The MLB Sweet Spot (Sept. 22)

We turned a 4-3 day at the Sweet Spot yesterday and Mike Trout kept us from a great day as he only recorded a measly single in yesterday’s game. However, we turned a 1.3 unit profit and moved our totals to 45-25 (64%) and +22.4 units on the month.

There are many tools available, but I hope you’re using the WinDaily Projection Model as that has been very helpful in rostering key players each night.

MLB PROP BETS

RANGER SUAREZ over 1.5 BB’s (-160 DK):

Suarez has pitched against the Braves 4 times this season and allowed 10 walks in 22 innings which is an 11.9% walk rate. He’s gone over 1.5 BB’s in three of those four starts.

AARON JUDGE over 0.5 runs (-160 DK):

Wouldn’t it be awesome to see Judge hit number 61 against the Red Sox? Well Boston doesn’t think so and for that reason I think they’ll pitch carefully to Judge. Meaning we could see some walks which will allow his teammates to drive him in.

IAN HAPP over 0.5 home runs Game 1 (+700):

Happ is 7 for 14 and 2 home runs off Keller in his career. These are great odds for a batter with Happ’s power versus someone he has career success against.

BRANDON WOODRUFF over 6.5 K’s (-130 DK):

I’ve had concerns about Woodruff’s home and road splits all year. In fact, he’s only gone over this line in three road starts all year (Boston, Pitt and TB). But he has struck out 29 Reds this year in three games. In the one outing he had in Cincy, he struck out 6 but only went 4.1 innings. So we likely need just 5 innings here to hit this prop and Cincy is 25th in batting this month (0.225) and 19th in wRC+ which helps our cause.

GEORGE KIRBY over 5.5 K’s (-105 DK):

Kirby has 24 K’s in 3 starts against the A’s this year. He has gone over 5.5 K’s in all 3 starts. I had interest in going under if this was at 6.5. But I think Kirby can get to 6 K’s and (maybe) help the M’s avoid a sweep in Oakland.

JUSTIN VERLANER over 5.5 K’s (-160 DK):

Verlander was great in his first start since returning from the IL as he went 5 innings and allowed 0 hits while striking out 9. Tonight, he faces the Orioles who he was pitching against when he injured his calf. In that game, he had 6 K’s in just 3 innings. I expect the Astros to let their ace get to 6 innings tonight and believe this is a good number for us to attack.

ZAC GALLEN under 2.5 ER’s (-140 DK):

Gallen’s 44 inning scoreless streak was snapped by the Rockies two starts ago. And then he went out and allowed 2 ER’s to SD in his last start. I like him to treat that Colorado game as a bump in the road as he continues his focus to keep his ERA in the top 10 and give Alcantara a scare for Cy-Young.
