This article focuses on 6/14 Bundesliga Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and Fanduel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.
For Sunday’s action, we have a very simple, straightforward, two game slate. Bayer Leverkusen is a decent favorite against an awful Schalke 04 side. Prior to that, we have a closer projected matchup in Mainz and Augsburg.
The odds were better earlier in the week, as I had got Bayer Leverkusen -160. Kai Havertz is expected back in the lineup, and striker Kevin Volland might return as well. Given how horrible Schalke 04 has looked since the Bundesliga restarted, I think we can turn to Bayer Leverkusen with more confidence than usual.
Take the over on Kai Havertz as this is a good spot for him with Bayer Leverkusen set to crush and take the under on Benito Raman. The Schalke offense has been lifeless.

Kings ofthe Hill
Hyun JongYang (L), KIA – $9,900 DK / $25 FD
I’m still afirm believer than Hyun Jong Yang is one of the best pitchers in the KBO and I’llbe going back to him tonight despite the elevated price tag on DK; on FD, Yangis my favorite pitcher at only $25. The KIA southpaw comes into tonight’s startwith a 5-2 record, 3.89 ERA, 4.18 FIP, 1.27 WHIP, 16.7% strikeout rate and 7.0%walk rate. His strikeout rate has dropped since posting a 22.3% clip in 2019,but the talent is still there, as seen in a game versus Doosan where he struckout 7. We saw what his teammate Ki Young Im, who was featured in yesterday’sarticle, did versus the same SK team: 6IP, 0 earned runs on 3 hits and 6strikeouts, good for 27.1 DK points. While I did say Im is one of the best keptsecrets in this KBO campaign, Yang has a superior skillset and is set up to dominate.
Casey Kelly(R), LG – $9,200 DK / $27 FD
Another KBO slate where Casey Kelly’s price has increased, another KBO slate where I love the matchup. Kelly is sitting at 2-1 on the season with an inflated 5.06 ERA but has been unlucky as seen through his 3.80 FIP, to go along with a 1.38 WHIP 19.6% strikeout rate. Is he worthy of only being $400 lower than Chang Mo Koo was on the other day? Absolutely not. Does his matchup versus Lotte give him a significant bump enough to warrant the price tag? You better believe it. While ownership will likely flock to Yang and a cheaper arm to jam in some heavy hitters, I love a GPP strategy of loading up with the two best pitchers on the slate and finding some value in the batter’s box.

This KBO slate still has some updates to be had; DOO vs HAN has since been removed from the DK slate, while the second game is part of the FD main slate. We’re also still waiting on starting pitchers for both sides of this KIW @ NCD game. Originally, NCD had reliever Jin Ho Kim slated to start and that sounds as if it’s likely to be a bullpen game for the Dinos. After they pitched 7 1/3 of the game yesterday en route to Kiwoon pouring in 15 runs, the Dinos bullpen will be depleted and sets up the Heroes for a repeat performance. By switching power hitters Byung Ho Park and Ha Seong Kim in the order, where the former is now batting 2nd and the latter batting cleanup, the Heroes seem to have rejuvenated their offense.

NC Dinos
The Kiwoon Heroes, just like the NC Dinos, do not have a projected pitcher listed but had Young Gun Jo slated to start before it was later removed. Should it be the rookie taking the mound or a bullpen game for the Heroes, expect NC to exploit either one; the Dinos rested key players yesterday in Eui Ji Yang, Jin Sung Kang, and Jin Hyuk No only to later remove Aaron Altherr and Myung Gi Lee mid-game when things got out of hand in the 4th. They’ll be rested, at their home park, and will seek out revenge for yesterday’s onslaught. Keep an eye on veteran Chang Min Mo who made his return to the lineup yesterday and went 2/5 with an RBI.

The four fighters listed below will be listed in order of priority starting from four to my NUMBER ONE pick of this MMA DFS slate. Tonight I am using Draftkings salaries but, my picks are suited for FanDuel and SuperDraft as well. I am going to be breaking down a few fights taking place at the APEX Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada tonight. This article is my universal MMA DFS picks and targets for Draftkings and Fanduel. Mariya Agapova (-335) (8700) vs. Hannah Cifers (+270) (7500).
DraftKings | FanDuel
Agapova has a professional record of 8W-1L and is making her UFC debut. She is primarily a striker. If Agapova gets going, Cifers is not going to believe what hit her. She is way more than Cifers bargained for; her constant unorthodox movement, the ability to switch up her stance extremely fast, and her hand speed, Hannah is in for a rough night. In my opinion, Mariya is more than Cifers can handle at the moment. Hannah has a history of being finished, and she is facing off against someone who has a “never give up” mentality. Cifers might make it out of the first round if she is smart about her striking and maximizes her grappling opportunities but, I do not see that happening for an extended period of time, definitely not the entire fight. I think Mariya Agapova wins this fight via second-round TKO.

Tyson Nam (-125) (8000) vs. Zarrukh Adashev (+110) (7700).

Nam is winless in his first two fights in the UFC. He has been completely outclassed in both of his career UFC fights. The problem that Nam has is that he does not throw enough strikes. He is very dull in the octagon. His strategy has been to literally stand there while his opponent throws strike after strike and attempts takedown after takedown until he feels that he has found a weakness and has figured out his opponent. That strategy would be perfect if he were at home watching the fight on the television but definitely not while he’s actually in the octagon with an opponent in front of him.
Nam does not know when to throw certain kicks or punches. It looks like he’s out there just hoping to get lucky and hoping his opponent just falls without contact but, we all know, that’s now how fights work. His opponent is Zarrukh Adashev. Adashev is not the most aggressive fighter, but as soon as he noticed a few missteps in his previous opponents, he released everything that he had into the next few strikes. I believe Adashev is going to make his UFC debut a very memorable one, with a third-round TKO.

Julia Avila (-635) (9300) vs. Gina Mazany (+450) (6900).
DraftKings | FanDuel
Avila won her UFC debut. She showed how amazing she could perform. Avila came out and looked very well rounded. Julia is fresh, more confident, stronger, and an overall better fighter than Mazany, in my opinion. Mazany has been through the wringer, and I believe she is currently on the decline in her career. This matchup does not look good for Gina. Avila has devastating knockout power, and if that doesn’t work, she can take it to the mat and force a submission relatively fast. I do not see a route where Gina Mazany comes out victorious here. Julia Avila should demolish her and should be able to do it quickly.

This is my favorite pick of the night. I NEVER go ALL-IN on any one fighter in my MMA DFS picks because anything can happen in the UFC. This is as close as an all-in that I have been in the previous five MMA DFS slates. Merab was initially scheduled to fight Ray Borg but, due to family medical issues, Borg withdrew from the contest.
The replacement for Borg is Gustavo Lopez. Lopez is a decent fighter who was fighting in Combate America (CA) until literally two days ago. Gustavo is a two-time Bantamweight champion in the CA, on a three-fight win streak, has six first-round finishes, four submission wins, and six KO/TKO wins. There are a few issues I have with picking him in this fight. One issue is that he had to cut weight in less than 24 hours, and another issue I have is, all of his stats DID NOT happen in the UFC. Yes, he has looked good in the CA but, the UFC is an entirely different animal with elite competition.
Unfortunately, for him, he is facing Merab Dvalishvili, who is also on a three-fight win streak and his winning streak DID happen in the UFC. Merab is a relentless, scrambling, dominant wrestler, that when he is not grappling, he is an absolute madman in the octagon. He has a wide variety of crazy, wild, hard kicks and punches.
He is one of the most unpredictable fighters that I have ever seen. On top of everything else, he is ridiculously strong too. I think Dvalishvili catches Lopez really fast, and this fight ends early in the first round.

With only four match weeks left, it is put up or shut up time for many teams in the Bundesliga. DraftKings has a five game main slate, while FanDuel has six, including the Bayern Munich late game.
As for as Bayern Munich goes, it is important to note that both Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller will be out. Expect Joshua Zirkzee to lead the line with Serge Gnabry, who will be the chalk, along with Kinglsey Coman and Ivan Perisic behind him.
Dortmund should be popular on both sites and Erling Haaland is expected back to resume his 1-2 punch with Jadon Sancho. On DraftKings, I think you can get around having to use Dortmund with so many high floor, set piece guys available from other teams. Filip Kostic is my lock as the $9,000 price tag is sort of a bargain comparatively.
One situation to keep an eye out for is in regards to the Werder Bremen lineup. If Milot Rashica and Leo Bittencourt are both out, it would lead to all of the set pieces for either Marco Friedl or Ludwig Augustinsson. This would make either a strong value play on DraftKings. The latter is also very cheap on FanDuel at only $7. I normally am not a huge Werder Bremen fan but they will be in a battle of the two bottom teams against Paderborn.
Hello old friends. While Bayern Munich still hasn’t clinched the Bundesliga title, I think we can turn to the well one more time. These are clearly the two best teams in the Bundesliga. While Bayern might be missing both Lewandowski and Muller, their opponents, Gladbach, will be missing Alassane Plea. This helps to offset things a little. Bayern has the superior depth to fill in, by far.
Take the over on Jadon Sancho and the under on any Dusseldorf opposition he gets paired up with on the prop bet.
