Here is a preview of what to expect from the NBA DFS Previews article written by Brandon C. Williams. Going up against the Brooklyn Nets, Wood finished with 20 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a pair of steals in 21 minutes off the bench. With a $4,500 DraftKings price tag, Wood was a great option to stack your lineup with big-name players as well.

1/29 Winner: Washington Capitals Starting Line

Above is a screenshot from The Daily Hot Shot article written by Richard Masana. Even in a losing effort against the Nashville Predators, the starting line for the Capitals gave you some options. Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist while Tom Wilson added another goal. Ovechkin also gained sole possession of 9th place all-time in goals. It was worth spending money on this line and helped a lot of people make a lot of money last night.

1/26 Win Daily Winner: Montrezl Harrell

Above is a snippet from the Ghost’s Ghouls article for NBA DFS written by Nicholas Di Tommaso. Montrezl Harrell had a great all-around game off the bench for the Clippers against the Portland Trail Blazers. 1/26 Winner: Dillon Brooks

The Sunday landscape changes now that the NFL season is almost over. There are six games tonight, which allows the Sunday Night NBA DFS Positional Breakdown to be more flexible than it has been in previous weeks.

IMPORTANT: NBA DFS is completely different than any other sport. Players get ruled out five minutes before games and you HAVE TO BE READY to pivot. I will update this article as close to lineup lock as possible with any big news, but play it safe and stay on top of the news yourself.

I refer to FanDuel pricing today.

1/26 NBA DFS Point Guard

  1. Trae Young ($9600), Anchor: Sandwiched between missing a game, Young has averaged 61.1 FDP in his last two games. He could easily clear that mark against the Wizards and their league-worst defense, especially with a usage rate that hovers near 35%.
  2. Kyrie Irving ($8700): Irving lit up the Pistons for 45 points on Friday night. Oh, the fun he could have against the Knicks, who are ranked 26th defensively.
  3. Damian Lillard ($9700): Ain’t no party like a Dame Lillard Party because a Dame Lillard Party is averaging 60.7 FDP in his last four games. The good times will keep rolling, but he’s ranked third because the Pacers — unlike the Wizards and Knicks — can play defense (ranked 11th overall).
  4. Kemba Walker ($7600): Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are both GTD’s, which could be a good thing for Walker, who racked up 61.4 FDP on Friday night. A duplicate effort is in the offing against the Pelicans if Walker has to go without the C’s two biggest offensive threats.

1/26 NBA DFS Shooting Guard

  1. Bradley Beal ($8300): The Hawks are 28th in points allowed per game. Beal (32.7 Usage Rate) is by far the best (and only) Wizards player worth strong consideration.
  2. Devin Booker ($8800): Count on Booker to light it up tonight; he’s averaging 25.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in three previous games this season against the Grizzlies while shooting 54% from the field.
  3. Jrue Holiday ($7300): GTD (knee), so be ready to pivot if that translates into DNP-CD. Holiday has been solid over his past 10 games, averaging 20 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.0 block, and 2.0 steals.
  4. Lou Williams ($6100): Williams is the most reliable of the rest of the available SGs. He’s a good pivot if Holiday is out. I’d also look at Marcus Smart ($5800), especially if Smart and Walker are taking the bulk of the Boston offense if Brown and/or Tatum are sidelined.

1/26 NBA DFS Small Forward

  1. Kelly Oubre ($6700): Oubre is third on the Suns in usage rate and should thrive in a matchup against a Grizzlies team that, like Phoenix, ranks in the top 10 in pace.
  2. Brandon Ingram ($8400): He’s had a challenging week in FDP production. He’s capable of exploding for 45-50 FDP at any time, but it will be a tough task against a Celtics defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing SFs. I’d like him a little more if Jaylen Brown is out.
  3. Gordon Hayward ($6000): There’s great value in Hayward, whose 21.2 usage rate will increase greatly if Brown is out.
  4. Marcus Morris ($5600): He’s averaging 19.4 points per night in his five games since returning from injury. He racked up 33.6 FDP the last time he saw the Nets on December 26.

1/26 NBA DFS Power Forward

  1. Kawhi Leonard ($10,200): He’s put the Clips on his back in the wake of Paul George’s absence, putting up at least 60 FDP in five of his last eight games. I’d bank on Leonard making it six of nine after tonight.
  2. Domantas Sabonis ($8400): Double-doubles in three of his past four games and 10 of 12 games this month. Sabonis has been a steady source of DFS gold all season.
  3. John Collins ($7700): Quietly, Collins has averaged 19.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks this month. I wouldn’t be shocked if Collins approaches 45-50 FDP at the expense of the woeful Wizards defense.
  4. Julius Randle ($7600): 20.9 points and 9.9 rebounds in his last seven games. He should at least deliver that level of production against the Nets.

1/26 NBA DFS Center

  1. Hassan Whiteside ($9300): Look for a major rebound from Whiteside following his sluggish performance against the Mavericks on Friday. Be afraid, Myles Turner. Be very afraid.
  2. Deandre Ayton ($7800): Even with the dip in scoring, Ayton has recorded double-doubles in five of his last six games. Grizzlies C Jonas Valanciunas tends to struggle against athletic big men, so look for Ayton to thrive against his less mobile counterpart.
  3. Nikola Vucevic ($8500): You can shut your eyes rest assured that Vucevic will produce 39-42 FDP per night.
  4. Ian Mahinmi ($5400): He’s here for the fact the Hawks are dead last in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing centers. Mahinmi is a low-end pivot that will allow you to spend bigger at other positions. He’s worth the risk.

In this column, I’ll highlight five NBA DFS 1/24 plays that could be the difference in GPPs, from studs with a huge upside to value plays who could hit 8x-10x.

These are risky NBA DFS1/24 plays who won’t always make the most sense for cash game builds, so buyerbeware!

NBA DFS 1/24 — PG

RussellWestbrook, HOU (@ MIN) – DK $10,400

The tide is shifting, and Russell is becoming the heart and soul of the Rockets in games where James Harden’s shooting touch isn’t there. He’s a near-lock for a triple-double in just about any matchup, and he should easily dominate the T-Wolves feeble backcourt with his high-energy play. We’re looking at a somewhat risky floor given the blowout factor, but if he plays the fourth quarter then 60-70 points seem doable.

Pivot/Stack:De’Aaron Fox

NBA DFS 1/24 — SG

KevinHuerter, ATL (vs. OKC) – DK $5,900

Huerter gets a huge usage bump if Trae Young is out again, but at this price, he’s a fine play regardless. The definition of a high-upside, high-risk GPP play, Huerter throws in a dud once in a while and is an injury-prone but very active player who excels in all aspects of the game. Use him sparingly if you’re tentative, and heavily if you’re fearless!

Pivot/Stack:Andrew Wiggins

NBA DFS 1/24 — SF

T.J.Warren, IND (@ GS) – DK $6,000

When Malcolm Brogdon isout, the first guy I look for is Warren, but I’m interested in a few Pacerstonight. I don’t expect ownership to be through the roof given the red numbernext to the matchup, but Warren will assume more of a scoring role and see increasedusage. Seeing him get 45-50 DK points is well within reason, so I’ll haveplenty of shares in GPPs.

Pivot/Stack:Will Barton

NBA DFS 1/24 — PF

PascalSiakam, TOR (@ NY) – DK $7,700

Siakam’s price is affordable, and though he’s struggled a bit inhis return from injury, this is a get-right spot against a weak Knicks frontcourt. If you’re looking for a PF with 7x or 8x upside who could break the slate, thisis the guy. There’s some risk, but Siakam makes for a fine GPP play in afavorable matchup.

Pivot/Stack:John Collins

NBA DFS 1/24 — C

DomantasSabonis, IND (@ GS) – DK $8,600

I’ll be mixing in shares of both Sabonis and Myles Turner, alternating them in GPP lineups because I’m not sure who will be the one to rack up the frontcourt points against the Warriors. There should be plenty of scoring and both seem like a lock for double-digit rebounds. But the prices for both men are far too low given the matchup and the glaring fact that one of the Pacers’ main scoring options is out.

Pivot/Stack: Myles Turner
