FanDuel and DraftKings Picks, U.S. Open Betting Guide for 8/27

We have a full slate of 45 matches on the main Tennis slate at FanDuel and DraftKings for Tuesday.. The pricing at FanDuel makes it interesting to build a winning lineup and some of the players available at FanDuel aren’t on the main slate at DraftKings. I’ve also left a pick for each match in case you want to make a wager. In some cases, the juice will be high, but I expect these players to win and if you have a solid bankroll, you can still make a profit.

You wantthese players on your roster

NickKyrgios

FanDuel: $19

Pick:Kyrgios -303

$19 bucks isa lot to risk for a player who can beat himself just as easily as he beats hisopponents. Make no mistake; Kyrgios knows how to win tennis matches and onTuesday he has a very good opportunity against American Steve Johnson. Kyrgiosis 7-2 this summer on the American hardcourts while Johnson has been playingchallengers and his record this summer is 9-2. Johnson did win their onlyprevious meeting back in 2017 at the Shanghai Masters but that was a LONG timeago and Johnson isn’t the same player now as he was then.

StefanosTsitsipas

FanDuel $19

DraftKings $8,800

Pick: Tsitsipas-201

Here’sanother $19 play that should reward those who roster Tsitsipas on Tuesdayagainst Andrey Rublov. Tsitsipas should dust the court with the young Russianbut they’ve played twice in their brief careers and each won a match. So, there’sthat to consider but Tsitsipas has a big game and a top 10 ranking that theyoung Russian doesn’t have. Tsitsipas was 3-3 on the summer hardcourts while hiscontemporary Rublov went 8-4 on the concrete this summer.  These two might be the same age but aren’t atthe same level and I look for Tsitsipas to win in straight sets on Tuesday.

FrancisTiafoe

FanDuel: $19

Pick:Tiafoe -345

More $19-dollar plays, and this might be the last time we see a price this low for Tiafoe in Daily Fantasy Tennis after he beats up on Ivo Karlovic Tuesday. Tiafoe is the talk of the American Tennis town but has struggled to find his form but should get plenty of help from the home crowd on Tuesday. Karlovic is a big serving 40-year-old and will look to serve the young American off the court. I don’t see that happening very often to the ATP #61 ranked serve returner on Tuesday and I have Tiafoe winning in four sets.

GarbineMuguruza

FanDuel: $16

DraftKings: $7,700

Pick: Muguruza-147

Muguruza hasplayed only a couple of matches this summer and she’s up against a youngAmerican Alison Riske who has compiled a 3-2 record on the hardcourts this summer.Muguruza’s lack of play stems from her dealing with a leg injury and that haskept her from properly preparing for this tournament. Muguruza holds a 2-1career advantage with the two splitting their two hardcourt matches. Muguruza is16-11 this season on the hardcourts and should get win number 17 in three setson Tuesday.

AlizeCornet

FanDuel: $15

DraftKings: $7,200

Pick:Cornet +146

This is going to be a bit dicey, but if we want to remain with as many mid-tier players that we can roster, we need to find some value and I think Cornet does that just fine on Tuesday against American Jessica Pegula. Pegula has had a terrific hardcourt season where she went 14-6 including winning a tournament in Washington and she’ll be playing in her first main draw at the Open. Cornet is 9-8 on the hardcourts in 2019 and is 12-12 lifetime at the U.S. Open. That experience is going to matter, and Cornet wants to finish her 2019 season on a high note and hopefully, she’ll be able to do this against the young American Tuesday.

TennysSandren

FanDuel: $12

Pick:Sandren +204

This is another play allowing us to use four players at $19 bucks and even if he doesn’t win, shouldn’t lay a complete egg against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Tsonga is heavily favored and is 7-5 on the hardcourts this season and has a U.S. Open record of 24-9 over his lengthy career. Sandren is a gritty American who will have the crowd behind him and a 9-11 record on the Deco-Turf this season. Sandren won Auckland earlier this year and has a 1-2 lifetime record at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. This one is probably going five sets and hopefully, the home crowd can carry the American through to a victory Tuesday.
