This article focuses on 3/6 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format. The goal is to gain an edge on the field at large.

Saturday 3/6 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

It’s time for another EPL Saturday morning and we have you all set with a breakdown below.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Southampton (+110) at Sheffield United (+270) Danny Ings (+148), Daniel N’Lundulu (+275), David McGoldrick (+280), Che Adams (+295), Billy Sharp (+300), Oliver McBurnie (+300), Lys Mousset (+300), Takumi Minamino (+310)

Wolverhampton (+210) at Aston Villa (+143) – Ollie Watkins (+200), Keinan Davis (+265), Willian Jose (+280), Fabio Silva (+280), Anwar El Ghazi (+295), Bertrand Traore (+330), Pedro Neto (+340), Jack Grealish (+370), Ross Barkley (+370)

Leicester City (+195) at Brighton (+148) Jamie Vardy (+180), Neal Maupay (+180), Kelechi Iheanacho (+270), Danny Welbeck (+280), Aaron Connolly (+280), Andi Zeqiri (+290), Percy Tau (+340), Alireza Jahanbakhsh (+340), Leandro Trossard (+390), Jose Izquierdo (+390), Pascal Gros (+410)

EPL Best Odds

*Leandro Trossard to Score* (+390) – 0.15 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Leandro Trossard is not a prolific goalscorer by any measure. However, given the juicy odds here, I think that we can target him in this spot. Brighton will be a home favorite against a Leicester side dealing with an excessive number of injuries. In the alternate, you could also opt to roll with Pascal Gros at +410. However, after missing a crucial penalty kick last week, it remains to be seen if Gros will continue in that role. As a set-piece taker, he is more of an assist man.

This article focuses on 3/3 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format. The goal is to gain an edge on the field at large.

Wednesday 3/3 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Let’s get ready for what for most teams will be Matchweek 27/38 as the midweek matches for the season begin to wind down. DraftKings is running an early slate, consisting of solely the first two games. Since we can basically scratch-off Sheffield United, there are only three teams to choose players from. Both James Maddison and Jack Grealish will be out, leaving big shoes to fill.

The FanDuel slate also includes the Manchester United game afterward, providing us a few more options. All three of the matchups feature decent, albeit not great teams against very poor teams.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Leicester City (+105) at Burnley (+300) Jamie Vardy (+123), Kelechi Iheanacho ( +200), Chris Wood (+250), Jay Rodriguez (+320), Matej Vydra (+325), Cengiz Under (+350)

Aston Villa (+106) at Sheffield United (+260) – Ollie Watkins (+175), Keinan Davis (+240), Anwar El Ghazi (+270), David McGoldrick (+295), Oliver McBurnie (+295), Billy Sharp (+295), Rhian Brewster (+295), Lys Mousset (+295), Bertrand Traore (+330), Ross Barkley (+340), Trezeguet (+360)

FanDuel Only – Late Game”

Manchester United (-250) at Crystal Palace (+700) Bruno Fernandes (+120), Edinson Cavani (+128), Marcus Rashford (+180), Anthony Martial (+180), Mason Greenwood (+220), Amad Diallo (+270), Daniel James (+280)

EPL Best Odds

*Marcus Rashford to Score* (+180) – 0.25 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

He hasn’t been the goal scorer in the EPL this season that he was in the Champion’s League prior to United’s elimination. However, these are nice odds for Rashy in a game where United is a -250 favorite.

This article focuses on 2/24 UCL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format. The goal is to gain an edge on the field at large.

Wednesday 2/24 UCL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Let’s get ready for another day of the Champion’s League!

Gladbach (+800) at Manchester City (-335) – 3 Total Goals

Given the odds here, it is no surprise that Manchester City will be chalky. We will just have to see how the City starting lineup shakes out, but their attacking players will all be strong options. On the flip side, given the stellar defense that City has exhibited lately, I will fade Gladbach outside of any cheap defensemen on Fanduel, as necessary.

Real Madrid (+195) at Atalanta (+128) – 3 Total Goals

Manchester City’s shadow hangs over this slate. However, this other game has the same goal total. Of particular note, is that Real Madrid has an absolutely mind-boggling number of injured players. Star striker Karim Benzema, the team’s vocal leader in central defender and penalty kick taker Sergio Ramos, the legendary wingback Marcelo, and many more will be sidelined. In Bergamo, I sort of like Atalanta. At full strength, Real Madrid would win this match. Nonetheless, that is not the cards for today.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds and Key Injuries

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds are listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Gladbach (+800) at Manchester City (-335) – Sergio Aguero (-114), Raheem Sterling (+125), Gabriel Jesus (+133), Ilkay Gundogan (+133), Kevin De Bruyne (+155), Phil Foden (+155), Riyad Mahrez (+165), Ferran Torres (+195), Bernardo Silva (+275), Rodri (+275), Alassane Plea (+390)

Key Injuries

Gladbach: Mamadou Doucoure

Manchester City: Nathan Ake

Real Madrid (+195) at Atalanta (+128) Duvan Zapata (+145), Luis Muriel (+160), Joseph Illicic (+175), Sam Lammers (+185), Mariano Diaz (+205), Ruslan Malinovskyi (+260), Hugo Duro (+265), Aleksei Miranchuk (+275), Vinicius Junior (+300), Marco Asensio (+360), Luka Modric (+360), Isco (+360)

Key Injuries

Real Madrid: “Like half of the team is out” Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marcelo, Rodrygo, Daniel Carjaval, Alvaro Odriozola, Sergio Ramos, Fede Valverde, Eder Militao

Atalanta: Hans Hateboer

UCL Best Odds

*Ilkay Gundogan to Score* (+133) – 0.25 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

There is no one hotter in the English Premier League than Ilkay Gundogan. A true box to box midfielder, he can get back and play terrific defense when needed. However, recently he has been flashing some exceptional skills when provided the opportunity to advance into a more attacking role. At the dirty age of thirty, Gundogan has upped his game from two goals last year in 31 matches to 11 goals this year over 19. Let’s take a stab at the magic continuing.

This article focuses on 2/23 UCL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format. The goal is to gain an edge on the field at large.

Tuesday 2/23 UCL Slate and DFS Gameplan

The Champion’s League is back with another set of Tuesday/Wednesday matches. Let’s dig in below.

Chelsea (+188) at Atletico Madrid (+170) – 2.5 Total Goals

This should be a close match as the odds indicate. I would also expect a defensive battle, given Atletico Madrid’s preferred style of play.

Bayern Munich (-130) at Lazio (+340) – 3 Total Goals

Bayern is fairly short handed here, compared to last year, when they romped through the Champion’s League. Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, and Benjamin Pavard lead the list of absentees. However, there is still enough firepower here for Bayern to show why they are the slate’s top favorite. Lazio, it was a good story, Ciro Immobile is great, but no way they advance here.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds and Key Injuries

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds are listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Key Injuries

Chelsea: None

Atletico Madrid: Yannick Carrasco, Kieran Trippier “suspension”, Sime Vrsaljko, Hector Herrera, Yannick Carrasco

Lazio: Stefan Radu

UCL Best Odds

*Joao Felix to Score* (+350) – 0.25 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

So, Atletico Madrid is at home and favored here, but three Chelsea forwards have much higher scoring odds than Joao Felix? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Joao Felix is coming in at +350, which seems like a very fair deal.

Saturday 2/20 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

It’s time for another EPL Saturday morning and we have you all set with a breakdown below.

There are three games on tap, for what should be yet another relatively low scoring slate. Goals will be at a premium, so it is important that we do our homework.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds and Game Breakdowns

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

West Brom (+290) at Burnley (+104)

Chris Wood (+150), Ashley Barnes (+188), Matej Vydra (+215), Jay Rodriguez (+225), Joel Mubungo (+250), Mbaye Diagne (+280), Hal Robson-Kanu (+350), Karlan Grant (+360), Matheus Periera (+400)

Yuck, what a way to start a Saturday morning. That being said, West Brom will likely make Burnley look good here. Burnley can hunker down and play defense, they have good goaltending, so some things are working for them. That’s more than could be said of lowly West Brom.

Everton (+575) at Liverpool (-220) –

Mohammed Salah (+130), Sadio Mane (+143), Roberto Firmino (+200), Divock Origi (+215), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (+235), Xherdan Shaquiri (+325), Jake Cain (+325), Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain (+360), Joshua King (+370), Richarlison (+410)

This year’s second rendition of the annual Merseyside derby takes place in Anfield, this Saturday. Liverpool looked strong mid-week against Leipzig in the Champion’s League. They will look to carry that form over to the Premier League, where they have struggled, as of late. Both Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane stand out as attacking options on a slate with few stars. It seems Trent Alexander-Arnold has retaken control of set pieces and he is my favorite play on the entire slate on DraftKings.

Sheffield United (+260) at Fulham (+120)

Josh Maja (+240), Ivan Cavaleiro (+250), Ademola Lookman (+280), Billy Sharp (+280), Bobby De Cordova-Reid (+295), Lys Mousset (+300), Rhian Brewster (+300), Oliver McBurnie (+300), David McGoldrick (+300), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (+370), Oliver Burke (+400)

Finally, we have this sad Sheffield United outfit travelling to Fulham. These blades are far from sharp, so as the odds indicate, this is a great opportunity for the Cottagers. Part of the issue is this is the late game and these lineups are both fairly fluid. As a result, this is the game that I would go lightest on.

EPL Best Odds

*Mohammed Salah to Score* (+130) – 0.20 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Let’s roll with a more popular option to score odds wise than we usually try to target. Mo Salah has been in great form as of late and now finds himself back at home against cross town rivals Everton for the Merseyside Derby. He scored a beautiful goal mid-week and will be looking to add at least one more to his tally.

Tuesday 2/16 UCL Slate and DFS Gameplan

After a huge wait, the Champion’s League finally returns and does so with a pair of very interesting matches.

PSG (+240) at Barcelona (+100)

First, we have a rematch of the infamous “Remontada” where Barcelona overcame a 4-0 deficit to win 6-5 on aggregate against PSG in 2017.

It comes at a time when PSG is missing two of their top three players in Neymar and Angel Di Maria. Of PSG’s primary trio, only Kylian Mbappe will be active, with Mauro Icardi and Moise Kean likely filling the void. We will have to see how set pieces shake up, perhaps Marco Veratti will have a role.

At home at the Camp Nou, Barcelona is favored and needs to find a way to walk away with an advantage before travelling to the second leg in Paris. All eyes will be on their talisman Leo Messi, who does not have the huge goal scoring odds of slates past at +100. However, that still makes for the highest goal scoring odds on this slate. Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele should be up front, supporting Messi in the attack.

Liverpool (+128) at Leipzig (+205) “In Hungary”

The other game is fairly intriguing as well, as at the moment, once mighty Liverpool is in very poor form. All English teams are currently banned from travel to Germany due to UK Covid-19 variant, so this game will be played in Hungary. Despite their recent issues, Liverpool still have the third highest odds to win the Champion’s League at +800, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Despite losing Timo Werner over the summer, this Leipzig team has remained very solid. They are having a successful season in the Bundesliga and should be less impacted than Liverpool by the move to Hungary. Master tactician Julian Nagelsmann will be look to exploit his German counterpart Jurgen Klopp and hope Liverpool’s struggles continue. While Leipzig might not win the Champion’s League, they are more than capable of the upset here, if Liverpool comes out sloppy.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds and Key Injuries

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds are listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

PSG (+240) at Barcelona (+100) Lionel Messi (+100), Kylian Mbappe (+155), Antoine Griezmann (+195), Mauro Icardi (+200), Moise Kean (+235), Ousmane Dembele (+340), Pablo Sarabia (+400), Pedri (+510)

Key Injuries

PSG: Neymar “out”, Angel Di Maria “out”, Juan Bernat “out”

Barcelona: Ansu Fati “out”, Phillipe Coutinho “out”, Sergi Roberto “out”, Ronald Araujo “out”, Martin Braithwaite “doubtful”, Gerald Pique “GTD”

Liverpool (+128) at Leipzig (+205) Mohammed Salah (+118), Sadio Mane (+195), Alexander Sorloth (+215), Hee-Chan Hwang (+235), Yussuf Poulsen (+235), Roberto Firmino (+260), Divock Origi (+300), Christopher Nkunku (+330), Dani Olmo (+330), Emil Forsberg (+330), Marcel Sabitzer (+330), Xherdan Shaquiri (+440), Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain (+460), Angelino (+510)

Key Injuries

Liverpool: Diego Jota “out”, Naby Keita “out”, Virgil Van Dyk “out”, Joe Gomez “out”, Joel Matip “out”, Fabinho “doubtful”

Leipzig: Dominik Szoboszlai “out”

UCL Best Odds

*Ousmane Dembele to Score* (+340) – 0.25 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

It seems Ousmane Dembele’s goal scoring odds are coming in way higher than any of the other forwards in both matches. I am not sure that’s exactly fair. Nevertheless, given these odds, rather than roster him in DFS, it is a good way to get some exposure to him, if desired.

Saturday 2/13 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

As the soccer season continues to heat up, let’s get ready for an EPL Saturday morning before Champion’s League resumes this Tuesday/Wednesday.

There are three games on tap, for what should be another relatively low scoring slate. The first game in particular might allow us to catch some extra rest.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds and Game Breakdowns

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Burnley (+215) at Crystal Palace (+148) Jean-Philippe Mateta (+255), Christian Benteke (+255), Ashley Barnes (+265), Michy Batshuayi (+265), Matej Vydra (+285), Jay Rodriguez (+295), Jordan Ayew (+325)

This game should be a total snooze. Double check your lineups and just go back to sleep! I must say, I do like the goalies here, but little else is appealing.

Tottenham (+750) at Manchester City (-315) – Sergio Aguero (+104) “Very unlikely to start”, Raheem Sterling (+105), Gabriel Jesus (+148), Phil Foden (+160), Ilkay Gundogan (+160), Riyad Mahrez (+170), Harry Kane (+290), Bernardo Silva (+300), Son Heung-Min (+380)

These two normally play fairly tight games. However, the inevitable 2021 EPL Champions, Manchester City, are undefeated in their last 23 games in all competitions. They have been boosted by what has been the world’s best defense during that span. The center back combo of John Stones and Ruben Dias have solidified what was once this team’s most glaring weakness. When combined with the emergence of young stud Phil Foden and the inspired play of Ilkay Gundogan, expect City to be chalk, yet again.

Aston Villa (+155) at Brighton (+170)Neal Maupay (+163), Ollie Watkins (+170), Keinan Davis (+240), Danny Welbeck (+245), Aaron Connolly (+245), Andi Zeqiri (+260), Anwar El-Ghazi (+265), Jack Grealish (+340), Ross Barkley (+340), Bertrand Traore (+340)

An intriguing late game, I certainly think you can pick off some pieces here. As far as the Brighton side goes, Pascal Gros should be popular in cash games with Neal Maupay at a discount once again for tournaments.

EPL Best Odds

*Harry Kane or Son Heung-Min to Score* (+290/+380) – 0.20 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Man City has been playing amazing defense as of late, sure. However, what sort of world do we live in when Harry Kane and Son’s goal odds come in similar to Bernardo Silva’s in the same game? Neal Maupay has around double their odds to score; this is just not a world in which to raise your children. That said, I probably would not parlay both Harry Kane and Son to score. It would be a big ask for both to score. Furthermore, they are awful DFS plays at their prices, so you’re better off taking these discounted goal odds and hoping one of them hits.

EPL Best Odds

*Jesse Lingard to Score* (+425) – 0.15 Units – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

You never want to drop the entire bankroll on Jesse Lingard, that is for sure. However, his West Ham debut could not have gone better with two goals. He had not played at all recently at Manchester United, but at only 28, there is certainly a lot of gas in the tank. Now that his mind is free and he is getting playing time, there may be more goals to come. Lingard is a strong candidate to resurrect his career.
