IMPORTANT: NBA DFS is completely different than any other sport. Players get ruled out five minutes before games and you HAVE TO BE READY to pivot. I will update this article as close to lineup lock as possible with any big news, but play it safe and stay on top of the news yourself.

I will update this closer to lock when news comes out but these are my current leans.
1/11 NBA DFS Point Guard
- Luka Donic ($11,300 FD) He was so disgusted with his free throw shooting last night he literally ripped his jersey Hulk Hogan style on the court. I think he wants revenge and is going to show out today. He is the top point guard going against a Philly team who is missing Joel Embiid. This is a get back to elite spot for Doncic and the Mavs after being embarrassed on national TV last night.
- Lonzo Ball ($6,100 FD) Zo is rolling right now. He is playing big minutes with Jru Holiday off the court. If Jru plays (which would be unexpected) I would move off of him. JJ Reddick has just been ruled out as well which should only help Ball’s usage.
- Ben Simmons ($8,200 FD) He plays big minutes (38 last game with no Embiid) and has traditionally been more productive with him off the court. I know that last two contests this has not been the case, however it is because other guys have been stepping up. I still like him tonight at $8,200 FD.
Pivot: Kemba Walker ($7,000 FD)
Punt: Derrick Rose ($6,800 FD) He gets a terrible matchup agains the Bulls, but the Chicago native and former Bull usually puts on a show against them. He is a punt because of the matchup and the steadily rising price.
Punt 2: Alex Caruso ($3,500 FD) added
1/11 NBA DFS Shooting Guard
- Zach Lavine ($6,800 FD) Hot streak alert. Go look at what he has been doing and tell me you don’t love him at that price. We have been targeting Pistons guard’s defense all season and now we have a guy that looks unstoppable coming in underpriced. Close to a lock here.
- Dennis Schroeder ($5,500 FD) With the Lakers being without their big two I can see OKC playing the backup guys a little more here in a game they should expect to win. If I have the money to pay up for SGA, I would do it because he still should have a little more time on the court, but Schroeder is one of the best back guards in the league. He should get enough to cover $5,500.
- Khris Middleton ($6,600 FD) too cheap – added
Pivots: SGA, Josh Hart (don’t love the matchup but Reddick out)
Punt: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($3,700 FD) No Bron, No AD, No Danny Green. Someone has to score. KCP should get a ton of time on the court tonight. He is always risky but the Lakers are so depleted tonight might be the night he steps up.
1/11 Small Forward
- Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,200 FD) Easy play here. Lebron is out making him the clear spend up at the position. I love ‘bigs” against Portland and while he isn’t a PF or C he still collects plenty of boards. He should get an easy double double here and will most likely be the highest scoring player on the slate (Drummond might give him a run though)
- Brandon Ingram ($9,700 FD) added, great with no Jru or Reddick
- Tobias Harris ($6,500 FD) Joel Embiid is out today which gives Harris a bump up in usage. Lebron just took Dallas to school last night, and while Harris is no James, I would be shocked if he doesn’t hit value.
- Will Barton ($6,700 FD) he should exceed 30 minutes here in a game without Paul Milsap against the Cavs. His price too too cheap against the 27th worst defense against the SF.
1/11 NBA DFS Power Forward
- Jerami Grant ($4,100 FD) Lock. Denver is without Milsap and has a nice matchup against the Cavs. I don’t mind if he is coming off the bench, he will still get his time.
- Kyle Kuzma ($4,100 FD) another Lock. Lebron is out and AD is probably sitting this one out too. $4,100 is way too cheap.
If AD is in then he is a great play I just highly doubt we see him tonight.
1/11 DFS Center
- Andre Drummond ($11,000 FD) Did you guys see what Myles Turner did to the Bulls last night with no Wendell Carter? Well I am thinking Drummond out performs him here. We are paying up for center tonight.
- Nikola Jokic ($9,500 FD) He is in a phenomenal spot against the Cavs (who Drummond owns). The only concern is a blowout (Denver is currently -12 in Vegas). I prefer to pay up for Andre but Jokic is your next best guy. If you do not have Jokic you are going to want Jerami Grant at power forward (with no Milsap).
- Jaxon Hayes ($4,100 FD) added
