NHL Betting Picks Sunday 4/4

Happy Easter! Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Sunday 4/4. The Model had a 1-2 night however we were positive due to our huge dog Senators (+215) bullying the Habs in a 6-3 win. The Isles/Flyers played conservative and we missed that over by 0.5 goals, and the Rangers again needed OT against Buffalo this time losing in shootout. Negative by win percentage but positive by units, we will take it.

We have 6 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, -134) and Money Line (-345) over the Red Wings
  • Capitals Money Line (-165) over the Devils
  • Panthers Puck Line (-1.5, +135) and Money Line (-190) over the Blue Jackets
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-165) over the Stars
  • Coyotes Money Line (-136) over the Ducks
  • Maple Leafs Money Line (-155) over the Flames

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Devils ML (+155): The Devils are definitely the worse team here, no doubt about it. However it is very hard to lose 8 straight games to 1 team. The Devils are 0-5-2 against Washington this year. The game on Friday the Devils played a very even game and had opportunities in OT to pull this out. This line provides a little value here on the Devs (Model ML is +148), so we are riding.

Hurricanes -1 (-107): The Stars squeaked out a 3-2 win last night against Carolina, however the Hurricanes dominated the game. They had 60% CF, 62% SCF, and 65% HDCF. For reference anything above 50% means they were better than their opponent. Petr Mrazek should be making his return today from injury and looked very good early in the season. We like the Hurricanes to bounce back today and get the win.

Lightning/Red Wings Over (5.5, -103): Late add here on the news that Lightning will be starting Chris Gibson. Who is Chris Gibson? I have no idea and that is why I am taking the over. This game also ended 2-1 yesterday so we are due for some goals. Get it quick before the line jumps as the goalie news just came out.

NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/18

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/18. Yet another undefeated night for The Model. The Jets were up 3-1 but the Habs got 2 quick ones to push it to overtime before Ehlers got the game winner for the Jets. The Oilers offense exploded to an easy 7-3 win over the Flames. Both plus money underdogs, we love to see that.

We have 10 games on the slate for tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Penguins Money Line (-155) over the Devils
  • Bruins Money Line (-265) over the Sabres
  • Bruins/Sabres Under Goals (5.5, -127)
  • Panthers Money Line (-205) over the Predators
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-190) AND Puck Line (-1.5, +145) over the Blue Jackets
  • Blue Jackets/Hurricanes Under Goals (5.5, -108)
  • Red Wings Puck Line (+1.5, -165) over the Stars
  • Jets Money Line (+125) AND Puck Line (+1.5, -190) over the Oilers
  • Wild Puck Line (+1.5, -200) over the Avalanche
  • Ducks Puck Line (+1.5, -235) over the Coyotes

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. The game to watch tonight will be the Wild and Avalanche. While I’m not putting any action on that game it should showcase 2 of the best teams in the league this season. Not to mention the Avs are getting Makar and Byram back on defense which should provide them a boost.

My Picks

Free Picks

Ducks ML +115: The Ducks and the Coyotes are relatively even teams this season, and the Ducks have a goaltending edge with Gibson projected against Hill. In their last 10 games the Coyotes are last in the league in Corsi For Percentage and Expected Goals Percentage. Last night worked well taking 2 dogs and we are hoping the dogs continue to bark tonight. UPDATE: Miller in net for Ducks, still like it but not as much.

Blue Jackets/Hurricanes Under Goals (5.5, -102): Both of these teams hit their overs at under 44% this season, Columbus specifically is only 16% on the road. Nedeljkovic has played well this year and Columbus has struggled to score which we why we like this under tonight.

Premium Pick

Lightning -1.5 (+106): The Lightning have had their way with Chicago this season sporting a record of 4-0-1. They have covered the puck line in only 2 of the 5 games, however Vasilevskiy is in net and the Lightning are +7.25u on the puck line as a favorite.

NHL Betting Picks Thursday 2/25

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 2/25. We had an easy 1-0 night with the Tampa Bay Lightning easily defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0. Once that goaltending matchup was announced I knew we instantly had an edge on the books so I hope you tailed! We have 10 games on the slate today.

Let’s take a look at the profitability and over win percentage of the teams playing tonight:

Dashboard Betting Edges

  • Oilers ML (-132) over the Canucks
  • Blackhawks +1.5 (-250) over the Blue Jackets
  • Capitals/Penguins Over 6.5 (-107)

Let’s keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies today.

There are couple lines I like today but won’t officially play:

The Devils ML (-109) against the Sabres. They lost their last two games to Buffalo but are the better team and have the goaltending edge. They should eventually be able to be at Buffalo but they’ve burned me the last two games so I can’t play them here.

Flames -1.5 (+155) against the Senators. Give the Sens some credit they have won a few games no one expected them to and DJ Smith has them playing some decent hockey. Having said that they are simply not a good hockey team as currently constructed. I thought the Flames played well in their 2 game series against Toronto, with solid goaltending from David Rittich. I like the Flames to handle the Sens by a decent margin tonight.

My Picks:

Blue Jackets ML -122: Columbus is coming off of a tough loss to Chicago on Tuesday in a high scoring affair. They return to play them again tonight. Columbus has a strong goaltending edge as Subban is confirmed for Chicago and Korpisalo for Columbus, which is driving the value in Columbus’s favor. Laine and Roslovic have fit in seamlessly since being traded from Winnipeg and Columbus should take care of business tonight.

Jets ML +110: The Canadiens are coming off a bad loss to the Senators on Tuesday which led to the dismissal of their head coach Claude Julien. Winnipeg won both of their games in their mini 2 game series against Vancouver, with the last one coming on Sunday. Hellebuyck should be in goal for Winnipeg which will give them the goaltending edge.

NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 2/24

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 2/24. A decent 1-1 day with our dog the Chicago Blackhawks (+115) winning a wild 6-5 game in a shootout and allowing us to be profitable on the day. Unfortunately the Devils (-127) laid an absolute egg against the Sabres.

Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today:

The biggest edges based on this dashboard for tonight’s matchups are Kings +1.5 (-195) over the Blues, Panthers ML (-137) over the Stars, and the Maple Leafs/Flames Under (6, -120).

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies.

My Pick:

Lightning ML -145: The only pick of the night. The Model really likes the Lightning and gives them around a -180 edge with the confirmed goalie matchup of Vasilevskiy (TB) and Nedeljkovic (CAR). The line will probably move to -155/-160 shortly so I would take it while you can. Tampa looked like the better team when they played on Monday, and with Carolina most likely getting the better goaltending matchup when they meet again tomorrow, I’d take Tampa tonight.

NHL Betting Picks Monday 2/22

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 2/22. An easy 1-0 night after the Bruins took care of business against the Flyers in Lake Tahoe by a score of 7-3 including a David Pastrnak hat trick. You knew he was going to have a great game when you saw this picture:

Image

We have 8 games on the slate tonight, lets take a look at the profitability and over win percentage on the season for the teams playing tonight.

To interact with the dashboard click this link.

The biggest edges based on the dashboard are the Puck Line for the Islanders (-1.5, +155) against the Sabres, the Money Line for the Maple Leafs (-182) against the Flames, the Money Line for the Panthers (-117) against the Stars, and the Over in the Kings/Blues game (5.5, -109).

Keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks:

Lightning ML -122: Tampa is coming off a 4-0 loss to the Hurricanes. Not going to overthink this one too much, they are the better team and should bounce back tonight against Carolina.

Kings/Blues Over 5.5 -109: Leveraging the dashboard above, I really like this play especially if Jonathan Quick is in goal for the Kings. The Kings give up a lot of High Danger Chances per Game and Quick has been below average in goal. Both teams average around 6 total goals per game and both teams hit their over > 60% of the time.

Flames ML +155: The Leafs have 3 injuries (Hyman, Muzzin, and Thornton) and the line is probably going to move soon. If you can get value on the Flames around +150 you should take it. Muzzin and Hyman are important pieces to this Leafs offense and should be priced around +125/+130 with these injuries so this is a pure value play.

Jacob’s Above Average Plays are back after sweeping last night. With three more above average plays we are sure to have another great night that you will not want to miss out on. Two NHL and one NBA play are going to make today a great day!

Take Carolina Hurricanes in regulation -107 versus Arizona Coyotes ( 7:30 pm EST, Friday 10 January 2020)

I’m going against Arizona tonight as I think they are in a really, really bad spot versus Carolina. These are two teams with different styles of play. Additionally, one of them is on a back to back while the other is at home on rest. That combination spells bad news for Arizona, who faces another tough test tonight.

Arizona got shut out by Tampa Bay last night, losing 4-0. This is their second game in as many days, and they do not play well in this situation. The eight-times Arizona has played back to back games, they have won on the second night only twice. The Coyotes were one of the league’s above-average teams, but in the last ten games – they have won just half. They have won only two of the five most recent road games, and they do not play well against Carolina. Carolina likes to play fast and score, and that’s just not Arizona’s game. They score less than three goals per game, ranking 19th in scoring offense when on the road. Arizona proved last night that what I said about them was true: they are paper tigers when playing above-average offenses.

Carolina, on the other hand, is playing great hockey. Winning twenty-five of their forty-three games, they are ranked fourth in the Metropolitan Division. That may not sound that great, but they are behind Pittsburgh, the Islanders, and Washington. They are ranked sixth in the NHL in scoring at home, scoring an average of 3.67 goals per game. The Hurricanes do not just have an above-average offense, but an above-average defense too. Carolina is ranked number one in the NHL at home and overall in shots allowed on goal, allowing just 26.43 shots per game at home and 28.72 overall. To go along with all of that, they love to beat up on Arizona. Winners of seven out of the last ten games versus Arizona, and holding them to an average of two and a half goals per game – Carolina seems to have this team figured out.

This game feels like last night’s Arizona game, but there are more stats and trends in our favor.  Arizona is on no rest and taking on a Carolina team who is at home on three days rest. Carolina needs this win more as they try to climb the Metro Division, and I just do not see the Coyotes playing well with no rest. Carolina has only played six overtime games this year, and since I think they beat up on Arizona – I’m going to take them to win in regulation at -107, instead of with overtime included for -177. Take Carolina to win in regulation.

(For this play to win Carolina must win the first sixty minutes. If the game goes to overtime we have a loser.)

Take Orlando Magic +3 versus Phoenix Suns ( 9:10 pm EST, Friday, January 10, 2020)
This game features two very different teams. One team loves to play fast, score, and have a bad defense. The other team is slow, does not score a lot, and plays above-average defense. The difference-maker here is that one of these teams is one of the worst teams in the NBA recently, and I’ll be taking the other side because of it.

The Phoenix Suns love to score. Overall, they rank seventh in the NBA in scoring and fourth at home. When at home, the Suns score an above-average 116.1 points, and they are making 47.04% of their shots – but it is due to their defense that I am taking Orlando. The Suns allow 115.76 ppg at home, which ranks them 27th in the league. They also rank 30th in the NBA in field goal percentage, and allowing a lot of points to a great defensive team is not a good recipe for success. Plus, Phoenix is not playing well lately. Out of the last fourteen games, the Suns have won just three – including winning just one of their last eight home games. With the Suns covering none of the last five games at home versus Orlando, I really do not like them tonight.

Orlando isn’t just above-average on defense, they are the number one ranked team in points allowed. They allow an average of just 103.42 ppg, and that is what keeps them in this game. Orlando scores just an average of 104.88 ppg on the road (which is awful), but because of the Suns having such a poor defense – they will be able to stay in this game. I think Orlando’s defense will be able to shut down the Suns, but it also helps that the Magic have a great track record versus Phoenix. The Magic have won five of the last six games versus the Suns, including covering the spread in five out of the last five games when playing on the road against Phoenix. I see Orlando continuing this trend.

With such opposite teams here, it makes for a weird matchup. We have great defense versus bad offense and bad offense versus bad defense. With Phoenix’s recent track record of not playing well, I think the stellar Orlando defense can prevail with an outright win, but I’m taking the points just to be safe. Take Orlando +3.

Take Pittsburgh Penguins versus Colorado Avalanche OVER 1.5 Goals in the First Period -148

( 9:00 pm EST, Friday 10 January 2020)

I really like this game to be a high scoring game. These two teams are part of the NHL’s upper echelon. They play fast, hard, and score early. Colorado ranks second in the NHL for going over the total in the first period, and the Penguins have been scoring early a lot lately – so let’s get into it.

Colorado has gone over the total in twenty-nine out of the forty-four games they have played so far this year. They also love to score early, as they are ranked second in scoring a goal in the first ten minutes of a game. They average 3.9 goals per game when at home, and have gone over the game total in seven out of the last ten games they have played. Pittsburgh has also been scoring a lot of goals lately. In the last ten games played, they have gone over the total in the first period in nine of them. They score an above-average amount of goals on the road, scoring 3.47 gpg, which ranks them fourth in the NHL in team scoring when on the road.

These two teams are two of the best in scoring goals in the first period. Colorado has been ranked at the top of the NHL all year for going over the total in the first period, and the Penguins have been hot lately. Take Over 1.5 goals in the First period -148.

(For this play to win more than 1.5 goals must be scored in the first period. If not we have a loser)

Cash with Flash Best Bets had a solid 4-1 day on Friday and shaking that .500 daily average made Cash with Flash Best Bets very happy yesterday. The usually dependable Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena really let us down yesterday and Cash with Flash Best Bets ended up on the wrong side of their matchup with the Colorado Avalanche.

Otherwise,it was a beautiful day and Cashwith Flash Best Bets is looking to continue this on Saturday.

Cashwith Flash Best Bets sees a full slate of games beginning at 1:00 pm ET. Here is what we havefor you today.

ChicagoBlackhawks vs CarolinaHurricanes 1:00 pm ET

Cash withFlash Best Bets: Carolina -180

Both sidesare riding three-game losing streaks and Chicago is playing its first road gameof the season. Chicago has scored 11 goals over its past five games, five goalsover their past three games and their power play unit with an 11 percentsuccess rate is near the bottom of the NHL. Corey Crawford islikely tending the twine and he has a 3.58 GAA this season. Carolina has scored11 goals over its last five and just seven over the past three but average 3.20goals per game and finally returns to PNC Arena where they boast a 3-1-0record. Petr Mrazekis likely patrolling the cage today and he has a 2.86 GAA and a 4-1-1 recordfor Carolina. The Hurricanes have a 17.7 percent success rate on the power playand Cashwith Flash Best Bets suggests playing Carolina to defeat Chicagothis afternoon.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets had a good Columbus Day and finished the day with a 2-2 record and a good start to the week. It was also a strange day with weird things happening with referees and such and Cash with the Flash Best Bets is glad we survived without losing our shirt.

New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal scored with less than 30 seconds left in the third period to tie the game and got the assist on the overtime goal at 1:13 to sink the St Louis Blues and ruin our winning NHL day.

The BuffaloSabres continued to be a winner for Cash with the Flash Best Bets and they tookcare of business with a 4-0 win over the Dallas Stars. Buffalo is 5-0-1 on theseason and has the best power-play unit in the NHL.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets is still trying to figure out if the Colorado Avalanche is forreal, but they are undefeated and slapped the Washington Capitals in their ownhouse on Monday. The Avalanche chased Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby at the 7:54 mark of the firstperiod after scoring their fourth goal and that was all she wrote.

The DetroitLions covered the +3.5 points last night and once again the NFL referees becamethe focal point and probably cost the Lions the victory. Even Lions legendBarry Sanders chimed in about the officiating;

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183946514311385088?s=20

This one from Sanders was classic.

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183938680827736064?s=20

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets nearly recommended the Lions on the money line but decidedagainst it and boy are we glad about that. At the end of the day, Cashwith the Flash Best Bets agrees with Sanders’ final thoughts on thematter.

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183947126469873665?s=20

NFL underdogs are now 54-35-2 ATS through the first six weeksof the season and road dawgs are 40-21-2 ATS. Home favorites are continuallybeing over-valued and Cash with the Flash Best Bets sees a noteworthy trendworth exploiting here.

Another trend that seems to be a real thing is the Lions havecovered in 60 percent of their games since Matt Patricia became the Head Coach.Detroit hosts Minnesota this Sundayfollowed by a week eight game at home against the New York Giants.

We have several NHL games on the sheet tonight and Cashwith the Flash Best Bets does like a couple of those games.

Minnesota Wild vs TorontoMaple Leafs

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Maple Leafs -1.5Goals +120, Over 6.5 Goals

Tampa Bay scores goals and the Minnesota Wild is coming off their first victory of the season yesterday and prior to Monday had scored only 10 goals over their first four games. Devan Dubnyk is the probable starting goaltender for Minnesota, and he’s been dubious at best this season. Toronto has confirmed Frederik Anderson will be in goal and he hasn’t been much better than Dubnyk this season.

Both sides know how to score on the power play and neither clubis very good at preventing shorthanded goals, so we expect plenty of goalsscored tonight. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Toronto Maple Leafs to defeatthe Minnesota Wild by at least two goals and play OVER 6.5 goals scoredtonight.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets also likes the following NHLgames tonight;

Carolina Hurricanes -160 over the Los AngelesKings

Winnipeg Jets -135 over the Arizona Coyotes

Cash with the Flash Best Bets suffered through a strange Thursday en route to a 1-2 betting day. It was strange for us to see the Washington Capitals blow a two-goal lead heading into the third period, regain the lead only to allow consecutive goals within one minute of each other and smash what would have been a nice, profitable day at Cash with the Flash Best Bets.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets makes that +125 suggestion on the Capitals every day of theweek and twice on Sunday.

Watching theNew York Giants defense score a touchdown after forcing New England quarterbackTom Brady to fumble the football was strange to see and Cash with the FlashBest Bets lost the under when the Patriots offense decided enough was enoughand we should have known better than to play the total of a New EnglandPatriots game.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets also suggested the St Louis Blues would defeat the Ottawa Senators by more than 1.5 goals and they did by a score of 6-4. Four third period goals by the Blues sealed the deal and kept Cash with the Flash from a winless day yesterday. If you made this play, that win was worth +130 per unit.

It’s been byfar the most difficult week we’ve had at Cashwith the Flash Best Bets and we aren’t alone. Twitter is full of bettorshaving a tough week and especially a tough Thursday with many having the underon the Thursday night football game.

The Bankroll Management piece Cash with the Flash Best Bets published this week was the real MVP and we’re going to write more posts like that. It’s sometimes better to take a step back and learn things rather than chasing bad bets hoping to get even.

New YorkIslanders vs Carolina Hurricanes

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Carolina Hurricanes-1.5 Goals +

This one begins at 7:35 pm ET and should be fairly simple. TheCarolina Hurricanes should win this matchup and worth the +155 price you willhave to pay at most Vegas shops.

The Islanders penalty kill unit hasn’t been good this season.Like 66.7 percent success rate not good and that is going to hurt them on theroad against teams like the Hurricanes and especially so when the home whistlerears its ugly head. New York will likely start ThomasGreiss in the nets and was good at his only start of the season and CorsicaHockey liked what it saw. His xSV% of 93.29 percent is outstanding and Greisswas 3-1-0 against the Hurricanes last season.

Carolina is 4-0-0 this young season and their special teams area big reason for that the Hurricanes’ early success. The Hurricanes penaltykill unit has a 78.9 percent kill rate and the power play scores on 33.3percent of its opportunities. Carolina will likely start PetrMrazek in front of the cage and he’s 2-0-0 this season. Corsica Hockeydoesn’t like the Carolina netminder much and especiallynot his negative GSAA. Mrazek was 0-1-1 last season against New Yorkand he’ll be hoping for revenge on Friday night.

Why Carolina?

The Hurricanes are playing at home and have been playing goodhockey with a pair of overtime wins. Corsica Hockey may not fancy Mrazek much, but he has a solid blue line and is playing at home where he was 12-5-1 lastseason. The Islanders score less than three goals per game this season and thisis their first away game of the season. Greiss was terrific in his first startof the season and has a career road record of 58-53-12. Those numbers are greatbut the Islanders’ inability to score goals consistently thus far this seasonwill hurt them tonight. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Carolina Hurricanes todefeat the New York Islanders by at least two goals Friday night.

AnaheimDucks vs Columbus BlueJackets

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Anaheim +125

Columbus has allowed 11 goals over their first three games of the season and it’s clear they miss Sergei Bobrovsky in the nets. Tonight’s probable starter Joonas Korpisalo has allowed seven of those goals and Corsica Hockey views Korpisalo favorably with a solid 93.32 xSV% and plus GSAA of 0.27. Korpisalo was 0-0-1 last season against Anaheim with a 3.00 goals-against average. Columbus has a strong, 33.3 percent power-play success rate and a weak 61.5 percent success rate on the penalty kill this season.

Anaheim is off to a nice, 3-1-0 start to their season despitebeing shut out on the power play but has killed off penalties at a 92.3 successrate this season. The Ducks suffered a 2-1 loss last night and that suggeststhe Ducks will sit John Gibson in favor of backup goaltender RyanMiller. Miller is making his first regular-season appearance and iscoming off an 8-7-2 season with 2.76 goals-against average and is 5-3-3 over 13career games against Columbus.

Why Anaheim?

The Ducks are coming off a tough, 2-1 loss to Pittsburgh and they’ll want to correct that and playing a struggling team like Columbus is a good place to get back on track. The Blue Jackets have struggled on the penalty kill and they struggle scoring goals and they struggle to keep pucks out of their own net. Normally we pick on backup goaltending, but I’m not worried a bit about Miller; he’s a veteran and understands his role and that is to keep an already anemic Blue Jackets off the scoreboard. Plus, his blueline is as solid as they come.  Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Anaheim Ducks to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight in Columbus.

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets had another successful day of NHL wagering, finishing 2-1and knocking downa good size underdog play when the Montreal Canadians defeated the TorontoMaple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena.

Yep, it wasa good day for Cashwith the Flash Best Bets and improved our NHL record to 7-1 thisseason.

https://twitter.com/CanadiensMTL/status/1180675535749484544?s=20

We should honestly be undefeated this season because had Cash with the Flash Best Bets known that Pekka Rinne wasn’t going to play Saturday night, we would never have recommended the Nashville Predators to win on the puck line or any line for that matter.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets usually attacks tired teamslike Toronto was and backup netminders but when the tout was written there wasn’tany mention anywhere of the possibility that Rinne wouldn’t play.

Such is life and we will take the loss that ended our seven-matchwinning streak. It’s been a good run thus far and had you been following along thiscolumn has gone 13-6 this week and had you played each and every play wesuggested at $100 bucks a pop, you’d be up about $600 dollars for what amountsto about 10 minutes’ worth of reading per day.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets has an overall record after six weeks of 86-56 and had played every pick we suggested you’d be up roughly $2600. That isn’t too shabby, is it?

Road Dawgs in the NFL are Killing it!!

We have a busy day in the NFL and I’m sure Capper Steve willhave plenty of NFL action for you. I read somewhere that underdogs are 39-24ATS this season and bettors playing each of those games at $100 per unit wouldbe up about $1200 bucks had they played the NFL dawgs.

Playing road dogs in the NFL this season seems to be the real payoff and is 29-12 ATS this season. That’s a 70 percent success rate right there and had you been on those NFL road dawgs you’d be a happy camper through the first four weeks of the NFL season.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets will likely have tennis for youbeginning Monday but for today there is a small slate of NHL games and we havesome interest in a pair of those games today.

Tampa BayLightning (+105) vs CarolinaHurricanes (-115)  5:00 pm ET

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Tampa Bay +105

Both teams are coming off Saturday contests and each team isplaying its third game in five nights and I expect both sides to be a bit gassed. This is the second-high power offense Carolina will play on successive nightsand a real test for the Hurricanes blueliners. Both teams had to travel toRaleigh and Carolina is coming off an overtime win over the WashingtonCapitals. Tampa Bay hasn’t decided who will start tonight and we have a sourcestating CurtisMcElhinney and others have AndreiVasilevskiy in the nets. Vasilevskiy suffered the loss last night toFlorida so I’m thinking McElhinney gets the start. Carolina has confirmed Petr Mrazekwill start against the Lightning.

Carolina is coming off a huge overtime road win over one of the best teams in the league and Tampa Bay is probably mad as hell they lost at home last night to the Florida Panthers. Tampa Bay won all three of their meetings last season and Mrazek was the losing goaltender in two of those losses. That is significant because both sides have nearly identical rosters and it will be that confidence that will allow Tampa Bay to win on Sunday. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing Tampa Bay to defeat Carolina Sunday afternoon.

Winnipeg Jets(+110) vs New YorkIslanders (-130)

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Islanders -130

This will be the Jets third road game in five nights and an already shaky Jets defense suits up on the road after a crazy shootout win over the New Jersey Devils. Winnipeg will likely send out Connor Hellebuyck to guard the cage and if his blueline would support him a bit, this Jets team would be pretty good. Until that changes, expect more nights like the opening night loss where Hellebuyck allowed five goals to the New York Rangers.

We don’t have any idea who is in the nets for New York; some sources have Thomas Greiss guarding the cage and others have Semyon Varlamov listed as the probable starter. Varlamov started opening night but the Islanders haven’t officially named a starter yet so my guess would be Greiss gets the call. Either way, I’m confident the Islanders can score enough goals to outscore the road weary Jets no matter who starts tonight. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Islanders to defeat the Winnipeg Jets.
