There are plenty of stars in tonight’s NBA action and just as much injury news to follow. Some key players have already been ruled out, while others’ confirmed availability, or lack thereof, can truly change the way your lineup looks when the slate locks. It’s a Mojito Monday edition of the Gems – let’s ride.

The availability of many crucial players tonight can shift the slate in a heartbeat. To name a few, the statuses of Chris Paul, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tyler Herro, and Jalen Green can alter lineups drastically. Moreover, OKC and Golden State are on the second halves of their back-to-backs, while Los Angeles and San Antonio are on the front end of theirs. Thus, be sure to use our proprietary NBA projections and cheat sheet to build your lineups as the news rolls in. Moreover, join the conversation in the Win Daily Discord to get the insight you need from both subscribers and staff.

Toronto Raptors @ Detroit Pistons (+4.5)

Toronto Raptors (-4.5)

With both Fred VanVleet (illness) and Pascal Siakam (adductor) out for tonight’s game, the Raptors will be popular. The main contributors, Scottie Barnes and OG Anunoby, are both going to carry the bulk of offensive touches, in addition to Gary Trent Jr. Moreover, there are pieces to this offense in all areas of the pricing grid. Thad Young and Otto Porter Jr. will likely garner interest if they start, as will Chris Boucher off the bench. Meanwhile, Malachi Flynn, Dalano Banton, and Juancho Hernangomez will round out the rotation off the bench. While preferences will depend on the DFS player, there is no way you can avoid this offense altogether on tonight’s NBA slate – it’s up to you to determine how you get exposure to it with the rest of your lineup.

Detroit Pistons (+4.5)

With Cade Cunningham (leg) out for tonight, plenty of offensive looks open up for others. Jaden Ivey has been the primary benefactor with Cunningham out of the lineup for two games this season. Ivey has seen an uptick in usage rate from 22.6% to 28% in this scenario, which leads the team. Moreover, Ivey has been far more efficient when assuming the role of the primary ball handler with Cunningham out rather than playing off the ball, seeing a 22% increase in three-point percentage. Other interest in this offense can come in the form of Saddiq Bey, Bojan Bogdanovic, or Isaiah Stewart, but do not overlook the upside of Killian Hayes and Alec Burks, should Cory Joseph (hip) be ruled out.

Atlanta Hawks @ Milwaukee Bucks (-4.5)

Atlanta Hawks (+4.5)

In what should be one of, if not the best game on the NBA slate, sparks will fly between two heavyweights in the Eastern Conference. If you are looking for a 1-2 punch with two studs at the top of the pricing grid, this is where you want to be. With Giannis likely making his return to the lineup tonight, the Bucks get the reinforcements they need to keep this one competitive.

Trae Young has more scoring upside and dominates the first unit, while Dejounte Murray excels on the glass and an elite combination of scoring and passing. Tonight, with Jrue Holiday out, the Bucks’ perimeter defense takes a hit. Thus, I’ll be turning to Trae Young as the primary ball handler. Leading the team with a 35.4% usage rate, notably 10% higher than Murray, Trae Young has a sizeable advantage over Jevon Carter. Additionally, Young not only sits 10th in the NBA in scoring, but also ranks 3rd in assists per game. Averaging 27.3/2.3/9.3 over his last four games, Young carries a low floor due to his lack of efficiency at times. However, the same scenario demonstrates an unmatched volume, in an offense he dominates, that is in the best game environment on the slate.

Milwaukee Bucks (-4.5)

While Jrue Holiday (ankle) has been ruled out for a third consecutive game, Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to make his return to the lineup. Should the perennial MVP candidate be without a minutes limit, it will be hard to ignore his upside. Carrying a 37.5% usage rate into tonight’s game, Giannis has posted a 31.8/12.2/5.3 scoring line on 54.2% shooting. While Atlanta ranking 23rd in the NBA in points allowed in the paint, Giannis is set to return in a tremendous game environment.

It wouldn’t be a Friday in the NBA without one of, if not the league’s best player being ruled out 24 hours in advance of the slate. Moreover, injuries to other stars have created new dynamics in offenses around the league, shifting the fantasy landscape. Tonight, there are many spots that are intriguing to us. It’s a Fajita Friday edition of the Gems – let’s ride.

Multiple stars have already been ruled out for tonight. Moreover, there are some question marks surrounding the availability of others that can alter the slate in a drastic way. Thus, be sure to use our proprietary NBA projections and cheat sheet to build your lineups as the news rolls in. Moreover, join the conversation in the Win Daily Discord to get the insight you need from both subscribers and staff.

Toronto Raptors @ OKC Thunder (+5.5)

Toronto Raptors (-5.5)

With Pascal Siakam (adductor) having missed the last three games, Fred VanVleet has found his touch on offense. Leading the team with a 28.1% usage rate during that span, FVV has dropped 30 or more points in two of three appearances, while also posting a 27-point effort. Lining up against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is no easy feat, but VanVleet has carried this offense to two wins in their last three games without Siakam. He’ll be popular for cash games, while also making for a safe floor, high ceiling option in tournaments on this NBA slate.

OKC Thunder (+5.5)

The only real interest I have in this offense is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. If you’re into narratives, which are surely part of the fun in NBA DFS, how about the Canadian playing his hometown team while rumors circle about his potential desire to play for them? Nonetheless, SGA has been performing at an all-star caliber this season. Leading the team with a 32.1% usage rate, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged a whopping 31.6 PPG on 53.7% shooting, good for fifth in the NBA scoring race. The matchup is far from ideal against Toronto’s stingy defense, so don’t force this one if you have more preferable spots.

Milwaukee Bucks @ San Antonio Spurs (+1)

Milwaukee Bucks (-1)

Welcome to the value of the NBA slate. Both Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) and Jrue Holiday (ankle) join Khris Middleton (wrist) on the sidelines tonight. Thus, the field will likely flock to Jevon Carter, who is fresh off a 36/4/12 game against OKC. Carter led the team in usage rate (32.4%) and field goal attempts (15), but he will be one of the most rostered players in the field. If you’re playing Carter or a combination of Grayson Allen, Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, or Marjon Beauchamp, be sure to get different elsewhere in your lineups.

San Antonio Spurs (+1)

Even with Giannis Antetokounmpo missing from the lineup, the presence of Brook Lopez on the interior still concerns me regarding the Spurs frontcourt. Thus, I have interest in going back to the well with Keldon Johnson or Devin Vassell on this NBA slate. The two have phenomenal matchups on the wing with the Bucks’ injuries. Moreover, the way Gregg Popovich has staggered their minutes makes their fantasy appeal all that much greater. Vassell comes off mid way through the first quarter and checks back in with 3-4 bench players, making him the preferred target of the two due to dominant usage at the beginning of the second and fourth quarters. Having scored 20 or more points in 6 of 8 appearances this season, Vassell ranks second on the team behind Johnson in both usage and scoring, shooting 46.2% from the field and 45.2% from deep.

Sacramento Kings @ Los Angeles Lakers (+3)

Sacramento Kings (-3)

For those that enjoy the late night hammer on NBA slates, tonight is your night. There are plenty of good games after opening tipoff, and this is certainly one of them. Make no mistake about it, I love both De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis in this spot, but I want to highlight another player as well. What Malik Monk has been doing off the bench in Sacramento has gone under-appreciated. Having scored in double digits across his last four games, Monk is heating up as one of the first players off the bench in this offense. During that span, Monk has seen an increase in minutes, logging over 27 per contest. Moreover, he has posted an 18/2.3/5.3 scoring line on 50% shooting, including 44% from behind the arc. Facing his former team tonight, Monk will have the green light to shoot a ton.

Los Angeles Lakers (+3)

With LeBron James slated to miss the next two games for the Lakers, things will get even more interesting in Los Angeles. Since moving to the bench, Russell Westbrook has looked rejuvenated. During that stretch, he is second on the team in usage rate behind LeBron, while posting an 18.6/5.1/7.1 scoring line on 49.5% shooting, including a much-improved 42.9% from deep. With both of these teams sitting inside the top 10 in the NBA in pace, including the Lakers leading the league, this one will play fast and in transition. Not only is that the type of game environment where Westbrook has carved out a Hall of Fame career, but he also has a great matchup versus a Kings defense that ranks 22nd versus primary ball handlers.

  • Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors (-2)

Numerous teams take the floor tonight with concerns to be addressed. Injuries are plentiful to begin the NBA season, shifting slates at the blink of an eye. Tonight, some back-to-backs are at the forefront of the player pool, while two elite game environments make for excellent pivots in tournaments. It’s a Mojito Monday edition of the Gems – let’s ride.

On a large NBA slate, injury report updates are likely to be lengthly and frequent throughout the day. Thus, be sure to use our proprietary NBA projections and cheat sheet to build your lineups as the news rolls in. Moreover, join the conversation in the Win Daily Discord to get the insight you need from both subscribers and staff.

Houston Rockets @ Orlando Magic (-4.5)

Houston Rockets (+4.5)

The rebuilding Rockets continue to be a bargain on NBA slates. Despite the offense running through their backcourt tandem, my priority here is Alperen Sengun. Averaging over 1.3 DK points per minute, Sengun is amongst the most productive players on a per minute basis. Facing an Orlando Magic frontcourt that allows nearly 50 points in the paint per game, Sengun is far and away one of the best targets in the mid range of the pricing grid.

Orlando Magic (-4.5)

With Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, Gary Harris, Jonathan Isaac and Mo Wagner all on the shelf, this is one of the thinnest rotations in the NBA. Impressive is his rookie campaign thus far, Paolo Banchero leads his team with a 29.6% usage rate while posting a 22.9/8.5/3.6 scoring line on 45.8% shooting. However, his point/dollar upside is limited on such a large slate. Thus, I’ll be turning to the wings once again in Franz Wagner and/or Bol Bol. The two carry usage rates of 24.2% and 15.4% in the last five games, respectively. In that stretch, since Bol Bol has entered the starting lineup, the two have combined for 32.2 points per game. Against a Rockets team that ranks 28th in the league versus wings, the two have phenomenal matchups in an elite game environment.

Washington Wizards @ Charlotte Hornets (-3)

Washington Wizards (+3)

With the Wizards on the second half of a back-to-back, their injury report can dictate the NBA slate. Already without Bradley Beal, who is in healthy and safety protocols, the Wizards offense have one of, if not the best situation on the slate. Now, with Beal likely out for a second straight game, usage gets more condensed and there are two primary benefactors. The duo of Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma are both in advantageous situations in their respective matchups. The former lines up on Mason Plumlee, who carries a defensive rating of 110.4, while the Hornets frontcourt collectively ranks 29th in the league versus opposing big men. Meanwhile, the latter has a favorable matchup of his own; Kelly Oubre Jr. shifts to the ‘3’ with Terry Rozier back in the lineup, while having a defensive rating of 111.2 on the season.

Charlotte Hornets (-3)

Making his return to the lineup last game after a lengthly absence, Terry Rozier picked up right where he left off. Despite the losing effort against Brooklyn, Rozier led the team in usage, minutes played, scoring, and field goal attempts. Taking 24 shots on the night, Rozier took a whopping 14 from behind the arc, shooting 37.5% from the field and 42.9% from deep. With the Wizards ranking last in the NBA in opponent three-point field goal percentage allowed, Rozier will have the green light to take as many shots as it takes to get the win and makes for an excellent pivot to a guard mentioned below.

Toronto Raptors @ Chicago Bulls (-3.5)

Toronto Raptors (+3.5)

The reason the two games above highlighted targets in the mid range of the player pool is because the field will flock in this direction. With Pascal Siakam (groin) is slated to miss the next two weeks, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and Scottie Barnes will be popular on every NBA slate featuring the Raptors. Tonight, Toronto takes on Chicago on the second half of a back-to-back, where the trio will be tasked with heavy minutes once again. There is simply no need for an explanation as to why all three are in play, but they will be some of the most rostered players in the field. Moreover, Coach Nick Nurse refuses to go deep into his rotation, whether it’s a regular season game in November or Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Thus, add Christian Koloko to the players whom will garner the interest of the field.

Chicago Bulls (-3.5)

With Zach Lavine (knee) missing last night’s game, his status for tonight will dictate interest in the Bulls roster. Truth be told, while both Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan will see increased looks on offense should Lavine sit once again, I don’t think I’ll get there on such a large NBA slate. Thus, should Lavine miss a second straight game, I’ll turn to the Chicago rotation pieces in Caruso, Green, Williams, and Dragic. Again, this is only if not only Lavine is out, but Coby White (quad) as well. Check Discord for updates.

The first weeks of the NBA season have been wildly entertaining. While some teams are struggling in the early stages, others are quickly separating themselves from the pack. Tonight, the Milwaukee Bucks put their perfect record on the line, while others look to keep pace in the East. The Western Conference teams have a ton of pending injury news, but shape up to be some of the best scenarios on the slate. It’s a Mojito Monday edition of the Gems – let’s ride.

Despite the NBA season only being a few weeks old, injury/illness news has been altering slates. In order to keep up, be sure to use our proprietary NBA projections and cheat sheet to build your lineups. Moreover, join the conversation in the Win Daily Discord to get the insight you need from both subscribers and staff.

Sacramento Kings @ Charlotte Hornets (+1)

Sacramento Kings (-1)

No longer one of the winless teams in the NBA, the Kings look to string some momentum together against a thin rotation. With LaMelo Ball out and Terry Rozier doubtful, De’Aaron Fox will see Dennis Smith Jr. on the flipside of his matchup. Sitting 20th in the league against primary ball handlers, the Hornets will look to slow Fox down, which is a daunting task. The former Kentucky Wildcat is having a tremendous season to the tune of a 27.8/7.2/5.6 scoring line on 55% shooting. Scoring 26 or more in four of five games this season, with the outlier coming against Miami’s stingy defense, Fox is in a prime spot in an elite game environment.

Charlotte Hornets (+1)

Somehow sitting at 3-3, the Hornets are doing the best they can without LaMelo Ball to start the season. With wins against the Hawks and Warriors, Charlotte can go with the best of them. With the Kings sitting 26th in the NBA in defensive rating, their weakest point comes on the wing. Surprisingly, Harrison Barnes carries a net defensive rating of 119.1 into tonight’s game, which bodes well for Kelly Oubre Jr. Leading the Hornets in usage rate over the last four games in Rozier’s absence, Oubre Jr. has posted a 17.8/6/1.5 scoring line on a mere 37.5% shooting during that span. Taking 16 or more attempts in all four games, Oubre Jr. carries a low floor, but finds himself in a situation to have a great outing should his shot be dropping.

Indiana Pacers @ Brooklyn Nets (-8)

Indiana Pacers (+8)

We talked about this game over the weekend in Discord and I’m going right back to the well. The return of Myles Turner to the lineup shifts things a bit, but Haliburton, Mathurin, and Smith remain firmly in play alongside the big man. However, I want to emphasize just how good Buddy Hield has been this season. Having a 21.5% usage rate as a spot-up shooter is impressive as is, but Hield is doing so much more than prior years on the offensive side of the ball. His 5.7 rebounds per game in the small sample size is a career high, while his shooting has been as good as ever. Sitting third in the NBA with 4.1 three pointers made per game, Hield has shot a ridiculous 44.6% from behind the arc on over nine attempts per contest.

Brooklyn Nets (-8)

It will be a recurring theme this NBA season when discussing the Nets, but there’s a handful of players that interest me on this offense, if that. Both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant dominate many of the looks on the offensive side of the ball, making it hard to look elsewhere. I’m certainly not forcing any exposure to this Nets team, but if you’re stacking this one, I’ll side with Durant. While he got off to a slow start last game, KD poured in 22 of his team’s 54 points in the second half. With the easiest matchup on the Nets, KD makes for an intriguing tournament play once again.

Atlanta Hawks @ Toronto Raptors (-3.5)

Atlanta Hawks (+3.5)

In order to beat Toronto’s defense, you need to be quicker than them both with the ball and off it. Players need to be in movement and the ball needs to be moved around the perimeter to the wings and corners. The Raptors excel at closing out on shooters and have great on-ball defense, making it tough for primary ball handlers to succeed. Rather, it’s the spot-up shooters and primary off-ball options who flourish in this matchup. Cue Dejounte Murray, who provides us with all around ability in this matchup. While his shooting is far from that of Trae Young, the former’s ability to rebound and dish the rock gives him a tremendous ceiling in any matchup.

Toronto Raptors (-3.5)

If you haven’t had a chance to watch Raptors basketball in recent years or this NBA season, please do. Not only are they fun to watch, but Toronto is one of the most feared teams on both sides of the basketball with their polarizing length at every position. Tonight, Pascal Siakam is the one I want to highlight. Leading the team with a 29.8% usage rate, Siakam has quietly posted a phenomenal 25.3/9.2/7.7 scoring line on 48.7% shooting. In a matchup versus the Hawks, Siakam and this Raptors offense will be a problem for their opposition’s defense in the transition game and on the inside. Seeing as though Clint Capela has yet to log over 30 minutes this season, Capela will likely be forced off the court early on in favor of Onyeka Okongwu, who has a defensive rating of 111.7 on the season, giving Siakam a favorable situation.

Over/Under Scoring

Damian Lillard: Third in the league in scoring, Lillard is averaging 30 points per game on 48% shooting from the field.

Kyrie Irving: He sits right about Lillard, averaging 31.7 points per game, second only to Houston’s James Harden, who is averaging 36.5 points per game.

Verdict: Lillard goes under, finishing with around 20-22 points. Irving could clear the over by halftime, as he remains the only reliable scoring option the Nets have.

Cash with Flash Best Bets had a solid 4-1 day on Friday and shaking that .500 daily average made Cash with Flash Best Bets very happy yesterday. The usually dependable Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena really let us down yesterday and Cash with Flash Best Bets ended up on the wrong side of their matchup with the Colorado Avalanche.

Otherwise,it was a beautiful day and Cashwith Flash Best Bets is looking to continue this on Saturday.

Toronto at Boston, 7:00 PM Eastern

SF Pascal Siakam ($8,900, FanDuel) was money well spent Opening Night, scoring 62.09 FanDuel points. PG Kyle Lowry ($7,600, FD) remains dependable and a good option considering the higher-salaried PGs available. SF OG Anunoby ($4,700, FD) has intriguing value, especially if this game develops into a faster pace. Of course, this a Fred VanVleet ($6,600, FD) world, especially after he blew up with 54.5 FanDuel points in the win over the Pelicans.

Celtics PG Kemba Walker ($8,200, FD) scored just 14.39 FP on Wednesday. He’s much better than that but he may need a few games to adjust to the Boston system. Add with caution. PF Jayson Tatum ($7,600, FD) is the Celt to grab as comes off 38 FP against the Sixers on Wednesday. SF Gordon Hayward ($6,800, FD) had 30 FP in the opener. There’s more ceiling there now that he’s a year further from his devastating leg injury.

Minnesota at Charlotte, 7:00 PM Eastern

You will pay for C Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,800, DraftKings) and love. KAT opened the season with 50.4 Fantasy points and has a chance to be tonight’s high scorer going agains the Hornets’ thin front court. SG/SF Andrew Wiggins ($6,000, DK) pulled down eight rebounds on Wednesday to bolster his 31.1 FP night. Um, I don’t see Wiggins repeating that act on the glass. PG Jeff Teague ($5,600, DK) is a nice alternative that will be overshadowed by some of the bigger-named at point. SF/PF Robert Covington ($5,600, DK) scored 34 FP without hitting a three or recording an assist, two things he tends to do well. If you don’t go Towns, look to Covington for consideration.

Let’s not get too giddy on Hornets PF P.J. Washington ($6,400, DK), who scored 27 points and knocked down seven threes in Wednesday win over the Bulls. He’s going to be overused tonight, and I’d suggest not following the crowd. I will buy into SF/PF Miles Bridges ($5,900, DK), who scored 36.3 FanDuel points on Wednesday and should be the most consistent Fantasy option as the Hornets find their way. PG Terry Rozier ($6,600, DK) opened with just 15.3 FanDuel points. He’s best left on the NBA DFS bench.

New York at Brooklyn, 7:30 PM Eastern

PF Julius Randle ($8,800, FanDuel) took the mantle and delivered 55.2 FanDuel points in the loss to the Spurs on Wednesday. His chances of a repeat hinges on whether C Mitchell Robinson ($7,000, FD) is a go (ankle). SF Marcus Morris ($5,500, FD) pulled a 40.29 FDP performance, and with the Knicks still trying to find a lead dog offensively, Morris will have every chance to duplicate the effort. PG Elfrid Payton ($5,700, FD) scored 40.1 FDP on Wednesday and has the track record to suggest he can do so consistently if the minutes are afforded to him. If Robinson can’t go, PF Bobby Portis ($5,200) is always an intriguing option.

Nets PG Kyrie Irving ($9,700, FD) had an insane 73.09 FDP in Wednesday’s opener. He’s worthy of starting since the Nets don’t have much to offer beyond him offensively and he’ll be involved in scoring whether he’s scoring the ball or assisting. PF Jarrett Allen ($6,800, FD) had five blocks in the opener. If you don’t want Irving but want to use a Nets player, turn to SF Taurean Prince ($5,600, FD), who tallied 40.1 FDP on Wednesday. He had a strong preseason and is making a strong impression to be the second scoring option behind Irving.

Washington at Oklahoma City, 8:00 PM Eastern

SG Bradley Beal had a so-so 29.3 Fantasy points in the loss at the Mavericks on Wednesday. Beal ($8,600, DraftKings) is way better than that and should bounce back well tonight. C Thomas Bryant ($6,600, DK) tallied 24.3 DKP on Wednesday and is an under the radar contributor at the position. PG Isaiah Thomas ($4,000, DK) will need more than 23 minutes to justify adding him on the roster. Beyond those three, it’s best to skate away from the Wizards.

Regardless of uniform and location, PG Chris Paul ($7,200, DK) is going to deliver, as he put up 51.1 DKP on Wednesday. As long as he’s in OKC, Paul is going to be the top NBA DFS option on the Thunder. Danilo Gallinari ($7,100, DK) can be a 42 DKP per night scorer in this system. Of course, it’s about his health. I’d consider him tonight in what should be a fast-paced game. Foul trouble slowed down Steven Adams ($6,800, DK) in Wednesday’s opener. He still put up 24 DKP but this isn’t the matchup to run with him. PF/C Mike Muscala ($3,200, DK) surprised with 27.3 DKP. I’d wait and see if his minutes and usage are legit. If so, Muscala is going to be a good punt option.

Chicago at Memphis, 8:00 PM Eastern

The 60.4 FDP that Lauri Markkanen ($8,200, FanDuel) scored on Wednesday was a reminder of what he can do when healthy and given a high usage rate. I’d like him a little more if they were facing a more fast-paced team than the Grizzlies. SG Zach LaVine ($8,000, FD) racked up 37.7 FDP and is a good option if you’re looking for a 2 that can stat stuff. PG Kris Dunn ($5,200, FD) appears to be the option at the 1 for right now, a decision I can roll with. I think C Wendell Carter ($6,500, FD) steps up to deliver more than the 24.79 FDP he scored on Wednesday. Colby White ($4,700, FD) came out of nowhere with 30.7 FDP on Wednesday, but I still think Dunn’s the better option at PG.

SF Josh Jackson ($3,500, FD) is an interesting punt play. He scored 23.01 FDP on Wednesday, and there is room available for him to produce more. PF Jaren Jackson ($7,400, FD) had a team-best 26.6 FDP in the opener, and the Grizzlies will do all they can to build this team around him. I won’t be shocked if Jackson put up 40-45 FP tonight. Rookie PG Ja Morant ($7,100, FD) had 24.79 FDP in his debut, but six turnovers are both expected and a turn-off.

Dallas at New Orleans, 8:00 PM Eastern

SG Luka Doncic ($9,200, DraftKings) is my SG of the night. He opened the season with 67 DKP in Wednesday’s win over the Wizards and pairs well with PF/C Kristaps Porzingis ($7,600, DK), who scored 23 points in 29 minutes in his Dallas debut. PG Delon Wright ($4,800, DK) is a strong value play that comes off a 53.8 DKP night on Wednesday. The Mavs want to run, and Wright — who had 11 assists in the opener — is a good fit for their plans.

PG/SG Jrue Holiday ($8,500, DK) had just 26.8 DKP in the opening loss to the Raptors. Against lesser competition, Holiday should see his numbers get close to the 43.6 FP he averaged last season. SF/PF Brandon Ingram ($7,100, DK) tallied 34.8 DKP on Tuesday and looks to be the stat stuffer I envisioned he’d become in New Orleans. On the other hand, PF/C Derrick Favors ($5,700, DK) underachieved on Tuesday, but, like Holiday, sounds like a bounce back candidate against a suspect Mavs defense. Be encouraged to consider PG Lonzo Ball ($6,000, DK), who put up 31.8 DKP on Tuesday. Now that he’s out of the clown show in LA, Ball may finally start living up to the hype.

Phoenix at Denver, 9:00 PM Eastern

There’s a ton of Fantasy points waiting to be picked up in the wake of Suns C Deandre Ayton’s 25-game suspension for violating the league’s drug policy. This is an opportunity for SF Kelly Oubre ($6,400, FanDuel) to really step his game up after opening with 40.29 FDP on Wednesday. SG Devin Booker ($8,800, FD) will also see a hike in his Fantasy scoring, but I feel Dario Saric ($4,600, FD) or SF Mikal Bridges ($4,200, FD) can see significant improvement. For tonight, though, I’d play Booker but love Oubre due to the value and upside. PG Ricky Rubio ($7,000, FD) is a solid play in what should be a high-scoring affair.

Even with foul trouble, Nikola Jokic ($10,800, FD) was productive, although the 34.59 FDP he scored on Wednesday felt somewhat disappointing. Without Ayton to contend with, I’d strongly consider anchoring an NBA DFS lineup tonight around him. PG Jamaal Murray ($7,100, FD) also gives the impression of a better evening even though he put up 30 FDP on Wednesday. SF Will Barton ($5,400, FD) is a good play and a must if going with a Nuggets stack. Like Jokic, PF Paul Millsap ($6,300, FD) should thrive inside without the presence of Ayton looming in the interior. If you’re feeling like this could be a Denver blowout, SG Torrey Craig ($3,800, FD) is a fun punt in a Denver stack.

Portland at Sacramento, 10:00 PM Eastern

PG Damian Lillard ($8,800, DraftKings) shook off a slow start and finished with 52.5 DKP in Wednesday’s loss to the Nuggets. He’ll be a popular choice at the point along with Kyrie Irving. SG C.J. McCollum ($6,200, DK) knocked down five treys on his way to 47.5 DKP. Though expensive, stacking this backcourt should net solid returns tonight. C Hassan Whiteside ($7,200, DK) had nine boards and four blocks to anchor the 37.8 FDP he amassed in his Portland debut. For now, those are the only three Trail Blazers worth considering.

The Kings lost SF/PF Marvin Bagley III with a fractured thumb for the next 4-6 weeks, leaving a void in the lineup. PG D’Aaron Fox struggled in the opening loss to the Suns, yet Fox ($7,900, DK) is worth a second look, especially now that his usage rate will go up with Bagley sidelined. Buddy Hield ($6,700, DK) is questionable with an ankle injury. Richaun Holmes ($3,400, DK) might be a player who benefits from the absence of Bagley. He played 17 minutes in the opener and grabbed five rebounds, but also drew three fouls and score just one point. Watch how the rotation without Bagley looks tonight to get a feel for how to approach the Kings.

Utah at LA Lakers, 10:30 PM Eastern

SG Donovan Mitchell ($8,500, FanDuel) carried the Fantasy load for the Jazz on Wednesday, putting up 52.5 FDP in the win over the Thunder. C Rudy Gobert ($8,800, FD) grossly disappointed his DFS users with a mere 22.79 FDP. Look for a much better outing tonight, as it’s not often the Stifle Tower delivers consecutive slag games. There’s plenty of room for improvement from PG Michael Conley ($7,300, FD), who had just 13.5 FDP in his Jazz debut. PG Emmanuel Mudiay ($3,700, FD) racked up 24.89 FDP off the bench but won’t offer enough to merit serious consideration.

Raise your hand if you had SF Danny Green ($4,800, FD) outscoring LeBron James? The answer is none of you. Stay away from him since that was more fluke than reality. James ($11,200, FD) scored 43 FDP, two less than Green. There’s a 50-60 FDP night coming this evening. PF Anthony Davis ($12,000) scored 49.29 FDP in his Lakers debut. Creatives can find ways to pair Davis and James yet will have to be deadly accurate on filling the rest of the roster with bargain-level talent surrounding them.

Scoring Champ

Devin Booker — He scored 22 in the opening win over the Kings but will have the chance at more touches with C Deandre Ayton suspended.

Nikola Jokic — Jokic put up 20 during Wednesday’s win over the Trail Blazers. He’s a good bet but the Nuggets have 5-6 players capable of leading the team in scoring on a given night.

Kelly Oubre — With Ayton suspended, Oubre has the best chance to see his scoring numbers improve.

Verdict — A somewhat easy call here by rolling with Booker.

San Jose is16-20 ATS over its last two seasons vs non-conference opponents. Toronto is 3-1ATS and 3-1 vs San Jose over the past two seasons. Over their last two seasons, two of those four games have gone OVER the total.

Cashwith Flash Best Bets likes the more rested team and would suggest playing the Leafs todefeat the Sharks tonight. We also suggest playing the OVER in thisgame as these two teams have combined to score 34 goals and have allowed 30goals over their past five games.

New Orleans Pelicans at Toronto Raptors

O/U: 231.5 (Raptors -7)

NBA DFS: New Orleans Pelicans

The trade of Anthony Davis to the Lakers brought starters PG Lonzo Ball and SF/PF Brandon Ingram, while a deal with the Jazz brought in PF/C Derrick Favors. The Pels signed SG/SF J.J. Redick to go along with PG/SG Jrue Holiday, the only holdover from the 2018-19 lineup. Oh, yeah: Zion Williamson. Not to worry about him, as the first overall pick of this June’s draft will miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his torn right lateral meniscus.

NBA DFS: Toronto Raptors

Once SF Kawhi Leonard made the decision for a warm reception in L.A., the World Champions began to retool. C Marc Gasol picked up his player option, while young wings Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Stanley Johnson were signed to add depth. PG Kyle Lowry inked a two-year extension, but the future of the franchise was clearly decided last week when PF/C Pascal Siakam signed a four-year, $130 extension, clearly making him the focal point of the team. Veteran PF/C Serge Ibaka is more of a role player at this stage. Siakam isn’t the only youngster the Raptors are counting on, as PG/SG Fred VanVleet and SF/PF OG Anunoby are expected to take bigger roles.

NBA DFS: DraftKings Approach

NBA DFS Captain:

Preferred (in order of preference): Fred VanVleet ($8,700), Pascal Siakam ($14,700), Kyle Lowry ($13,200), Jrue Holiday ($15,600).

NBA DFS Utility:

(Whoever you do not use in Captain is also great in utility): Derrick Favors ($11,400)Brandon Ingram ($12,300), Marc Gasol ($10,800), JJ Redick ($9.300), Lonzo Ball ($10,500), Norman Powell ($6,900), Serge Ibaka ($10,200) Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($4,800).

NBA DFS: FanDuel Approach

NBA DFS MVP:

Pascal Siakam (cash) ($8,000), Jrue Holiday ($8,700), Fred VanVleet ($5,600), Kyle Lowry ($7,600)

Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers

O/U: 226 (Lakers -2.5)

NBA DFS: Los Angeles Lakers

Eventually, this will be PF Anthony Davis’ team, but SF/soon to be listed as PG LeBron James remains the Alpha Dog on this roster. Speaking of dogs, the rest of the Lakers lineup has plenty of woof-woof. Defensive-minded Avery Bradley is at the two while long-range sniper Danny Green floats between SG/SF. C JaVale McGee completes the lineup but will likely cede critical minutes Dwight Howard, who can still offer rebounds and scoring despite no longer being the shot-blocking presence he once was. The bench gets very, very thin after PG Rajon Rondo.

NBA DFS: Los Angeles Clippers

Predicted to end the Warriors’ iron grip on the Western Conference, the Clippers will be short-handed until SF Paul George debuts in mid-to-late November. For now, SF Kawhi Leonard will stuff stat sheets with his all-around game. There’s considerable firepower off the bench, with 6th Man of the Year SG Lou Williams teaming up with high-volume C Montrezl Harrell and versatile SF Maurice Harkless. PG Patrick Beverley is a defensive bulldog. Promising PG/SG Landry Shamet can score in spurts. C Ivica Zubac has shown flashes of being an underrated presence, and PF JaMychal Green brings energy and the ability to clean the glass.

NBA DFS: DraftKings Approach

NBA DFS Captain:

Preferred (in order of preference): LeBron James ($15,300), Anthony Davis ($16,200), Kawhi Leonard ($13,200), Lou Williams ($11,700).

NBA DFS Utility:

(Whoever you do not use in Captain is also great in utility): Montrezl Harrell ($10,200)Danny Green ($9,300), Patrick Beverley ($8,300), Landry Shamet ($6.300), Ivica Zubac ($7,200), JaVale McGee ($7,500), Dwight Howard ($6,900) Rajon Rondo ($8,700).

NBA DFS: FanDuel Approach

NBA DFS MVP:

LeBron James (cash) ($15,500), Anthony Davis ($17,000), Kawhi Leonard ($14,500), Lou Williams ($11,000)
