Seattle Mariners

For those not familiar, my name is Dan Wehr and I am a new author here at WinDailyDFS. This article will provide a game by game DFS breakdown for the six game main slate on Draftkings and FanDuel, and I also provide some preferred stacks.

They are hitting close to their season averages.

They are hitting close to their season averages.

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Milwaukee Brewers

Over/Under: 9.5

Implied Run TotalPIT: 3.80 Runs

Implied Run TotalMIL: 5.70 Runs

Weather Concerns: Dome

Pittsburgh PiratesJordan Lyles (RHP) on the mound tonight in Milwaukee. Lyles is sporting a 3.64 ERA, 3.67 FIP, and 4.74 SIERA on the season. He has true splits, carrying a .367 wOBA, .500 SLG, and .367 OBP to left handed batters. He has been particularly bad on the road against lefties. Pirates batters are slashing to a respectable .376 wOBA, .226 ISO, and .532 SLG against right handed batters over the last few weeks.

Preferred DFS PlaysCorey Dickerson $3100 FD | $4300 DK. Josh Bell $4500 FD | $5300 DK. Bryan Reynolds $3300 FD | $4500 DK. Colin Moran $2500 FD | $3900 DK. Elias Diaz $2500 FD | $3300 DK.

Milwaukee BrewersBrandon Woodruff (RHP) on the mound for the Brewers tonight. He has a 4.01 ERA, 3.07 FIP, and 3.53 SIERA on the season. Woodruff has true splits, carrying a .335 wOBA, .441 SLG, and .341 OBP against left handed batters this season. Brewers batters are currently slashing to a .315 wOBA, .170 ISO, and have a .402 SLG. They are hitting slightly below their season average over the last two weeks. Jordan Lyles is awful on the road vs. lefties and Milwaukee bats have been a bit pedestrian lately. I think the Brewers crack things open tonight and score some runs.

Preferred DFS Plays: Mike Moustakas $3700 FD | $4700 DK. Yasmani Grandal $3300 FD | $4400 DK. Christian Yelich $4500 FD | $5700 DK. Eric Thames $2700 FD | $4200 DK

Seattle Mariners @ Houston Astros

Over/Under: 9.5

Implied Run TotalSEA: 3.20 Runs

Implied Run TotalHOU: 6.30 Runs

Weather Concerns: Dome

Seattle Mariners Yusei Kikuchi (LHP) on the mound in Houston. He carries a 5.11 ERA, 5.55 FIP, and 5.10 SIERA on the season. Kikuchi has fairly similar splits and struggles quite a bit on the road. Kikuchi carries a .361 wOBA, .505 SLG, and .354 OBP against right handed batters. Everyone is waiting for the Astros to really break out again and I think this is a good spot for them to do so. Seattle batters are slashing to a .333 wOBA, .173 ISO, and .441 SLG over the last few weeks. They are hitting close to their season average.

Preferred DFS PlaysDaniel Vogelbach $3700 FD | $4000 DK. J.P. Crawford $3000 FD | $4200 DK.

Houston Astros Justin Verlander (RHP) on the mound tonight at home. He carries a 2.67 ERA, 3.77 FIP, and 3.17 SIERA on the season. Houston batters are hitting well above their season averages recently with a .448 wOBA, .337 ISO, and .647 SLG.

Preferred DFS Plays: Alex Bregman $4200 FD | $5100 DK. Jose Altuve $4000 | $4100 DK. Tyler White $2200 FD | $3200 DK. Jake Marisnick $2200 FD | $4000 DK. George Springer $4400 FD | $5400 DK.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ San Francisco Giants

Over/Under: 7.5

Implied Run Total – ARI: 4.20

Implied Run Total – SFG: 3.30

Weather Concerns: N/A

Arizona DiamondbacksZack Greinke (RHP) takes the mound in San Francisco tonight. He is sporting a 2.91 ERA, 3.45 FIP, and 3.96 SIERA on the season. Greinke has identical splits, allowing a .260 wOBA, .249 OBP, and .252 BABIP to both sides. Greinke gets a ballpark boost and has the clear advantage against a weak SFG offense. Arizona batters are slashing to a .272 wOBA, .127 ISO, and .349 SLG over the last few weeks. They are hitting well below their season averages.

Preferred DFS PlaysKetel Marte $4100 FD | $5200 DK. Eduardo Escobar $4200 FD | $4800 DK. Christian Walker $3000 FD | $4000 DK.

San Francisco GiantsDrew Pomeranz (LHP) is on the mound at home. He carries a 7.09 ERA, 6.01 FIP, and 4.68 SIERA on the year. Pomeranz has true splits as right handed batters are slashing to a .412 wOBA, .594 SLG, and .396 OBP against him this season. San Francisco batters are slashing to a .307 wOBA, .178 ISO, and .418 SLG over the last few weeks. They are hitting above their season averages.

Preferred DFS Plays – N/A

Oakland Athletics @ Los Angeles Angels

Over/Under: 9.5

Implied Run TotalOAK: 4.40 Runs

Implied Run TotalLAA: 5.10 Runs

Weather Concerns: N/A

Oakland AthleticsBrett Anderson (LHP) is on the mound in Anaheim tonight. Anderson has a 4.26 ERA, 5.15 FIP, and 5.44 SIERA on the season. He is a ground ball pitcher with a hefty 52% GB rate. Anderson carries a .295 wOBA .383 SLG, and .304 OBP against him on the road. Oakland batters are slashing to a .371 wOBA, .273 ISO, and .580 SLG to left handed pitching over the last few weeks.

Preferred DFS PlaysKhris Davis $3400 FD | $3600 DK. Marcus Semien $3400 FD | $4100 DK. Ramon Laureano $3300 FD | $3900 DK. Mark Canha $2800 FD | $3600 DK. Matt Chapman $3700 FD | $4200 DK.

Los Angeles AngelsTyler Skaggs (LHP) is on the mound for the Angels this evening. He carries a 4.30 ERA, 4.25 FIP, and 4.40 SIERA on the year. Skaggs tends to be hot and cold and the last time he faced the A’s he ended up getting hit around a bit. The A’s lineup is full of right handed power and Skaggs is carrying a .310 wOBA, .407 SLG, and 318 OBP to them on the year. Angels batters are slashing .to a 266 wOBA, .073 ISO, and .305 SLG over the last two weeks, They are hitting well below their season averages over the last two weeks.

Preferred DFS Plays: Mike Trout $4700 FD | $5600 DK. Shohei Ohtani $4100 FD | $5100 DK. Albert Pujols $3000 FD | $3900 DK. Kole Calhoun $3200 FD | $4300 DK.

St. Louis Cardinals @ San Diego Padres

Over/Under: 8

Implied Run TotalSTL: 3.71 Runs

Implied Run Total SDP: 4.29 Runs

Weather Concerns: N/A

St. Louis CardinalsDakota Hudson (RHP) takes the mound in San Diego. He has a 3.36 ERA, 4.67 FIP, and 4.72 SIERA on the season. Hudson struggles mightily against left handed batters, carrying a 386 wOBA, .532 SLG, and .396 OBP so far this season. He has a massive ground ball rate of 62% and an extremely low fly ball rate of 17%. Cardinals batters are slashing .283 wOBA, .123 wOBA, and 74 WRC+. They have struggled all season with right handed pitching.

Preferred DFS PlaysDakota Hudson $8400 FD | $6900 DK.

San Diego Padres Chris Paddack (RHP) is on the mound at home this evening. He has a 3.18 ERA, 3.99 FIP, and 3.87 SIERA this season. Paddack has a 45% hard contact rate and 40% fly ball rate. He has identical splits, carrying a .261 wOBA, .370 SLG, and .257 OBP against both sides this season. The Cardinals have struggled a ton against righties as of late and Paddack certainly has the arm talent to get the QS and win against this porous Cardinals lineup. The only concern I have is Paddack is not an innings eater, averaging four or five IP per game. Padres batters are slashing to a .358 wOBA, .214 ISO, and .493 SLG against right handed pitching over the last two weeks. They are hitting well above their season averages.

Preferred DFS Plays – Chris Paddack $8100 FD | $8300 DK. Fernando Tatis Jr. $4000 FD | $5500 DK. Manny Machado $3900 FD | $4900 DK. Franmil Reyes $2800 FD | $4100 DK.

Dwehrj08’s Favorite DFS Plays

Top Pitchers

  1. Chris Paddack (Not an innings eater so tread carefully)
  2. Dakota Hudson
  3. Zack Greinke

Top Stacks

  1. Houston Astros
  2. Milwaukee Brewers
  3. Arizona Diamondbacks
  4. For good measure I will most definitely have exposure to Coors, as should you. This game isn’t my top priority but the implied run total here just simply cannot be ignored.

Here are thetop teams to stack for MLB’s May 29th action:

EARLY SLATE

Cincinnati Reds

The Pirates’ Steven Brault is a guy we want to attack when he takes the bump for Pittsburgh. The left-handed pitcher has a robust 7.11 ERA. And his other numbers for this season aren’t any better. Brault has a 5.46 SIERA and a 5.85 xFIP. The Pittsburgh starter also is getting hit hard with a 44.9% hard contact rate, making the Reds look like a juicy stacking option for Thursday.

The building blocks for this stack will be Eugenio Suarez (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,900) and Nick Senzel (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $4,900). Both of these right-handed bats have at least a .300 ISO against lefties in 2019. And while he doesn’t have great numbers against southpaws this season, how do you not chase yesterday’s three home run performance by Derek Dietrich (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,900)?

Other Reds to look at it include: Kyle Farmer (FanDuel: $2,100 DraftKings: $3,800) and Yasiel Puig (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,200). Both Cincinnati bats have over .200 ISOs against lefties in 2019.

Seattle Mariners

The Rangers’ Drew Smyly is struggling this season with a 6.15 ERA and is allowing 2.14 HR/9. With seven Mariners owning an ISO of over .200 against southpaws in 2019, the Texas starter’s struggles should continue in this one.

These seven players should be the emphasis of your stack: Jay Bruce (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $4,300), Domingo Santana (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,500), Daniel Vogelbach (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $5,300), Tim Beckham (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,800), Mitch Haniger (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,400), Omar Narvaez (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,200) and Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,500).

Los Angeles Angels

Since returning to the big leagues, the Athletics’ Daniel Mengden has been hit really hard by opposing offenses. In fact, he has allowed a 50% hard contact rate. The hard contact has resulted in him having a 6.07 SIERA and a 6.11 xFIP. The Angels’ offense should be able to hit some balls awfully hard against the young Oakland right-hander here and make for a great value play to combine with Cincinnati or Seattle.

Mike Trout (FanDuel:$4,700 DraftKings: $5,500), Kole Calhoun (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,100),Albert Pujols (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500), Shohei Ohtani (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,500) and Tommy La Stella (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $3,900)all have produced at least a 45% hard contact rate against righties in 2019.

MAIN SLATE

Arizona Diamondbacks

Winning DFS lineups for today’s slate will likely be loaded with Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies will be running Jeff Hoffman out to the bump. The right-handed starter has not fared well at Coors Field in his career. Hoffman has allowed a .303/.376/.541 slash line in 86.1 innings pitched in Colorado. Hoffman also has a 5.20 xFIP and 5.7% K-BB% in those contests. Look for the Diamondbacks to take advantage of this matchup in a big way tonight.

The Diamondbacks’ build must start with Eduardo Escobar (FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,700). The third baseman is red hot. He has scored double-digit fantasy points per game for a week now.  His hot streak should continue on Wednesday. Escobar has crushed against righties this season. He owns a .250 ISO and a .351 wOBA against them. You can build around Escobar with a combination of Adam Jones (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300) and Ketel Marte (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,500) as well. Each of these Diamondbacks’ hitters have .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitching in 2019.

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies have had Robbie Ray’s number throughout his career. In 106 at-bats against the current Colorado roster, the Arizona starter has allowed a .302/.395/.586 slash line with a .982 OPS. Of the 32 hits Ray has allowed to the current Rockies’ hitters, 16 of them have been for extra bases. And seven of those have left the yard. The success against Ray should continue tonight as the Rockies’ offense has a.209 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

When building your Rockies’ stack, of course you will want to start the construction with Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,900 DraftKings: $5,600). The infielder has crushed lefties this season. He has a .466 ISO and a .516 wOBA versus them. Also, he has killed Ray in the past. Arenado has a 1.289 career OPS against the Diamondbacks’ pitcher.

You also need to consider Ian Desmond (FanDuel: $3,500DraftKings: $3,900). The outfielder has an ISO of .321 versus lefties in 2019.He also has a 1.289 career OPS versus Ray. Chris Iannetta (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,700), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,100), DanielMurphy (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100), Raimel Tapia (FanDuel: $3,200DraftKings: $4,100) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500)should all be considered. Each of those Rockies’ hitters have .200-plus ISOsagainst left-handed pitching in 2019.

Kansas City Royals

The ChicagoWhite Sox’s Reynaldo Lopez has struggled this season. The Right-hander has a5.09 SIERA and a 5.81 xFIP. Lopez has also allowed a 53.6% flyball rate and a40.9% hard contact rate. In addition to his 2019 struggles, Lopez has also hada difficult time with the Royals in his career. Against the current Royals’roster, the Chicago starter has allowed a .301 batting average and a .382 on-basepercentage.

Hunter Dozier(FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,100) and Jorge Soler (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,400) are great building blocks to a Royals’ stack. Both KansasCity hitter have ISO’s of at least .275 against right-handed pitcher but theyalso have .900-plus OPS against flyball pitchers.

Alex Gordon (FanDuel:$3,400 DraftKings: $4,800) and Adalberto Mondesi (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,500)also have produced at least a .200 ISO against righties in 2019. While WhitMerrifield (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,200) has a .364 wOBA and a 127 wRC+against right-handed pitching this season.

Philadelphia Phillies

The St.Louis Cardinals will be starting Genesis Cabrera. The left-handed pitcher has a6.35 ERA in Triple-A this season. In 39.2 innings pitched for the Memphis Cardinals,Cabrera has allowed 43 hits and 19 walks that have led to 28 earned runs. ThePhillies are likely going to provide a rude welcome the Cardinals’ starter.

Jean Segura (FanDuel:$3,900 DraftKings: $4,800), J.T. Realmuto (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,600),Scott Kingery (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,100), Rhys Hoskins (FanDuel: $4,400DraftKings: $4,900) and Bryce Harper (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $4,500) allwill be part of the welcoming party. Each of these players have recorded atleast a .200 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

Baltimore Orioles

The Tigers’Ryan Carpenter has had a rough go to the start of his 2019 campaign. He isallowing 3.21 HR/9 while maintaining a 9.00 ERA. While we usually stack againstthe Orioles, today you want to stack with the Orioles.

This stackwill of course start with Trey Mancini (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,000).While he is not a cheap part of the stack, he is an owner of a .283 ISO and a.430 wOBA versus lefties this season.

The other bat to consider starting the Baltimore stack with is Pedro Severino (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $3,900). Severino has a .300-plus ISOs against lefties this season.

Good luckand happy stacking!

Here are thetop teams to stack for MLB’s May 22nd action:

Seattle Mariners

The Texas Rangers’ Adrian Sampson is the perfect stacking target on Wednesday as he is due to come in after Jesse Chavez, who only helps make this stack formidable. Sampson has a 4.79 ERA this season as well as a 5.18 SIERA. Sampson also is getting hit extremely hard, as he has a 47.2% hard contact rate in 2019. The Seattle offense will take advantage of these opportunities, as the Mariners have a team ISO of .229 against righties this season.

As you construct your Seattle stacks, look to begin with the right-handed bats of the Mariners. Sampson has allowed a .343 batting average, .428 wOBA and 2.22 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300), Mitch Haniger (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,300), Ryan Healy (FanDuel:  $2,800 DraftKings: $3,700) and Tim Beckham (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,000), are all right-handed batters that have excelled against right-handed pitching this season. Each of these hitters have ISO’s over .200 in those type of matchups.

And while heis not a right-handed batter, Daniel Vogelbach (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,500),has to make your list of Mariners. He has a .410 ISO and .458 wOBA againstrighties in 2019, while Sampson is allowing a 50.9% hard contact rate tolefties this season.

Texas Rangers

Seattle will be starting Marco Gonzales. The southpaw has a put up decent numbers in 2019 but has a 4.99 xFIP, meaning regression is on its way. Look for that move back to mean to begin tonight. The Rangers put up big power numbers against left-handed pitching.

Piece thatRangers’ stack together with the left mashers: Joey Gallo (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings:$5,600), Nomar Mazara (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100), Hunter Pence (FanDuel:$3,900 DraftKings: $5,400) and Danny Santana (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $5,200).

New York Yankees

Whenever the Baltimore Orioles push Dan Straily to the bump, we are going to be interested in attacking the right-hander with stacks. And today is no different, especially with the Yankees being Straily’s opponent. The New York offense has produced the sixth-highest ISO against right-handed pitching this season. That should play well against Straily, who owns a 6.42 SIERA, 7.24xFIP and 2.93 HR/9 this season, all of which are the highest of any pitcher scheduled to start today.

When building your Pinstripes stack, feel free to use any and all Yankees regardless of which side of the plate they bat from. Straily has been bad against both righties and lefties this season. Against left-handed batters he is allowing a .384 wOBA and a 2.3 HR/9. And versus righties he is allowing a .394/.419/.732 slash line.

Just be sure not to leave Gary Sanchez (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings:$5,500) off any of your Yankee builds. The New York slugger is raking againstrighties this season. He owns a .381 ISO and a .413 wOBA against them. You are probablygoing to want some combination of Gleyber Torres (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300),Brett Gardner (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $4,800), Luke Voit (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings:$5,300) and Clint Frazier (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,300) as well. Each ofthose four Yankees’ hitters have .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitchingin 2019.

Houston Astros

The Astroshave crushed right-handed pitching all season long. They have a .220 ISO, .355wOBA and a 127 wRC+ against them. With the White Sox starting Ivan Nova in thisone, you have to believe they keep smashing, so load up on the Astros.

As you loadup on them, feel free to picks batters from either side of the plate. Nova isallowing a .435 wOBA to lefties and a .365 wOBA to righties in 2019.

The Astros’stack should begin with the usual suspects. Alex Bregman (FanDuel: $4,300DraftKings: $5,500), George Springer (FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $5,900) if heis in the lineup and Michael Brantley (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,200).  Each of these three sluggers have an OPSgreater than 1.010 against right-handed pitching.

You willalso want to target Robinson Chirinos (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $4,400),Jake Marisnick (FanDuel: $2,400 DraftKings: $4,900), Carlos Correa (FanDuel: $4,100DraftKings: $5,200) and Aledmys Diaz (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,500).These four Astros all have ISOs greater than .200 against righties in 2019.

Minnesota Twins

The Twinshave been red hot over the last week. In the last seven days the Minnesotaoffense has a .307 batting average and a .230 team ISO. With the Twins facing theAngels’ Matt Harvey tonight, there is no reason to believe the Twins’ bats cooltonight.

Harvey ownsa 5.07 SIERA and has a below league average 17% K rate. You want to attack theAngels’ starter with left-handed bats. Harvey is allowing a .395 wOBA, 1.89HR/9 and a 55.9% hard contact versus lefty batters in 2019.

So, as youbuild your Twins’ stack you are looking at guys like Jason Castro (FanDuel: $3,200DraftKings: $4,100), Jorge Polanco (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $4,700), MaxKepler (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100) and Eddie Rosario (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings:$4,600). The Twinkies’ lefty foursome all have ISOs of at least .243 against right-handedpitching this season.

Good luckand happy stacking!
