NBA DFS Tuesday Night Position Breakdown with DFS Pro David Jones

NBA DFS is all about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the NBA DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here

IMPORTANT: NBA DFS is completely different than any other sport. Players get ruled out five minutes before games and you HAVE TO BE READY to pivot. I will update this article as close to lineup lock as possible with any big news, but play it safe and stay on top of the news yourself. Hanging out in our Slack Chat is a great way to keep up to date.

I refer to FanDuel pricing today.

12/10 NBA DFS Point Guard

  1. Damian Lillard ($9,600 FD) Easy spend up on FD. He should get you around 45 FD points against the Knicks who are poor at defending point guards. Your only concern is that Carmelo gets trigger happy here and limits Dame’s shots. That isn’t going to scare me off though. Dame will be your top-scoring PG.
  2. Terry Rozier ($7,200 FD) He is in a great match against Ish Smith and it would be embarrassing if he did not put up at least 30 FD points here. I don’t typically love rostering Rozier, but I do love targeting the Wizards.
  3. Ish Smith ($5,200 FD) He is still too cheap to be the starting PG. I know it feels gross to keep rostering this guy, but he is doing his job in the starting unit. He will most likely be on my main team.
  4. Kendrick Nunn ($4,900 FD) I am just not impressed with what I am seeing from him. It takes him 42 minutes to put up 23 FD points against Chicago!? Not good. Sometimes he can get hot, but most of the time he doesn’t. Still, at his price, he must be considered against the Hawks. He is in punt territory for me.

12/10 NBA DFS Shooting Guard

  1. Jimmy Butler ($9,600 FD) Lock
  2. Bradley Beal ($9,700 FD) This game should remain close, which will help Beal out tremendously. He is priced higher than I like but the matchup is there for him tonight. The last time Beal put up a score in the 20’s he bounced back the next game with 50+. No reason it can’t happen here again. Tough decision at SG today.
  3. DeVante Graham ($7,900 FD) He has turned into a prolific scorer for the Hornets. He has 35+ FD points in his last five games. No reason he won’t do it against the Wizards again tonight. You don’t have to get too cute at SG tonight. The three guys listed above should all pull their weight.
  4. Tyler Herro ($5,400 FD) He is going to have the same role as he has had the past two games. Expect mid 30’s minutes and 30+ point upside.

12/10 Small Forward

  1. Carmelo Anthony ($6,000 FD) I never roster him but it just makes sense tonight. He is going to shoot it until Dame tells him to stop against his former team. If you don’t think that’s true, then you don’t know Carmelo Anthony.
  2. Miles Bridges ($5,400 FD) When he starts cold, he gets his minutes limited. It should be pretty difficult to start cold against the Wizards. Although he has been inconsistent of late, this feels like the right bounce-back spot for him.
  3. Troy Brown ($4,600 FD) Way too cheap. Don’t expect 40 again, but close to 30 is more than enough on this slate. The Wizards have had a pretty tough schedule lately. This is there easiest game since the last time they played Charlotte on 11/22 pre-Thomas Bryant injury.

12/10 NBA DFS Power Forward

  1. Bam Adebayo ($8,600 FD) He has two 50 point games back to back and gets another easy matchup tonight against the Hawks. 40+ FD points is happening again and if you don’t have him you are probably playing catchup all night.
  2. Rui Hachimura ($6,600 FD) The Wizards are giving this guy the most minutes on the team (not including Beal) since the injury bug hit. Lock him in.
  3. Julius Randle ($7,300 FD) With the new coach he got 35 minutes last game. That’s what you want to see. I like to target bigs against Portland, and that is who the Knicks get this evening. Very good price for high upside. Like him quite a bit, but the value of Rui may be too tempting to get away from.
  4. Davis Bertans ($6,200 FD) I guess FanDuel just isn’t going to adjust these guys’ prices. Let’s keep taking advantage.

12/10 DFS Center

The highest scoring Centers should be Joel Embiid however he is priced the highest. There is a lot of value at Center today and I am going to pay down. If you somehow find the salary to roster Embiid, an underpriced Jokic, or Whiteside (in that order) then I think it is a good play.

  1. Moritz Wagner ($6,000 FD) His price is going up and his minutes are somewhat inconstant. What “hurts” Wagner is that Ian Mahinmi is back and got 17 minutes last game. Even though I don’t think Wagner gets 30 minutes here, 25 is a possibility and he does have the best match at the center position on the board tonight. If he can get us 25-30 fantasy points he keeps us in the fight to take down a GPP. On a 4 game slate, you can’t expect every guy to go 6x. What you need to look for is a solid price and a solid floor and Wagner appears to have both.
  2. Cody Zeller ($4,700 FD) Gets great matchup against Washington, however, minutes are not guaranteed. At his price, you are not going to need much though. I don’t think pivoting to him from Wagner is a bad play if you need the salary.
  3. Ian Mahini ($3,700 FD) Expect 15ish minutes against a poor defensive frontcourt in the Hornets. I project him around 15 FD points, without the blocks (which you can’t count on). If he can get a couple of blocks he makes sense as a punt.
