Game lines via DraftKings Sportsbooks
- HOU @ NY (+6.5)
- STL @ TB (+3.5)
- DAL @ D.C. (-4.5)
- LA @ SEA (+2.5)
First look at the lines here:
Home teams a week ago went 3-1 with the Renegades the only home team to lose – albeit most likley because they had a back-up quarterback. Home teams are now 14-6 and I expect that trend to continue with home teams in XFL Week 6. Again the lines have three of the four road teams once again favorites.
Wide Receivers – XFL DFS Week 6
Value Wide Receivers – XFL DFS Week 6
Targeting slot receivers continues to be a profitable approach in XFL DFS to whoever is playing the Houston Roughnecks. For the Guardians, that falls for receivers Colby Pearson and tight end Jake Powell. Powell has run 70% of snaps from the slot with 11 receptions on his 15 targets. Pearson has played less their but over the past two weeks has six targets from the slot. Saw his most slot usage in Week 3 and Week 5 (32 snaps).
Sam Mobley at $5,500 is probably still too cheap at his price and we saw what he could do when he played a full-time role. He finished with six receptions for 95 yards on nine targets. The New York Guardians allow the most fantasy points to the wide receiver position through the first half of the season.
Tampa Bay wide receivers offer value between Tolliver ($7,000) and Reece Horn ($6,100). Tampa Bay and the Battlehawks led the XFL in total plays per game, offensive yards per game, average rushing yards per game, third and fourth respectively in points per game (19.6/19.4).
The LA passing attack uses three primary receivers with the third being Saeed Blacknall. You have to bet that the LA offense will be efficient especially considering there will be a home-field disadvantage because there will be no fans in attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic. Brandon Barnes was also placed on IR putting more emphasis on the receiver position. Blacknall had just as more targets (7) than McBride (6) in Week 5. Blacknall ran the most routes on the LA team (35) more than Smallwood (34) and McBride (30). Week 5 was the first time we saw Blacknall play a full compliment of snaps (55) since Week 1.
Pay – Up Wide Receivers – XFL DFS Week 6
Cam Phillips and Nick Holley seem like pay-up lock options. Khalil Lewis played just 70% of snaps last week and appeared to be banged up because he ran just 27 routes versus 40 from Phillips, Holley, and Mobley. Also, all the Houston Roughnecks running backs are on the injury report this week.
Running Backs – XFL DFS Week 6
Donnel Pumphrey and Jhrueel Pressley.
Quarterbacks
Defense/Special Teams
At first glance without pricing factored in defenses go as follows D.C. Defenders ($4,700) at home versus Dallas look solid. Home team versus a back-up quarterback and D.C. has been much better at home (20 PPG) versus on the road (-1 PPG).
Tampa Bay is another cheap defense that may also be worth targeting at $3,600. They have only played two home games this year and completely shut out D.C. after giving up 34 to the Roughnecks in Week 3.
