Oakland Athletics

The Orioleswill be starting Josh Rogers on Wednesday. Although it is an extremely smallsample size, it is safe that the Baltimore starter is a dumpster fire. In eightinnings this season he has a 6.72 SIERA and a 7.93 xFIP. He is allowing a 46.7%flyball rate and has an extremely low 5.4% K-rate. And if you need furtherevidence that Rogers has been awful in limited action this season, the hurlerhas allowed a 53.3% hard contact rate and a 3.38 HR/9 in 2019.

In his first outing of the season, Rogers was lit up by Oakland. He allowed five earned runs while recording just 11 outs. Look for more of the same this go-’round. The Athletics’ offense has crushed southpaws in 2019. They have a .225 ISO and a .355 wOBA collectively against left-handed pitching. You will want to go four deep with this stack.

Los Angeles Angels

The Angels’ offense as a whole is seeing beach balls at the plate right now. Over the last seven days, Los Angeles has a .249 ISO and a .341 wOBA. During that span they have 12 home runs and 34 runs scored.

A matchupwith Toronto’s Aaron Sanchez should do little to slow down this Angels’ hotstreak. He has a 5.32 SIERA and a 5.19 xFIP on the season. And over his last 15innings pitched Sanchez has been even worse. In that time on the mound he hasallowed a .311/.397/.557 slash line. Expect the Angels to produce big again onWednesday.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Giants’Drew Pomeranz is allowing 2.02 HR/9 in 2019. That number may actually increaseon Wednesday as the Dodgers’ bats flex their muscles against southpaws. LosAngeles has four batters with ISOs over .200 against left-handed pitching thisseason.

Game Stack Special

You will want to get a lineup chalked full of Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers on Wednesday. This game stack is likely to go off in a big way as both scheduled pitchers are struggling in the worst of ways. The Indians’ Adam Pluko is allowing a 50.7% flyball rate which has resulted in the starter allowing a 3.09 HR/9. The Rangers’ Joe Palumbo has allowed a 42.9% flyball rate and a 2.25 HR/9 ratio.

It’s an unusually large (for a Monday) MLB slate with 12 games on tap. Games in CIN, WSH, NYY and ATL all have some rain concerns.

Upper-Tier Arm

Jose Berrios, Red Sox at Twins ($9,600 FD, $10,300 DK): There is not a ton in the way of expensive pitchers that I really love on this slate. Soroka is coming off his worst start of the season and will be pitching in a park with weather that greatly favors offense, Castillo is due for a regression and like Soroka faces weather issues and a park that will not do him any favors, Clevinger is making his first MLB start in a long time and Corbin is on a three-game losing streak. So that leaves Berrios against a suddenly resurgent Red Sox team and offense (a trip to Camden can do wonders). He is GPP-only and let’s get our cash pitchers at a reduced price to spend on bats.

Middle-Tier Arms

Kenta Maeda, Giants at Dodgers ($8,600 FD, $9,000 DK): Maeda will likely be the biggest favorite in Vegas as the NL-leading Dodgers take on a bad Giants team that is 26th in ISO vs. righties (.158), strikes out the 11th most frequently (23.5%) and their wOBA ranks 27th at .289. Maeda’s last start was a strange one in Anaheim, where he gave up five-runs and 36-pitches during the first inning of the game, then didn’t allow a hit to 13 consecutive batters. Manager Dave Roberts said Maeda needs to be more aggressive with his fastball so that change could come in this start. He could be my cash game pitcher on either site.

Lance Lynn, Indians at Rangers ($9,300 FD, $9,500 DK): Much like teammate Mike Minor, ex-Ranger Martin Perez and a few other veteran pitchers around the league, Lynn is in the midst of a resurgent season. Lynn has a 3.39 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP over his last nine starts. He is 4-0 with a 4.91 ERA in six home starts, a park that is notoriously one of the tougher venues to pitch in across all of MLB. His 9.73 strikeouts per nine innings currently ranks 17th best in the A.L. In his previous two career starts against the Indians, he is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA. To me, it is between Lynn and Maeda as my cash pitchers with Maeda’s discount, weaker opponent (not that the Indians are the ’27 Yankees, don’t get me wrong), pitching without a DH and better park to work in making me lean towards Maeda. In favor towards Lynn is that Dave Roberts’ quick hook could allow Lynn to go deeper in the game than Maeda.

Bargain Basement Arm

Miles Mikolas, Marlins at Cardinals ($7,000 FD, $6,400 DK): One of the better pitchers in the NL in 2018 has fallen upon hard times in 2019. This has resulted in a DEEP discount in his pricing on both sites. This is a GPP-only pick because of his struggles this season. In his last seven appearances, Mikolas is 1-5 with a 4.93 ERA. He lasted just five innings in the Cardinals’ 9-0 loss to this same Marlins team last Wednesday, giving up eight hits and a grand slam. One thing Mikolas has going for him is that he has been much better at home this season, with a 2.87 ERA and .204 batting average against as compared to 7.76 and .346, respectively, on the road. At home, he has given up a very respectable five home runs in 47 innings, while on the road he has allowed nine in 31.1 innings.

Top Stacks

New York Yankees:

It seems like you always want to try to get as many Yankees’ bats into your DFS lineups as you can. Today is no different, especially with the White Sox’s Odrisamer Despaigne on the bump. The Chicago right-hander has a 7.15 SIERA in six innings pitched in 2019. Things surely are set up for the Yankees’ offense to succeed on Sunday.

Boston Red Sox:

John Means could be in for a long one here. The Orioles’ starter has a 4.96 xFIP and a 4.51 SIERA this season. And now he faces a hot Boston offense that has a .241 ISO  and a .350 wOBA over the last seven days. Means should be in trouble early and often here so stack up all the Red Sox that you can.

Minnesota Twins:

The Royals’ Jakob Junis is a guy we want to attack today. He has a 5.35 ERA to go along with 42.9 hard contact rate. But equally important is the fact that the Twins have crushed right-handed pitching all season. As an offense, Minnesota has a .248 ISO against righties.

Value Stacks

Miami Marlins:

The Pirates’ Chris Archer is having a disastorous season. He is allowing a flyball rate of 39.8% and those flyballs are getting hit hard. He has a 43.4% hard contact rate. He is allowing 2.41 HR/9 this season. The Marlins may not be the most intimidating offense, but with their highest priced starter on FanDuel coming in at just $3,200, Miami is in play on Sunday.

Baltimore Orioles:

Brian Johnson has struggled in his brief time in the Majors. He has accumulated a 12.71 ERA and 6.03 xFIP. Johnson also has a 55% flyball rate as well as a 55% hard contact rate. The Orioles are not priced accordingly so take advantage of some value on Sunday.

Minnesota Twins

If you areplaying the early or all-day slates, you will want to be sure to get someexposure to the Twins. Minnesota has demonstrated an ability to hit the longball against lefties this season. As an offense they have a .212 ISO and a .373wOBA versus southpaws. Their success against lefties should continue today atthe expense of Yusei Kikuchi.

The Seattle starter is allowing a .348 wOBA to righties this season.  And the best righty stick on the Twins belongs to Nelson Cruz (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,800). The slugger has a .424 ISO and a .443 wOBA against lefties this season.

There are a good number of options to pair with Cruz that will make for a dangerous stack. C.J. Cron (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,600) owns a .404 ISO versus lefties. Miguel Sano (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,300), Mitch Garver (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $5,200), Bryon Buxton (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,400) and Ehire Adrianza (FanDuel: $2,200 DraftKings: $3,300) all have ISOs greater than .220 against southpaws this season.

The Minnesotaoffense has all the makings of a DFS winner on Thursday.

Colorado Rockies

The San Diego Padres will be activating Matt Strahm from the IL in time to make the start on Thursday. This is very good news for the Rockies’ sluggers. Strahm owns a 42.3% flyball rate. Not only does he allow a bunch of flyballs, the Padres’ starter has a 47.2% hard contact rate. A flyball pitcher that gets hit hard will be starting in Colorado, what could go wrong?

Plan on a lot going wrong for the Padres’ southpaw. The Rockies should do plenty of damage against Strahm. And that damage is likely to come from Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,800 DraftKings: $5,600). The third baseman has punished lefties all season with a .391 ISO and a .467 wOBA versus them. Our projections really like Arenado as well. Click here to sign up for our gold premium package that includes the projections, Slack channel access and much more.

And Arenadoisn’t alone when it comes to giving lefties a tough time. Ian Desmond (FanDuel:$3,600 DraftKings: $4,400), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,300),Charlie Blackmon (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,800) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel:$2,700 DraftKings: $3,600) all have ISOs above .200 versus lefties this season.

The Rockies’ offense will be popular today and deservedly so.

New York Yankees

The ChicagoWhite Sox’s Ivan Nova enters play today with the highest ERA of any startingpitcher for Thursday. The best part about picking on Nova is that he hasstruggled against both sides of the plate. He is allowing a .357 wOBA torighties, while surrendering a .406 wOBA to lefties.

So feel free to pick any Yankees for your Daily Fantasy lineups. But you most likely will want to start that New York build with Gary Sanchez (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,500). The catcher has a .392 ISO and a .413 wOBA versus righties this season.

Othertargets for the Bronx Bombers stack include: Gleyber Torres (FanDuel: $3,600DraftKings: $4,600), Aaron Hicks (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,800), LukeVoit (FanDuel: $ DraftKings: $5,100), Brett Gardner (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,300) and Clint Frazier (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,400).Each of these Yankees have ISOs over .235 against righties this season.

Value Stacks: Toronto Blue Jays (FanDuel), ArizonaDiamondbacks (FanDuel), San Diego Padres (DraftKings)

Chicago Cubs

The ColoradoRockies’ Antonio Senzatela is struggling this season with a slate high 5.43SIERA. The Rockies’ right-hander is producing just a 16.29% whiff rate and willbe pitching in hitter-friendly Coors Field tonight. Senzatela has particularlystruggled with lefties this season with a .416 wOBA and a 1.93 HR/9 allowed tothem.

So, start your Cubs stack with Anthony Rizzo (FanDuel: $4,700, DraftKings: $5,600). The power hitting left-handed first baseman has a .301 ISO and a .418 wOBA versus righties this season. But also consider that Senzatela is primarily a fastball pitcher as he has thrown that pitch on 64.6% of the time. That also plays into Rizzo’s strong suit. The first baseman has a .315 ISO this season against the fastball.

Otherleft-handed bats to consider are: Kyle Schwarber (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings:$5,000) and Carlos Gonzalez (FanDuel: $3,300, DraftKings: $3,300). Both outfieldershave ISOs greater than .220 against righties this season.

Of course, you can pick from some of the right-handed sticks as well as Kris Bryant (FanDuel: $4,500, DraftKings: $5,500), Javy Baez (FanDuel: $4,300, DraftKings: $5,500) and Willson Contreras (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings: $5,200) are always in play.

The Cubs will likely be the chalk on Wednesday but for good reasons. Load up on Chicago bats.

Cleveland Indians

The Cincinnati Reds’ Anthony DeSclafani is a pitcher you definitely want to stack against whenever he takes the bump. The veteran right-hander is allowing a 43.2% flyball rate that has resulted in 2.12 HR/9 so far in 2019. DeSclafani has really struggled with left-handed batters. The Reds’ starter is allowing a .414 wOBA, a 44.8% hard contact rate and 2.93 HR/9 to the lefty sticks this season.

Your Cleveland build will start with Carlos Santana (FanDuel: $3,500, DraftKings: $4,600) and Francisco Lindor (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings: $5,200). Both of these lefty sticks have ISOs over .245 against right-handed pitching this season.

Over theirlast seven the Cleveland offense has a .313 ISO and a .343 wOBA. So feel freeto make this a three or four man stack and include the likes of Jose Ramirez (FanDuel:$3,100, DraftKings: $3,500) and Jake Bauers (FanDuel: $2,600, DraftKings: $3,200).

Boston Red Sox

Texas’ Lance Lynn has a respectable 4.39 ERA this season but is getting hit hard. Most notably, he is allowing a 42.1% hard contact rate to RHBs

The Boston build, of course, will need to include Mookie Betts (FanDuel: $4,200, DraftKings: $4,400). The Red Sox outfielder homered on Tuesday and has a .222 ISO against right-handed pitching in 2019. Also keep in mind that the Rangers’ Lynn is throwing his fastball almost 49% of the time. This is a bonus for Betts, as he has a .256 ISO against such pitch this season.

Also consider Xander Bogaerts (FanDuel: $4,000, DraftKings: $4,300), as he has a .363 wOBA versus righties. J.D. Martinez (FanDuel: $4,000, DraftKings: $4,500) owns a .324 batting average against fastballs this season, so he clearly needs to be in your player pool as well. Rafael Devers (FanDuel: $3,800, DraftKings: $4,100) also has killed the fastball this season, with a .256 ISO. You can use Andrew Benintendi (FanDuel: $3,600, DraftKings: $4,000) as well.

The Red Sox should provide plenty of hard contact againstLynn.

Other Stacks to Consider: Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins.

Value Stacks: Baltimore Orioles (FanDuel), Toronto Blue Jays (FanDuel), San Diego Padres (FanDuel), Cincinnati Reds (FanDuel/DraftKings).
