Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Friday 2/26. A 1-1 night with our underdog Winnipeg Jets climbing out of a 3-1 hole to score 5 unanswered in a 6-3 win against the Montreal Canadiens. A FIFTH straight profitable night for The Model, let’s see if we can get to 6 in a row.

  • Rangers Puck Line (+1.5, -186) over the Bruins
  • Bruins Money Line (-165) over the Rangers
  • Kings/Wild Over 5.5 Goals (-103)

Keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies before placing your bets. A weak slate with pretty solid pricing from the books makes me not want to touch any money lines tonight, therefore my pick will be on an over/under.

My Pick:

Kings/Wild Over 5.5 Goals (-103): The Kings have been one of the luckiest teams in the past couple of weeks and sport a 5-game winning streak. They currently have the 3rd highest High Danger Save Percentage, a number that is not sustainable for a team like the Kings. They are 30th in Expected Goals For% and High Danger Chances For. The Wild are coming off a 6 goal effort against an elite team in the Avalanche and generate the 2nd most High Danger Chances For. With the total being only 5.5 and getting almost even odds, I think we are getting good value here. The Kings goaltending will regress to the mean as will their offense, but with both teams hitting over 50% of their overs we are taking it tonight.

Let’s go for 6 straight nights of profit!

NHL DFS Betting Picks (Feb. 25)

NHL Betting Picks Thursday 2/25

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 2/25. We had an easy 1-0 night with the Tampa Bay Lightning easily defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0. Once that goaltending matchup was announced I knew we instantly had an edge on the books so I hope you tailed! We have 10 games on the slate today.

Let’s take a look at the profitability and over win percentage of the teams playing tonight:

Dashboard Betting Edges

  • Oilers ML (-132) over the Canucks
  • Blackhawks +1.5 (-250) over the Blue Jackets
  • Capitals/Penguins Over 6.5 (-107)

Let’s keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies today.

There are couple lines I like today but won’t officially play:

The Devils ML (-109) against the Sabres. They lost their last two games to Buffalo but are the better team and have the goaltending edge. They should eventually be able to be at Buffalo but they’ve burned me the last two games so I can’t play them here.

Flames -1.5 (+155) against the Senators. Give the Sens some credit they have won a few games no one expected them to and DJ Smith has them playing some decent hockey. Having said that they are simply not a good hockey team as currently constructed. I thought the Flames played well in their 2 game series against Toronto, with solid goaltending from David Rittich. I like the Flames to handle the Sens by a decent margin tonight.

My Picks:

Blue Jackets ML -122: Columbus is coming off of a tough loss to Chicago on Tuesday in a high scoring affair. They return to play them again tonight. Columbus has a strong goaltending edge as Subban is confirmed for Chicago and Korpisalo for Columbus, which is driving the value in Columbus’s favor. Laine and Roslovic have fit in seamlessly since being traded from Winnipeg and Columbus should take care of business tonight.

Jets ML +110: The Canadiens are coming off a bad loss to the Senators on Tuesday which led to the dismissal of their head coach Claude Julien. Winnipeg won both of their games in their mini 2 game series against Vancouver, with the last one coming on Sunday. Hellebuyck should be in goal for Winnipeg which will give them the goaltending edge.

NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 2/24

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Wednesday 2/24. A decent 1-1 day with our dog the Chicago Blackhawks (+115) winning a wild 6-5 game in a shootout and allowing us to be profitable on the day. Unfortunately the Devils (-127) laid an absolute egg against the Sabres.

Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today:

The biggest edges based on this dashboard for tonight’s matchups are Kings +1.5 (-195) over the Blues, Panthers ML (-137) over the Stars, and the Maple Leafs/Flames Under (6, -120).

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies.

My Pick:

Lightning ML -145: The only pick of the night. The Model really likes the Lightning and gives them around a -180 edge with the confirmed goalie matchup of Vasilevskiy (TB) and Nedeljkovic (CAR). The line will probably move to -155/-160 shortly so I would take it while you can. Tampa looked like the better team when they played on Monday, and with Carolina most likely getting the better goaltending matchup when they meet again tomorrow, I’d take Tampa tonight.

The biggest edges leveraging the dashboard are the Oilers ML (-130) against the Canucks, Canadians -1.5 (+116) against the Senators, and Devils ML (-127) against the Sabres.

Keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies here.

My Picks:

Devils ML -127: The Devils are finally fully healthy and taking on a Sabres team that actually defeated them 3-2 on Saturday, their only win in the last 6 games. Blackwood is starting for the Devils which gives them the goaltending edge and I think they get some revenge tonight. Let’s just hope most of this game is played at Even Strength as the Devils sport the worst Penalty Kill and a bottom 10 Power Play in the league.

Blackhawks ML +115: The Blackhawks have been a surprise this season led by Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat while getting stellar goaltending from rookie Kevin Lankinen, who is confirmed as the starter. This line should be closer to even as the Blue Jackets have underperformed this year. The Blackhawks have an edge in goaltending and special teams which is why we are taking the underdog here.

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 2/22. An easy 1-0 night after the Bruins took care of business against the Flyers in Lake Tahoe by a score of 7-3 including a David Pastrnak hat trick. You knew he was going to have a great game when you saw this picture:

We have 8 games on the slate tonight, lets take a look at the profitability and over win percentage on the season for the teams playing tonight.

The biggest edges based on the dashboard are the Puck Line for the Islanders (-1.5, +155) against the Sabres, the Money Line for the Maple Leafs (-182) against the Flames, the Money Line for the Panthers (-117) against the Stars, and the Over in the Kings/Blues game (5.5, -109).

Keep an eye out for the Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks:

Lightning ML -122: Tampa is coming off a 4-0 loss to the Hurricanes. Not going to overthink this one too much, they are the better team and should bounce back tonight against Carolina.

Kings/Blues Over 5.5 -109: Leveraging the dashboard above, I really like this play especially if Jonathan Quick is in goal for the Kings. The Kings give up a lot of High Danger Chances per Game and Quick has been below average in goal. Both teams average around 6 total goals per game and both teams hit their over > 60% of the time.

Flames ML +155: The Leafs have 3 injuries (Hyman, Muzzin, and Thornton) and the line is probably going to move soon. If you can get value on the Flames around +150 you should take it. Muzzin and Hyman are important pieces to this Leafs offense and should be priced around +125/+130 with these injuries so this is a pure value play.

NHL Betting Picks Sunday 2/21

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Sunday 2/21. There are 4 games scheduled for today, including the second Lake Tahoe game between the Bruins and the Flyers. A couple ice issues yesterday had the 3:00 game play the first period, then postpone the remainder of the game to Midnight ET. That caused the NHL to switch the start time to today’s game to 7:30, hopefully there won’t be any ice issues here.

Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for teams playing today.

The biggest discrepancies in the matchups today based on the plot are the Flyers Puck Line (+1.5, -177), Jets ML (-108), and Canadiens ML (-215).

This doesn’t account for the Flyers having 6 players out for COVID-related issues. The Canadiens also scare me as they are 1-1-0 against the Senators with their only win being by 1 goal, and they’re coming off a loss last night to the Maple Leafs. The Jets might have a little value especially with Hellebuyck confirmed as the starter today.

Keep an eye out for the rest of the Starting Goalies today.

My Pick:

Bruins in Regulation -110: The Bruins are by far the better team, considering the Flyers have 6 starters in COVID protocol. Trying to squeeze some value here as the ML at -180 has no value. The Bruins should handle their business in the outdoor game and get 2 points in regulation from Philly.

Cash with Flash Sunday NBA Picks!

Welcome to the Sunday edition of Cash with Flash Best Bets! We have NBA hoops on tap for tonight so let’s get after it!

Glad to see you and I hope that your sports betting endeavors are going well. It’s been difficult handicapping professional sporting contests during the pandemic but if you’ve been tailing me, listening to my show, or read my books then you have been making money.

Cash with Flash Best Bets has 2020-2021 season-long totals of 66-53-1 for NFL football, 48-21 in NCAAF, 45-34 for NCAAB, 16-9 in NHL, 68-39-1 in the NBA, and 109-50 for tennis this season. 

Had you wagered $100 dollars on each pick we offered you’d be ahead of the game by about $11,900 since September 8, 2020. That’s not too shabby making money off of someone else prowess.

Saturday was another average day as we went 2-2 with our predictions. That leaves us with an 18-14 record through nine days of this column. Stay in this space and I not only will make you money but do it in a responsible way that won’t lead you to the poor house.

Last week we won three units and that is our goal each week. We need to win roughly 2.6 units today and I think we can do it. 

You are doing it all wrong if you aren’t practicing some sort of money management system I discuss a couple of them in my books and I will be sharing little tidbits here in this column at Win Daily.

Managing your cash is numero uno. Hiring someone to pick winners is an easy thing to do but if you don’t have the discipline to manage your money correctly then wagering on sporting events for long-term success won’t likely be successful. 

We have eight games on the NBA slate for Sunday and plenty of opportunity to Cash with Flash!

Minnesota Timberwolves vs New York Knicks

The Knicks are a 2.5 point home favorite when they host a struggling Timberwolves squad hoping to end a three-game losing streak. New York saw a three-game winning streak snapped on the road Wednesday night against Orlando and hasn’t played since. The Knicks defense allows the fewest points per game in the NBA this season and should be able to score enough to easily cover the spread tonight. Lay the points and take the Knicks to cover at home.

Brooklyn Nets vs Los Angeles Clippers

Brooklyn is a five-point road underdog when they face Los Angeles in the Staples Center. The Nets are riding a five-game winning streak but will be without Kevin Durant tonight. Los Angeles has won four of their last five games and will be without Paul George tonight. The Nets are 5-0 ATS over their last five games and without George, the Clippers will have a tough time dealing with Brooklyn. Take the points and go with Brooklyn and also play OVER 236 points for tonight!

Sacramento Kings vs Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee is a 10.5 point home favorite Sunday against a Sacramento side mired in a six-game losing streak. The Bucks just snapped a five-game losing streak of their own when they defeated OKC by thirteen points at home on Friday night so I will probably leave the side bet alone. Sacramento has allowed at least 118 points or more in each of their last five contests and we know what Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks can do on the offensive end and both sides are top fifteen in the league in pace of play. There will certainly be enough possessions to reach the 235.5 point total. Play the OVER in this one tonight!
