Colorado Rockies

Here are my preferred DFS Stack recommendations for June 24.

Braves: Jon Lester has allowed at least four earned runs in five of his past seven starts, and the Braves have been the top hitting team in MLB for the month of June. They seemingly have been a regular DFS stack lately. Ozzie Albies, priced friendly at 4300 on DraftKings, is hitting .370 with four homers and 15 vs. left-handers and Austin Riley (5,300) is at .333/5/11. Dansby Swanson, also at 4300, is hitting .317 with three homers and 12 RBI vs. LHPs. Ronald Acuna Jr. (4800) and Freddie Freeman (5400) have 11 combined HRs with 14 RBI each vs. lefties. Johan Camargo has started to pick it up recently and is just 3600.

Yankees: Aaron Sanchez has a 6.09 road ERA in nine starts, so the Yanks will be a great cash game DFS stack. D.J. LeMahieu is hitting .333 this month with 19 RBI, and Gary Sanchez has six HRs and 19 RBI in June. Luke Voit has eight HRs and 17 RBI this month and Gleyber Torres has four HRs and 15 RBI in June. You do have to get creative with this DFS stack, as all of the aforementioned hitters are $4,800 or above on DraftKings. Giancarlo Stanton comes in at 4500 and Gio Urshela is 4100 if he is in the lineup. Didi Gregorious can be your real DFS stack salary saver at 3700.

Upgrade to Premium Gold!

Phillies: Steven Matz has allowed five earned runs in each of his past two road starts and owns a 6.21 away ERA. Scott Kingery (4800) is hitting .390 vs. lefties. Jay Bruce (4400) is hitting .357 so far vs. LHPs since he came to Philadelphia and may not be widely used because of a  lefty-on-lefty matchup. Jean Segura (4400) is hitting .300 with 18 runs scored vs. lefties. J.T. Realmuto has four home runs and 13 RBI vs. LHPs and is ideal at 3900. Cesar Hernandez is another DFS stack saver at 3700.

Indians: Brad Keller is 1-6 on the road with a 4.85 ERA. Orlando Mercado is hitting ,313 with three homers, 11 RBI, four steals and 14 runs scored. Jason Kipnis is enjoying a revival month of June with three homers and 16 RBI and is priced friendly for your DFS stack at 4000. Roberto Perez fits nicely at 4200 while you can also throw the Jose Ramirez dart at 3900. Carlos Santana (5100) and Francisco Lindor are obviously the DFS stack anchors here. Do check the weather in this one before you make Cleveland your DFS stack for the night.

Rockies: You have to consider this DFS stack against Drew Pomeranz and his 7.09 ERA against the second-best hitting team in the Majors this month. This is a good bounce-back spot for Colorado after getting swept at Los Angeles.  David Dahl kills lefties, as does Ian Desmond, and either Tony Wolters (.319 vs, LHPs) or Chris Ianetta can save some salary.

The guys dig into the Monday night schedule on this DFS Podcast, spotlighting CC Sabathia as a possible bargain play against Toronto, and they also consider Philadelphia and Colorado stacks. Tonight’s Braves-Cubs game should produce a lot of offense, and there is a sparkling pitching matchup between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. The Rockies-Giants game presents an interesting dilemma to close out today’s DFS Podcast. Should you take a hot-hitting team against a bad pitcher as your prime stack of the night? Will the ball leave the yard enough?

First Base

Joey Votto, MIL vs. CIN

DK ($4,000)   FD ($3,100)

Votto has a solid matchup against Jimmy Nelson tonight in Miller Park, a great hitters park. Votto is batting .346 with two home runs in 32 at-bats against Nelson. Nelson has a 10.29 ERA and has allowed at least four earned with four hits in each of his two starts this season. Nelson allows lefties to hit .333 but these sample sizes are very small at only 18 total at-bats. Miller Park is ranked ninth in home runs allowed with 1.226 HR/game. Also, Milwaukee’s bullpen is allowing a 4.23 ERA on the season. The Reds are slight underdogs but the under/over is high at 9.5. Feel free to roster other Reds including: Puig and Dietrich.

Second Base

Whit Merrifield , MIN vs. KC

DK ($4,900)   FD ($4,000)

Whit Merrifield is batting .538 with three homers in 14 at-bats against Odorizzi. We have a high 9,5 under/over and Orodizzi has been struggling as of late, allowing four earned over six innings pitched to the Red Sox. Odorizzi has faced K.C. in one prior start this season where he allowed a .292 team BA and a 6.00 ERA. Merrifield and Kike Hernandez, two second basemen who are also OF eligible (depending on the site), are my first two locks of the day.

Third Base

Nolan Arenado, COL vs. ARI *Early*

DK ($5,100)   FD ($4,200)

I’m including this sentence in two spots in this article because it is so important! Colorado kills Ray. The Rockies own a .337 team BA in 191 at-bats. The batters with the most impressive stats are easily Blackmon, Desmond, and Arenado. These players are batting a combined 38-for-90 with eight home runs in 90 at-bats. The Rockies tore up a solid matchup last night fagainst Greinke, how do you think they’ll fare today against a pitcher they have demolished in the past and who comes into this game struggling over the past month with a 4.85 ERA over his last five starts? In those starts, he’s allowed five home runs. It is clear the long ball has been a problem for him as of late and I don’t expect anything to change against an on-fire Rockies team in a great hitting environment in Chase Field.

Shortstop

Alex Bregman, HOU vs. NYY

DK ($4,500)   FD ($4,300)

Now that Bregman is eligible at both SS and 3B, I’ve been rostering him a little more in my GPP lineups, as he always carries upside. And tonight in Yankee Stadium, I love Bregman against Chad Green and the Yankees bullpen. Green is allowing a 7.65 ERA on the year and righties are killing him! Right-handed batters are hitting .364 with four home runs in 55 at-bats. Can Green and Yankee Stadium hold Alex Bregman?.I think not. Beware of weather though. Good thing we have the best DFS weatherman in the business here.

Other option: Trevor Story *Early*

Outfield

Kike Hernandez, LAD vs. SF

DK ($3,400)   FD ($3,000)

Let’s roster Kike Hernandez against Madison Bumgarner in Los Angeles tonight. Kike went 0-5 in a beautiful leadoff spot last night where he was fairly high owned. Disappointing for sure, but today’s a new day and I do expect him to lead off against despite his hitless efforts last night. Hernandez owns a .500 BA with six doubles and four home runs in 49 at-bats against Bumgarner. The under/over is low but the Dodgers are favored by -180. Expect some small ball, even a stolen base potentially. Regardless of how they do it, Kike will be a crucial piece in the Dodgers beating Bumgarner tonight. Bumgarner has already seen the Dodgers three times this season and owns them with a 0.95 ERA but has gone 0-2 due to no run support. Don’t stack the Dodgers but Hernandez is a viable play at such cheap pricing.

Charlie Blackmon, COL vs. ARI *Early*

DK ($3,400)   FD ($5,500)

Colorado kills Ray. The Rockies own a .337 team BA in 191 at-bats. The batters with the most impressive stats are easily, Blackmon, Desmond, and Arenado. These players are batting a combined 38 for 90 with eight home runs in 90 at-bats. Lock and load this stack please and thank you. You won’t regret it. The Rockies are underdogs by -160 with a 9 under/over.

Other Option: Justin Upton

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Day:

Early slate MKF game, you know what that means. No work gets done today, we’ll all be checking our phones every two minutes for the updates on the Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game. We’re going to go with game flow, making four of these five picks pretty simple. For the back three including: Story, Blackmon and Arenado, we’re going with the OVER. I do think this will be a seven+ run effort by the Rockies and consequently Robbie Ray at 6.5 strikeouts seems a little high. Especially since the Rockies have only struck out 48 times over their last six games, ranking them eighth lowest in the league. The Rockies are seeing the ball well and Robbie Ray WILL have a tough time against them today in a hitter’s park.

The last prop is tough. Jeff Hoffman at 3.5 strikeouts isn’t an easy call but consider the Diamondbacks have the third least strikeouts over the past week and rank 14th in the league with 644 strikeouts. We’re going with the UNDER. This is clearly not the strikeout prone Arizona offense we’ve come to know from past seasons. They are seeing the ball well and Hoffman should have a tough day. So, To be clear, from left to right: UNDER, UNDER, OVER, OVER, OVER. And for the record, I do think Trevor Story plays. Get in on this game and get 100 percent bonus!

Minnesota Twins

The Royals will be starting Glenn Sparkman on Thursday. This season he has a 5.23 SIERA and a 5.24 xFIP. He is allowing a 41.5% hard contact rate and has an unflattering 13% K-rate. The Kansas City hurler is awfully predictable, as he is throwing his four seam fastball 64% of the time.

Look for theTwins’ offense to jump on that fastball in this one. They have crushed rightiesin 2019. They have a .244 ISO and a .351 wOBA collectively against right-handedpitching. You will want to go four deep on FanDuel and five deep on DraftKingswith this stack.

Los Angeles Angels

One of the rules of DFS is to never walk away from a heater. We have been riding the Angels all week so there is no reason to look elsewhere today. Over the last seven days, Los Angeles has a .251 ISO and a .336 wOBA.

A matchup with Toronto’s Clayton Richard is not likely to put out this Angels’ hot streak. He has a 5.96 SIERA and a 5.62 xFIP on the season. And in his career versus this current Angels’ roster, Richard has allowed a .352/.398/.577 slash line. Los Angeles should continue to streak in this one.

Stacks

Colorado Rockies

We’re going to start with stacks as we lock in my favorite of the night, the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies are facing Cal Quantrill. He is a right-handed rookie who has yet to play in a stadium like Coors. We saw a high-scoring affair last night and you can expect another one tonight for the Rockies. Quantrill’s Splits are clearly more advantageous towards left-handed batters, as he’s allowing a .333 BA to opposing lefties with three home runs in 63 at-bats. San Diego used four of their relievers last night to carry them through 5.2 innings and allowed nine runs by the end of it all. I think you can expect a similar output tonight against the rookie right hander.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers are my late night hammer, as they face San Francisco and Drew Pomeranz. He is a shell of his former self. His ERA is up, opposing batting averages are through the roof and despite playing in a pitcher’s park, Pomeranz is still exhibiting poor numbers at home with a 5.23 ERA. Pomeranz has yet to face the Brewers this season but I fully expect Milwaukee to take advantage of this struggling starter.

Batters

First Base

Ryan O’Hearn, KAN vs. MIN

DK ($3,000)   FD ($2,500)

O’Hearn has been ice cold lately. But honestly, he’s been in the lineup against a lot of tough lefties, which just isn’t his game. O’Hearn mainly performs best against hard throwing right-handed pitchers. The manager is trying to get him going with at-bats. With that said, tonight he’ll face right hander Kyle Gibson. Gibson has 4.50 June ERA and is getting killed by left-handed batters, allowing a .268 BA with seven homers to opposing lefties. Kansas City tagged Gibson for a 9.64 ERA in one start with a .364 team BA in that game. O’Hearn needs to get going and should get back on track tonight against the struggling Gibson.

Second Base

Mike Moustakas MIL at SF

DK ($5,200)   FD ($4,000)

Moustakas has 21 home runs on the season, third most in the league. At a weak position on FanDuel and DraftKings, lock in a guy that will give you a high floor as well as a potentially high ceiling. Drew Pomeranz stinks. How’s that for you? I can actually just rattle off any stats. How about his .317 allowed BA to opposing righties or his 9.88 ERA over the past month? Pomeranz does NOT currently have the stuff to compete with the Brewers lineup. I do think Milwaukee is the late night hammer and stacking them would be wise. The Brewers are favored by -135 with an 8.5 under/over.

Third Base

Matt Chapman, SEA vs. OAK

DK ($4,200)   FD ($3,800)

Matt Chapman owns a .385 BA in 13 at-bats against Marco Gonzales. In those at-bats, Chapman has hit four doubles. With an under/over of nine, favoring Oakland by -180, Chapman should have plenty of opportunities for runs and RBI. Chapman should be sitting in the three hole, which is the perfect spot for a killer DFS performance.

Shortstop

Paul DeJong, STL vs. NYM

DK ($4,200)   FD ($3,800)

DeJong is 5-for-6 against Steven Matz with one double and two home runs. Tonight he should be sitting in the five hole and just homered last night. The only thing I would like to see is a better stadium, as it’s tough to homer in Citi Field. But I think all things considered, DeJong hits value tonight with St. Louis being slight underdogs with a 8.5 under/over.

**Remember, last night’s game will be finished from 6-7:30 tonight. They’ll be warmed up by first pitch of the second game for sure!**

Outfield

David Peralta, ARI at WSH

DK ($4,000)   FD ($3,600)

David Peralta has a tough matchup against Max Scherzer tonight in Washington. Peralta actually has good numbers against Scherzer, hitting .357 in 14 at-bats with two doubles and two home runs. Peralta should be low owned and carries high upside despite facing a tough pitcher in Scherzer. The Diamondbacks are underdogs with a 7.5 under/over. Slightly risky, but a solid play at low ownership.

Adam Jones, ARI at WSH

DK ($3,900)   FD ($3,100)

Adam Jones has four home runs against Scherzer and a .371 BA in 35 at-bats. If Arizona can get past Scherzer, they’ll be facing one of THE worst bullpens in the league, with a 4.66 ERA. Jones, Peralta and Marte could be an interesting, low-owned stack against one of the best pitchers in the league.

Minnesota Twins

If you areplaying the early or all-day slates, you will want to be sure to get someexposure to the Twins. Minnesota has demonstrated an ability to hit the longball against lefties this season. As an offense they have a .212 ISO and a .373wOBA versus southpaws. Their success against lefties should continue today atthe expense of Yusei Kikuchi.

The Seattle starter is allowing a .348 wOBA to righties this season.  And the best righty stick on the Twins belongs to Nelson Cruz (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,800). The slugger has a .424 ISO and a .443 wOBA against lefties this season.

There are a good number of options to pair with Cruz that will make for a dangerous stack. C.J. Cron (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,600) owns a .404 ISO versus lefties. Miguel Sano (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,300), Mitch Garver (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $5,200), Bryon Buxton (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,400) and Ehire Adrianza (FanDuel: $2,200 DraftKings: $3,300) all have ISOs greater than .220 against southpaws this season.

The Minnesotaoffense has all the makings of a DFS winner on Thursday.

Colorado Rockies

The San Diego Padres will be activating Matt Strahm from the IL in time to make the start on Thursday. This is very good news for the Rockies’ sluggers. Strahm owns a 42.3% flyball rate. Not only does he allow a bunch of flyballs, the Padres’ starter has a 47.2% hard contact rate. A flyball pitcher that gets hit hard will be starting in Colorado, what could go wrong?

Plan on a lot going wrong for the Padres’ southpaw. The Rockies should do plenty of damage against Strahm. And that damage is likely to come from Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,800 DraftKings: $5,600). The third baseman has punished lefties all season with a .391 ISO and a .467 wOBA versus them. Our projections really like Arenado as well. Click here to sign up for our gold premium package that includes the projections, Slack channel access and much more.

And Arenadoisn’t alone when it comes to giving lefties a tough time. Ian Desmond (FanDuel:$3,600 DraftKings: $4,400), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,300),Charlie Blackmon (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,800) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel:$2,700 DraftKings: $3,600) all have ISOs above .200 versus lefties this season.

The Rockies’ offense will be popular today and deservedly so.

New York Yankees

The ChicagoWhite Sox’s Ivan Nova enters play today with the highest ERA of any startingpitcher for Thursday. The best part about picking on Nova is that he hasstruggled against both sides of the plate. He is allowing a .357 wOBA torighties, while surrendering a .406 wOBA to lefties.

So feel free to pick any Yankees for your Daily Fantasy lineups. But you most likely will want to start that New York build with Gary Sanchez (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,500). The catcher has a .392 ISO and a .413 wOBA versus righties this season.

Othertargets for the Bronx Bombers stack include: Gleyber Torres (FanDuel: $3,600DraftKings: $4,600), Aaron Hicks (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,800), LukeVoit (FanDuel: $ DraftKings: $5,100), Brett Gardner (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,300) and Clint Frazier (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,400).Each of these Yankees have ISOs over .235 against righties this season.

Value Stacks: Toronto Blue Jays (FanDuel), ArizonaDiamondbacks (FanDuel), San Diego Padres (DraftKings)

Chicago Cubs

The ColoradoRockies’ Antonio Senzatela is struggling this season with a slate high 5.43SIERA. The Rockies’ right-hander is producing just a 16.29% whiff rate and willbe pitching in hitter-friendly Coors Field tonight. Senzatela has particularlystruggled with lefties this season with a .416 wOBA and a 1.93 HR/9 allowed tothem.

So, start your Cubs stack with Anthony Rizzo (FanDuel: $4,700, DraftKings: $5,600). The power hitting left-handed first baseman has a .301 ISO and a .418 wOBA versus righties this season. But also consider that Senzatela is primarily a fastball pitcher as he has thrown that pitch on 64.6% of the time. That also plays into Rizzo’s strong suit. The first baseman has a .315 ISO this season against the fastball.

Otherleft-handed bats to consider are: Kyle Schwarber (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings:$5,000) and Carlos Gonzalez (FanDuel: $3,300, DraftKings: $3,300). Both outfieldershave ISOs greater than .220 against righties this season.

Of course, you can pick from some of the right-handed sticks as well as Kris Bryant (FanDuel: $4,500, DraftKings: $5,500), Javy Baez (FanDuel: $4,300, DraftKings: $5,500) and Willson Contreras (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings: $5,200) are always in play.

The Cubs will likely be the chalk on Wednesday but for good reasons. Load up on Chicago bats.

Cleveland Indians

The Cincinnati Reds’ Anthony DeSclafani is a pitcher you definitely want to stack against whenever he takes the bump. The veteran right-hander is allowing a 43.2% flyball rate that has resulted in 2.12 HR/9 so far in 2019. DeSclafani has really struggled with left-handed batters. The Reds’ starter is allowing a .414 wOBA, a 44.8% hard contact rate and 2.93 HR/9 to the lefty sticks this season.

Your Cleveland build will start with Carlos Santana (FanDuel: $3,500, DraftKings: $4,600) and Francisco Lindor (FanDuel: $3,900, DraftKings: $5,200). Both of these lefty sticks have ISOs over .245 against right-handed pitching this season.

Over theirlast seven the Cleveland offense has a .313 ISO and a .343 wOBA. So feel freeto make this a three or four man stack and include the likes of Jose Ramirez (FanDuel:$3,100, DraftKings: $3,500) and Jake Bauers (FanDuel: $2,600, DraftKings: $3,200).

Boston Red Sox

Texas’ Lance Lynn has a respectable 4.39 ERA this season but is getting hit hard. Most notably, he is allowing a 42.1% hard contact rate to RHBs

The Boston build, of course, will need to include Mookie Betts (FanDuel: $4,200, DraftKings: $4,400). The Red Sox outfielder homered on Tuesday and has a .222 ISO against right-handed pitching in 2019. Also keep in mind that the Rangers’ Lynn is throwing his fastball almost 49% of the time. This is a bonus for Betts, as he has a .256 ISO against such pitch this season.

Also consider Xander Bogaerts (FanDuel: $4,000, DraftKings: $4,300), as he has a .363 wOBA versus righties. J.D. Martinez (FanDuel: $4,000, DraftKings: $4,500) owns a .324 batting average against fastballs this season, so he clearly needs to be in your player pool as well. Rafael Devers (FanDuel: $3,800, DraftKings: $4,100) also has killed the fastball this season, with a .256 ISO. You can use Andrew Benintendi (FanDuel: $3,600, DraftKings: $4,000) as well.

The Red Sox should provide plenty of hard contact againstLynn.

Other Stacks to Consider: Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins.

Value Stacks: Baltimore Orioles (FanDuel), Toronto Blue Jays (FanDuel), San Diego Padres (FanDuel), Cincinnati Reds (FanDuel/DraftKings).

Kansas City looks to be the only game with any weather issues but even here it looks like it will be late in the game and bats should not be affected.

  1. Cubs/Rockies: I will group these teams together as they are playing in the same park, Coors Field and the weather will almost be a carbon copy of yesterday. Pay attention to last night’s boxscore, how many bullpen arms did they use? Also, an interesting fact, both these pitchers (Quintana and Lambert) just faced each other at Wrigley a few days ago. Use this to gauge how the batters may do against them this time around. And did I mention that Quintana is a lefty?
  2. Rays: Mike Fiers pitched a no-hitter about a month ago. Why do I want to pick on him? Because this is the Rays! Brandon Lowe and Austin Meadows are burgeoning superstars. The Rays have made the Trop their offensive haven. Look for the Rays to put a whooping on Fiers.
  3. Nationals: Man, a fire has been burning under this team’s butt, both offensively and defensively! We saw Mad Max and Stras pitch great games but did you see the Nats hit four consecutive HRs this weekend? Turner, Rendon, Dozier, Soto, Eaton have all hit the ball really well, making this lineup a deep one that can put up runs in a hurry.
  4. Braves/Pirates: Let’s end this article how we began, with a duo of teams hitting in a strong batter’s park. These two teams combined to batter each other on the scoreboard and almost physically as Josh Donaldson baited Joe Musgrove into an early exit last night. Well, like I mentioned in #1 above, both teams had to go deep in their bullpens last night (especially the Pirates who got only 2/3rds of an inning out of the previously mentioned Musgrove).

Catcher – Gary Sanchez vs. David Price

FanDuel: $4,100 DraftKings: $5,400

The Yankees’ catcher has a .310 ISO versus left-handed pitchers in 2019. Sanchez will take on Price, who he has owned in the past. Sanchez is 6-for-13 with five home runs in his career against the Boston starter. Sanchez should take advantage and keep crushing southpaws in this one.

Values:

Wilson Ramos (FanDuel: $2,700)

Wellington Castillo (DraftKings: $3,000)

First Base – Daniel Murphy vs. Aaron Sanchez

FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,900

Murphy has a .400/.478/.500 slash line against groundball pitchers this season. With the Toronto Blue Jays’ Aaron Sanchez owning a slate high 51.2% groundball rate look for Murphy to shine on Sunday.

Values:

Eric Thames (FanDuel: $2,500)

Kendrys Morales (DraftKings: $2,700)

Second Base –  Ketel Marte vs. Steven Matz

FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,400

The Diamondbacks’ Marte has a .313 ISO, a .542 wOBA and a 241 wRC+ versus left-handed pitching in 2019. Look for those numbers to jump up after this meeting with Steven Matz. The southpaw is allowing a 44.1% hard contact rate and 1.82 HR/9 against right-handed batters this season.

Values:

Cavan Biggio (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $4,000)

Nick Lopez (FanDuel: $2,700 DraftKings:$3,500)

Third Base – Nolan Arenado vs. Aaron Sanchez

FanDuel: $4,800 DraftKings: $5,800

The Rockies’ third baseman at is always tough to pass up at home and the same holds true today. He has a .235 ISO versus right-handed pitching in 2019. Arenado has a .280 ISO at home. And finally, he faces the Blue Jays’ Aaron Sanchez, who as mentioned earlier, is an extreme groundball pitcher. Well, Arenado has a .343/.410/.571 slash line against groundball pitchers this season.

Values:

Pablo Sandoval (FanDuel: $2,400)

Jeimer Candelario (DraftKings: $2,700)

Shortstop –Trevor Story vs. Aaron Sanchez

FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,900

Trevor Stroy is running pure right now. In his last seven contests, he owns a .444 ISO, .561 wOBA and a 240 wRC+. For good measure, he has even added in two stolen bases. Never walk away from a heater. Instead, trust this Story has a good finish on Sunday.

Values:

Trea Turner (DraftKings: $4,600)

Brandon Crawford (FanDuel: $2,500)

Outfield –  Christian Yelich vs. Jordan Lyles

FanDuel: $4,700 DraftKings: $5,600

Christian Yelich continues to put up video game-like numbers against right-handed pitching. He has a .449 ISO and a .484 wRC+ against righties this season. With the Pirates’ Lyles struggling with lefties this year, Yelich should get into a couple here.

Outfield – Mookie Betts vs. C.C. Sabathia

FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,000

Mookie has done well against C.C. Sabathia in the past. In their career matchups, Betts owns a 1.050 OPS against the Yankees’ starter. With Sabathia allowing a .345 wOBA, 2.43 HR/9 and a 44% hard contact rate to righties, the Red Sox’s outfielder is in a spot to build on those numbers.

Outfield – Mike Trout vs. Marco Gonzales

FanDuel: $4,800 Draftkings: $5,400

Anytime you can get the best player in baseball in your DFS lineup, it is probably a good idea. Trout is in a great spot to succeed in this one. Against lefties this year, Trout has a .305 ISO and a .409 wOBA.

Values:

Randal Grichuk (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,200)

Derek Fisher (FanDuel: $2,200)

Christin Stewart (FanDuel: $2,600 DraftKings: $3,200)

Top Stacks

Colorado Rockies:

When you have a game in Coors Field, you always try to cram in Rockies’ bats into your DFS lineups. Today is no different especially with the Blue Jays’ Aaron Sanchez on the bump. The Blue Jays’ right-hander has a 4.99 SIERA and a 5.33 SIERA  in 2019. Now he will pitch in Colorado ‘s thin air. Things surely are set up for the Rockies’ offense to succeed at home on Sunday.

Toronto Blue Jays:

Antonio Senzatela could be in for a long one here. The Rockies’ starter has a 5.81 ERA and the peripherals don’t suggest there will be improvements any time soon. Senzatela owns a 4.95 xFIP and a 5.35 SIERA this season. And he is not missing many bats these days as he has a low 15.98% whiff rate. Senzatela should be in trouble early and often here so stack up all the Blue Jays that you can.

Texas Rangers:

The Royals’ Brad Keller is a guy we want to attack today. He has the highest SIERA of the starters for MLB’s Sunday action. But equally important is the fact that the Rangers have crushed right-handed pitching all season. The Rangers have a .213 ISO against righties.

Kansas City Royals:

The Rangers’ Adrian Sampson has a 46.9% hard contact rate this season, but he is also allowing a 40.2% flyball rate. This should play into the hands of the Royals’ batters, especially the right-handed ones. Sampson is allowing .393 wOBA, 45.4% hard contact rate and a 1.88 HR/9 to right-handed bats this season.

Value Stack

LA Dodgers:

Besides Cody Bellinger, all other Dodgers’ batters are grossly underpriced, particularly on FanDuel. With the Phillies starting Nick Pivetta, the Dodgers’ stack not only allows you to pay up for some other of the big bats but they are also in a position to do some damage themselves. Los Angeles has a .216 ISO versus right-handed pitching in 2019. Pay particular attention to the Dodgers’ lefties as Pivetta is allowing a .457 wOBA to them this season.

Here are thetop teams to stack for MLB’s May 29th action:

EARLY SLATE

Cincinnati Reds

The Pirates’ Steven Brault is a guy we want to attack when he takes the bump for Pittsburgh. The left-handed pitcher has a robust 7.11 ERA. And his other numbers for this season aren’t any better. Brault has a 5.46 SIERA and a 5.85 xFIP. The Pittsburgh starter also is getting hit hard with a 44.9% hard contact rate, making the Reds look like a juicy stacking option for Thursday.

The building blocks for this stack will be Eugenio Suarez (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,900) and Nick Senzel (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $4,900). Both of these right-handed bats have at least a .300 ISO against lefties in 2019. And while he doesn’t have great numbers against southpaws this season, how do you not chase yesterday’s three home run performance by Derek Dietrich (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,900)?

Other Reds to look at it include: Kyle Farmer (FanDuel: $2,100 DraftKings: $3,800) and Yasiel Puig (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,200). Both Cincinnati bats have over .200 ISOs against lefties in 2019.

Seattle Mariners

The Rangers’ Drew Smyly is struggling this season with a 6.15 ERA and is allowing 2.14 HR/9. With seven Mariners owning an ISO of over .200 against southpaws in 2019, the Texas starter’s struggles should continue in this one.

These seven players should be the emphasis of your stack: Jay Bruce (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $4,300), Domingo Santana (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,500), Daniel Vogelbach (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $5,300), Tim Beckham (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,800), Mitch Haniger (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,400), Omar Narvaez (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,200) and Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,500).

Los Angeles Angels

Since returning to the big leagues, the Athletics’ Daniel Mengden has been hit really hard by opposing offenses. In fact, he has allowed a 50% hard contact rate. The hard contact has resulted in him having a 6.07 SIERA and a 6.11 xFIP. The Angels’ offense should be able to hit some balls awfully hard against the young Oakland right-hander here and make for a great value play to combine with Cincinnati or Seattle.

Mike Trout (FanDuel:$4,700 DraftKings: $5,500), Kole Calhoun (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,100),Albert Pujols (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500), Shohei Ohtani (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,500) and Tommy La Stella (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $3,900)all have produced at least a 45% hard contact rate against righties in 2019.

MAIN SLATE

Arizona Diamondbacks

Winning DFS lineups for today’s slate will likely be loaded with Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies will be running Jeff Hoffman out to the bump. The right-handed starter has not fared well at Coors Field in his career. Hoffman has allowed a .303/.376/.541 slash line in 86.1 innings pitched in Colorado. Hoffman also has a 5.20 xFIP and 5.7% K-BB% in those contests. Look for the Diamondbacks to take advantage of this matchup in a big way tonight.

The Diamondbacks’ build must start with Eduardo Escobar (FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,700). The third baseman is red hot. He has scored double-digit fantasy points per game for a week now.  His hot streak should continue on Wednesday. Escobar has crushed against righties this season. He owns a .250 ISO and a .351 wOBA against them. You can build around Escobar with a combination of Adam Jones (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300) and Ketel Marte (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,500) as well. Each of these Diamondbacks’ hitters have .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitching in 2019.

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies have had Robbie Ray’s number throughout his career. In 106 at-bats against the current Colorado roster, the Arizona starter has allowed a .302/.395/.586 slash line with a .982 OPS. Of the 32 hits Ray has allowed to the current Rockies’ hitters, 16 of them have been for extra bases. And seven of those have left the yard. The success against Ray should continue tonight as the Rockies’ offense has a.209 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

When building your Rockies’ stack, of course you will want to start the construction with Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,900 DraftKings: $5,600). The infielder has crushed lefties this season. He has a .466 ISO and a .516 wOBA versus them. Also, he has killed Ray in the past. Arenado has a 1.289 career OPS against the Diamondbacks’ pitcher.

You also need to consider Ian Desmond (FanDuel: $3,500DraftKings: $3,900). The outfielder has an ISO of .321 versus lefties in 2019.He also has a 1.289 career OPS versus Ray. Chris Iannetta (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,700), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,100), DanielMurphy (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100), Raimel Tapia (FanDuel: $3,200DraftKings: $4,100) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500)should all be considered. Each of those Rockies’ hitters have .200-plus ISOsagainst left-handed pitching in 2019.

Kansas City Royals

The ChicagoWhite Sox’s Reynaldo Lopez has struggled this season. The Right-hander has a5.09 SIERA and a 5.81 xFIP. Lopez has also allowed a 53.6% flyball rate and a40.9% hard contact rate. In addition to his 2019 struggles, Lopez has also hada difficult time with the Royals in his career. Against the current Royals’roster, the Chicago starter has allowed a .301 batting average and a .382 on-basepercentage.

Hunter Dozier(FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,100) and Jorge Soler (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,400) are great building blocks to a Royals’ stack. Both KansasCity hitter have ISO’s of at least .275 against right-handed pitcher but theyalso have .900-plus OPS against flyball pitchers.

Alex Gordon (FanDuel:$3,400 DraftKings: $4,800) and Adalberto Mondesi (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,500)also have produced at least a .200 ISO against righties in 2019. While WhitMerrifield (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,200) has a .364 wOBA and a 127 wRC+against right-handed pitching this season.

Philadelphia Phillies

The St.Louis Cardinals will be starting Genesis Cabrera. The left-handed pitcher has a6.35 ERA in Triple-A this season. In 39.2 innings pitched for the Memphis Cardinals,Cabrera has allowed 43 hits and 19 walks that have led to 28 earned runs. ThePhillies are likely going to provide a rude welcome the Cardinals’ starter.

Jean Segura (FanDuel:$3,900 DraftKings: $4,800), J.T. Realmuto (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,600),Scott Kingery (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,100), Rhys Hoskins (FanDuel: $4,400DraftKings: $4,900) and Bryce Harper (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $4,500) allwill be part of the welcoming party. Each of these players have recorded atleast a .200 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

Baltimore Orioles

The Tigers’Ryan Carpenter has had a rough go to the start of his 2019 campaign. He isallowing 3.21 HR/9 while maintaining a 9.00 ERA. While we usually stack againstthe Orioles, today you want to stack with the Orioles.

This stackwill of course start with Trey Mancini (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,000).While he is not a cheap part of the stack, he is an owner of a .283 ISO and a.430 wOBA versus lefties this season.

The other bat to consider starting the Baltimore stack with is Pedro Severino (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $3,900). Severino has a .300-plus ISOs against lefties this season.

Good luckand happy stacking!
