Yankees: Andrew Cashner has a 4.10 ERA but his xFIP is 4.61and he will progress closer to that number tonight. Gleyber Torres ($4800 onDraftKings) is hitting .343 with 13 RBI and 10 R in road games. D.J. LeMahieu ($4200)is hitting .328 with 10 RBI and 12 R on the road. Clint Frazier is at .297 withthree homers and 10 RBI on the road and I like him for $4100 even if he islower in the lineup. Kendrys Morales can be a good price saver at $3400. Alsoconsider Aaron Hicks at $4200.
Rangers: Mike Leake is always not as surefire bet to stackagainst because he will occasionally deliver gems when you are not expectingthem. But you have to take the shot here because of the home park and thebetter likelihood that Leake will struggle. Willie Calhoun ($4500) is hitting .500 againstRHPs so far, with two homers and seven RBI in 20 ABs. Shin-Soo Choo ($4900) isat .315 with seven HR and 19 RBI vs. righties. Joey Gallo has 10 HRs, 21 RBIand 27 BB vs. RHPs and may be the essential play of the night against a pitcherthat traditionally is not big on the Ks. I’ll spend the $5700. Nomar Mazara($4100) and Asdrubal Cabrera ($3800) can ease some salary pressure here. I alsolike Hunter Pence ($5300) here and may use him if I employ multiple lineups.
Braves: Andrew Suarez had a 6.33 ERA in Triple-A thisseason, and is a prime candidate to get ripped even in a pitcher’s park. I willstart off with Ronald Acuna Jr. at $4600, happily take Josh Donaldson at$4,300, and do the same with Austin Riley at $4,000. I’ll even pop in Dansby Swansonfor the same price as Riley.
Nationals: You have to consider them against Drew Gagnon ina spot start, as the Mets filler option likely won’t last for long as thiscould turn into an ugly bullpen game at New York. Victor Robles ($4100) ishitting ,297 with 10 RBI and 16 runs scored in road games. Adam Eaton is just$3700 and has three steals and 13 runs scored on the road. Also consider JuanSoto at $4200 and spend the $5100 for Anthony Rendon as you can go with him againstany iffy or unproven pitcher(s).
NOTE: The White Sox have yet to announce their Mondaystarter, but no matter when they do, the Astros will be the obvious chalkystack of the night.
Stacking against Wade Miley does not always work out as some hope, but I will at least get a few Boston bats in my lineups today. J.D. Martinez has crushed lefties with a .424 average, six home runs and 11 RBI. Xander Bogaerts is hitting .323 with three homers and seven RBI vs. LHPs. I will spend the $5100 and $4500 on DraftKings.
It will be a bullpen game for the Yankees, opening with ChadGreen, who has struggled mightily overall this year. I will definitely go withBrandon Lowe for $4900 and save some money with Ji-Man Choi at $3900 with theshort RF porch at Yankee Stadium always being inviting.
I will definitely use some Oakland hitters today againstGregory Soto and the Tigers. Khris Davis has seven home runs and 17 RBI in roadgames. Josh Phegley is hitting .367 with 23 RBI on the road, and I will go withhim even if he hits ninth. Marcus Semien has 12 RBI and 12 runs scored on theroad. Davis fits nicely at $4,500 and Semien and Phegley are $4,100.
Let’s attempt to stack Mets again as they try to avoid an embarrassingsweep at Miami and possibly keep Mickey Callaway employed for one more day. Youwill have to pay $5600 for Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil may not be widely rosteredat $4500, but they are worth using against Sandy Alcantara. Robinson Cano needsto get the media off his back and is just $3700, as is Brandon Nimmo. If ToddFrazier gets in the lineup, he has started to show better form recently and isalso $3700.
Milwaukee is my second favorite stack of the day against theerratic Mike Foltynewicz. Christian Yelich is a big spend at $5800 but well worth it, andI will get Mike Moustakas in there as well at $4600. If Yasmani Grandal is inthe lineup he is $4200 and Keston Hiura is $3400. Check the final Brewerslineup card to see how you can save some money and still run the Milwaukeestack, leading with Yelich. If playing in the earlier games, use the Brewersstack first.
Give me a few White Sox against Trent Thornton. All of the potentialTop 5 in the lineup are in play: Leury Garcia, Tim Anderson, Jose Abreu, YoanMoncada and James McCann if he is in there. If using multiple lineups throw aCWS stack out there. Only Moncada is over $5,000.
It is essential to have at least a Cardinal or two againstDrew Smyly and his 6.85 ERA. Jose Martinez ($4,100) is hitting .417 with sevenRBI and six runs scored in 24 ABs vs, LHPs. Paul DeJong ($4,800) is hitting.333 with seven runs scored in the same amount of ABs vs. lefties.
Drew Pomeranz has a 5.93 ERA and will have a difficult timeat Arizona. Nick Ahmed is hitting .375 with eight RBI and 11 runs scored vs.LHPs and is $3700. Ketel Marte ($5,000) is hitting .302 with five homers and 14RBI vs. lefties.
I will not hesitate to be daring with a K.C. stack againstTyler Skaggs. After the upcoming team I will mention, and the Brewers and Mets, they are my No. 4 overall stack of the day. I definitely want Hunter Dozier at$4100, Whit Merrifield is a good fit at $4500, Aldaberto Mondesi is worth the$4800 and I will take a crack on Jorge Soler at $3800.
The Twins are my favorite overall stack of the day againstYusei Kikuchi, who I do not trust to keep up his recent respectable run ofoutings. Byron Buxton ($4,100) may be low in the lineup, but he is hitting .400vs. lefties. C.J. Cron ($4,200) is a must start at .393 with five homers andnine RBI vs. LHPs. Marwin Gonzalez ($3,400) has started to reappear lately and is hitting.313 vs. lefties. Eddie Rosario ($4,500) is at a .300 clip vs. LHPs. Check thefinal lineup card and consider those names for sure, and also keep in mind WilliansAstudillo is just $3,500. There are some definite friendly prices among theMinnesota options.
