We had a huge day at the Sweet Spot yesterday going 8-1 on our bets and props and pumping out a +8.4 unit return. Sticking with Goldschmidt one more game was the key to a great day! So far this month, we have posted a 29-18 record with a +10.4 unit return. DFS was also profitable as I played Dylan Cease across all lineups.
There are many tools available but I hope you’re using the WinDaily Projection Model as that has been very helpful in rostering key players each night.
For DFS, the featured card begins at 7:05 pm with 13 games to choose from. My favorite plays for all of today, along with props and bets, are below.

PITCHERS – DRAFTKINGS
CLASSIC SLATE – 7:05 PM Start
MAX SCHERZER ($10,900 DK) – Phillies vs Mets may be the biggest game on the board tonight. And that is great news for Scherzer fans. The last 2 outings where Scherzer faced a prime opponent, Yankees and Braves, he’s shined. He went 14 innings and allowed 0 ERs while striking out 17. He’s in play tonight against the Phillies based on his season totals but also the fact its a national TV game. Expect him to shine in the spotlight.
CARLOS RODON ($10,600 DK) – Anytime we have a lefty versus the Pirates it’s close to an instant play (see Tommy Henry of ARI this week). But when you get a premiere lefty like Rodon it’s a DFS and bettors dream. The Pirates are #2 in K rate against LHPs as they Strikeout at a clip over 27%. They are also 28th in batting average and wRC+ versus southpaws. Rodon had one outing versus the Pirates last month ans went 8 innings with 0 ERs allowing only 2 hits. This is my favorite play on the card.
KOOL-AIDE MAN (SWEET SPOT VALUE PITCHER UNDER $7K)
JORDAN MONTGOMERY ($6800 DK): We are 4 for 4 this week in this spot and averaging close to 3x return. Today we look at the Cardinals newest acquisition in Jordan Montgomery. The Brewers against lefties are 25th in batting average, wOBA and wRC+. They are also 4th in K rate versus LHPs as they strike out over 25% of the time.
BONUS PICK: I do like TYLER MAHLE ($8500 DK) tonight against the Angles. Since July 1st the Angels are 30th in batting average, 29th in OPS, wOBA and wRC+. Additionally, they are 1st in K rate. They are an offense that we love to attack and think there is high value in Mahle tonight to get >2x return.
HITTERS – DRAFTKINGS
CLASSIC SLATE – 7:05 PM
TREA TURNER ($5600 DK) – Trea Turner has a hit in 28 of his last 29 games.
YORDAN ALVAREZ ($5800K) – Alvarez is facing one of the gas cans on the card and hit a HR in his last game.
SWEET SPOT STACK ATTACK: I’m going to stack the Astros today. A’s starter Adam Oller has pitched 9 innings against Houston this year and allowed 7 runs. Primarily I’ll look at Alvarez, Altuve, Bergman, Pena and Myers. If Mancini plays he’ll be a guy I look too as well.
SLAP HITTER (SWEET SPOT VALUE BATTER) – LESS THAN $3K
JOEY MENESES ($2800 DK): The Nats OF has made an impact of late as he has 3 home runs in his first 7 games since being called up.
