Today’s edition of Aces and Bases focuses ONLY on FanDuel’s eight-game MLB DFS Main Slate for 7:10PM ET, hopefully finding you some green screens!

No rain in the forecast but we do have winds blowing out in St. Louis for the Reds-Cards game — something to consider for Cincinnati GPP stacks.

MLB DFS: The Aces

Top MLB DFS Ace: Walker Buehler ($9,700)

We can chalk up his last outing (3 IP, 7 H, 1 K, 6 ER @SF) to a bad day, and his last start vs. the Padres yielded a solid outcome. The K rate is down a bit in 2021, but the walks are down, the ground ball rate has increased and the solid 2.31 ERA isn’t too far separated from the 3.18/3.59 FIP/xFIP combo. We’re looking at about a 35-40 point projections here, with a 50-point ceiling, and that’s good enough to make him the top SP for cash games and single-entry.

Best GPP Value: Charlie Morton ($9,000)

Morton looks like a solid value tonight against the Marlins, who have the second-highest team K% in MLB. The veteran’s upside probably even exceeds Buehler’s tonight given the matchup, and that upside comes with a built-in discount from the top two arms on the slate in Buehler and Luis Castillo. I’m not as interested in Castillo because of how he can get lit up, especially against a team filled with potent bats like the Cards, but he’d make for a semi-contrarian choice given that tougher matchup. Morton seems to fit the best and carry the highest chance of notching both a QS and W, so he’s my first choice for GPPs.

Contrarian GPP Play: Luis Garcia ($8,300)

Garcia isn’t a very exciting play, but if we need a leverage pivot with some upside, he’s probably it. His ownership should be lower than Morton’s, and he’s seen an uptick in velocity on his pitches lately. The problem is that he’s got a much lower floor than either Morton or Buehler, and while the price is severely discounted compared to DraftKings, he hasn’t notched double-digit Ks in any start this season despite a 10.41 K% because he rarely pitches six full innings.

MLB DFS: The Bases

Top Stack: Houston Astros

The implied run total is well over 5, and the Astros have been red-hot offensively over the past few games, so we should start any stack off with Alex Bregman ($3,200), and then play some combination of Jose Altuve ($3,800) and Yordan Alvarez ($3,400), Carlos Correa ($3,500), Kyle Tucker ($3,200) Yuri Gurriel ($2,900) and value options Michael Brantley ($2,600) and Martin Maldonado ($2,100). There’s really nobody that’s out of consideration given the circular nature of this powerful lineup.

GPP Stack #1: Chicago White Sox

The prices are still relatively affordable for the White Sox (even moreso on DK), with Luis Robert ($3,900), Jose Abreu ($3,800), Eloy Jimenez ($3,500) and Yasmani Grandal ($3,800) all in play for stacks against Red Sox projected starter Connor Seabold. Andrew Vaughn is just $2,300, and both Brian Goodwin ($2,200) and Yoan Moncada ($3,200) are in play as well. It’s simply a great spot for mixing and matching a few different four-man stacks of White Sox.

GPP Stack #2: Cincinnati Reds

Miles Mikolas doesn’t scare me one bit, and while the Reds are a dynamic bunch who can disappoint on occasion, I like the four-man stack of Jonathan India ($3,700), Nick Castellanos ($4,100), Joey Votto ($3,700) and Tyler Naquin ($2,700) the best among this bunch, with Eugenio Suarez ($3,200), Max Schrock ($2,100) and Tucker Barnhart ($2,400) the best of the rest.

Bonus Value Stacks: Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins

Make sure to keep an eye on the starters as lineups are released. Good luck tonight, and please utilize the MLB Projection models to land on your one-offs and off-the-wall value plays!

Today’s edition of Aces and Bases focuses ONLY on FanDuel’s eight-game MLB DFS Main Slate for 7:10PM ET, hopefully finding you some green screens!

The biggest weather threat is in Cincinnati for the Tigers-Reds game, which if it plays will have to be through heavy rain. If the forecasts changes we can consider the Reds hitters against LHP Matthew Boyd, but this game has a good shot at a PPD so it might just be too risky even for bats.

MLB DFS: The Aces

Top MLB DFS Ace: Framber Valdez ($9,800)

There isn’t an SP play on the main slate without risk, but Valdez offers the best shot at a decent floor with GPP-winning upside. He’s likely where a lot of folks will be starting their cash game builds. If he can avoid the big blow from Fernando Tatis Jr. and navigate through the rest of this lefty-heavy lineup, I’m confident he’ll be sitting somewhere in that 29-46 point range where he’s lived comfortably in his last seven starts. Valdez sports a relatively pedestrian 22.4% K rate this season, but he’s posted at least 6 Ks in five of his last six starts and the Padres don’t necessarily destroy lefty pitching. This slate isn’t pretty for starting pitching, but Valdez is likely the best we’ve got.

Best GPP Value: Reynaldo Lopez ($8,100)

The White Sox starting rotation has taken some hits lately, with both Lane Lynn and Lucas Giolito on the shelf — at least temporarily. If Tony La Russa weren’t so old school, I’d be worried about Lopez going the requisite five innings he needs to pick up the win, but if “Pound-em-down” Tony says Lopez is starting, he’s probably willing to let him go 5-6 IP, which should be plenty long enough to make value against the Royals. Lopez had 42 FD points in his last start (against the Cubs) on August 27, striking out 7 in 5.0 IP and notching a win. We could see similar results tonight.

Contrarian GPP Play: Joe Musgrove ($8,800)

As WinDaily’s Adam Strangis points out in his MLB DFS Starting Rotation 9.4 article, Musgrove worked some magic against the Angels his last time on the bump, and gets another tough test facing the Astros — a team that just doesn’t strike out very much and mashes it around the yard (lowest K-rate in baseball, top three in wOBA, wRC+, OPS, and OBP). Musgrove is pitching this game in his team’s NL park, so that helps, and the most recent performance by the Astros against an ancient Jake Arrieta shows that at least they aren’t red-hot heading into the matchup. Both of the implied team totals in this game are under 4 runs, so it could really go either way. I’m assuming that Musgrove’s ownership will be much lower than that of Valdez. If Braves RHP Ian Anderson were looking anything like his 2020 self in his last few starts after returning from injury, I’d have some interest in suing him as a contrarian play in Coors, but that just doesn’t appear to be the wise move tonight.

MLB DFS: The Bases

Top Stack: Los Angeles Dodgers

We’ve got another huge total Coors game tonight, so if you’re believer they’ll finally give us the shootout we’ve been promised tonight — have at it. But the past couple of nights have given us the highest totals outside of Coors, which is where we’ll be focusing our attention for tonight’s slate. That starts with Dodgers against LHP Sammy Long in San Francisco in a revenge game. This lineup just lost first place to the Giants last night and they absolutely destroy fastballs, and that’s primarily what Long throws. I’m starting my stacks with Trea Turner ($4,300), Mookie Betts ($4,100), A.J. Pollock ($3,200) and Justin Turner ($3,800), but lefties Max Muncy ($4,000 — if he doesn’t sit) and Corey Seager ($3,800) are in play as well.

The Second-best Stack: Chicago White Sox

If you’re not into playing the juggernaut Dodgers in a pitcher’s park, then consider rolling out the White Sox, who project well against young lefty Daniel Lynch. Lynch has been solid lately and has some contrarian upside in his own right tonight, but the smart money (4.95 projected team total for the Sox) is on Luis Robert ($4,200), Jose Abreu ($4,100), Eloy Jimenez ($3,600) and Yasmani Grandal ($3,500) pulvering baseballs and giving us a big offensive night. Andrew Vaughn and his .380 wOBA vs. LHP is the best value option at just $2,500, while Leury Garcia ($2,300) who sports positive splits against LHP (.320 wOBA) makes sense as well if you need the salary savings and need to drop one of the bigger bats.

Value GPP Stack: Los Angeles Angels

The Angels offense just hasn’t been great the last couple of weeks, sporting a relatively weak wRC+ of 78 and .128 ISO over the past 14 days. But that all changes tonight against LHP Kolby Allard. On the season, the splits against LHP are solid, with a team wOBA of .322, ISO of .180 and 105 wRC+, numbers that match well against Allard and his ERA and FIP — both north of 5.00. Plus, the wind is blowing out to right field in a hitter’s park, and the temperature is the highest of any game in the slate. We’re going to see some runs scored in Anaheim tonight, and I’m starting my stacks with Shohei Ohtani ($4,500), David Fletcher ($2,900), Jo Adell ($2,500) and Justin Upton ($2,700). Max Stassi ($2,900) is in play if he starts, and so is “Fabulous” Phil Gosselin ($2,300) if he’s high in the order.

Make sure to keep an eye on the starters as lineups are released. Good luck tonight, and please utilize the MLB Projection models to land on your one-offs and off-the-wall value plays!

Today’s edition of Aces and Bases focuses ONLY on FanDuel’s 10-game MLB DFS Main Slate for 7:05PM ET, hopefully finding you some green screens!

Some light rain in Baltimore, where I’m not looking at pitchers anyway, and some normal pop-up chances in Atlanta and Cincy, but nothing tumultuous that could PPD a game we’re featuring. Giddyup!

MLB DFS: The Aces

Top MLB DFS Ace: Julio Urias ($10,000)

Urias may not have the highest upside on the slate, but both he and a pitcher to be named later offer the best chance at safety in cash games. His solid July numbers (2.30 ERA, .264 wOBA, 20% K rate, 5.6% BB rate) portend a more steady stretch in the season’s second half. The scuffling Angels have hit just .216/.271/.342 over the past week and this should not be considered a get-right spot for the halos. I’ll be plugging Urias in about half my cash and a third of my GPP lines tonight and moving on to some value stacks.

Best GPP Value: Yu Darvish ($9,600)

Last week we discussed how Darvish has struggled in July and had a good spot against the Rockies and he got lit up (including yielding a HR to the opposing pitcher, German Marquez) for 5 ER — though he did rack up 8 Ks and 27 FD points. This time we have reason to expect he can improve on those numbers and hit the 40+ threshold we’re looking for in GPPs. Adam Strangis discusses Darvish’s matchup in the 8/7 Starting Rotation article and as usual it’s a must-read. Darvish has been a reverse-splits pitcher in 2021 because of the soft contact he induces against LHB, and with the D-Backs’ featuring a slew of lefty hitters and the team K rate at 23.6% (24.4% vs. RHP), he’s once again in a great spot for GPPs.

Value Cash/Single-Entry GPP Play: Charlie Morton ($8,700)

At one point, a matchup against the Nationals would have scared me off a guy like Morton, and there may still be some oblivious DFS folks who don’t take advantage of what we’re really getting on this slate with the veteran hurler in this spot. That’s a solid floor of around 30-35 FD points and the opportunity to notch 55-60+ points if he hits his ceiling. Over his past nine starts dating back to June 17, Morton has at least 25 FD points in every one, with four in the 45+ point range and three at 52, 54 and 64 FD points. The Nats have been decimated by injuries and trades and have only or two hitters that really frighten me, so I’ll have some shares of Morton in both cash and GPPs where I may need the extra $1,000 to $1,300 to squeeze in a potent stack.

MLB DFS: The Bases

Top Stack: Colorado Rockies

This idea that we don’t have to tell you to play hitters n Coors has been around for quite a while, but some days you need to reiterate just how high the team total for Colorado (or in many cases their opponent) is. Today’s the home team is in a really great spot against a talented but unproven starter in Jesus Luzardo that may not be ready for the Mile-High treatment. There’s a very good avenue to some decent value in fastball-mashing Brendan Rogers ($3,500) and Elias Diaz ($3,400) before we have to pay a premium for Trevor Story ($4,300) and C.J. Cron ($4,000), and we could always mix in a guy like Yonathan Daza ($3,000). It’s not a slate we need to overthink, and getting exposure to the Rockies is a good idea on a slate where they won’t garner that high of the ownership share.

GPP Stack: Cincinnati Reds

They’ve been RED-hot as of late and just got Mike Moustakas back from the IL Damn near everybody in the lineup got in on the action last night, and now we’ve got a roster chock full of left-handed hitters looking to annihilate Mitch Keller and exceed the massive projected 6+ run total the Cincy crew is carrying into the slate. Moustakas is a ridiculous bargain at $2,500, while some of the usual suspects — Joey Votto ($4,100), Jesse Winker ($4,100), Jonathan India ($3,700) and Nick Castellanos ($3,500) — still feel underpriced somehow. Throw in Kyle Farmer ($2,900), who’s been on absolute fire in the second half (.421/.470/.671 slash line, 1.141 OPS with a 200 wRC+), and lefty Tyler Naquin ($2,900) — and you’ve got plenty of options to choose from.

Contrarian Stack: Cleveland Indians

With the majority of ownership heading to the Rockies, Reds and likley the Dodgers and Braves, I’m more than happy to give the future Guardians a chance to put up galactic numbers against a weak Detroit southpaw (Tyler Alexander) and bullpen. Getting exposure to the top four — Myles Straw ($2,600), Amed Rosario ($2,900), Jose Ramirez ($3,700), Franmil Reyes ($3,500) is optimal, and we can take a few shots with Harold Ramirez (2,400), Bobby Bradley ($2,500) and Oscar Mercado ($2,500) if we need some bargain plays. If we want to pay up for a top arm and fade Coors in some lineups, there’s a few cheap and potent bats on the Detroit end (facing the hittable Eli Morgan) to make this a full game stack! Let’s go DET-CLE!!

Make sure to keep an eye on the starters as lineups are released. Good luck tonight, and please utilize the MLB Projection models to land on your one-offs and off-the-wall value plays!

Today’s edition of Aces and Bases focuses ONLY on FanDuel’s nine-game MLB DFS Main Slate for 7:05PM ET, hopefully finding you some green screens!

No major weather issues to keep rack of other than a few daytime/evening storms in St. Louis (which could delay the start of MIN-STL but most likely won’t get serious enough for PPD) and possible pop-ups around Atlanta.

MLB DFS: The Aces

Top MLB DFS Ace: Yu Darvish ($9,600)

Darvish has struggled in July but he comes at a discount against a Colorado lineup that should have trouble hitting his pitch arsenal — especially the cutter. Adam Strangis points out in his must-read 7/31 Starting Rotation article that the Rockies are among the worst in the league (and registering a putrid -4.7 Pitch Value vs. wCT over the past 30 days). While the team’s swinging strike rate and K% has decreased over the past month or so, there’s stil a lot of K potential here for Darvish — who projects for the highest FD total tonight among the available SPs. I’m looking at a floor of around 30-35 FD points with upside around 45-50 if he can get the W and QS.

Best GPP Value: Joe Ross ($7,400)

The price on Ross, who hadn’t officially been named the SP for tonight’s game against the firesale-depleted Cubs as of 11 a.m. EST, is just way to low for his 45-50 point upside. The Cubs’ team K rate is probably on the rise, and that almost guarantees a 25-30 point floor for the Nats righty. I think both pitchers in this game can be moderately successful, but with the early absence of Ross in the available SPs (with the green box checked for “show only probably pitchers”) I could see MLB DFS ownership coming in way below what it should for good old JR. Hendricks is $200 more and doesn’t have the same upside, but I’ll use him in maybe 1/10 GPP lineups just to get some variance.

Contrarian GPP Play: Aaron Nola ($11,000)

While Yu Darvish is discounted on FanDuel, Nola is mispriced at just $9,700 on DK — so we could see the Phillies fireballer come in way at lower ownership than normal as the top-priced arm on FD. The strikeout potential is through the roof for Nola facing a Pirates team that struggles against his signature four-seamer, where he gets most of his Ks. On the surface, Nola’s price seems a bit high when compared to the overall numbers of both Brandon Woodruff ($200 cheaper on FD) and Darvish, so he makes for a fine MLB DFS GPP play that probably won’t eclipse 25 or 30% ownership. With some of the massive value that’s out there in our forthcoming stacks, it shouldn’t be a problem affording him.

MLB DFS: The Bases

Top Stack: Chicago White Sox

Both sides of this game could post monster offensive numbers, and while I like the Indians as a GPP stack, the White Sox offer the most safety in cash games and single-entry builds. Cleveland SP Triston McKenzie has some electric stuff, but he walks 6.37 batters per 9 IP and is carrying a 5.61/5.15 ERA/FIP heading into tonight’s matchup. The three most important MLB DFS hitters to roster are Tim Anderson ($3,600), Jose Abreu ($3,400) and Yoan Moncada ($2,900), who came alive last night (3-for-5 with a HR and two runs scored). Abreu got plunked in the helmet last night and that caused a near fracas, so he might be looking for revenge today with the boomstick. Keep an eye on the status of Eloy Jimenez ($3,300), who’s DTD to with a groin issue, and also consider Andrew Vaughn ($2,900).

Value Stack: New York Mets

The Mets are in a great spot tonight against southpaw Wade Miley, who they faced on July 20. I always like a second crack at the same starting pitcher within a two-week time frame, and Miley wasn’t exactly boasting his best stuff in his last start on July 26 (my birthday!). They’ve added Javier Baez ($3,400) to their lineup, and he’s exactly what they need (.410 wOBA vs. LHP) to supplement the potent bats of Pete Alonso ($3,800 — and an even better wOBA vs. LHP than Baez) and the value laden J.D. Davis ($2,800) and James McCann ($2,200). Keep an eye on the status of the still-cheap Brandon Nimmo ($2700 — DTD with a hamstring “pinch”) and whatever the new lineup looks like with Baez in the mix, and consider lefty Jeff McNeil ($2,700) if he’s starting, since he’s sporting a .330 wOBA vs. LHP.

Contrarian Stack: Seattle Mariners

The Mariners aren’t a bunch that I get excited about stacking too often, but given the fact that they always fly under the radar and the smash spot some of these right-handed hitters are in for this matchup, I’m getting some exposure in GPPs. They immediately stood out when I looked at team totals and matchups for tonight and I as subsequently giddy to find out they were highlighted as the primary stack in Adam’s article (this could mean BIG GREEN SCREENS for WinDaily subscribers tonight)! I’m anchoring my stacks to Mitch Haniger ($3,400) and his .380 wOBA vs. LHP over his last 108 AB. Haniger has 10 HRs in those 108 AB and will be on all my SEA stacks. After that I’ll be mixing in three-man combinations among Ty France ($2,800), Luis Torrens ($2,600), Dylan Moore ($2,600), the recently acquired Abraham Toro ($2,500) and lefties Kyle Seager ($3,100) and leadoff hitter J.P Crawford ($2,500) — who both have wOBAs north of .300 against LHP.

One or more of that group might sit out tonight, so keep an eye on the starters as lineups are released. Good luck tonight, and make sure you utilize the MLB Projection models to land on your one-offs and off-the-wall value plays!

We’ve got five hitters for you in the 9/6 MLB DFS main (1:05 p.m. EST) slate in large-field FD GPPs, where it pays to be fearless and swing for the fences.

9/6 MLB DFS – C-1B Jose Abreu (FD $3,800) CWS @ KC

I’ve made the mistake of fading Abreu in favor if cheaper options before, and it’s a rough lesson to learn. Everything about the Cuban slugger’s matchup today is favorable, from the opposing pitcher (“Oh How Far Have You Fallen, Matt Harvey?” could be a modern folk song performed in sandlots by hipster troubadours) to the 20 mph winds blowing out among the ramped-up heat and humidity. I’ll be targeting a few hitters from the ChiSox today, but Abreu is the first.

9/6 MLB DFS – 2B D.J. LeMahieu (FD $3,900) NYY at BAL

We’ll need to find some value plays later in our GPP lineups, but there will be plenty of time for that one we delve into the outfield, where there’s always bargain options worth a look. For now, let’s focus on high-upside plays like LeMahieu, who along with his general awesomeness against RHPs (.408 wOBA) so far this season) has a history of smashing poor Asher Wojciechowski, the poster boy for dumpster fires. Just be aware that since both the Yankees and White Sox have the highest implied totals of the day, three of my five targets here will be players from those squads – and I’ll be using players from those games in my GPP stacks.

9/6 MLB DFS – 3B Josh Donaldson (FD $2,800) MIN vs. DET

We’re still getting a massive discount on Donaldson from the FanDuel algorithm since he’s only a few games back from injury, and if we want anybody with a pulse on the bump on our teams, we’re going to have to get some sub $3K players in here. The veteran masher is hitting second in the potent Twins lineup and faces a rookie pitcher (RHP Casey Mize) who skipped AAA and is definitely going to have his hands full today. This might be where I stray a bit from my CHW and NYY stacks because I’m not as high on switch-hitting Yoan Moncada, whose numbers against RHP aren’t as great, and hot corner savant Giovanny Urshela is on the IL.

UPDATE: With no Donaldson in the lineup, the Twins look a little less potent and you can pivot to a similarly priced Austin Riley or Travis Shaw.

9/6 MLB DFS – SS Gleyber Torres (FD $2,800) NYY at BAL

Torres has struggled this season with injuries and ineptitude at the plate, but if there’s a venue that will get the good vibes going for him again, it’s Camden Yards – where he boasted a 1.667 OPS (not a typo) in 36 plate appearances in 2019 and 7 of his 12 hits were homers. We don’t always like to play guys who are scuffling, but he notched a double and a walk last night and this could be the spot he breaks out in a big way. I wouldn’t question your decision to play either White Sox SS Tim Anderson or Twins SS Jorge Polanco if you don’t trust Torres yet, but I’m fearlessly forging into the fray with Gleyber!

UPDATE: Ugh. Another spot where we have to pivot. Jorge Polanco makes the most sense and you can always adjust another spot to fit in Tim Anderson.

9/6 MLB DFS – OF Jesse Winker (FD $2,900) CIN @ PIT

While generational talent Luis Robert and RHP destroyer Eloy Jimenez will be anchors in many of my GPPs, I’ve got to highlight the insane value we’re getting from Winker, who’s realizing his massive potential and sporting a .432 wOBA vs. RHPs in 2020 (including a .329 ISO and eight homers in 85 AB). Winker comes in at an affordable price in the heart of the Reds order against a relatively woeful and eminently hittable Chad Kuhl, who’s taken his lumps from the Cincy offense.

NOTE: My pitching will be a mix of Masahiro Tanaka (always a nail-biting GPP play with upside) and the occasional high-priced option when I can find enough value in the $2,200-$2,800 range for UTIL and the third OF position.

Good luck!

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Catcher

Tom Murphy, SEA at BAL

DK ($4,200), FD ($3,200)

Murphy’s breakout season has been built on the backs of woeful lefties, whom he has a .348/.402/.714 slash line against with 11 of his 18 homers coming against them. Having a moderate-priced catcher with a 47.8% fly ball rate should pay dividends in Camden Yards. Orioles rookie John Means gets the start and has somehow managed to post a 3.65 ERA despite a 50.6% fly ball rate. Bet on Murphy putting a boost to Means’ 9.7% HR/FB rate.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — First Baseman

Ryan Braun, MIL at PIT

DK ($4,500), FD ($3,200)

With six hits in his last three games, Braun is doing his part to keep the Brewers’ postseason hopes alive. Five of his last eight hits have been for extra bases, which has shot his OPS to 1.027 over the last week. His power numbers are similar to his 2018 production, but Braun’s .319 BABIP is 45 points higher, resulting in his career-high 45.3% hard contact rate having more impact.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Second Baseman

Yoan Moncada, CWS at DET

DK ($4,400), FD ($3,800)

Moncada has spent much of 2019 torturing Tigers pitching. He’s hit .357/.404/.714 with four homers and 11 RBI off Detroit hurlers and comes into today with a .474/.492/754 slash line over the past two weeks. Moncada’s .403 BABIP hides the sins of a 7.6% walk rate and 27.5% strikeout rate. His line drive rate of 23.7% and improved ability to hit to all fields makes him a great play in the 9/22 DFS Hitting Picks lineup.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Third Baseman

Miguel Sano, MIN vs. KC

DK ($5,200), FD ($4,000)

Despite hitting .244 against Kansas City pitching this season, Sano has made the Royals hurt when he does reach base. Six of his 10 hits off KC hurlers have been for extra bases, including four homers. Sano has a 1.019 OPS this month, driven mainly by a .394 OBP that should scare the hell out of all of us if this carries into 2020. To what should be shocking to no one, Sano manages soft contact just 9.3% of the time, so you’re going to be cheated when using him today.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Shortstop

Carlos Correa, HOU vs. LAA

DK ($5,200), FD ($3,800)

Ponder the fact that Correa has 21 homers and 59 RBI in just 75 games. Prorate those numbers, and you’d be talking about a potential AL MVP candidate. He’s a monster at Minute Maid Park, sporting a 1.034 OPS with 11 of his 21 homers coming at home. His .282 Isolated Power and a 17-point improvement in BABIP only makes you wonder what he could have done had he stayed healthy this season. After a 28.8% hard contact rate in 2019, Correa comes into today with a 44.7% rate. Can’t make up for lost time, so indulge in Correa’s final home game of the regular season.

Upgrade now!

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Eloy Jimenez, CWS at DET

DK ($4,100), FD ($4,100)

He’s had four multi-hit games in his past six starts, continuing a blistering September that has seen Jimenez hit .358 with seven homers and 21 RBI. Jimenez has been surprisingly more effective outside of hitter-friendly Guaranteed Rate Field, producing an .875 OPS compared to .750 at home. His modest 33.6% fly ball rate is countered by a 27.1% HR/FB rate, all the more reason Tigers ace Matthew Boyd had better be on notice.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Howie Kendrick, WAS at MIA

DK ($5,200), FD ($2,800)

He. Won’t. Stop. Hitting. Kendrick is 10-for-17 (.588) during a September run where he’s swinging it at a .432/.468/.659 clip. Unlike most of the aforementioned players in the 9/22 DFS Hitting Picks, Kendrick isn’t a serious threat to homer, but he will continue spraying the ball all over the field. He’s making hard contact at a 45.8% rate, which means a lot of his grounders (48.9%) are quickly finding their way past outfielders.

9/22 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Trey Mancini, BAL vs. SEA

DK ($4,100), FD ($5,100)

Mancini has a nine-game hitting streak and has scored at least one run in seven of his past 10 games. What has made his season interesting is that for a hitter whose hard contact rate is just about league-average (36.9%) who also doesn’t put the ball in the air as much as you’d think (31.7%), he’s pounding the daylights out of the ball. Mancini’s hitting more line drives (21.8%), but the hidden number just might be his .319 BABIP, which is nearly on par to his 2017 coming out party.

9/22 DFS Hitting Stacks

9/22 Hitting Stack of the Day: Houston Astros: As a team, the Astros hit .282/.360/.512 at Minute Maid Park, so why not load up one last time this season? Yordan Alvarez ($4,300 FD) and Alex Bregman ($5,400 DK) are anchors that can hold on to Jose Altuve ($4,200 FD) and Michael Brantley ($4,500 FD). It will cost to go all-in with an Astros stack, so be prepared to find a punt at pitcher.

9/22 Hitting Stack Runner-Up: Minnesota Twins: Start with Sano and build from there with Max Kepler ($4,700 FD), Mitch Garver ($5,500 FD) and Eddie Rosario ($4,900 FD). Make sure to add Ehire Adrianza ($3,400 FD) if the OBP machine is in the lineup.

9/22 Hitting Stack to Consider: Chicago White Sox: Moncada and Jimenez are the building blocks. Add Jose Abreu ($3,700 FD) to corner the market on the heart of the Chicago order. Yolmer Sanchez ($2,500 FD) is an interesting add considering he has five hits in 11 at-bats against Boyd.

All but one game of today’s 15-game slate is under the lights, giving the 9/20 DFS Hitting Picks a buffet table of offense and a handful of stacks. With a somewhat light host of available money pitchers, load up on offense on the road to the long green.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Catcher

Roberto Perez, CLE vs. PHI

DK ($3,800), FD ($2,700)

Perez is smashing hurlers to the tune of .395/.447/.558 this month with a pair of homers and 12 RBI. His numbers haven’t changed much compared to last season…that is, with the notable exception of his Isolated Power, which sits at .216 after a woeful .095 last season. Perez has also boosted his BABIP to .286, a 29-point jump from 2018. Phillies hurler Drew Smyly has a 2.64 HR/9 rate that may suggest Perez being a part of an Indians stack.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — First Baseman

Trey Mancini, BAL vs. SEA

DK ($5,200), FD ($4,200)

There’s also OF eligibility with Mancini, who might be the hottest hitter in the game entering today’s play. He’s in the midst of a 15-for-32 (.469) run that includes four homers and 16 RBI over the past week. Mancini has a modest 31.8% fly ball rate, but counters that with a 24.3% HR/FB rate. A look at his numbers might suggest he’s scalding the dickens out of the ball, but Mancini’s hard contact rate (37.3%) is just above average. Facing the fading shell of Felix Hernandez should allow Mancini to continue his beatdown of AL pitching.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Second Baseman

Yoan Moncada, CWS at DET

DK ($4,800), FD ($3,800)

Moncada has a .986 OPS in 34 at-bats against Tigers pitching this season with three homers among his 11 hits. He’ll also have 3B eligibility, making him a solid 9/20 DFS Hitting Picks candidate. The power (one homer) isn’t as prolific as it was earlier in the season, but his overall .228 Isolated Power is a mild indication of what’s capable of down the road. The number of soft hits has reduced, with harder contact rate (39.5%) and an uptick in line drives makes him a good play in a potential stack lineup against 1-11 Tigers hurler Jordan Zimmermann.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Third Baseman

Miguel Sano, MIN vs. KC

DK ($4,900), FD ($3,600)

He’s something of a value at FanDuel as he gets a plumb matchup against Eric Skoglund, he of the 8.36 ERA in 14 innings. Sano has homered four times in his last seven games, driving in 10. A .265 batting average this month has been modest, but Sano has a .991 OPS driven in part by a surprising .379 OBP. It was once said Sano could hit 50 homers with a better OBP, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Although he fans 36% of the time, his 12.7% walk rate has bolstered his production. Well, that, and the 51.7% hard contact rate.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Shortstop

Corey Seager, LAD vs. COL

DK ($3,400), FD ($4,300)

It looks like Seager is going into the postseason with momentum, having hit .405 with five ribbies in the past week. Like the rest of the Dodgers, Seager will be giddy at the prospects of hitting against Rockies rookie pitcher Peter Lambert, who has a composite .333/.402/.597 slash against left-handed hitters and has allowed a combined 17 homers in 86.1 innings. It’s at this point where secondary stats are unnecessary. You should know what to do next.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Kyle Tucker, HOU vs. LAA

DK ($5,000), FD ($2,800)

Look for Tucker’s name to frequent the Astros’ lineup now that they’ve clinched a postseason berth. He’s striking out at a 26.1% rate, but the power he lacked in his brief time in the bigs last season has shown up, evidenced by a .205 Isolated Power rate. Tucker’s fly ball rate and hard contact rate are both 46.9%; you could look at every other player in the majors and probably won’t get that odd pairing again.

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Matt Beaty, LAD vs. COL

DK ($4,000), FD ($2,700)

Beaty should be in the lineup, having hit .283 with a pair of homers and 10 RBI in 46 at-bats against Rockies pitching this season. Beaty has mauled righties with an .881 OPS and also fares better at home, where his OPS sits at .865. September hasn’t been too productive for Beaty (.194 BA, .654 OPS), yet he’s still online to make the postseason roster. He’ll continue to make hard contact (41.7%) at an above-average level, while Beaty’s 13.2% HR/FB rate makes the most of a limited fly ball rate (33%).

9/20 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Eloy Jimenez, CWS at DET

DK ($4,300), FD ($4,000)

A 1.093 OPS with six homers and 17 RBI this month makes us feel like Jimenez is sending a warning shot toward opposing pitchers in 2020. The most encouraging number is a .403 OBP. My goodness, if Jimenez is learning plate discipline, then it’s time to be afraid. He’s not going to be in this range of salary a year from now, so I’d enjoy the rising hard contact rate (37.8%) and a 48.6% ground ball rate that I’d bet will closer to 40% next September. Like his teammate Yoan Moncada, feasting off Jordan Zimmermann makes Jimenez a good play.

9/20 DFS Hitting Stacks

9/20 Hitting Stack of the Day: Minnesota Twins: Skgolund will see a stack of righties from Minnesota, including the aforementioned Sano. Jonathan Schoop ($2,700 FanDuel) and Ehire Adrianza ($2,000 FD) are values if either/or is in the lineup. I’d look strongly at Mitch Garver ($5,500 DraftKings), and Nelson Cruz ($5,300 DK) as well.

9/20 Hitting Stack Runner-Up: Chicago White Sox: Jimenez and Moncada would lead the way. Zach Collins ($2,400 FD) is an interesting value play due to his power. Jose Abreu ($4,500 DK) is a must, as he has two career homers off of Zimmermann.

9/20 Hitting Stack to Consider: Los Angeles Dodgers: Beaty and Seager are part of a group that includes Joc Pederson ($4,200 DK), Cody Bellinger ($4,500 FD), Gavin Lux ($3,000 FD) and Will Smith ($2,600 FD) who are good options to tee off on Lambert.

The 9/18 Hitting Picks — at least the main slate — is hampered by the fact that five of the 15 games are daytime starts. Rather than be completely single-minded, we’ll give a nudge or two to the daytime folk.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Catcher

Omar Navarez, SEA at PIT

DK ($4,200), FD ($2,800)

Navarez hit his 22nd homer of the season in Tuesday’s shutout win over the Pirates, continuing a run that has seen the lefty-swinging backstop hit .391 with three homers, six RBI and five runs scored over the past week. His .861 OPS versus right-handers sets him up well against Pirates hurler Dario Agrazal, who has a 7.08 ERA since July 26. Agrazal has allowed 12 homers in just 62.1 innings.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — First Baseman

Trey Mancini, BAL at TOR

DK ($4,900), FD ($3,900)

One of the few highlights of another dismal season in B-More, Mancini (who also has OF eligibility) has spent much of 2019 pounding Blue Jays pitching. Entering tonight’s game, Mancini has a .996 OPS with six homers and 19 RBI versus Toronto. His 8.9% walk rate has helped Mancini become more than just a masher. Mancini hits to all fields and sports a 25% HR/FB rate despite a surprisingly low 31.6% fly ball rate.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Second Baseman

Ozzie Albies, ATL vs. PHI

DK ($4,800), FD ($3,400)

He’s put the hammer down this month. Albies has a 1.029 OPS in September with four homers, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored. He’s also recorded five multi-hit games over his last nine starts along with building upon an already impressive 42.4% hard contact rate. Like Mancini with the Blue Jays, Albies has thrived versus Phillies pitching, going .343/.395/.600 (.995 OPS), earning him the same vulgar looks Philly fans have given to the likes of other enemies like Joe Carter, Terrell Owens and Santa Claus.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Third Baseman

Miguel Sano, MIN at CWS

DK ($5,000), FD ($3,600)

Sano’s 486-foot moonshot on Tuesday was his third blast in his last four games since the Twins returned to American League play. After missing four straight games, Sano will continue to rake, as he has recorded four hits and a .955 OPS in 10 at-bats against Ivan Nova, who gets the nod tonight against the White Sox. A cool stat about Sano: he has a .708 slugging percentage in his last 58 at-bats against curveball specialists like Nova. Hmmm…

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Shortstop

Adalberto Mondesi, KC at OAK

DK ($4,600), FD ($3,600)

Wait, wasn’t he not supposed to run? Mondesi didn’t get the memo, having recorded a pair of stolen bases over the past week. After a sluggish start to his return from the DL, Mondesi has stolen eight bases this month. He’s also recorded six hits over his last three games, making him an exception to the day’s main slate rule. Mondesi has a good 38.1% hard contact rate and remains a pull-centric hitter (45.9% rate). Even with missing a significant portion of the season, Mondesi will get at least 40 steals. Imagine how many more he could tally if he improved his 4% walk rate and 29.1% strikeout rate.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Kyle Schwarber, CHI vs. CIN

DK ($4,400), FD ($3,600)

In his deepest thoughts, Schwarber must be thinking, “this is what plate discipline feels like!” He’s put together a .369 OBP this month to go along with a 1.064 OPS. Schwarber has banged out five homers, 17 RBI and 13 runs scored. Whether he can bottle that up for traditional Fantasy isn’t the issue here. What is is that Schwarber is 4-for-10 against Reds starter Tyler Mahle with a homer and an 1.155 OPS.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Eloy Jimenez, CWS at MIN

DK ($4,000), FD ($3,900)

With a pair of three-hit games over the past three, Jimenez has tacked on 12 points to his batting average, putting him at .261. While he has scuffled against Twins pitching, Jimenez does have three homers against them and comes into tonight having hit .433 with three homers and eight RBI over the past week. Jimenez has boosted his Isolated Power to .234 along with raising his hard contact rate to 37.8%.

9/18 DFS Hitting Picks — Outfielder

Kyle Lewis, SEA at PIT

DK ($3,800), FD ($3,500)

The rookie’s 34.4% strikeout rate looks like some grotesque scene from the Saw movie franchise, but — like Jigsaw — Lewis is alive. It certainly helps to have a .467 Isolated Power and making the most of a 55% medium contact rate. There’s the prospect of a mild Mariners stack that begins with Lewis and Navarez.

9/11 DFS Hitting Stacks

9/18 Hitting Stack of the Day: Minnesota Twins: The White Sox plan to use Ivan Nova in the opener role. That means the Twins can tee off on a Chicago bullpen that has allowed 75 homers. Nelson Cruz ($3,200 FD) has two homers and an 1.134 OPS against Nova. Mitch Garver ($3,100 FD) could also be fit into a stack that would include the aforementioned Sano.

9/18 Hitting Stack Runner-Up: Houston Astros: Rangers starter Kolby Allard has a 2.28 ERA on the road. The Astros are expensive, as usual, but building with Yordan Alvarez ($5,600 DK) and Yuli Gurriel ($4.400 DK) would be helped with bargain bats Jake Marisnick ($3,700 DK) and Abraham Toro ($3,500) should both find their way into the lineup.

9/18 Hitting Stack to Consider: Cincinnati Reds: Cubs lefty Jon Lester has allowed 15 runs in his last 10.1 innings. Eugenio Suarez ($3,900 FD) has five career homers off Lester. Aristides Aquino ($3,400 FD) snapped out of a funk by hitting his 16th homer on Tuesday, Light-hitting Jose Peraza ($2,000 FD) has also tagged Lester well, having hit .353 against him 34 career at-bats.

A surprisingly light Wednesday awaits, as the 9/4 DFS Hitting Picks and Stacks will focus on the eight games that comprise the main slate (five games) and the late schedule (three).

The emphasis will be on those playing the full evening slate, one that lacks elite pitching outside of Shane Bieber of the Indians and Hyun-Jin Ryu of the Dodgers.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Catcher

Mitch Garver, MIN at BOS

DK ($5,600), FD ($3,400)

Garver (jaw) missed Tuesday’s game, but is a likely go tonight. There’s good reason why he’s expense at DraftKings, as Garver has produced a 1.248 OPS over the past two weeks with three homers, eight runs scored and five RBI. Like most of (with apologies to Ole and Arn Anderson) the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Garver has a monster Isolated Power total (.345), but he’s at his most dangerous on the road, where Garver has a 1.023 OPS with 15 homers and 35 RBI. You have to also love the combination of his 47.2% fly ball rate and 46.1% hard contact rate, which is why Garver’s a heck of a play.

8/30 DFS Hitting Picks – First Baseman

Rhys Hoskins, PHI at CIN

DK ($4,500), FD ($3,700)

Reds starter Trevor Bauer, he of the 8.40 ERA since arriving in Cincinnati, must face Hoskins, whose bat has come alive at just the right time for the Phillies. Hoskins hit just .161 for the month of August, but he’s hammered pitchers to a 1.015 OPS over the past two weeks and opened September with a pair of homers on Labor Day. With a 17.4% walk rate, Hoskins doesn’t need to go deep to touch base. Like the aforementioned Garver, Hoskins has a (very) strong fly ball rate at 51.5% to go along with a 45% hard contact rate, two very good traits to have at Great American Ball Park.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Second Baseman

Whit Merrifield, KC vs. DET

DK ($4,700), FD ($3,600)

Merrifield has a homer in the three previous times he’s faced Tigers hurler Edwin Jackson. While becoming less of a baserunner, Merrifield’s Isolated Power (.172) took a 34-point jump from 2018 along with a sharp increase in HR/FB% (10.3%). Merrifield had three hits on Tuesday night, and stands to imagine he should be a good 9/4 DFS Hitting Picks member considering he’s going against Tigers pitching.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Shortstop

Kevin Newman, PIT vs. MIA

DK ($4,800), FD ($3,600)

The leg tightness that has kept Newman’s blistering bat on the bench the past two games should be a thing of the past. Newman has five multi-hit games in his last seven starts and was hitting .588/.611/1.176 (1.787 OPS) with three homers over the past week. Where the power he didn’t display in the minors came from is beyond me, but Newman’s 60.9% medium contact rate from last season graduated to 51.1% due in part to an increased 27.8% hard contact rate. Aristides Aquino he’s not, but you’ll take Newman picking up where he left off.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Third Baseman

Yoan Moncada, CWS at CLE

DK ($4,100), FD ($2,900)

No matter how good a pitcher is, there’s always a batter who has his number. In what feels like a 2019 edition of Major League II, Moncada is Jack Parkman to Biber’s Ricky Vaughn, having recorded five hits in nine career at-bats against the Indians ace with a pair of solo homers and a 1.933 OPS. Perhaps this is what Moncada needs. After all, he’s hitting .182 over the past two weeks, but five of those eight hits are for extra bases (three doubles, two homers). For those of the risky nature, this matchup is sneaky good.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Outfielder

Jorge Soler, KC vs. DET

DK ($4,700), FD ($3,800)

Hmmm…a Royals stack (later)? Soler OWNS Detroit to the point where he could run for mayor in the D. Soler has gone .444/.500/1.000 (1.500 OPS) with nine homers among the 17 extra base hits he’s racked up against the Tigers. Oh, yeah: he’s scored 28 runs and driven 25. It’s at this point where I don’t have to give you hard contact rate percentage or fly ball frequency. Of the 9/4 DFS Hitting Picks, Soler is the one bat you must have in your lineup.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Outfielder

Eloy Jimenez, CWS at CLE

DK ($3,600), FD ($2,500)

That picturesque stroke is starting to gain traction, evidenced by a .414 batting average and 1.088 OPS over the past week. Jimenez has a pair of homers in the same span, and why the lack of plate discipline continues to disappoint, the 36.9% hard contact rate continues to rise and offer reason for a strong September. Oddly enough, he’s done well against Cleveland this season, hitting .375/.394/.656 with a pair of dingers among his 12 hits. He’s a cheap play that’s worth adding to the lineup. Few will be bold to take him against Shane Bieber, but I would.

9/4 DFS Hitting Picks – Outfielder

Aristides Aquino, CIN vs. PHI

DK ($5,200), FD ($4,300)

For all of his historic power display, the most impressive thing about Aquino has been his patience at the plate. Over the past two weeks, Aquino has a .361 OBP. His 7.1% walk rate is a sign that he’s realizing he doesn’t have to chase everything while waiting for the right pitch to wallop into the nether reaches of Great American Ball Park. Aquino is still doing damage despite the fact his hard contact rate has dipped to 36.5%. That’s cool, since his HR/BB% remains a devastating 37.5%. He’s becoming an advanced enough hitter to where it’s OK to slot him in the lineup, even against Aaron Nola.

9/4 DFS Hitting Stacks

9/4 Hitting Stack of the Day: Kansas City Royals: Both Merrifield and Soler have gone deep against Jackson. Hunter Dozier ($4,600 DK) has a homer and four RBI in his last three games. Aldalberto Mondesi ($3,700 FD) has four hits and three runs in his first two games off an extended DL stop. Crazy as it sounds, loading up on Royals could lead to the long green.

9/4 Hitting Stack Runner-Up: Philadelphia Phillies: Start with Hoskins and consider adding Bryce Harper ($5,300 DK), who has seven runs scored and seven RBI to go along with a pair of homers over the past week. J.T. Realmuto ($3,600) is a solid play, and Corey Dickerson ($4,700) has the edge in a lefty-righty matchup against the slumping Trevor Bauer.

8/30 Hitting Stack to Consider: New York Yankees: The Yankees are playing in an early slate, but if you’re playing a full slate, keep in mind that it’s Rangers ace Lance Lynn on the mound. Lynn is more effective outside of Texas with a 111-27 K:BB rate in 88 innings on the road. The Yankees options are familiar, but this has Buyer Beware written all over it.

We killed it on Monday with players like Bo Bichette, Rougned Odor and Matt Adams and we’re going to look to build off that momentum here. It is Wednesday, so that means we have baseball spread all throughout the day. I always try to offer up players from different slates to cater to each of you and I feel as though we have some great 8/14 DFS Hitting plays here!

8/14 DFS Hitting Catcher

Carson Kelly, ARI at COL

DK ($5,200)   FD ($3,400)

If you’ve been following my articles, you already know who we’re riding at catcher. Kelly gets to face a lefty and that means he’s getting into our lineups. Let’s take another look at those ridiculous splits, with Kelly generating a .400 AVG, .494 OBP, .800 SLG and 1.294 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this season. That doesn’t even take into consideration that his team’s total is approaching seven in a hitter’s haven like Coors Field. Not to mention, he faces Kyle Freeland and his 7.06 ERA and 1.61 WHIP.

8/14 DFS Hitting First Basemen

Pete Alonso, NYM at ATL

DK ($5,500)   FD ($4,100)

Alonso has seen his price drop a little bit because of a slide after the All-Star break but it’s really tough to fade The Polar Bear against a lefty. A .657 SLG and 1.017 OPS against left-handers speaks for itself and it’s really not far off of his season-long averages. In fact, Alonso has a .592 SLG and .955 OPS for the year. That’s truly frightening for a guy like Dallas Keuchel, who just allowed eight runs to the putrid Miami Marlins in his last start.

8/14 DFS Hitting Second Basemen

Hanser Alberto, BAL at NYY

DK ($3,800)   FD ($2,700)

Alberto is always a favorite of mine when he faces a left-hander and it’s really shocking just how low these DFS sites keep his price. It’s simply hard to argue with these splits, with Alberto providing a .414 AVG, .541 SLG and .970 OPS against southpaws this season. That means that these prices should be about $1,000 more and him batting leadoff only adds to his value. It’s not like J.A. Happ is a pitcher we need to worry about either, with the Yankees lefty pitching to a 5.48 ERA and 1.35 WHIP this season.

8/14 DFS Hitting Third Basemen

Vladimir Guerrero Jr, TOR vs. TEX

DK ($4,000)   FD ($3,500)

All of these youngsters are really starting to blossom in Toronto and it’s no doubt that Guerrero is the centerpiece to this club. Many people projected him as the best prospect since Bryce Harper and he’s really showing signs of that player recently. In fact, Guerrero is hitting .388 over his last 22 games en route to a .682 SLG and 1.129 OPS. That’s awesome with Cavan Biggio and Bo Bichette also playing well and this is a completely different lineup right now with all of these young studs performing. Getting the platoon advantage for Guerrero is the bonus, as he’ll oppose Kolby Allard, who’s only made one Major League appearance.

8/14 DFS Hitting Shortstop

Carlos Correa, HOU at CWS

DK ($5,200)   FD ($4,400)

We definitely want to get some Astros in there against Ross Detwiler. The simple fact is, Detwiler has been pitching in the minors for the majority of the last three seasons and its easy to see why. In 147 innings in the Majors since 2015, Detwiler is pitching to a 6.32 ERA and 1.75 WHIP. Those are disastrous numbers against a righty-heavy lineup like this and Correa should help do some serious damage in the heart of their order. Not only does Correa have a .418 OBP and 1.011 OPS against left-handers this season, he’s also got a 1.138 OPS over his last 13 games in total.

8/14 DFS Hitting Outfielders

Ronald Acuna, ATL vs. NYM

DK ($5,700)   FD ($4,500)

This guy is going nuts right now. I truly believe that this is the most talented player in our game and he’s showing why with his recent form. Over his last 10 games, Acuna has eight homers, 14 runs scored, 15 RBI and three steals en route to a .378 AVG, .933 SLG and 1.382 OPS. Those are obviously ridiculous numbers but his 33 homers and 28 steals for the year shows that it’s no fluke. That form paired with this matchup is a beautiful thing, with Acuna getting the platoon advantage against Steven Matz, who’s pitching to a 4.49 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.

Franmil Reyes, CLE vs. BOS

DK ($3,700)   FD ($2,800)

Reyes has been terrible since joining the Indians but he’s got too much potential to be priced this cheap. The 29 home runs speak loudly, as a .507 SLG and .264 ISO shows the sort of power potential this big masher has. That alone makes him a nice value at this price and Cleveland batting him cleanup shows that they have trust in him. It’s not like this is a scary matchup either, with Reyes getting the platoon advantage against Brian Johnson’s 7.23 ERA and 2.03 WHIP.

Eloy Jimenez, CWS vs. HOU

DK ($3,400)   FD ($3,000)

Eloy is a regular in my articles and I truly believe that he’s going to be a special player for years to come. The 18 homers in 81 games tell you everything you need to know about this kid, as he simply has elite power. What makes him intriguing on this slate is that he gets to face a lefty, with Jimenez generating a 1.215 OPS against lefties last year at Triple-A. Wade Miley is not a southpaw we should fear either, as his 4.43 xFIP is way off of his 2.99 ERA.

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Day

Acuna/Donaldson/Alonso Over 7.5 Total Bases

All of these guys are in this article, so this was a relatuvely easy pick.

Play MLB Player Prop Games and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Vogelbach, Smith and Santana Over 6.5 Total Bases

We have to get Mariners in there against Edwin Jackson. A 9.35 ERA and 1.96 WHIP is simply unacceptable and we definitely believe these guys could reach 10 bases between them.

MKF Record 26-16
