If you are playing on an early slate, you will likely thinktwice before using Luis Castillo at Milwaukee, especially at $11,100 onDraftKings. The Brewers have already seen Castillo once this year, when he heldthem to one hit and struck out nine in seven innings on April 3. Milwaukee hasalready seen Castillo but he has allowed more than two earned runs once thisyear and is worth the spend against any opponent right now.

In the same game, you should consider Zach Davies at 8600.Only one guy can get the win, though, so you may want to use them in separate lineups.Davies has a 0.76 ERA in four home starts and has struck out five in each ofhis past three outings. The Reds are 23rd in MLB vs. RHPs.

Frankie Montas is the best cash game play on the early slateat 9500 at Cleveland. He has a 2.70 road ERA in five starts.

On the night slate, you never know what Jon Gray you aregoing to get, but I will chance the 9200 in a GPP. The Pirates rank 27thin batting vs, RHPs.

Max Scherzer (11,100) takes on Jacob deGrom (10,500) in amatchup of up and down marquee pitchers at Citi Field. I will lean towardsScherzer, as the Mets rank eighth in Ks vs. RHPs and Washington needs Scherzerto perform like an ace after dropping the first two games of the series.Scherzer is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA vs. the Mets this year with 19 strikeouts in 14innings pitched.

Gerrit Cole is the obvious top pick at 12,000 againstDetroit.

The surprising Martin Perez is a prime play of the night at8700 vs. the Angels, who rank 27th vs. LHPs. Perez is averaging anunusual nine K/9, and while his 4.15 xFIP suggests some regression coming, the2.89 ERA should not start to climb tonight.

Max Fried gets the ultimate nod as my favorite play at SanFrancisco. He is 8500 on DK and San Francisco has the second-most teamstrikeouts in the National League against LHPs. Fried has struck out six ormore batters in four of his past six games. I would consider going with Friedand Perez on DK if you do not want to spend up for Cole, Scherzer or deGrom andcreate some room for more offense in one of your lineups.

MONKEYKNIFE FIGHT PICK FOR WEDNESDAY

Max Fried over 5.5 strikeoutsThe Braves starter has struckout five or more in five of his past six starts. As we have already outlined, this outing should be a smooth one against a non-threatening lineup in a notedpitcher’s park. PlayMonkey Knife Fight Props and get 100 percent bonus!

It is time to attack David Hess again with Yankees. I ammainly looking at Aaron Hicks for $4700 on DraftKings, and Kendrys Morales at 3600to save some salary. Gleyber Torres has been great on the road this year, so Iwill also consider him at 5100.

Marcus Stroman has not been bad at all, but just call it ahunch to use Red Sox against him. I will prioritize Andrew Benintendi at 4300and Rafael Devers at the same price. I have seen Stroman fall apart before whenit appears he is going well.

Michael Pineda is happy to serve up HRs, so I am definitelygoing to be rostering Tommy La Stella tonight. He is the essential play of theday. He is hitting .333 with 10 HR and 24 RBI vs. righties.

We will try this Metsthing again after they won last night and draw Erick Fedde tonight. RobinsonCano doubled as a pinch hitter Monday and is just 3500. If J.D. Davis gets inthe lineup, he is 3900 and is hitting .357 with seven runs scored in 15 home games.Jeff McNeil (4,300) is at .308 with seven walks and 10 runs scored at home.Pete Alonso hit his 15th HR on Monday and will be worth the 5200.

I will anchor a few lineups with Christian Yelich at home vs. Sonny Gray. He is hitting .406 with 15 HRs, 32 RBI and 17 walks at Miller Park. Yelich is he most expensive player on the board at 5800 but he will be worth it tonight. If Ben Gamel gets in the lineup he is hitting .310 with eight runs scored in 22 home games and is at 3900.

I expect the Texas-Seattle game to provide a lot of qualityhitting with Tommy Milone facing Lance Lynn. I will go with Hunter Pence at5100 and will consider Danny Santana (4,800) if he is in the Texas lineup. Iwill also take a shot on the recently returned Mallex Smith to get things goingat 4000 even though he may be at the bottom of the lineup. Dee Gordon will belocked in at 4200 and I may consider Daniel Vogelbach at 4900 if he is in theSeattle lineup.

Dylan Covey has a 7.50 road ERA so let’s hand pick someAstros. Michael Brantley (5,000) is hitting .326 with 25 RBI and 25 R vs. RHPs.Alex Bregman (5,400) has 11 HR, 30 RBI and 28 walks vs, righties. I will alsosee if Tony Kemp gets in the lineup as a possible salary saver for 3,900.

Eddie Rosario is well worth the 4500 against Trevor Cahill, and I will also consider Jason Castro at 4300.

Yankees: Andrew Cashner has a 4.10 ERA but his xFIP is 4.61and he will progress closer to that number tonight. Gleyber Torres ($4800 onDraftKings) is hitting .343 with 13 RBI and 10 R in road games. D.J. LeMahieu ($4200)is hitting .328 with 10 RBI and 12 R on the road. Clint Frazier is at .297 withthree homers and 10 RBI on the road and I like him for $4100 even if he islower in the lineup. Kendrys Morales can be a good price saver at $3400. Alsoconsider Aaron Hicks at $4200.

Rangers: Mike Leake is always not as surefire bet to stackagainst because he will occasionally deliver gems when you are not expectingthem. But you have to take the shot here because of the home park and thebetter likelihood that Leake will struggle.  Willie Calhoun ($4500) is hitting .500 againstRHPs so far, with two homers and seven RBI in 20 ABs. Shin-Soo Choo ($4900) isat .315 with seven HR and 19 RBI vs. righties. Joey Gallo has 10 HRs, 21 RBIand 27 BB vs. RHPs and may be the essential play of the night against a pitcherthat traditionally is not big on the Ks. I’ll spend the $5700. Nomar Mazara($4100) and Asdrubal Cabrera ($3800) can ease some salary pressure here. I alsolike Hunter Pence ($5300) here and may use him if I employ multiple lineups.

Braves: Andrew Suarez had a 6.33 ERA in Triple-A thisseason, and is a prime candidate to get ripped even in a pitcher’s park. I willstart off with Ronald Acuna Jr. at $4600, happily take Josh Donaldson at$4,300, and do the same with Austin Riley at $4,000. I’ll even pop in Dansby Swansonfor the same price as Riley.

Nationals: You have to consider them against Drew Gagnon ina spot start, as the Mets filler option likely won’t last for long as thiscould turn into an ugly bullpen game at New York. Victor Robles ($4100) ishitting ,297 with 10 RBI and 16 runs scored in road games. Adam Eaton is just$3700 and has three steals and 13 runs scored on the road. Also consider JuanSoto at $4200 and spend the $5100 for Anthony Rendon as you can go with him againstany iffy or unproven pitcher(s).

NOTE: The White Sox have yet to announce their Mondaystarter, but no matter when they do, the Astros will be the obvious chalkystack of the night.

Stacking against Wade Miley does not always work out as some hope, but I will at least get a few Boston bats in my lineups today. J.D. Martinez has crushed lefties with a .424 average, six home runs and 11 RBI. Xander Bogaerts is hitting .323 with three homers and seven RBI vs. LHPs. I will spend the $5100 and $4500 on DraftKings.

It will be a bullpen game for the Yankees, opening with ChadGreen, who has struggled mightily overall this year. I will definitely go withBrandon Lowe for $4900 and save some money with Ji-Man Choi at $3900 with theshort RF porch at Yankee Stadium always being inviting.

I will definitely use some Oakland hitters today againstGregory Soto and the Tigers. Khris Davis has seven home runs and 17 RBI in roadgames. Josh Phegley is hitting .367 with 23 RBI on the road, and I will go withhim even if he hits ninth. Marcus Semien has 12 RBI and 12 runs scored on theroad. Davis fits nicely at $4,500 and Semien and Phegley are $4,100.

Let’s attempt to stack Mets again as they try to avoid an embarrassingsweep at Miami and possibly keep Mickey Callaway employed for one more day. Youwill have to pay $5600 for Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil may not be widely rosteredat $4500, but they are worth using against Sandy Alcantara. Robinson Cano needsto get the media off his back and is just $3700, as is Brandon Nimmo. If ToddFrazier gets in the lineup, he has started to show better form recently and isalso $3700.

Milwaukee is my second favorite stack of the day against theerratic Mike Foltynewicz. Christian Yelich  is a big spend at $5800 but well worth it, andI will get Mike Moustakas in there as well at $4600. If Yasmani Grandal is inthe lineup he is $4200 and Keston Hiura is $3400. Check the final Brewerslineup card to see how you can save some money and still run the Milwaukeestack, leading with Yelich. If playing in the earlier games, use the Brewersstack first.

Give me a few White Sox against Trent Thornton. All of the potentialTop 5 in the lineup are in play: Leury Garcia, Tim Anderson, Jose Abreu, YoanMoncada and James McCann if he is in there. If using multiple lineups throw aCWS stack out there. Only Moncada is over $5,000.

It is essential to have at least a Cardinal or two againstDrew Smyly and his 6.85 ERA. Jose Martinez ($4,100) is hitting .417 with sevenRBI and six runs scored in 24 ABs vs, LHPs. Paul DeJong ($4,800) is hitting.333 with seven runs scored in the same amount of ABs vs. lefties.

Drew Pomeranz has a 5.93 ERA and will have a difficult timeat Arizona. Nick Ahmed is hitting .375 with eight RBI and 11 runs scored vs.LHPs and is $3700. Ketel Marte ($5,000) is hitting .302 with five homers and 14RBI vs. lefties.

I will not hesitate to be daring with a K.C. stack againstTyler Skaggs. After the upcoming team I will mention, and the Brewers and Mets, they are my No. 4 overall stack of the day. I definitely want Hunter Dozier at$4100, Whit Merrifield is a good fit at $4500, Aldaberto Mondesi is worth the$4800 and I will take a crack on Jorge Soler at $3800.

The Twins are my favorite overall stack of the day againstYusei Kikuchi, who I do not trust to keep up his recent respectable run ofoutings. Byron Buxton ($4,100) may be low in the lineup, but he is hitting .400vs. lefties. C.J. Cron ($4,200) is a must start at .393 with five homers andnine RBI vs. LHPs. Marwin Gonzalez ($3,400)  has started to reappear lately and is hitting.313 vs. lefties. Eddie Rosario ($4,500) is at a .300 clip vs. LHPs. Check thefinal lineup card and consider those names for sure, and also keep in mind WilliansAstudillo is just $3,500. There are some definite friendly prices among theMinnesota options.

I will take a shot on a power type or two against Torontoknuckleballer Ryan Feierabend. Yoan Moncada ($5,300 on DraftKings) and JoseAbreu ($4,800) could easily take him out of the park if they get hold of afluttering pitch.

Dakota Hudson has a 6.14 road ERA, so I’ll load up on a fewRangers. Hudson has allowed five homers in three road starts and fourappearances. Willie Calhoun has started hot since being promoted and is worththe 4,600. I would certainly spend up for Joey Gallo in this spot at 5,700. AsdrubalCabrera also fits in at 4,100.

If I’m playing an all day or earlier slate, I will stacksome Mets against Pablo Lopez after they pummeled him for seven runs in the firstinning the last time they faced him. New York also wants to erase the stench ofFriday night’s loss. Pete Alonso hit two home runs last night and  has eight home runs, 18 RBI and 17 runs scoredin road games. Spend the 5,400. Robinson Cano is hitting .304 with 11 RBI and15 runs scored vs. RHPs. He is only 3,700. Leadoff man Brandon Nimmo is just3,600, although he could be moved down in the order if Jeff McNeil (4,200)returns. If Nimmo gets pushed down you could still consider him to round outthe stack. J.D. Davis could be in the lineup after a night game and may have a Top5 or so spot in the lineup to warrant using him at 3,700.

Kevin Gausman has pitched better at home than on the roadthis year, but he will be up against a potent Brewers lineup that I like bothfor stacking and individual picks. I will just have to spend up for ChristianYelich at 5,800 and also note that Ryan Braun (4,900) is hitting .306 with 17RBI and 17 runs scored vs. RHPs. Keston Hiura is just 3,400 and Mike Moustakas(4,500) has 16 RBI and 17 runs scored in away games.

Wade LeBlanc has a 5.40 ERA in home games so far this year,so the Twins stack is my favorite tonight and I urge you to get in any individualhitters you can. Marwin Gonzalez is just 3400 and has started to come back tolife recently. Jorge Polanco will be well worth the 5100. I would also considerJonathan Schoop  (3,700) and C.J. Cron (4,100)for some pop and Willians Astudillo (3,800) as well. There are some friendly Minnesotaprices to play with tonight.

I will have to get in a Giants bat or two against ZachGodley and his 7.85 home ERA. Brandon Belt is 4,100 and has 15 RBI and 16 runsscored vs. RHPs. Pablo Sandoval is worth a roll of the dice at the same pricewhen you consider he is hitting .317 with five homers and 14 RBI vs. righties.

Jakob Junis has a .291 road BAA and a 5.77 overall ERA, so Imay slip an Angel or two into my lineups. Tommy La Stella has proved he is wellworth the 4,700 and I will take the shot on Shohei Ohtani at 4,400.

You might consider using J.A. Happ against the Orioles in the early games, but putting him out there at home is a risky play. He has been bad at Yankee Stadium so far this year, with a 6.12 ERA and seven of his nine HRs allowed at home. He may be widely used, so you might want to veer away from the crowd.

Zack Greinkeis the chalk play on the early slate against Pittsburgh, but if you areavoiding Happ on the early slate you will have to spend the $10,200 to get him. The only other respectable choice isChris Archer at $8,400. Arizona is 11th in strikeouts so there issome hope for production there. He is less expensive than Happ.

This is the third time Patrick Corbin is facing the Mets and he has a 3.75 ERA and 13 Ks in 12 IPs against them. He is at $10,000 on DK. He is not a lock, though, as the Mets have started to hit better recently and are seeing him yet again after two earlier matchups.

EduardoRodriguez ($8200) is a very strong play at home against Colorado, as he isstarting to sustain momentum. He has allowed only two earned runs in his lasttwo starts and has at least six strikeouts in five of his last six outings.

Mike Sorokais  a must start no matter who he faces. The Cardinals have a formidable offense, but Soroka can shut the lights out onanyone right now. At $8800 he is a definite start for me regardless of opposition.  He has a 1.64 home ERA and a 1.90 ERA in nightgames. I will use him in tournaments as some will avoid him due to the matchup.

Mike Minorseems quite chalky at $9400 at Kansas City. Yesterday I was recommending aRoyals stack, but today I am certainly going to target them with pitching. TheSoroka/Minor duo may be the way to go with two pitchers on DraftKings. Minorhas a good shot for a victory as the Rangers offense will tee off on JorgeLopez. If you are feeling a bit uncomfortable about Soroka’s matchup you canpair Minor with E-Rod.  In night games,Minor has a 1.84 ERA with 50 Ks in 49 IP. Minor is a strong cash game play.

Kenta Maeda($9200) faces the Padres, who are 19th in road hitting. Maeda is 3-0with a 1.86 ERA at home and should adjust after allowing four runs in sixinnings to San Diego in their first meeting of 2019.
