For each slate, we will go position by position and rank our favorite plays. You will see our core plays, pivots, and value plays at each position in the rankings. Lastly, you will find my Best Bets for the top bets of the week.

Quick Slate Notes:

This slate features two evenly matched games.
Of the two, the PSV against Dortmund game should be the higher scoring of the two, as the Inter against Atletico game features two sides that are strong defensively.
The Dortmund against PSV is the game I will use the most players from. Dortmund home games have had an average of 3.5 goals meanwhile PSV’s road games have averaged 4. Both sides are goal scoring threats.
The Madrid/Milan game on the other hand is going to have a lot less scoring. Madrid and Milan both allow under a goal a game
For that reason I really like playing a GK from that game.
Like yesterday’s slate, I like a CB to score a goal. Both games are looking like they will be very tight with neither of the four sides giving an inch to their opponents. So we can see set pieces play a large role especially corners.

Quick Slate Notes:

Both games on the slate should be competitive so you can have a balance lineup between the two.
Arsenal is my favorite team that I want to use for the slate. At home in their domestic league they average a 2.6 to .9 win scoring 36 in 14 league games. Then in their three UCL group stage home games they 12 goals and held three clean sheets. Porto has been ok in away games this season but do allow on average a goal per game.
From Arsenal the two I want to focus on are Saka and Ødegaard as they are the teams two best players in my opinion.
For the Barcelona v Napoli game, the two main plays are Lewandowski and Kvaratskhelia. They both need to play a big role if they want their side to advance to the next round.
I am expecting a CB to score a goal tomorrow. In games that are tight like the two we should see tomorrow there is usually an unlikely player who comes up big. I listed three (Araujo/Pepe/Saliba) who have the aerial threats in set pieces.

Quick Slate Notes:

Unlike the first slate between these four teams, I don’t think Mbappe is a must. PSG hold a 2-0 lead heading to San Sebastian and while they should score, offense isn’t going to be a priority
Bayern hosting Lazio is the game I want to focus on in DFS and in betting.
Bayern needs to score to have a chance to advance so as the minutes pass they will starting shifting their lines higher up which will leave spaces for the Lazio attack
I expect goals in that game that is why both GKs are listed but not as my core keepers. Provedel should see the most shots of the two so he’ll have plenty of save opportunities
The Sociedad/PSG game feels hard to call, PSG can easy play a slower game as they have a two goal lead and make a Sociedad team who struggles to score control the game

Quick Slate Notes:

This slate features one game with a chance to be a blow out, and another that can go either way
Only two goalies I like on the slate. The first is Raya who should be involved in a game that Arsenal will dominate. The second is ter Stegen who is going to face a good amount of shots and shouldn’t allow more than one goal in the game
Saka is by far the best forward on the slate and being priced lower than Lewandowski is surprising. Saka is heavily involved in Arsenal’s attack and he should have a lot of opportunities for points in a game I have Arsenal winning by more than one
Arsenal is the team I want to stack the most this slate, but playing them with either Taremi or Sanchez is a good way to get different as most will fade Porto
Napoli has a good chance to get a draw in this game so playing both sides is advised

Quick Slate Notes:

This slate features two evenly matched games.
Of the two, the PSV against Dortmund game should be the higher scoring of the two, as the Inter against Atletico game features two sides that are strong defensively.
Unlike last week’s slates, there isn’t a slate-breaking player like Haaland or Mbappe that you need to decide on using or not.
Veerman, Brandt, and Martinez are my favorite M/F players on the slate. All three are heavily involved in their team’s style of play. Griezmann is a core play for me, but he would be fourth for me as Atletico isn’t the best attacking side and they are taking on an Inter team that can neutralize any attacker.
Dimarco is the best pay-up spot for DraftKings on the slate, but I think the other five listed in core and pivots are also in spots to run up and down the field to help get fantasy points. On FanDuel he is a much better play since he is priced a lot lower.
Sommer and Oblak are the two best GK options. Both of them have defensive-minded gameplay, which will limit the chances of either GK getting bombarded with shots. My lean is Sommer, with Inter being at home. Benitez is my risky keeper for similar reasons as Sommer, as PSV is at home, and I do think if either side pulls off the win, it’ll be PSV and not Dortmund.

Quick Slate Notes:

For Single Entries I would play at least one of Mbappe and/or Kane. Both will carry ownership but are slate breaking players.
If Hysaj starts for Lazio he is almost a must play in all formats on DraftKings at his price. He is still a very good play on FanDuel but less of a must play.
PSG have the best potential of the four teams on the slate to go off.
All four GKs on the slate carry risk so I don’t hate using any of them. Didn’t include Remiro above only because he is the one with the best chance to finish in the negative if PSG scores on the majority of their Shots on Goal.
The Bayern against Lazio game is the one I would game star if going the game stacking route as the game should be competitive.
Lastly make sure to check discord closer to lock because there maybe plays I didn’t include because they aren’t projected to start that will end up starting.

Slate Breakdown

We have an interesting slate to kick off the Champions League Round of 16. In one game we have the road team, Man City, come in as heavy favorites against a Copenhagen side that was one of the surprises of the Group Stage. This game on paper shouldn’t be too competitive and I feel like it won’t. Copenhagen gives up 1.25 goals per game in the Denmark Superligaen which is full of opponents nowhere near the caliber of City. Meanwhile City continues to be one of the best sides in Europe and currently sit 2nd in one of the best leagues in the world. My plays above and my bet for this game down below will reflect the one sidedness this game should produce.

The other game on the slate should be more competitive. While Real Madrid has been hard to stop all season, Leipzig is one of the strongest home teams remaining in the UCL. They are allowing under a goal per game at home while scoring just under three. This will be a back and forth game that should easily go over the 2.5 goals line the game opened at.

Quick Note: I think all 4 goalies are risky this slate. Copenhagen’s GK is at risk of being scored on like crazy, Ederson will face almost no shots so if he allows even one he will be negative. Then the two in the other game should face a lot of shots but are at risk of allowing a good amount of goals.
