NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/29

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/29. The Model had another positive night going 2-1. The only loss was the Wild -1.5 which was our calculated risk play at +172. They held 2-0 and 3-1 leads before ultimately losing 4-3. They run it back again tonight, will I take it again? The Golden Knights looked great against the Avs and then the Sharks/Coyotes played a 4-2 game which hit our over of 5.5. Although, it was 3-1 at the end of 1 so they made us sweat it only getting to 6 goals. We take our 2-1 night and move on to Thursday.

We have 10 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

Dashboard Edges

  • Lightning Money Line (-162) over the Stars
  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, +220) over the Islanders
  • Bruins Money Line (-400) over the Sabres
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-400) over the Red Wings
  • Wild Puck Line (-1.5, +170) and Money Line (-148) over the Blues
  • Panthers Money Line (-162) over the Blackhawks
  • Oilers Puck Line (-1.5, +175) and Money Line (-141) over the Flames

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Penguins/Capitals Over 5.5 (-115): Honestly shocked this over/under was 5.5, could be attributed to Ovechkin or their recent forms. However the Pens came off games against the Bruins (stingy defense) and the Caps with the Isles (also stingy defense). There are other overs at 5.5 with more juice and I like this one the most of them all. The Caps are 2nd in the league on overs and average 6.43 total goals/game. The Pens are no slouches either averaging 6.16 total goals/game. Both teams over win % increases in their current environment tonight, so we are riding this one.

Wild ML (-135): Same logic as yesterday, but a little more conservative just rolling with the money line tonight. I’ve seen this line as high as -158 so I really like the value I am getting here at -135. The Wild were the better team yesterday and gave up a couple stupid goals. Dead even in Corsi and Fenwick in their game yesterday, the Wild had a 61% Scoring Chance percentage and led in Expected Goals 2.53 – 1.58. I like them to win this back-to-back, would be even better if we got Husso in net for STL, although with the Blues in a playoff push I assume they will ride Bing again tonight.

BetMGM

BetMGM is offering an NBA odds boost for today, which is Knicks to win all 4 Quarters, boosted from +600 to +800. The Knicks are 4 point favorites against the Bulls tonight.

Recommendation: I would not recommend this odds boost at all. The Knicks are inconsistent on offense at times, and when you’re betting them to win every quarter, it doesn’t make much sense. Matching up with the Bulls who have potent scorers like Zach Lavine and Coby White doesn’t help their case either, as these two can put up insane numbers at any time.

Sign up for BetMGM now for a risk free bet up to $600, paid in free bets!

FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel is offering odds boosts in NBA, MLB, Golf, and Soccer.

NBA:

  • Either Washington or LA Lakers to Score 40+ points in any quarter is boosted from +310 to +400
  • Devin Booker to Score 25+ Points and Phoenix to win (v LA Clippers) is boosted from +150 to +180
  • Julius Randle and Nikola Vucevic to Each Score 25+ Points is boosted from +270 to +330

MLB:

  • Jacob DeGrom to record 11+ Strikeouts and Mets to Win (v Red Sox) is boosted from +160 to +200
  • Mookie Betts, Justin Turner, and Chris Taylor ALL to Record a Hit and Dodgers to Win (v Reds) is boosted from +264 to +300

Golf:

  • Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, and Max Homa to All Make the Cut (Valspar Championship) is boosted from +125 to +170

Soccer:

  • 4+ Total Goals Scored in PSG v Man City is boosted from +195 to +230

Recommendation: The only odds boost i recommend is Devin Booker to score 25+ points and the Suns to win. Booker is one of the better scorers in the league and has shown time in and time out that he can pop off in an instant. The Clippers do have a tough defense, but they are without defensive guard Pat Beverly tonight, also having Batum and Kawhi under a game-time decision, so you can assume they aren’t 100%. The Suns are finally home after a rough after 5 games straight on the road. Phoenix is a top team in the West and they are going to come out and put on a show in front of their home crowd tonight.

Sign Up for FanDuel now to claim you risk free bet up to $1000!

DraftKings Sportsbook

DraftKings is offering odds boosts in Soccer, MLB, NBA, and NHL.

Soccer: Kylian Mbappe to Score 2+ Goals & PSG to Win is boosted from +1600 to +1730

MLB: Bryce Harper to Hit a Home Run & Phillies to Win is boosted from +600 to +715

NBA: Nikola Vucevic and Julius Randle to combine for 20+ rebounds is boosted from -147 to -121

NHL: Nathan MacKinnon to record over 1.5 points and Avalanche to win is boosted from +320 to +360

Recommendations: The only odds boosts I recommend here is Vucevic and Randle to combine for 20 rebounds. They both average 10 rebounds, and have both grabbed 10+ rebounds in 3 out of their last 4 games.

Sign Up for DraftKings now to get a deposit bonus up to $1000!

William Hill

William Hill is offering odds boosts for NBA, MLB, NHL and Soccer.

NBA:

  • Joel Embiid To Score 35 Or More Points And Philadelphia 76ers To Win +400
  • Hawks At 76ers – Each Quarter To Have Over 50 Points +400
  • Bulls, Cubs, & White Sox All Win +850
  • 76ers, Knicks, Grizzlies, & Pelicans All Win +850
  • Reggie Jackson To Score 15 Or More Points And Los Angeles Clippers To Win +500
  • Chris Paul To Score 25 Or More Points And Phoenix Suns To Win +900
  • Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies All Win +750
  • Bradley Beal To Score The First Points Of The Game +650
  • Anthony Davis To Score 25 Or More Points And Los Angeles Lakers To Win +400
  • Wizards & Nationals Both Win +450

MLB:

  • Max Muncy To Hit A Home Run And Los Angeles Dodgers To Win +600
  • Reds Win by 4 or More Runs vs. Dodgers +750
  • Eugenio Suarez To Hit A Home Run And Cincinnati Reds To Win +1200
  • Athletics, Braves, & Phillies All Win +950
  • Padres, Astros, & Rangers All Win +475
  • Cardinals 2-1 Win vs. Phillies +4000
  • Ian Happ To Hit A Home Run And Chicago Cubs To Win +700
  • Freddie Freeman To Hit A Home Run And Atlanta Braves To Win +550

NHL:

  • J.T. Miller or Drake Batherson To Score First Goal +600
  • Bo Horvat To Score First And Vancouver Canucks To Win in 60 mins +1600
  • Evander Kane To Score First And San Jose Sharks To Win in 60 mins +2200
  • Michael Bunting or Clayton Keller To Score First Goal +800
  • Canadiens, Jets, & Kings All Win +700
  • Wild Win by 3 or More Goals vs. Blues +400

Soccer:

  • Kevin De Bruyne To Score Anytime +250
  • Kylian Mbappe To Score First +550
  • PSG Shutout Win vs. Man City +575

Recommendations: There are tons of options to pick from, but the odds boost that I recommend is Freddie Freeman to hit a HR and Braves to win, Freddie Freeman is batting .253 against righties and has 5 HR as well. Freeman was the NL MVP last year, and I think it’s ok to put a little trust in him tonight, facing a struggling Kyle Hendricks who has a 5.68 ERA and allowing 7 HR in only 4 games.

Sign up for William Hill now for a risk free bet up to $500!

PointsBet

PointsBet is offering one NBA odds boost, which is Anthony Davis to Score 25+ Points, boosted from +155 to +180.

Recommendations: I recommend taking this boost. Anthony Davis is finding his groove again after being out for months. He scored 17 and 18 in his last 2 outings, but I expect him to play a little more today and moving forward. Wizards are home to the worst defense in the league, so this should be a good game for Davis to try and get the ball through the bucket as much as he can to prepare for the upcoming playoffs.

Sign Up for PointsBet now for a $500 match bet!

There are tons of odds boosts offered across many platforms today. I recommend; Devin Booker to Score 25+ Points and Phoenix to win +180 (FanDuel), Nikola Vucevic and Julius Randle to combine for 20+ rebounds -121 (DraftKings), Freddie Freeman To Hit A Home Run And Atlanta Braves To Win +550 (William Hill), and Anthony Davis to Score 25+ Points +180 (PointsBet). Thank you for reading my article, best of luck to all those participating in these odds boosts!

NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 4/28

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 4/28. The Model had a monster night going 3-1. The only loss was the Isles who lost a 1-0 game to the Caps who scored on the first shot of the game. No offense for them, could be a problem come playoffs. The two overs hit with ease with both games ending up 7-4. And the Hurricanes did exactly what I thought and bounced back in a big way from their loss on Monday with a 5-1 domination of Dallas. It feels good when we get pretty much everything right. Let’s keep it rolling today.

We have 7 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Senators Puck Line (+1.5, -250) over the Canucks
  • Senators/Canucks Under (6, -124)
  • Wild Money Line (-148) and Puck Line (-1.5, +172) over the Blues
  • Maple Leafs Money Line (-148) over the Canadiens
  • Maple Leafs/Canadiens Under (6, -108)
  • Golden Knights Money Line (-132) over the Avalanche
  • Kings Money Line (-159) over the Ducks

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Sharks/Coyotes Over 5.5 (-110): I expect the net to get pounded tonight in the Sharks and Coyotes game. Neither team has solid goatending, especially if the Coyotes roll with Adin Hill tonight. The Sharks average 6.21 total goals/game, and the Yotes are at 5.88. Both teams are > 50% on their overs this year, and these teams have even more goals in their environment tonight (Yotes 6 goals/game on the road, Sharks 6.32 at home). Not too much juice and love rooting for some goals.

Golden Knights ML (-136): Vegas is currently rolling right now. The Avs are a little banged up with Rantanen injured and Grubauer just activated from COVID list but probably not playing tonight. Vegas is currently sporting a 9-game win streak and while all good things eventually come to an end I don’t see that happening tonight. On 3 days rest too, with the Avs coming off back-to-back losses to St. Louis, look for Vegas to get 10 straight tonight.

Wild -1.5 (+172): This one is a bit of a risk, but calculated nonetheless. The Wild are on an unreal run of 5 straight puck line hits. And the Blues have just beat the Avs in back-to-back games. The Wild have a good rest spot here with their last game on Saturday (Blues was Monday). The Wild have one of the best puck line profits this year (12.67) and the Blues one of the worst (-15.67). The value on this is too good to pass up so we are riding.

NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 4/27

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 4/27. The Model got absolutely obliterated last night. 0-4. An overtime loss, a one goal loss, and an over that miss by a half goal. The only bad L was the Ducks and that was only a half unit play for the value. It happens but it still stings. That is what happened when I take a weekend off, pretty sure it happened last month. It’s also that weird time of year when you can’t really tell what certain teams are playing for and those games have some risk (Sens last night). We move on to Tuesday, as always Trust the Process.

We have 8 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Flyers Money Line (-132) over the Devils
  • Flyers/Devils Over (6, -113)
  • Red Wings Money Line (+123) and Puck Line (+1.5, -220) over the Blue Jackets
  • Penguins Money Line (+100) over the Bruins
  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, -120) and Money Line (-295) over the Sabres
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-125) over the Stars
  • Stars/Hurricanes Under (5.5, -117)

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. We are waiting for confirmation on goalies before we lock in the Preds/Panthers over. We are only taking it if we get a Bobrovsky/Rinne goaltending matchup.

My Picks

Islanders ML (+108): This one is pretty simple. These teams are relatively evenly matched at full-strength, but the Caps are without Ovi tonight. Yet for some reason the Isles are still plus money. The Isles have sputtered a little bit as of late, but Trotz always seems to coach against his former team well. They have lost 2 straight against them and I doubt they lose a 3rd. I think the Isles get it done tonight and with the plus money, we are getting some great value here.

Blackhawks/Lightning Over 5.5 (-130): The Lightning score a lot of goals and the Blackhawks are pretty good at giving them up. Getting this at the 5.5 makes me like this a lot, even if it is a little juicy. The Lightning are 50% on their overs and the Blackhawks are 48%. But at home the Lightning are 60% and the Blackhawks are 52%, so both even better in the current environment of tonight’s matchup. Also the Lightning average 6.13 goals/game on the road and the Blackhawks average 6.22 goals/game at home, so we love this play tonight.

Hurricanes ML (-125): Running it back with the Canes tonight. Same logic as yesterday, but we have the better goaltender tonight (Ned). Carolina coming off of a loss, and they are the better team even though they are a little banged up so is Dallas. The Stars do not have a significant home ice advantage and the Canes are rather good on the road. Feeling good about a comeback tonight.

We’re back with another Tuesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Tonight we have a large 8-game slate ahead of us. We are now past the trade deadline so we will be seeing some new faces on some teams. With that in mind, there are lots of interesting plays to cover tonight, so let’s get right into it. Get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 4/27 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:00 pm ET, so don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

4/27 NHL Stack Report

  1. Florida Panthers 2
    Huberdeau – Bennett – Duclair (FanDuel: $15,000 | DraftKings: $14,600)
This line has been sneaky, but each member of this line has been producing for a while now, and it’s time for us to get on board before their prices soar. These players have all performed well individually but have truly harmonized as a complete line now that they’ve been paired together. Bennett has finally found his groove on his new team, just like Duclair did many games ago, now paired with a bonafide league star in Jonathan Huberdeau, this line is ready to go. They have a nice implied total at 3.1 and are facing a Preds team who has had some injury troubles, are starting their backup goalie and has been plagued with inconsistency.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Mackenzie Weegar (FD: $4,300 | DK: $4,100)
  2. New York Rangers 1
    Buchnevich – Zibanejad – Lafrenier (FanDuel: $18,500 | DraftKings: $18,400)
    – There is no question that this line will be the play of the slate. The Rangers are a white-hot team, and their top line is a white-hot line, and their opponents, the Buffalo Sabers, are quite the opposite and have been for a long time. This game is such a mismatch, and I wouldn’t be shocked if the score gets a bit out of hand. Buffalo is even starting their third-string goalie! With a Norris calibre Defenseman in Adam Fox, this line has all the weapons they need to perform tonight. On top of all of this, the Rangers hold the highest implied goals total on the slate at 3.8.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Adam Fox (FD: $6,200 | DK: $7,100)

    Honorable Mention(s): WSH2, TBL1, CHI1, BOS1, PIT1

4/27 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Spencer Knight (FD: $7,700 | DK: $8,100)
  2. Igor Shesterkin (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,300)

Honorable Mention(s): Vasilevskiy, Khudobin, Bernier, Lankinen

Worst

  1. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (FD: $6,800 | DK: $6,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Rinne, Merzlikins

4/27 NHL Wild Card Targets

Alex Barre-Boulet (FD: $3,400 | DK: $2,700)
– Barre-Boulet hasn’t had a stellar season, but following the injury to Stamkos, he’s now found himself in a prime position to produce alongside team point leaders in Brayden Point and Victor Hedman. He is also seeing top power-play time and made good on his coach’s decision to move him up there by potting in a power-play goal last game. There is always a level of risk when playing young, unproven players, but Barre-Boulet is in a fantastic spot.
Honorable Mention(s): Robertson, Vrana, Hinostroza, Trocheck

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Sam Bennett/Mika Zibanejad

Winger Jason Robertson

Defence Dougie Hamilton

Goalie Spencer Knight

NHL Betting Picks Monday 4/26

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 4/26. The Model is finally back after a long weekend at grad school! A solid weekend of hockey with a lot of goals yesterday. A couple picks I had Wed/Thurs that didn’t hit (Rangers -1.5 and Isles/Caps over 5.5), hit with ease in their next matchups on Fri/Sat. If the research is there and it didn’t hit the first time, chances are it will hit in the rematch. Flyers had a great comeback last night that salvaged an over that looked dead with 2 minutes left in the game.

We have 8 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard 1

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Senators Puck Line (+1.5, -245) over the Canucks
  • Senators/Canucks Under (6, -110)
  • Canadiens/Flames Under (5.5, -114)
  • Avalanches Money Line (-155) and Puck Line (-1.5, +148) over the Blues
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-120) over the Stars
  • Kings Money Line (-160) over the Ducks
  • Coyotes/Sharks Over (5.5, -110)

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Hurricanes ML (-120): The Hurricanes have been rolling of late and have a pretty good line today against Dallas. They have won 5 of 6 games against Dallas this season and supporting an 18 unit advantage on the ML this season. I’m guessing this line is assuming Reimer is in net instead of Ned, but even with Reimer I still like this number. Especially because Oettinger is confirmed for Dallas. We ride with Carolina tonight.

Canucks ML (-124): The Canucks have seemed to figure it out post-COVID break, going 3-1-0 in their 4 games since they returned. They have a back-to-back Wednesday/Thursday this week so I am more inclined to take them tonight as opposed to later in the week. They have more talent than the Senators and should handle their business tonight.

Kings/Ducks Over 5.5 (+110): We are back on the plus money overs, they are way too enticing. The reason we are getting plus money here is strictly because of the Ducks. 5.44 total goals/game and only hitting on 37.5% of their overs. However the Kings average 5.69 goals/game and hit on 55.6% of their overs. They are 2-2 on overs this season against each other. Both teams give up over 3 goals/game and at this value we like this play tonight.

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for a Monday night and we have a 7 game slate to break down!

Tonight we have a 7 game slate that focuses around the West division with 6 of their 8 teams in action as well as two potentially high-scoring games from the North division as well. Lastly, we have a possible playoff matchup with Florida traveling to Nashville, and from the same Central division, Carolina is in Dallas as the Stars try to get themselves into the playoffs. Colorado is playing St. Louis for the fourth game in a row and is coming off a disastrous game where they blew a 3-0 lead so we knew they will want to come out flying. There are a ton of pay-up spots tonight with McDavid, Draisaitl, Mackinnon, Barkov, and some of the high-priced Jets on the slate as well.

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

Cash Game Goalie:

Braden Holtby ($8,000/$7,100)

Holtby could be the chalk option of the night in a matchup with Ottawa. It also helps that both sites priced him down for this matchup, especially FanDuel. Holtby has been on a roll since the Canucks have returned from their COVID break. In his last three starts, Holtby is 3-0 with 7 goals allowed and made 100 saves on 107 shots in that span. Included in his modest win streak Holtby defeated the Senators stopping 26 of 28 shots faced.

Other Cash Options: Jonas Johansson ($8,400/$8,700), James Reimer ($8,300/$8,500)

GPP Goalie:

John Gibson ($7,100/$6,600)

And it’s been awhile since I wrote up John Gibson” (sung like the Staind song “It’s Been a While”. Gibson is one of, if not, my favorite goalies in the entire league, I think he is extremely talented and it also helps he’s American. He is just on the West coast on a terrible team so he doesn’t get the love he deserves. Tonight he gets the Kings in Hollywood, and oddly enough Gibson has been great on the road in 2021. Gibson has averaged 17.5 DK points and 23 FD points per game in his last 9 away games this season. Another reason I love Gibby tonight is that LA loves to shoot the puck, and Anaheim loves to allow shots on goal. Gibson is averaging 32.6 saves per game in his last 5 and could easily hit the 35 save bonus on DK.

Other GPP Options: Mike Smith ($7,600/$8,100), Juuse Saros ($7,300/$7,600), Darcy Kuemper ($7,800/$6,800) – GREAT play on FD, a little price for DK.

NHL DFS: Slate Overview

Can the Stars shine through as a Hurricane bears down in Dallas?

Dallas’ top line projects to me as one of the lines with the safest floors as well as having an incredibly high ceiling. Now, like with last week when I wrote them up it is all reliant on Roope Hintz ($6,100/$6,400) deciding if he’s a hockey player or basketball player tonight. This top line is not overly expensive and will come in at low ownership because we have Edmonton, Colorado, Florida, and Winnipeg in great spots on this slate. Even Carolina on the other side of this matchup is in a great spot and makes this game an interesting game stack candidate to get off the chalkier Edm/Wpg game stack.

Desert Dogs swim in the shark tank

Arizona is one of my favorite teams on this slate outside of the chalk teams I’ve already mentioned. In four games against the Sharks this season, Arizona is 3-1 and has scored 4.25 goals per game against San Jose this season. My top line for the Yotes on this slate is the second line, namely Phil Kessel ($4,200/$5,700) and Christian Dvorak ($4,000/$4,200). You can throw Clayton Keller ($3,600/$5,500) in for a PP2 stack in place of Lawson Crouse if you have the salary. If you are playing the Coyotes tonight, you HAVE to play Jakob Chychrun ($6,500/$5,200). Chychrun is on the top PP unit, but he will see time with the 2nd line as well. I am warning you all now, if you show me lineups in discord and you DON’T have Chychrun with your Coyotes stacks I am going to tell you it’s a bad build!

Lets go clearance rack shopping!

There are so many pay-up spots tonight that we will need to find some value to make those top-line stacks work. Steven Lorentz ($2,500/$3,200) (as of this writing) is skating on the Hurricanes’ top line with Aho and Svechnikov. We have seen his TOI almost double from his season average of late to where he is playing over 11 minutes a game now and has 3 points in his last 5 games. Sam Bennett’s ($3,800/$3,700) price has slowly been rising as his production does. Florida2 is a borderline value-stack tonight but either way, I have a lot of interest in them tonight. Both of St. Louis’s first and second lines are on my radar tonight, especially since they are fighting for the playoff lives sitting on the outside looking in currently.

If you want to go with the Avs or Oilers tonight in large field or multi-entry GPP tournaments you can look to their secondary scoring. I really like the 2nd and 3rd lines for Colorado tonight as a pivot off the MacKinnon line. McDavid is now skating with Jesse Puljujarvi ($4,400/$3,800) and Dominik Kahun ($2,500/$3,400) which makes them a semi-value stack. I like the idea of pairing them with either Nurse or Barrie in GPP’s to get exposure to McDavid without paying his high salary and hoping he just nets two assists and each of his linemates score.

NHL DFS: Defensemen Rankings

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

4/24 NHL Stack Report

  1. Florida Panthers 1
    Gusev – Barkov – Hornqvist (FanDuel: $17,000 | DraftKings: $18,500)
This top line has been absolutely firing as of late as we head down into the final few games before the playoffs. Despite losing their last game this line has not cooled down, having been involved in both goals in the 4-2 loss. This line is led by Florida’s leading goalscorer Aleksander Barkov, along with a consistent producer in Hornqvist and the new signee Gusev who seems to have taken really well to his new top line roll in Florida, scoring three assists in his last four. Florida has a decent expected goals total at an even 3 and make a great fit for a GPP line. If you need a safer option for a cash game I would recommend TOR1 with their newest edition, Nick Foligno.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Mackenzie Weegar (FD: $4,000 | DK: $3,500)
  2. Vegas Golden Knights 1
    Stone – Stephenson – Pacioretty (FanDuel: $19,900 | DraftKings: $21,000)
    – There’s really not a lot to say about this line, their FanDuel price is a little hilarious and they are in one of the best spots on the slate tonight. Coming in on an 8 game winning streak while they’re opponents have embarked on a three game losing streak is definitely an enviable position, it’s even more favourable when you have the divisional leaders facing off against the last placed team in the division. Vegas has been pushed along through many games this season, solely by this line and their point totals over this eight game win streak have been unreal. Stephenson and Martinez have averaged close to a point per game while Stone and Pacioretty have averaged nearly two points per game in their recent matchups. That’s top level production. Not to mention, Vegas holds the highest expected goals total at 3.5 on tonight’s slate.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Alec Martinez (FD: $4,600 | DK: $6,200)

    Honorable Mention(s): TOR1, CAR2, OTT1

4/24 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Marc-Andre Fleury (FD: $8,600 | DK: $8,500)
  2. Cayden Primeau (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,500)

Honorable Mention(s): Kahkhonen, Campbell, Khudobin, Demko

Worst

  1. Jonathan Bernier (FD: $6,700 | DK: $6,900)
Honorable Mention(s): Gibson, Murray, Domingue, Quick, Jones

4/24 NHL Wild Card Targets

Jakub Vrana (FD: $5,200 | DK: $4,100)
– Vrana has gelled really well since coming to motown and he’s provided a glimmer of hope for the future as the Wings parted ways with Mantha. Vrana has managed to put up 6 points in only four games with the wings, including a spectacular four-goal performance en route to a 7-3 barn burner over the Dallas Stars. Now, I don’t expect the Wings to win tonight, I rarely ever do but wild card plays are all about looking for potential and finding those interesting options that the average player might not consider. Jakub Vrana definitely fits that bill.

Honorable Mention(s): Kaprizov, Robertson, Mantha, Copp

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Aleksander Barkov

Winger Jason Robertson

Defence Dougie Hamilton

Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury

NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/22

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 4/22. The Model had just one play last night and it barely lost. The under was looking great all game. 1 goal in the 1st, 2 goals in the 2nd, and then the 3rd period screwed us. 4 goals including a couple of late Edmonton goals who ended up losing 4-3 and having us not hit that under. That happens, it’s hockey, we are on to Thursday.

We have 10 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard Edges

  • Jets Money Line (+118) and Puck Line (+1.5, -225) over the Maple Leafs
  • Lightning Money Line (-278) over the Blue Jackets
  • Penguins Money Line (-295) over the Devils
  • Bruins Money Line (-305) over the Sabres
  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5,+148) over the Flyers
  • Red Wings Money Line (+155) over the Stars
  • Senators Puck Line (+1.5, -200) over the Canucks

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. I never take more than -200 lines ever but I see quite an edge on the Jets Puck Line (+1.5, -225) for people that want as close to a sure thing as possible. The Leafs are reeling and horrible at covering -1.5 while the Jets are really good at covering +1.5.

My Picks

Rangers -1.5 (+158): A bit of a value play here. The Rangers were humbled in their last game by the Islanders after going on a 4 game domination of the Devils. The Flyers are coming off back-to-back losses to the Isles and Caps, but haven’t played since Sunday. The Rangers have the puck line edge significantly here, winning over half of their -1.5 games this year (55.6%). The Flyers are not good at covering +1.5 either (61.9%, 21st in the League). I like the Rangers to continue their dominance in this spot and cover the puck line.

Avalanche ML (-150): This is a little risky but teams coming off COVID breaks for whatever reason have done pretty well. The Avs are rarely ever priced this low, a combination of COVID and no Grubauer or Rantanen definitely plays into that. Dubnyk has not been a good goalie for the last couple of years but he also hasn’t played in front of a defense as good as the Avs. I look for MacKinnon and Makar to run the show tonight and sneak out a win against a disappointing St. Louis team tonight.

Capitals/Islanders Over 5.5 (-110): The Islanders are dragging this line down although I didn’t think we’d get it at 5.5 for such little juice. The Caps are averaging the highest total goals/game in the league (6.61) and second highest over win percentage (60.9%). And while the Isles sport one of the lowest total goals/game (5.20) they have been able to put up some goals (2.89 GF/game). The Caps score a lot but also give up more than 3 goals/game. At this number we really like this play a lot.

NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 4/21

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 4/21. The Model had a monster night going 3-0, including our 2u winner with the Pens 1P -0.5 hitting easily at they went to the break up 4-0! The Canes handled the Lightning in the second game of their back-to-back, and the Bruins made us sweat a little but covered their puck line with a 2-0 win. The most unreal thing about last night was if you had Pens -1.5 that looked like the best play of the night with the Pens going up 6-0, only to end up winning 7-6 and the Devils covering the +1.5. Un-real.

We have 4 games on the NHL slate tonight, pretty weak. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

Dashboard Edges

  • Wild Money Line (-162) and Puck Line (-1.5, +160) over the Coyotes
  • Wild/Coyotes Over (5.5, +105)
  • Predators Money Line (-127) over the Blackhawks
  • Oilers Money Line (-137) over the Canadiens
  • Oilers/Canadiens Under (5.5, +100)
  • Golden Knights Money Line (-250) over the Sharks

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Oilers/Canadiens Under 6 (-120): Just one play today that has some edge, but a serious edge at that. The Habs and Oilers have played 6 times this year and under 6 goals is 5-0-1 in those 6 meetings. Even better, these teams rank amongst the worst in the league in hitting their overs (both under 39%). Even with McDavid and Draisaitl, the Habs have sneakily one of the best defenses in the league and desperately need a win tonight. We like the under in this spot.
