MLB Picks
Jonathan India – .5 Runs + RBI’s – Over
I love the matchup for the Reds today. Through three seasons, Kyle Wright has really struggled at the Major League level. Last season in a brief stint he pitched to a 9.95 ERA and an xFIP over 8. He’s one of the Braves’ biggest weaknesses this season and when he’s on the mound, there’s a strong chance they’ll lose. I plan on using the Reds tonight in DFS and on PrizePicks. With India leading off, he’ll set the table and score at least a run tonight, maybe 2. I’m going with the Over on this number.
Joey Votto – 7.5 Fantasy Score – Over
As I noted above, I’m a big fan of the Reds tonight. You won’t hear that from me often, so you know how good of a spot they are in tonight. Wright is a sinkerball pitcher and that fits right into Votto’s wheelhouse. Over the last few seasons, Votto has a .292 ISO against right-handed sinkers and a .485 wOBA. I wouldn’t be surprised if Votto takes Wright deep tonight. I like the Over here.
Wander Franco – 7.5 Fantasy Score – Over
For those that followed me last season, I have an affinity for stacking against Jordan Lyles. He’s an extreme flyball pitcher and doesn’t miss many bats. Last season he gave up a career-high 38 homers. Anytime he’s on the mound, the opposing team has a great chance of taking him deep. I love the Over here on Franco today. This kid has power and should get multiple hits today vs. a bad pitcher and even worse bullpen.
Tyler O’Neill – 8.5 Hitter Score – Over
In DFS today, stacking the Cardinals is a priority for me. They get to take on a pitcher in Mitch Keller who was pretty bad last season. Keller had a SIERA pushing 5 last season and also missed few bats. Hitters had an 82% contact right. With O’Neill today, we should get someone who has the potential to take Keller deep. He’s a core to my stack today because of his amazing matchup. I will also heavily use him on PrizePicks and side with the Over here.
MLB Summary
We have a full slate of games today and plenty of hitters in great spots. I laid out my favorites and feel great about the spots they are in.
