This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 11/27 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. BE SURE to double-check both regular and power play lines at both morning skate and before lock as they can drastically change from the time of publication.

Top Four Lines

Washington One – Alex Ovechkin “Core”, John Carlson “Core”, Evgeny Kuznetsov “Core”, Tom Wilson, Lars Eller “Power Play”

Javi might not like to admit it but the Florida Panthers have allowed their fair share of goals this season “89 total”. In fact, they have also allowed at least four goals in each of their last three games. Florida should be likely to give up a few again in what should turn out to be a shootout in Washington. Ovie and John Carlson are expensive but are offering a floor due to their ability to routinely rack up bonuses in DraftKing’s scoring format. They remain strong plays on FanDuel despite the lack of that added boost. From there I would add Evgeny Kuznetsov. If trying to go ALL CAPS in tournaments, with Nicklas Backstrom out, we can look to Tom Wilson or Lars Eller to provide us a discount with more potential production than Backstrom provides when healthy.

Toronto One – Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Andreas Johnsson

It has been a while since this line has appeared in the Hot Shot, as Toronto has suffered a coaching change alongside a number of woes. However, perhaps this is where things start to turn around after two straight wins, as they come in projected for a slate high 3.88 goals. The Leafs will travel to face a Detroit team that has dropped six straight games and has allowed a league-high 98 goals. Unlike the Toronto second line, all three of the aforementioned skaters get power play time. This line is also very affordable on both sites.

Colorado One – Nathan McKinnon, Andre Burakovsky, Joonas Donskoi, Cale Makar “Powerplay Add-On”

While not to be mistaken for Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen, Nathan McKinnon’s new linemates have done an adequate job filling in. Last time they faced the Oilers, Edmonton ended up getting the better of the Avs. However, they will look to even the score back on home ice. Much like the Toronto line above, you really just have to pay up at the center and the other two skaters are fairly cheap. All three also share a correlation on the first power-play unit. If aiming to attack the power play specifically, Cale Makar makes for an ideal addition to the stack. I like his price better on FanDuel than on DraftKings.

San Jose Two – Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier, Barclay Goodrow – Large Field GPP

If Tomas Hertl does not return I like this line a lot less so that will something to monitor at the morning skate. However, they would still be viable on DraftKings where you can use Barclay Goodrow at the center, and pivot it the utility spot to either Kevin Labanc or someone else if Hertl is out after lock. San Jose Two makes for an ideal value stack to be able to add alongside some of the slate’s heavyweights. Connor Hellebuyck has been solid in net lately, which gives me some hesitation and I would restrict this to larger field GPPs. Nevertheless, this line should be low owned and has tournament-winning upside.

11/27 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

David Pastrnak – Over 6.5 Fantasy Points Pasta’s bowl is full right now, as is coming off a hat trick against the Canadiens. Let’s just lock him in before Monkey Knight Fight removes him from the pool again.

John Carlson – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points This seems like a bit of a discount in terms of expectation for John Carlson. Particularly considering the fact that Carlson has been far and away from the most productive offensive defenseman in the NHL so far this season.

Top Two Lines

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, David Krejci

The Boston top line makes for a very tough fade on a three-game slate, particularly in cash games. The Canadians were able to beat them a couple of weeks ago in a similar spot as home favorites. However, it looks like Boston is rolling again. As a result, those odds from last time have flipped with Boston a -125 favorite as of the time of writing. Their 3.37 goal total is the highest projected on what should be a low scoring slate. As Patrice Bergeron has been ruled out in advance of the last two games, we will get a discount in the form of David Krejci. He makes for must play value on both sites. I would use him as a one-off in lines without other Boston players as well.

New Jersey One – Taylor Hall, Kyle Palmieri, Nico Hischier

I am not a huge fan of this team but they find themselves in a good spot. They will face the Minnesota Wild who is on a back to back, at home, with Kaapo Kohkonen in the net. At some point, there will be some positive regression for Taylor Hall and the company and perhaps this is where it begins. The Devils come in as a -129 favorite with a 3.14 goal total and are affordable throughout the industry.

11/26 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. David Krejci – Boston Bruins – $5,100
  2. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,500
  3. Alexander Radulov – Dallas Stars – $5,500

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. Torrey Krug – Boston Bruins – $6,100
  2. Ryan Suter – Minnesota Wild – $3,700
  3. Erik Gustafsson – Chicago Blackhawks – $3,800

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Robin Lehner – Chicago Blackhawks – $8,000
  2. Jaroslav Halak – Boston Bruins – $7,600
  3. Anton Khudobin – Dallas Stars – $7,500

11/26 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $9,200
  2. David Krejci – Boston Bruins – $6,700
  3. Alexander Radulov – Dallas Stars – $6,700

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. Torrey Krug – Pittsburgh Penguins – $5,800
  2. Matt Dumba – Minnesota Wild – $3,800
  3. Miro Heiskanen- Dallas Stars – $5,300

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Robin Lehner – Chicago Blackhawks – $7,800
  2. Anton Khudobin – Dallas Stars – $7,700
  3. Jaroslav Halak – Boston Bruins – $8,600
  4. Kaapo Kahkonen – Minnesota Wild- $7,000 (Large Field GPP)

11/26 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

David Pastrnak – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points After temporarily not being an option on Monkey Knight Fight during his hot streak, Pasta is back in our lives. On a three-game slate, it’s best to get a bowl and eat that chalk.

Taylor Hall over Jack Hughes + 0.5 – Shots on Goal plus Blocks Taylor Hall has been ice cold as of late but still tends to rack up ice time and shots on goal at a higher rate than his rookie counterpart.

Keep in mind that the Florida game is not on the Fanduel slate so it starts later and makes that a two-game slate.

Top Three Lines

San Jose One – Logan Couture, Evander Kane, Kevin Labanc – “Preferred on DraftKings”

I don’t mind either San Jose line as they head down the coast to Los Angeles. They will travel with some momentum after a pair of Logan Couture game-winning goals in overtime over their last two games. This line seems too cheap on DraftKings where Couture is $6,000 and Kevin Labanc is $4,800, making them extremely affordable. I would have more interest in the second line of Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier, and minimum priced Barclay Goodrow on Fanduel. However, the second line has a little bit more uncertainty as Tomas Hertl will be a game-time decision after sitting out yesterday. The Sharks are on average a -140 favorite and I think they allow some goals here as well, just in case you wanted a late-night gpp game stack of sorts.

Pittsburgh One – Evgeni Malkin, Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust, John Marino “Add-On”

This team is only a -150 favorite at the time of writing, home to the Calgary Flames. They might also get Kris Letang back as he participated in a full skate over the weekend and will be a game-time decision. Am I missing something here? Despite a lot of injuries, the Penguins have maintained some semblance of respectability. Meanwhile, the Flames have been healthy but you wouldn’t know it as they have fallen off the map completely. Bryan Rust is my top point per dollar play below on FanDuel at his misprice of $5,000. I think with Justin Schultz out now, the return of Letang won’t be such a huge detriment to John Marino. Marino remains one of my favorite salary savers around on both sites, even if Letang does return.

Tampa Bay One – Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Ondrej Palat

The heaviest favorite on the slate, Tampa is coming in at -255 as they get the Buffalo Sabres on the second night of a back to back. The availability of Steven Stamkos will be a big question mark and we should know more about that after the morning skate. Nevertheless, this line smashed Saturday Night and seem to be gaining momentum. Carter Hutton, who has been the shakier of the two Buffalo goaltenders, will be in net and should have his hands full.

11/25 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. Logan Couture – San Jose Sharks – $6,000
  2. Evgeni Malkin – Pittsburgh Penguins – $7,400
  3. Matt Duchene – Nashville Predators – $4,800 “$2,100 less than on Fanduel”

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. John Marino – Pittsburgh Penguins – $3,300
  2. Nick Leddy – New York Islanders – $3,300
  3. Seth Jones – Columbus Blue Jackets – $5,700

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Thomas Greiss – New York Islanders – $7,700
  2. Jacob Markstrom – Vancouver Canucks – $7,200 (GPP)
  3. Mark Andre-Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $7,500 (GPP)

11/25 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. Bryan Rust – Pittsburgh Penguins – $5,000
  2. Logan Couture – San Jose Sharks – $7,100
  3. Morgan Frost – Philadelphia Flyers – $4,000

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. John Marino – Pittsburgh Penguins – $3,700
  2. Seth Jones – Columbus Blue Jackets – $5,400
  3. Jacob Trouba – New York Rangers – $4,300

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Thomas Greiss- New York Islanders – $7,800
  2. Carter Hart – Philadelphia Flyers – $7,400 (GPP)

11/25 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Brent Burns over Drew Doughty +0.5 – Shots on Goal Plus Blocks I think there is a huge gap between Brent Burns who is still an elite defender as opposed to Doughty who still gets his share of hits but far less offensive stats nowadays.

Evgeni Malkin – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points Considering how awful Calgary has been and how consistent Evgeni Malkin has been, it seems very fair.

Keep in mind that the Florida game is not on the Fanduel slate so it starts later and makes that a two-game slate.

Top Two Lines

Edmonton One – Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Kassian

It is not exactly an ideal matchup. However, on a three-game slate this line makes for a tough fade as it may end up the highest-scoring line in the NHL this season. In cash games, I would try to jam in both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Meanwhile, Zach Kassian has been benefitting from his association with the duo and adds some savings. In a tournament, if using Edmonton I would either use all three or a McDavid or Draisaitl one-off. On the flip side, as I expect this line to be very popular if trying to be contrarian you can use Darcy Kuemper in the net.

Top Value Line “Draftkings Only”

Florida One – Aleksander Barkov, Evgenii Dadonov, Jonathan Huberdeau

At home in South Florida, the Panthers should get to feast on some of Buffalo’s atrocious depth lines. The top-line trio presents the best alternative on this slate to Edmonton One and will likely be a little bit more contrarian. The prices have unfortunately come up a bit but that is at least in part due to their production. On FanDuel without Florida on the slate, you can turn to the Sebastian Aho line but I prefer this one on DraftKings.

11/24 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. Connor McDavid – Edmonton Oilers – $8,500
  2. Leon Draisaitl – Edmonton Oilers – $8,000
  3. Aleksander Barkov – Florida Panthers – $7,700

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. Dougie Hamilton – Carolina Hurricanes – $6,800
  2. Aaron Eklbad – Florida Panthers – $5,200
  3. Anton Stralman – Florida Panthers – $2,600

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Mikko Koskinen – Edmonton Oilers – $7,400
  2. Darcy Kuemper – Arizona Coyotes – $7,800 (GPP)

11/24 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. Connor McDavid – Edmonton Oilers – $9,300
  2. Leon Draisaitl – Edmonton Oilers – $8,800
  3. Zach Kassian – Edmonton Oilers – $4,400

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. Dougie Hamilton – Carolina Hurricanes – $6,700
  2. Jacob Chychrun – Arizona Coyotes – $3,700
  3. Ethan Bear – Edmonton Oilers – $3,600

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Mikko Koskinen – Edmonton Oilers – $8,400
  2. Darcy Kuemper – Arizona Coyotes – $8,300

11/24 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Leon Draisaitl – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points – Most of the attention in Edmonton tends to go to Connor McDavid. That’s just the way that Leon Draisaitl likes it.

Aleksander Barkov – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points This seems like a really fair threshold to meet for a player of Barkov’s talents.

Top Five Lines

Tampa Bay One – Brayden Point, Steven Stamkos, Ondrej Palat

Tampa Bay will likely be the chalk of the night with a projected 3.89 goal total and as a slate high -215 favorite. It will be important to see the status of Nikita Kucherov and track that throughout the day as his status is still up in the air. If Kucherov returns I would suggest using his normal line with Brayden Point. However, proceeding as if he will not return, we can turn to the current Tampa Bay One consisting of Point, Steven Stamkos, and Ondrej Palat. Point and Stamkos would be the two primary plays and also share correlation on the power play one.

Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron

The Minnesota Wild haven’t been as poor as of late as they were to begin the season. However, it’s all relative as they should get the usual treatment visitors get in Boston. As always, I don’t have to sing their praises but it is a matter of trying to afford them. The 3.23 projected goal total for the Bruins is a bit low but should climb all the way up to game time. When the notification pops up that Boston just scored a goal, the only question that remains is whether it was Pasta, Brad Marchand, or Patrice Bergeron.

Montreal One – Tomas Tatar, Phillip Danault, Brendan Gallagher, Shea Weber (Add-On)

The Rangers certainly disappointed us last night, laying a total egg in Ottawa. I don’t think things get better for them on the back to back as they head up to Montreal for a tussle with the Habs. Ichiro’s son Nick Suzuki and the second line, as well as the Montreal third line, should be in play to grab some of Montreal’s 3.76 projected goal total. However, it should be the first line in the best spot to pick their matchups and do the most damage.

“Value” New York Islanders Two – Brock Nelson, Derrick Brassard, Anthony Beauvillier

This might be the hottest line in hockey right now and they come in cheap across the industry, particularly on DraftKings. The Islanders are away from home ice, but get an up-tempo matchup with the Sharks. The production over the last week speaks for itself as they have helped propel the Islanders to a franchise-record points streak.

“Value” Colorado One – Nathan McKinnon, Andre Burakovsky, Joonas Donskoi, Cale Makar (Add-On)

Outside of Nathan McKinnon, the other two pieces are cheap so I do consider this a value line. They should be able to dispose of the spiraling Maple Leafs at home. I am struggling to figure out why the odds at the time of writing are so close with the Avs just a -120 favorite. If you really want to spice things up, throw in Cale Makar who has arguably been the second-best fantasy defenseman so far this season, outside of John Carlson.

11/23 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,700
  2. Anthony Beauvillier – New York Islanders – $4,800
  3. Brock Nelson – New York Islanders – $5,700

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. Cale Makar – Colorado Avalanche – $6,200
  2. Nick Leddy – New York Islanders – $3,400
  3. Scott Mayfield – New York Islanders – $3,100

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Connor Hellebuyck – Winnipeg Jets – $8,100
  2. Tuukka Rask – Boston Bruins – $8,500

11/23 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,600
  2. Anthony Beauvillier – New York Islanders – $5,500
  3. Brock Nelson – New York Islanders – $5,900

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. Cale Makar – Colorado Avalanche – $5,100
  2. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,600
  3. Shea Weber – Montreal Canadians – $6,400

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Connor Helleybuck – Winnipeg Jets – $8,200
  2. Tuukka Rask – Boston Bruins – $9,000

11/23 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

David Pastrnak – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal and Blocks – Wow, considering Pasta has been routinely getting the five-shot on goal bonuses, this seems very fair.

Cale Makar – Over 3.5 Fantasy Points It feels strange to be writing up an Avalanche player outside of Nathan McKinnon. However, Cale Makar is the real deal and the price in DFS and threshold on Monkey Knife Fight will both only increase in the future.

Top Expensive Line

Pittsburgh One – Evgeni Malkin, Bryan Rust, Jake Guentzel, John Marino “Add on for savings”

Although Artemi Panarin is my favorite individual play on the slate price notwithstanding, this is my favorite of the lines. John Marino is getting a ton of ice time with all of the injuries and remains dirt cheap. Marcus Pettersson is now the quarterback of the power-play unit so he is another potential add-on although I like him better on DraftKings. With value like that, you should be able to afford the “Malkin line” which has been scoring all of Pittsburgh’s goals lately. Malkin and Bryan Rust are the ones doing the most work but I like the full line here. As for Mr. Rust, he remains far too cheap on FanDuel.

Top Value Line

New York Rangers Two – Filip Chytil, Chris Kreider, Pavel Buchnevich

Most of the attention tends to go to either Artemi Panarin or Kappo Kakko when the Rangers have a big night. However, this line has quietly been producing at a discount. The Rangers are only projected for 3.17 goals as an underdog here. However, they have stepped their game up as of late aside from getting smoked by the Tampa Bay Lightning last week. I think that they win this game coming off the momentum of their big victory over the Capitals. Don’t be surprised if this line plays a big role in the process.

11/22 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. Kappo Kakko – New York Rangers – $4,600
  2. Artemi Panarin – New York Rangers – $8,700
  3. Evgeni Malkin – Pittsburgh Penguins – $7,500

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. John Marino – Pittsburgh Penguins – $3,000
  2. Marcus Pettersson – Pittsburgh Penguins – $2,600
  3. Sami Vatanen – New Jersey Devils – $4,200

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Henrik Lundqvist – New York Rangers – $7,700
  2. Tristan Jarry – Pittsburgh Penguins – $8,200

11/22 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. Artemi Panarin – New York Rangers – $8,600
  2. Bryan Rust – Pittsburgh Penguins – $5,200
  3. Kappo Kakko – New York Rangers – $5,400

FanDuel Defensemen

  1. John Marino – Pittsburgh Penguins – $3,600
  2. Tony DeAngelo – New York Rangers – $4,700
  3. Sami Vatanen – New Jersey Devils – $4,400

FanDuel Goalies

  1. Henrik Lundqvist – New York Rangers – $7,800
  2. Tristan Jarry – Pittsburgh Penguins – $7,700

11/22 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Artemi Panarin – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – As mentioned above, like the Rangers placed a bunch of money, let’s place our trust in the Breadman Artemi Panarin has been extremely consistent over the last few weeks.

Evgeni Malkin > Jake Guentzel + 0.5 – Points Right now with Sidney Crosby out, Evgeni Malkin is this team’s leader. I’m willing to roll with this bet despite the 0.5 point start for Jake Guentzel.

Top Four Lines

Las Vegas One – William Karlsson, Reilly Smith, Max Pacioretty, Nate Schmidt “Add-On FanDuel”

This one should be an absolute barn burner, tied for the highest projected total on the night. These two teams absolutely hate each other with Vegas dominating the Sharks earlier this season with their playoff collapse likely still on their mind. Vegas comes in a -180 home favorite and we can turn to either of the two top lines. Based on pricing I prefer Las Vegas One on FanDuel and Las Vegas Two on DraftKings. The Sharks have allowed the most goals in the Western Conference and I don’t think the Golden Knights are still over things.

Boston One – Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand

The entire band should be back after Bergeron missed a couple of games previously due to injury. I am not a firm believer in Buffalo as they had a similar decent start last year before flaming out. The Bruins are strong -215 favorites and should be able to grab the win after what has been a relatively rough week for them.

Florida One – Aleksander Barkov, Evgenii Dadonov, Jonathan Huberdeau

The Ducks have not been quite as defensively solid as in past years and now make the trip to the east coast to face a high flying Panthers team. This line is always cheaper on DraftKings so I prefer them on that site. The second line is fine if you need some savings but the top line should be the primary target. I see them as more of a tournament play on this slate.

Edmonton One – Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Kassian

Connor McDavid and friends get a juicy matchup vs. the Kings. Even a heavy dose of Anze Kopitar will not be able to slow down Edmonton one bit. McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been nothing short of amazing and this stack will likely not get the ownership it deserves due to being the last game of the night. They should be able to tack onto the Kings -22 point differential.

11/21 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. Connor McDavid – Edmonton Oilers- $8,700
  2. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $8,500
  3. Nathan McKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,400

NHL DraftKings Top Three Defenders

  1. Cale Makar – Colorado Avalanche – $5,700
  2. Matt Grzelcyk – Boston Bruins – $4,600
  3. John Marino – Pittsburgh Penguins – $2,900 “Check if Schultz Out”

NHL DraftKings Goalies

  1. Thomas Greiss – New York Islanders – $8,000
  2. Phillip Grubauer – Colorado Avalanche – $7,700

11/21 NHL FanDuel Rankings

FanDuel Forwards/Centers

  1. Connor McDavid – Edmonton Oilers – $9,300
  2. David Pastrnak – Boston Bruins – $9,100
  3. Nathan McKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $8,800

  1. Matt Grzelcyk – Boston Bruins – $4,000
  2. Nate Schmidt – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $4,400
  3. Cale Makar – Colorado Avalanche – $5,100

William Karlsson +0.5 over Tomas Hertl – I think I would still take this even if the 0.5 point advantage was awarded the other way around.

Connor McDavid – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points He had a three-point night last time out versus San Jose. As they have yet to raise the amount needed, let’s keep riding the wave.

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 11/19 on DraftKings and FanDuel.

11/19 NHL – Main Slate

I am not a huge fan of most of the early games at all. If I were to use any line from any of those games, it would be Carolina Two with Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov. However, I would expect Robin Lehner to be in net and that 3.44 expected goal total to go down once that switch is updated across the industry.

Las Vegas One – William Karlsson, Reilly Smith, Max Pacioretty

The Las Vegas Golden Knights were absolute fire the other night, and it makes sense to go back to the well at home. It’s the same old story with the Toronto Maple Leafs, as they can both score and give up goals with the best of them. The second line is certainly in play as well as Cody Eakin provides value whereas Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault aren’t bad ways to spend your money. However, the top line gives us some balance in terms of price and skill. This line left points on the board during their commanding 6-0 victory over the Calgary Flames Sunday night. Despite William Karlsson scoring two goals and an assist and Max Pacioretty ending up with a goal and an assist, Reilly Smith hit the crossbar twice on potential full line goals. It’s safe to say there has been some instant chemistry for this newly formed line. Teams usually like what happens in Vegas, to stay in Vegas; particularly given just how dominant the Knights have been at home.

San Jose Two – Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier, Barclay Goodrow

The last time that I listed the two Sharks lines, it ended being the top line going off, buoyed by a big night from Kevin Labanc. However, this line’s night is coming and perhaps this is the moment. I would imagine that they won’t be seeing too much of Conor McDavid and the Edmonton top line. San Jose two is one of the hottest lines in the NHL right now so let’s just wide the wave. The Sharks are projected for 3.51 goals and I think the total on this game should rise throughout the day for both sides. It makes for a perfect game stack.

Edmonton One – Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Kassian

The cutoff above makes for the perfect segway into my final stack of the night. Projected for a mere 2.99 goals, Connor McDavid and friends present a contrarian version of the hammer as opposed to the more popular options listed above. The Sharks are no defensive wizards. In fact, that’s a bit of an understatement considering San Jose has allowed 73 goals this season, good for second-worst in the NHL. Clearly, the main two pieces are McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. I don’t have to tell you much about them. This is the type of spot they can troll hard and come up with another big game after hours.

Frederik Anderson – Over 29.5 Saves – No matter which Las Vegas line Frederick Anderson is dealing with, pretty sure the house wins.

Connor McDavid – Over 5.5 Fantasy Points He stills haunts my dreams after his six-point outing last week. I wouldn’t full fade “McGod” again.

11/17 NHL – Main Slate – Two Game Slate

Top Two Lines

Buffalo One – Jack Eichel, Victor Olofsson, Sam Reinhart

In the aftermath of Jack Eichel’s big night, this line should be major chalk. I prefer the two-man of Eichel and Sam Reinhart personally, as Victor Olofsson has not done much. The Sabres are actually underdogs and only projected for 2.76 points on the back to back. However, I don’t think that will stop people from rostering Eichel and friends on a two-game slate. Corey Crawford will be in net for the Blackhawks and he has been a lot shakier than Robin Lehner this season.

Las Vegas Golden Knight Top Two Lines

The Las Vegas Golden Knights usually find a way to come through at home and this should be no exception against the underachieving Calgary Flames. I like both lines and recently it has been the second line getting the most ownership. I think that they have the most upside if forced to choose but they also cost more comparatively on the two sites. Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong with Vegas. They are projected for a slate high of 3.46 goals.

11/17 NHL DraftKings Rankings

DraftKings Top Three Forwards/Centers

  1. Jack Eichel – Buffalo Sabres – $7,000
  2. Mark Stone – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $6,300

  1. Marc Andre-Fleury – Las Vegas Golden Knights – $8,000

Jack Eichel – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points – Since ownership is irrelevant on Monkey Knife Point, there is no need to fade Eichel.

William Karlsson – Over 3.5 Fantasy Points The Vegas top line has been rolling lately so I don’t mind turning to William Karlsson with the Knights at home.

11/16 NHL – Main Slate

Top Three Lines

Florida One – Aleksander Barkov, Evgenii Dadonov, Jonathan Huberdeau

The Rangers were nothing short of a hot mess Thursday night, as they surrendered nine goals to the Lighting. Both Rangers goalies were pulled and swapped over the course of that disaster. As their defensive woes continue, Florida should be in a good spot to feast at home. While the Panthers disappointed the other night this is a very solid matchup. I would just stick to the full top line and not try to be cute. The Panthers come in a -220 favorite and I would expect them to win in a higher scoring affair with multiple goals on each side.

Buffalo One – Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart, Victor Olofsson

Craig Anderson has been the weaker of the two Ottawa goalies this season and Buffalo should be able to get to him. The Senators come in to Buffalo on a back to back and the Sabres should be able to take advantage of their weary legs. Outside of Jack Eichel, the other two are cheap on both sites, making them extremely affordable. All three have power play correlation as well. Buffalo is a solid but unspectacular -180 favorite. I would once again just stick to the top line as Rasmus Dahlin, the most likely add on if looking to put together a power play build, has gone cold. Overall, I would hope Eichel and company can take care of business here.

Sharks – Tomas Hertl/Timo Meier Combo or Evander Kane/Kevin Labanc/Logan Couture

I already listed two early games so for all the late night people, here is the hammer you were looking for. Detroit with it’s league leading 78 goals allowed will travel to the west coast and the Sharks ostensibly should crush here. I think you can opt for either one of the two options above and add in a corresponding defenseman whether Brent Burns or Erik Karlsson if you wish. The Sharks are on average a -210 favorite and the total on this game will likely climb throughout the day.

Honorable Mention “Punt Value:: Nashville Three – Nick Bonino, Craig Smith, Rocco Grimaldi

Brent Burns > Timo Meier +1.5 – Shots on Goal Plus Blocks – Brent Burns had not been shooting at quite the same pace as in year’s past but has recently picked it up. You have to like his floor against Timo Meier, particularly with blocked shots one of the two categories. The 1.5 edge awarded to Meier should prove to be inconsequential.

Nikita Kucherov – Over 4.5 Fantasy Points In case you want a little bit of early action, I like this bet a lot. Nikita Kucherov has just began to heat up but the Fantasy Point threshold has yet to adjust as we only need a meager 4.5 Fantasy Points from him.
