Week 14 NFL DFS Night Showdown Preview with DFS Pro David Jones

Week 14 in the NFL is all about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

I want to start off this article by saying you must have the absolute nuts to win the top prize up top on large field GPPs. There is no room for mistakes with so many entries in these contests. If you think you are going to win it all by playing a combo of the top seven guys in the player pool, you are not. If a combo of a bunch of guys you have heard of before is indeed the best scoring lineup, you will most likely tie for first. If that sounds good to you, then go for it. It will be profitable if you nail it, but for me, I like to be a little different on these slates. I will be making multiple teams and taking long shots on a few cheap guys. 

Leaving cash on the table in these NFL DFS contests is fine too. This makes your lineup even more unique and lower owned because a lot of amateurs will be pulling their hair out to use their entire salary. 

That all being said, I have looked at every possible player that can get on the field and listed my picks below.

The NFL DFS Week 14 Night Showdown Picks

My research was done on FanDuel.

The Cowboys are my favorite Showdown team. This is what you do. Play Dak, Zeke and at least one of Amari Cooper or Michael Gallup. Then build around your core three. The Cowboys offense is incredibly obvious and it all runs through those four guys.

NFL DFS MVP: Dak Prescott ($15,500 FD) He runs, he throws, he vultures touchdowns. That’s what you want in a quarterback.

MVP Pivot: Zeke Elliot ($14,500 FD) It is either Dak or Zeke running it in. You know Zeke is going to get fed. He just needs to keep piling up yardage.

MVP Pivot 2: WR1 Amari Cooper ($13,000 FD)/ WR2 Michael Gallup ($11,000 FD) One of these guys is going to have a big game because, well, that’s what usually happens. Cooper is best, but Gallup allows salary to fit in one more “stud”.

Flex Options:

Listed in order of preference, with price factored in. I did my research on FanDuel today.

1. Allen Robinson ($14,000 FD) I think they are playing from behind and he is the top receiver for the Bears
2. Anthony Miller ($10,500 FD) Him or Robinson should have a good day (with Gabriel still ruled out) as long as Mitchell doesn’t go full Trubisky
3. Mitchell Tribusky ($15,000 FD) Price feels a little high, but of course, if the receivers are having a good game, he probably is too. He should be the highest-scoring Bear, but it is hard to fit him with three stud Cowboys
4. David Montgomery ($13,500 FD)
5. Randall Cobb ($9,500 FD) He has been emerging in this offense lately. Like him at the price
6. Brett Maher ($9,500 FD) Cowboys kicker
7. Blake Jarwin ($6,500 FD) I love his price this week. I don’t want him and Witten on the same team.
8. Tarik Cohen ($9,000 FD) He seems like a good value. He hasn’t really had a huge game yet this year and Gabriel being out gives him a small bump up in the passing game as well.
9. Jason Witten ($8,000 FD) I don’t think he replicates his production from Thanksgiving day and will be more popular than he should be. That being said, he is right at the price where he fits nicely in a lineup. I don’t think he wins it (Big GPP) for you, but also don’t think he loses it.
10. Javon Wims ($5,000 FD) WAY TOO LOW PRICED. Best punt on the board

3. Tavon Austin ($5,500 FD) Boom or Bust
