

Bam Adebayo: $8,200

I know we were only off for a couple of months but it still feels like it has been forever and I’m incredibly excited to get back to the NBA grind. We didn’t have a cash article on the two game slate but this 13 gamer is perfect to get us started when it comes to building your bankroll over the 72 game season. We all enjoy playing the NFL but the NBA for me has created the largest runs in terms of profits night after night. Every single night you have an opportunity to grow your profits and put yourself into position to be successful over the long term. Especially for this Cash Game NBA Breakdown for 12.23! And don’t forget to check out our NBA Projection Model and Cheat Sheet to lock in the best of them!

Since this is a large slate one thing you’ll need to do is plant your flags on certain games. Unless you have a min priced lock play in a low scoring game you want to focus on the highest totals with lower spreads and build your core that way. Enough minutia though let’s get into my Cash Game NBA Breakdown for 12.23.

There are games I will focus my attention on in cash. By no means is this list comprehensive given the size of the slate so if you don’t see player on here that doesn’t mean that you should fade that player. These are just the spots that I have chosen to focus my attention on in my cash contests. Additionally, we want to build our NBA cash lines the same way that we do NFL cash lineups. Try to limit full game stacks and do not worry about high ownership. You can run multiple players from the same games but try to avoid “game stacks” or where the majority of your build revolves around one contest.

New Orleans Pelicans @ “Florida” Toronto Raptors: 229.5 Total/Raptors -5
Atlanta Hawks @ Chicago Bulls: 231.5 Total/Hawks -2
San Antonio Spurs @ Memphis Grizzlies: 231.5 Total/Grizzlies -2
Utah Jazz @ Portland Trail Blazers: 229 Total/Blazers -1
Dallas Mavericks @ Pheonix Suns: 237 Total/Suns -1

One thing you’ll notice these first couple of weeks is that I will largely avoid the deep analytics. I’ll be relying on totals, rotations, and potential value spots based on mispricing based on injuries and bias that I think we’ll see in favor of teams that played in the bubble (it seems to have affected DraftKings algorithm a bit as well).

Cash Game NBA Breakdown For 12.23: Studs (Above 8K)

Luka Doncic, Mavericks, PG, $10,000(DK):

This is a steep price tag for a season opener but one, it’s Luka. Two, he’s playing the Suns. Three, he’s in the highest total game of the night. Finally, he’s opening the season without Kristaps Porzingis on the court. Even at 10K he is underpriced. He would be 12k in this scenario if we were in the middle of the season.

Trae Young, Hawks, PG, $9,400(DK):

Another high usage stud player in a smash spot is Trae Young. He had a couple of hiccups due to injury last season but when he was healthy he was a monster from a point per minute standpoint and his usage rate was only rivaled by Luka, Giannis, and Santa…I mean James Harden (Sorry, I get the two fat bearded guys in red mixed up this time of year.) We have ourselves a pace up scenario, with an improved/healthy Bulls team with a low spread and a 231.5 point implied total making this a prime spot for Trae.

Cash Game NBA Breakdown For 12.23: Mid-Priced (Between 5-8K)

Zach Lavine, Bulls, SG, $7,900:

I can pretty much copy and paste much of what I said about Trae Young with Zach Lavine but I can say it with a $1,500 dollar discount. Bulls should be much improved being a year older and in much better health. I’ll be attacking this game from many different ways in my GPP builds. Levine regularly exceeded 50 DK points last season even with a variety of injuries slowing him down last year.

Donovan Mitchell, Jazz, PG/SG, $8,000(DK):

The entire Jazz team is underpriced. The pace of this game should be one of the highest on the night. Utah was 9th in pace last year and with Hassan no longer in Portland, they should have an increase from their already decent 16th fastest pace (pace quickened in the bubble but I don’t know if that will stand). Mitchell finished the season with a usage rate of over 30% and came out of the gate playing 34 minutes or more in five of the first six. He also took at least 21 shots in three of four. He’s not shy in any way in the early going. I’ll be a little lighter with him in cash due to his hot/cold nature shooting. If I choose to run two cash lines today, he’ll be in the second given his multiple 60+ DK point outings to finish up last year.

Cash Game NBA Breakdown For 12.23: Value

Hassan Whiteside, Kings, C, $3,800(DK):

Hassan has outplayed Richaun Holmes in every way in this preseason and looks motivated to prove he isn’t a bust after being dealt to the Kings. He finished one rebound shy of a double double in two contests in limited minutes during the preseason. If he gets the starting nod he’ll certainly be the highest owned value play of the evening. He’s had a reasonable amount of success over his career against Jokic averaging over 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 11 games. With pricing this disrespectful he only needs half of that to hit cash value on DK.

Lauri Markkanen, Bulls, PF, $4,800(DK):

One injury riddled season and the DFS sites have forgotten that Lauri was christened the Unicorn 2.0 upon entering last season. When healthy, Markkanen played over 30 minutes a game and finished with over 40 DK points in 6 of with first 11 games last season. He’s already playing over 25 minutes in preseason outings with no signs of injury slowing him down. I don’t need to go too in depth as we’ve already discussed the total and pace of this game. He should be a core value piece in your builds tonight.
