The King’s Royal DFS Tips for 5/18 – Hitting and Stacks

I will take a shot on a power type or two against Toronto knuckleballer Ryan Feierabend. Yoan Moncada ($5,300 on DraftKings) and Jose Abreu ($4,800) could easily take him out of the park if they get hold of a fluttering pitch.
Dakota Hudson has a 6.14 road ERA, so I’ll load up on a few Rangers. Hudson has allowed five homers in three road starts and four appearances. Willie Calhoun has started hot since being promoted and is worth the 4,600. I would certainly spend up for Joey Gallo in this spot at 5,700. Asdrubal Cabrera also fits in at 4,100.
If I’m playing an all day or earlier slate, I will stack some Mets against Pablo Lopez after they pummeled him for seven runs in the first inning the last time they faced him. New York also wants to erase the stench of Friday night’s loss. Pete Alonso hit two home runs last night and has eight home runs, 18 RBI and 17 runs scored in road games. Spend the 5,400. Robinson Cano is hitting .304 with 11 RBI and 15 runs scored vs. RHPs. He is only 3,700. Leadoff man Brandon Nimmo is just 3,600, although he could be moved down in the order if Jeff McNeil (4,200) returns. If Nimmo gets pushed down you could still consider him to round out the stack. J.D. Davis could be in the lineup after a night game and may have a Top 5 or so spot in the lineup to warrant using him at 3,700.
Kevin Gausman has pitched better at home than on the road this year, but he will be up against a potent Brewers lineup that I like both for stacking and individual picks. I will just have to spend up for Christian Yelich at 5,800 and also note that Ryan Braun (4,900) is hitting .306 with 17 RBI and 17 runs scored vs. RHPs. Keston Hiura is just 3,400 and Mike Moustakas (4,500) has 16 RBI and 17 runs scored in away games.
Wade LeBlanc has a 5.40 ERA in home games so far this year, so the Twins stack is my favorite tonight and I urge you to get in any individual hitters you can. Marwin Gonzalez is just 3400 and has started to come back to life recently. Jorge Polanco will be well worth the 5100. I would also consider Jonathan Schoop (3,700) and C.J. Cron (4,100) for some pop and Willians Astudillo (3,800) as well. There are some friendly Minnesota prices to play with tonight.
I will have to get in a Giants bat or two against Zach Godley and his 7.85 home ERA. Brandon Belt is 4,100 and has 15 RBI and 16 runs scored vs. RHPs. Pablo Sandoval is worth a roll of the dice at the same price when you consider he is hitting .317 with five homers and 14 RBI vs. righties.
Jakob Junis has a .291 road BAA and a 5.77 overall ERA, so I may slip an Angel or two into my lineups. Tommy La Stella has proved he is well worth the 4,700 and I will take the shot on Shohei Ohtani at 4,400.
