This article discusses a core for DFS players to build around for today’s DraftKings NBA slate. While there are many different sports and various contests pertaining to DFS along with their respective strategies, we focus on the main approaches to build both reliable cash and GPP lineups for a successful NBA night including pace, the projected over/under, one on one matchups, and a team’s defensive rating. Make sure to stay active when building NBA lineups – if you cannot be in front of a computer, tablet, or on your phone an hour before lock do not throw your money away! NBA DFS lineups can change at the blink of an eye and is the most variable compared to any other sport in DFS; players get injured, some sit for load management, and others find themselves on the DNP list for other reasons; any of which can sway your lineup and where to find value. Stay alert on the WinDaily Discord chat to follow along with our updated plays. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

ZachLavine, Chicago Bulls, PG/SG ($8,100)

In a pace up spot versus the Washington Wizards, I expect Zach Lavine to thrive in tonight’s NBA matchup. With Bradley Beal putting his utmost effort into his offensive game and attempting to keep his Wizards in games, he virtually plays no defense. Washington allows an average of 28.04/5.93/6.07/1.56/0.48 to 2-guards resulting in 49.28 DraftKings points per game. With the potential to pick up a few steals with Beal’s usage through the roof combined with Washington allowing four three-pointers per game to shooting guards, Lavine will be one of my main NBA targets tonight.

SethCurry, Dallas Mavericks, PG/SG ($4,700)

Without All-NBA talent Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks turned to their depth at the guard position to carry the load versus the Milwaukee Bucks the other night. Replacement starter Jalen Brunson ($6,000) is priced way up on tonight’s NBA slate and Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,100) draws another tough matchup versus Jaylen Brown. Look for Seth Curry to channel his inner Steph Curry tonight by doing what the family does best: knocking down all kinds of three-pointers. Curry had 38.3 DK points in Dallas’ first game without Doncic.

Davis Bertans, Washington Wizards, SF/PF ($6,500)

With Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryant, and Moritz Wagner all OUT for the Washington Wizards, Davis Bertans will be asked to carry a heavy workload tonight versus the Chicago Bulls. Allowing a league-worst 54.75 DK points per game to NBA power forwards, Bertans will be launching shots from deep and attacking the glass all night versus a Bulls frontcourt we like to attack every game.

TristanThompson, Cleveland Cavaliers, C ($5,900)

With many viable pay up spots available to us on tonight’s NBA slate such as Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,700), Joel Embiid ($9,800), and Kristaps Porzingis ($8,300), Tristan Thompson will be the one I want to target in many of my NBA lineups. He frees up salary in order to spend up elsewhere and is in a great matchup versus a Charlotte Hornets squad on the second night of a back-to-back. The Hornets are searching for answers to their frontcourt woes by starting both Bismack Biyombo and Cody Zeller by that won’t stop Thompson from feasting on the NBA’s worst team versus the center position; the Hornets allow a league-high 61.06 DK points to centers. With the Cavaliers monitoring Kevin Love’s minutes as they continue to search for a trade partner, look for Thompson to lock down a double-double in a smash spot.

NBA Games to Target

  • Chicago Bulls vs Washington Wizards (230.5over/under)
  • Toronto Raptors vs Detroit Pistons (217over/under)
  • New Orleans Pelicans vs MinnesotaTimberwolves (231.5 over/under)
  • Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers (209over/under)

We have a four-game slate at both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight and plenty of ways for us to go and build successful lineups. The following are my NBA DFS Core plays and thoughts for December 17. 2019

NBA DFS Core 4

Spencer Dinwiddie (7,500)

Dinwiddie has been a star without Irving and Levert, but he isn’t priced like one. Going against a Pelicans team that allows 62 fantasy points per game to the point guard position, and plays at an increased pace makes this a smash spot.

RJ Barrett (4,500)

Barrett really burnt me on Sunday, but that won’t stop me from going back at this price. In the last 2 games, Barrett has still played over 30 minutes and taken at least 10 shots. Against Atlanta’s bad defense, his efficiency could go up leading to a ceiling game at this price.

Trae Young (9,900)

Young is a guy I usually don’t play. However, on this slate, I’m leaning towards stacking Atlanta and New York. Young leads this game with a 1.37 fantasy points per minute rate and if the game stays close, he can easily surpass that.

Mikal Bridges (4,400)

Bridges have started the last 2 games with Booker out. In those games, e has scored 31 and 27 fantasy points. Bridges should get the best individual matchup against Shamet on the Clippers. He has been a .8 fantasy point per minute player and has gotten about 30 minutes a game as a starter.

NBA Player Pool

PG: Trae Young, Spencer Dinwiddie, Lonzo Ball, Elfrid Payton, Landry Shamet

SG: Jrue Holiday, RJ Barrett, Josh Hart, Garrett Temple, Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk

SF: Lebron James, Brandon Ingram, Marcus Morris, Taurean Prince, De’ Andre Hunter, Mikal Bridges, Cam Reddish

PF: Julius Randle, Jarrett Allen, Marvin Bagley, Jabari Parker, Nemanja Bjelica, Marvin Williams

C: Nikola Vucevic, Mitchell Robinson, Bismack Biyombo, Jaxson Hayes, Damian Jones, JaVale McGee

Welcome Back, Everyone! Tonights’ main NBA slate on FanDuel has a total of 6 games and the first two match-ups tip-off at 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Tonight’s slate has a handful of studs but it also has a plethora of value tossed in there. This article will guide you through my favorite picks for tonight. As always, Good luck!

NBA Schedule:

LAL @ IND – At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time

SAC @ CHA – At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time

ATL @ NY – At 7:30 P.M. Eastern Time

BKN @ NO – At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time

ORL @ UTA – At 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time

PHO @ LAC – At 10:30 P.M. Eastern Time

Top PG Picks:

Trae Young – FD: ($10,000)

Young is a great play on FanDuel tonight as he gets set to take on the Knicks. They are currently ranked 28th defensively when guarding the PG position. That bodes well for the sophomore’s fantasy value. On average, Young is getting roughly 44 fantasy points per game on the season. Tonight he should be able to hit that floor and show off a little bit of his high ceiling. Look for him to have a floor of 45 fantasy points on FanDuel tonight.

Spencer Dinwiddie – FD: ($8,300)

Dinwiddie is another PG on the slate who draws a solid defensive match-up. It’s no secret that Dinwiddie is carrying a large usage rating at the moment due to all the injuries. He has now recorded at least 33 points on FanDuel in each of his last 15 games. He is consistently contributing in all categories and tonight’s match-up against the Pelicans is just the type of game he wants. This should be an up-tempo game and Dinwiddie will be dropping dimes and letting it fly. He has a floor of 35 points on FanDuel tonight.

Elfrid Payton – FD: ($5,500)

Payton comes in at a reasonable price tag on FanDuel tonight and he makes for a solid DFS play. He is coming off his best game of the year against Denver two nights ago where he dropped 10 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds, and 1 steal in just 25 minutes of action. We have seen these types of numbers before from Payton in the past so I feel this isn’t just a fluke. The small amounts of playing time are my only concern here. Otherwise, he should have a floor of 24 fantasy points on FanDuel tonight.

Top SG Picks:

Devonte’ Graham – FD: ($8,100)

Graham has currently racked up at least 34 points on FanDuel in each of his last 11 contests now. There is no one on Charlotte that has been as consistent as him. He played Sacramento earlier in the year before his role was as prominent and in that one he put up 12 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds in 30 minutes of action. Sacramento is also ranked 21st in the NBA against opposing PG’s when it comes to the defensive. Graham should be his usual self tonight and expect a floor of 35 points on FanDuel.

RJ Barrett – FD: ($6,300)

Barrett has been up and down all season long. However, what do you expect from a rookie on one of the worst NBA teams… Nevertheless, New York has a great match-up tonight against Atlanta that should stay competitive all throughout. He’s had two poor outings in a row now against some solid defensive teams. Tonight should be a lot easier for him on the offensive end as Atlanta is ranked 30th in the NBA against opposing SG’s. Look for Barrett to have a floor of 28 points on FanDuel tonight.

Bogdan Bogdanovic – FD: ($5,500)

Bogdanovic is a tough play tonight because of how many mouths there are to feed on Sacramento. Not to mention, they are almost up to full health now. Either way, Bogdanovic is in a tough spot because he could start on the majority of NBA rosters. I do think he may be a little bit chalky tonight, but he has a great match-up and is more than capable of piling up a big stat line. Don’t roll with him in every lineup, but sprinkle him in there tonight.

Top SF Picks:

LeBron James – FD: ($11,000)

LBJ continues to be an absolute force for the Lakers as he just rolled passed Atlanta with 32 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal in 36 minutes of action. On paper, L.A. draws a tougher match-up against Indiana who is ranked number 1 against opposing SF’s. However, LeBron is actually a PG so that throws a wrench right through that statistic. In Fact, Indiana is actually ranked 24th in the leaguers Vs. opposing PG’s. That bodes well for Bron as be will undoubtedly want to continue winning tonight. Look for his usual floor tonight of 50 points on FanDuel.

Jonathan Isaac – FD: ($5,800)

Isaac has been a little sporadic this season but when he shows up, boy does he SHOW up. Two nights ago against New Orleans, Isaac dropped 21 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in 32 minutes of action. Isaac is a two-way player, meaning he gets it done on both ends of the court. The good news here is that Nikola Vucevic made his return in that game and played a healthy 25 minutes. It didn’t seem to have an effect on Isaac and his efficiency. He should have a floor of 30 points on tonight’s NBA slate.

Marcus Morris – FD: ($6,200)

Morris is one of my favorite value plays on the entire slate tonight as he is priced at just $6,200 on FanDuel. He would be having an even better season statistically if it weren’t for the plethora of lop-sided losses the Knicks have taken this season. There have been several games where Morris is playing well, but the rest of the team is getting destroyed. Tonight we shouldn’t have to worry about any of that as he will be taking on Atlanta and their poor defense. ATL is currently ranked 22nd in the NBA against opposing SF’s. I expect him to let it fly in this one while grabbing 6+ rebounds. He has a floor of 28 points on FanDuel tonight.

TJ Warren – FD: ($4,800)

Warren is my sleeper pick at the SF position tonight as we have watched his price in DFS plummet over the past week. Indiana has a ton of options on the offensive end and when Oladipo comes back in a few weeks, things will get even more chaotic. For now, Warren is priced at $4,800 on FanDuel and he is averaging roughly 26 fantasy points per game. However, he has also put up 30+ points on FanDuel in at least 9 games this year. His shot is usually what will ‘Make or Break’ him. I wouldn’t put him in a lot of lineups, but if you need to buy low, he is definitely a nice pivot. Look for Warren to have a floor of 25 points on FanDuel tonight.

Top PF Picks:

Anthony Davis – FD: ($10,700)

As long as he plays, AD is a solid pick against Indiana. I first checked the injury report and didn’t bat an eye when I saw AD was questionable. But then I looked and saw that in said ‘Ankle injury’, and it wasn’t’ in fact just his problem shoulder. If Davis is going to miss time tonight’s game, then LBJ would be a nice pivot. Either way, Davis is the main focal point of the offense and that isn’t going to change. If he plays, look for his usual floor of roughly 50 fantasy points on FanDuel.

Julius Randle – FD: ($7,600)

Randle has had a pretty pedestrian season so far but has recently been showing some signs of life. He has now recorded at least 35 points on FanDuel in four out of his last five games. Tonight he gets a great match-up against an Atlanta team that has a pretty poor defense. He is next to Jarrett Allen and Marvin Bagley on the slate. I value Randle the most out of the three because he will get the minutes tonight. Whereas Bagley is limited and Brooklyn is terrible at giving Allen playing time. Look for Randle to have a floor of 35 fantasy points on FanDuel tonight.

Dario Saric – FD: ($5,400)

I feel like a lot of people are going to go with Frank the Tank Kaminsky tonight because of his recent success and lower price. However, Saric has played arguably just as well during that same stretch. On top of that, I expect Devin Booker to make his return tonight. Ultimately leaving Kaminsky with a little less run tonight. Saric will benefit from Booker coming back because of how much attention he demands. Look for Saric to have a floor of 30 points on FanDuel tonight.

Top C Picks:

Nikola Vucevic – FD: ($7,900)

Vucevic made his return from injury two nights ago against New Orleans where he put up 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 29 minutes of action. It was very positive seeing him play a hefty 29 minutes after missing Orlando’s last 11 games. Tonight he gets a solid match-up against Utah who is currently ranked 21st in the NBA Vs. opposing C’s. If I pay up at this position tonight, I’m going with Vucevic. He should have a floor of 30 points on tonight’s NBA slate.

Cody Zeller – FD: ($5,700)

Zeller went off in Charlottes last outing where he racked up 19 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block in 29 minutes of action. He doesn’t usually see this much playing time on a nightly basis and Biyombo has been eating into his production as of late. However, Zeller has a great match-up against Sacramento who he played earlier in the season and racked up 12 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists in 34 minutes of action. Look for him to have a floor of 24 points on FanDuel tonight.

Dwight Howard – FD: ($4,400)

Dwight Howard will be in the majority of my lineups if Anthony Davis is to miss tonight’s game. AD is currently dealing with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable going into tonight’s game. Howard would likely see an uptick in his production and minutes. However, I will likely avoid Howard if Davis ends up playing tonight. He’s already splitting time with JaVale McGee which limits his upside. Without AD tonight, look for Howard to have a floor of 25 fantasy points on FanDuel.

PointGuard – Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs ($6,500)

With Coach Gregg Popovich stating that Dejounte Murray is no longer on a minutes restriction last week, we can enjoy one of his last days of being below $7,000 on FanDuel. Playing against the offensive juggernaut that is the Houston Rockets, Dejounte Murray will have to be at his best to keep the Spurs in this one. In a matchup against a turnover-prone Russell Westbrook, who averages 4.4 turnovers per game, expect Murray to collect a few steals coupled with being a double-double candidate. The Spurs come in as +425 underdogs with a 111.5 implied team total.

ShootingGuard – Donte DiVincenzo, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,000)

With Milwaukee Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe already ruled out for their game versus the Dallas Mavericks tonight, replacement starter Donte DiVincenzo is one of the best value plays on the NBA slate at only $4,000 on FanDuel. DiVincenzo is an all-around offensive player that is knocking down shots at a 44.3% rate, including 35.3% from deep. He should see plenty of minutes whether Dallas finds a way to keep this game close or if it ends up being a blowout; DiVincenzo played more minutes than fellow starters Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton in Milwaukee’s blowout victory versus the Cleveland Cavaliers the other night. Milwaukee comes in as -750 favorites with a 119.5 implied team total.

SmallForward – Derrick Jones Jr., Miami Heat ($4,100)

With Justice Winslow and Goran Dragic ruled out for another game tonight, I expect the Miami Heat to continue to run an 8-man rotation. Averaging 28.2 minutes and 8.6/4.4/2/0.6/1.8 over his last five games, Derrick Jones Jr. has solidified his role off the Heat bench along with fellow guard Tyler Herro. In a pace up spot against the NBA’s fifth-fastest team, Derrick Jones Jr. will have ample opportunity to smash his price tag of $4,000 on FanDuel if the Heat choose to deploy a small lineup; Memphis is near the bottom of the NBA in turnover percentage which should result in DJJ picking up a few steals along the way.

PowerForward – Dario Saric, Phoenix Suns ($5,800)

With Devin Booker potentially ruled out for the Phoenix Suns, my exposure to this game shifts to Ricky Rubio and Dario Saric, with Portland stars Damian Lillard and Hassan Whiteside as my preferable targets to run it back in an NBA GPP game stack. With Frank Kaminsky having a terrifying matchup against Hassan Whiteside, I look for Rubio and Saric to carry the load for a Suns team with an implied team total of 114; Saric has the best imaginable matchup against Carmelo Anthony. Sporting a 17.41% usage rate on the season, I expect Saric to be much more involved tonight against the Trail Blazers with Booker nursing a forearm injury.

Center– Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons ($10,000)

With Hassan Whiteside being my preferred play on DraftKings at a mere $8,100, he is priced up on FanDuel at $9,500. For only $500 more, you can get Andre Drummond versus a depleted Washington Wizards frontcourt that is allowing an average of 58.57 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers. Should he play after experiencing eye inflammation because of an allergic reaction, Washington offers a dream matchup to a traditional center like Drummond by being the worst rebounding team in the NBA. With Blake Griffin questionable with a sore knee, I expect Drummond to demolish his 10k price tag and I like this play, even more, should Griffin sit out.

Gamesto Target

  • Washington Wizards vs Detroit Pistons (229over/under)
  • San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets (232over/under)
  • Portland Trail Blazers vs Phoenix Suns(227.5 over/under)
  • Dallas Mavericks vs Milwaukee Bucks (227.5over/under)

We have a four-game slate at both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight and plenty of ways for us to go and build successful lineups. The following are my NBA DFS Core plays and fades for December 10. 2019

NBA DFS Core 4

LeBron James (10,300)

I usually prefer a balanced build approach especially on these smaller slates but with LeBron going against Atlanta I’m going there. The Lakers get a 2.8 pace bump which is the second-highest on the slate. Atlanta has also given up 37.4 fantasy points per game to point guards.

De’Angelo Russell (7,900)

Russell gets the bad defense of the Kings today. This is the fifth-best DVA spot on the slate today, with the Kings giving up an average of almost 50 fantasy points per game. Jamaal Murray is a viable pivot here if the pace of the Kings is concerning.

Kentavius Caldwell-Pope (3,700)

Caldwell-Pope gets the same matchup and pace boost as LeBron and is only 3700, making him an excellent value option on this slate. This is a pivot from Kevin Huerter which should be the chalk at 4k against a stout Lakers defense.

RJ Barrett (5,400)

The Knicks are often favorite tournament targets for me. The starters all come in under 6k except Randle and don’t get priced up for matchup. Targeting the Nuggets usually isn’t a good idea but in this instance, Denver gives 25.4 fantasy points per game to shooting guards.

NBA DFS Player Pool

PG: Ben Simmons, Jamaal Murray, Rajon Rondo, Frank Ntilikina

SG: D; Angelo Russell, Buddy Hield, RJ Barrett, Josh Richardson, KCP

SF: LeBron James, Tobias Harris, Alec Burks, Harrison Barnes, De’Andre Hunter

PF: Richaun Holmes, Marvin Bagley, Jarrett Allen, Jabari Parker, Paul Millsap

C: Willie Caulie-Stein, Mitchell Robinson, DeAndre Jordan, JaVale McGee

Tonight’s main slate on FanDuel has a total of nine games and the first three tips-off at 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time. There’s plenty of quality match-ups on the slate and it’s loaded with value. This article will break down some of my favorite NBA FanDuel Picks for tonight. Good Luck!

-Tonight’s NBA Schedule-
HOU @ ORL- At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
NOP @ PHI- At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
LAL @ MIA- At 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time
IND @ ATL- At 7:30 P.M. Eastern Time
CHA @ CHI- At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
MIL @ MEM- At 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
GSW @ UTA- At 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time
LAC @ MIN- At 9:30 P.M. Eastern Time
NY @ SAC- At 10:00 P.M. Eastern Time

Top PG Picks:

Russell Westbrook: FD – ($10,300)

Russ is in a great spot tonight on FanDuel as Houston gets set to take on Orlando for the first time this NBA season. It’s obvious that Harden will have the most usage in this one. However, Westbrook has begun to get comfortable with him as the season has progressed. He’s now recorded at least 49 points on FanDuel in each of his last 5 games. Orlando has a solid defense and will do their best to stifle Harden’s production. Look for Russ to have a floor of 45 fantasy points tonight.

Eric Bledsoe – FD: ($6,700)

If Antetokounmpo misses tonight’s action, Bledsoe is an automatic lock in my book. Giannis missed Milwaukee’s last game and Bledsoe took full advantage. He scored 29 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in just a whopping 25 minutes. It’s a pretty large NBA slate tonight and fitting Bledsoe into your lineup for $6,700 shouldn’t be a problem. He should have a floor of 35 points on FanDuel tonight.

Kendrick Nunn – FD: ($5,500)

Although Nunn is a rookie, he’s clearly not afraid to let the ball fly. As evidenced in his last game where he dropped 36 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal in 42 minutes. He’s been pretty sporadic as of late, but his playing time is through the roof. Dragic, Winslow, and Waiters are all sidelined with injuries at the moment which continues to boost Nunn’s value. If he can get you 25-30 FanDuel points tonight, it’s a no brainer for the cheap price-tag.

Emmanuel Muddiay – FD: ($3,500)

Mudiay is my sleeper pick at the PG position for tonight’s Fanduel slate. Utah is still without starting PG Mike Conley which has allowed Mudiay extended minutes. He’s not the most flashy player, but he can put up stats in a hurry. He’s put up at least 22 points on FanDuel in two out of his last three games. If he gets 20 points on FanDuel tonight, then it would make him a steal.

Top SG Picks:

James Harden – FD: ($12,200)

Harden is difficult to ignore most nights regardless of the opponent. In his last game, he dropped 55 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in 41 minutes of action. He’s averaging just under 60 FanDuel points per game this season. Although Orlando has a solid defense, I still think Harden will ‘get his’ tonight. I don’t think he should be in all your lineups though. If you can afford him without making yourself vulnerable at another position tonight, do it.

Zach LaVine – FD: ($8,100)

LaVine continues to impress as he just dropped 35 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal in just 25 minutes. Tonight’s he going up against the Charlotte Hornets who he scored 49 points against just 3-weeks ago. He is very reasonably priced tonight and if he can eclipse 35-40 fantasy points he’ll be worth it. He’s the clear number 1 scoring option on the team.

Devonte Graham – FD: ($7,900)

Graham is having himself a great start to the campaign. He’s currently averaging 20 PPG, 7.5 APG, and 3.7 RPG. Charlotte has given him the Green light and he is not disappointing. He’s scored at least 29 points in four out of his last five games. Look for him to have a floor of 35 tonight against Chicago.

Khris Middleton – FD: ($6,700)

Middleton is a great play tonight for DFS. Giannis might not play tonight which bodes extremely well for Middleton’s fantasy value. He is very efficient even when Giannis is on the floor. Tonight he will take on Memphis and this should be a semi-competitive game. His price tag is just $6,700 and he’s looking at a floor of 35 points on FanDuel.

Lou Williams – FD: ($6,000)

Williams will be thrusted into a larger role for the near future while Beverley and Shamet recover from injuries. Williams’s is the type of player where minutes played correlates directly with his fantasy output. He will definitely see a spike in his minutes tonight and he’s pretty cheap considering his price-tag. Look for him to have a floor of 28 points on FanDuel.

Top SF Picks:

LeBron James – FD: ($10,600)

LBJ will take on Miami tonight for the second time this season. In the first matchup, LeBron dropped 25 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in 36 minutes. He is the focal point on offense every night. When he doesn’t light up the scoring column, he drops 10+ dimes. You also have to believe he wants to show out on Miami’s home court. Look for him to have a floor of 45 points on FanDuel tonight.

Tobias Harris – FD: ($7,800)

Harris has been one of the more consistent players on Philly this season. He’s now scored at least 20 points in six out of his last seven games. If Horford misses tonight’s game, Harris will be an automatic lock for me. He’s getting a plethora of shot opportunities and rebounds on a nightly basis. Look for him to have a floor of 35 fantasy points on FanDuel tonight.

Jonathan Isaac – FD: ($7,000)

Isaac is one of my favorite plays on FanDuel tonight. His defensive prowess alone makes home roster-worthy on most nights. Tonight he has a solid matchup against the Rockets who have an up-tempo game style of play. The Rockets are solid offensively; but defensively they have struggled with consistency this year. Look for Isaac to have a floor of 30 points on FanDuel tonight.

Maurice Harkless – FD: ($4,200)

Moe makes for an intriguing play tonight in DFS formats as his price tag is dirt cheap. He has recorded at least 22 points on FanDuel in each of his last three games. The Clippers are without Pat Bev and Shamet tonight. This should boost Moe’s fantasy stock once again. For $4,300, he’ll just need to get 20-ish points to make him worth it.

Top PF Picks:

Anthony Davis – FD: ($11,200)

AD the most expensive PF on the slate tonight which should be no surprise. From a fantasy perspective, AD is everything you can ask for because he gets it done on both ends of the floor. Tonight he will face off against Miami. Against them earlier this year, Davis dropped 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in 34 minutes of action. Look for him to be aggressive early in this one and to have a floor of 50 points on FanDuel.

Domantas Sabonis – FD: ($9,000)

It’s no secret that Indiana has plenty of mouths to feed on offense. However, Sabonis has been the most consistent player on the team. He’s currently averaging 18.2 PPG, 13.5 RPG, and 3.9 APG. Sabonis has now recorded a double-double in ten straight games. The Hawks have a very poor defense so I expect Sabonis to score and rebound at ease tonight. He should have a floor of 38 fantasy points tonight.

Bam Adebayo – FD: ($8,800)

Bam is one of my favorite players to watch because of how hard he plays every time he’s on the floor. He has emerged as a great number two scoring option; second to Jimmy Butler. At the moment Miami is a little banged up so I’m expecting Bam to shoulder a large portion of the offensive load tonight. In his last game, he mustered up 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Those are career highs for him in points and assists. I can see him to having a floor of 35 points on FanDuel tonight in a tough game against the Lakers.

Jaren Jackson – FD: ($6,800)

Jackson has the build and skill-set to be an all-star in just a few years. However, his one vice so far during his young career is consistency. He can sometimes get into foul trouble early which is a DFS nightmare. However, he’s really turned the corner over the past few weeks. He’s recorded at least 32 points on FanDuel in each of his last four games. On top of that, Brandon Clarke is still out with an injury. That will allow Jackson to see 30+ minutes tonight which should lead to a solid fantasy line. He has a floor of 29 points on FanDuel tonight.

Top C Picks:

Joel Embiid – FD: ($10,200)

If you are going to pay up at the center position tonight, I’d go with Embiid. He has a solid matchup against his former teammate Jahlil Okafor. I also think he will dominate the glass tonight as New Orleans is not a great rebounding team. He has a high-ceiling every time he takes the floor and if this game remains close, you’ll most likely regret not picking him. He should have a floor of 45 fantasy points tonight.

Rudy Gobert – FD: ($8,700)

Gobert has been Stellar for Utah over the past week while Mike Conley remains sidelined. That in turn allows Gobert to enjoy a slight uptick on the offense-end as well. Tonight he will take on Golden State and the one time they played this year Gobert went for 8 points, 19 rebounds, 1 assist, 7 blocks, and 1 steal. Look for him to have a floor of 42 fantasy points tonight.

Alex Len – FD: ($4,600)

Len is my sleeper pick at the center position tonight. He is priced at a very low $4,600 on FanDuel. He has recorded at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last five games. Back on November’s 29th, Len racked up 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal in 28 minutes against Indiana. He is a bench player and I can see him exploiting Indiana when Myles Turner and/or Sabonis are off the court. If he puts up 25 fantasy points tonight, he’ll pay off.

On a 4-game NBA DFS slate (with one game in Mexico), there is a limited pool of players to pick from, with even more restrictions on value. Looking at the salaries it becomes clear that this will be a classic example of a “stars and scrubs” approach to building your lineups. With very little room for variance, I suggest you limit your expectations on winning a GPP tournament and work on building your bankroll by playing cash games.

I like to focus on cheaper NBA DFS games with just a single entry and maximize my exposure to a large field of entries that consists of both professional players and the basic casual players trying to win a few dollars. By doing this I can play the players I know and finish in the top 50% by beating most of the casual players, and a few of the pros overthinking it too much. I’m simply using the skill I have developed from playing every day, to take advantage of the people who haven’t.

I encourage everyone reading this article to join the team here at WinDaily in our Discord chat rooms where you will be able to actively collaborate with us in finding the tools you will need to succeed at NBA DFS. It is our goal to not just give you the tools to win today but teach you how to develop a process that will make you a better player than the people you will be up against.

As WinDaily members, I’m going to give you a list of the core NBA DFS players that I think you will need in your lineup, and a couple of value plays needed to fit them all in.

THE CORE

  • Luka Doncic ($11400) Don’t overthink this. He’s the highest-priced player on the NBA DFS slate for good reason. Very simply he’s re-writing the definition NBA superstar right in front of our eyes. Detroit’s defense is sub-par and Luka is about to give Mexico a taste of what the NBA is all about. You won’t win without him.
  • Andre Drummond ($9600) Again, he’s has the second-highest salary on the NBA DFS slate for a reason. Dallas simply does not have a center that can guard him (very few teams do), he’s a double-double machine for that DK bonus, and the only answer Detroit will have for Luka.
  • DeMar DeRozan ($7300) The Cavaliers rank dead last vs. opposing guards and are playing the second half of a B2B after taking a beating by Harden and Westbrook last night. DeMar is quickly becoming the solo scoring threat for this Spur team. Lock him in.
  • Tobias Harris ($6900) I would usually avoid defensive teams like Boston and Denver on slates like this, but after watching Sabonis put almost 50 NBA DFS DraktKings points on them last night, I started noticing a trend. The Celtic frontcourt is their Kryptonite. Most times we think of centers when talking frontcourt, but it was Sabonis last night, and Tobias last time when he stuck them with 15 points, 15 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals on his way to 44 DKFPTS. I’ll roll the dice here again at that salary

Value

  • Patty Mills ($4100) He’s been getting the starters minutes, and we’re going right back to the well on those Cleveland guards.
  • Christian Wood ($4000) Don’t sleep on this guy. He may come off the bench, but he’s a stable point per minute guy averaging 15-20, and he can blow up an NBA DFS slate at any time.
  • Brad Wanamaker ($3100) Site minimum averaging 20 mins/game, and on the second game of back to backs. Solid NBA DFS play for tonight.

Isaiah makes his Win Daily Sports debut and will be discussing DFS NBA options for Wednesday.

There are over 60 million people playing fantasy sports across the United States and Canada, and studies have proven that this is truly a game of skill. In order to be successful in NBA DFS, it is imperative that you know your rules, do your research, properly manage your finances, stay on top of all the news, and most importantly, HAVE FUN. Hopefully, this NBA DFS article will help alleviate some of the time it takes to do some of that research. I encourage everyone reading this article to join the team here at WinDaily in the Discord NBA DFS chat rooms where you will be able to actively collaborate with the pros in finding the tools you will need to succeed. It’s my goal to not just give you the tools to win today, but show you how to develop a process that will make you a better player than the people you will be up against.

Today I’m going to focus on some suggestions toward your NBA DFS player pool, and include a core of players that I think will be important to have exposure to.

NBA Main Slate for Wednesday, December 11, 2019

With 6 NBA DFS players all priced over $10K tonight (Westbrook just missed at $9800) all looking at either tough matchups, a blowout risk, or a wicked slow-paced low-scoring game, I’m most likely looking at a more balanced approach tonight. I think there’s a lot to like in that mid to upper tier, with some upside that can get you there.

Core Guys

Kawhi Leonard $8700: I think Kawhi is criminally underpriced here. We all know the strong narrative here in returning to the NBA city that he just brought a championship to last year. Toronto is also a very good defensive team, ranking 7th in defensive efficiency, and 6th vs. his position. He also shares the court with a prolific scorer in Paul George, so there’s an obvious risk here. Kawhi has a massive 35.9% usage rate and scores 1.5 FP/.min across an average of 31 mins/gm. Kawhi just played his old team on Nov. 11th where he shot a very dismal 2 for 11, but still ended up with 42 DKFPTS. I’m guessing that Kawhi is looking to put on a show for his old city, and am locking him in at that super cheap $8700 tonight.

Zach Lavine $7900: Zach is a little banged up and carries a questionable tag, but is expected to play. He is carrying a 30% usage, 1.13 FP/min, at just about 33 mins/gm. He’s playing an Atlanta squad that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency and 24th against his position. Atlanta is also coming off a tough overtime loss to the Heat last night, so I can see Zach running all over this tired Hawk team.

Jarrett Allen $6800: Allen has a dbl/dbl in 8 of his last 10 games, barely missing the 9th by 1 rebound. He’s going up against a Charlotte NBA team that ranks 24 in defensive efficiency vs. centers and is playing on the 2nd half of a B2B. Allen has already seen this team twice, averaging 18 pts, 13.5 boards, a block, and 2 steals for 41 DKFPS/gm.

Some Others

I’m keeping a watchful eye on Eric Paschall. If he misses, Draymond Green looks like a nice price tag to get in.

Russell Westbrook, Devin Booker, Ricky Rubio, Ja Morant, Kris Dunn, Jonas Valanciunas, Ben McLemore are also options for tonight.

It’s still early, so make sure you stay on top of news as it develops today, and catch up with all the pros in the Discord chat rooms.

GOOD LUCK
