We are back in Texas for The Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial. Last week several golfers called the course at Southern Hills “Colonial on steroids.” Perry Maxwell designed this course and he also designed Southern Hills and the courses are similar. Golfers who are tops in ball striking and SGA (strokes gained approach) will do very well here. The past winners have ranked fourth or better in those metrics.
Whether to trust the weather.
Last week the weather played havoc on the second major in a row. First the Masters and now the PGA had wild weather swings. The Win Daily golf staff was able to warn all our DFS golf family to the preferred splits, the irony is the golfer that won was from the bad weather split. Mito Pereira would like a do over on 18, Rory would like the birdie try on 18 over again, and Justin Thomas is just glad it’s over.
Shrinking Prices
With heavyweight power at the top of the pricing tier, the Charles Schwab ownership projections will allow you to gain leverage and allow for pivots to cheaper chalk. This week DraftKings pricing is decent and fair. I fully expected Brian Harman’s salary to go up three grand but it didn’t. One reason is the Texas posse is heading back across the red river, we are talking about Spieth, Scheffler and Zalatoris, who are planning on teeing it up at Colonial along with JT who took it all down for his second PGA. Justin was asked if Tiger, a dear friend of his, would have comments on JT’s victory. JT smiled and said he would razz him on his hozzle miss hit on the 6th, would berate him for missing the birdie putt at 18 to have to get into a playoff to begin with, and finally that Tiger would say, Good for you! Only 153 more PGA wins to get even with me!
The 19th Hole or the Therapist Couch
One of the keys my game theory tech shared with us was the lingering effects on the PGA Championship major contenders. All of them are teeing it up Thursday. Can JT, with all his come from behind heroics, his 2nd PGA ( special to him because his dad is a PGA pro) and all the media he is contracted to speak too, will that allow him to reset for this week? Will Z should have the easiest pathway back, he now knows he can contend on any course at anytime. Mito will either blow right past his 18th hole collapse and find victory at Colonial, or show up at the first tee and blow chunks all over the PGA announcer.
Lets take a look at this weeks Charles Schwab ownership projections to help you with your teambuilding and roster construction.

Be sure to check out Spenser’s and Stix’s Bettor Golf podcast on Anchor at Spotify. One of the subscribers to the podcast hit for 24 thousand this week for the PGA, last week a subscriber hit for 50 thousand. 74 thousand in two weeks, just for listening to a golf podcast. I like to listen to it on Tuesday nights after the DraftCast. Find a better money making podcast and I won’t even wait,…. you can’t. Period. The money is there, all you need is a pair of ears and a short period of time to drown out the noise and listen to Stix and Spencer. Their content is platinum, and I can give you 74,000 reasons why.
Don’t miss out on the very popular and fun PGA DraftCast with Joel, Sia, (aka Mr. Hair) and Spencer (golf writer of the year) and you, the audience, every Tuesday night at 8:00 EST! There was no Deki-gate this week. Sia endeared himself to the audience by pilfering a few picks they were discussing, all is fair in the war known as DraftCast. The audience was considering legal action which is pretty normal in this litigious society but then found out they would be going up against the Percy Foreman of Florida, Mr. Sia Najad, Esquire. In all fairness he said he mentioned J.J. Spaun on another show on Monday, even if what he allegedly said was, “Spaun is a clown and belongs in the circus, not on the golf course.” EDITORS NOTE: Sia did NOT say that! Joel won last week due to no one withdrawing on his team and some pretty savvy picks. Double Down Dave, drooling from some dynamite picks and thinking of being owed a pizza by yours truly navigated some tricky waters for the audience and they came through with some decent golfers. Spencer isn’t used to losing and worked his way through the pilfering crisis to put a solid team together. Check out the teams on Twitter as well as Sia’s twitter pick for the Outright and FRL markets.
As always, I hope to be with you on Sunday afternoon, in the money. You can also come and hang out in the Win Daily Sports Discord Chat to talk it out with everyone before the lock!
