With only seven games on this small Monday slate, we’re going to take a different approach with this article. It would be easy to sit here and write about all of the players in the Dodgers-Rockies game in Coors Field but that’s too easy. I’m going to focus on all value plays and try to help you fill out a lineup with those Coors Field bats. It’s going to be imperative to stack that game in a seven-game slate, so hopefully, some of these cheap guys will make that build much easier. Let’s get into our 7/29 DFS hitter picks!

7/29 DFS Hitter Options

Catcher

Carson Kelly, ARI at MIA

DK ($3,700)   FD ($2,700)

I really don’t like to use anyone against Caleb Smith but we need to get creative on a seven-game slate. What makes Kelly such an attractive option here is that he absolutely destroys left-handed pitching. In fact, Kelly has a .475 OBP, .808 SLG and 1.283 OPS against southpaws so far this season. Kelly has also been a much better away from home, as his 1.021 road OPS is more than 300 points higher than his home OPS.

First Base

Justin Smoak, TOR at KC

DK ($3,900)   FD ($3,200)

Smoak has been one of the unluckiest hitters in the league this season but the luck is finally turning around. Over his last 11 games, Smoak has four homers, seven RBI and 10 walks en route to a .435 OBP and 1.040 OPS. That’s the guy that we’ve been expecting all season, as his .385 xwOBA and .511 xSLG is way off his .339 wOBA and .423 SLG. That means positive regression is right around the corner and this recent hot stretch is hopefully the start of it. Getting to face Brad Keller should only help, with the Kansas City righty pitching to a 4.87 xFIP. It also puts Smoak on the left side and he has a .365 OBP and .857 OPS against righties despite the poor luck.

Second Base

Brian Dozier, WSH vs. ATL

DK ($3,400)   FD ($2,400)

Dozier really deserves more credit and these sites need to raise his price. Over his last 43 games. Dozier has a .380 OBP and .890 OPS. That’s the former All-Star that we loved and this price doesn’t quite match up with that production. Getting to face a lefty is what really makes him hard to fade, with Dozier generating a .418 OBP, .625 SLG and 1.043 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this season. Not to mention, Dozier went 2-for-3 on Sunday, with a double, homer and two runs scored.

Third Base

Manny Machado, SD vs. BAL

DK ($4,600)   FD ($4,000)

Machado should have a higher price and he’s easily one of the best 7/29 DFS hitter options on the board. This perennial All-Star is one of the hottest hitters in the game right now and he should be $500 more on each site. In fact, Machado is hitting .329 over his last 35 games while providing a .685 SLG and 1.058 OPS in that span. That’s obviously stupendous production and he should continue that success against a pitching staff that has a 5.53 team ERA. It’s unclear exactly who he’ll face but just the fact that this horrible pitching staff has to call someone up is a very promising sign. I also believe that Franmil Reyes and Hunter Renfroe are too cheap on both sites and these three make for a beautiful stack against this putrid pitching staff.

Shortstop

Jonathan Villar, BAL at SD

DK ($4,000)   FD ($3,100)

Villar is a personal favorite of mine and I really don’t like how these sites continue to disrespect him with these price tags. Any leadoff hitter with 20-30 potential should be much higher, especially when they’re hot. Not only does Villar have multi-hit games in four-straight, he’s also collected nine runs, two homers and five steals in that span. That equates to nearly 35 FanDuel points per game, which is downright absurd. Getting to hit on the left side is a huge bonus too, with Villar accruing a .350 OBP against right-handers this season while swiping 18 of his 22 stolen bases against them. Dinelson Lamet is talented but his 5.00 ERA and 1.39 WHIP make him a pitcher we can exploit.

Outfield

Shohei Ohtani, LAA vs. DET

DK ($5,200)   FD ($4,200)

Ohtani has done nothing but rake against right-handers since being signed from Japan and he’s my favorite 7/29 DFS hitter. In fact, Ohtani has a .307 AVG, .373 OBP, .613 SLG and .987 OPS against righties since being signed. He also has 15 of his 18 career steals against them and it’s crystal clear just how much more comfortable he is from the left side. This happens to be a pitcher we definitely want to stack against too, with Jordan Zimmermann pitching to a 7.57 ERA and 1.71 WHIP en route to a disastrous 0-8 record.

Corey Dickerson, PIT at CIN

DK ($4,200)   FD ($2,800)

Dickerson is in the same boat as Ohtani and he too loves to mash righties. So far this season, Dickerson has a .376 OBP, .538 SLG and .915 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor. That’s pretty close to the guy that we’ve seen throughout his career, with Dickerson attaining a .239 ISO, .361 wOBA and .861 OPS against right-handers for his career. That’s all you can ask for from a guy priced so cheaply who gets to hit in in a small park like Great American Ballpark should only help.  If Dickerson misses this game because of a nagging groin, pivot to Jesse Winker atop the Reds lineup in the same price range.

Josh VanMeter, CIN vs. PIT

DK ($3,700)   FD ($2,700)

VanMeter has been incredible the last few games and it’s time for these DFS sites to take notice. Four homers in his last eight games tells you everything you need to know, with VanMeter providing a .520 AVG, 1.120 SLG and 1.650 OPS over his last nine games. Those are Barry Bonds-like numbers, as he’s carried over his ridiculous numbers from the minors. At Triple-A this season, VanMeter hit .348 while generating a .669 SLG and 1.098 OPS. Getting the platoon advantage against Jordan Lyles is simply the icing on the cake, with the Pirates righty pitching to a 9.57 ERA and 1.99 WHIP over his last nine starts.

Welcome back everyone! I know we have a few “new” guys on the Win Daily staff, as well as a few subscribers. I just wanted to welcome all of you. This report will provide recommended DFS stacks for today’s 13-game main slate.

**Please check back this afternoon between 5-6pm EST. Possible updates to lines once starting lineups are released.

New York Yankees

vs. RHP Aaron Sanchez (TOR): 7.10 Runs

The Yankees lost two games in a row going into the All-Star break and had only lost two in their previous 18. They are clearly the best team in baseball right now, boasting a 6.5 game lead on the Rays and 9.0 on the Red Sox. We all know how tricky the AL East can be after the break. These teams can close the gap rather quickly given their talents. Look for the Yankees to keep their foot on the gas and truck their way into the post season. Aaron Sanchez carries a 6.16 ERA, 5.56 FIP, and 5.57 SIERA into tonight’s game. His splits are identical, holding .a 361 wOBA, .391 OBP, and .451 OBP on the year. Coming out of the break, The Yankees are slashing to a .364 wOBA, .247 ISO, and 126 WRC+. They are hitting well above their season averages.

Preferred DFS Stacks Build: Aaron Hicks ($3700 FD|$4400 DK), Aaron Judge ($4400 FD|$4800 DK), D.J. LeMahieu ($4200 FD|$5300 DK), Gleyber Torres ($3400 FD|$4800 DK), and Brett Gardner ($2800 FD|$4700 DK).

Los Angeles Angels

vs. RHP Mike Leake (SEA): 5.60 Runs

Mike Leake hasn’t been awful this season, carrying a 4.32 ERA, 4.89 FIP, and 4.55 SIERA into tonight’s game. These +4.00 ERA stat lines seem more of the norm this season with the elevated scoring. Leake has identical splits, holding a .330 wOBA, .303 OBP, and .493 SLG through 114. innings pitched. He has the displeasure of facing an Angels team who hold the lowest strikeout rate in MLB. They average 6.87 strikeouts per game on the year. The Angels are slashing .to a 321 wOBA, .191 ISO, and .458 SLG to right handed pitching over a two week span coming out of the break.

Preferred DFS Stacks Build: Mike Trout ($4700 FD|$5300 DK), Shohei Ohtani ($3900 FD|$4800 DK), and Justin Upton ($3500 FD|$3800 DK).

Milwaukee Brewers

vs. RHP Shaun Anderson (SFG): 5.60 Runs

Shaun Anderson heads into tonight’s matchup holding a 4.23 ERA, 4.38 FIP, and 5.28 SIERA through 55 innings pitched. He has identical splits with a .320 wOBA, .331 OBP, and .417 SLG. I’m really hoping for a healthy Christian Yelich here tonight as he has been experiencing some lower back discomfort on and off this season. The Brewers come out of the break slashing to a .297 wOBA, .223 ISO, and .423 SLG to right handed pitching. The Brewers are only a half game back on the Cubs, who actively seem to be trying to hand the Brewers the division, but they have been having issues of their own. An unhealthy Yelich certainly does not give this lineup a ton of appeal. Look for the Brewers to get it together coming off the break.

Preferred DFS Stacks Build: Christian Yelich ($4800 FD|$5200 DK), Eric Thames ($3200 FD|$4800 DK), Yasmani Grandal ($3500 FD|$4900 DK), and Mike Moustakas ($3900 FD|$4700 DK) if you prefer a full stack on FD.

Honorable DFS Stacks Mentions

San Diego Padres vs. LHP Dallas Keuchel (ATL): 4.30 Runs

Preferred Stack: Hunter Renfroe ($3000 FD|$4700 DK), Manny Machado ($3900 FD|$4100 DK), and Manuel Margot ($2600 FD|$3600 DK).

Oakland A’s vs. RHP Ivan Nova (CHW): 5.60 Runs

Preferred Stack: Matt Chapman ($3900 FD|$4800 DK), Matt Olson ($3800 FD|$5100 DK), Mark Canha ($2800 FD|$4300 DK), and Ramon Laureano ($3100 FD|$4500 DK).

St. Louis Cardinals vs. LHP Robbie Ray (ARZ): 4.50 Runs

Preferred Stack: Paul Goldschmidt ($3200 FD|$3800 DK), Jose Martinez ($2800 FD|$3500 DK), and Dexter Fowler ($2900 FD|$3700 DK).

We have a fascinating DFS slate ahead of us. What makes it so interesting is that we have games in Coors Field, Globe Life Park, Great American Ballpark and SunTrust Park. Those are easily five of the best hitting parks in the Majors and it should make for a ton of runs.

Catcher

James McCann, DET at CWS

DK ($4,900)   FD ($3,500)

McCann has quietly been one of the best catchers in the game and he’s tough to fade in this fantastic matchup. Facing Ross Detweiler is huge for anyone but especially right-handed batters. Not only does he have a 5.17 ERA and 1.61 WHIP dating back to 2015, Detweiler has also allowed right-handed bats to hit .300 against him while approaching an OPS of .900. That’s a scary thought against a guy like McCann, who’s posting a .406 OBP and .978 OPS against southpaws so far this season. That’s why the Tigers are one of the sneakiest DFS stacks of the day at their dirt-cheap price tags.

First Base

Joey Votto, CIN vs. MIL

DK ($4,200)   FD ($3,300)

Many people assumed that Votto was done about a month ago but he’s been a different player since then. In fact, Votto is hitting .357 over his last 30 games while generating a .965 OPS in that span. That’s the perennial All-Star that we’ve become accustomed to and it’s clear he made some major adjustments to his swing. What we love here is that he gets to face a righty, with Votto providing an OBP and wOBA north of .400 against righties and an ISO above ,200 for his career. It’s a right-hander we definitely want to exploit in DFS too, with Jhoulys Chacin pitching to a 5.60 ERA and 1.52 WHIP so far this season.

Second Base

Jose Altuve, HOU at COL

DK ($4,600)   FD ($4,100)

While it’s difficult to trust Altuve on FanDuel at this price, the DraftKings price makes him impossible to fade. We’re talking about one of the best pure hitters of our generation hitting in the best BABIP park in baseball. Coors Field caters to a hitter like Altuve, as he should finish this series with a couple of multi-hit games. What really adds to his intrigue here is that he gets to face Peter Lambert, who’s pitching to a 6.57 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. That’s really not far off of his ugly minor league numbers and why the Astros are projected for more than six runs. This $4,600 price tag on DK is really difficult to understand in DFS.

Third Base

Josh Donaldson, ATL vs. PHI

DK ($4,100)   FD ($3,000)

Donaldson has re-discovered his power stroke over recent weeks and it’s hard to understand why these sites continue to price him so low. Over his last 19 games, Donaldson has seven homers and 14 RBI en route to a 1.010 OPS. That’s the MVP third baseman who used to do so much damage in Toronto and it’s clear he’s capturing some of that prior form. It’s the matchup that really makes him an enticing option here though in DFS, with Philly throwing out Nick Pivetta, who’s posting a 5.63 ERA and 1.52 WHIP this season.

Shortstop

Jorge Polanco, MIN at OAK

DK ($4,400)   FD ($3,800)

We have to get at least one Twins player into our DFS article, as they could be the highest-scoring team on this slate. The reason is because they’re facing Tanner Anderson, who’s pitching to a 7.13 ERA and 1.47 WHIP.  The simple fact is, this is a guy that was forced into the A’s rotation because of the Frankie Montas suspension and he’s simply not ready to face Major League hitters. That’s evident by his 6.26 ERA and 1.70 WHIP at Triple-A this season. Those statistics squarely put Polanco in play, as he is generating a .582 SLG and .978 OPS against right-handed pitching in the heart of this potent Twins lineup.

Outfield

Shohei Ohtani, LAA at TEX

DK ($5,300)   FD ($3,900)

Ohtani has been one of the best hitters in the league since coming over from Japan and we have to love him in this situation. Not only does he get to work in a hitter’s haven like Globe Life Park, Ohtani also gets the DFS platoon advantage in his favor. Since joining the Angels last season, Ohtani is generating a .629 SLG and 1.002 OPS against right-handed pitching. That’s huge against a regression candidate like Ariel Jurado, whose xFIP is nearly a run higher than his ERA.

Eloy Jimenez, CWS vs. DET

DK ($4,300)   FD ($3,100)

If you read an article of mine a month ago when I told you to buy-low on Eloy in season-long formats, you’re surely happy. After getting off to a dreadful start, Jimenez now has eight homers, 17 runs scored and 19 RBI over his last 19 games. That’s the stud prospect we’ve been waiting for all season long and it’s clear that he’s finally finding his groove at this level. What really makes him attractive here is that he gets to face a lefty, with Jimenez posting a 1.215 OPS against southpaws at Triple-A last season. That hasn’t quite shown yet at this level but it very well could against a guy like Daniel Norris. The Tigers lefty is providing a 4.62 ERA and 1.38 WHIP this season, which is pretty much the guy we’ve seen throughout his disappointing career.

Jordan Luplow, CLE at KC

DK ($4,300)   FD ($2,900)

If you don’t know already, Luplow is simply one of the best lefty mashers in the Majors. In fact, the Indians outfielder is posting a .714 SLG and 1.132 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this season. Those are obviously bonkers numbers and it really makes him attractive against a guy like Danny Duffy. The Kansas City lefty is providing a 4.74 ERA and 1.44 WHIP dating back to last season. His FanDuel price is really hard to understand, as he’ll be good DFS chalk.

My DFS write-ups and Monkey Knife Fight picks have been doing some serious damage recently and we’re going to look to build off that momentum here. After going 2-0 on my MKF picks on Monday, I am now 13-6 over my last 19 picks. Check out Scott Engel for MKF Picks today.

Catcher

J.T. Realmuto, PHI vs. NYM

DK ($4,000)   FD ($2,900)

The simple fact is, this is one of the three best hitting catchers in the game and he’s being priced outside the Top 10 at his position in DFS. This is a guy who’s finished either first or second at the catcher position for three straight years in traditional DFS scoring and it’s just a matter of time before he returns to that form. Facing Jason Vargas is a good way to start his inevitable run, with the Mets lefty pitching to a 5.30 xFIP this season. Realmuto is having a huge year with the platoon advantage in his favor too, posting an .864 OPS against left-handers.

First Base

Matt Olson, OAK at STL

DK ($4,100)   FD ($3,200)

I always like to use Olson in DFS when he faces a weak righty and that alone makes this price hard to understand. We’re talking about a guy with a career .867 OPS and .528 SLG against right-handed pitching, as his .252 career ISO is quite the mark too. That’s absurd power potential from a player priced so cheaply and we love him against Adam Wainwright. Not only does Wainwright have a 4.72 ERA and 1.43 WHIP dating back to 2016, he’s also allowing left-handed hitters to post a .325 AVG, .582 SLG and .404 xwOBA against him this season.

Second Base

Max Muncy, LAD at ARI

DK ($5,000)   FD ($3,800)

Muncy has been one of the best hitters in the Majors since last season and he’s always in play against a weak righty. Since joining the Dodgers, Muncy is posting a .393 OBP and .957 OPS against right-handed pitching. A career ISO approaching .300 shows just how potent of a bat this dude has too. Facing Taylor Clarke is simply the DFS icing on the cake, with the Arizona righty pitching to a 6.48 ERA and 1.56 WHIP this season. If you’re playing on DraftKings, you can’t overlook Jose Altuve at $4,100 either.

Third Base

Renato Nunez, BAL vs. SD

DK ($3,900)   FD ($2,600)

Nunez has had a stellar year for the Orioles and it’s hard to understand why these DFS sites continue to disrespect him with these price tags. The slugging third baseman has absolutely obliterated left-handed pitching this season, to the tune of a .560 SLG and .884 OPS. That’s all you can ask for from someone priced so cheaply in DFS and he usually finds himself in the cleanup spot against a lefty. Matt Strahm’s 4.85 ERA and 1.27 WHIP make him a guy we don’t need to avoid either.

Shortstop

Jean Segura, PHI vs. NYM

DK ($4,100)   FD ($3,600)

Segura was in my DFS article on Monday and he treated us with one of his best games of the season. That extended a rather impressive streak from Segura, entering this game in the midst of a six-game hitting streak. In that six-game span, Segura is hitting .346 while providing a 1.000 OPS. That hot stretch makes him particularly intriguing against the aforementioned Jason Vargas, with Segura posting a 1.050 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this season.

Outfield

Shohei Ohtani, LAA vs. CIN

DK ($4,500)   FD ($3,500)

It’s strange to see Ohtani outfield eligible on both sites but it’s quite the treat for us DFS players. The Japanese import has simply been one of the best players in baseball since joining the Majors last season. That’s evident by the fact that he currently ranks Top 20 in OPS and xwOBA in that span. What makes him really enticing today is that he gets the platoon advantage in his favor. In his career, Ohtani has a .604 SLG and .969 OPS against right-handed pitching. Tanner Roark is a guy we definitely want to exploit too, pitching to a 4.32 FIP and 1.32 WHIP so far this season.  If you’re playing on DraftKings, go ahead and stack a $4,000 Justin Upton with Ohtani.

Joc Pederson, LAD at ARI

DK ($4,700)   FD ($3,100)

When the Dodgers face a righty, Pederson automatically becomes one of the best DFS plays on the board. Not only does Pederson always lead off against right-handed pitching, he also does some serious damage out of that spot. That’s evident by his .598 SLG and .943 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor. All 20 of his homers have actually come against righties and it’s hard to fade him against a guy like Clarke.

Franmil Reyes, SD at BAL

DK ($3,900)   FD ($2,800)

This is yet another disrespectful DFS price tag, as Reyes is simply one of the best power hitters in the league. Not only does he rank Top 10 in exit velocity, his .371 xwOBA and .288 ISO speaks loudly too. That’s why he has 36 homers in just 494 career at-bats, which too is one of the best rates in baseball. While I expect Dylan Bundy to rack up the Ks in this game, his propensity to allow homers makes him a great target for someone like Reyes. Since 2017, Bundy has allowed 84 dingers, which happens to be the most in the Majors in that span.

All 30 teams were in action on Sunday June 2nd. We will discuss players who lived up to the hype on the slate and others who did not. The prices and point values are all based off DraftKings.

Winners

Eric Thames ($3,900)

Thames had a solid game against the Pittsburgh Pirates going 2-for-3 with a double, home run, three RBI, a couple of runs scored and a walk. He has been on a tear recently, batting .333 in his past seven games and had very good at-bats against the Pirates the entire series. Look for Thames to keep his bat hot on Tuesday’s slate.

Thames’ Outlook

Thames is now up to seven home runs and 24 RBI on the season and is proving to be a solid bat in the middle of the order. The Milwaukee Brewers host the Miami Marlins on Tuesday and the Marlins pitching staff is middle-of-the-pact so do not expect them to stop Thames’ production.

Adrian Sampson ($6,900)

Sampson had a solid outing yesterday against the Kansas City Royals in Globe Life Park, where the ball has a tendency to fly off the bat. He threw seven innings and he gave up one run on eight hits. Sampson also had a career-high 11 punchouts in the game. Granted, the Royals do not possess too much of a threat to opposing pitchers, but Sampson stepped up big-time for the Rangers.

Sampson’s Outlook

Sampson only made one mistake against the Royals, a sixth inning solo blast to Jorge Soler. Otherwise, Sampson controlled the game from the first pitch. This was his best performance in his young career, but his ERA is still high at 4.14. His next start should be against the division-rival Oakland A’s. This was a great outing but is not something people should jump on until he proves he could do it for multiple outings.

Jorge Alfaro ($4,000)

Alfaro had a solid game against the San Diego Padres, going 2-for-4 with a double, home run, four RBI and crossed the plate once himself. The four RBI were a season-high for Alfaro. He has been the hottest hitting catcher in the National League in the past week, batting .444 with a .464 OBP during that stretch. With a minimal price tag with solid production, look for him on Tuesday’s slate.

Alfaro’s Outlook

Alfaro has been the best hitter for the Marlins throughout the 2019 campaign. He is making contact at a good rate and has over an .800 OPS on the season. He is still getting disrespected on his price point. The scheduled starter for the Brewers, Chase Anderson, has a 1.35 WHIP and Alfaro should take advantage of that.

Losers

Shohei Ohtani ($4,200)

Japan’s Babe Ruth did not have the power of the Bambino yesterday, going hitless in five at bats against Seattle. He did have a RBI, but also left five runners on base against a team that struggled finding outs. All in all, avoid Ohtani while he is struggling for a prolonged stretch of times.

Ohtani’s Outlook

Ohtani has struggled for the previous two weeks, going 11-for-61 (.180) during that time. He also has seen strike three 19 times in those 61 at-bats. He hasn’t looked like the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year and instead is a torn-UCL hitter that isn’t getting the job done. His next game should be Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics but avoid Ohtani at all costs.

Mookie Betts ($5,000)

The reigning American League MVP had a hitless game in five at-bats against CC Sabathia and the New York Yankees. He struck out to open the game and also left a runner on base. Mookie should be a lock on Tuesday’s slate with a bounce-back game against Kansas City.

Betts’ Outlook

Mookie has hit a bit of a wall recently, batting .200 in his previous seven games but still put together a solid month of May. There are many games where Betts is going to be stunted at the plate for nine innings and he should get it going against the Royals, who have the fourth-worst batting average against in MLB.

Injury Report

The San Diego Padres announced that Fernando Tatis Jr. will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Armarillo on Monday.

Mike Moustakas did not have any new fractures pop up on an X-ray after getting hit with a 101 mph fastball on his right hand.

The Yankees trio of Aaron Judge, Dellin Betances and Greg Bird are expected to travel to Tampa to begin on their return paths from their various injuries.

Here are thetop teams to stack for MLB’s May 29th action:

EARLY SLATE

Cincinnati Reds

The Pirates’ Steven Brault is a guy we want to attack when he takes the bump for Pittsburgh. The left-handed pitcher has a robust 7.11 ERA. And his other numbers for this season aren’t any better. Brault has a 5.46 SIERA and a 5.85 xFIP. The Pittsburgh starter also is getting hit hard with a 44.9% hard contact rate, making the Reds look like a juicy stacking option for Thursday.

The building blocks for this stack will be Eugenio Suarez (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,900) and Nick Senzel (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $4,900). Both of these right-handed bats have at least a .300 ISO against lefties in 2019. And while he doesn’t have great numbers against southpaws this season, how do you not chase yesterday’s three home run performance by Derek Dietrich (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,900)?

Other Reds to look at it include: Kyle Farmer (FanDuel: $2,100 DraftKings: $3,800) and Yasiel Puig (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,200). Both Cincinnati bats have over .200 ISOs against lefties in 2019.

Seattle Mariners

The Rangers’ Drew Smyly is struggling this season with a 6.15 ERA and is allowing 2.14 HR/9. With seven Mariners owning an ISO of over .200 against southpaws in 2019, the Texas starter’s struggles should continue in this one.

These seven players should be the emphasis of your stack: Jay Bruce (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $4,300), Domingo Santana (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,500), Daniel Vogelbach (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $5,300), Tim Beckham (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,800), Mitch Haniger (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $4,400), Omar Narvaez (FanDuel: $2,900 DraftKings: $4,200) and Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,500).

Los Angeles Angels

Since returning to the big leagues, the Athletics’ Daniel Mengden has been hit really hard by opposing offenses. In fact, he has allowed a 50% hard contact rate. The hard contact has resulted in him having a 6.07 SIERA and a 6.11 xFIP. The Angels’ offense should be able to hit some balls awfully hard against the young Oakland right-hander here and make for a great value play to combine with Cincinnati or Seattle.

Mike Trout (FanDuel:$4,700 DraftKings: $5,500), Kole Calhoun (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $4,100),Albert Pujols (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500), Shohei Ohtani (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,500) and Tommy La Stella (FanDuel: $3,100 DraftKings: $3,900)all have produced at least a 45% hard contact rate against righties in 2019.

MAIN SLATE

Arizona Diamondbacks

Winning DFS lineups for today’s slate will likely be loaded with Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies will be running Jeff Hoffman out to the bump. The right-handed starter has not fared well at Coors Field in his career. Hoffman has allowed a .303/.376/.541 slash line in 86.1 innings pitched in Colorado. Hoffman also has a 5.20 xFIP and 5.7% K-BB% in those contests. Look for the Diamondbacks to take advantage of this matchup in a big way tonight.

The Diamondbacks’ build must start with Eduardo Escobar (FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,700). The third baseman is red hot. He has scored double-digit fantasy points per game for a week now.  His hot streak should continue on Wednesday. Escobar has crushed against righties this season. He owns a .250 ISO and a .351 wOBA against them. You can build around Escobar with a combination of Adam Jones (FanDuel: $4,000 DraftKings: $5,300) and Ketel Marte (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,500) as well. Each of these Diamondbacks’ hitters have .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitching in 2019.

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies have had Robbie Ray’s number throughout his career. In 106 at-bats against the current Colorado roster, the Arizona starter has allowed a .302/.395/.586 slash line with a .982 OPS. Of the 32 hits Ray has allowed to the current Rockies’ hitters, 16 of them have been for extra bases. And seven of those have left the yard. The success against Ray should continue tonight as the Rockies’ offense has a.209 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

When building your Rockies’ stack, of course you will want to start the construction with Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,900 DraftKings: $5,600). The infielder has crushed lefties this season. He has a .466 ISO and a .516 wOBA versus them. Also, he has killed Ray in the past. Arenado has a 1.289 career OPS against the Diamondbacks’ pitcher.

You also need to consider Ian Desmond (FanDuel: $3,500DraftKings: $3,900). The outfielder has an ISO of .321 versus lefties in 2019.He also has a 1.289 career OPS versus Ray. Chris Iannetta (FanDuel: $3,300DraftKings: $3,700), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,100), DanielMurphy (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,100), Raimel Tapia (FanDuel: $3,200DraftKings: $4,100) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $3,500)should all be considered. Each of those Rockies’ hitters have .200-plus ISOsagainst left-handed pitching in 2019.

Kansas City Royals

The ChicagoWhite Sox’s Reynaldo Lopez has struggled this season. The Right-hander has a5.09 SIERA and a 5.81 xFIP. Lopez has also allowed a 53.6% flyball rate and a40.9% hard contact rate. In addition to his 2019 struggles, Lopez has also hada difficult time with the Royals in his career. Against the current Royals’roster, the Chicago starter has allowed a .301 batting average and a .382 on-basepercentage.

Hunter Dozier(FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,100) and Jorge Soler (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,400) are great building blocks to a Royals’ stack. Both KansasCity hitter have ISO’s of at least .275 against right-handed pitcher but theyalso have .900-plus OPS against flyball pitchers.

Alex Gordon (FanDuel:$3,400 DraftKings: $4,800) and Adalberto Mondesi (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,500)also have produced at least a .200 ISO against righties in 2019. While WhitMerrifield (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,200) has a .364 wOBA and a 127 wRC+against right-handed pitching this season.

Philadelphia Phillies

The St.Louis Cardinals will be starting Genesis Cabrera. The left-handed pitcher has a6.35 ERA in Triple-A this season. In 39.2 innings pitched for the Memphis Cardinals,Cabrera has allowed 43 hits and 19 walks that have led to 28 earned runs. ThePhillies are likely going to provide a rude welcome the Cardinals’ starter.

Jean Segura (FanDuel:$3,900 DraftKings: $4,800), J.T. Realmuto (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,600),Scott Kingery (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,100), Rhys Hoskins (FanDuel: $4,400DraftKings: $4,900) and Bryce Harper (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $4,500) allwill be part of the welcoming party. Each of these players have recorded atleast a .200 ISO versus lefties in 2019.

Baltimore Orioles

The Tigers’Ryan Carpenter has had a rough go to the start of his 2019 campaign. He isallowing 3.21 HR/9 while maintaining a 9.00 ERA. While we usually stack againstthe Orioles, today you want to stack with the Orioles.

This stackwill of course start with Trey Mancini (FanDuel: $3,800 DraftKings: $5,000).While he is not a cheap part of the stack, he is an owner of a .283 ISO and a.430 wOBA versus lefties this season.

The other bat to consider starting the Baltimore stack with is Pedro Severino (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $3,900). Severino has a .300-plus ISOs against lefties this season.

Good luckand happy stacking!

Catcher

Wilson Ramos, NYM vs. WSH

DK ($3,300)   FD ($2,500)

I honestly don’t really like this matchup, but this DraftKings price absolutely blows my mind. We’re talking about one of the best hitting catchers in the Majors and it’s a wonder why he’s priced below guys like Rene Rivera, Austin Romine and Caleb Joseph. Ramos is obviously the cream of the crop and that’s just a small sample of the nobodies who are ahead of him. Getting to face a lefty should limit some of the risk, with Ramos posting an .842 OPS against southpaws since the beginning of 2017. Keep an eye on Ramos over the coming weeks, because he should be closer to $4,000.

First Base

Kendrys Morales, NYY at BAL

DK ($3,400)   FD ($2,200)

Let’s keep the value plays riding, as Morales has found himself in the heart of the Yankees order. In fact, Morales has batted fifth in three of his first four games with New York, picking up a hit in all three fixtures while providing a homer, two runs scored and three RBI. That’s pretty much the Morales we’ve become accustomed to throughout his career and it’s hard to argue with his .860 OPS against righties last season. Getting to hit in Yankee Stadium should only improve that lefty power, considering that bandbox is the friendliest park for left-handed bats in the league. We’re talking about a guy with a career .189 ISO and .334 wOBA and it’s hard to understand why he’s flirting with a minimum price on both sites in the heart of a potent lineup. The icing on the cake is the matchup though, with Andrew Cashner posting a 4.54 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over the last four years, and the Yankees projected for more than five runs.

Second Base

Rougned Odor, TEX vs. SEA

DK ($4,300)   FD ($2,900)

Let’s keep our value plays rolling, as I really love Odor on FanDuel. I probably won’t ride him out there on DK at $4,300, but paying below $3,000 on FD is hard to overlook. What really makes Odor intriguing is his recent form. The lefty second baseman is one of the streakiest players in the league and collecting five homers, nine runs scored and 13 RBI over his last 11 games shows that he’s starting to get hot. What should scare off fantasy owners is his lack of discipline at the plate, but that shouldn’t be an issue against a contact pitcher like Mike Leake. Odor always performs better against righties too, posting a .754 career OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor while picking up almost all of his steals against them.

Third Base

Josh Donaldson, ATL at SF

DK ($4,300)   FD ($3,500)

After a few value plays, let’s get to some higher-end options. While hitting in Oracle Park is a scary proposition, facing Andrew Suarez is not. In fact, the Giants southpaw posted a 4.49 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in the Majors last season, and he tallied a 6.33 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in Triple-A so far this season. This marks his first start of the year at this level and it’s a wonder why he was called up while struggling so badly. Suarez is especially bad against righties, with right-handed bats posting a .504 SLG and .363 wOBA against him in his career. That’s a beautiful sign for Donaldson, with the slugging third baseman posting a career .959 OPS against southpaws. He’s hot right now too, providing 12 doubles and seven homers over his last 35 games.

Shortstop

Carlos Correa, HOU vs. CWS

DK ($5,200)   FD ($4,000)

Shortstop is an absolute nightmare on this slate, so we’re going to go big here with Correa. The slugging shortstop has been doing some serious damage in the heart of the Astros order, with Correa posting a 1.000 OPS over his last 25 games. That’s really no surprise when you consider the fact that Houston is the highest-scoring team over the last month. While we don’t know who he’s going to face, any time a potent offense like this faces a minor league TBD, it’s worth taking a shot on.

Outfield

Joey Gallo, TEX vs. SEA

DK ($5,700)   FD ($4,200)

Much like Odor, we love to use Gallo against contact pitchers. The only weakness that Gallo has is that he strikes out a ton. With that K upside dropped a significant amount against Leake, he becomes one of the best options on the slate. Any time Gallo gets the ball in play, he’s a guy we want stock in. In fact, Gallo is one of the league leaders with a .441 xwOBA and a .362 ISO. He’s been even more absurd against right-handers, posting a 1.089 OPS against righties so far this season.

Ronald Acuna Jr, ATL at SF

DK ($4,600)   FD ($4,100)

Acuna got off to a slow start this season but recent results indicate that he’s back to his rookie form. Over his last 14 games, Acuna is hitting .304 with 10 runs scored, nine RBI, three homers and three steals. That directly correlates with him returning to leadoff duties and we definitely want to use him against a weak lefty like Suarez. Since his call-up, Acuna owns a .391 OBP and a 1.001 OPS against southpaws while posting a .658 SLG against lefties so far this year.

Shohei Ohtani, LAA vs. MIN

DK ($4,000)   FD ($3,800)

This DraftKings price is really hard to understand, as Ohtani has been one of the best hitters in the league since joining the Angels. Dating back to last season, Ohtani actually ranks Top 5 in the league in OPS. One would argue that he’s an even better hitter this year, with the Japanese slugger providing a .391 xwOBA so far this season. The lefty slugger is really finding his form at the plate too, collecting nine hits over his last 28 at-bats. We always want to use him against righties too, with Ohtani posting a 1.011 OPS against right-handers since his signing.

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Day

Gallo/Odor/Choo combining for more than 4.5 runs+RBI

With a limited slate, we’re going to go with just one pick here. I really like the Rangers today and we’re going to back these Texas righties against Mike Leake. While Leake is a solid pitcher, he seems likely to struggle against a lefty-heavy lineup in a hitter’s haven like Globe Life Park. The main reason is because Leake has a minuscule 16 percent career K rate and that spells disaster in a park like this. Vegas appears to agree with me, as they have the Rangers projected for six runs, the highest total on the slate.
