5/5 NHL Stack Report

  1. Colorado Avalanche 1
    Landeskog – MacKinnon – Rantanen (FanDuel: $24,700 | DraftKings: $25,100)
It’s tough to ignore this line tonight, even with their hefty price tag. MacKinnon will be the chalky player of the slate and rightfully so, considering they’re up against the Sharks, who will most likely be fielding their backup goalie Josef Kornear (2-4-0 in the NHL this season) after an abysmal 5 GA performance from their start Martin Jones… against the Avalanche. In that game, this line combined for two goals and four assists. It would stand to reason that they will be able to produce a similar result tonight, especially with the highest implied totals on the slate by far at 3.9.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Cale Makar (FD: $5,800 | DK: $7,000)
  2. Montreal Canadiens 2
    Toffoli – Suzuki – Armia (FanDuel: $15,400 | DraftKings: $16,200)
    – This line just can’t stop scoring (well, Toffoli and Suzuki mainly). They’ve put up insane numbers over their past seven games and are facing off tonight against one of the worst goalies in the NHL. Now, although Ottawa has proven to give the Canadiens some problems this season, it is safe to say that this line will connect yet again. Their implied total is currently set at 3.1, which still seems rather low considering the goalie they’ll be up against lets in an average of 3.74 goals per game and has a save percentage of .876… yikes. Furthermore, Ottawa take a ton of penalties and don’t have a strong enough penalty kill to avoid keeping the puck out of their net on those odd-man opportunities
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Jeff Petry (FD: $5,400 | DK: $5,900)

    Honorable Mention(s): NYR1, STL1, VGK2

5/5 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Juuse Saros (FD: $7,600 | DK: $8,300)
  2. Jake Allen (FD: $7,700 | DK: $8,000)

    Honorable Mention(s): Hellebuyck, Kuemper, Binnington

Worst

  1. Marcus Hogberg (FD: $6,600 | DK: $7,200)
    Honorable Mention(s): Merzlikins, Korenar, Gibson

5/5 NHL Wild Card Targets

Kirill Kaprizov (FD: $6,600 | DK: $6,400)
– Kirill is determined to hold on to his claim to the Calder Trophy and has recently been putting in a lot of work to keep Robertson at bay. With four points over his last three, he has been converting his chances while Dallas has been struggling to keep up as of late, possibly costing them a playoff spot as we head into the final stretch of games. The secret to Kaprizov’s success is the number of scoring chances he gets. He’s averaged four shots on goal per game over his last ten and has managed to convert those chances into goals with some regularity. Even on the nights when they don’t go in, his shooting can get you enough points to salvage him as a DFS play. Vegas’ starter Marc-Andre Fleury has yet to record a win in three games against the Wild this season, and in the most recent two of those three, Kaprizov has scored.
Honorable Mention(s): Batherson, Burakovsky, Robertson

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Zibanejad or MacKinnon

Winger Tyler Toffoli

Defence Jeff Petry

Goalie Juuse Saros

We’re back with another Tuesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Tonight we have a massive 13-game slate ahead of us. As we’ll see below, so many teams are in stellar matchups tonight. With that in mind, there are lots of interesting plays to cover tonight, so let’s get right into it. Get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 5/1 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:00 pm ET, so don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

5/1 NHL Stack Report

  1. Florida Panthers 2
    Huberdeau – Bennett – Tippett (FanDuel: $14,500 | DraftKings: $15,700)
This line is still a great play and in the last article they came through for us in a big way, each member of this line has been producing for a while now, and we can still hop on before their prices truly rise. As I mentioned last slate, these players have all performed well individually but have truly harmonized as a complete line now that they’ve been paired together. Bennett has finally found his groove on his new team, and Tippett has found some success when given the opportunity to play on top lines, now paired with a bonafide league star in Jonathan Huberdeau, this line is ready to go. They have a great implied total at 3.6 and are facing a Chicago team who are starting the struggling Malcolm Subban in net. Florida is in a solid spot here.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Mackenzie Weegar (FD: $4,100 | DK: $5,100)
  2. Toronto Maple Leafs 1
    Marner – Matthews – Foligno (FanDuel: $20,400 | DraftKings: $21,500)
    – There are soooo many top lines on this slate and it was honestly difficult to pick just one but throughout the season this line has been the most consistent by a significant margin, led by the league’s top goal scorer Auston Matthews. Today is a big slate so feel free to be different in GPPs but in Cash, you’ll see ownership numbers populate around the league’s best. Considering this line still performed really well, even with one of their players taking a maintenance day I can see another successful slate for Toronto’s best. Stats-wise, they really have an upper hand in this matchup. For starters, Toronto has neutralized Vancouver in Scotiabank Arena this season, two of the three top-line players are in the top six in league scoring, they have one of the best odds on the slate and are tied for the highest implied total at an insane 3.9 implied goals for.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Jake Muzzin (FD: $4,000 | DK: $5,000)

    Honorable Mention(s): COL1 (great goalie matchup), CAR1 (against Columbus…), EDM1(It’s a McDavid Day), OTT1 (still haven’t been shutout), NYR1

5/1 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jack Campbell (FD: $8,100 | DK: $8,400)
  2. Alex Nedeljkovic (FD: $8,500 | DK: $8,500)

Honorable Mention(s): Primeau, Knight (if he plays)

Worst

  1. Malcolm Subban (FD: $7,000 | DK: $7,400)
Honorable Mention(s): Merzlikins, Miller, Dubnyk, Korenar, Demko, Hogberg

5/1 NHL Wild Card Targets

Jason Robertson (FD: $5,200 | DK: $6,200)
– Jason has now made up some serious ground on Kaprizov for rookie of the year as he only sits two points behind now. Robertson has benefitted tremendously from his strong linemates Pavelski and Hintz who have all had amazing chemistry all season. Robertson was on a nine-game point streak prior to his team getting shut out by Tampa last game. Although Saros has been decent this season, he did cough up six last games against the Panthers. Another huge factor is the playoff implications involved in this game. Nashville and Dallas are battling hard for that final playoff spot and currently, Nashville sits two points ahead while Dallas has the game in hand, so if Dallas wins they’ll move into the fourth and final playoff spot in the central division with a game in hand as we head down the final stretch of the shortened season.
Honorable Mention(s): Hoffman, Hinostroza, Trocheck, Norris, Sharangovich, Kaprizov

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Auston Matthews/Sam Bennett

Winger Jason Robertson

Defence Mackenzie Weegar

Goalie Jack Campbell
