This article focuses on 4/29 NHL Picks for both DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We analyze tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so that we can gain an edge on the field at large. Thursday 4/29 NHL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Welcome back to the Hot Shot!

We have another awesome ten-game Thursday slate to look forward to.

Boston and Carolina come in as the biggest money line favorites by far. However, there are a pair of 6.5 total games and a pair of six total games.

With that setup in place, it gives us plenty of options in tournaments. It might make sense to pull off of full lines in favor of two man’s, looking to capture some of the goals from the higher total affairs. Ownership will be a non-issue with such a large slate.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds

Note: All odds are listed +300 or below. All odds are taken from DraftKings Sportsbook, as of the time of writing.

Saturday 4/24 EPL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Welcome back for another fun-filled EPL Saturday! Without an early game, we also get a little bit of extra sleep in.

There are two matches on tap for today’s slate but the first game at main lock should be the most popular of the two. Both Chelsea and West Ham are in the mix for a top-four EPL finish and a spot in next year’s Champion’s League. Aside from that, Brighton should also be very popular facing lowly Sheffield United.

Notable Goal Scoring Odds

Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold.

Chelsea (-134) at West Ham (+375) – Olivier Giroud (+155), Tammy Abraham (+155), Timo Werner (+190), Christian Pulisic (+240), Kai Havertz (+240), Mason Mount (+270), Jesse Lingard (+275), Hakim Ziyech (+310), Jorginho (+335)

Brighton (-141) at Sheffield United (+440) – Neal Maupay (+148), Danny Welbeck (+195), Aaron Connolly (+220), Andi Zeqiri (+260), Percy Tau (+275), Alireza Jahanbakhsh (+275), Leandro Trossard (+290), José Izquierdo (+310), Pascal Gros (+335)

EPL Best Odds

*Chelsea to Win* (-134) – “DraftKings Sportsbook”

The Betting Game Plan

For this Chelsea team to take that next step, they need to show they can put away these sorts of games. Chelsea is in a great position to return to the Champion’s League next year at the expense of many other sides, as well as appear in a UCL semifinal this coming week. This West Ham team has definitely exceeded expectations this season, but perhaps today is when Cinderella loses her slipper!

NBA DFS 04/22 : Money Tips

As the Founder of WinDailySports.com I figured it was time to jump in and write an article to help everyone have a positive NBA DFS 4/22 slate. As of late, my schedule has been so chaotic with meetings that on a lot of days I fade the main NBA slate, to play the less stressful main MLB DFS slate , and then I sit down and grind the simple 2 game NBA slate which usually starts at 9pm or 10pm. It allows me to have, all or most of the news at hand so I can make the right decisions knowing that I don’t have to follow news from 6pm all the way to 10pm which I don’t have the time commitment for currently. My schedule combined with the fact of how the NBA news has been breaking, makes it so you literally need to invest 6+ hours daily to have any shot of being long term profitable. Being self aware of my schedule and making the proper adjustments has led me to some great nights as of late without stressing the grind of the main NBA slate. If you have the time, there is a huge edge right now and I have seen some 4 and 5 figure screenshots from our members in Discord just this past week. If you don’t have the time right now please be self aware and make the proper adjustments.

So we have a 6 game main slate starting at 7pm and a 2 game night slate tipping off at 9pm. Full disclosure, I am writing this at 10am so I can only assume there will be a ton of news that will force major adjustments to this article and my lineups. So please please please connect with our team in the Discord Expert Chat!

Before running to the DraftKings, FanDuel, or Yahoo lobby to construct your NBA DFS lineup after reading this article, please make sure to utilize the abundance of tools we have at Win Daily:

Enough small talk, lets look into the full NBA DFS 4/22 slate. I’m breaking the slate down from a DraftKings perspective.

Point Guards

Luka Doncic $11,000

Now we all know Luka is great at playing basketball. He’s physical mismatch for anyone who covers him and he is active in every aspect of the game. At $11,000 he is not a must have but he is the only guy I would be spending up on at the PG position. Luka is making a playoff push and this game is meaningful for the Mavericks so we should see a motivated Luka who has dropped 60+ points in 3 straight games. I have Luka slightly ahead of Embiid (on a back to back) and Giannis. In early mocks I made Luka is the only 10k+ guy I have in my builds.

Coby White $5,500 & Jalen Brunson $4,600

I love using my point guard slots to lock in my value plays and on most nights I like jamming in two of them to free up salary at other positions. The reason being is I feel safer with value point guards and the floor they possess over shooting guards, small forwards, and power forwards. A lot of times role players getting a spot start or increased minutes don’t have a real role in the offense. But with point guards you’re at least assured one thing, they will have the ball in their hands and be a facilitator in the offense. This should ensure some assists and points scored which won’t come from a shooting guard who just sits in the corner praying for a shot opportunity. Both White and Brunson are now starters with increased minutes and usage in their offense which should lead to fantasy goodness.

Shooting Guards

Garrett Temple $3800

Trust the damn model! If a guy is at the top of the value model and he’s starting 9 times out of 10 I will have shares of him in my lineup. Temple is now a starter with Lavine sidelined and has exceeded 24 minutes in the last 4 games. At a $3800 price tag I’m content with him getting 20 points, I believe he can easily get 25, and I know if the ball bounces right he can exceed 30+. I like the individuals matchups for the guards in this game and this game should stay close which will allow for some fantasy goodness.

Terry Rozier $8,400

Terry has really stepped during the absence of Ball and Hayward. If you like to track recent game logs you will see Rozier is coming off 53, 52, 69, and a 43 point game. All of which would have exceeding 5x value and once eclipsing more than 8x which is what you need to win a GPP. It really comes down to roster construction for me. Out of the 4 guards mentioned above Rozier will land at number 5 for “safest” value. If I have enough salary to get there Rozier is a fine play and should end up being the highest scoring SG on the slate.

Small Forwards

Josh Jackson $5500

It wouldn’t right to write up a article (which is usually done by my good friend Ghost) without writing up one of his favorite DFS players in Josh Jackson. I know first hand how excited Ghost gets when he gets Josh Jackson in a good spot at less than 10% ownership and I believe we have that spot tonight. With minutes available and usage in his hands Jackson can find a way to 40 points on any given night. Jackson is more of a GPP play than anything but at $5500 I believe we can lock in a floor of 25 in a weak small forward slot. You can avoid this spot by sliding Temple or Doncic in this spot and load up on more guards.

Patrick Williams $4300

This play is all about the minutes. When I am searching for value at the small forward position I need to lock in a solid floor of minutes. The minutes are there for Williams. He has received over 26 minutes in 9 out of the last 10 games and that shouldn’t change tonight. Lets keep this one simple and move on. Give me 26+ minutes against the 30th ranked defense at defending the small forward positions and we should have red flames next to his name on DraftKings. Lock in 25+ fantasy points out of Williams and save the salary to grab another stud.

Power Forwards

PJ Washington $5900

Another safe slot in this Hornets / Bulls game. Give me a cheap price tag on Washington in a good matchup versus the Bulls. Coming off a 33 and 45 point game and 4 out of the last 5 games with over 33 point production makes me land here, if I am looking for mid range value. The model stands behind this play and when you sort by value he is currently sitting at the 3rd best value spot on the board at PF.

A lot of question marks currently on the High End

As I’m writing this, we have Giannis, Tobias, and Jayson all Questionable and we may have the return of Anthony Davis. So lets get this out of the way I am not playing Davis and I will be fading Tobias even if he plays. Up top I like Giannis slightly better than Tatum but I do like them both if I find a way to get two high priced players in my lineup. I will not be forcing them in and the key here is to monitor the news on these two guys throughout the day because if either are out there will be must plays on the Bucks and Celtics that we will need to lock in.

Centers

Here are the Centers that I currently have in my player pool that I haven’t mentioned above who have multiple position eligibility.

  • Joel Embiid $10,500
  • Nikola Vucevic $10,000
  • Jakob Poeltl $5900
  • Mason Plumlee $4900
  • Tristan Thompson $4800
  • Lauri Markkanen $4100
  • Daniel Theis $3700

I will continue to stress the importance of having discipline and being self aware of your time and strengths when managing your bankroll. Make sure to constantly check both the projection model and cheat sheet open when building lineups for the NBA DFS 4/22 slate.

Thursday 4/22 NHL Slate and DFS Gameplan

Welcome back to the Hot Shot!

We have an awesome ten-game Thursday slate to look forward to.

Right off the bat, we have the Penguins hosting the woeful Devils. I’m pretty sure New Jersey is mailing it in at this point, so all of the Pens lines are in play. Pittsburgh will look to continue where they left off the other night.

The resurgent Bruins are visiting the now somewhat respectable Sabres. Buffalo can only troll us so many times, right? This team is terrible.

Those two games above should grab a decent bit of ownership. However, for tournaments, there may be more contrarian value to be discovered in the night games.

Both the Colorado/St. Louis game and Ottawa/Vancouver game have six totals. Only the aforementioned Pittsburgh/New Jersey game, Philadelphia/New York Rangers, and Toronto/Winnipeg can say the same. We also have the Stars coming in as decent favorites against the Red Wings.
