NHL Betting Picks Monday 4/5

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 4/5. The Model went 1-1-1 yesterday. The over in the Wings/Lightning game hit but surprisingly it was the Red Wings who carried that with a 5-1 win over the Lightning. The Devils hung around but ultimately lost 5-4, and then the Canes pushed with a 1-0 victory over the Stars. On to Monday.

We have 7 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

Dashboard Edges

  • Flyers Puck Line (+1.5, -175) over the Bruins
  • Oilers Money Line (+117) over the Canadiens
  • Canadiens Puck Line (-1.5, +185) over the Oilers
  • Jets Money Line (-200) and Puck Line (-1.5, +120) over the Senators
  • Wild Puck Line (+1.5, -177) over the Avalanche
  • Golden Knights Money Line (-140) and Puck Line (-1.5, +180) over the Blues
  • Maple Leafs Money Line (-157) over the Flames

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Golden Knights ML (-140): Vegas is coming off back-to-back losses against the Wild. Combined with their loss to LA last Wednesday and you’ve got a 3 game losing streak. However St. Louis is on a 6-game skid earning a single point out of 12 in that stretch. Both teams are going to come out strong tonight and should have the makings of a playoff atmosphere. Vegas is the better team though and with Husso likely in net for the Blues, we should feel comfortable riding them at this price.

Senators/Jets Over 6 (-110): These 2 teams enjoy scoring goals and don’t care too much for stopping them. They’ve hit at least 6 goals in 3 of 5 matchups this season. Ottawa averages 3.66 goals against/game and the Jets average 3.16 goals for/game. Ottawa is better on the road at hitting overs (53%) than overall (42%). Winnipeg allows the most High Danger Chances Against in the league, let’s hope Ottawa is able to convert a few tonight.

NHL Betting Picks Saturday 4/3

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Saturday 4/3. The Model went 2-1, technically 2-2 if you count my extremely biased Devils ML play that I only took because I was at the game. I still don’t know how that Avs/Blues over didn’t hit, but at least we got Coyotes ML and our dog Sharks ML. Not a bad night.

We have 11 games on the NHL slate today starting with 2 games at 1:00. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Penguins Money Line (+100) over the Bruins
  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, -137) over the Red Wings
  • Canadiens Puck Line (-1.5, +108) over the Bruins
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-155) over the Stars
  • Panthers Money Line (-159) over the Blue Jackets
  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, +100) and Money Line (-250) over the Sabres
  • Islanders Puck Line (-1.5, +143) over the Flyers
  • Islanders/Flyers Over (5.5, -120)
  • Avalanche Puck Line (-1.5, +102) over the Blues

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Free Picks

Flyers/Islanders Over 5.5 (-120): The Flyers are on a sharp downward trajectory and they are letting in goals at an alarmingly high rate over the last month (75 goals, 4.4 goals/game). The Islanders who don’t usually score goals have actually been generating a high number of chances and goals. The Flyers hit their overs at 82% on the road (highest in the league) and the Islanders hit their overs at 71% at home, so let’s get some goals here.

Rangers -1.5 (+100): We are going to give this another try today. The Rangers won in OT on Thursday but dominated the game. They are facing the better goaltender for Buffalo in Ullmark. They led Buffalo in High Danger Chances (19-8), Scoring Chances (29-17) and Expected Goals (3.38-1.88). Getting this at even odds is great which is why we are taking it tonight.

Premium Pick

Senators ML (+215): I hate doing this but the edge is there. The Senators have given the Canadiens all sorts of trouble this season winning 3 of their 5 meetings. Do they have any business winning this game? Nope. But The Model has their line priced +175 so there is a monster edge on the +215 line which forces my hand here.

NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 2/23

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 2/23. A solid 2-1 night including our +155 dog Calgary Flames dominating the North Division-leading Toronto Maple Leafs 3-0. We have 6 games on the slate today let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today:

To interact with the dashboard click here.

The biggest edges leveraging the dashboard are the Oilers ML (-130) against the Canucks, Canadians -1.5 (+116) against the Senators, and Devils ML (-127) against the Sabres.

Keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies here.

My Picks:

Devils ML -127: The Devils are finally fully healthy and taking on a Sabres team that actually defeated them 3-2 on Saturday, their only win in the last 6 games. Blackwood is starting for the Devils which gives them the goaltending edge and I think they get some revenge tonight. Let’s just hope most of this game is played at Even Strength as the Devils sport the worst Penalty Kill and a bottom 10 Power Play in the league.

Blackhawks ML +115: The Blackhawks have been a surprise this season led by Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat while getting stellar goaltending from rookie Kevin Lankinen, who is confirmed as the starter. This line should be closer to even as the Blue Jackets have underperformed this year. The Blackhawks have an edge in goaltending and special teams which is why we are taking the underdog here.

Jacob’s Above Average Plays are back after a few days off with three winners. He’s got one NBA and two NHL plays that are under the radar and we’re getting great value because of it. Make sure you get in on these plays so you can cash too!

Take Detroit Pistons -1 1st Quarter versus Cleveland Cavaliers ( 7:00 pm EST, Tuesday 7 December 2020)

Here we have two teams that are struggling, to say the least. Both the Pistons and the Cavaliers have had to deal with multiple injury issues this year, and it has obviously caused issues for their teams. Both teams have experienced, above-average players – but they do not have a great supporting cast and it is causing problems.

Cavalier’s long-time starter, Kevin Love, is the most frustrated player on the Cavaliers. He had an epic meltdown on Saturday following their pregame shoot around directed at Cav’s General Manager, Koby Altman, and the rest of the front office staff with Love stating there was “no feel here”. If you don’t know what that means, as a former basketball player let me explain: When there is “no feel” on a basketball team, it’s like five individuals playing their own game when you should be playing as a team. As you might imagine, that can be incredibly frustrating. Love then had a terrible game that night, scoring just twelve points in a 121-106 loss to the Thunder. So far this year, Love had been second in scoring on the team, averaging about eighteen points per game. Last night, it was announced that the Cavaliers have asked Kevin Love to help them trade him, which makes an awkward situation for everyone. The rest of the Cavaliers have struggled this year as well. The team has won fourteen of the thirty-six games played, but the focus here is the first quarter – so let’s get into that. This year, the Cavs are ranked 28th in the NBA in first-quarter points scored, with just 25.6 points. They have covered the spread in the first quarter just thirteen times this year out of the thirty-six played. At home, it has been even worse. Out of the nineteen home games played at home, the Cavs have covered in just five of those games. I have tried to find something about the Cavaliers that is above-average, but I can’t. They rank in the bottom 20 in just about every offensive stat, including points per game, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, field goal percentage, three-point percentage/made, and more. The only thing I can find that is above-average about the Cav’s is how bad they are.

The Pistons have not exactly been a good team either. However, I believe (when healthy) that they can be. Detroit has been awful on the road, winning just six of the eighteen road games played – but at least I can find some above-average stats on them. As a team, they have a shooting percentage of 46%, which is good for 10th in the NBA. They are ranked third in three-pointers (37%), seventh in forced turnovers (14.1), and 5th in opponent rebounds (43.2). Detroit has been led by Andre Drummond, who is above-average in most of his stats this year. Scoring an average of seventeen ppg, grabbing an average of thirteen rebounds, a questionable Tristan Thompson, and Kevin Love appearing uninterested in playing for Cleveland  – he should have a phenomenal game. The team has also been starting off hot in games. Overall, the Pistons have covered in the first quarter in twenty-two of their thirty-seven games, but it’s an even better record on the road. Detroit has covered against the spread in twelve of the nineteen games played on the road, which lands them at a way above-average 63%.

With the announcement that the Cavs are pushing to have Kevin Love traded in addition to the consistent locker room drama – I see them struggling a lot in this game. The Pistons have covered the first quarter spread in seven of their last ten games, and I see them coming out hot and trying to put Cleveland away early.

Take Colorado Avalanche vs New York Rangers OVER 1.5 1st Period -150 (7:30 pm EST, Tuesday 7 December 2020)

Here we have two above-average offenses that love to score and score early. The Avalanche are ranked second (28-15) in the NHL going over the total in the first period, and the Rangers are ranked second (26-15). The Avalanche are also tallying an above-average amount of shots on goal per game, almost 33 (32.98), which ranks them first in the NHL in shots on goal per game. However, the Rangers are shooting a ton of shots on goal as well: With 29.83 shots on goal per game, they are ranked 11th in shots on goal per game. Both teams are scoring an above-average amount of goals per game (Col 3.63 gpg/NYR 3.24 gpg) and I see this being a back and forth, high scoring game. While both teams are hitting the over in the first period more than 60% of the time, the Avalanche is even better on the road. When on the road this year, Colorado has gone over the first period total in seventeen out of twenty-two games for an outrageous 77.3%.

This is going to be a fast-paced, high scoring game. The Avalanche played last night, so I see them having some tired legs on defense which bodes well for a Rangers team playing on two days rest. Take OVER 1.5 goals in the first period.

(For this play to win, the score in the first period must go OVER 1.5 goals. Shop around as some places have gone to two goals.)

Take Washington Capitals -1.5 versus Ottawa Senators ( 7:00 pm EST, Tuesday 7 December 2020)

This game features two teams that could not be on more opposite ends of the spectrum. The Senators have been bottom feeders all this season, while the Capitals are the best team in the East. The Capitals are at home tonight and that spells trouble for the Senators.

This year, the Senators have been one of the worst defensive and offensive teams on the road. Ottawa has only been able to put together five road wins out of the twenty-two they have played. Scoring just 2.36 gpg and allowing 3.82 gpg, they are continuously beaten up on the road. Overall hasn’t been any better, either. They have won just sixteen of their forty-two games, and haven’t won in the last six. The fact that they have been playing so bad heading into this game is not good. The Capitals have dominated the Senators as of late, while the Senators have won just once in the last ten versus Washington, with an average score of 3.4 to 1.8.

The Capitals, on the other hand, are above-average in just about everything and it shows. Winning twenty-nine of the forty-three played, including 12-8 at home, they have been hard to beat. The Capitals are also averaging 3.6 goals per game, and that is well above average when compared to the rest of the league which averages 3.07 gpg. The Capitals are also owners of an above-average defense. They give up about three goals per game (2.95) to visiting teams when playing at home. They have dominated Ottawa and really do not like to let them score, which will continue tonight.

Washington is playing their perennial punching bag, the Ottawa Senators. There is nothing that has happened recently to change my mind on that, so I’m laying the goals with Washington. Take the Capitals -1.5 goals versus Ottawa.

After hopefully an Above Average weekend it’s time to get back to the daily grind. Jacob hasn’t stopped working to find you Jacob’s Above Average plays that will help you rebound from a rough weekend or to keep your heater going.

Take Toronto Raptors -11 versus Cleveland Cavaliers (7:30pm EST, Monday 16 December 2019)

Cleveland has just been bad this year. I mean, really above-average levels of awful. They have lost nine out of ten games straight up, and have covered just four times in their last sixteen games. They rank 29th in total overall offense, 26th in made field goal percentage, 27th in three-pointers made, and 22nd in rebounds. In their last five games, they have lost by more than fifteen points in all but two of them, and are even worse on the road. Cleveland has lost it’s last five games to the Eastern Conference, losing to the Atlantic Division specifically. The only thing that’s above average on this team would be their defensive rebounds, which rank 7th in the NBA. Their defense is ranked 20th in overall defense. None of this sounds good when you know they are taking on the Raptors at home. The Raptors have not been their above-average selves as of late. They have covered just once in their last six games, and go into this game with Fred Vanvleet soaking in doubt. Overall, however, they have been playing well. They have won nine of the last thirteen games, and have won eight of their last ten versus the Eastern Conference. They are the owners of an above-average offense, which ranks 15th overall, 4th in three-pointers, and 6th in offensive rebounds. The one place I see the Raptors struggling is on the defensive boards. They rank 30th in defensive rebounds and have to take on Tristan Thompson – who has been great on defensive rebounds. I see this as more than just an average win. I see an above-average blowout coming, as a bad Cleveland team doesn’t have what it takes to go into Toronto and keep it close.

Take Florida Panthers to win in regulation -185 versus Ottawa Senators (7:05 pm EST, Monday 16 December 2019)

Tonight, we see an Atlantic Division matchup between two teams headed in the wrong direction. The Senators have been playing above average from what we are used to seeing from them. They took down Columbus 4-3 in overtime in their last game, but it should not have been that close. They had a two-goal lead in the third period, before letting the Blue Jackets pump two in to force overtime. They have allowed almost four goals per game on the road, and now take on a team who is above average on offense – allowing the Panthers to exploit the Senators’ weak defense. Ottawa is allowing an average of almost thirty-three shots on goal per game, while the Panthers average over 34 shots on goal per game at home. These are two fast-paced teams who lead the NHL in period total overs (more on that later), and I expect to see some goals here as well. This bodes well for the Panthers’ superior offense, and that will be important in the final minutes of this game – which I believe it comes down to. That said, the Panthers have been struggling. They have won just three of their last ten games, including winning just one of the last seven versus the Eastern Conference. I would also mention that their schedule has been tough: Their last six games include Boston, NY Islanders, Tampa Bay, San Jose, Columbus, and Minnesota. The Panthers have been on a long homestand that will be coming to an end soon, and they need this win before hitting the road. I do not like the price at -200, and I believe Florida gets it done in regulation – so, I’m grabbing the much better price at -140.

Take YES – Goal in the 1st 10 minutes Ottawa Senators versus Florida Panthers (7:05 pm EST, Monday 16 December 2019)

The Senators rank far above average when it comes to having a goal scored in the first ten minutes of their games. So far this year: They rank 7th (which is 21-11 and/or 64.5%) with goals scored in the first ten minutes. Florida does not have a great defense, and neither does the Senators. I see a lot of goals in the game, to begin with, and I think it definitely starts early.

Take OVER 1.5 Goals in the 2nd Period Ottawa Senators versus Florida Panthers (7:05 pm EST, Monday 16 December 2019)

The Panthers rank far above average when it comes to scoring over 1.5 goals in the 2nd period. They are top ten in the NHL, scoring over 1.5 in the 2nd period twenty-three out of thirty-two games. The Senators are 20-14 for going over 1.5 goals in the 2nd period, which should help out. Like I said before – I see a lot of goals in this game, take the over.

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets is back for another round of sports betting information andhopefully more winning picks like the Raptors covering the seven points lastnight. It took overtime, but that’s okay because Cashwith Flash Best Bets has been on the wrong side of a bunch of NHLovertime games, so we were due for some overtime luck to go our way.

The National Basketball Association has a full slate of games on tap and the main thing Cash with Flash Best Bets wants you to remember about the NBA is this;

It’s a longseason.

What we mean by this is we don’t have a sense of urgency as we do with the NFL and NCAA. The season is much longer and we don’t need to chase every game and wager more than we should on any one game because a LOT can happen in these early games.

Coaches don’thave their rotations set; some players are slow starters while other playersget off to a fast start and then fade away.

The NBA is uniquethis season as the majority of the 2019 Free Agent class-switched teams andthat affects the chemistry of the teams and more importantly the defense.

Bankroll Management

Cash with Flash Best Bets can’t stress enough how important managing your bankroll is to your long-term success. I don’t know your personal financial situation or what your goals are but hopefully, you are using some type of bankroll management plan to help you reach them.

Slack Chat

Our sports betting slack chat seems to be increasing inparticipation and that’s a good thing. That channel is available for our Goldand Platinum subscribers and a good way for you to get some one-on-one adviceand someone is always there to help with your questions and offer advice ifneeded.

Detroit Pistons vs Indiana Pacers

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Indiana -7.5 Points

Indianaopened as a five-point favorite and when Pistons forward Blake Griffin wasruled out the spread quickly jumped to 7.5 points. Indiana had a top-threedefense last season and the acquisition of MalcolmBrogdon and T.J. Warrenenhances that defense.

Detroit had a Top 15 defense last season and look for summer free-agent signees Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris to contribute right away. Morris will likely take Griffin’s minutes and he will bring a toughness to the frontcourt.

The Pacers are at home and they’ll be excited to return to the court after a very successful season. They won’t have Victor Oladipo in the lineup for tonight’s tilt but haven’t had him on the floor since January 23, 2019, and still finished as the fourth seed. Indiana has the better starting unit and a better bench and Cash with Flash Best Bets suggests laying the wood and playing the Pacers to cover the 7.5 points spread tonight.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Orlando Magic

Cash withFlash Best Bets: Orlando Magic -8 Points

Clevelandwas one of the worst teams in the NBA last season and will likely be again in2020. That’s what happens when the best player in the league leaves withoutcompensation. The Cavaliers still have All-Star Kevin Lovealong with TristanThompson, Larry NanceJr, and JordanClarkson but for how much longer is anyone’s guess. They also have rookieNBA Head Coach John Beilein at the helm. Their key acquisition thissummer was first-round draft pick Darius Garlandand BrandonKnight and that should tell you all you need to know about theCavaliers.

Orlandoadded Al-Farouq Aminu to the team this summer and he’ll make last seasonseighth-ranked defense that much better. The Magic frontcourt of Nikola Vucevic,AaronGordon and Jonathan Isaacare much better than anything the Cavaliers can send out on the floor. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests laying the spread and taking theMagic to convincingly defeat the Cavaliers in this contest.

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets likes the following NBA games tonight.

ChicagoBulls -3 over Charlotte Hornets

Philadelphia76ers -5 over Boston Celtics

SanAntonio Spurs -10 over New York Knicks

Utah Jazz-9 over Oklahoma City Thunder

The NationalHockey League has two games on tap and Cash with Flash Best Bets like bothgames.

OttawaSenators -130 over Detroit Red Wings

Tampa BayLightning -190 over Pittsburgh Penguins

Cash withthe Flash Best Betshad a strong day yesterday with our NHL picks, winning both plays with plusmoney outcomes. Anaheim took care of business over Columbus at +125 and theCarolina Panthers defeated the New York Islanders by two goals for a +155profit on the night. Cashwith the Flash Bets went undefeated for the first time this week and weare elated about this.

That’snearly 300 bucks if you bet $100 dollars per game and considering how roughthis week has been at Cashwith the Flash Best Bets, it was a nice Friday night win.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets still has over a week before the NBA regular season kicks in and when it does, this column will be very busy.

Saturday has a full slate of National Hockey League games beginning at 1:00 pm ET so Cash with the Flash Best Bets need to get cracking!!

Edmonton Oilers vs New YorkRangers

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: New York Rangers -135

This onebegins at 1:00 pm ET and Edmonton is undefeated but none of their wins has comeagainst above .500 hockey teams. New York is also undefeated and has a qualitywin over the Winnipeg Jets and the other came against the Ottawa Senators. TheOilers are planning on starting MikkoKoskinen and the Rangers will likely counter with HenrikLundqvist guarding the cage.

Why theRangers?

It’s anearly start and let’s face it; New York City has plenty of things for young mento do at night and these young fellas from Edmonton are no exception. Koskinenhas been very good this season, but he hasn’t faced a good offense yet and theRangers have a good offense and the most successful power-play unit in the NHLthis season. New York also has Lundqvist and while his numbers don’t fairlyreflect a Hall of Fame career, he still is one of the best to ever put ongoalie pads and should be able to handle the Oilers this afternoon. Cash withthe Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Rangers to beat the Oilers onSaturday.

Tampa BayLightning vs Ottawa Senators

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Tampa Bay -1.5 Goals +115

This onebegins at 4:00 pm ET and the Tampa Bay Lightning is just 2-2 this season andcoming off a 7-3 thumping over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto. Ottawa iswinless in three tries and has scored eight goals over their past three games. It looks like AndreiVasilevskiy will guard the cage for Tampa Bay and CraigAnderson has been confirmed to start between the pipes for theSenators.

Why TampaBay?

We can’tplay the -260-money line price because there isn’t any value in that price. We can’tpick the Senators because Anderson has poor advanced metrics and aninexperienced blueline and up against a Lightning offense that has scored 18goals over their past four games with the reigning Vezina Trophy winnercrouching in the crease. If Tampa Bay beats Ottawa, and Cash with the FlashBest Bets believes the Lightning will defeat the Senators, it will likely be bymore than two goals. Cash with theFlash Best Bets suggests playing Tampa Bay to defeat Ottawa by morethan two goals on Saturday.

NashvillePredators vs Los AngelesKings

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Nashville Predators -1.5 Goals +165

This is a6:00 pm ET start, and Nashville brings a 3-1-0 record into this contest and it’slikely that PekkaRinne will start in goal for the Predators. Los Angeles is 1-2-0 thisseason and likely guarding the cage for their Saturday home opener is JonathonQuick.

WhyNashville?

The money line price is okay at -155 but these are the Kings and playing in their home opener and while they would like to put on a good show for their home fans, the Predators are solid and have an experienced goaltender in Rinne patrolling the crease. Quick has been brutal this season and his inexperienced blueline shoulders part of the blame. Neither side’s special team is anything to write home about, but the Predators should be able to win this game against the Kings. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Predators to defeat the Kings by two goals or more Saturday evening.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets took the day off yesterday and we are sure glad we did. Instead, we were lucky enough to talk about Bankroll Management and Cash with the Flash Best Bets is excited about the positive feedback we received yesterday. It’s always nice to know people are reading what Cash with the Flash Best Bets offers daily at Win Daily Sports.

It’s time toCash with the Flash!!

ThursdayNight Football

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: UNDER 41 Points

We have theNew York Football Giants take on the New England Patriots in Foxboro and while Cashwith the Flash Bets Bets likes the Patriots tonight, the 16.5 points aren’tsomething we are interested in. The Sharps have been pounding the total thatnow sits at 41 points in most Vegas shops and online as low as 40.5 points withmost online books offering 41.5 points.

The Giants’ defense is awful, and the Patriots defense is putting up historic defensive numbers with 11 interceptions and 24 sacks this season. The Giants will be missing Sequan Barkley, Evan Engram, Sterling Shepherd, and Wayne Gallman and that make it more difficult for the Giants offense Thursday night.

There’s always the danger of a defensive letdown, or a Patriots offensive explosion against a very weak Giants defense, but Cash with the Flash Best Bets expects neither to be the case on Thursday. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the UNDER in this game.

NHLHockey

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: St Louis -1.5 Goals, Washington Capitals +125

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets likes tonights 11 game slate because we like hockey aroundhere. There are a couple of interesting matchups we will be watching but only acouple of games have our betting attention on Thursday night.

TheBlues?

The St Louis Blues heads to Ottawa for a 7:30 pm ET matchup with the Senators and Ottawa is benching goaltender Craig Anderson in favor of Anders Nilsson. We feel that’s an exploitable matchup and with Jordan Binnington starting in goal for St Louis, we feel confident the Blues will beat the Senators by two goals or more on Thursday night. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing St Louis to cover the -1.5-goal spread.

TheCapitals?

It isn’t veryoften when we can get the Washington Capitals at +125 and whenever we do, welike to take advantage of this. Especially with the game-opening with Washingtona -150 favorite. The Capitals have lost two straight and folks are panickingbecause they face the Nashville Predators and their six-game winning streakover the Capitals. Nashville is also hosting this 8:00 pm tilt and even thatdoesn’t keep Cash with the Flash Best Bets off Washington.

The Capitalshaven’t lost a game in regulation yet and a couple of breaks go their way andthey are undefeated this season. Capitals goaltender BradenHoltby has been unlucky, and we look for a big game from him against Predatorsgoaltender PekkaRinne. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing Washington to defeatNashville Thursday night.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets had a winning MLB day yesterday, thanks in small part to a resilient Washington Nationals side that never gave up and some bad luck on a misplayed ball that could happen nearly every day, But this one particular error will live on in infamy because of when it happened.

https://twitter.com/bubbaprog/status/1179259777920241665?s=20

Either way Cash with the Flash Best Bets pumps out another winner and if you played the Nationals as we suggested, you are likely a happy camper this Wednesday morning!

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets has plenty on our plate todayand we must get after it. Let’s begin with tonight’s American League Wild Cardgame being played at the Oakland Coliseum between the Tampa Bay Rays andOakland Athletics.

Tampa Bay Rays vs OaklandAthletics

Charlie Morton (16-6, 3.05) vs Sean Manaea (4-0, 1.21)

Cash with the Flash Best Bets isn’t sure what kind of baseball game we’ll see tonight but the numbers are much better than last night, and we are thankful for this. We get it right and Cash with the Flash!!

Tampa Bay (+120)

Tampa Bay has won seven of its last 10 games but has a two-game losing streak thanks to a couple of bad road losses to close the season in Toronto. The Rays have been a solid road team this season with a 48-33 record away from Tropicana Field and have a +113-run differential.

Morton has allowed nine earned runs over his past 29.2 innings pitched with a 1.08 WHIP and his 3.28 xFIP suggests maybe Morton has been a bit lucky this season but the Rays will take his 3.28 xFIP every day of the week. Morton strikes out 11.10 per nine while allowing 2.64 walks and 0.69 home runs allowed per nine innings pitched this season.

Tampa Bay scored 15 runs over their last five games and boasta .167 ISO and .319 ISO with 60home runs this season against left-handed pitching.

Oakland (-135)

Oakland has won six of its last 10 games and lost their last game of the regular season at Seattle. Oakland has a 53-29 record at home this season with a +165-run differential over their 162-games.

Manaea hasallowed four earned runs over the last 29.2 innings pitched with a 0.78 WHIPand his 3.98 xFIP suggests maybe some luck has been involved in his recentsuccess and maybe regression is headed his way. The lefty strikesout 9.10 per nine innings with 2.12 walks and 0.91 home runs allowed per nineinnings pitched.

The Athletics have scored 11 runs over their last five gameswith a .194 ISO and .323 wOBA with 177home runs this season against right-handed pitching.

Why Cash with the Flash Likes Tampa Bay

It’s hard not to like a team that wins like Oakland does at home and especially in a one-off winner take all game like this one. Both pitchers have had special seasons with elite WHIP numbers and know how to limit runs. Morton dominated the Athletics in both his starts this season and I suspect the same will hold true on Wednesday night. Manaea has been great but he’s only pitched 29.2 innings and that xFIP number nearly triples his ERA and that scares me.

The clincher for me is the Rays bullpen; they boast the best bullpen this season and over the last 30 days and I suspect Morton will turn the game over to the bullpen with a lead and the Rays outstanding bullpen will close the door. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Tampa Bay Rays to defeat the Oakland Athletics Wednesday night in Oakland.

Ottawa Senators(+250) vs TorontoMaple Leafs (-280)

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Toronto -1.5 Goals

This is the Battle for Ontario series and its special to both fanbases. Ottawa is projected to be one of the worst teams in the NHL and Toronto is a possible Stanley Cup contender. Toronto is playing at home and has far too much firepower for the young Senators to handle. This will be a physical hockey game and the Maple Leafs defense is much stronger than the Senators. Leafs goaltender Frederich Anderson is a Top 15 goaltender in the NHL with a 92.7 xSV% and is much better than Senators goaltender Craig Anderson, and has a much better defense. We can’t play the Leafs on the Money Line, so Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing Toronto to defeat Ottawa by two goals Wednesday night.

WashingtonCapitals (+120) vs St Louis Blues(-140)

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: WashingtonCapitals +120

Cash with the Flash Best Bets likes the Capitals tonight. They return their top six goal scorers from a 48-win team and are likely angry about getting bounced in the first round of the 2019 NHL playoffs. They’ll be forced to watch the Blues raise their Championship Banner at Enterprise Center and that should inspire them. Washington will have Braden Holtby between the pipes and he’s coming off a strong 91.58 xSV% up against the middle of the road Blues offense.

St Louis returns the majority of last year’s club and thiswill be an emotional night for last season’s unlikely NHL Champions. Bluesgoaltender JordanBinnington was other-worldly last season and the expectations of a repeat13.52 GSAA might be a bit much and he’s facing one of the best scoring clubs inthe NHL. St Louis rode the hot hand of Binnington and is just an averagescoring team and Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing Washington to defeat StLouis Wednesday night in St Louis.
