Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday’s Xfinity Series from the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, also known as The Roval. This is the 4th road course race in the Xfinity season so we have a good number of races to look to for information on how the field should fair on Saturday. Now since this is NASCAR nothing is ever definite but as long as we don’t see many wrecks (we typically don’t in road courses) we should be ok. If you are in discord you saw I mentioned that it seems DK pricing is a little soft this week with how the starting positions worked out. I really feel there is a path to using 3 drivers priced over $10K in this race that you can field that you can feel comfortable using. There are the same two obvious road course dominators in this race, AJ Allmendinger ($11,500) and Austin Cindric ($11,000), that we are used to seeing at road courses as well as some “ringers”.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Since we are at a road course, both Cindric and Allmendinger are the top choices and both offer up place differential upside. I will be using both of these drivers in multiple lineups on Saturday. If you only want to roster one, I would go with Cindric.

Kaz Grala ($10,100)

Starting Position: 12th

Grala is one driver in this top tier that might go under owned. In the 2020 season we only saw Grala race in one road course race, but he can be considered a pseudo road course ringer. Grala finished 4th in his one RC race in the #21 RCR Chevy this season, but he also had an outstanding showing in the #3 RCR Chevy in the Cup Series when he replaced Austin Dillon. While Dillon was out with a positive COVID-19 test, Grala took the number 3 to the lead briefly before coming home 7th. In 6 career Xfinity Series starts on RC, Grala has two top 5 finishes as well as three top 10’s.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,700), Chase Briscoe ($10,400)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Preston Pardus ($8,300)

Starting Position: 30th

Pardus may not be as much of a chalk play as someone with his ability starting 30th should be, so you might have some low owned value here. It is tough to get a feel for his ownership, but with him being a lesser known driver in this price range we could see him carry low ownership. In three races this season (all road courses), Pardus has two top 10 finishes. Pardus did race here at The Roval in 2019, but finished 27th.

Myatt Snider ($7,800)

Starting Position: 21st

Snider will be in the #93 car this week again but he does offer some minimal upside on Saturday. I don’t love the play if you are playing cash games, but Snider is a good GPP play. He is in the middle ground where he doesn’t have the upside of a Pardus base don place differential, but he does have top 10 upside and could be the difference in a GPP. Snider does own a top 10 this season (on a RC) when he finished 10th at the Daytona Road Course. In his other 2 road courses races in 2020, Snider finished 32 at Elkhart Lake, but did finish 16th at the Indianapolis RC.

Other Options: Harrison Burton ($8,900), Jeremy Clements ($8,500), Austin Hill ($7,600

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Jade Buford – $7,400 – P24
  2. Josh Bilicki – $7,000 – P32
  3. Jesse Little – $5,400 – P37
  4. Stephen Leicht – $4,600 – P28
  5. Gray Gualding – $6,000 – P33
  6. Brett Moffitt – $6,700 – P19
  7. Kyle Weatherman – $6,100 – P35
  8. Cody Ware – $5,800 – P38
  9. CJ McLaughlin – $5,100 – P36

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity Series race from Talladega Super Speedway! This is the fourth and final Super Speedway race on the season for the Xfinity Series and is arguably the most important of the four. This is the second to last race in the segment of the playoffs and we will see the playoff drivers battling for the win to secure them a spot in the next round.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

AJ Allmendinger ($12,000)

Starting Position: 36th

Welcome to AJ Allmendinger chalk day in the Xfinity series. I don’t really need to tell you why to play Allmendinger other then he starts 36th and will finish in the top 10. In the first race at Talladega this season, Allmendinger started 34th and finished 7th. Play Allmendinger, and don’t worry about salary because we have plenty of value to make it work.

Ross Chastain ($10,200)

Starting Position: 13th

If you didn’t know, Allmendinger and Chastain both drive for Kaulig Racing as well as Justin Haley ($9,600). Earlier this season at Talladega these 3 drivers finished 7th, 2nd, and 1st respectively and I think that we could all three come away with similar finishes on Saturday. Chastain’s 2nd place finish here in June was his best at Talladega in a Xfinity car. Haley has two wins, three top 5’s, and five top 10’s in seven career Super Speedway races in the Xfinity series. If you want to spend your salary, I will recommend stacking the Kaulig teammates.

Other Options: Austin Cindric ($10,600), Chase Briscoe ($10,400), Noah Gragson ($9,800)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Timmy Hill ($8,400)

Starting Position: 37th

There is some talk that we could see Hill in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota on Saturday. Either way, Hill is starting dead last and will most likely be far enough away from the lead pack to avoid the big wrecks and could come home with a top 20 finish if it all works out for him.

Ryan Vargas ($7,700)

Starting Position: 29th

After Allmendinger, Vargas is probably the best place differential play in the field on Saturday. Vargas is probably the best driver to get behind the wheel of the #6 car at a Super Speedway this season. While he doesn’t have any Super Speedway experience, Vargas is a talented young driver with place differential upside.

Other Options: Harrison Burton ($9,400), Ryan Sieg ($8,300), Brett Moffitt ($7,900), Jeremy Clements ($7,600)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Josh Bilicki – $6,900 – P35
  2. Joe Nemechek – $6,700 – P34
  3. Jeffrey Earnhardt – $5,100 – P24
  4. Matt Mills – $4,700 – P27
  5. Kody Vanderwal – $5,000 – P30
  6. Austin Hill – $6,600 – P18
  7. Josh Williams – $5,800 – P17
  8. Colby Howard – $4,800 – P22

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday night’s Xfinity Series race from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We have a 200 lap race on Saturday night, which means dominator points will be at a premium. I have two drivers in mind who I think can dominate this race and I will be playing them together a good amount on Saturday. Both Chase Briscoe ($11,600) and Austin Cindric ($11,300) have been outstanding at 1.5 mile tracks this season and should have no problem repeating their success here in Vegas.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Chase Briscoe ($11,600)

Starting Position: 1st

Chase Briscoe starts on the pole and will likely be fighting with Cindric for the lead on lap 1. Briscoe won this race in the Spring and will have a good chance to sweep here. In this race earlier this season, Briscoe led 89 laps which is what we want to see again on Saturday.

Austin Cinrdic ($11,300)

Starting Position: 2nd

If Briscoe doesn’t get the win on Saturday, I think it will be Cindric who gets it done. Cindric finished second behind Briscoe back in February here at Vegas. In that race, Cindric led 39 laps after starting on the pole, and in his last ten races as 1.5 mile tracks he averaged over 60 laps led.

If you don’t want to use that much salary on the top 2 guys I mentioned, I really like pairing one of them up with local boy, Noah Gragson ($10,300). Using Gragson will save you at least $1K and should free up enough salary to make a more balanced lineup if you choose to go that way.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,600)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Brandon Jones ($9,400)

Starting Position: 7th

Jones is another driver who has the potential to pick up some dominator points and win this race. If he doesn’t win, Jones will at least be able to offer you some upside starting in P7. In seven races here, Jones has five top 10 finishes including his 6th place finish here in February.

Michael Annett ($8,200)

Starting Position: 13th

Michael Annett is priced too low for his starting position and upside here on Saturday. In his last 15 races, Annett quietly has 13 top 10 finishes. I know I wrote this similar stat last week and Annett was involved in an early race wreck and finished 31st. That is less likely to happen atVegas and a top 5 is not out of the question here as well.

Other Options: Myatt Snider ($9,100) – Remember that Snider is back in the #93 car, not the RCR 21. Brett Moffitt ($8,800), Ryan Sieg ($8,100)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Colby Howard – $5,000 – P25
  2. Austin Hill – $6,700 – P29
  3. Jesse Hill – $5,400 – P24
  4. Vinnie Miller – $6,900 – P35
  5. Bayley Currey – $5,300 – P31
  6. Brandon Brown – $7,300 – P11
  7. BJ McLeod – $5,800 – P28
  8. Kyle Weatherman – $6,000 – P33

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s race from Bristol Motor Speedway! We have 300 laps of racing on Friday night which means we have a ton of dominator points to chase in this race. With there being 225 dominator points in this race it will be key to find the driver who will get up from and dominate this race as we did with Brett Moffitt in the Truck Series race on Thursday. Even though Moffitt didn’t get the win, he led 117 laps and had 41 fastest laps which gave him nearly 50 dominator points and outscored Sam Mayer, who won the race.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Justin Allgaier ($11,000)

Starting Position: 1st

Allgaier is my pick to dominate this race and potentially win. I think Allgaier takes the lead from the pole and holds onto it for a long time in this race. In his last 3 races here, Allgaier has lead no less than 131 laps in any race, but had 2 poor finishes thanks to wrecks. Allgaier does own eleven top 10 finishes in 19 races here as well, and a win as well.

Noah Gragson ($10,200)

Starting Position: 3rd

Gragson won the Bristol race earlier this season after his teammate in the #7 wrecked late. I would not be surprised to see Gragson pushing Allgaier for the lead early and the two of them trading the top spot for most of the race. I prefer to pay up $800 for Allgaier, but stacking them together is possible and that is also a strategy I might roll out as well.

Other Options: Chase Briscoe ($11,800), Harrison Burton ($9,900), Justin Haley ($9,600)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Anthony Alfredo ($8,500)

Starting Position: 19th

Alfredo is back in the #21 RCR Chevy this week and gives us some really nice place differential upside in this tier. Myatt Snider ($8,900) drove this care to a 5th place finish back in June, and I can easily see Alfredo getting another top 5 at Bristol on the 21.

Riley Herbst ($8,300)

Starting Position: 20th

Herbst will go off right next to Alfredo and is another great place differential play in this tier. I will be playing both Herbst and Alfredo together in my main lineup with Allgaier. Herbst has six top 10’s in his last seven races and has positive place differential in 5 of those 7 races as well.

Other Options: Myatt Snider ($8,900), Brett Moffitt ($8,700), Jeremy Clements ($7,600)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Gray Gualding – $7,400 – P28
  2. Chad Finchum $6,100 – P27
  3. Colby Howard – $4,800 – P31
  4. Vinnie Miller – $7,100 – P35
  5. Tommy Joe Martins – $5,700 – P26
  6. Matt Mills – $4,500 – P17
  7. Josh Williams – $5,200 – P18

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s Xfinity Series race from Richmond Raceway! Just like the Truck Series race from Thursday night, we have 250 laps in this race meaning we have 187.5 dominator points in this race on Friday as well. In other news, Kyle Busch ($17,000) is back in the Xfinity Series this weekend and we have to pay a hefty price to fit him in. If you play cash games, I think he is a must-play starting from the 29th position. We know Kyle will get to the front at some point and lead some laps and potentially win. DraftKings did give us some decent plays in the bottom of the value tier that makes it feasible to use Busch and construct a good lineup.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

If you aren’t rostering Kyle Busch for this race then these are the drivers I would consider from the top tier.

Justin Allgaier ($10,400)

Starting Position: 16th

Allgaier has had some bad runs the previous two races, but before that he had four top 10 finishes in the last 5 races. In 7 races at Richmond since joining JRM, Allgaier has five top 10 finishes here, as well as four top 5’s. I think Allgaier, along with Austin Cindric ($10,900) will push Kyle for the win on Friday.

Noah Gragson ($9,800)

Starting Position: 4th

Gragson is getting hot at the right time in the season with the playoffs approaching. Over the last six Xfinity series races, Gragson has five finishes of 7th or better. Gragson is one my favorite GPP plays on this slate and he will probably come in severely under owned even at his low price.

Other Options: Austin Cindric ($10,900), Chase Briscoe ($11,500)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Justin Haley ($9,100)

Starting Position: 10th

Justin Haley is quietly having one of the best years in the Xfinity Series. He doesn’t get talked about like the guys on the bigger teams (Cindric , Briscoe, Gragson, Allgaier) do but he should. Only four drivers in the series have more top 10’s then Haley does this season and I think his 15th top 10 will happen on Friday night. Haley has only driven in two Xfinity races here, both came in 2019, and finished 10th and 17th.

Kaz Grala ($8,400)

Starting Position: 24th

Grala is back in the Richard Childress Chevy for Friday’s race and he is one of the top place differential plays for me. This will be Grala’s third race in this car in 2020 with finishes of 13th and 4th in his previous 2 races. In this same race last season Grala came home with a 14th place finish in the #21 RCR Chevy. If we can get a similar finish then we should be happy with that result.

Ryan Sieg ($7,500)

Starting Position: 6th

Sieg, like Gragson, is a pure GPP play on this slate. With Sieg starting from the P6 he doesn’t offer much upside but he will be low owned and has top 5 potential. Last season Sieg had his best career finishes at Richmond when he finished 12th and 5th .

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Riley Herbst – $7,400 – P8
  2. Tommy Joe Martins – $4,800 – P21
  3. Josh Williams – $5,000 – P12
  4. BJ McLeod – $5,800 – P32
  5. Jeremy Clements – $7,200 – P19
  6. Kyle Weatherman – $6,400 – P36
  7. Mason Massey – $6,100 – P30
  8. Vinnie Miller – $6,700 – P34

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity Series race from Darlington Raceway. We have Denny Hamlin ($16,000) driving for Joe Gibbs Racing on Saturday in his first Xfinity race this season. Last season Hamlin was DQ’d after this race and ended up last after winning the race. Luckily DraftKings pays out the contest based on the unofficial results. If you want to play Hamlin you will need to find a lot of value, but he is worth paying for in this race.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Denny Hamlin ($16,000)

Starting Position: 37th

Continuing on from the open about Denny, he is my overall favorite play in this entire race. If you play cash games, he is a must play for me. I can easily see Hamlin breaking 100 points in this race. Hamlin is hands down the favorite to win this race and should dominate the second half of this race in the JGR #54

Chase Briscoe ($10,000)

Starting Position: 2nd

While I think Hamlin dominates the second half of this race, Briscoe is my pick to lead the majority of the first stage of this race. Briscoe has only raced twice at Darlington in the Xfinity series and owns a win and a 6th place finish. Earlier this season Briscoe won here leading the last 45 laps in the process. I believe I can build a competitive lineup for Saturday with both Briscoe and Hamlin together, but it will take some work to find the right combo of value drivers

Other Options: Austin Cindric ($10,700) – Because, Cindric!, Justin Allgaier ($10,400) – Allgaier starts 16th and has PD upside. If you decide to fade Hamlin in GPP’s, Allgaier is a great option.

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Noah Gragson ($8,800)

Starting Position: 14th

It would seem DraftKings wants us to play Gragson this week with their ridiculously low pricing of him. Gragson has performed well at Darlington, and other tracks that have a high grove (Ie: Homestead). In his last 5 races at similar tracks Gragson has four top 5 finishes and has led 220 laps at these race as well. If you can stomach taking three real cheap drivers, you can play Gragson with the two dominators mentioned above.

Ryan Vargas ($7,600)

Starting Position: 29th

Vargas is a great place differential upside play based on his price and starting position. In just two Xfinity Series races this season Vargas has a 25th and a 13th place finish in the #15. Is Vargas a threat to win this race, no, but is a top 20 in the cards, possibly. If we want to fit the top tier drivers in we will need to find some value and Vargas fits the bill.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($8,700), Michael Annett ($8,000)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Welcome to where we will be living on Saturday! Now, if you are playing MME or large field GPP’s and plan on fading Hamlin, then you don’t need to go too low in this tier, but if you aren’t then you will need to find value.

  1. David Starr – $4,600 – P22
  2. Matt Mills – $5,900 – P33
  3. Dexter Bean – $4,700 – P35
  4. Brandon Brown – $7,000 – P17
  5. Ryan Sieg – $7,300 – P11
  6. Austin Hill – $6,900 – P26
  7. Kyle Weatherman – $5,700 – P31
  8. Tommy Joe Martins – $4,900 – P19

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s WaWa 250 from Daytona International Speedway. For those who are new to NASCAR DFS this season, Daytona is what used to be known as a restrictor-plate race and not your typical oval track race. NASCAR has switched from the “plates” of old that began being used 1988, so technically it’s not plate racing because they implemented new tapered spacers. These spacers still have the same effect on the engine, they still restrict the airflow to the engine and allow for the cars to be bunched up at 200 mph running 2 or 3 wide. This type of racing leads to a plethora of accidents and many of the top cars being out early.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

AJ Allmendinger ($11,500)

Starting Position: 34th

Allmendinger is an absolute lock and must play in cash games on Friday night. If you play GPP’s like me, you may want to consider a fade of AJ for this race because he will be the highest owned driver on the slate. AJ has the largest upside of any driver in the field on Friday and has win potential. I will not be fading Allmendinger on Friday because in the Xfinity Series, the chalk is usually what gets into the green and not worth risking the fade in my opinion.

Anthony Alfredo ($9,800)

Starting Position: 13th

Alfredo is back in the #21 RCR Chevy on Friday and should contend for a top 5 finish. This season Alfredo ran his first super speedway race at Talladega where he would finish in 6th. I think the #21 will be fast, and as long as the young driver can avoid the big one, he should be in store for a big points day for fantasy.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,400), Harrison Burton ($10,100), Justin Haley ($9,600)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Noah Gragson ($8,500)

Starting Position: 4th

Gragson won the “spring” Daytona race this year to kick off the 2020 season and is definitely one of the favorites to get back to victory lane on Friday. In his career, Gragson has 6 superspeedway races and has three top 10’s and two top 5’s and the win this season at Daytona. In his last 3 superspeedway races, Gragson has led at least 15 laps. If we can get Gragson out front for a bit with a top 5 finish, he could crush value at this cheap price

Alex Labbe ($7,800)

Starting Position: 17th

Labbe is not someone I will typically go out of my way to play, but with back to back top 10 finishes in the seasons previous superspeedway races Labbe is a good play at this price. There isn’t much to say about Labbe since he has only raced 6 times at SS tracks and this season were his first two top 10’s. I love his price for Friday and will have exposure to him for sure

Other Options: Myatt Snider ($8,900), Ross Chastain ($8,300), Ryan Sieg ($7,600), Timmy Hill ($7,500)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

Gray Gaulding ($7,300) might possibly be my favorite play on this entire slate. He is a superspeedway track specialist in a way. In his last three races at these tracks he has three straight top 10 finishes (8th in 2019 Daytona, 8th and 2nd at Talladega). Gaulding starts 28th on Friday so he has some of the best upside on the slate after Allmendinger

  1. Gray Gaulding – $7,300 – P28
  2. Brandon Brown – $7,200 – P15
  3. Joey Gase – $5,400 – P33
  4. Jeffrey Earnhardt – $5,900 – P24
  5. Jesse Little – $4,700 – P21
  6. Mike Harmon – $6,900 – P35
  7. Josh Williams – $6,400 – P20

Remember, don’t be afraid to leave salary on the table for these types of race tracks. You will see a lot of drivers starting further in the field having great days. In the last two Xfinity races here at Daytona only 25% of drivers finishing in the top 10 in DraftKings points started inside the top 10.

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday’s Xfinity Series race #2 from Dover International Speedway. We saw Justin Allgaier ($10,800) earn his first win of the season on Saturday and now will start 15th. Austin Cindric ($11,300) finished 2nd on Saturday sending him off from 14th on Sunday making Cindric along with Allgaier the top plays on this slate and I will be stacking them together to try and optimize the dominator points available with place differential upside.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Obviously, both Cindric and Allgaier will likely be the chalk of this slate, but they are must plays in cash. I will be stacking them together like I said in the open in GPP’s.

Noah Gragson ($10,500)

Starting Position: 12th

Gragson finished 4th on Saturday and led 27 laps and will be driving this same car off from 12th on Sunday. I think Gragson could push Cindric and Allgaier for the win as well. Gragson has place differential upside, and if I can find the value I will try and stack him with Cindric and Allgaier.

Other Options: Ross Chastain ($10,100), Harrison Burton ($9,800), Brandon Jones ($9,500)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Riley Herbst ($8,900)

Starting Position: 10th

If you aren’t trying to load up on the top tier for their PD and dominator potential, Herbst may be the next best option. Herbst and the #18 JGR Toyota looked good on Saturday as he ran with the top guys for the majority of the race. I think Herbst could come home in the top 5 on Sunday and make decent value.

I don’t like much else in this tier for Sunday’s race. Since I plan on only playing one lineup for this race and plan on loading up on the top tier guys I won’t be able to fit anyone from this tier. Herbst is the best of this group in my opinion with only a few other possibilities I would recommend.

Other Options: Anthony Alfredo ($8,100), Michael Annett ($7,700)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

I will be living in this tier on Sunday to get the value I need to load up on the top tier guys I want. Jesse Little ($4,800) is one of the best plays in this price range, especially for his price. Little starts 20th on Sunday and if he finishes where he starts he will make 5x value and that’s all we can ask for.

  1. Jesse Little – $4,800 – P20
  2. Josh Williams – $7,400 – P22
  3. Colby Howard – $7,200 – P31
  4. Bayley Currey – $6,300 – P33
  5. David Starr – $6,000 – P25
  6. Kyle Weatherman – $6,400 – P26

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday’s Xfinity series race from Dover International Speedway. This is a two race weekend for the Xfinity series, with the first race on Saturday afternoon, followed up on Sunday with race #2. Dover is a tough track, especially for the smaller teams because it can cause mechanical issues that these teams don’t have the resources to deal with.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

Austin Cindric ($11,300)

Starting Position: 1st

I don’t love playing Cindric at this price and starting on the pole, but it is hard to fade a driver this white hot. Last season at Dover, Cindric finished 3rd and led 29 laps for 57.75 DKFP, that won’t cut it this weekend for us to make value. He is a safe cash game play in my opinion because he should lead a good amount of laps. I don’t love him for tournaments, but if you don’t want to fade, I get it.

Chase Briscoe ($10,600)

Starting Position: 10th

Chase Briscoe is my favorite driver on the slate for Saturday. He has the place differential upside Cindric doesn’t have and he can easily win this race. Briscoe will run up front like he typically he does, and with PD upside and dominator potential and $700 savings, this makes the top play on the day for me

Justin Haley ($9,900)

Starting Position: 22nd

Haley is right up there with Briscoe for top plays on the slate based on place differential. Last season was Haley’s first time running laps in an Xfinity car at Dover and he finished 17th and 4th after starting in 11th in both races. Haley is a much improved driver this season and I will most likely be pairing him with Briscoe in tournaments where I fade Cindric.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($11,000), Noah Gragson ($10,100)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Jeb Burton ($9,200)

Starting Position: 27th

Normally with how poor Burton and the #8 team has been performing I would be in full fade mode at this price, but when you factor in track history and place differential I think he gets to 5x value Saturday. Burton has two Xfinity Series races at Dover with a 12th and 13th place finish.

Anthony Alfredo ($8,700)

Starting Position: 26th

Alfredo is back in the #21 RCR Chevy on Saturday and has top 5 potential. I think Alfredo could even push Briscoe as the top overall DK points leader on Saturday. Alfredo has never raced in an Xfinity car at Dover but at similar track he has four top 10’s and and a top 5.

Timmy Hill ($7,600)

Starting Position: 36th

Timmy Hill most likely be extremely under owned this week because of his price. Hill doesn’t have great track history, but with three straight finishes of 27th or better Hill does offer upside. I don’t know that he gets to the 5X value we look for, but he is a very intriguing tournament play this week.

Other Options: Brett Moffitt ($8,900), Brandon Brown ($7,700)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

There is some decent value this week, but my favorite play in this price range might be Colby Howard ($7,400). In his last 7 races in the #15, Howard has one finish lower than 23rd when he wrecked at Kentucky, but bounced back to take the back up car to a 21st place finish the next night.

  1. Colby Howard ($7,400 – P33)
  2. David Starr ($5,300 – P29)
  3. Jeffrey Earnhardt ($5,500 – P30)
  4. Stefan Parsons ($7,200 – P32)
  5. Korbin Forrister ($5600 – P31)
  6. Josh Willims ($6,700 – P18)

Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Saturday afternoon’s Xfinity Series race from the Daytona Road Course. This is the first ever NASCAR race to be run on this track. Drivers will have zero track time to prepare and learn this race track. I know some drivers were using the iRacing set up to practice, so we will see if that was helpful come Saturday

One thing you won’t see this week is Austin Cindric ($11,000) in my article for the first time on a road course. I know he is the best driver right now in the series, and on road courses, but starting on the pole gives us little upside. I would rather pay down a little or go up the $400 to Allmendinger. If you want to play Cindric, I won’t talk you out of it, but I just think there are better ways to spend your salary this week.

NASCAR DFS: Dominators

AJ Allmendinger ($11,400)

Starting Position: 11th

Allmendinger is finally starting in a spot where he won’t be extreme chalk thanks to NASCAR’s new qualifying formula, replacing the random draw. As the highest price driver with less upside then usual, we should get AJ at much less ownership as people will flock to the drivers further back in the field. Allmendinger has four top 5 finishes in his last 5 road course races.

Earl Bamber ($9,900)

Starting Position: 29th

Earl who? Earl Bamber is one of the most experienced drivers to never sit in a NASCAR car until Saturday. Bamber has won pretty much every where he has raced and is the defending IMSA GT champion. Not only is he the defending IMSA champion, he has won the 24 hour of Le Mans twice in his career. Bamber has even gone as far as replacing the pedals in his RCR Chevy with the Porsche pedals he is used to using in his IMSA car. I really like Bamber today, and even though he might be chalky, he could easily come in as the top overall driver on the slate.

Chase Briscoe ($9,600)

Starting Position: 2nd

Briscoe has been a solid play at road courses with an average finish of 4.85 over his last 7 races including 2 wins (2018 Charlotte Roval, 2020 Indy RC). With Briscoe starting on the front row with Cindric and could out run him and lead a good portion of the early part of the race. I prefer Briscoe over Cindric for the savings since there are a plethora of drivers over $9K I want to roster this weekend.

Other Options: Justin Allgaier ($10,600) , Daniel Hemric ($10,200), Noah Gragson ($9,700)

NASCAR DFS: Mid Tier

Brandon Gdovic ($9,400)

Starting Position: 37th

Gdovic is another driver that you may not be familiar with, but he did run on the Indy road course earlier this season. In that race, Gdovic started 38th, but came home 12th and earned 58 DraftKing points. If we can get a similar outcome from Gdovic, he will more than make 5x value.

Jeremy Clements ($8,500)

Starting Position: 18th

Clements was having a great day last week at Road America until a late race wreck took him out. We get good upside again this week from Clements with him starting 18th. He has a good history on road course, Clements came into last week with four straight finishes of 13th or better.

Jade Buford ($7,500)

Starting Position: 32nd

Here is the third driver you might now recognize ( I told you in the discord there were a bunch). Buford has raced twice on road courses this season and finished inside the top 20 in both races (14th and 18th). In those two races Buford started much further up in the field, so he offers up more upside on Saturday then he has in the previous races.

Other Options: Alex Labbe ($8,300), Myatt Snider ($8,100), Justin Haley ($9,200)

NASCAR DFS: Value Tier Rankings

  1. Riley Herbst – $7,100 – P15
  2. Scott Heckert – $7,200 – P30
  3. Josh Bilicki – $6,900 – P18
  4. Stephen Leicht – $4,700 – P21
  5. Jesse Little – $5,300 – P24
  6. Jeffrey Earnhardt – $5,600 – P28
  7. Kyle Weatherman – $5,900 – P26
