UFC Vegas 65

LEWIS V SPIVAK

We’re back after a MASSIVE numbered card which saw two titles change hands and we were able to predict both of them in last week’s article! We are back in Vegas for tonight’s card and today’s action will kick off at 1:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with a very important heavyweight fight as these two heavyweights will try to jockey for position in the UFC Top 10 rankings! Now, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 1:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the possibility of low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 65 Lewis vs Spivak.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Andre Fialho vs Muslim Salikhov

This is the tale of two different outputs. Fialho lands more punches but also absorbs more damage whereas Salikhov throws less but also gets hit less than his opponents. The problem for Salikhov is that Fialho doesn’t need to connect too many times to get his opponent wobbling. Fialho is an extremely strong power puncher who already holds two First round KOs in his short UFC career. Even though this is a close matchup Fialho’s overall higher activity is making me lean more toward him but he will have to keep an eye on Salikhov’s grappling as I haven’t seen much from him on the ground but he was held down for almost a minute when he was taken down by Michel Pereira in his first UFC fight. In short, play with caution but I am definitely on the Fialho side of this fight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Andre Fialho SECOND-ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Chase Sherman

I was looking at Waldo’s name when I first looked at the card and realized, HE FOUGHT LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. Those who read the October 29th Article would remember that we had Cortes-Acosta winning by First Round KO and although it took all 15 minutes, the fight itself was very convincing in favour of Cortes-Acosta. Today he’s back to face the likes of Chase Sherman, who similarly to Vanderaa is on the lower end of the UFC skill ladder. This matchup was put together on short notice as Sherman was meant to fight Josh Parisien two weeks ago but I think this is a rise in competition that is too steep for Sherman. Both Sherman and Cortes-Acosta have similar SLpM rates however, Sherman absorbs nearly twice as much damage as Cortes-Acosta does. With the amount of power that Waldo packs in his punches, getting in the way of those is not a smart idea but I don’t think he’ll be able to avoid getting flattened out before the night is over.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Waldo Cortes-Acosta SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Jack Della Maddalena vs. Danny Roberts

Della Maddalena is one of the most savage up-and-comers I’ve seen in the UFC with his two appearances in the Octagon to date being brutal 1st round KO wins. Della Maddalena has a very powerful left hand and an insanely high strike rate at 8.24 SLpM. Roberts on the other hand has 3.13 SLpM, not even in the same ballpark. To his own credit, Roberts has been in the UFC for a while (since 2015), but he has never seemed to find any consistency, and it’s not likely to get much better with his matchup tonight. Not much else to say about this matchup, I’ll be taking Della Maddalena all the way tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jack Della Maddalena FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Derrick Lewis (5 ROUNDER)

Ion Cutelaba

Zhalgas Zhumagulov

Maryna Moroz

Miles Johns (Vince Morales is playable on DFS as a DEEP GPP Play, I would lean slightly towards Johns in this matchup)

Ricky Turcios

Vanessa Demopoulos FADE

Brady Heistand

Natalia Silva FADE

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 1 UFC Parlay(s). I will be focusing on the three targets and my honorable mention fighters listed in my article to be a part of 99.9 percent of my lineups. Some fights in this slate are tricky to predict a winner and all fights are pretty close in skillset as UFC fighters are the elite of the elite. I usually employ a hedging technique on the fights that are closer in odds. I’m focusing on building a GPP-winning lineup.

I’m building lineups that can variate from the field and taking bigger risks tonight. I will use my core fighters (Locked-In, Honorable Mention) to be a staple in my DFS lineups, and I will build around them using the available salary with the remainder of my predicted winners. Remember, to take down a GPP; you have to be different and take risks. Scared money doesn’t make money in tournaments. For any further questions, I will be available until lock in our WinDaily Discord chat. GOOD LUCK, and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!

UFC 281

ADESANYA V PEREIRA

We have a BIG card coming straight from the BIG Apple tonight! As the fighters gear up to compete in Madison Square Garden, WinDaily will bring you an in-depth analysis of our top three plays as well as quick hits on the rest of the monster card. Today’s action will kick off at 6:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 14-fights that will end with two MASSIVE Title Fights between City Kickboxing Star Israel Adesanya and his old nemesis Alex Pereira as well as Carla Esparza in her first strawweight title defence against former champ Zhang Weili. Now, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 6:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the possibility of low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 281 Adesanya vs Pereira.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya

We are starting off the card with what might be the most contentious pick in the article. We got even riskier as Pereira made weight with minutes to spare. As we know, Adesanya is a superb athlete, he’s been extremely dominant in both UFC and Kickboxing. Throughout his entire career, he’s only lost to the same person twice only once in his career, those losses came against Alex Pereira. People know the story, and the history between these two, so why point out their kickboxing record head-to-head? Both of these fighters have a very similar approach in MMA. Namely, to pretend grappling doesn’t exist and use their elite-level kickboxing to get the job done. Israel Adesanya got held down but Jan Blachowicz in a title fight. If that doesn’t scream poor grappling, I don’t know what does. For his part, Pereira does not have a strong BJJ background either, but he does train with one of the best BJJ practitioners in UFC history, former Lightheavyweight Champ, Glover Texeira and that can definitely help Periera adapt to whatever Israel’s gameplan happens to be or even can lead to Pereira adding a new dimension to the fight of his own. Israel has far more experience in the UFC and MMA in general, but Pereira’s meteoric rise is backed by dominant performances against top-level talent and a wealth of history in the world of kickboxing, including two clear victories against his opponent tonight. (As far as stats, they have been fighting for essentially the same amount of time as they both started their kickboxing careers in 2010 and Pereira is only two years older than the champ. Their height and reach are identical and I’d imagine that Pereira would have more of a weight advantage coming into fight night)

MY UFC DFS PICK: Alex Pereira SECOND-ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Dominick Reyes vs. Ryan Spann

Spann is the definition of terrible. His wins have been against questionable competition and his losses have really exposed major flaws in his MMA (Keeps his chin high at times and zero ground game, to name a few). Reyes on the other hand is a two time Light Heavyweight title challenger with his only three losses coming against champions (two title fights and a loss to Prochazka who would go on to win the belt in his next fight against Texeira) That is all to say that Reyes has only lost to the best of the best. It doesn’t look great on his record that the losses all came one after the other but nonetheless Reyes’ competition was very high and Spann is not at that level. I think the strength of schedule will make the story of this fight. Reyes is a much more technical fighter, he has a better strike differential (Lands around one more strike than he absorbs per minute compared to Spann) and if Spann tries to take him down and hold on for most of the fight, Reyes has a lot of experience defending the takedown as he stopped 7 of Jones’ 9 takedown attemps. Spann is no Jon Jones and I don’t see this being a competitive matchup for very long.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Dominick Reyes SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Ottman Azaitar vs. Matt Frevola

Azaitar is a beast and honestly I’m surprised the odds are as close as they are. Azaitar is 13-0-0 with two wins in the UFC (both of which came by First Round KO) and is coming up against a guy who has lost two of his last three UFC fights including an embarrassing 7-second finish against Terrance McKinney. The only concerns I have for Azaitar is ring rust since he has not fought in the octagon since late 2020 whereas Frevola fought earlier this year. With that, I would also be concerned with Azaitar’s tank if the fight does go into the later rounds but I don’t think the fight will get that far. Azaitar packs too much power in his punches and Frevola is definitely suceptible to Azaitar’s overhand right. Due to Azaitar’s finishes, we don’t have the largest stat sample from his UFC fights but what we can tell is that Frevola absorbs more strikes than he lands, that Azaitar lands his strikes at a better rate than Frevola does and that Azaitar defends strikes better than Frevola does. I think Azaitar will make quick work of Frevola tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Ottman Azaitar FIRST-ROUND KO.

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Zhang Weili (5 ROUNDER) FADE

Dustin Poirier

Chris Gutierrez (Frankie Edgar should not be fighting in the UFC, he has taken enough damage and I think this matchup is one of the less competitive fights on tonight’s card)

Dan Hooker (They’re pushing Puelles too far too fast here. I get that Hooker has adopted more of a gatekeeper role as of late but he’s only really lost to top-level talent like Poirier, Chandler, Makachev and most recently Arnold Allen. Puelles is not in that same category. I have seen some really uninspiring performances from him and to me he’d need to prove himself a bit more before I think he could take on a challenge like Hooker)

Renato Moicano (I like Brad Riddell as a value play on DFS, he definitely has a path to victory in this fight and I certainly wouldn’t count him out as I am only slightly leaning towards Moicano)

Erin Blanchfield (I get that there is a lot of hype behind Molly McCann, but talent beats hype… every time. Blanchfield is much more technical and I think this matchup might have been more than Meatball can handle. Blanchfield is one of the best technical fighters in the Flyweight division, and Molly has shown a lot of technical holes outside of the flashy knockout wins. A win here from Blanchfield will definitely see her propelled into the Women’s Flyweight top 10 with a win here tonight.)

Silviana Gomez Juarez FADE

Andre Petroski

Seung-Woo Choi

Montel Jackson

Nicolae Negumereanu (I have seen a lot of impressive stuff from Negumereanu, and on the flip side, I have seen some moments from Ullberg that make me doubt his skill set. Namely, getting gassed and losing to Kennedy Nzechukwu. Since that fight, the UFC has matched Ullberg up with a couple of cans, and I think that Negumereanu will be Ullberg’s first real test since the loss against Nzechukwu. Ullberg can most definitely win this fight, but I have a lot of question marks on his past performances and his ground game)

UFC Vegas 64

RODRIGUEZ V LEMOS

We’re back with another UFC Vegas card, after a lot of surprises in last weeks card, today we have a lot of fighters who will be looking to propel their position in the rankings with a statement win. Today’s slate will start at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with two top 10 female strawweight fighters that are looking to propel themselves into the top 5 with a win here tonight. Now, let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 4:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the possibility of low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 64 Rodriguez vs Lemos.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Daniel Rodriguez vs Neil Magny

We are seeing a resurgence in Daniel Rodriguez. After a surprise loss to Nicholas Dalby, D-Rod has rattled off four wins, including a win less than two months ago against Li Jingliang. Both of these fighters have different things in their favour for this matchup. In Magny’s case its the reach and the height, he holds a two in height advantage and a six inch reach advantage over Rodriguez, as he does over most of his opponents. Rodriguez has the advantage in the striking deparment as he rattles off a 7.75 Strikes Landed per Minute rate compared to Magny’s 3.59. This is a significant discrepancy that cannot be ignored. Rodriguez also packs a crazy amount of power in his hands and Magny needs to be really careful not to get caught. Also, the only one with a real chance at finishing this fight is Rodriguez, 6 of Magny’s last 7 fights ended by decision with the only other fight being a loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov. On top of that Magny has had a shaky tenure in the UFC as of late going 2-2 in his last four including a split decision win over Chiesa. I think that Magny has a lot of holes in his game and that eventually Rodriguez will find the right moment to end the fight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Daniel Rodriguez SECOND-ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Miranda Maverick vs. Shana Young

I honestly cannot believe they made this matchup. I ccan understand them wanting to do Maverick a favour or two after her shock split decision loss to Maycee Barber last year followed by a matchup against Erin Blanchfield few months later but this is quite the gimme fight. The only person Shana Young has beaten in the UFC (Gina Mazany) has since been cut. Young has had a really rough tenure in the UFC suffering losses to both Macy Chiasson and Stephanie Egger and one could argue that she didn’t do a whole lot to earn her UFC shot in the first place. She lost her Contender Series fight to Sarah Alpar and made it in off a unanimous decision win in Invicta that she was very much expected to win. Now, she has a matchup with a top 15 flyweight, this should not be close. Not to mention, Maverick and Young have already fought in an exhibition fight in 2019 in Invicta, a fight which Maverick won handily by RNC in the first round. I see the same thing happening in this fight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Miranda Maverick FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Jake Hadley vs. Carlos Candelario

This fight will be the second fight of the night and they really want to kick things off with some fireworks. In his Contender Series fight, he truly dominated against Ultimate Fighter alum Mitch Raposo with a second-round submission finish following a first round that he dropped to Raposo. His contract wasn’t guaranteed after his statement win however since he came into that fight a pound over the limit. Dana White decided to take a chance on him anyways and since then Hadley has had one UFC fight where he largely got dominated on the ground for three rounds. Candelario on the other hand has had two UFC fights and two decision losses and if he doesn’t produce a result in this fight then he could easily find himself outside of the UFC (even more so considering that Candelario missed weight bad for this fight). Technically speaking, Hadley is much more skilled than Candelario and that will be very apparent when the fight reaches the mat. Like in his matchup against Taira, Candelario will spend most of the fight in defensive grappling positions trying not to get submitted. At the end of the day I don’t think Candelario has enough skill to counteract Hadley’s grappling and even though there is a chance of a deicison I am leaning more towards a Submission win for Hadley

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jack Hadley SECOND-ROUND SUBMISSION (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION).

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Marina Rodriguez (5 ROUNDER) (Lemos has power but Rodriguez has some of the most technical striking I’ve seen in the womens featherweight division. I think that Rodriguez will use her jab to set the pace of the fight and even though it’ll be close I see Rodriguez having a clear advantage)

Grant Dawson (I expect a bit of a grappling match in this one and even though Madsen may have a clear advantage in experience, the 10 year age gap is too significant to ignore. On top of that we have seen Dawson finish some good fighters like Jared Gordon and Mike Triziano, whereas Madsen isn’t really finishing anyone anymore. Madsen might work for DFS but I’m leaning quite strongly towards Dawson to get the win here)

Tagir Ulanbekov (Big Exception here: I like Maness a lot for DFS, Ulanbekov is going to try to grapple his way to a win as he did in his three UFC fights thus far. This strategy really backfired for him in his last fight against Tim Elliott and Nate Maness is can exploit the same holes that Elliott did. I would consider Maness for DFS purposes)

Shaylian Nuerdanbieke

Josh Parisian

Mario Bautista

Polyana Viana FADE (This matchup is bad vs worse, after he loss against Tabatha Ricci, I didn’t see myself taking Viana in any other fight but against Jinh Yu Frey, I dont think it’ll be too hard for her. Ultimately, this fight is difficult to confidently pick and I’d recommend avoiding it overall)

Johnny Munoz Jr.

Tamires Vidal FADE (This one is more playable than the Viana vs Frey fight as I am more confident in Vidal but for DFS purposes I would avoid this fight as I see a low scoring decision win with an outside chance of a submission coming from Vidal. There are better fights to target on this card)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 1 UFC Parlays. UFC Vegas 63

KATTAR V ALLEN

After an insane card last week in Abu Dhabi, we are back state-side for a UFC Fight Night card that is jam-packed with action. We have some newcomers and some returning faces on this card, and I can’t wait to break down today’s top plays. Today’s slate will start at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 11-fights that will end with an action-packed featherweight fight which will have a lot of implications for the future of the division as both of these fighters are looking to propel themselves into the top 5 with a win here tonight.

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 63 Kattar vs Allen.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Andrei Arlovski vs Marcos Rogerio de Lima

This matchup just goes to show how far the heavyweight division has fallen as an overall pool of talent. It’s now at a point where a 43-year-old fighter is finding himself on a four-fight win streak and six wins in his last seven, only losing to Tom Aspinall. However, de Lima is no Aspinall. De Lima has very little talent and is surviving in a UFC division that is deprived of talent. Let’s be honest about the situation, a 43-year-old would not be in the top 15 of a middleweight or flyweight division. This circus could only take place in the heavyweight or light heavyweight division. But let’s face facts, Arlovski has been outclassing these fighters for about a round and a half, then he gasses out. He does enough to win decisions, and oftentimes, his opponents will gas out, too and will be unable to finish him in the third round. This is a consistent trend in Arlovski’s recent fights. I am happy the legend has been able to extend his career in this way with a lot of wins, and I don’t see the story ending here since de Lima does not have the talent to beat Arlovski on the feet. Unless Arlovski’s skills really fell off a cliff since his last fight in April, I see a very similar story for his third fight of the year, and I like Arlovski in an underdog position tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Andrei Arlovski UNANIMOUS DECISION

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Christian Rodriguez vs. Joshua Weems

Weems is making his UFC debut tonight against Christian Rodriguez, who himself is appearing in his second UFC fight tonight following a close loss to Jonathan Pearce, where Rodriguez was held on the ground for over 11 minutes of the fight. Rodriguez did have some impressive moments on the feet despite getting outclassed on the mat. Weems does have some skill on the ground, but his striking game is far behind Rodriguez’s to the point where I think Rodriguez will be able to set the pace of the fight with his sheer volume and based on the output of both of these fighters, I can see Weems just getting run over by the aggression of Rodriguez. We’re gonna see a lot of action in this one, and if Rodriguez can avoid the mat, he will fare well in this one.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Christian Rodriguez SECOND-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Waldo Cortez-Acosta vs. Jared Vanderaa

For those who have kept an eye on the Arlovski late-career run. You may remember Vanderaa as one of Arlovski’s victims, as he lost to him in February of 2022. Since then, Vanderaa has lost two more times and is on a four-fight losing streak. It just goes to show how weak the heavyweight division in the UFC actually is that he’s been able to secure another fight in the UFC. I have seen Vanderaa’s poor MMA abilities since his appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series where he almost lost to Harry Hunsucker… yes, the one who went 0-3 in the UFC as well. It’s beyond me that either fighter from that matchup had any UFC career at all. Just to illustrate the point, Vanderaa has only had one win following the Hunsucker win back in 2020 and has racked up five losses. On the other side of this fight is Waldo Cortez-Acosta, an undefeated fighter out of the Dominican Republic who currently sits 7-0-0, with his last three fights coming by way of knockout (all of which took place in 2022). This fight won’t be competitive, and I don’t see Vanderaa having much of a UFC career beyond this fight, despite the fact that the heavyweight division is a shell of its former self.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Waldo Cortez-Acosta FIRST-ROUND KO

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Arnold Allen (5 ROUNDER)

Max Griffin

Tresean Gore DEEP GPP (A lot of people have Fremd winning this fight, and it is true that Gore has not shown a lot of ability following his injury that kept him out of the finale of the Ultimate Fighter as he lost to Bryan Battle and Cody Brundage, but Fremd has not been that impressive either as he lost his only fight in the UFC. Fremd will have a significant height advantage and a sizeable reach advantage, but Gore has the talent to make this a competitive fight, and I think he can work as a value piece for DFS)

Dustin Jacoby

Phil Hawes (Roman Dolidze can work as a value piece in this matchup, but this fight is between two high-level strikers, and what has me leaning ever so slightly towards Hawes is the fact that he strikes a lot more often than Dolidze with over three more SLpM and Hawes is a much harder striker as well. Dolidze’s path to victory in this one is a grapple fest like he did against Laureano Starapoli. That will be harder against Hawes, who currently sports a 100% Takedown Defence rate.)

Jun Yong Park

Chase Hooper (Chase will be shooting for Submissions for the entire fight, don’t expect a lot of standup in this one)

Carlos Mota (I like Mota by knockout in this one)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 2 UFC Parlays. UFC 280

OLIVEIRA V MAKACHEV

We got a banger… Welcome back, everyone, to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! We are back after two weaker cards we are coming into today with one of the BIGGEST, MOST ANTICIPATED cards of the year! Today’s slate will start at 10:00 AM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with two title fights in the Men’s Lightweight and Bantamweight Divisions. Let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 10:00 AM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the possibility of low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 280 Oliveira vs Makachev.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makachev

I usually don’t do this, I never list the main event within my three plays of the day, but this card is different. There are a couple of underdogs who could do some damage, AJ Dobson, Sean O’Malley and Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, but something about this fight makes me lack a lot of confidence in Makachev. Trust me, I’ve been burned by Oliveira wins before, whenever he is an underdog, he rises to the occasion. That’s been a theme of the 11-fight winning streak he is currently on. On the Makachev side of things, he’s a known quantity, his grappling is the same, and overall he’s a little below Khabib’s level but has adopted a very similar fighting style, and the Eagle will be in his corner to give directions on how to take control of the fight. Makachev has some serious holes in his game, he’s been able to cover them up against guys who are not on the same level as him when it comes to grappling, but Oliveira will be a problem for him on the ground. I think this is a very likely upset, and although I wouldn’t include it in your safe parlays, I would definitely take the risk in DFS and on some riskier parlays.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Charles Oliveira THIRD-ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Sean Brady vs. Belal Muhammad

Here we have a Philly v Chicago matchup, and no, this is not the Blackhawks vs the Flyers. This matchup is going to be more of a wrestling exhibition, as I don’t think I’ve seen either of these fighters rely on anything but their grappling to rack up UFC wins. Muhammad is known for having one of the most boring fight styles in the UFC, and although Brady keeps things more interesting, he still has a fighting game largely dominated by wrestling. Belal has an average fight time of 14 minutes, and Brady’s is around 13 minutes, so they both go to the judges’ cards a lot. Similarly, both hold similar striking stats, with their Strikes Landed per Minute (or SLpM) around 4 and their Strikes Absorbed per Minute (or SApM) around 3. Evens out to a Strike Differential (or SD) of around +1. Where they break apart, however, is in the grappling department. Brady has a much better takedown accuracy of 60% compared to Belal’s 35%, and Brady averages nearly one more takedown more than Belal per fight. Brady also currently carries a perfect record and has a much more developed grappling game than Belal, I think that this matchup will kick Belal out of the top five and out of the title conversation. He is simply punching above his weight right now.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Sean Brady UNANIMOUS DECISION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Muhammad Mokaev vs. Malcolm Gordon

This is easily the biggest mismatch on the card. Mokaev is an undefeated prospect coming out of the United Kingdom and has some of the greatest fundamentals out of any prospect that we’ve seen in a long time. Gordon has been dealt a really bad hand in this matchup, and I see Mokaev getting the job done quickly in the first round. Gordon can keep things competitive on the feet, but once he gets taken down, it’s game over. I think there is some good value in an under two rounds or even first-round finish prop, but if you can find Mokaev by finish (both KO and SUB), then I would definitely recommend hopping on that line for your parlays. Bet365 currently has it listed as -250. This is not to say that Mokaev won’t face some challenges as he rises through the UFC ranks, but this matchup should not be competitive, and I can definitely see Mokaev reaching the potential of a top-5 flyweight or maybe even a champion or title contender one day.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Muhammad Mokaev FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

TJ Dillashaw (5 ROUNDER) (Very close matchup between Dillashaw and Sterling, although I know that Sterling has a very good grappling pedigree [which is why he can be known as the human backpack], I think this fight stays on the feet for the majority of the time and assuming it goes to the judges, in a 25-minute grudge match, I think Dillashaw is more consistent and has a better long term game that will make the difference.)

Petr Yan (Although I like Yan to win based on his hand speed and punching power, I think there is some value in O’Malley as an underdog, on paper Petr Yan should be ahead of O’Malley, but Yan usually takes a round to settle in if O’Malley could use that to his advantage and put the pressure on early, he could surprise people. Despite that, I still can’t underestimate Yan’s Muy Thai kicks, and we have seen O’Malley get severely compromised by kicks in the past that were nowhere near the level of what Yan will be able to do)

Mateusz Gamrot (This one was tricky for me to decide on, both fighters have their strengths and are definitely deserving of their place in the Lightweight division, but I think that Gamrot has more experience, is more well-rounded and has had a stronger strength of schedule. Not to mention, I cannot even explain how impressive it is to hold a win over Arman Tsarukyan. That fight is rightly considered a contender for fight of the year.)

Manon Fiorot

Caio Borralho

Nikita Krylov

Gadzhi Omargadzhiev (This is definitely one of the closer fights on the card, and although it could go either way, I think Omargadzhiev has been the more consistent fighter, and I like him in this position as an underdog.)

Armen Petrosyan

Karol Rosa FADE

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 2 UFC Parlays.

UFC Vegas 62

GRASSO V ARAUJO

Welcome back, everyone, to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! We are back for our first card in two weeks! Like our last UFC card, we have a lighter card for today’s UFC Fight Night Slate. Today’s slate will start at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 11-fights that will end with a fight between two top women’s flyweights who can get themselves into the title picture with a win tonight. Let’s get right into the action!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 62 Grasso vs Araujo

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Cub Swanson vs. Jonathan Martinez

If this fight took place even 5 years ago, this wouldn’t be a question, but with Cub coming in at 38 years old and with a 10-year age difference from his opponent, it’s hard to say that this matchup is so clear-cut for him. What impresses me the most about Cub is even though he came in this one on weight, he is coming from featherweight, so he cut an extra 10 pounds more than he usually would in order to make bantamweight. The biggest thing Cub has going for him is his experience. Even though Martinez has 10 fights in the UFC (not all of which have gone to plan), Swanson has a whopping 29 fights in the UFC and WEC, including wins over Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier. Cub has had a legendary career and looks ready coming out of this fight camp. I don’t see any signs of him slowing down, and I think he’ll be able to pull out a decision win in the co-main tonight.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Cub Swanson UNANIMOUS DECISION

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Mike Jackson vs. Pete Rodriguez

Both of these fighters have interesting stories about how they got into the UFC and their time in the organization. Pete Rodriguez won four professional fights in iKon by knockout in the first round and was granted a UFC debut against Jack Della Maddalena, who then proceeded to knock him out in the first round with a clean counter left. Mike Jackson… well, he’s been in the UFC since 2016 when he lost to Mickey Gall and has had two fights since then, a win against CM Punk which turned into a no-contest after he tested positive for Marijuana and a DQ win over Dean Barry earlier this year when he got eye poked and could not continue. His performance against CM Punk was so bad that Dana famously stated that Mike Jackson would not fight again in the UFC but fast forward six years later, and he’s in his second fight of the year! This fight should be very straightforward. Rodriguez is going to pick Jackson apart as Barry was before the eye poke. I don’t see this fight going out of the first round, and has clear potential to finish in the first minute as well.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Pete Rodriguez FIRST-ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Tatsuro Taira vs. CJ Vergara

Taira came into the UFC with massive hype around his ground game, but in his first UFC fight, he showed off a good striking ability as well. If it weren’t for the fight inside Carlos Candelario that night, it would’ve ended earlier via Submission in the second round. I haven’t seen enough out of Vergara to prove to me that he can keep up with Taira, and in fact, I have seen Vergara get really lucky in a few of his fights with either his matchups against much weaker opponents or some help from the judges on the scorecard. For Taira, no matter where the fight goes, he can be competitive, and once he brings Vergara to the ground, it’s game over.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Tatsuro Taira SECOND-ROUND SUBMISSION

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Alexa Grasso (5 ROUNDER)

Dusko Todorovic (Both of these fighters have had shaky UFC careers and have serious knockout power, but I think Dusko has a bit more of an advantage in this matchup. I could understand if you lean towards Wright in this matchup)

Alonzo Menifield (Cirkunov has been so bad lately, and I think he’s at actual risk of getting cut if he doesn’t perform tonight. On top of that pressure, he’s fighting a weight class up at light heavyweight, where Menifield usually fights. I think Cirkunov only works in deep GPP formats (especially when putting in a lot of lines). I wouldn’t recommend him in most cases)

Mana Martinez (Davis is really bad… I don’t see him lasting very long in the UFC)

Victor Henry (I wasn’t aware that Assuncao was still in the UFC, but at 40 years old and on a 4-fight losing streak coming into it, I don’t see him lasting much longer. Henry will win convincingly)

Nick Maximov GPP (Malkoun has recorded a few wins that I didn’t think he would get, but he got those wins via laying on top of his opponent for 10 minutes and occasionally throwing some punches. Maximov is a seasoned Jiu-Jitsu fighter coming out of the Diaz Brother’s gym in Stockton, so Malkoun’s usual fight strategy will be very ineffective tonight)

Joanderson Brito

Piera Rodriguez FADE (Sam Hughes is not good, but in her wins, her opponents managed to be worse than she is. Rodriguez will pick her apart for 15 minutes I see this one going directly to the judges score cards in a UD win for Rodriguez)

SUMMARY:

UFC Vegas 61

DERN V YAN

Welcome back, everyone, to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! After a week off, we have a lighter card for today’s UFC Fight Night Slate. Today’s slate will start at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with a fight between two top women’s strawweights who can get themselves into the title picture with a win tonight. Let’s get right into the action!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 61 Dern vs Yan

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Jesse Ronson vs. Joaquim Silva

Oh wow, this matchup is definitely a “Bad vs Worse” situation. I don’t think either of these fighters have much of a future in the UFC. However, I have seen some success out of Ronson recently to make me comfortable in picking him for this matchup. His opponent, Silva, has not won a UFC fight since 2018 and has not fought in the octagon in well over a year. Ronson will have to keep things off the ground as Silva is a BJJ Black belt, but if Ronson is able to keep his distance, he’ll be able to use his kicks to deal damage and take control over the fight. In short, this is not a sure thing but compared to the other fights on the card, it’s our best option.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jesse Ronson UNANIMOUS DECISION

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Randy Brown vs. Fransisco Trinaldo

Trinaldo is a true vet, having fought in the UFC since 2012, he’s racked up a lot of wins and earned a lot of respect to his name yet despite some recent success’ I think the matchup against Randy Brown is one hill he wont be able to climb. Both fighters are BJJ Brown Belts and are 5-1-0 in their last six matchups but Brown has had much stronger matchups and more convincing wins. Trinaldo is also getting up there in age, coming in 12 years older than his opponent at 44 years old. At that age, durability and tank become serious concerns very fast. I don’t know if Trinaldo has a lot of UFC fights left in him (he is definitely still capable of taking out the bottom level of UFC competition) but I do not see him getting past Brown in this matchup especially if the fight goes into the later rounds.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Randy Brown SECOND ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Sodiq Yusuff vs. Don Shainis

Shainis is coming into this one after a big win in Cage Titans earlier this year. Who did he fight you might ask? Brice Picaud, who sits at a record of 9-8. Shainis’ record is very wonk and includes a lot of cans including the greatest can of all time Jay Ellis, who Shainis handed his 105th loss. (Yes the same Jay Ellis who beat Gerald Meerschaert) Bottom line is that the UFC is a different game and making your debut with a padded record against a seasoned UFC fighter in Yusuff is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention that Shainis is coming in on short notice after Yusuff’s matchup against Chikadze fell through. This one should be quick and easy for Yusuff.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Sodiq Yusuff FIRST-ROUND KO

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Mackenzie Dern (5 ROUNDER)

Raoni Barcelos (I think Trevin Jones has a lot of value as an underdog in this matchup, he’s surprised us before and he can surprise us again, only use him in DEEP GPP tournaments though)

Mike Davis (Borshchev was a huge let down in his last fight. He is playable, and if you are going for many lines, he can definitely work in a few. However, I think Davis is rightly the favorite and can put Borshchev away)

John Castaneda (I think Castaneda is rightly the favourite in this matchup but I do see a world where Santos pulls out a win, he’s a very unusual fighter and can cause some problems for Castaneda. Santos is another option for your GPP tournaments)

Aleksei Oleinik

Brendan Allen GPP (It’s close but Allen seems to be a little more skilled than Jotko but I will say Allen was very lucky to get the win over Malkoun, tread with caution if you’re considering Allen or Jotko)

Maxim Grishin

Julia Stoliarenko FADE (Her big advantage is in the grappling department, so I see this fight turning into a contest on the mat for 15 minutes)

Randy Costa FADE (Neither of these two are particularly great but Costa probably has a longer future in the UFC than Cannetti, despite winning his last fight over Moutinho, I think Cannetti would have to put on quite a performance to get another fight in the UFC)

Trevin Giles

SANDHAGEN V SONG

Welcome back everyone to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! Last week’s card was nuts, we had three matchups change last minute, and I think the card turned out better for it. Today’s slate will start at 4:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 13-fights that will end with a fight between two legends of the game that we might not have been able to see if this crazy set of events never happened.! Let’s get right into the action!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Vegas 60 Sandhagen vs Song

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Rodrigo Nascimento vs. Tanner Boser

I am honestly surprised the Boser is coming into this one as the favourite. Even though Nascimento got popped and his last fight was overturned to a No Contest. He is up against one of the worst fighters in the heavyweight division. Tanner Boser only has power, he has zero ground game, zero fight IQ and was a victim to Andrei Arlovski when he was over 40 years old, simply unacceptable. At this point, there are not many fighters in the UFC who I wouldn’t take over Boser, especially not a 29 yr old, Brazilian BJJ Purple Belt with an 8-1 record.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Rodrigo Nascimento SECOND ROUND KO

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Joe Pyfer vs. Alen Amedovski

Pyfer is coming into this one with a lot of hype after his super impressive win on the Contender Series less than two months ago. Pyfer put Ozzie Diaz on the ground with a wicked left hook and proceed to pour on the ground and pound until the referee had to put a stop to it. Amedovski on the other hand has dropped his last three fights in the UFC and will most certainly be looking at his walking papers if he cannot produce a result in tonight’s fight. Pyfer is stronger the Amedovski in every aspect of the game, Amedovski has not proven that he has fluency in striking, defending or any sign of a ground game. He even lost to John Phillips by knockout, better known as one of Khamzat Chimaev’s victims, whose only win in the UFC came against Amedovski. Honestly, the only question I have in my mind about this fight tonight is if it ends in the first round or the second round, Amedovski does not stand a chance.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Joe Pyfer FIRST ROUND KO.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Daniel Zellhuber vs. Trey Ogden

Golden Boy Daniel Zellhuber is making his UFC debut after an impressive performance in his Contender Series fight last year against Lucas Almeida. Despite not getting a finish in that fight, nine of his 12 wins have come by finish while Ogden is coming off a split decision loss earlier this year against Jordan Leavitt. Zellhuber has very fast hands and incredible accuracy, two things that give him a clear advantage over Ogden in this matchup. Despite the fact that Zellhuber is very well versed in grappling, Ogden has some skill there too, so it is much more advantageous for Zellhuber to keep things on the feet. Ultimately, I think this will be a quick night at the office for Zellhuber, and I think he will win this one in impressive fashion.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Daniel Zellhuber FIRST-ROUND KO

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Cory Sandhagen (5 ROUNDER)

Chidi Njokuani (Rodrigues is a good option in this matchup as well, as an underdog, but Njokuani has better timing and more knockout power)

Bill Algeo GPP

Marc-Andre Barriault DEEP GPP (Hernandez should theoretically win this one but I think Barriault can keep the pressure on him, has a better tank and can ultimately ride out a decision)

Pat Sabatini

Denise Gomes DEEP GPP (I think Gomes is a good value play on tonight’s slate considering that Lookboonmee has only won against cans and has had a padded record inside and outside of the UFC and still doesn’t have a better record than Gomes. Gomes also fought last month and Loma hasn’t fought in nearly a year when she lost to Loopy Godinez when Loopy came in on extremely short notice)

Gillian Robertson

Javid Bashrat

Nicolas Motta

Trevin Giles

UFC 279

DIAZ V FERGUSON

Welcome back everyone to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! Last week the UFC had their first card ever in France and this week things have flown completely off the handle. Initially, the pre-card press conference was cancelled due to a backstage brawl and then a massive weight miss from Chimaev caused the whole main card to change! Looks like everything is ready to go for tonight’s card thankfully, so lets hope it goes off without a hitch Today’s slate will start at 6:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 13-fights that will end with a fight between two legends of the game that we might not have been able to see if this crazy set of events never happened.! Let’s get right into the action!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC 279 Diaz v Ferguson

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Irene Aldana vs. Macy Chiasson

This is an interesting matchup for Chiasson as she has passed through the ranks of the UFC’s core roster as is now facing off against the elite of Women’s MMA. Both women in this matchup are ranked 5th in their respective divisions with this fight taking place at a catch weight between their two divisions. This makes Chiasson the longer and taller fighter. Chiasson has decent power and a solid grappling game but will have to be smart and counter Aldana’s left hook. I think Chiasson can use her physical advantage to set the tone of the fight and can continually lay pressure on Aldana as the fight goes on. It is also very important to note that Aldana absorbs a lot of damage and that can give Chiasson the edge she needs to take control in tonight’s matchup. This is a close one but I really like Chiasson in the underdog spot here.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Macy Chiasson UNANIMOUS DECISION

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Kevin Holland

Not going to spend too much time on this one. At this point Chimaev is a known quantity and even with the weight miss there is no doubt in my mind that he will get this done in impressive fashion. It might take a little longer since Holland has some fight but Holland’s poor fight IQ is enough to know that Chimaev should be very dominant in this matchup

MY UFC DFS PICK: Khamzat Chimaev FIRST-ROUND SUBMISSION (possible SECOND-ROUND DECISION).

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

Jailton Almeida vs. Anton Turkalji

Turkalji is coming in on short notice after fighting on the Contender Series just over a month ago. Now he’s up against the strongest opponent of his career by a long shot. Jailton is a strong striker with some very strong grappling credentials under his belt. Unfortunately for Turkalji, I doubt he’ll last long enough to witness Jailton’s BJJ skills. There is a mismatch in ability here, I’m taking Almeida all the way.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Jailton Almeida FIRST-ROUND KO

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Tony Ferguson (5 ROUNDER)

Daniel Rodriguez

Ion Cutelaba

Hakeem Dawodu

Jamie Pickett

Jake Collier (This pick was hard to make because I really hate Collier, Barnett has a puncher’s chance, I wouldn’t hate him as a risky high-value underdog play on this card and this card alone)

Norma Dumont

Chad Anheliger

Melissa Martinez

Yohan Lainesse GPP

SUMMARY:

UFC Fight Night 209

GANE V TUIVASA

Welcome back everyone to Win Daily’s Fight Night Deep Dive! We had a week long hiatus after an amazing numbered card two weeks ago where we saw the P4P champ dethroned by everyone’s favourite dark horse Leon Edwards! The UFC is bringing us all the way to Paris, France for today’s Fight Night card featuring top French talents such as William Gomis and former Interim Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane. Today’s slate will start at 12:00 PM ET. Read more below to find out my takes on tonight’s matchups! Tonight there will be 12-fights that will end with a fight highly anticipated heavyweight fight that will have a lot of implications for the top of the rankings! Let’s get right into the action!

SLATE STARTS AT 12:00 PM ET

Exposure to the main event is recommended. DFS production in these fights is usually high as they are five-round fights. I may be branching away from the Main Event for some of my lines due to the possibility of low activity among these fighters. There will be three top plays followed by honorable mentions. Now let’s get ready to make some money!

Tonight I’m here to give you my top three favorite DFS and Sports betting picks for UFC Fight Night 209 Gane v Tuivasa.

MY UFC VALUE TARGET (CASH&GPP):

Cristian Quiñonez (+100) (DK 7900) (FD $15) vs. Khalid Taha (-125) (DK 8300) (FD $17).

We’re starting off today’s article with another debuting fighter from the famous Entram Gym in Mexico. Having booked his UFC ticket nearly one year ago in the Dana White Contender Series, he is finally set to make his octagon debut on short-notice against a fighter who has had a rocky start to his UFC career going 1-3-0 (1 NC) over his five UFC appearances. Despite Quiñonez having some time between his last UFC fight, it has been even longer for Taha who hasn’t fought since July of 2021. The major sore spot for Taha in this fight is his output, he absorbs way more damage than he lands on his opponents, despite the fact that he can strike fairly hard, the accumulation of damage from Quiñonez will prove to be the difference maker. By contrast Quiñonez had a 5.07 SLpM rate in his last fight along with a 100% takedown rate and a 60% strike defense rate. There are simply too many holes in Taha’s striking for me to lean towards him in this matchup.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Cristian Quiñonez (+100) (DK 7900) (FD $15). UNANIMOUS DECISION

MY UFC LOCKED-IN TARGET (CASH):

Benoit Saint-Denis (-275) (DK 9100) (FD $21) vs. Gabriel Miranda (+225) (DK 7100) (FD $8).

This fight is much more about how Saint-Denis rather than will he win. Saint-Denis has a much more developed striking game than Gabriel Miranda and his grappling (where Saint-Denis MMA skills have been best) is also clearly above Miranda’s level. I have been concerned with Miranda’s record as well, some of his opponents are complete cans and I think there are definitely some questions to answer as to how some of his fights got put together. So even if he has looked good against those fighters that does not mean that he is UFC calibre. Nevertheless, in the UFC he will be facing absolute killers such as his opponent in this matchup. All of Saint-Denis wins have come by finish and I do not expect anything different in Paris tonight. Saint-Denis looks much stronger than Miranda and on paper should run away with this matchup, I will be leaning heavily on the hometown favourite and former French Special Forces Paratrooper in this matchup.

MY UFC DFS PICK: Benoit Saint-Denis (-275) (DK 9100) (FD $21) SECOND ROUND SUBMISSION.

MY UFC TOP SCORING TARGET (GPP):

William Gomis (-220) (DK 8600) (FD $18) vs. Jarno Errens (+180) (DK 7600) (FD $13)

In this matchup we have two debuting UFC fighters in William Gomis and Jarno Errens. Despite that, this fight is a bit of a mismatch. Gomis currently holds a 10-2 record and was set to face off against former long-time UFC champion Renan Barao earlier this year. Both fighters have fought very recently with Gomis fighting three months ago and Errens fighting just under one month ago. To start, Gomis is very skilled at setting the pace early with his kicks allowing him to take a dominant position early on by damaging the mobility of his opponents. Gomis is much more focus on landing good shots and accumulating damage rather than hunting the knockout blow and I think this gives him a strong advantage over Errens and Gomis’ fight IQ can definitely run Errens into some problem spots. Gomis also has skill on the ground and will be able to compete with Errens no matter where the fight goes.

MY UFC DFS PICK: William Gomis (-220) (DK 8600) (FD $18) SECOND-ROUND KO (possible UNANIMOUS DECISION).

UFC HONORABLE MENTIONS:

(Not in order)

Ciryl Gane -550 (DK 9500) (FD $23) (5 ROUNDER) (The longer fight benefits Gane way more than Tuivasa)

Robert Whittaker -220 (DK 8800) (FD $19) (Vettori is outmatched on the feet here an his grappling is not strong enough to compete with Bobby Knuckles)

Roman Kopylov -110 (DEEP GPP) (DK 8000) (FD $16)

John Makdessi +187 (DK 7500) (FD $12)

Charles Jourdain -150 (DK 8400) (FD $17)

Abusupiyan Magomedov -275 (DK 8900) (FD $20)

Nassouradine Imavov -250 (DK 9000) (FD $20) (I think some people may still be on the Buckley hype train but that ship has long sailed away and Imavov is a top 10 ranked middleweight fighting in front of the hometown crowd)

Ailin Perez +200 (DK 6900) (FD $8)

Michal Figlak -200 (DK 8500) (FD $18)

SUMMARY:

On Saturday’s fourteen-bout MMA UFC DFS slate, I will be building 3 UFC Parlays. I’m focusing on building a GPP winning lineup.

GOOD LUCK and don’t forget to come back and Win Daily!
