Waiver Wire

As Week 15 of the NFL season has come and gone, fantasy football managers are already looking to make adjustments to their rosters. Injuries, surprising performances, and emerging talents often prompt the need for some shrewd waiver wire pickups. Here, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Week 16 fantasy football waiver wire pickups, along with a few honorable mentions to keep an eye on.

1. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Heading into the fantasy semi-finals, Chandler has built up momentum after a great performance against the Bengals on Saturday. Chandler ran for 132 yards on Saturday, which was a Vikings season high, as no Viking player had broken the 100-yard mark in the first 14 weeks of the season. He also added three receptions for 25 yards in the game. He gets a tough matchup against a solid Lions rush defense this week but finishes the fantasy season against Green Bay, who has not been good against the run. Chandler is a RB2 play this week, but if you can get to the final, he is an RB1 option, especially if Mattison continues to remain out.

2. Trey Sermon, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Sermon came in for the injured Zack Moss on Saturday and showed flashes of what made him a successful college running back. The Colts are currently struggling with injuries in the RB room, as starter Taylor is doubtful with a thumb injury and backup Moss is dealing with the arm injury that kept him from finishing Saturday’s game. If Moss and Taylor are ruled out, then Sermon is a strong RB2 play this week against the Falcons.

3. Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Browning has been a great fantasy QB, as he has now finished with three straight top-eight QB performances. In his four starts after taking over for Burrow, Browning’s worst finish was QB18, which came against a strong Pittsburgh pass defense. Browning has the weapons to keep finding success in the passing game and improve on his QB18 finish against the Steelers in their rematch this week. With the Bengals fighting to make the playoffs, expect Browning to continue to put up performances in what is left of the fantasy year.

4. Joshua Palmer, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Palmer was involved in one of the worst games of the season on Thursday, where the Raiders destroyed the Chargers. But not everyone on the Chargers struggled, as Palmer finished the game as the WR12, scoring 21.3 points in PPR leagues. With no Keenan Allen, Palmer was the main threat in his first game since week eight. The Chargers get a difficult game against the Bills this week, but the script should call for a lot of passing attempts for the Chargers as they should be down all game.

5. Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans

Brown was the starting WR for the Texans on Sunday, with Collins missing the game due to a calf injury. Brown saw a season high in targets with 11 and was able to catch eight of those targets for 82 yards and his second touchdown of the season. The eight catches he had were a season high for him this year. Collins is listed as questionable heading into week 16, but even if Collins is able to go, Brown is still a solid flex play as he averages 5.8 targets this season, so even as the WR2 for the Texans, he’ll still see plenty of targets.

6. Zamir White, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

White played a huge role in the Raiders’ win over the Chargers on Thursday, as starter Josh Jacobs missed the game. White saw a season high of 70% snaps on Thursday and was able to turn that into 85 total yards and a touchdown on 20 total touches. Obviously, White’s production was in large part due to Jacobs missing the game, but with the Raiders out of contention and Jacobs battling an injury, White can still see a solid workload. If Jacobs is ruled out, I’ll have White as a fantasy starter, but if Jacobs is back, depending on your options, White could be a lower-end flex play.

7. Gus Edwards, RB, Baltimore Ravens

If Edwards wasn’t owned in 70+ percent of leagues, he would be much higher on the list, but we keep him lower because he is a well-known player. But the injury to Keaton Mitchell is going to put Edwards back into the starting role with the Ravens. Over the past three games, Edwards has had loss snaps to Mitchell as the rookie has outsnapped him 82-67. Edwards should get the bulk of the carries left over from Mitchell’s injury, which puts him as a RB1 option going into the final games of fantasy.

8. Justice Hill, RB, Baltimore Ravens

The other Ravens RBs should see an uptick in workload. Hill became the RB3 for the Ravens once Mitchell broke out as the main back. But he’ll return to his RB2 role for the remainder of the season, as Mitchell is done for the year. Prior to Mitchell becoming the starter, Hill averaged nine touches per game. Hill is a flex option going into Week 16 as the Niners have a strong defense.

9. Ezekiel Elliot, RB, New England Patriots

Elliot was the best fantasy RB this week, and with Stevenson out for the year, he should continue to play a huge role for the Patriots. Elliot should be picked up in every league where he is available, as he is a starting RB in all fantasy formats.

10. Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have no idea what they are doing on offense, but it’s been working in Allgeier’s favor. Allgeier finished as the Falcons main back on Sunday, having seven more carries than rookie star Bijan Robinson. The Falcons get a great matchup against a Colts side that has been terrible against RBs, allowing the fourth most points per game. Allgeier is a starter in deeper leagues, as it seems the Falcons want to split the backfield instead of relying on their rookie.

Honorable Mentions:
  • Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
  • Demarcus Robinson, WR, Los Angeles Rams
  • D’onta Foreman, RB, Chicago Bears

In the world of fantasy football, being proactive on the waiver wire can often be the difference between success and failure. These Week 15 waiver wire pickups should help you strengthen your roster as the season progresses. Make sure to prioritize your team’s specific needs and potential long-term upside when making your choices.

As Week 14 of the NFL season has come and gone, fantasy football managers are already looking to make adjustments to their rosters. Injuries, surprising performances, and emerging talents often prompt the need for some shrewd waiver wire pickups. Here, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Week 15 fantasy football waiver wire pickups, along with a few honorable mentions to keep an eye on.

1. Joe Flacco, QB, Cleveland Browns

Flacco is one of the best pickups going into Week 15 and the first round of the fantasy playoffs. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has named Flacco the starter for the rest of the season. In his first two games off the couch, Flacco has put up back-to-back QB1 fantasy performances. This Sunday against Jacksonville, Flacco was QB10, finishing the game with 21.34 points. He is averaging 44.5 pass attempts and 282.5 passing yards per game in his two starts for the Browns. Flacco and the Browns get two QB-friendly matchups against Chicago and Houston to start the fantasy playoffs. With all the injuries to QBs the past few weeks, Flacco is a clear QB1 fantasy playoff QB.

2. Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

For the second straight week, Brown was by far the most efficient back of the two. Brown finished the game against the Colts with 11 touches (8 rushing, 3 receiving) for 105 yards and a touchdown, averaging 9.5 yards per touch. Mixon also had a good game but only finished with 5.2 yards per touch. His efficiency with the ball saw him be a RB1 for the first time in fantasy. Brown also saw a nice uptick in snap count percentage, as he doubled the percentage of snaps played from 15% last week to 30% this past Sunday. Brown is a solid flex option for those in need because of injury since the Bengals are now giving him a lot more carries.

3. Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

The second Bengal on this list, Browning, has been a great fantasy QB, as he has now finished with back-to-back QB4 performances. In his three starts after taking over for Burrow, Browning’s worst finish was QB18, which came against a strong Pittsburgh pass defense. Browning has the weapons to keep finding success in the passing game. He does get a tough fantasy playoff schedule, so I have him as my second QB to target behind Flacco, but with players like Chase, Mixon, and Higgins, Brownings should continue to put up starting QB performances despite the matchups.

4. Easton Stick, QB, Los Angeles Chargers

Stick will get his chance to start for the Chargers this weekend as starting QB Justin Hebert is sidelined with a finger injury. Stick played the final 54% of the Chargers snaps against Denver, and while he did struggle against the Broncos, the short practice with the starters before Thursday’s divisional showdown should help him as the playbook will be condensed, which should see him getting more easy throws. With the short week, Stick may not be the best option, but the 10-day rest for Week 16 should make him a much better player next week.

5. Odell Beckham, WR, Baltimore Ravens

The veteran is showing he still has gas left in his tank as he finished with his best fantasy performance of the season against the Rams. Beckham was tied with rookie Zay Flowers for the team lead in targets with 10 against the Rams. Beckham has seen at least five targets in five of his past seven games and has had at least seven in two of his last three. The loss of star TE Andrews opened up the door for Beckham, as he has 15 targets in the two games without Andrews. With the Ravens fighting for the 1st seed in the AFC, Beckham should continue to play a huge role as the other weapons for the Ravens are relatively new.

6. Davis Allen, TE, Los Angeles Rams

Davis Allen took over the starting TE role during Sunday’s game against the Ravens, as Higbee missed the game and Hunter Long was injured during the game. Allen had a career high in just about every WR category, as he finished with five targets, four receptions, and scored his first career touchdown. With Higbee and Long expected to miss some time, Allen will become the main TE for the Rams, and with his breakout performance, he should be a starting TE in fantasy as long as Higbee and Long are out.

7. Patrick Taylor, RB, Green Bay Packers

Taylor was the backup for Dillon on Monday as starter Aaron Jones continues to deal with injuries. For the second time in three weeks, Taylor saw just under 50% of the Packers snaps. Taylor was really efficient with his limited touches, as he finished with six total touches for 52 yards. If Jones continues to miss time, Taylor should stay as the RB2 for the Packers and will continue to get touches to give starter Dillon a rest.

8. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Chandler was part of the mess that was the Raiders against the Vikings on Sunday. No player on the field really did much, but with the injury to starter Mattison Chandler, he becomes the starting RB for the Vikings heading into Saturday’s game against the Bengals. Chandler has been good in his limited rushing attempts, as he is averaging over four yards per carry and has proven he can catch out of the backfield, having 13 receptions this season.

10. Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants

Robinson had his best game of the season, scoring 17.5 fantasy points during Monday night’s upset of the Packers. Robinson had a season high of 79 yards and had seven targets, which is the most targets he has had this season. He seems to have found chemistry with Tommy DeVito, which is great for fantasy owners because the Giants don’t have too many weapons behind Barkley. Robinson is a great WR2/Flex option heading into Week 15.

Honorable Mentions:
  • Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
  • Demarcus Robinson, WR, Los Angeles Rams
  • D’onta Foreman, RB, Chicago Bears

In the world of fantasy football, being proactive on the waiver wire can often be the difference between success and failure. These Week 15 waiver wire pickups should help you strengthen your roster as the season progresses. As Week 13 of the NFL season has come and gone, fantasy football managers are already looking to make adjustments to their rosters. Injuries, surprising performances, and emerging talents often prompt the need for some shrewd waiver wire pickups. Here, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Week 14 fantasy football waiver wire pickups, along with a few honorable mentions to keep an eye on.

1. Ezekiel Elliot, RB, New England Patriots

Elliot is one of the best pickups going into Week 14. After Rhamondre Stevenson’s unfortunate injury during the 1st quarter of Sunday’s game, Elliot became the focal point of the Patriots rush offense. Elliot saw 17 of New England’s 19 rushing attempts after becoming the main back. He finished the game with 21 total touches for 92 yards, with everything coming after Stevenson’s injury. The Patriots are not a good football team, especially with their bad QB room, so expect them to lean more on the experienced back to close out the season.

2. Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans

Most of us have been waiting for Spears to have a bigger role with the Titans offense, and we should get a chance in Week 14. Derrick Henry’s status is up in the air as he exited last week’s game with a concussion. After Henry exited the game, Spears had 14 touches for 47 yards, but he did fail to reach the end zone late in the game inside the five. If Henry is out, Spears becomes a good RB2 option in fantasy.

3. Jordan Love, WR, Green Bay Packers

Love found his game after Green Bay’s by-week in week six. Since the bye, Love has had five games where he finished as a QB1, including his last three where he was a Top 10 fantasy QB. Love has a good schedule for the fantasy playoffs, as he’ll have games against Tampa Bay and Minnesota, who have both not faired well against QBs in fantasy. Love is a QB1 in every league in what remains of the fantasy year.

4. Brevin Jordan, TE, Houston Texans

Jordan got his chance to start for the Texans this past weekend as starting TE Dalton Schultz was sidelined with a hamstring injury. Jordan had a season high of 51 snaps and 64 receiving yards, as well as four targets. Schultz’s status for their game against the Jets is still up in the air, but if Schultz is a no-go, then Jordan is a good option to replace him. The season-ending injury to rookie Tank Dell is going to open up targets for more players, as Dell accounted for 6.8 targets per game, which is second on the team only behind Collin’s 7.7 targets.

5. Xavier Gipson, WR, New York Jets

Gipson had his best game of his short career against Atlanta, ending up with a season high in targets (6), receptions (5), and yards (77). Over the past three weeks, Gipson has been the number-two WR for the Jets and is only behind Conklin and Wilson in snaps and targets. The Jets have been struggling at QB, but if Gipson continues to be one of their main targets, it shouldn’t matter for fantasy.

6. Mitch Trubisky, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

You know this has been a weird year when I am writing up Mitch Trubisky as a QB to pick up this late into the season. Trubisky had a solid game against the Cardinals in relief of the injured Pickett, who left the game with an ankle injury. He played the final 49% of Pittsburgh’s offensive snaps and managed to throw for 117 yards and a touchdown in what was half a game of work. This week he may not be in play against New England, who held Herbert and the Chargers to only six points, but he gets soft playoff matchups against the Bengals and Seattle.

7. Joe Flacco, QB, Cleveland Browns

Another QB I didn’t think I would be writing up in 2023 is Flacco. Flacco made his 2023 debut against the Rams this past week and finished the game just outside QB1, as he finished as the QB13 for the week. Even if DTR is activated from the concussion protocol, Flacco should be the starter going forward. This is very beneficial as he has one of the easiest fantasy playoff schedules of all QBs as he plays against Jacksonville, Chicago, and Houston. Those are three teams that have struggled against QBs in fantasy.

8. Jonathan Mingo, WR, Carolina Panthers

Mingo saw a career high of 10 targets this past weekend against Tampa Bay. From those 10 targets, he had a career high of six receptions for 69 yards. He has yet to score his first career touchdown, but with him averaging 7.3 targets per game the last four weeks, it is hard to believe he won’t find one to end the year. The Panthers finish the season against tough opponents, so they will have to throw a lot to keep up, which means we will continue to see Mingo heavily involved in the passing game.

9. Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

While Brown finished with 10 fewer rushing attempts than starter Joe Mixon, he was by far the most efficient back of the two. Mixon finished the game averaging 3.6 yards per carry on 19 carries, while Brown had nine attempts, averaging 6.8 yards. Mixon is the main back, but with Brown getting a carry on 82% of his snaps, Brown can still be viable in deep leagues. Also, Brown is a great pickup in dynasty leagues.

10. Samaje Perine, RB, Denver Broncos

Perine is an interesting player in fantasy. Prior to this past weekend, he had finished as a mid-tier RB2 in most leagues. Against the Vikings, he finished with seven receptions for 60 yards and finished the game with 13.7 fantasy points. He followed that with seven carries for 55 yards and a score the following week. Unfortunately, this past weekend, the Broncos took a major step back against the Texans. Perine only finished with three touches for six yards. Perine is still a viable fantasy RB, as he gets the Chargers twice in what is left of the fantasy year.

Honorable Mentions:
  • Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans
  • Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
  • Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

In the world of fantasy football, being proactive on the waiver wire can often be the difference between success and failure. These Week 14 waiver wire pickups should help you strengthen your roster as the season progresses. Make sure to prioritize your team’s specific needs and potential long-term upside when making your choices.

As Week 12 of the NFL season has come and gone, fantasy football managers are already looking to make adjustments to their rosters. Injuries, surprising performances, and emerging talents often prompt the need for some shrewd waiver wire pickups. Here, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Week 13 fantasy football waiver wire pickups, along with a few honorable mentions to keep an eye on.

1. Greg Dortch, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Dortch had a repeat of Week 11, as he once again saw eight or more targets for the second straight week. Over the past two weeks, Dortch has 17 targets for nine receptions, 103 yards, and a touchdown. He seems to have found a connection with Murray, and with the injuries to a lot of the WR room, Dortch can continue to put up WR2 or better numbers. Dortch is a solid WR/Flex player in every league going into their week 13 game.

2. Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

Freiermuth seems to be the beneficiary of the change in OC. He finished as the TE1 for Week 12, finishing his game with nine catches for 120 yards on 11 targets, all three of which were season highs for him. Freiermuth is definitely a player to pick up as we head into the fantasy playoffs, as he is going to get easy matchups against the Colts and Bengals, who have given up a lot of points to fantasy TEs this season.

3. Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are running out of options for a player to play for Kenaan Allen. So enter their starting TE, Everett, who came back strong after missing a game the previous game. Everett finished third in targets against the Ravens, only behind Allen and Guyton. With all the injuries and no one stepping up in the WR room, expect Herbert to lean on his trusted TE when not targeting Allen.

4. Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens

Likely had six targets in his first start with Andrews out. He’s currently the third pass catcher for the Ravens behind Odell and Flowers but should still put up good numbers for fantasy as he is a clear starter on the team. For those who loss Andrews last week and/or have Lamar at QB Likely is a great pickup. He is a lower end TE1 from this week until the end of the season

5. Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Since Week 9, Mitchell has seen an uptick in his workload and snap percentage. His snap percentage has gone from 18% in Week 9 to 24%, 36%, and now 46% in the following three weeks. While he is still not the top back for the Ravens, Mitchell is still a good play in the flex spot as he takes over the backfield, and by playoff time, he will be the main back for them.

6. Russell Wilson, QB, Denver Broncos

Broncos Country, let’s ride! It finally looks like it is time to ride, and I’m hopping in. The Broncos have turned around their season over the past month and a half. One of the reasons for their turnaround is the play of Wilson. He comes into Week 13 with 20 touchdowns, which is tied for 5th in the league, and over the past seven games, he has had five 30+ rushing games. He is looking closer to the Wilson we saw in Seattle with the rushing upside. Wilson is a starting QB in fantasy as he gets some easy games against teams like Houston, New England, and LAC, who all struggle against QBs in fantasy.

7. Jalin Hyatt, WR, New York Giants

Giant fans have been waiting for Hyatt to show glimpses of the player he was during his time at Tennessee in college. Hyatt set a career high in targets (6), catches (5), and yards (109). The Giants offense is bad outside of Barkley, so it is not out of this world to see Hyatt end the season as their best WR. His skill set should open up the field, and he should see some deep targets. Going into this week, I like Hyatt as a lower-end Flex play, especially with the final bye weeks coming up.

8. Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders

Samuel had his breakout game of the season during their midday Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys. He had a season high in targets (12), receptions (9), and yards (100). While this may be a one-and-done game, it is hard to see his matchup against the Dolphins this week and not want to put him in my flex spot. Samuel is going to be more of a player that can help you get into the playoffs with his Week 13 matchup.

9. Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers

After Reed put together back-to-back WR1 performances, he put up WR2 numbers in Green Bay’s Thanksgiving game against the Lions. Since Green Bay’s bye week, Reed has 32 targets for 23 receptions, 287 yards, and three touchdowns. With Green Bay on the edge of a playoff spot, Reed should see a lot more work, which is great for fantasy owners.

10. Samaje Perine, RB, Denver Broncos

Perine is an interesting player in fantasy. Over the past two weeks, he has finished as a mid-tier RB2 in most leagues, but he has done it in two different ways. Against the Vikings, he only had one carry for seven yards but found success in the passing game, ending with seven receptions for 60 yards and finishing the game with 13.7 fantasy points. Fast forward to this Sunday; he only had one catch for 11 yards but ended up getting seven carries for 55 yards and a score to finish with 13.6 fantasy points. Perine’s last two games make him a decent option to start in the RB2/Flex spot in the final two games of the fantasy season.

Honorable Mentions:
  • Zach Moss, RB, Indianapolis Colts
  • Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings
  • Roschon Johnson, RB, Chicago Bears

In the world of fantasy football, being proactive on the waiver wire can often be the difference between success and failure. These Week 13 waiver wire pickups should help you strengthen your roster as the season progresses. Make sure to prioritize your team’s specific needs and potential long-term upside when making your choices.
