Louisiana

There are currently eight Sportsbooks available in Louisiana. Sports betting has been available in Louisiana since May 2022 and you must be 21+ years of age and physically in the state (verifiable by your mobile device’s geolocation).

Louisiana took its time adapting, with voters approving a ballot measure in 2020. Within the state, it is unique, in that parishes have to individually allow sports betting.
55 out of 64 parishes voted to legalize sports betting, with Caldwell, Catahoula, Franklin, Jackson, La Salle, Sabine, Union, West Carroll, and Winn as the sole holdouts.
That means you won’t be able to bet online in those parishes as sportsbooks will establish geofences. In that case, you must simply travel to a parish that does allow online sports betting to place your wagers.
