Cash withthe Flash Best Bets had a funny Wednesday. South Alabama failed to cover thespread and I suppose that shouldn’t be a surprise that Troy buried them andproved why they were favored by so many. At least we got the under and Cashwith the Flash Best Bets finished 1-1 with the NCAA games yesterday.

Then there were the hockey games and that didn’t go that well for Cash with the Flash best bets.

What sunk Cash with the Flash Best Bets was the Colorado Avalanche losing in overtime. If you’re keeping score, it was Cash with the Flash Best Bets sixth NHL overtime loss of the year and we’re less than three weeks in.

I guess that’s why they call it gambling, right?

Still, a 2-3day isn’t appealing to you and it certainly isn’t appealing to us at Win DailySports or Cashwith the Flash Best Bets and we’re going to keep plugging away and giveyou as much information as we possibly can in order for you to make an informedchoice and hopefully Cash with the Flash!

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets is going back to the well and visiting the National HockeyLeague tonight for our wagering action.

New YorkRangers (+105)vs NewJersey Devils (-125)

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: New York Rangers +105

The Rangershaven’t played in five days and will have had extra time to practice and maybefigure out how they could have lost a home matinee game to the Edmonton Oilerslast Saturday. The Rangers will start Alexandar Georgiev (1-0-0,1.00) between the pipes and he’s coming off a solid victory over the OttawaSenators in Ottawa.

New Jerseyis winless in four tries with two overtime losses and this team is young andfast. They also have a minus 16 goal differential this season and that isn’t agood thing. CorySchneider is tending the twine and he’s had a difficult time due to hisblueline and the youthful mistakes his young teammates have made this season.

Why theRangers?

Rest mattersmore than anything else in the NHL and the Rangers might be a bit rusty out ofthe gate, but they will settle down and the Rangers vets like Mika Zibanejad will takethis thing over. The Devils have yet to score a power-play goal, their penaltykill unit has a 57 percent success rate and New Jersey has been shut out twicein four games. Your mileage may vary but Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Rangers to defeat theDevils in tonight’s contest.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets likes the following NHL games tonight.

Tampa BayLightning +100 over Boston Bruins -120

New YorkIslanders +110 over Winnipeg Jets -130

MontrealCanadians -160 over Minnesota Wild +140

10/17 NHL DFS Centers

Mika Zibanejad (FD $7,600 | DK $7,800) – He will highlight the top line of the Hudson River Rivalry that is set to take place tonight. Unfortunately for the Devils, they have yet to win a game this season. They are giving up the second-highest goals allowed per game in the league at 4.5 goals allowed, keeping them steadily in the last place. In just three games, Zibanejad has scored eight points (four goals, four assists), giving him the highest points per game this season by far.

Paul Stastny (FD $5,400 | DK $6,200) – Member of the biggest line lock of the night, Stastny and Company will be going up against the lowly Sens, who are settling at third-last in the league with one win and four losses to start the season. With the game in Vegas, Ottawa will need a prayer and that might not even do it. Stastny’s price has remained relatively cheap despite being on the highest producing line on his team and bagging six points in his last three games (three goals, three assists).
Honorable Mention: Sean Couturier

10/17 NHL DFS Wingers

JT Miller (FD $5,600 | DK $4,700) – Miller has been on fire to start the season and has proven to be one of the Canucks’ best offseason pickups. Miller leads the team in scoring given that he scored six points in his last three games (three goals, three assists). Miller has been averaging around 18 minutes of ice-time per game but given his recent performances, it wouldn’t be a surprise if that increased. Not to mention he appears on the Canucks deadly top power-play unit. Finally, Miller will be playing against the Blues, who have had a rather mediocre start to the season and have coughed up a fair amount of goals, 3.33 per game to be exact. I wouldn’t be surprised if Miller got on the end of one of them.

David Pastrnak (FD $8,500 | DK $7,500) – Pastrnak is simply an elite winger, if you’re looking for a low-owned play with a safe floor Pastrnak is your guy, as he leads the Bruins with 10 points in six games, followed by his linemates Marchand and Bergeron. Last game, Pastrnak lit up one of the league’s best in John Gibson for four goals en route to his team’s 4-2 win over the Ducks last Monday.
HM: Nick Schmaltz

10/17 NHL DFS Defensemen

Alexander Edler (FD $5,800 | DK $6,300) – Vancouver’s lead power powerplay defenseman has registered four points in his last three games and has averaged a whopping 25 minutes of average ice-time throughout the season. It is clear coach Travis Green has faith in the veteran Swede and given the leakage, the Blues have been prone to thus far this season, Edler holds value as a stack option alongside the Canucks’ top line (Miller, Pettersson, Boeser)

Jacob Trouba (FD $5,800 | DK $6,000) – Much like his teammate, Zibanejad Trouba hit the ground running in his first three games of the season with a goal and three assists while averaging 24 minutes of ice-time per game. Trouba carries a price tag on the higher end but works well in a Rangers stack alongside Buchnevich, Panarin and Zibanejad, given that they all play together on the Rangers top power play unit.
HM: Shea Theodore, Ryan Ellis

10/17 NHL DFS Goalies

Pekka Rinne (FD $8,700 | DK $8,000) – Rinne is a perfect 4-0-0 to start the season and will have one of the best offensive teams in front of him with a CF% of 51.48. The Preds also lead the league in goals and have the sixth-highest shots per game total in the league. Rinne will be pricey but if you’re looking for a safe play between the pipes Rinne is the way to go.

Carter Hutton (FD $8,500 | DK $7,800) – Hutton has been as good as Rinne if not better. He too holds a perfect 4-0-0 record and holds an extremely low 1.74 GAA. The Kings shoot a lot but don’t turn the offensive production into goals nearly enough, as they are currently hovering around the middle of the league in goals per game while posting the second-most shots on goal per game in the league. Furthermore, the Kings have started the season on the back foot with a 2-4-0 record and look to be starting Jonathan Quick, who holds an abysmal stat line at 0-3-0, a GAA of 6.44 and a Save Percentage below .800.
HM: Alexander Georgiev

10/17 NHL DFS STACKS & CASH PLAY OF THE NIGHT

Vegas Golden Knights 2 – This line should be an auto-lock tonight. Stat-wise this line is far and away the most intriguing option and with that will come the super high ownership, especially in cash. This is the good kind of chalk and given the price of some of their player such as Stastny and Theodore, they are surprisingly stackable with other strong options tonight.
HM
New York Rangers 1 (Zibanejad, Panarin, Trouba), Buffalo Sabres 1 (Reinhart, Eichel, Olofsson)

10/17 NHL DFS Game Stacks

Vancouver vs St. Louis – Both of these teams are very offensive-minded, with both teams averaging over three goals a game. The optimal game stack would be Vancouver’s top line alongside St. Louis’ second line, and alternatively their first line. Statistically, these two teams are very evenly matched and this game could turn into a shootout.

10/17 NHL DFS Punts
Calle Jarnkrok (FD $3,600 | DK $3,500) Jarnkrok will be playing on Nashville’s top line and although Kuemper has had his moments to start the season. The Preds are leading the league in goals with 4.67 per game, one of which came from Jarnkrok last game. Over his past three games, Jarnkrok has had four assists and has steadily been seeing an increase in ice-time each and every game. If Forsberg is held out of tonight’s contest the winger will be set to see even more ice time. The fact that he plays on the Preds’ top power play unit only adds to his value.

Quinn Hughes (FD $4,000 | DK $3,700) Quinn has had his moments this season but has largely been overshadowed by the success of his defensive teammate Alexander Edler. In a pinch, Hughes still provides excellent value as he has registered three points in his first five games while averaging 20 minutes of ice time per night and playing on the Canucks second power-play unit. Hughes is the future of Vancouver’s defensive core and will definitely be in the mix when considering low owned Canuck plays tonight. Hughes pairs well alongside Tanner Pearson.
HM: Sean Walker

Cash with the Best Bets kept the fires burning yesterday and Tuesday was a good day for us with our NHL picks. The Maple Leafs on the puck line absorbed the loss Cash with the Flash Best Bets had in the total in that game. The Hurricanes winning helped us finish 2-2 for the day and Cash with the Flash Best Bets snuck out with a slight profit.

The Winnipeg Jets blue line is awful and banged up big time. At one point last night the Jets were down to five defensemen and that makes an already shaky blueline even worse.

If you have questions regarding Bankroll Management, Cashwith the Flash Best Bets has you covered HERE.

SouthAlabama Jaguars vs TroyTrojans

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: South Alabama -15,Under 53 Points

Everyone and their mother is betting on Troy to cover in agame that opened at 14.5 points and can be had at most Vegas shops at 15 pointsand online books are offering the same 15 points. Troy is the known name and withtonight’s game being nationally televised, plenty of money will likely bewagered on Troy.

This is the eighthmeeting between the two schools with Troy holding a 4-3 edge but haslost three of its last five meetings to the Jaguars. Last season the two sidescombined for 38 points and that was the most total points scored in one game overtheir previous seven games.

Both defenses are top 100, and both allow just over 400 yardsof total offense. Troy scores 32.5 points on average per game and South Alabamascores an average of 16.8 points per game this season.

Since 2005, road teams have covered the spread 59 percent of the time in Sun Belt Conference play. The 301-209 ATS record for road teams is a real trend and I’m not sure the public is aware of this and has wagered the daylights out of Troy tonight.

South Alabama also has the benefit of two extra days of restand that could play a HUGE factor tonight.

Why South Alabama?

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: South Alabama +15,UNDER 55 Points

I think Troy wins this game. They have a very good offense and throw the football very well and South Alabama allows 29.3 points per game. Cash with the Flash Best Bets expects the Trojans to win this game, but Troy allows 32.5 points per game and Cash with the Flash Best Bets did the math and believes South Alabama will likely score 21 points and will likely allow around 33 points to Troy. That’s 54 points and Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests laying the 15 points and playing South Alabama to cover the spread AND suggests playing UNDER 55 points tonight

NHL Action for Wednesday Night

There are six games on the NHL slate for today and Cash withthe Flash Best Bets does like a couple of games on tonight’s sheet.

Colorado Avalanche +100 over the PittsburghPenguins

Dallas Stars +100 over the Columbus Blue Jackets

Washington Capitals -115 over the Toronto MapleLeafs

Hope everyone had a good DFS Weekend and a happy belated Thanksgiving to all our Canadian readers. Tonight we are presented with an seven-game 10/15 NHL DFS slate, so let’s get underway.

Sign up NOW for WIN DAILY Premium Gold right here! DFS Pro Cheat Sheets, projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats with our DFS Pros and more!

10/15 NHL DFS Centers

Auston Matthews (FD $8,800 | DK $8,100) – Clear cut chalk of the night, unavoidable nonetheless. It looks like the Wild, who played in Ottawa last night, will be icing their starter Devan Dubnyk, who has held a GAA of 4.55 and a save percentage of .862. Not to mention that the Leafs have been averaging four goals a game (fourth in the league) and 35.2 shots per game (fifth in the league) with Matthews (6G, 1A) as their lead scorer. Matthews can’t stop putting the puck in the net and I doubt he’d spoil a golden opportunity to pad his stats.

Paul Statsny (FD $5,100 | DK $5,100) – Although the Golden Knights and the Predators are fairly evenly matched at first look, the stats tell a different story. While Vegas has been relatively good at keeping the puck out of their net, the same cannot be said for the Preds, who are averaging 4.2 goals against per game, tying them for third worst in the league along with the aformentioned Nashville Predators. Both the Preds and Golden Knights find themselves at the around top of the league in both goals scored and shots on goal per game. Vegas in particular has benefitted tremendously from the production of their second line, centered by Paul Statsny, with Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone on the wings.
Honorable Mention: Sean Couturier

10/15 NHL DFS Wingers

Andrei Svechnikov (FD $5,500 | DK $6,400) – A goal and seven assists in six games. This has truly been a tremendous start for the young winger. Svech will get an opportunity to improve his stats tonight at home in PNC against a shocking goaltender in Jonathan Quick, who in three games has allowed 19 goals for a 6.44 GAA and a .793 SV%. Carolina is a strong target tonight in general and given the strong start from the phenom he will be a prime option tonight at his price.

Patrik Laine (FD $8,000 | DK $8,000) – I wish he was just a little cheaper since he has been playing so well it would be great to be able to fit him with more great options in tonight’s slate. Laine has been leading his team with 11 points in just seven games, earning a move to the top line in the process. He will be up against solid goaltending in Antti Raanta but Laine is just too talented and will get the better of his countryman. His price (and his linemates’ prices) turns me off a bit given the risk but will be well worth it as a GPP play
HM: Oskar Lindblom

10/15 NHL DFS Defensemen

Ivan Provorov (FD $4,700 | DK $5,400) – Provorov has been seeing anywhere from 22-25 minutes in Philadelphia’s first three games, averaging a point per game in those contests. Provorov is the most stackable defenseman in tonight’s slate as he pairs well with both top lines on the Flyers. Last season, Provorov’s stats took a dip, however, given his hot start this season, there is no reason why he can’t reach the pace he set seasons prior. Not to mention, the Flames do give up a lot of goals and Provorov will be on the second power play unit.

Quinn Hughes (FD $4,300 | DK $4,000) – Hughes is beginning to hit the stride that was expected of him at the start of the season, with three points in four games, leading the Canucks defensemen in scoring. He has been averaging over 20 minutes a night and will be facing off against a weak defensive side in the Red Wings while skating on the second power play unit.
HM: Rasmus Andersson

10/15 NHL DFS Goalies

Frederik Andersen (FD $8,600 | DK $8,400) – The fact is the Wild just havent been scoring this season, residing among the bottom of the league in goals per game. The Leafs have been allowing goals in bunches but given their high favorability tonight it look like the Leafs are set to put on a clinic in front of the hometown fans

Petr Mrazek (FD $7,600 | DK $7,900) – Carolina is heavily favored in tonight’s matchup and given Mrazek’s price he will be a hot commodity tonight. With a perfect 5-1 record the surging Canes hold one of the leagues better goals against average, while also letting in a moderate amount of shots. The teams are tied in Corsi leading them to have similar offensive production to this point, but the Canes have the edge in both Fenwick and Shooting For Percentage.
HM: Connor Hellebuyck, Thatcher Demko (First start of the season)

10/15 NHL DFS STACKS

Toronto Maple Leafs 2 – This is the most stackable line in the slate and given that they will be up against some atrocious goaltending they ought to have high ownership. This line has had slightly better production than Torontos top line and at a much more affordable price. I like two-player stacks from this line for cash (Matthews with one of his wingers) and possibly a three-player stack from this line in a GPP (Matthews, Johnsson and Nylander)
HM
Carolina Hurricanes 2 (Svechnikov, Staal, Pesce)

10/15 NHL DFS Game Stacks

Tampa Bay vs Montreal – Both teams have strong offensive production and have had shaky goaltending from their “well-established” starters. Both have high implied totals and given that Montreal is a little undervalued its is possible to game stack this matchup. Tampa’s top line is the only one I’d consider stacking in this game and there is some leeway with Montreal as their top line as well as their third line both look suitable in a game stack. Given current point totals I’d give the edge to Montreal’s third line, take into account that Montreal’s top three lines generally see similar minutes as the talent is spread out around the roster.

10/15 NHL DFS Punts
Erik Haula (FD $5,500 | DK $5,800) On top of facing off against garbage goaltending, Haula has truly been spectacular this season. With five goals in six games, he has truly made a statement on Carolina’s third line, his production raises the value of his linemates Necas and Dzingel and his performance has earned him a spot centering Carolina’s second powerplay unit alongside Svechnikov and Hamilton. With a 27.8% shooting percentage (not gonna last) he is well worth the price.

Ilya Mikheyev (FD $4,100 | DK $4,000) Mikhevey has been another standout third liner this season and will also be facing shaky goaltending tonight. While averaging around 16 minutes of ice-time per night Mikheyev has found himself with five goals through the Leafs first six games along with a goal and an assist last game against the Red Wings. The Gagarin Cup finalist has had success plying his trade in the NHL and at his price he is worth the risk.
HM: Sean Walker, Anthony Mantha

10/15 NHL DFS Cash Plays
Auston Matthews – See Above ^^
Dougie Hamilton (FD $6,200 | DK $6,700) Everything is appealing about Dougie, except for his price. It makes it difficult to fit in other high quality options, however in a cash situation Hamilton is more than optimal in a two-player stack with someone like Haula or Svechnikov. Dougie leads all Canes defensemen in scoring and is tied for the lead in overall team scoring with four goals and four assists, while seeing around 23 minutes of ice time per game. As mentioned previously, Carolina will be facing off against some less than satisfactory goaltending and hold one of the highest implied goal totals of the slate.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets had a good Columbus Day and finished the day with a 2-2 record and a good start to the week. It was also a strange day with weird things happening with referees and such and Cash with the Flash Best Bets is glad we survived without losing our shirt.

New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal scored with less than 30 seconds left in the third period to tie the game and got the assist on the overtime goal at 1:13 to sink the St Louis Blues and ruin our winning NHL day.

The BuffaloSabres continued to be a winner for Cash with the Flash Best Bets and they tookcare of business with a 4-0 win over the Dallas Stars. Buffalo is 5-0-1 on theseason and has the best power-play unit in the NHL.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets is still trying to figure out if the Colorado Avalanche is forreal, but they are undefeated and slapped the Washington Capitals in their ownhouse on Monday. The Avalanche chased Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby at the 7:54 mark of the firstperiod after scoring their fourth goal and that was all she wrote.

The DetroitLions covered the +3.5 points last night and once again the NFL referees becamethe focal point and probably cost the Lions the victory. Even Lions legendBarry Sanders chimed in about the officiating;

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183946514311385088?s=20

This one from Sanders was classic.

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183938680827736064?s=20

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets nearly recommended the Lions on the money line but decidedagainst it and boy are we glad about that. At the end of the day, Cashwith the Flash Best Bets agrees with Sanders’ final thoughts on thematter.

https://twitter.com/BarrySanders/status/1183947126469873665?s=20

NFL underdogs are now 54-35-2 ATS through the first six weeksof the season and road dawgs are 40-21-2 ATS. Home favorites are continuallybeing over-valued and Cash with the Flash Best Bets sees a noteworthy trendworth exploiting here.

Another trend that seems to be a real thing is the Lions havecovered in 60 percent of their games since Matt Patricia became the Head Coach.Detroit hosts Minnesota this Sundayfollowed by a week eight game at home against the New York Giants.

We have several NHL games on the sheet tonight and Cashwith the Flash Best Bets does like a couple of those games.

Minnesota Wild vs TorontoMaple Leafs

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Maple Leafs -1.5Goals +120, Over 6.5 Goals

Tampa Bay scores goals and the Minnesota Wild is coming off their first victory of the season yesterday and prior to Monday had scored only 10 goals over their first four games. Devan Dubnyk is the probable starting goaltender for Minnesota, and he’s been dubious at best this season. Toronto has confirmed Frederik Anderson will be in goal and he hasn’t been much better than Dubnyk this season.

Both sides know how to score on the power play and neither clubis very good at preventing shorthanded goals, so we expect plenty of goalsscored tonight. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Toronto Maple Leafs to defeatthe Minnesota Wild by at least two goals and play OVER 6.5 goals scoredtonight.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets also likes the following NHLgames tonight;

Carolina Hurricanes -160 over the Los AngelesKings

Winnipeg Jets -135 over the Arizona Coyotes

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets had a strong Sunday and a tremendous close to a difficultweek by winning six of our eight NFL touts. Those road underdogs we talked about lastweekend reallycame through and Cash with the Flash Best Bets finished the week in the blackfor the seventh consecutive week in a row.

What makesthis extra special is how the competition fared on Sunday;

https://twitter.com/ActionNetworkHQ/status/1183525452440363008?s=20

Winningmatters because you paid to be here with the purpose of becoming better atsports gambling. That’s why, for the most part, Cash with the Flash Best Bets takes the time to explain why we like or dislike aplay.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets tries to relay trends such as roadunderdogs winning NFL games. Last Sunday’s post wasn’t even about the NFL, butwe still felt that trend was important, and we squeezed it in there so maybeyou could benefit.

NFLunderdogs are 53-35-2 ATS this season. Road underdogs are 40-20-1 ATS anddivisional underdogs have a record of 17-10. These are important trends for NFLbettors moving forward and as luck would have it, we have an NFL road underdogtonight we like very much.

DetroitLions vs GreenBay Packers

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Detroit Lions -3.5 points

WhyDetroit?

There is alot to like about this game. Detroit is coming off a bye week and has an extraweek to prepare for Green Bay and to heal from the week in, week out grind ofthe National Football League. Green Bay opened as six-point favorites and that’sbeen bet down to where its currently at. The Lions are a divisional underdogand we’ve seen how successful those underdogs have been this season.

Green Bay willonce again be without the services of Davante Adams and will also miss tightend RobertTonyan. The Lions will miss defensive tackle Mike Daniels and returnwide receiver Danny Amendolaafter missing the Lions last game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Matthew Stafford has thrown nine touchdown passes over his first four games with just two interceptions and I like the fact he has his full complement of receivers tonight. The Packers defense allows 238 passing yards per game and I think the Lions receivers will be able to give the stout Green Bay defense all they can handle on Monday night. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests taking the 3.5 points and playing the Lions to beat the Packers at Lambeau Field tonight.

The NHL hasa full slate of Columbus Day games and while we would love to analyze each gamefor you, most of the matchups are being played this afternoon and it just isn’tfeasible. Cash with the Flash Best Bets does like a couple of games on thesheet and here is what we have for you.

1:05 pmET: St Louis Blues -125 over the New York Islanders

3:05 pmET: Buffalo Sabres -110 over the Dallas Stars

5:05 pmET: Washington Capitals -125 over the Colorado Avalanche

Hey guys, for the second time in a row we have an 11-game slate to follow up a three-game slate the day before. That being said there is a lot to cover on tonight’s slate. The action begins at 7 pm ET with the final puck drop at 10 pm. Let’s get started on the 10/12 NHL DFS slate!

Sign up NOW for WIN DAILY Premium Gold right here! DFS Pro Cheat Sheets, projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats with our DFS Pros and more!

TORONTO vs. DETROIT – Toronto has a lot of fire-power but they have also been bleeding defensively in almost every game, relying on their high-powered offense to score their way out of problems. Detroit has had a hot start to the season but is starting to look a little shaky. On paper, this game looks like an interesting matchup but I don’t have confidence in either team regarding DFS play Targets: Matthews-Rielly (Stack), Mantha, DeKeyser, Toronto Maple Leafs 3 (Punt)

NEW JERSEY vs. BOSTON – New Jersey has been bad this season and it’s coming as a bit of a surprise given all the improvements they made over the offseason. They have yet to record a win in their 2019-20 campaign and it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer to achieve that feat as they are going up against a strong Bruins lineup in TD Gardens. Boston also has a strong defensive core alongside their deadly (but expensive) top line. Targets: Boston Bruins 1, Coyle

ST LOUIS vs MONTREAL – St Louis has gotten off to a hot start this season and has benefitted from solid goaltending courtesy of Jordan Binnington. They will faceoff against a Montreal side that is among the leagues worst in goals allowed per game. So far this season the Blues have yet to lose on the road and Montreal has yet to win at home. Targets: St. Louis Blues 2, Pietrangelo

FLORIDA vs NEW YORK ISLANDERS – Both the Isles and the Panthers played last night and both lost on the road. Tonight they will meet up at Nassau Colesium and although the initial instinct is to favor the Panthers, neither team has been playing particularly well and, like Montreal, Florida is among the leagues worst in Goals allowed to start the season. Interesting enough, backup Sam Montembault will get his first start of the season tonight. He posted good numbers last season and it will be interesting to see how he performs. Targets: Beauvillier-Toews, Hoffman, Dadonov, Montembault (Punt)

COLOMBUS v CAROLINA – Again both these teams played last night and tonight will be a battle of the backups. In the tendy “tale of the tape” the two goalies are absolutely mismatched. Carolina will be turning to James Reimer who is a perfect 2-0 to start the season and will be entering the night sporting a .940 SV%, on the other side Columbus’ starter Elvis Merzlikins lost his only start of the season and coughed up seven goals in the process, I will be targeting Carolina against the rookie netminder tonight. Targets: Carolina Hurricanes 2, Haula, Teravainen, Reimer

WINNIPEG vs CHICAGO – This game could get out of hand. Neither goalie has been particularly impressive to start the season with both teams allowing an average of 3.6 goals per game. However, both teams are also scoring in abundance to keep themselves in games. With that being said this matchup is tonight’s ideal game stack. Targets: Winnipeg Jets 1-Chicago Blackhawks 2, Pionk, Maatta

WASHINGTON vs DALLAS – Although upon first look it seems as though this would be Dallas’ game, in actually the stats paint a much greyer picture. Neither team is scoring goals in abundance and Washington has had a positive record on the road while Dallas has struggled at home yet to secure a win. That could change tonight, however, I believe there are better plays to target in tonight’s large slate. Targets: Dallas Stars 2

PITTSBURGH v MINNESOTA – Although Pittsburgh has been mired by the injury bug to start the season that no match for the horrible case of awfulness that has struck the Wild to start the season. The Wild have lost their opening three games in regulation and have are among the leagues worst in goals allowed, allowing Pittsburgh to maintain viability despite the injury struggles. Targets: Crosby-Simon, Zuccarello

ARIZONA vs. COLORADO – Arizona was able to take advantage of a struggling Malcolm Subban in their last match but will be in a much tougher spot tonight against the Aves who are 3-0-0 this season, the Avalanche may call upon their backup Pavel Francouz to tend the twine tonight. Although this imparts a certain added risk to Colorado, Francouz did post solid numbers in his two NHL appearances last season along with solid stats in the minors last season with a .918 SV% and a 2.68 GAA. Targets: Kadri, Makar, Colorado Avalanche 1, Oesterle, Soderberg

PHILADELPHIA vs VANCOUVER – No matter what continent they’re on, the Flyers have been lights out in the NHL Regular season. After an opening salvo in Prague, the Flyers followed up with a 4-0 shutout for their home opener, the young Hart’s first of his career. Although the Canucks tore into the Kings they were the Kings, it is unlikely they will have a similar result against a more formidable opponent in the Flyers. Targets: Philadelphia Flyers 2, Provorov, Hart, Hughes, Miller

CALGARY vs VEGAS – Both teams are very dangerous offensively but also have solidified defensive cores and are among the leagues best in goals-against average. This game could work as a game stack but it will be a tight squeeze. Along with the Flyers and Canucks game, this will be the final game of the night. Targets: Calgary Flames 2-Vegas Golden Knights 2 OR Calgary Flames 2-Vegas Golden Knights 1

Cash withthe Flash Best Betshad a strong day yesterday with our NHL picks, winning both plays with plusmoney outcomes. Anaheim took care of business over Columbus at +125 and theCarolina Panthers defeated the New York Islanders by two goals for a +155profit on the night. Cashwith the Flash Bets went undefeated for the first time this week and weare elated about this.

That’snearly 300 bucks if you bet $100 dollars per game and considering how roughthis week has been at Cashwith the Flash Best Bets, it was a nice Friday night win.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets still has over a week before the NBA regular season kicks in and when it does, this column will be very busy.

Saturday has a full slate of National Hockey League games beginning at 1:00 pm ET so Cash with the Flash Best Bets need to get cracking!!

Edmonton Oilers vs New YorkRangers

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: New York Rangers -135

This onebegins at 1:00 pm ET and Edmonton is undefeated but none of their wins has comeagainst above .500 hockey teams. New York is also undefeated and has a qualitywin over the Winnipeg Jets and the other came against the Ottawa Senators. TheOilers are planning on starting MikkoKoskinen and the Rangers will likely counter with HenrikLundqvist guarding the cage.

Why theRangers?

It’s anearly start and let’s face it; New York City has plenty of things for young mento do at night and these young fellas from Edmonton are no exception. Koskinenhas been very good this season, but he hasn’t faced a good offense yet and theRangers have a good offense and the most successful power-play unit in the NHLthis season. New York also has Lundqvist and while his numbers don’t fairlyreflect a Hall of Fame career, he still is one of the best to ever put ongoalie pads and should be able to handle the Oilers this afternoon. Cash withthe Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Rangers to beat the Oilers onSaturday.

Tampa BayLightning vs Ottawa Senators

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Tampa Bay -1.5 Goals +115

This onebegins at 4:00 pm ET and the Tampa Bay Lightning is just 2-2 this season andcoming off a 7-3 thumping over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto. Ottawa iswinless in three tries and has scored eight goals over their past three games. It looks like AndreiVasilevskiy will guard the cage for Tampa Bay and CraigAnderson has been confirmed to start between the pipes for theSenators.

Why TampaBay?

We can’tplay the -260-money line price because there isn’t any value in that price. We can’tpick the Senators because Anderson has poor advanced metrics and aninexperienced blueline and up against a Lightning offense that has scored 18goals over their past four games with the reigning Vezina Trophy winnercrouching in the crease. If Tampa Bay beats Ottawa, and Cash with the FlashBest Bets believes the Lightning will defeat the Senators, it will likely be bymore than two goals. Cash with theFlash Best Bets suggests playing Tampa Bay to defeat Ottawa by morethan two goals on Saturday.

NashvillePredators vs Los AngelesKings

Cash withthe Flash Best Bets: Nashville Predators -1.5 Goals +165

This is a6:00 pm ET start, and Nashville brings a 3-1-0 record into this contest and it’slikely that PekkaRinne will start in goal for the Predators. Los Angeles is 1-2-0 thisseason and likely guarding the cage for their Saturday home opener is JonathonQuick.

WhyNashville?

The money line price is okay at -155 but these are the Kings and playing in their home opener and while they would like to put on a good show for their home fans, the Predators are solid and have an experienced goaltender in Rinne patrolling the crease. Quick has been brutal this season and his inexperienced blueline shoulders part of the blame. Neither side’s special team is anything to write home about, but the Predators should be able to win this game against the Kings. Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Predators to defeat the Kings by two goals or more Saturday evening.

We’re back! Tonight we have a small three-game slate to cover with some very intriguing options to discuss. Let’s get right into it!

10/11 NHL DFS Centers

Jordan Staal (FD $5,800 | DK $4,100) – Staal has three points in his last three games and will be going up against a goalie in Varlamov who had one of the worst starts in his career, dropping his first two starts and holding a shocking GAA of 4.09 and a Save Percentage of .872. Staal will be playing alongside marquee winger Andrei Svechnikov and the two work brilliantly in a stack.

Erik Haula (FD $5,200 | DK $4,700) – Haula is more of a punt option to add a bit of separation in this slate. Like Staal, Haula will also face off against Varlamov and his disappointing numbers. Haula started the season on fire, scoring three goals in his first three games. With almost 20 minutes of ice-time per game on a third line, Haula is definitely an option worth considering.

Honorable Mention: Isac Lundestrom

10/11 NHL DFS Wingers

Andrei Svechnikov (FD $5,400 | DK $5,700) – Svech has been Carolina’s best performer as of late by posting two assists in each of his last THREE games, now thats consistency! Furthermore, his price remains largely unaffecting by his point surge. If he continues this level of production he will bring lots of value to not only himself but his linemates. Svechnikov has been seeing around 16-17 minutes a game and features on the second power-play unit.

Tuevo Teravainen (FD $6,600 | DK $5,900) – Like Svech Teravainen has also been consistently tearing it up with at least one point in every game this season. Teravainen is featured on the top line and plays on the second power play with Svechnikov, usually seeing around 20 minutes of ice-time a game. Teravainen is a little pricier than Svech but definitely holds value in tonight’s slate.
HM: Anthony Beauvillier

10/11 NHL DFS Defensemen

Rasmus Dahlin (FD $6,300 | DK $5,900) – Wow. Rasmus Dahlin has been insane and he easily been the powerhouse of Buffalo’s electric offence, in just four games he has posted a goal and six assists! He is the most expensive defenseman on the slate and rightfully so. In Dahlin, you get one of the most stackable defenseman on this small slate and a workhorse who will log in around 20 minutes per game along with time on Buffalo’s top power-play unit.

Dougie Hamilton (FD $5,500 | DK $6,300) – Dougie has three points in his last two games, including two goals. Hamilton is easily my second favorite defenseman on the slate and is easily stackable with both of Carolina’s top lines. As mentioned earlier, he will also be in a position to exploit Varlamov tonight.
HM: Devon Toews

10/11 NHL DFS Goalies

Ryan Miller (FD $8,000 | DK $7,300) – The American backstop will get his first start of the season tonight against the Colombus Blue Jackets who have struggled to open the season. His opposing tendy, Korpisalo, is holding a 3.44 GAA and a .851 Save Percentage. The goalie options aren’t spectacular tonight but Miller is the most cost-effective and is in a position to perform coming off his last two preseason starts where he let in no goals.

Petr Mrazek (FD $7,800 | DK $8,000) – No goalie has particularly pleasing stats tonight and it seems like these games could turn into goal fests. At this time, Carolina has the best odds to win and a win bonus could be crucial in a slate such as this. it could pay off just going for the win tonight, however, Miller is still my top choice tonight.

10/11 NHL DFS STACKS

Buffalo Sabres 1 – Unfortunately Daily Fantasy sites have caught on to the tremendous value on this line but they are still the most playable line in todays three-game slate. This line alone has 9 goals in four games, they’re coming hot out of the gate and their goalie on the opposing side of the ice holds a 4.78 GAA and a Save Percentage of .859, even at the beginning of the season, thats abysmal.
HM
Carolina Hurricanes 2

10/11 NHL DFS Game Stacks
Buffalo Sabres vs Florida Panthers – If any game on this small slate has the ability to pop off its this one. Both teams have a “dark horse” quality and possess the scoring touch as Florida took it to the defending Presidents trophy champions in Sunrise, squeezing out the 4-3 win. Carolina has averaged three goals a game while Buffalo has averaged 4.5 goals per game, the firepower is right here.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets suffered through a strange Thursday en route to a 1-2 betting day. It was strange for us to see the Washington Capitals blow a two-goal lead heading into the third period, regain the lead only to allow consecutive goals within one minute of each other and smash what would have been a nice, profitable day at Cash with the Flash Best Bets.

Cashwith the Flash Best Bets makes that +125 suggestion on the Capitals every day of theweek and twice on Sunday.

Watching theNew York Giants defense score a touchdown after forcing New England quarterbackTom Brady to fumble the football was strange to see and Cash with the FlashBest Bets lost the under when the Patriots offense decided enough was enoughand we should have known better than to play the total of a New EnglandPatriots game.

Cash with the Flash Best Bets also suggested the St Louis Blues would defeat the Ottawa Senators by more than 1.5 goals and they did by a score of 6-4. Four third period goals by the Blues sealed the deal and kept Cash with the Flash from a winless day yesterday. If you made this play, that win was worth +130 per unit.

It’s been byfar the most difficult week we’ve had at Cashwith the Flash Best Bets and we aren’t alone. Twitter is full of bettorshaving a tough week and especially a tough Thursday with many having the underon the Thursday night football game.

The Bankroll Management piece Cash with the Flash Best Bets published this week was the real MVP and we’re going to write more posts like that. It’s sometimes better to take a step back and learn things rather than chasing bad bets hoping to get even.

There are just three games in the NHL tonight and let’s seeif we can return to our winning ways and cash some tickets with Cash with theFlash! I would also invite you to bookmark our NHLBetting Primer and refer to it often as terms and stats used here dailyare explained more fully.

New YorkIslanders vs Carolina Hurricanes

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Carolina Hurricanes-1.5 Goals +

This one begins at 7:35 pm ET and should be fairly simple. TheCarolina Hurricanes should win this matchup and worth the +155 price you willhave to pay at most Vegas shops.

The Islanders penalty kill unit hasn’t been good this season.Like 66.7 percent success rate not good and that is going to hurt them on theroad against teams like the Hurricanes and especially so when the home whistlerears its ugly head. New York will likely start ThomasGreiss in the nets and was good at his only start of the season and CorsicaHockey liked what it saw. His xSV% of 93.29 percent is outstanding and Greisswas 3-1-0 against the Hurricanes last season.

Carolina is 4-0-0 this young season and their special teams area big reason for that the Hurricanes’ early success. The Hurricanes penaltykill unit has a 78.9 percent kill rate and the power play scores on 33.3percent of its opportunities. Carolina will likely start PetrMrazek in front of the cage and he’s 2-0-0 this season. Corsica Hockeydoesn’t like the Carolina netminder much and especiallynot his negative GSAA. Mrazek was 0-1-1 last season against New Yorkand he’ll be hoping for revenge on Friday night.

Why Carolina?

The Hurricanes are playing at home and have been playing goodhockey with a pair of overtime wins. Corsica Hockey may not fancy Mrazek much, but he has a solid blue line and is playing at home where he was 12-5-1 lastseason. The Islanders score less than three goals per game this season and thisis their first away game of the season. Greiss was terrific in his first startof the season and has a career road record of 58-53-12. Those numbers are greatbut the Islanders’ inability to score goals consistently thus far this seasonwill hurt them tonight. Cashwith the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Carolina Hurricanes todefeat the New York Islanders by at least two goals Friday night.

AnaheimDucks vs Columbus BlueJackets

Cash with the Flash Best Bets: Anaheim +125

Columbus has allowed 11 goals over their first three games of the season and it’s clear they miss Sergei Bobrovsky in the nets. Tonight’s probable starter Joonas Korpisalo has allowed seven of those goals and Corsica Hockey views Korpisalo favorably with a solid 93.32 xSV% and plus GSAA of 0.27. Korpisalo was 0-0-1 last season against Anaheim with a 3.00 goals-against average. Columbus has a strong, 33.3 percent power-play success rate and a weak 61.5 percent success rate on the penalty kill this season.

Anaheim is off to a nice, 3-1-0 start to their season despitebeing shut out on the power play but has killed off penalties at a 92.3 successrate this season. The Ducks suffered a 2-1 loss last night and that suggeststhe Ducks will sit John Gibson in favor of backup goaltender RyanMiller. Miller is making his first regular-season appearance and iscoming off an 8-7-2 season with 2.76 goals-against average and is 5-3-3 over 13career games against Columbus.

Why Anaheim?

The Ducks are coming off a tough, 2-1 loss to Pittsburgh and they’ll want to correct that and playing a struggling team like Columbus is a good place to get back on track. The Blue Jackets have struggled on the penalty kill and they struggle scoring goals and they struggle to keep pucks out of their own net. Normally we pick on backup goaltending, but I’m not worried a bit about Miller; he’s a veteran and understands his role and that is to keep an already anemic Blue Jackets off the scoreboard. Plus, his blueline is as solid as they come.  Cash with the Flash Best Bets suggests playing the Anaheim Ducks to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight in Columbus.
