NBA DraftKings Top Tier Plays Mar 25

Welcome to our new NBA DraftKings Top Tier Plays article. I’ll go tier by tier to break down my favorite play from each one. I’ll also note which ones you can pivot to for any multiple-entry contests you play. Make sure that you check out the NBA Player Projections for the tier slate to get the upper hand on your opponents.

NBA DraftKings Tiers 1-2

Jayson Tatum over Dejounte Murray (Tier 1)

This tier was cut down short with the early news of Victor Wembaynama out for tonight’s action. Tatum is one of my core pieces and I will be prioritizing him over Murray. The pace of play for the Boston matchup is mainly what I am leaning on for Tatum and his projection upside. The only reason to choose Dejounte Murray is pure ownership reason as his projection isn’t the best. Five players project higher than him tonight.

Devin Booker over Jalen Brunson, Kevin Durant, and Jalen Green (Tier 2)

Jalen Brunson will be the clear number-one option in this tier due to his matchup. Brunson projects for 48.16 DK points versus Detroit and Detroit has already ruled out Jalen Duren and Cade Cunningham. There is a huge blowout potential with that game overall. Devin Booker will be my main choice. Booker has averaged 31.5 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds versus San Antonio this season in two games. San Antonio has allowed guards to average 23.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season. Kevin Durant is also a strong option behind Booker but Jalen Green would be the one I exclude altogether.

NBA DraftKings Tiers 3-4

Jarrett Allen over Nikola Vucevic, Fred VanVleet, and Jaylen Brown (Tier 3)

Jarrett Allen is the favorite and by a slight margin over Jaylen Brown. You can’t go wrong with either two. Jarrett Allen did provide us with a dud performance yesterday but now gets the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are giving up a monstrous double-double to centers this season. They allow them to average 24.7 points and 16.3 rebounds per game. An easy matchup for Jarrett Allen. While the matchup isn’t as good for Jaylen Brown, Atlanta still struggles with forwards. They allow them to average 24.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Brown should be able to score tonight but Jarrett Allen remains priority number-one.

DeMar DeRozan over Miles Bridges, Jaren Jackson Jr., Kristaps Porzingis, and Collin Sexton (Tier 4)

I have rarely fallen on playing DeMar DeRozan this season but there is a first for everything. DeRozan has a solid matchup versus Washington and projects pretty well. He has a projection of 44.32 DK points and ranks up with the tier 1 and tier 2 players. Washington is one of the worst teams at defending duars, allowing them to average 24.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists. While he is the clear-cut favorite of this tier, Jaren Jackson Jr. would be the next best option, especially when it comes to MME contests.

NBA DraftKings Tiers 5-6

Josh Hart over Darius Garland, Caris LeVert, Devin Vassell, Cam Thomas, Coby White, & Derrick White (Tier 5)

This tier can change completely for me when Coby White and Derrick White get the green light to play tonight. If Coby White does play (and start), he’ll be my number-one option. Derrick White in the same matchup as Jayson Tatum is also a huge bump if he clears. This tier will get tricky. Josh Hart would be the one to roll with if Coby White and Derrick White aren’t in. Hart has averaged 15 points, 7.5 rebounds, four assists, and two steals in two games versus Detroit. The matchup is there and Hart also has played 35 or more minutes in his last five games.

Bradley Beal over Cam Thomas, Jusuf Nurkic, Deni Avdija, Brandon Miller, and the rest of the tier (Tier 6)

Bradley Beal being in this tier seems odd but we’ll run with it. Beal has only dropped below 30 DK points once in his last ten games. He has averaged 14.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 4.2 rebounds in his last five games. In the first meeting versus San Antonio, Beal did drop a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists. Now, they get the Spurs without Victor Wembaynama tonight. I would target Mikal Bridges, Deni Avdija, and Jusuf Nurkice behind Bradley Beal for this group.
