The top golfers (minus 2) are here to beat this tougher than most course. Call it the pure field at Muirfield. Jack is disputedly the best golfer to ever swing a club with Tiger a definite add to that never ending conversation. We are all lucky to have seen both of these men play better golf than anyone else in the world. Jack wanted this to be a test of every golf club in the bag and it’s certainly that. Courses and Horses
Our best comp course is The Masters. The par 5’s are barely playable at even par with some lucky birdies. The par 3 and 4’s rank as the 2nd and 3rd toughest on tour. Approach shots must be accurate from 200+ yards out. The bunkers are deeper than Stormy Daniels right after an adult film shoot. Some of the players we like this week are Scottie, Xander, Morikawa, Finau, Conners, Bradley, Jaeger, English, Eckroat and Hodges.
Leverage
With Scottie hovering between 40-50 % ownership (at the time this was written) it’s tough to decide which way to go. Conventional wisdom says you go 2X to 2.5 X if you roster Scottie and want to get over the field. This week that’s every lineup in every contest. If you fade him and he finishes outside the top 12 you’re a genius. We are looking at him at just under double the field in high entry GPP’s and fading him completely in high entry SE’s. You also need to understand roster construction that if you take him you are adding a lower value (scoring) player against a fade which will have more top tier talent to roster. For us this week it’s 74 % in the big GPP contests and 0% in the big SE contests.
