9/20 English Premier League DFS Picks

Due to the English Premier League separating games now on a consistent basis, we have a three game slate on Sunday, with one of the games being one of the games to watch, Liverpool vs Chelsea. Both are title contenders, but Liverpool showed massive cracks in the back line against Leeds, so I am approaching that game as a high scoring game. Newcastle takes on Brighton early which should be a low-scoring game, and Leicester takes on Burnley in the later game.

After a great start to the betting campaign in EPL so far, here are my top two plays for tomorrow.

Saturday 9/19 EPL Slate “Matchweek 2/38”

We are back for Matchweek Two, and this slates features three decent home favorites in Manchester United, Arsenal, and Leeds United.

Manchester United is the biggest favorite on the slate at -335, hosting Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Aside from a possible appearance from recent signing from Ajax, Donny Van De Beek, most of the lineup is unchanged from last season. This is a Manchester United team that made a lot of strides over the second half of last year. Particularly after the Bruno Fernandes signing, as he helped to fill the playmaking void this team previously lacked. There is not a lot of DFS goodness for Manchester United aside from the attack, but Bruno, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial should all be popular.

Arsenal comes in next at -200 hosting West Ham, coming off a humiliating home loss to Newcastle. Their big addition over the off season was Willian, formerly of Chelsea. Arsenal are hoping that he can help fill the role of facilitator, helping to feed the likes of Pierre Emerick-Aubemeyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and youngster Eddie Nkietah. The former two are likely to start alongside Willian and Aubemeyang has the slates highest scoring odds at -152. Therefore, you can expect to see a lot of PEA on both sites as he is likely the most popular forward option.

EPL Best Bet

Fulham (+475) at Leeds United (-162) – Over 3 Goals (-110) – 10:00 AM ET – Saturday 9/19 – *LEEDS UNITED*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

You can certainly roll with another one of the two favorites mentioned above, Manchester United -335 and Arsenal at -200. However, we get a little bit more juice odds wise pivoting from them with Leeds United.

Leeds had beat up Fulham 3-0 at home last season down in the second division. After a strong showing against Liverpool, they should be able to take care of business here. Furthermore, they have an extremely strong record over the last two years against teams they are favored against. Nonetheless, I think they get overlooked by bettors and DFS players alike, in favor of the more familiar faces.

9/14 English Premier League DFS Picks

After a great weekend of EPL so far, we get another two game slate on this beautiful Monday with Sheffield United taking on Wolves and Brighton taking on Chelsea. Furthermore, Wolves and Sheffield United both had a great year last year, and Wolves has signed half of Portugal to continue on their search for Champions League football. I expect a close defensive game in the Sheffield game, and the new revamped Chelsea should dismantle Brighton in a game where they have very favorable odds.

This article focuses on 9/13 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Sunday 9/13 EPL Slate

The NFL is back and so is the EPL. For those, looking to release some pre-game anxiety, we have a pair of soccer games in the hours leading up to NFL lock.

The Sunday slate is a two gamer with the first game 9am ET between newly promoted West Bromwich Albion “West Brom” playing host to Leicester City. Directly following that, Tottenham will be at home, squaring off with Everton.

Leicester City had a disappointing end to last season, missing out on a final four position and a Champion’s League spot. James Maddison is likely to be out, leaving set pieces to Youri Tielemans. Meanwhile up front, they are still led by 33 year old Jamie Vardy, coming off one of the best seasons of his career.

The late game should be a good game. Everton played really well the second half of last year and certainly Tottenham has a lot of quality players with everyone fully healthy.

EPL Best Bets

Everton (+320) at Tottenham (-110) – Under 2.5 Goals (-117) – 11:00 AM ET – Sunday 9/13 – *EVERTON*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Tottenham will be home and has everyone back healthy. However, I think this is closer than the odds suggest. One potential wild card is the introduction of James “Hammes” Rodriguez, the nation of Columbia’s best player and new import from Real Madrid.

James will be a huge upgrade from Gylfi Sigurdsson and likely share set pieces with Lucas Digne immediately once on the pitch, but we will see if he starts right away.

Overall, there is more juice on the underdog and no incentive to take Tottenham at basically even money.

9/13 EPL FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1. Harry Kane – Tottenham – $23
  • 2. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $22
  • 3. Jamie Vardy – Leicester City – $20

  • 8. Delle Alli – Tottenham – $16
  • 9. Kei Iheanacho – Leicester City – $16
  • 10. Matheus Periera – West Brom – $14

9/12 English Premier League DFS Picks

We normally get to do this a lot earlier in the year, but the Premier League is back! Arsenal takes on recently promoted Fulham in the early game, but that is not on the main slate. Newly revamped Crystal Palace takes on a Southampton in the first game on the slate, with Newcastle, who are new and improved taking on a West Ham team that is going to have a rough year. This article focuses on 7/26 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

Sunday 7/26 EPL Slate

We are down to the EPL season finale and for DFS purposes it is absolute sensory overload. The rankings are somewhat less scientific than usual as there are tons of great plays and many stars will be coming in at lower ownership than we are accustomed to. It makes it less of a cash slate and more of a tournament slate with so many lineup possibilities.

So, from the standpoint of an observer, what’s at stake?

Champion’s League 2020-2021 Qualification

Well, there are two Champion’s League spots up for grabs between Chelsea, Manchester United, and Leicester City, the latter two who are facing each other. Chelsea and Manchester United enter the final day with 63 points to Leicester City’s 62. However, Chelsea would lose to both teams on goal difference in the event of a Manchester United and Leicester City tie and Chelsea loss.

Relegation

We also have the finish to the battle for the third and final relegation spot as Watford travels to Arsenal, while Aston Villa heads to West Ham. Aston Villa leads on goal difference, which serves as the tiebreaker in the case they share the same result, but only by a single goal. I don’t know about you but Watford bores me and I never liked insects to begin with, so let’s go Villa!

The Golden Boot

In another matter of interest, Jamie Vardy leads Danny Ings 23-21 in the Golden Boot race. One goal would likely seal the deal for the veteran Leicester City striker, who is on pace to win his first ever Golden Boot at age 33.

EPL Best Bets

Watford (+285) at Arsenal (-110) – Under 3 Goals (-125) – 11:00 AM ET – Sunday 7/26 – *ARSENAL*

DraftKings | FanDuel

Manchester United (+125) at Leicester City (+225) – Under 3 Goals (EVEN) – 11:00 AM ET – Sunday 7/26 – *MANCHESTER UNITED*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

Neck and neck with Aston Villa in the relegation battle, the Watford Hornets need a better result than Villa and hope to get it on the road against Arsenal. The only problem with that is the fact that they are absolute ass.

Watford has been relatively non-competitive their last few matches and with Arsenal coming off a road letdown against aforementioned Aston Villa, I think they bounce back here at very fair -110 odds.

As for the second match listed, Manchester United has put up back to back poor performances against Chelsea and West Ham. However, they have been much better than Leicester City overall since the restart. This game is for a Champion’s League spot and I expect the deeper, more talented team to handle business on the road.

This article focuses on 7/22 EPL/Interleague Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

7/22 EPL/Interleague Slate

It is the final weekday of the English Premier League before the grand finale on Sunday and Manchester United is the one constant, as their game is featured on both sites. The Red Devils come in heavy -455 favorites at home against West Ham, as they aim to finish ahead of Leicester City for the final Champion’s League automatic qualification spot for next season.

Where the slates get different lies in DraftKings treating this as an inter league slate, with the addition of the Napoli v. Parma game. Meanwhile, on FanDuel, the late EPL game between Liverpool and Chelsea is the other featured game on that site’s slate.

The Napoli v. Parma game begins a half hour after the Manchester United game, whereas the Liverpool v. Chelsea game starts a couple hours afterwards.

I just don’t think there’s a lot of value in Manchester United at -455, particularly given West Ham’s strong recent form. It’s fine if they’re the chalk in DFS, but I won’t eat the money line.

One of the two primary goal scoring forwards, Dries Mertens, is an injury doubt, but Napoli still has more than enough weapons available to take care of a struggling Parma side. The other man up front for Napoli, Lorenzo Insigne, is due for some positive regression given how many shots he has been firing off recently.

Plus, Napoli has capable fill ins such as Matteo Politano, Jose Callejon, and Mexican national team player Hirving “Chucky” Lozano. Should the latter start, in DFS, he will be Hirving “Chalky” Lozano., between his $6,600 price tag and forward eligibility.

7/22 MKF Pick

Given that it is a high threshold for Mason Greenwood to hit, might as well aim for the under, which is the percentage play. As for Jarrod Bowen, with the consistency he has shown recently, when combined with the extremely low threshold of just one shot at goal, the over makes sense.

This article focuses on 7/21 English Premier League DFS Picks for FanDuel and Draftkings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

7/21 English Premier League DFS Picks

We have a two game slate that has relegation and potential Europa League implications for next year in play. Manchester City takes on Watford away, and while Manchester City have nothing to play for, Watford need a point to avoid a relegation battle in the last week. Aston Villa take on Arsenal, and will be fighting for their lives as they are currently sitting in the 18th position, three points can take them level with Watford, and then it will come down to goal differential. Paying down at defender will likely be key tomorrow, as attackers are pricey. Draftkings is not playing the two game EPL Slate, and instead is including Atalanta vs Bologne in their slate, so picks will vary on there.

Monday 7/20 EPL Slate

There are games Monday-Wednesday this week to finish off this next to last EPL match week before a giant Sunday slate finale where every team will play at once.

Today’s slate is a three gamer which involves two 1pm ET games, followed by one 3:15pm ET game. None of these games are very sexy, to say the least.

Up first, we have Brighton clashing with Newcastle, as well as the kings of defense and 1-0 victories, Sheffield United, taking on Everton. Afterwards, we have Wolves facing another “exciting” team in Crystal Palace. Goals will be at a minimum, that’s for sure.

EPL Best Bets

Crystal Palace (+700) at Wolves (-750) – Over 3.5 Goals (-110) – 3:15 PM ET – Monday 7/20 – *WOLVES*

DraftKings | FanDuel

The Betting Game Plan

To say that this game will likely be low scoring is an understatement.

Wolves have been playing excellent defense as of late, albeit not scoring a ton. Meanwhile, defense is about all Crystal Palace does nowadays as the goals seem to get rarer and rarer for them.

Wolves have the better team and at home should be able to grab a dull 1-0 victory.

7/20 EPL FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1. Raul Jimenez – Wolves – $22
  • 2. Richarlison – Everton – $21
  • 3. Diego Jota – Wolves – $17
  • 4. Dwight Gayle – Newcastle – $17
  • 5. Jonjo Shelvey – Newcastle- $13
  • 6. Miguel Almiron – Tottenham – $15
  • 7. Valentino Lazaro – Newcastle – $8
  • 8. Neal Maupay – Brighton – $19
  • 9. John Fleck – Sheffield United – $8
  • 10. Oliver McBurnie – Sheffield United – $18
  • 11. Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Everton – $17

Defense

  • 1. Matt Ritchie – Newcastle – $10 – CORE PLAY
  • 2. Tyrick Mitchell – Crystal Palace – $6
  • 3. Jarrod Branthwaite – Everton – $7
  • 4. Grant Baldock – Sheffield United – $9
  • 5. Lucas Digne – Everton – $15
  • 6. Wily Boly – Wolves – $15

  1. Rui Patricio – Wolves – $14
  2. Martin Dubravka – Newcastle – $8
  3. Dean Henderson – Sheffield United – $12

7/20 EPL DraftKings Rankings

  • 3. Richarlison – Everton – $9,000
  • 4. Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Everton – $7,300
  • 5. Neal Maupay – Brighton – $8,300

  • 2. Oliver Norwood – Sheffield United – $6,200
  • 3. Solly March – Brighton – $6,100
  • 4. Aaron Mooy – Brighton – $5,900
  • 5. Matt Ritchie – Newcastle – $8,700

Defense “Rough Position outside Lucas Digne”

  • 1. Lucas Digne – Everton – $7,200 – CORE PLAY
  • 2. Danny Rose – Newcastle – $4,600
  • 3. JUST PUNT AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE – ANYONE STARTING, BUMP IF ON THE WING

Goalies

  1. Martin Dubravka – Newcastle – $4,100
  2. Dean Henderson – Sheffield United – $5,100

7/20 MKF Pick

Assuming Wolves win 1-0, Raul Jimenez is the most likely man to get them on the board, so the over on the 2.5 works here as he can also achieve that via an assist and shot on goal.

On the other side, Wilfred Zaha has at least one shot on goal in three consecutive games, so let’s take the over on his 0.5 benchmark.

This article focuses on 7/16 English Premier League DFS Picks for FanDuel and Draftkings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large.

7/16 English Premier League DFS Picks

We have a four game slate, with Champions League and relegation implications in play. We have Everton taking on an Aston Villa side who are needing of a win to avoid relegation, and Leicester taking on Sheffield United in a race for Europe. Crystal Palace take on Manchester United who are desperate for a win after missing out on 3 points against Southampton, and Southampton taking on Brighton, where Danny Ings wants the Golden Boot.

7/16 EPL DFS FanDuel Rankings

Forward/Midfield

  • 1 Bruno Fernandes $22
  • 2. Marcus Rashford $19
  • 3. Richarlison $18
  • 4. Martial $20
  • 5. Calvert-Lewin $17
  • 6. Greenwood $16
  • 7. Jamie Vardy $21
  • 8. Alex Iwobi $12
  • 9. Nathan Redmond $14
  • 10. Danny Ings $19

Defenders

  • 1 Aaron Wan Bissaka $15
  • 2. Joel Ward $11
  • 3. Lucas Digne $15
  • 4. Konsa Ngoyo $9
  • 5. Matt Targett $11

Goalkeepers

I am all over David De Gea in this slate on both sites and will be locking him in. However, if looking for a secondary option, I am looking at Alex Mccarthy at $11.

DraftKings Forwards/Midfielders (Early Slate)

  • 1. Richarlison $9300
  • 2. Jamie Vardy $9,700
  • 3. Jack Grealish $8,500
  • 4. Ayoze Perez $6,800
  • 5. Conor Hourihane $7,400
  • 6. Gylfi Sigurdsson $7,700
  • 7. Youri Tielemans $6,100
  • 8. Kelechi Iheanacho $6,500
  • 9. Oliver Norwood $5,100
  • 10. John Mcginn $4,900

DraftKings Defenders

  • 1. Lucas Digne (Lock) $7500
  • 2. James Justin $5,600
  • 3. Enda Stevens $4,900
  • 4. George Baldock $4,700
  • 5. John Egan $3,400

DraftKings Goalkeepers

Both mentioned goalies above are in the late slate, and that puts me on Kasper Schmeichel ($5,200) or Jordan Pickford ($5,000). In regards to the 3:15 lock slate, Manchester United will be chalky and rightly so. Furthermore, the players listed under FanDuel will apply directly into the DraftKings rankings, so prioritize United first before Southampton!

As always, please make sure all of these players are starting in your lineups. Starting lineups come out roughly an hour before each game starts, so it’s important to check back! Good luck!
