Isaiahs Protocol

Isaiah’s Protocol for the NBA DFS slate is built around DraftKings pricing but is good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have an interesting 6 game NBA DFS slate to look at tonight. The Wizards travel to Atlanta and represent two of the fastest-paced teams in the NBA with two of the worst defenses. Both teams have close to a 120 point implied team total (ITT). Vegas has set the Over/Under at 240, with Atlanta being a 1 point favorite. Another target game involves the Suns going to Memphis to take on a hot Grizzlies team. Oddsmakers have set this game to score 236 points with Memphis as 2.5 point favorites. There is no shortage of injury-related news tonight on either with both Boston and Portland banged up and carrying questionable tags on some key players. I advise all my readers to join the staff at WinDaily in our Discord chat rooms as we discuss important news as it unfolds on this NBA DFS slate.

THE STUDS

Kawhi Leonard ($10200) The Clippers are in Orlando tonight facing a decent Magic defense. The Magic rank 5th in defensive efficiency (DEFF) and 5th in (DvsA) which is a rank given to the opponent when facing this player’s archetype. Leonard has been carrying this offense over the last couple weeks with Paul George (hamstring) out. Kawhi carries a 35.3% usage rate and scores 1.51 fantasy points (FP) per minute. He has scored over 65 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFPTS) in 3 straight games and dropped 50 on Orlando last time. Kawhi has an ugly match up in a slow-paced game. I expect his ownership to be suppressed, making him one of my favorite targets on this NBA DFS slate.

Trae Young ($9500) Trae enters the night with a 36.7% usage rate, scoring 1.43 FP/min. Washington ranks 28th in DEFF. Young has a great matchup tonight and gets us some much needed salary relief from Kawhi. I expect him to be very high owned (chalky) making him a great player to target for cash games.

THE CORE

There is a lot to like on this NBA DFS slate for the core tonight, so I’m going to look at a few for some salary relief and list the others afterward.

John Randle ($7600) Randle has a 27.2% usage rate and scores 1.14 FP/min. I want to target this short-handed Nets frontcourt on a B2B, and Randle looks to be slightly underpriced tonight. He just dropped 45 DKFPTS on a stout Toronto defense last time out. If we get similar production from him tonight, that gives us 6X value at this salary.

Deandre Ayton ($7500) Ayton looks to be a nice fit for the center position tonight as there are a lot of valuable guards I am trying to squeeze on to my roster. He carries a 21.9% usage rate and scores 1.19 FP/min. Memphis ranks 17th in DEFF and 21st in DvsA. Ayton has been averaging close to 36 mins. a game with Aron Baynes (hip) on the shelf, and had 41 DKFPTS against the Grizzlies last time around. Ayton’s multi-positional eligibility makes him one of my favorite plays on this NBA DFS slate.

Others to consider Domantas Sabonis ($8700), Bradley Beal ($8200), Devin Booker ($8100), John Collins ($8000), Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6300). Keep an eye on the Celtic status as Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum are both questionable. Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward have nice price tags if these guys don’t play.

VALUE

Dillon Brooks ($5500) Dillon has made this list a lot recently as he continues to have a salary that’s too cheap in my opinion. Brooks carries an admirable 24.2% usage rate and scores right around an FP/min. Jae Crowder (knee) is doubtful tonight creating a nice boost in stats for Brooks. Phoenix ranks 20th in DEFF and 21st in DvsA. Dillon’s 33 point projection has him at 6X value at this salary. He also becomes an important piece in roster construction on this NBA DFS slate as an under-owned pivot off of my next player.

Elfrid Payton ($5500) Payton dropped 39 DKFPTS double-double on Toronto last time out, in 35 minutes. There’s still a question about what the Nets lineup will look like after an OT win last night but regardless, I want to target their 28th ranked DvsA.

Others to consider: Josh Hart ($3900), Reggie Bullock ($3900), Landry Shamet ($3800), Nicolas Claxton ($3700), Doug McDermott ($3600), Damyean Dotson ($3400).

There’s a lot to think about today so I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Isaiah’s Protocol for the NBA DFS slate is built around DraftKings pricing but is good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We are looking at an enticing 12 game NBA DFS slate tonight, packed with electric players and exciting games to watch. There is a lot to cover so we can find some optimal players. I advise all my readers to join the staff at WinDaily in our Discord chat rooms as we discuss important news as it unfolds during the day.

I wouldn’t be doing my job as an NBA writer if I didn’t start off by mentioning the situation in New Orleans. Zion Williamson will be making his long-awaited NBA debut. Trying to put the hype aside, this status throws a curveball into the NBA DFS slate. The Spurs/Pelicans game has the highest implied team total (ITT) and 2 of the worst defenses on the docket tonight. This game also involves at least 6 players to consider for roster construction. All the numbers go out the door as I have no idea how Zion will affect the minutes, usage, defense, and overall production of any of these key pieces.

ZION

Las Vegas has set Zion’s props for around 13 points, and 6 rebounds. Williamson averaged 23.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 71.4 percent from the field during the preseason. He was supposed to be out only 6-8 weeks but eventually sat out for 3 months with a torn meniscus in his knee. According to the Pelicans’ executive vice president of basketball operations, they just wanted to be cautious with their franchise player. If I project Zion to put up 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and a TO in 15-20 minutes, he scores roughly 25 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFPTS), and 5X value on his $5000 salary. I highly doubt they turn him loose for over 25 minutes, which is what he will need to maximize his potential. I will most likely take a ‘wait and see’ approach with Zion on this NBA DFS slate.

THE STUDS

Lebron James ($10800) All the power to you if you can get him on your roster. Lebron has a 34% usage rate and scores 1.56 fantasy points (FP) per minute. The Knicks rank 26th in defensive efficiency (DEFF) and 29th in (DvsA) which is a rank given to the opponent when facing this player’s archetype.

Karl-Anthony Towns ($10400) KAT is in a great spot on this NBA DFS slate squaring off against a short-handed Bulls team that ranks 16th in DEFF and 29th in DvsA. He carries a 29.6% usage rate and 1.53 FP/min. Any concerns regarding his extended absence with a bothersome knee can be put aside after he just dropped 50 DKFPTS on the Nuggets in 35 minutes on Monday.

Russell Westbrook ($9800) I wasn’t going to originally include Westbrook here as I don’t really like to target teams that are facing a solid Denver defense. The Nuggets come in ranking 12 in DEFF and 4th in DvsA. Denver is currently dealing with multiple injuries throughout their roster, so these numbers may not be that accurate. Russell has a 35% usage rate and scores 1.35 FP/min. Jamal Murray has already been ruled out for tonight so Westbrook makes the list tonight.

THE CORE

Chris Paul ($7300) Paul has registered over 35 DKFPTS in 7 of his last 10 games, and over 45 DKFPTS in 3 of his last 4. He has a 22.7% usage rate and scores 1.13 FP/min. I don’t typically target players against Orlando’s solid defense. I was surprised to see that they rank 23rd in DEFF. CP3 dropped 38.5 DKFPTS on them in the last game. Paul should be low owned tonight and could get us 6X value at this salary.

Bradley Beal ($7200) This price is way too low for Beal. I understand that Miami has a solid defense ranking 9th in DEFF and 4th in DvsA. Beal has a 33.6% usage rate and scores 1.26 FP/min. He’s relatively match up proof and he dropped 43 DKFPTS in 39 minutes the last time he saw the Heat. Those figures will get me 6X value with his salary and make him a fine piece for my roster on this NBA DFS slate.

Jason Tatum ($7500) and Gordon Hayward ($5800) Jaylen Brown has been ruled out tonight. Boston has the 2nd highest ITT on this NBA DFS slate at 233 points. Memphis is one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. I can see them keeping this game closer than the 7 point line implies. The Grizzlies have the 7th highest pace on the slate. They rank 27th against combo guards (CG) and 30th against scoring wings (SCW). Memphis also ranks 24th in DvsA against shooting forwards. I want to get a piece of this game, so Tatum and Gordon’s salaries look to be nice targets.

Others

*Lou Williams ($7300) Lock him in if Patrick Beverly misses this game, or Kawhi Leonard ($10500) sits on the second half of this back to back tonight. Kawhi becomes one of my most favorite plays on the NBA DFS slate if he plays.

Jimmy Butler, Jrue Holiday, Donovan Mitchell, Pascal Siakam, Danilo Gallinari, Jonas Valanciunas, Nemanja Bjelica, Kyle Lowry, Marvin Bagley, and Dillon Brooks.

THE VALUE

I’m just going to list a couple of names I’m considering as of right now because it’s way too early to make any decisions on value for this NBA DFS slate.

Jordan McRae, Mike Conley, *Landry Shamet (Beverly injury status), and a possible dart on Dort… Luguentz Dort.

There’s a lot to think about today. I highly encourage all readers to join the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Thank you for reading my content and feel free to leave a comment, or hit me up on Twitter @IsaiahsProtocol.

Isaiah’s Protocol for the NBA DFS slate is built around DraftKings pricing but is good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We’re looking at a solid 5 game NBA DFS slate tonight. With a total of 14 NBA games being played today, I’m going to do my best to process them all for you. Please check out my EARLY article if you’re looking to mix and match players for the different lock times on FD. I advise all my readers to join the staff at WinDaily in our Discord chat rooms as we discuss important news as it unfolds during the day.

THE STUDS

Damian Lillard ($8400) C.J. McCollum is out tonight with an ankle injury. Portland is extremely short-handed right now due to injuries and trade. This means a lot of minutes for Damian. He has a 30.3% usage rate and scores 1.27 fantasy points (FP) per minute. The Warriors rank 22nd in defensive efficiency (DEFF) and 27th in (DvsA) which is a rank given to the opponent when facing this player’s archetype. Lillard is currently projected for 52 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFPTS) which will exceed 6X value at his current salary.

Devin Booker ($8600) Booker carries a 30.1% usage rate and scores 1.18 FP/min. on the season. I love targeting the Spurs at the 2 spots where they rank 20th in DEFF and 16th in DvsA. Booker looks to be a nice piece of this NBA DFS slate.

Demar Derozan ($8200) I’ve been writing Demar up quite a bit lately as he’s been on a tear. DeRozan has been averaging 36 minutes and goes over 44 DKFPTS in 6 straight games. In those games were some solid defenses in the Heat, the Raptors, and the Celtics. The Suns are not good at defending guards ranking 25th in DvsA. I project Derozan to stay consistent and score in the mid ’40s for 5-6X value at this salary.

THE CORE

Dangelo Russell ($7600) Russell looks to be back to form as he’s gone over 40 DKFPTS in 5 of his last 6, and over 50 in 4 of those games. Dangelo carries a 32.7% usage rate and scores 1.25 FP/min. He squares off against a short-handed Blazer squad that ranks 23rd DEFF and 28th in DvsA. Projected at 43 DKFPTS, Russell becomes one of my favorite pieces on this NBA DFS slate tonight.

Hassan Whiteside ($7500) I alluded earlier to how this Blazer squad is missing some key parts. Hassan is another key piece that I expect to carry this offense tonight. I was surprised to see him priced this low. This is his cheapest salary since the end of December. Whiteside scores 1.35 FP/min. on the season and will be playing all the minutes, he can handle. The Warriors rank 29th DvsA. Lock him in.

Jason Tatum ($6900) There is a lot to watch for with this pick. I won’t be playing Tatum if Anthony Davis returns on this NBA DFS slate, but I’m not expecting that to happen. Kemba Walker (knee) and Jalen Brown (thumb) are both carrying questionable tags. If either or both of these guys miss the game Tatum gets a huge boost to his 26.9% usage rate. A match up with Kyle Kuzma would be the icing on the cake. He’s priced way too low in my opinion if all the right pieces fall into place tonight. Marcus Smart ($5800) and Gordon Hayward ($5600) also become intriguing if Boston is short-handed.

THE VALUE

Dario Saric ($4700) I wanted to mention Saric here, but this requires some attention to the lineups. Kelly Oubre has been out with a concussion (but is expected to return tonight) and Dario has filled in quite admirably in his absence. He’s pushing hard to regain his starting job at one of the forward positions. He just put up 35 DKFPTS against Boston on Saturday and dropped 47 on the Spurs the last time he saw them. Keep an eye out and if Dario makes it into the starting lineup on this NBA DFS slate, his salary is way too cheap.

Anfernee Simons ($3900) and Mario Hezonja ($3500) Neither of these guys played very well against Oklahoma on Saturday, but the minutes and opportunity remain for this hurting Blazer squad.

I’m going to leave it here for now as there is a ton of information and news to process on this NBA DFS slate tonight. I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays. Isaiah’s Protocol for the NBA DFS slate is built around DraftKings pricing but is good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a loaded 9 game NBA DFS slate to start us off on this holiday. There are a total of 14 NBA games being played today, and I’m going to do my best to process them all for you. I advise all my readers to join the staff at WinDaily in our Discord chat rooms as we discuss important news as it unfolds during the day.

With such a large pool of players on this NBA DFS slate, I like to focus my attention on a balanced core to start. This strategy is best served for cash games. As we get closer to tip-off and value starts to unfold, you can use those pieces to pay up for some of the higher-priced superstars.

THE STUDS

Ben Simmons ($9100) I’m not sure I can get here using a balanced approach, but I’m going to try. Ben’s in a great spot today as the Nets rank 27th in both DEFF and DvaA. The Sixers are short-handed so a majority of their offense will run through Simmons. On the season he carries a 21.7% usage rate and scores 1.16 FP/min. I’m projecting a big game from him on this NBA DFS slate today.

Julius Randle ($7700) Julius has a 27.2% usage rate and 1.14 FP/min. Cleveland ranks 23rd in DvsA and 18th in DEFF. Randle has averaged 34 minutes and 45 DKFPTS over his last 10 games. Julius also averages 46.6 DKFPTS in his 2 games vs. Cleveland. The math is simple here. Randle should get 6X value and close to 50 DKFPTS for $7700. Lock him in.

Lonzo Ball ($7000) Lonzo has been on a tear recently, stuffing the stat sheet across the board. He’s averaging 46 DKFPTS in 38 minutes across his last 10 games. Ball has a 22.3% usage rate and 1.03 FP/min. These numbers include the first couple of months of the season when he was injured or coming off the bench. Memphis is middle of the pack defensively, ranking 17th in DvsA. Keep an eye on the status of Jrue Holiday. If he returns today, I may fade Ball as his usage will take a hit.

THE CORE

Fred VanVleet ($6700) FVV has recently returned from a hamstring injury, so he has had a bit of a minute restriction. That didn’t stop him from dropping 48 DKFPTS in Minnesota in 28 minutes. Toronto has one of the highest ITT’s (119.5) on this NBA DFS slate. The Raptors square off against an Atlanta team that pushes the pace and has trouble with guards, ranking 15th in DEFF. FVV has a 23.8% usage rate and 1.06 FP/min. FVV can get 5X value at this salary with a 28-minute restriction but carries a much higher ceiling if he can get run.

Danilo Gallinari ($6600) Gallinari should be well-rested after sitting out the Portland game on Saturday. He carries a 23% usage rate and 1.05 FP/min. The Rockets have one of the fastest paces in the NBA and rank 25th in DEFF and 17th in DvsA. Danilo has averaged almost 39 DKFPTS in his previous 2 meetings with the Rockets. These numbers scream 6X value at $6600 for 40 DKFPTS.

Dillon Brooks ($5800) This pick is more of a “gut feeling”. We have to save a salary somewhere on this NBA DFS slate. Dillon has been playing well recently and has Memphis looking like one of the hottest teams in the league. He has a 23.8% usage rate and .92 FP/min on the season. The Pelicans rank 16th in DEFF and 17th in DvsA. I don’t like Brooks nearly as much if Jrue plays.

THE VALUE

Targeting Brooklyn’s frontcourt has been DFS gold for a long time. Joel Embiid and Deandre Jordan have already been ruled out for this contest due to injury. Al Horford left last game with a sprained hand and is currently listed as questionable. This basically leaves Jarrett Allen ($5900) as the only healthy frontcourt starter for either team. That’s a lot of points, rebounds, and blocks left in the paint for value players when they open up. Monitor this situation closely.

Brook Lopez ($4600) I’m not going to say too much here. Chicago is very short-handed in the paint right now and ranks 29th DvsA. They’re facing one of the best frontcourts in the NBA. Lopez isn’t the best center on the board but 27 DKFPTS will give him 6X value at this salary. I expect him to smash that here, making him one of the best value plays on this NBA DFS slate today

There’s a lot to think about today so I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a loaded 9 game NBA DFS slate to look at tonight. There are obvious superstars available and some other options with great upside as well. DraftKings has priced the players well, so injury news during the day could be crucial to help fit all the right pieces into your roster.

I’m writing this up a little differently today as I wouldn’t be doing my job for our WinDaily family if I didn’t include a very key piece. Here’s the thing; if you’re using my favorite player on this NBA DFS slate, your average for remaining players drops to $5314. That eliminates virtually the entire core of this article. At the time that I am writing this piece, I don’t have all the injury news available. You will need that information to include him on your roster.

THE BEST PIECE

James Harden ($12800) The Rockets are on the front end of a B2B, with OKC on tap. Russell Westbrook has been ruled out tonight, for rest before his return to Oklahoma City, tomorrow. Harden has a 46.8% usage rate and a 46.7% assist rate and scores 1.85 FP/min without Westbrook on the floor. This basically tells you that James Harden will score points almost every single time the Rockets touch the ball. Atlanta is the 3rd worst defense in the league, they rank 29th in DEFF, and have the 8th fastest pace. Houston has the 2nd highest pace and is favored by 8, giving them a 121 point implied team total. Factoring in all these numbers it’s no surprise to see Harden projected for almost 70 DKFPTS tonight. Getting him on your roster will be tough, but not impossible.

THE CORE

Bradley Beal ($8500) Beal is questionable, and I don’t have a whole lot of information on this lower leg injury that has kept him out of 5 of the last 6 games. As of right now, he did not participate in the morning shootaround, so I don’t know how helpful this will be. He carries a 33.6% usage rate and scores 1.27 FP/min. Miami has a solid defensive unit ranking 11th in the league, but that hasn’t stopped Beal from averaging 51.2 DKFPTS/gm in 3 contests previous to this one. Simply put, If he’s playing, his salary is too cheap for his upside here. Pivot straight to Jordan McRae ($6600) if Beal is ruled out.

Jimmy Butler ($8200) Butler was out last game with a back injury. He’s been upgraded to probable and should be rested for this NBA DFS slate. The Pacers have questionable tags regarding injuries to Brogdon and Sabonis. I expect this game to stay close with both of them playing tonight, judging by the 1 point spread. Indy ranks 10th in defense and 11th in DEFF and 1st overall in DvsA at Butler’s position. Jimmy “buckets” has a 25.7% usage rate and scores 1.22 FP/min. Looking into Butlers splits I noticed that he scored 40.3 DKFPTS his last time out against the Pacers. He only shot 3 for 11 in that game. I expect him to go low owned tonight, and like his upside at this salary.

Serge Ibaka ($7800) Serge has played admirably since filling in for the injured frontcourt in Toronto. He’s averaged 34 DKFPTS over the last 2 weeks and has a double-double in each of his last 6 games. Ibaka has a 24% usage rate and scores 1.14 FP/min. We know how good it is to pick on the Hornets frontcourt. They rank 23rd in DEFF, and 26th in DvsA. Most of the ownership will be on Lowrys expensive price tag, after dropping close to 50 DKFPTS on yesterday’s NBA DFS slate. Serge provides some nice salary relief and a nice pivot off of Lowry, in a better match up.

Jaylen Brown ($7400) I’m just going to throw this out there. San Antonio can not cover the SG. Going back to New Year’s Eve, Burks had a monster game. It was Shai’s turn on the 2nd, and Bledsoe’s on the 4th. The Spurs rank 28th in DEFF, and 28th in DvsA. Jaylen carries a 23.6% usage rate and scores 1.07 FP/min. Brown went 10 for 18 in 32 minutes, dropping 45.8 DKFPTS the last time he saw the Spurs. Jaylen has a nice salary for this NBA DFS slate.

Others include: Joe Ingles, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier, Eric Bledsoe

THE VALUE

Daniel Gafford ($4800) Wendle Carter Jr. has already been ruled out at the center for the Bulls with a sprained ankle. Gafford played well filling in for Carter on Monday going 6 for 13 points and 8 rebounds. He scored 27 DKFPTS in 25 minutes vs. Dallas. New Orleans ranks 22nd in DEFF vs. the center position so Daniel could provide salary relief in this decent match up.

Michael Porter Jr. ($3800) Will Barton has been ruled out tonight. Porter has a 22,5% usage rate, 14.8% rebound rate, 7.2% assist rate, and scores 1.06 FP/min. Dallas ranks 26th in DvsA.  I expect him to start for Barton and is basically a free square on this NBA DFS slate.

Others include: Austin Rivers, Chris Boucher, Wes Iwundu, Oshae Brissett

Breaking news is extremely important on this NBA DFS slate and we will need some value so that we can get at some higher-priced stars into our lineups. I encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We are looking at a small 4 game NBA DFS slate of games tonight. In my last article, I gave some thoughts on a building process I’ve been using, where I’ve been fading most of the high priced superstars, focusing on getting more of a solid core across my entire roster. There is very little value available so far on this small NBA DFS slate. It’s going to be very difficult to get those high priced studs in your lineup tonight. I’m sticking with my process in hopes that the studs stay closer to their season averages. I can gain an edge on them with a larger, solid core, of cheaper options. Please note that this building process works better with cash games, but certainly helps in narrowing down a player pool to include in GPP contests as well.

I love the Suns/Grizzlies game that has one of the highest implied totals on the NBA DFS slate (234.5). Phoenix is favored by a modest 6.5 points. The Suns’ starters are simply priced too cheap, and line up for a perfect game stack tonight.

THE CORE

Devin Booker ($8200) DraftKings has failed to raise Boolers salary to match his fantasy production. Booker has scored more than 44 DKFPTS in his last 5 games, and gone over 50 in 3 of his last 4. Booker carries a 29.8% usage rate and scores 1.14 FP/min. Memphis ranks 22nd in DvsA, and 24th in DEFF. I’d like to take advantage of the salary savings on Devin in this great match up.

Kelly Oubre Jr. ($7100) Oubre has just been on fire recently. He’s scored over 45 DKFPTS in 4 straight and played close to 40 minutes in all of them. Kelly carries a 21.6% usage rate and scores an FP/min. His projected 35 DKFPTS already has him sitting at 5X value, and the numbers have him outperforming that projection.

Deandre Ayton ($6900) I’ve been riding this future star since his return from suspension, and he’s still priced too low. Ayton has a 21.9% usage rate already and scores 1.26 FP/min. He’s finally getting starter minutes again and is projected for a modest 40 DKFPTS. That projection already has him sitting at close to 6X value. Factor in the Grizzlies 22nd ranked DvsA, 23rd ranked DEFF, and this is a no brainer. It also makes for a perfect game stack on this NBA DFS slate.

Ja Morant ($6200) This is pretty easy. I love attacking the Suns with guards. The numbers have them ranked at 15th in DEFF, but I think that’s a little inflated. Morant has an incredible 29.9% usage and scores 1.12 FP/min. He’s already averaged 34 DKFPTS in his previous 2 games vs. Phoenix. With those numbers coinciding with his season stats, at this salary, he already has close to 6X value. Having him on my roster here also completes my game stack.

I don’t have the injury information for the Timberwolves at the time I’m writing this. I will absolutely have Shabazz Napier and Robert Covington ownership in this same price range if their lineup remains similar to the last few games.

Other core players to consider:Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio

VALUE

Sekou Doumbouya ($5000) I don’t know a whole lot about this guy yet. There’s a very real chance that Detroit shuts down Griffin for the season. Christian Wood looks like the logical replacement, but the Pistons seem to be content having him in their second rotation. Sekou played 27, and then 38 minutes in his first 2 games. He scored 40 DKFPTS in that last game vs. the Warriors. Having logged B2B double-double as a relative unknown, Sekou could very well exceed 7X in this trying match up against Anthony Davis.

Jae Crowder ($4500) Jae just dropped 62 DKFPTS on the Clippers last night and has been playing well. His salary hasn’t been adjusted yet, and this looks like a good spot to take advantage of. The numbers and stats don’t exactly scream at me here, but he is projected for 26 DKFPTS. At this salary that gives us another 6X value piece on our roster. Looking to get another piece in that NBA DFS slate game stack I alluded to earlier, Crowder looks to be too cheap.

I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Thank you for reading my content and feel free to leave a comment, or hit me up on Twitter @IsaiahsProtocol.

Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a nice 6 game NBA DFS slate to look at tonight. I want to mention a trend I’ve been noticing lately. I’m finding that a lot of the high priced studs are scoring around 50 DKFPTS lately. Some of this is due to blowouts, injury, load management, or just sharing the court. Many of them have higher ceilings. I’m finding it easier to fade most of them and increase my salary averages. I like to concentrate on getting 40+ DKFPTS out of more of the mid to higher tier guys. This process isn’t set it stone, but I find it an easier way to start to narrow down my player pool on NBA DFS slates.

Kemba Walker has already been ruled out. I’ll touch on some thoughts there as we go.

THE CORE

Devin Booker ($7900) Devin has been killing it lately. He’s scored more than 44 DKFPTS in his last 4 games. He has a 29.5% usage rate and scores 1.14 FP/min. The Knicks rank 26th in DvsA, and 28th in DEFF. He’s too cheap for his projected 41 DKFPTS tonight.

John Randle ($7700) Randle has been on fire recently. He has had more than 47 DKFPTS in his last 4, maxing out at 61 in his last game of 2019. Randle has a 26.8% usage rate and scores 1.12 FP/min. Phoenix ranks 28th in DEFF.

Deandre Ayton ($7300) Deandre is a virtual lock for 40+ DKFPTS, and a double-double every time he gets on the court. He seems to have put his suspension and bothersome ankle injury behind him. Ayton has a 23.4% usage rate and scores 1.29 FP/min. I don’t think the Knicks are very good against opposing centers, and I can picture a game script here where Ayton approaches 50 DKPTS.

Gordon Hayward ($7000) Gordon has a 21.6% usage rate and scores 1.09 FP/min. More important is Atlanta’s 30th ranked DEFF, and 27th DvsA against shooting wings. I think a lot of people will be looking at Tatum and Brown on this NBA DFS slate. Gordons assist rate gets a 6.6% boost without Kemba, and he already shoots 53.4% on the season. The matchup, the stats, the injury, and the salary all project Hayward to go north of 40 DFFPTS tonight at $7000.

Others: Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Kelly Oubre.

VALUE

Marcus Smart ($5100) Don’t get cute here, grab a fork and prepare to eat the chalk on this NBA DFS slate. Smart entered the starting lineup when Brown was sick, and I fully expect him to start tonight. Atlanta ranks 27th in DEFF and 23rd in DvsA. Marcus is projected to play 32 minutes, and go over 30 DKFPTS tonight. That’s right around 6X value.

Terrance Ross ($4000) With Aaron Gordon still nursing an Achilles issue, and the masses chasing DJ Augustin’s phenomenal game last time out, Ross is still being overlooked and priced too cheap. Miami is a solid D, so the matchup isn’t a great one. Roster at your own risk, but this guy has the ability and minutes to break the NBA DFS slate on any given night.

Frank Ntilikina ($3200) There’s an obvious risk with taking the 8th overall pick in the 2017 draft. Frank just locked down Dame on Wednesday en route to 34.25 DKFPTS. Elfrid Payton is listed a questionable due to a personal matter and doesn’t look like he’s going to play. Rubio also tweaked his hip on Wednesday, although he’s listed as probable. I know it’s not a great play, but if he runs 25+ minutes, he could be a steal at $3200.

Breaking news will be extremely important tonight as we will need some value to open up so that we can look at some higher-priced stars to squeeze into our lineups, I highly encourage all readers to join myself, and the rest of the WinDaily team in the Discord chat rooms as we break down and discuss our favorite plays of the NBA DFS slate. Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

Happy New Year everyone. We have a small 4 game NBA DFS slate today. I will try and give you some of my thoughts to start 2020 off with some money in your pockets. Minnesota has listed KAT, Wiggins, Teague, Okogie, Layman, Vonleh, and others as either out, or not expected to play today. This has me looking to fade most of the Bucks. I fear either a blowout, rested players, or limited minutes. We also have a large spread in the LAK/PHO game. After projecting a similar upside with some of the cheaper players, I’ll most likely be fading Lebron and Anthony Davis’ elevated salaries.

THE CORE

Bradley Beal ($8700) Beal is still listed as questionable but practiced fully on Tuesday. He has a 33.5% usage rate and scores 1.27 FP/min. Beal has averaged 57 DKFPTS against Orlando in his last 2 meetings and is simply priced too cheap for this NBA DFS slate.

Hassan Whiteside ($8300) Whiteside played 37 minutes on Monday with numerous injuries to the Blazers frontcourt. He scores 1.35 FP/min and has put up 40+ DKFPTS in 6 of his last 7 games. Projecting 50+ from Whiteside today is making him one of my top plays at this salary.

Nikola Vucevic ($8200) The Wizards rank 26th in DvsA and 23rd in DEFF against opposing bigs. Vucevic has a 24.5% usage rating, scores 1.3 FP/min, and dropped 63 DKFPTS on Washington his last time out. Aaron Gordon is questionable and if he remains out, those stats will get a slight boost.

Julius Randle ($8000) Julius has been playing better recently. I take his game logs with a grain of salt as 2 of his previous 3 were against Washington. Julius still has a 26.8% usage rating and scores 1.11 FP/min. He’s been playing 35+ minutes over this last week, and there are some serious depth concerns in the Blazers frontcourt, as they rank 22nd in DEFF.

Value

Jordan Mcrae ($5800) I missed this play on the last NBA DFS slate, and he crushed it, so he has to make the list today. I’m still hesitant as it feels like point chasing, and he’s going to be very popular. Jordan is only an option for me if Beal happens to miss this game. The upside here is too hard to ignore. Isaiah Thomas ($5100) is a very intriguing GPP pivot here as he has a 26% usage rate, and starts. He should go under-owned after some sub-par shooting nights.

Kelan Martin ($4000) Kelan has been playing over 30 minutes a game with all the injuries to the Timberwolves. Martin came close to a dbl/dbl against Brooklyn last time out, and I can see him getting good run tonight as well. His price has come up a bit, but I’ll still take the risk here with 6x value upside.

Terrance Ross ($4200) It makes me sick to write him up here as I declared him on my DNP list after the last game. In FULL disclosure, I can’t promise he won’t make my lineup. He has great upside on this NBA DFS slate if he can hit his shots. He has a 21.3% usage rate and plays 25 mins. a game off the bench. He should also get a bump if Gordon misses the game.

Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a very difficult 4 game NBA DFS slate tonight, as 7 of the 8 teams are on the second half of a back to back. Making matters even more intriguing, there are several superstars that are questionable due to lingering injuries. Others are in blowout type game scripts. At the time in which I’m writing this, I don’t have the luxury of knowing what the teams are planning in regards to resting certain stars.

I’ve studied several different ways to attack this small NBA DFS slate and concluded that there is very little value as of right now. This makes it extremely hard to fit any of the high salaries into a lineup that feels comfortable. The Nuggets and Grizzlies seem to spread the ball around evenly, making them tough teams to target on this NBA DFS slate. De’Aaron Fox is injured so there should be value in Sacramento, but I don’t like targeting Denver’s stout defense at home. This leaves the five superstars which are difficult to fit in and New Orleans. The Pelicans are playing an up-tempo game against a susceptible defense in the Rockets. This is what I came up with.

The Core

Russell Westbrook ($9200) Westbrook has been north of 45 DKFPTS in all of his last six games, and 9 of his last 10. He’s has a double-double floor, and is the cheapest of the studs tonight. He’s averaging 54 DKFPTS in 2 games vs. N.O.

Brandon Ingram ($8100) Ingram carries a 29.5% usage rate and scores 1.26 FP/min. Houston Is ranked 30th in DvsA, and Ingram put 63 DKFPTS on them in his last time out.

Jrue Holiday ($7800) Holiday has a 27.6% usage rate and scores 1.12 FP/min. Scored 48.3 DKFPTS in his last game vs. Houston.

Richaun Holmes ($7100) Holmes will be asked to do some of the heavy lifting on this NBA DFS slate with both Fox and Bagley on the shelf. Denver is actually ranked 23rd in DvsA at Holmes’ position.

Lonzo Ball ($5400) Ball’s been starting, and his minutes have been trending in the right direction. He carries a 21.5% usage rate and scores a FP/min. Ball dropped 45 DKFPTS in 35 minutes against the Rockets earlier in the season.

Value

Josh Hart ($4200) Hart has a great matchup tonight. The Rockets rank 28th in DvsA, and DEFF, and Josh dropped 35 DKFPTS on Houston his last time out. (Consider a pivot to Rondo here if Lebron misses the game)

De’Anthony Melton ($4000) This is more of a gut call. Melton should go relatively under-owned coming off the bench and averaging around 15 min/gm. He’s been averaging close to 30 DKFPTS a game and is a nice sleeper candidate at that price. Use caution here.

Jerami Grant ($3800) On an NBA DFS slate that is starving for value, Grants been getting a decent amount of minutes. On a B2B, and home favorites, against a banged-up King squad; Grant may get a nice value at his bargain-basement price.

Of course, all of the superstars are still in play for every NBA DFS slate. This write up just gave me a chance to get a lot of good players in one lineup. Using all of them would be a better cash gameplay than a GPP.

Isaiah’s Protocol picks for the NBA DFS slate are built around DraftKings pricing, but are good across the industry with some slight adjustments to salaries on the various sites.

We have a very interesting 5 game NBA DFS slate tonight. I want to start things off a little differently today. I’m going to give you some of my general thoughts on this slate before I dig into some core plays that I have in mind.

The Pacers are in Miami, and the 76ers travel to Orlando. These 2 games represent 4 of the best defenses in the NBA, and the Magic have the slowest pace on this NBA DFS slate. Fading players from these games eliminate 6 of the top 9 salaries available. Let’s talk about the other 3. Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best DFS players in the NBA. Coming off an embarrassing loss on Christmas day to the 76ers, Antetokounmpos match up against Atlanta is the stuff DFS dreams are made of. However, Giannis only scored 55 DKFPTS in 32 minutes the last time he faced the Hawks. That was without John Collins, who just returned from a 25 game absence due to suspension. Collins isn’t the best defender, but he has great instinct around the rim. Factor in the nagging back problems that Giannis has been dealing with, the potential for a blowout (limited minutes), and his inflated salary; I’ll be fading Giannis. On the flip side, Collins has a tough matchup against the Greek Freak. I’ll let others chase the 50 DKFPTS he posted in his return vs. Cleveland on Monday, and fade him as well. I wouldn’t normally suggest you fade 8 of the top 9 players on any NBA DFS slate, but bear with me. Let’s see what we have left.

THE CORE

Trae Young ($10,800) The opposition has been absolutely feasting on the Bucks backcourt since Bledsoe fractured his fibula. Trae has a 36.4% usage rate and scores 1.39 FP/min.

D’Angelo Russell ($7400) Russell has a 32.8% usage rate, scores 1.22 FP/min, and the Suns rank 27th in DvsA

Ricky Rubio ($7100) Rubio has a 24% usage rate, and scores1.14 FP/min. Golden State ranks 28th in DEFF against ball distributors.

Devin Booker ($6900) Booker has a 28.6% usage rate, scores 1.12 FP/min. The Warriors rank 29th in DvsA and 23rd in DEFF against his position. He’s simply priced too cheap on this NBA DFS slate.

VALUE

Aron Baynes ($4800) Baynes has a 21.7% usage rate and scores 1.09 FP/min. The Warriors rank 29th in DvsA, and Baynes has been playing close to 30 mins/gm. He dropped 59.5 DKFPTS in 28 mins the last time these two teams met, and not much has changed in the rotations since then. He’ll break the NBA DFS slate again if he comes anywhere close to duplicating that performance.

De’Andre Hunter ($4700) Hunter carries some risk here, but I need to find a forward. He only has an 18.5% usage rate and scores.71 FP/min. He still played 39 minutes on Monday in Collins’s return. The Bucks rank 4th in DEFF and Middleton is a good defender. I was surprised to see him averaging 32 DKFPTS in his previous 2 games against Milwaukee.

Wesley Matthews ($3700) Atlanta ranks 28th in DvsA against Wesley’s position, and he seems to have picked up some responsibilities in stuffing his stat sheet since Bledsoe went down. Averaging close to 30 minutes, in a matchup against this dismal Hawk backcourt, I like the savings here.

All 7 of these players fit intoone lineup, and actually form interesting stacks of the 2 best target games onthis NBA DFS slate.
