11/5 NHL – Main Slate

Top Four Lines

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron

After smashing the Penguins 6-4 on Monday Night, the Bruins will be back at work tonight. The B’s have a matchup on the road against the mediocre Montreal Canadians and once again should produce. This line is a nightly writeup so I am not sure what more needs to be said about them at this point. Individually, you can use Pasta for a one off if just looking to fill out a cash line but as the last few slates have shown, ideally you want all three in order to collect all of the goals and assists. I don’t think you necessarily need all three for cash tonight so I think the Pasta one off is fine in that context but stacking makes sense for tournaments. Their ownership might be a bit lighter than usual given the big slate. The odds just came out at the time of writing with Boston a -120 road favorite which seems a bit low.

New York Islanders One – Mathew Barzal, Anders Lee, Josh Bailey

The Islanders currently come in a slate high -260 favorite just edging the Toronto Maple Leafs for the honor. The Ottawa Senators performed very well last night, particularly on the offensive end, as they smoked the Rangers 6-2. However, now they find themselves on the second end of a back to back, this time against a much stronger team defensively. I think with Ottawa’s open play there will be many high danger opportunities for the Islanders on the counter attack.

The best way to approach this spot comes in the form of the three man pairing of Mathew Barzal, Anders Lee, and Josh Bailey. All three also share time on the New York Islanders power play unit giving them add opportunity and correlation. They will be able to match at their pleasure being at home, so in a good position to exploit Ottawa’s worst defensive lines. If looking to pair an Islanders defenseman, there are two primary choices. Ryan Pulock has first line correlation and Devin Toews shares ice time with all three of the aforementioned skaters on the power play. It all comes down to which arrangement you are looking to exploit. If looking for a cheap one off play not affiliated with the top line, Derek Brassard has been en fuego with goals in all of his last five games.

Toronto One – Andreas Johnsson, William Nylander, and Austin Matthews, Morgan Rielly (Add-On)

We have west coast team that allows a lot of shots coming to the east coast to face a Toronto team capable of putting up their fair share. Jonathan Quick will be in net for the Kings and he has been nothing short of a disaster this season with a 4.55 GAA and .858 save %. I would expect this line to get the most ownership on the night and be the most common line in cash lines. At minimum, I would make sure to have Austin Matthews in cash as he is the standout play of the three. Morgan Rielly has not been producing quite on the level one would expect, although the absence of John Tavares might be an factor. That being said, I think in a tournament stack I would find a way to fit him in alongside the other three in order to increase the potential upside in case Toronto goes off.

San Jose One – Evander Kane, Kevin Labanc, Thomas Hertl, Erik Karlsson (Add-On), Brent Burns (Add-On) – This line is much better on FanDuel

On FanDuel, this line gets a huge discount so I like them a lot more there. It’s not optimal to try to attack Robin Lehner. Therefore, this play gets a boost if Corey Crawford is in net by any means given that prior to the day off Lehner had appearances in two games. This line also has full power play correlation so there is no concern there. If you were trying to pick off just one it would be Evander Kane who stands out, but it would make more sense to run this line together. From there, Erik Karlsson is still fairly cheap on DraftKings and he has the power play correlation with this line. Meanwhile, Brent Burns is paired alongside them on the first line. Both of those defenseman can also be used as standalone plays alongside lines from other teams as they have individual upside as well.

Honorable Mentions: Carolina Two – Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, Warren Foegele; Winnipeg One – Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor

David Pastrnak – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points – Despite everything that he does on a nightly basis, this threshold of 5.5 Fantasy Points doesn’t seem to go up at all. I don’t think I have ever wrote him up here to not have him meet the over. Hopefully, I didn’t just jinx him.

Dougie Hamilton – Over 3.5 Fantasy Points – This seems like another safe bet given the wide variety of Dougie Hamilton’s nightly contributions at the moment.

11/3 NHL – Main Slate

With a small two game slate on tap, as always in these situations, I recommend entering single entry tournaments and cash games early before they fill out. Remember there is an even bigger disadvantage firing off single bullets in MME contests on such a small slate. On a limited slate like this, I will provide my top expensive line and top value line.

Top Expensive Line

Washington One – Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, T.J. Oshie, John Carlson

At minimum, the best way to utilize this line is a two man combination of Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson. They had directly contributed on each others goals more than any other combination in the NHL prior to entering the weekend. Both have incredible floors, particularly on DraftKings where Ovechkin and Carlson regularly receive the shot bonus. From there you can add on T.J. Oshie and Nicklas Backstrom as you wish. Calgary will be traveling to Washington on a back to back and the Capitals should be able to pick apart the matchups to their benefit. All four of the aforementioned skaters belong to the top power play unit, thus providing double correlation.

Top Value Line

Anaheim Two – Adam Henrique, Richard Rakell, and Jacob Silfverberg

I would consider a game stack using the Calgary top line for tournaments. However, with the Ducks a -170 favorite at the time of writing versus a Chicago team a back to back, might as well roll with a line from the other game in cash. Although Ryan Getzlaf has been hot as of late, the rest of the Anaheim top line is not too impressive. I would rather opt for the balance of the second pairing consisting of Adam Henrique, Richard Rakell, and Jacob Silfverberg. With the savings that this trio provides it should allow us to put together balanced lineups. Furthermore, Chicago has not been a good defensive team for awhile now, particularly on the road. The Ducks get an extra bump as Robin Lehner was forced to enter the game against the Kings so they will get to face the struggling Corey Crawford who was pulled in Los Angeles after giving up two quick goals.

11/3 NHL DraftKings Rankings

11/3 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Alex Ovechkin – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points – I expect a bounce back game from the “Great Eight” in what should be a shootout. Therefore, be sure to start your Monkey Knife Fight bets here tonight.

John Gibson – Over 30.5 Saves – It is likely that the Blackhawk’s road woes continue here. It is just a matter of whether or not they can put up enough shot volume.

11/2 NHL – Main Slate

Top Three Lines

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron

On this slate, you will begin your cash lines with the much heralded trio that is the Boston top line, at least on FanDuel. On DraftKings with some of the value lines listed below you might opt for more balance or simply a Pasta one off. Nevertheless, the Bruins are projected for a slate high 4.33 goals and come in a very heavy -330 favorite. Individually, Pasta is the top play as he comes into the night leading the NHL with 11 goals so far this season. Next, I would turn to Brad Marchand based on the consistency he has shown during the Bruins early run. However, I don’t think you try to split this line apart in tournaments as they have the potential to connect for quite a few top line goals in this juicy matchup and you will want all of their collective points.

Carolina Two – Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, Warren Foegele “punt but not necessary”, recommended add on Dougie Hamilton, Jake Gardiner “another potential punt”

Last night both Hurricanes lines ate as they cruised to a slate high seven goals. Projected for 3.69 goals tonight, they should produce once again, at home against the defensively inept Devils who are also on a back to back. The awful MacKenzie Blackwood will be in goal for New Jersey with his .876 save %. The newly minted Carolina Two line looks like the heart and soul of this team. Sebastian Aho finally lit it up with a three point night, and Andrei Svechnikov continued his rampant pace last night with a goal and an assist. At minimum, I would use those two.

If adding on, you can either run the complete second line with Warren Foegele if needed, or run an alternative three man combining Aho and Svechnikov with Dougie Hamilton or Jake Gardiner. Hamilton’s production speaks for itself so if you have the money he is the best option to weave in. Both defenseman receive power play time thus enhancing the correlation. On DraftKings specifically, it might be wise to use Carolina as a value piece to fit a second more expensive line as they are still simply too cheaply priced. If you need more savings, the Carolina top line of Jordan Staal, Teuvo Teravainen, and Nino Niederreiter, is also in play.

Florida One – Aleksander Barkov, Evgenii Dadonov, Jonathan Huberdeau

This pick will likely bring a smile to Javi’s face but following getting smashed 7-3 by the aforementioned Carolina Hurricanes, the Red Wings will be taking their talents to South Beach on a back to back. The Panthers are projected for 4.11 goals as a -270 favorite and much like Boston above there is no question which line to use. The top pairing of Aleksander Barkov, Evgenii Dadonov, and Jonathan Huberdeau features three of the team’s four top healthy players “Mike Hoffman the exception”. All three also star on the top power play unit so the trio has full correlation throughout. I don’t think you need to add on any defensemen or anything here as if you have the money to pay up for Aaron Ekblad, you might as well find the extra money for someone like Dougie Hamilton. Much like Carolina, we get a huge discount on this team on DraftKings for whatever reason in terms of pricing.

Honorable Mention: Las Vegas Two – Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, Paul Stastny, Nate Schmidt “Add on for Power Play”

11/2 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Five Forwards/Centers

  1. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,200
  2. Aleksander Barkov – Florida Panthers- $6,000
  3. Andrei Svechnikov – Carolina Hurricanes – $6,200
  4. Sebastian Aho – Carolina Hurricanes – $5,800
  5. Brad Marchand – Boston Bruins – $7,800

  1. Dougie Hamilton – Carolina Hurricanes – $6,600
  2. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,200
  3. Jake Gardiner – Carolina Hurricanes – $3,200
  4. Rasmus Andersson – Calgary Flames – $2,900
  5. Keith Yandle – Florida Panthers – $4,300

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Tukka Rask – Boston Bruins – $8,400
  2. Semyon Varlamov – New York Islanders – $7,200

11/2 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

David Pastrnak – Over 6.5 Fantasy Points – A reliable source of income for anyone placing these bets, the NHL’s scoring leader should be good for a couple points at home against the young Senators.

Andrei Svechnikov > Andy Greene – Shots on Goal plus Blocks – Is this a joke? Monkey Knife Fight is tossing you a softball here. You have a young emerging star who is dropping points last crazy and on the other side, an old second line journeyman defenseman.

11/1 NHL – Main Slate

Top Three Lines

Carolina One – Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Andrei Svechnikov, Dougie Hamilton – As of the time of the writing, the Hurricanes are the largest favorite on the slate at -290. The Red Wings were just abused by the Oilers and after coming alive late last game, this is a chance for Carolina to put on a show for the home fans. Their price on DraftKings is an absolute joke. This is my favorite line of the night when considering value per dollar. If you wanted to run a two man, I would leave off Sebastian Aho who has struggled for most of this year.

Washington One – Alex Ovechkin, T.J. Oshie, Nicklas Backstrom, John Carlson – Ovie just seems to get better with age and this line has been eating as of late. Buffalo started the season really hot but has slowed down recently and has surrendered a couple of really big games across the last two weeks. At -185, Washington is second largest favorite on the slate and should take care of business.

New Jersey One – Taylor Hall, Kyle Palmieri, Jack Hughes – New Jersey is only a -130 home favorite but this should be a high scoring affair. Despite Brian Elliott’s strong play up until his late game, this Philly team has been an absolute turnstile. The #1 draft pick this past year, Jack Hughes, is one game removed from the best of his young career and Kyle Palmieri is coming off a hat trick so they are in great form. Fire them up and a game stack is not out of the question for tournaments.

11/1 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Five Forwards/Centers

  1. Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals – $8,100
  2. Andrei Svechnikov– Carolina Hurricanes – $5,900
  3. Teuvo Teravainen – Carolina Hurricanes – $4,900
  4. Taylor Hall – New Jersey Devils – $7,400
  5. Jack Hughes – New Jersey Devils – $4,700

  1. John Carlson- Washington Capitals – $7,300
  2. Dougie Hamilton – Carolina Hurricanes – $6,200
  3. Erik Karlsson- San Jose Sharks – $5,400
  4. Ivan Provorov – Philadelphia Flyers – $4,300
  5. Matt Niskanen – Philadelphia Flyers – $3,800

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Jordan Binnington – St. Louis Blues – $8,400
  2. Petr Mzarek- Carolina Hurricanes – $8,000

11/1 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Alex Ovechkin – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points – It was a good week for the city of Washington and Ovie will look to add to the celebration.

Dougie Hamilton > Dylan Larkin- Shots on Goal plus Blocks – Can you teach me how to Dougie? With Dougie Hamilton’s ability to fill the stat sheet he should be the odds on favorite here between the two.

10/31 NHL – Main Slate

Happy Halloween! With only a two game slate on tap I would suggest sticking to a single entry approach whether cash or tournament. With that in mind, I have listed my favorite high end line and my favorite value line.

Top High End Line

Las Vegas Two – Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, Paul Stastny– As of the time of the writing, the Golden Knights are projected for a slate high 3.75 goals. I also like the Las Vegas top line, but if forced to choose between the two I will side with the second. All three of the skaters above have power play correlation on the second power play, thus enhancing the potential of a full line stack. If you were looking to run a two man I would just use Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty.

Top Value Line

Nashville Two – Matt Duchene, Kyle Turris, Mikael Granlund – While I do like the Las Vegas top line and they are close to a value line in terms of cost, I feel that this line truly fits the bill. Nashville is projected for 3.26 goals, coming in second on the slate. This line is cheap on both sites and although Duchene plays separately on the top power play line, all three skaters do get power play time.

10/31 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Five Forwards/Centers

  1. Matt Duchene – Nashville Predators – $5,500 “very cheap”
  2. Mark Stone– Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,100
  3. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,300
  4. Filip Forsberg – Nashville Predators – $7,300 “if back, check for updates”
  5. Matt Tkachuk – Calgary Flames – $5,300

NHL DraftKings Defenders

  1. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $3,100 “if back in the lineup this is insane value for this price”
  2. Ryan Ellis – Nashville Predators – $5,000
  3. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $7,000
  4. Mark Giordano – Calgary Flames – $6,000
  5. Jon Merrill – Las Vegas Knights – $3,200 “Merrill is getting some power play time now but that might change if Schmidt is back so be sure to check that before lock”

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Pekka Rinne – Nashville Predators – $8,200 “really a coin flip between the two. I will lean Rinne with his stellar form of late”
  2. Marc-Andre Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8100

10/31 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. Mark Stone – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,800
  2. Filip Forsberg – Nashville Predators – $7,600 “if back”
  3. Max Pacioretty – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,900
  4. Kyle Turris – Nashville Predators – $4,100
  5. Matt Duchene – Nashville Predators – $7,100

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. Ryan Ellis- Nashville Predators – $5,200
  2. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $6,700
  3. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,500 “If he is back and in his old role. Not quite as jaw dropping a discount as on Draftkings”
  4. Mark Giordano – Calgary Flames- $6,100
  5. Jon Merrill – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $3,500 “punt”

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Pekka Rinne– Nashville Predators – $8,800
  2. Marc Andre-Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,900

10/31 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Mark Stone – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – Let’s get stoned. Given the matchup and dearth of other high end options, Mark Stone is the best option on this slate.

Ryan Ellis – Over 3.5 Fantasy Points – Ryan Ellis has been one of fantasy hockey’s most consistent defensemen this season. There is no reason to think he will have a setback here in a decent matchup at home.

I’llbe focusing on my core and GPP plays for each position along with my favoritevalue plays.   I did mention that I like to wait and see two weeksbefore I go heavy into my bankroll for NBA to see what offenses to targetagainst bad defenses. For example, the Clippers were one of the worst defenseslast year, but with some big upgrades this season, I see them as a Top 10defense now. This is why I like the wait and see approach for the first fewweeks of the season.

Wementioned this in our Premium Slack Channel yesterday, but with NBA DFS, youneed to stay locked in between the final hour before lock until lock. If youcan’t be engaged during that hour, we recommend avoiding the NBA slate.Starting lineups and other news is vital to being successful in NBA DFS. I willstill be playing a good chunk for the first few weeks so let’s win some moneyand dive in.

My 10/30 DFS Core and Value Plays by Position:

  • Core Plays – PG
    • Ricky Rubio, PG, PHX –  FD: $6,500 ; DK – $6,200
      • Ricky Rubio is on FIRE. He continues to thrive on the Suns and I expect him to continue versus a Golden State team who allows about 200 points per game. On a serious note, I expect a very high scoring game and Rubio is still too cheap
    • Value Play – TBD
      • Honestly don’t see one right now and I feel like spending on Brogdon or Lowry on FD to pair with Rubio. Rubio is a lock. I can see the play for Westbrook, but I fear a blowout versus a rebuilding Washington team.
  • Core Plays – SG
    • RJ Barrett, SG, NY – FD : $7,200; DK – $6,500
      • I will be the first to admit that I was not a fan of RJ coming into the season. I thought he was an overrated player and I didn’t believe him to thrive in the NBA. My exact words from Monday and I’ll mirror it again. He faces a weak team in Orlando and I expect a higher paced game with him thriving once again
    • Value Play – Bogdan Bogdanovic, SG, TOR – FD : $5,300; DK – $3,800
      • With a banged up Kings frontcourt, it’s only a matter of team before Bogdan finally gets going. He is usually the first man off the bench, but he thrives as the sixth man and I expect him to have a huge game very soon. This could be the game
  • Core Plays – SF
    • Pascal Siakam, SF, TOR– FD : $8,600; DK – $8,400
    • Kelly Oubre, SF, PHX– FD : $6,900; DK – $6,200
    • Bojan Bogdanovic, SF, UTA– FD : $6,400; DK – $5,500
    • T.J. Warren, SF, IND– FD : $5,900; DK – $5,600
      • I’m loading up the SF position because I literally like these five guys. I’m finding a tough time finding value on this slate, but I’m liking my player pool to consist of these five guys. I’ll be building only three lineups tomorrow and I figure to have these five guys in my three lineups.
      • **UPDATE – Kawhi is OUT. Might be able to find value for him tonight. Usage for Clips will go up also, but don’t like the matchup. **
  • Core Plays – PF
    • Domantas Sabonis, PF, IND – FD: $8,400; DK – $7,900
      • I’m going to go back to the well with Sabonis on this slate. Brooklyn still has a tough time defending the big man and I expect him or Myles Turner to go off. I’ll take my chances on Sabonis.
    • Value Play – Nemanja Bjelica, PF, SAC –  FD : $4,900; DK – $4,400
      • With Bagley out for four to six weeks, Bjelica has taken over and he finally had a killer game his last time out.  They play a bad Charlotte team who can’t defend the bigs so I’ll load up on some value with him.
  • Core Plays – C
    • Myles Turner, C, POR – FD: $7,400; DK – $7,000
    • Cody Zeller, C, POR – FD: $6,600; DK – $6,000
    • DeAndre Jordan, C, BKN – FD: $5,000 ; DK – $4,700
      • This is another spot where I plan to find some value. Embiid, Drummond, and Towns are all playing and in phenomenal matchups , especially Embiid and Towns who face off against each other, but I want value at Center. I feel like I may pivot to Embiid or Towns as the day progresses, but I’ll hold tight with these three for now. I don’t like Sabonis and Turner in the same lineup, but it could work.

**UPDATED VALUE PLAYS**

  • Dario Saric, PF, PHX
  • Dewayne Dedmon, C, SAC
  • Davis Bertans, PF, WSH
  • Marcus Smart, SG, BOS
  • Dwayne Bacon, SG, CHA
  • Nerlens Noel, PF, OKC

Javi’s Sexy Six

  • Steph Curry, PG, GS
  • Ricky Rubio, PG, PHX
  • Dario Saric, PF, PHX or Kelly Oubre, Jr., SF, PHX or Devin Booker, SG, PHX
  • Pascal Siakam, SF, TOR
  • Davis Bertans, PF, WAS or Marcus Smart, SG, BOS
  • Myles Turner, C, IND or Cody Zeller, C, CHA
    • If you can fit Embiid, C, PHI then go for it!

NHL– 10/30 DFS

I’llbe focusing on my core plays for NHL slate. I’ll be focusing on my favoritegoaltenders and the two games I want to focus on. With these games, I plan ontargeting the power-play units instead of the lines. I’ve come to conclusionthat targeting a team from each of these games paired with the top goaltenderhave been the most successful method thus far. For cash, you can focus on a2-2-2-2 stack and go with a 3-3-2 or 4-3-1 stack for GPPs.

I’lltry to update this closer to lock.

My 10/30 DFS Core and Value Plays by Position:

  • Panthers vs. Avs – Favorite Game Stack
    • I like this game because it’s the highest implied goal total for the night and because we go back to the well with the defensive deficient Florida Panthers. As much as I believe in them, I target the Avs side this game as I think the Panthers are tired from the west coast road trip and they play against one of the hottest teams in the Avs
    • Players to Target:
      • Florida PP1
        • Aleksander Barkov, C, FLA – Expensive, but hasn’t scored a goal. This could be the game to score one or two as the Avs don’t play the best defense
        • Jonathan Huberdeau, W, FLA
        • Mike Hoffman, W, FLA
        • Keith Yandle, D, FLA
        • Evgenii Dadonov, W, FLA
      • Favorite Stack – Colorado PP1 – Good value with Rantenan and Landeskog out.
        • Nathan McKinnon, C, COL
        • Nazem Kadri, C, COL
        • Andre Burakovsky, W, COL
        • Sam Girard, D, COL
  • Coyotes vs. Canadiens
    • This is my sneaky stack of the night. The Lightning and Devils game is tied for highest Vegas total with the Panthers-Avs, but I think this game comes out to be one of the higher scoring games. I believe it’s a pure GPP play, but they could garner ownership with a smaller slate. Even though the Canadiens are on the road, I like their side more than the Coyotes. I do like the Coyotes PP1 as value.
    • Favorite Players
      • Value Play – Coyotes PP1
        • Clayton Keller, W, ARI
        • Phil Kessel, W, ARI
        • Derek Stephan, C, ARI
        • Christian Dvorak, C, ARI
        • Oliver Ekman-Larsson, D, ARI
      • Core Play – MON PP1
        • Brendan Gallagher, W, MON
        • Jonathan Drouin, W, MON
        • Shea Weber, D, MON
        • Jesperi Kotkaniemi, C, MON
      • Core Play – MON PP2
        • Max Domi, C, MON
        • Tomas Tatar, W, MON
        • Jeff Petry, D, MON
        • Joel Armia, W, MON

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 10/29 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. BE SURE to double check both regular and power play lines at both morning skate and before lock as they can drastically change from the time of publication.

10/29 NHL – Main Slate

Top Four Lines

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron– Suprise, surprise. If you haven’t been playing these guys at all, NHL DFS must be rough as of late. The Sharks are not good defensively, they have awful goaltenders, and should be the next victims on Boston’s list. If Ottawa can rack up goals versus San Jose, just imagine the possibilities. This is my top stack once again.

Tampa Bay Two – Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Ondrej Palat – This line was last year’s most dangerous as both Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point broke their fair share of slates. It is a road matchup but that doesn’t seem to matter lately for the Rangers with their lack of defense. All three players have correlation on the first power play line as well.

Toronto One – Austin Matthews, Andreas Johnsson, William Nylander, Morgan Reilly – Toronto will be facing a leaky Washington defense and will look to make “some dreams come true” for the home crowd. Much like the two lines above you have full power play one correlation here as well. As always they are cheap and you can either pair with Reilly or use them in conjunction with another top line.

Washington One – Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, T.J. Oshie, John Carlson – You can either game stack or play the Toronto game differently by rolling with the Capitals first line. Another full correlation line, they can certainly take advantage of the short handed Maple Leafs. I expect this to be a high scoring affair.

Honorable Mentions: Pittsburgh One, Edmonton One, Detroit One (more large field)

David Pastrnak – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – Pasta has been money on Monkey Knight Fight and they actually lowered the amount needed from 5.5 since his last time out.

Nikita Kucherov – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – It is fair to say that he has not been up to his usual standards. However, as we saw Sunday vs. Boston, the Rangers defense is hapless.

Happy Monday to all of you and welcome to the 10/28 DFS Diamonds with some NBA, NHL, and props.  I’ll be playing cash and GPP for NBA, but most likely avoiding NHL because I strongly dislike two game slates.

Pleasemessage me with any questions on our premium slack channel or Twitter. Happyreading!

NBA – 10/28 DFS

I’ll befocusing on my core and GPP plays for each position along with my favorite valueplays.   I did mention that I like to wait and see two weeks before Igo heavy into my bankroll for NBA to see what offenses to target against baddefenses. For example, the Clippers were one of the worst defenses last year, but with some big upgrades this season, I see them as a Top 10 defense now. This is why I like the wait and see approach for the first few weeks of theseason.

Wementioned this in our Premium Slack Channel, but with NBA DFS, you need to staylocked in between the final hour before lock until lock. If you can’t beengaged during that hour, we recommend avoiding the NBA slate.

Startinglineups and other news is vital to being successful in NBA DFS. I will still beplaying a good chunk for the first few weeks so let’s win some money and divein.

MyCore and Value Plays by Position:

  • Core Plays – PG– 10/28 DFS
    • Lonzo Ball, PG, NO – FD : $6,900 ; DK – $6,300
      • This is more of a core play if Jrue Holiday is ruled out. He is thriving in the NO offense and he’s playing against a Golden State team that has no problem allowing 120-130 per game.
  • Other Core Plays to Consider
    • Russell Westbrook, PG, OKC – FD : $9,400
      • Revenge narrative?
    • Malcolm Brogdon, PG, IND – FD: $7,600 ; DK : $6,900
      • More of a core play if Jeremy Lamb is out.
    • Steph Curry, PG, GS – FD : $9,200 ; DK : $9500
  • Value Play – Patrick Beverly, PG, LAC– FD: $5,200; DK – $4,800
    • It’s tough to find value on this slate at the PG position and we need to be on the lookout for any injury news to see if we save some salary. Charlotte is in rebuilding mode and their difference is terrible, especially against the center and guard position.  This isn’t my favorite value play to say the least, but we need to save somewhere. The thing with Beverly is he can pile up points with his defensive stats and he has a good shot to do it against Charlotte.
  • Other Value Play to Consider
    • Coby White, PG, CHI – FD: $5,100 ; DK : $5,000

  • Core Plays – SG– 10/28 DFS
    • RJ Barrett, SG, NY – FD : $6,700; DK – $6,100
      • I will be the first to admit that I was not a fan of RJ coming into the season. I thought he was an overrated player and I didn’t believe him to thrive in the NBA. As of right now, I’ve been wrong and he plays against a bad defense in the Chicago Bulls. I believe it’s a killer matchup and he could easily hit over value in this matchup.
    • Value Play – Tony Snell, SG, DET – FD : $3,700; DK – $3,500
      • In three games with the Pistons, he has averaged over 30 minutes in two of those three games.  He is more in there for his defense, but he could easily hit value with a few defensive stats. Not my favorite value play again, but it could work.
  • Other Value Plays to Consider
    • Derrick Rose, SG, DET – $6,500 ; DK : $5,400
      • Most likely without Reggie Jackson. Could go off again.

  • Core Plays – SF– 10/28 DFS
    • Kawhi Leonard, SF, LAC – FD : $9,900; DK – $9,200
      • The Clippers just lost to the Suns and they’re going to coming out blazing against the rebuilding Hornets.  My only fear is blowout risk by end of the third quarter, but we thought the same against the Suns. Load him up!
  • *Updated* Value Play – Mario Hezonja, SF, POR – FD : $3,600, DK : $3,300
    • Zach Collins is OUT and Hezonja might start , but he will see an extended run with Collins hurting his shoulder. Lock him as my favorite salary relief besides Chriss.
  • Value Play – Miles Bridges, SF, CHA – FD : $5,200; DK – $6,300
    • This might be my favorite value play as of right now. I worry Kawhi will cover him, but Kawhi covered Kelly Oubre the other day and he pretty much went off. I believe it will be a very high paced game and high scoring. I just hope the game is close to the end.
  • Other Value Plays to Consider
    • Luke Kennard, SF, DET – FD: $4,900; DK – $5,000

  • Core Plays – PF– 10/28 DFS
    • Domantas Sabonis, PF, IND – FD: $7,900; DK – $7,600
      • Sabonis just had a relatively poor game the other night. I’m hoping this keeps the ownership off of him because I still consider him a double-double machine. He plays a mediocre Pistons defense and I expect him to bounce back nicely.
  • Other Core Plays to Consider
    • Lauri Markannen, PF, CHI – FD: $8,000 ; DK : $7,700
  • *Updated* Value Play – Marquese Chriss, PF, GS –  FD : $3,800; DK – $3,200
    • Kevon Looney is out and he’s starting. Lock him in for this game as it will be fast paced and he’s almost the bare minimum
  • Value Play – Frank Kaminsky, PF, PHX –  FD : $5,200; DK – $5,300
  • Value Play – Dario Saric, PF, PHX –  FD : $5,000; DK – $4,800
    • With Ayton out for 25 games, there is a void to fill at the big man position for the Suns plus all the usage he takes up when he’s in the game. The Suns run mainly through Oubre and Booker, but these guys are an outstanding value and too cheap. I’d get one or the other as a value play to save some salary.

  • Core Plays – C – 10/28 DFS
    • Nikola Jokic, C, DEN – FD: $10,700 ; DK – $9,600
    • Montrezl Harrell, C, LAC – FD : $7,200 ; DK – $6,400
      • If you have the salary, don’t even think twice and go Jokic. He’s a triple double machine and I’m predicting one on this slate. If you can’t make it happen, go with Harrell against the Hornets who can’t defend the Center. Plain and simple!
  • Value Play – Bobby Portis, C, NY – FD : $5,000; DK – $5,400
    • Revenge game versus the Chicago Bulls? I think so, but only if Mitchell Robinson is out. If he plays, I probably wouldn’t use him.
  • Other Value Play if Mitchell Robinson is IN.
    • Aaron Baynes, C, PHX – FD : $4,800; DK – $5,100

NHL – 10/28 DFS

Do you all believe in the Florida Panthers yet? I know I do and this is our year! Now that I got that out of the way, let’s take a brief dive into this 2 game slate. So not thrilling at all.

Panthers are in the second night of a back to back. Meanwhile, Arizona is traveling to the east coast for a night in Buffalo. I’m going to be contrarian and target the Panthers offense over Vancouver. They have scored 17 goals in the past three games.

I don’t expect the Sabres vs. Coyotes game to be high scoring. Both teams are playing great hockey so I side with Sabres PP1 with Panthers PP2 and Panthers PP1 with Coyotes PP1.

I’m avoiding this slate because I don’t like two game slates, but I’ll be on Slack tomorrow to answer any and all questions.

  • Florida Panthers vs.Vancouver Canucks
    • Players to target
      • Florida PP1
        • Aleksander Barkov C, FLA
        • Jonathan Huberdeau W, FLA
        • Mike Hoffman W, FLA
        • Evgenii Dadonov, W, FLA
        • Keith Yandle, D, FLA
      • Florida PP2 – Salary Saver
        • Aaron Ekblad, D, FLA
        • Frank Vatrano, W, FLA
        • Brett Connolly, W, FLA
        • Denis Malgin, W, FLA
        • Noel Acciari, C, FLA
  • Buffalo Sabes PP1
    • Jack Eichel, C, BUF
    • Victor Oloffson, W, BUF
    • Jeff Skinner, W, BUF
    • Sam Reinhart, CW BUF
    • Rasmus Dahlin, D, BUF
  • Arizona Coyotes PP1
    • Clayton Keller, W, ARI
    • Phil Kessel, W, ARI
    • Derek Stephan, C, ARI
    • Christian Dvorak, C, ARI
    • Oliver Ekman-Larsson, D,ARI

My 2 plays of the day come down to a shootout happening in the Warriors versus Pelicans game. I believe Steph Curry is due for a killer game against a bottom tier defense in the Pelicans. I also like the other side with Brandon Ingram. I’m confident he’ll put over 25 points, especially if Jrue Holiday is out.  Take the over on both of these plays!

Cash with Flash Best Bets had a terrific close to another successful week offering you the very best betting opportunities in the world of sports. A 5-2 NFL finish was just what the doctor ordered and if you played every pick offered here at Cash with Flash Best Bets last week, you would have profited around $900 dollars this week. It may not be as sexy as some, but Cash with Flash Best Bets has never had a losing week at Win Daily or anywhere else since we began handicapping full-time in late September 2018.

Not manyhandicappers can say this either and Cash with Flash Best Bets has worked very hard and continuesto do so because you deserve the best that we can offer.

The publiccontinues to get hammered in NFL wagering but Cash with Flash Best Bets, and our readers continue to profitbetting NFL games. The public lost on many of the most heavily bet and mostlopsided games of the day, which was great news for the sportsbooks. Thebiggest unpopular dog covers were the Falcons (+7.5 vs Seahawks, lost 27-20),the Broncos (+6 at Colts, lost 15-13) and the Raiders (+5.5 at Texans, lost27-24).

The houseusually wins but so far Cash with Flash Best Bets has come out ontop. The backdoor Giants cover with 1:26 left in the fourth quarter stung a bitas did Buffalo failing to win against Philadelphia, but Cash with Flash Best Bets is happy to beatthe books and cash those NFL tickets.

10/27 NHL – Main Slate

Top Four Lines

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron– Despite being on a back to back it will be the second straight day this line makes the list. The Rangers leaky defense should allow the Bruins to continue their winning ways and put at least a few goals on the board. When the Bruins score those goals, you don’t have to look too far to figure out which line is the probable source.

San Jose Two – Evander Kane, Tomas Hertl, Kevin Labanc – This line has full power play correlation and has been absolute fire so far this year. They get a juicy matchup with a young Ottawa team that they should smack up. If you want to build from there, you can also add Erik Karlsson who also has double correlation at the moment. I like this line more on FanDuel where they are cheaper.

Chicago One – Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Alex DeBrincat – The top three players on this team are all united now on the Blackhawks top line. They will look to bounce back after a disappointing game against the Hurricanes yesterday in which they were shut out. I would like this spot even more if it was Jonathan Quick in net. However, this still seems like a decent bounce back spot.

Las Vegas Two – Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, Paul Stastny

I have heavy interest in both of the top two Vegas lines as they should avoid hard matching with the Ducks top line with Getzlaf and feast on the weak defense elsewhere. If I had to choose one for tournaments, I’d lean towards the second line with some of their extra firepower. This Ducks team will be on a back to back and Vegas is always tough place for visitors for a myriad of reasons, some unsubstantiated.
