This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 1/7 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sites have fairly different scoring formats, particularly with the recent changes on DraftKings. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. BE SURE to double-check both regular and power play lines at both morning skate and before lock as they can drastically change from the time of publication.

Top Three Lines

Washington One – Alex Ovechkin, Tom Wilson, Nicklas Backstrom, Add-On: John Carlson

This spot jumps out as Washington is a heavy -290 favorite with a large 4.20 implied goal total. It makes the most sense to turn to the top line here. Over the last month, the total goals between both of them and the second line are about even. However, the supporting stats tell a different story, perhaps best exemplified by the top lines 129 SATF over the last ten games, as opposed to the second lines 72 by comparison. The first line is creating more chances and is due for a big game. Tom Wilson is extremely cheap on FanDuel so I am more likely to use them there.

Montreal One – Tomas Tatar, Phillip Danault, Ilya Kovalchuk

The Canadiens, much like the Avs below, were nothing short of straight ass last night. However, it’s those two magic words once again, Red Wings. The second line was sort of chalky last night, along with Ilya Kovalchuk individually. However, you can also turn to the top line, as the addition of Kovalchuk offers up some additional savings and should be very popular once again. I think he is even fine as a one-off just to go stars and scrubs or perhaps one scrub and stars. All skaters on either line are also on one of the two power-play units.

Colorado One – Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog

The Avalanche totally burned us last night, but sometimes you have to have a short memory in DFS. The Rangers have actually been a little better over the last month. Be sure to check who is the third man in the top line at the morning skate, as last night the Avs swapped Mikko Rantanen up at the expense of Joonas Donskoi. Perhaps this was only due to being down against the Islanders, or it is a sign of things to come. If it is a permanent shift back to their main top line of the last couple of years, it will make the other two skaters even more dangerous. Colorado has a healthy 3.53 implied goal total so the oddsmakers in Vegas agree that a bounce-back is likely. They are facing Igor Shesterkin who has been good in the minors but will be making his NHL debut in net. Best of luck kid!

Honorable Mention: Boston One – David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron

If you’ve been rolling with me all season, you already know Boston One is always in play.

Welcome to WinDaily’s newest edition of the NHL Stack and Track! In this article, the 1/7 NHL Stack and Track, we will look at the top NHL stacks at each price range and rank the best and the worst goalie spots to target in tonight’s monster 12-game slate.

1/7 NHL Stack Report

  1. Washington Capitals Two $$$
    Vrana – Kuznetsov – Oshie (FanDuel: $19,500 | DraftKings: $16,300)
    – This line has been producing offensively for Washington as of late and provides salary relief over the overpriced first line. As far as tonight’s game vs Ottawa goes, Anderson is so bad that both top lines are viable tonight. However, Washington’s second line holds a slight edge over the first line.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Dmitry Orlov (FD: $4,300 | DK: $3,800)
  2. St. Louis Blues Two $$
    Sanford – O’Reilly – Perron (FanDuel: $16,100 | DraftKings: $14,000)
    – Sanford has recently been promoted to St. Louis’ best line as his new linemates lead the team in scoring and have piled on the goals recently with a goal and five assists in their last game alone. St. Louis has also been almost unbeatable at home this season whereas the Sharks hold a losing record on the road. Despite the fact that St. Louis is on a five-game losing streak they are currently on a five-game home winning streak, not to mention prior to these three games the Blues were on a seven-game win streak. I am confident that they will be able to return to form at home.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Alex Pietrangelo (FD: $6,400 | DK: $6,400)
  3. Nashville Predators Three $
    Grimaldi – Bonino – SMITH (FanDuel: $11,800 | DraftKings: $10,800)
This line has been impressive. Though they may look insignificant, they have been playing like superstars. Smith has been one of my favorite plays since I’ve played DFS and he still finds a way to provide serious value even to this day. Currently, Smith has three goals and an assist in his last two games and his production has rubbed off on his teammates as his linemates have both received the benefits of Smith’s success. Rocco Grimaldi also has four points in his last two and last game Bonino recorded assists on both his linemate’s goals. This is truly one of the hottest depth lines since the break.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Roman Josi (FD: $6,800 | DK: $7,200)

Honorable Mention(s): Florida Panthers One, Pittsburgh Penguins One

1/7 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Jordan Binnington (FD: $8,600 | DK: $8,400)
  2. Igor Shesterkin (FD: $7,000 | DK: $6,900)
  3. Braden Holtby (FD: $8,000 | DK: $8,500)
Honorable Mention(s): Sergei Bobrovsky, Andrei Vasilevskiy

Worst

  1. Craig Anderson (FD: $7,400 | DK: $6,900)
  2. Adin Hill (FD: $7,200 | DK: $7,400)
  3. Martin Jones (FD: $7,200 | DK: $6,900)
Honorable Mention(s): Matiss Kivlenieks, Charlie Lindgren

1/7 NHL Wild Card of the Day

Ilya Kovalchuk (FD: $3,000 | DK: $3,500
– Kovalchuk is a top-line winger with a scoring upside that is priced extremely cheap and is facing against the last-placed Red Wings. Detroit lets in the most goals in the NHL and Kovalchuk did have a strong first appearance with the Habs.
Honorable Mention(s): Smith, Silfverberg, Dadonov, Hornqvist

Game Stack of the Day:
PIT1/VGK2
HM: VAN1/TBL1

1/2 NHL Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Josi-Kuznetsov-Pietrangelo – Putting Up Points  This star shootout bet has the league’s strongest defencemen and a center who is hot and facing off against one of the worst goalies in the league, not to mention all three are connected to today’s stacks. The 2.5-point threshold should not be a challenge for these three NHL All-Stars.

Rust-Pacioretty-Stone – Putting Up Points  This game pulls directly from today’s top game stack and pits two of the strongest offensive teams in the NHL (both teams average over 3.1 goals per game) against each other. This bet has members of each team’s strongest line to cover the 2.5 points.

Honorable Mention(s): Kuznetsov-Oshie-Carlson – Putting Up Points

Top Three Lines

Toronto One – Auston Matthews, Mitchell Marner, Zach Hyman

Toronto has a sweet home matchup with the Edmonton Oilers, who are allowing 3.99 GA/60 over the last month “2nd worst in the NHL”. Meanwhile, this line is the third most productive in hockey over the last ten games with nine full line goals and strong peripheral stats across the board. Both Auston Matthews and Mitchell Marner share time on the top power-play unit while Zach Hyman skates on the second. You can always run the full line, a two-man of Matthews and Marner, and if choosing the latter, it’s not a bad idea to add John Tavares as to help get a piece of both Toronto lines plus the additional power play correlation.

Montreal Two – Max Domi, Nick Suzuki, Artturi Lehkonen

Winnipeg has allowed an NHL high 4.1 GA/60 over the last month, providing Montreal with a high upside spot at home. The Brendan Gallagher injury surely dampens their overall potential. However, they have found a way to produce despite absences and also come in cheap on both sites as a result. I do not have that strong a preference for either line but would lean towards the second as they have been hotter as of late and cost less. They make for a very strong value line or you can simply use Max Domi and just one of the other two.

Colorado One – Nathan MacKinnon, Joonas Donskoi, Gabriel Landeskog

At first look, this does not seem like an ideal matchup for Nathan MacKinnon and company. However, the Islanders are mired in a bit of a slump and that has come in large part from poor goaltending. They have surrendered an average of 3.56 goals per 60 minutes over the last month and now face one of the most dynamic offenses in the NHL. You can use MacKinnon as a one-off, as I would recommend in cash games, or roll out the full line. Either way, Colorado is definitely in play tonight. If their ownership is low, it will be an additional cherry on top.

Nathan MacKinnon/Auston Matthews/John Tavares- Over 2.5 Points – The 2.5 point bet is up to an 11/13 hit rate since it’s debut in articles. Tonight, Nathan Mac is the first man in, as always when he is available. Next up I am using both Auston Matthews and John Tavares. Rather than use linemates, the goal here is to consolidate any points from Toronto’s top two lines.

Top Line

Chicago Blackhawks Power Play – Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Strome

The Chicago Blackhawks have a juicy home matchup with the Red Wings, NHL target numero uno. However, with the way the Chicago lines are spread out, it makes them difficult to target for DFS. If targeting a specific line, the best bet might be the third line with Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome. Otherwise, I would either target the primary two Blackhawks stars Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews as one-offs or as part of a power-play stack. Chicago’s 3.79 implied goals total and status as a -195 favorite will make them chalk on what should otherwise be a low scoring three-game slate.

Be sure to check out the status of Blackhawk goalie Robin Lehner as he did not practice yesterday. If he does not play, I like the concept of a game stack here for tournaments and in terms of salary, it should be fairly comfortable to put together.

1/5 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Patrick Kane – Chicago Blackhawks – $7,500
  2. Jonathan Toews – Chicago Blackhawks – $6,200
  3. Alex DeBrincat – Chicago Blackhawks – $5,800
  4. Dylan Strome – Chicago Blackhawks – $4,800
  5. Dylan Larkin – Detroit Red Wings – $6,700

Defensemen

  1. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators – $7,000
  2. Mattias Ekholm – Nashville Predators – $4,800
  3. Connor Murphy – Chicago Blackhawks – $4,500
  4. Ryan Suter – Minnesota Wild – $4,900
  5. Mark Giordano – Calgary Flames – $6,800

Goalies

  1. David Rittich – Calgary Flames – $7,700
  2. John Gibson – Anaheim Ducks – $7,300

1/5 NHL FanDuel Rankings

1/5 Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Patrick Kane/Jonathan Toews/Dylan Larkin- Over 2.5 Points – So far since it’s the introduction into the article, the over 2.5 point bet has hit ten or twelve times. For tonight’s incarnation, let’s turn to the Detroit/Chicago game, which might be a shootout despite the Red Wings’ low implied total as of the time of writing. Patrick Kane is the first man in, as is Dylan Larkin on the Detroit side. From there, you can roll with Jonathan Toews or Alex DeBrincat.

Jacob’s Above Average Plays is back with four plays that will knock your socks off. Two NHL, one NBA, and one play on the first game of the NFL’s Wild Card Playoff weekend. These are the kind of plays that make you a winner.

Take Los Angeles Clippers -11 versus Memphis Grizzlies ( 3:30 pm EST, Saturday 4 January 2020)

The Grizzlies travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. The Clippers are one of the league’s best home teams straight up and against the spread. When the Clippers play at home they are really tough to beat. The Clippers won fifteen of the eighteen games they played and they covered the spread in twelve of them. They score an average of almost 117 points per game at home (116.67 ppg) while allowing just 105.72 ppg to visitors. Paul George is likely out for this game and that doesn’t bother me. Kawhi Leonard is more than capable of leading this team himself as Memphis is one of the worst road teams in the NBA.

Memphis was a bad team all year. They dealt with multiple injuries already this season and, while the team is slowly coming back together, the Clippers are not the team to turn the corner on. The Grizzlies only won six of the sixteen road games they played this year, covering in seven of them. Their defense is ranked twenty-fifth in the league in points allowed when playing on the road, allowing 115.19 points per game. Memphis allows teams to shoot almost 50% from the field (46.36%) and that’s bad news as the Clippers are an above-average scoring team at home. The Clippers have a 46.12% field goal percentage and make 35.87% of their three-point attempts.

Memphis is not the team that will give the Clippers a run for their money. Not only do the Clippers cover the spread 66% of the time when playing at home but have covered in eleven of seventeen games versus teams who win less than 45% of their games.  Grab this line soon, as it opened with the Clippers as ten-point favorites and it has already moved up to eleven and I can only see it to continue to go up.

Take Buffalo Bills +3 versus Houston Texans ( 4:35 pm EST, Saturday 4 January 2020)

This Wild Card match-up is the first game of the NFL playoffs this season. Buffalo travels to Houston as three-point underdogs where Houston covered, just once, as a home favorite in the last seven games played when they were favored.

Houston had above average moments this year, so don’t get me wrong when I say they don’t cover the spread at home. It’s just a fact! Houston was an on-again, off-again respectable offense but that’s when they were healthy and, right now, they are not. Wide receiver Will Fuller is a long shot to play today and he changes the offense when he is on the field. He is the Texans deep threat and deep plays are a big part of their offense. When Fuller is on the field quarterback Deshaun Watson’s deep pass completion percentage goes from 34.3% to 43.2% and that really opens up the passing game. Overall, their offense is an above-average offense ranked thirteenth in the league in scoring, fifteenth in passing and twelfth in rushing but they are taking on one of the league’s best defenses in Buffalo. I see that being a major problem for them. It doesn’t help that Houston ranks in the bottom third of the league in rushing and passing defense. While this is Josh Allen’s first playoff game, I see him being able to take advantage of their weak defense (yes, even though J.J Watt is back).

Buffalo’s team played above average all year, especially on defense. The Buffalo defense ranked second in the league in points allowed, allowing just an average of 16.19 points a game. They hold teams under 200 yards passing per game (195.13 yards) and 103.13 yards rushing per game. Buffalo’s team is built to control the clock and keep Houston off the field. They have the better defense and, if Josh Allen can take advantage of a weak Houston defense, I think he and wide receiver, Jon Brown, will have a field day. Bill’s running back, Devin Singletary, progressed nicely as a rookie and, if Buffalo can get the lead, I see them using Singletary to keep Watson and the Houston offense off the field.

I think Buffalo is the better team here and that they cover this line. They are arguably coached way better than Houston this year. Coach Sean McDermott turned Josh Allen into an NFL quarterback!  With the Houston passing game banged up, I think they struggle to not only move the ball but score points. I really think Buffalo gets the outright win here but I’ll take the points just in case. Take Buffalo plus three points.

Take Philadelphia Flyers versus Arizona Coyotes YES-Goal scored in the 1st 10 minutes -122 (8:00 pm EST, Saturday 4 January 2020)

Philadelphia is one of the best teams in the league having goals scored in the first ten minutes of their games. The Flyers have had goals scored in the first ten minutes of their games in 25 of the 34 played, which is quite above average at 73.5% of the time. When Philadelphia goes on the road, a goal is scored in the first ten minutes in over 85% of their games. Arizona, too, has an above-average amount of goals scored in the first ten minutes of their games. The Coyotes have had at least one goal scored in the first ten minutes in 25 out of the 42 games played, which is good for 59.5% of the time. The Coyotes tend to play faster and more aggressive at home versus the Flyers. The Flyers play faster and more aggressive when on the road versus Arizona. The total hit the over in six of the last seven games when Philadelphia traveled to Arizona to play. The way these two teams have been playing, I do not see this being any different. Take YES- Goal scored in the 1st 10 minutes -122.

(For this bet to win, either team must score a goal in the first ten minutes of the game. If the game reaches ten minutes and one second without a goal, we have a loser.)

Take Philadelphia Flyers versus Arizona Coyotes OVER 5.5 Goals -108 (8:00 pm EST, Saturday 4 January 2020)

There are just too many stats pointed towards the over in this game. Philly went over the total in five of their last six road games and in five of their last seven games overall. The Flyers went over the total in six of the last seven versus Arizona when playing them on the road. Arizona is at home in this game and they score an above-average amount of goals when at home. When the Coyotes are at home, they have gone over the total in eight of their last ten games, averaging just about three goals per game (2.9 gpg). This is good news for Arizona as Philadelphia allows almost four goals per game (3.73 gpg) when playing on the road.

These two teams play each other tough and when they meet there are usually a lot of goals. The combined average score between these two teams in the last ten games played versus each other is 6.4 goals. The total today is 5.5, I’m taking the over.

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 1/4 on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Tampa Bay One – Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov, Ondrej Palat. Add-ons: Victor Hedman and Steven Stamkos

This is one is fairly obvious as Tampa Bay is a slate high -240 favorite with an implied goal total of four on the nose. Ottawa has a respectable home resume so far this season but much of that was with Anders Nilsson playing at a high level in the net. Tampa’s second line is also worth a look as an alternative. I don’t even mind some sort of team stack multi-line combo as well in tournaments. Sometimes these high total games provide enough points for everyone to eat.

Vancouver One – Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller. Add-on: Quinn Hughes

Next up we have the Vancouver Canucks top line with a 3.59 implied goal total, coming in as a -160 home favorite. The Rangers are traveling to the west coast and given some of their defensive woes on the road, it’s a good spot for Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, and J.T. Miller. I like this line more on DraftKings where they are cheaper if you play on both sites. All three skaters also have correlation on the top power-play unit, thus giving us some additional upside. If looking to expand, you can turn to Quinn Hughes, quarterback of the aforementioned power-play unit.

Colorado One – Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Joonas Donskoi. Add Ons: Cale Makar, Mikko Rantanen

Nathan MacKinnon is in a league of his own right now. I just have to give him the top rank on both sites on a nightly basis. You can always just play him as a one-off, but on FanDuel, Joonas Donskoi is always cheap and if you have the money, obviously there is correlation available with Gabriel Landeskog. Be sure to double-check that this line doesn’t revert back to a pairing with Mikko Rantanen or something before lock. The Devils have played surprisingly well since losing Taylor Hall, but they are simply out of their league here.

Honorable Mention: Arizona Coyotes

I just wish the lines didn’t split the stars up as much. However, the Flyers have been awful on the road recently. This is definitely more of a tournament special.

This article focuses on NHL DFS Picks for 1/3 on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Top Line

Cash – Dallas One – Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Alexander Radulov

Friday night, we have a fairly straightforward two-game slate where it will be no secret that the Dallas top line is major chalk. The Stars draw the best matchup in the NHL, at home against the Red Wings. So far, for most of the season Dallas has spread out it’s best players across all three lines. However, their top three skaters could not have been reunited at a better time. At the time of writing, the Stars are a -300 favorite, which is ridiculous by hockey standards. You should just eat this line in cash games and in tournaments look elsewhere if you want or try to combine them with something a little more off the board.

GPP – Carolina Two – Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Nino Niederreiter

If looking for a pivot off of the Dallas Stars top line or another line to try to squeeze in with them, look no further. I would expect the Carolina second line to come in behind Dallas One in terms of ownership, but they certainly have their fair share of upside as well. They have been rolling as of late and play host to a Washington team more known for their offense than defense. They are also extremely affordable, with only Sebastiano Aho’s FanDuel price over 7k.

Tyler Seguin/Alexander Radulov/Alex Ovechkin – Over 2.5 Points – Rather than through DFS, I will get my Ovechkin exposure through Monkey Knife Fight where salary is a non-factor. These 2.5 bets are 8/9 so far since I started listing them in articles. Clearly our choices are limited tonight by the two game slate, but it should still work out.

Welcome to WinDaily’s first NHL Stack and Track of the new decade! In this article, the 1/2 NHL Stack and Track, we will look at the top NHL stacks at each price range and rank the best and the worst goalie spots to target in tonight’s monster 12-game slate.

1/2 NHL Stack Report

  1. Boston Bruins One $$$
    Marchand – Bergeron – Pastrnak (FanDuel: $25,200 | DraftKings: $23,000)
    – This line is by far the strongest option out of many viable top lines in tonight’s monster 12-game slate. In their past four games, this line has put up seven goals and fourteen assists, making them one of the NHL’s top lines this season. In tonight’s matchup, they will be at home against one of the league’s worst goalies in Elvis Merzlikins. Despite a strong performance from Elvis last game, the statistics are simply too strong to ignore, especially when considering that this matchup is at TD Gardens where Boston has only lost one game in regulation and Elvis is 0-7 on the road.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Brandon Carlo (FD: $3,700 | DK: $3,000)
  2. Toronto Maple Leafs Two $$
    Kerfoot – Tavares – Nylander (FanDuel: $17,800 | DraftKings: $17,200)
    – It was really hard to choose between Toronto’s top two lines but the second line has been slightly more productive and for a slightly more reasonable price. William Nylander has been the best producer on this line with a three-game multi-point streak and 11 points in his last six games. The center Tavares has been very productive as well with seven points in his last three games. Tavares produces a lot of shots and both Nylander and Tavares play on Toronto’s top power-play unit. The final forward, Kerfoot, has been recently upgraded to this line after an injury to Ilya Mikheyev and is by far the cheapest player on the line. Kerfy has still been producing well enough for his price point with three points in his last four games and has been seeing an increase in ice-time as well as a spot on Toronto’s second power-play unit under Sheldon Keefe.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Tyson Barrie (FD: $5,100 | DK: $5,300)
  3. Montreal Canadiens Two $
    Suzuki – Domi – Lekhonen (FanDuel: $14,700 | DraftKings: $12,100)
Montreal has not played well as of late, however, this team has been putting up the numbers to make them viable as a cheap option. For his part, Vasilevskiy has been winning games but he has struggled to keep the puck out of the net and maintain his Vezina-winning numbers from last season (2018/19 GAA – 2.40) (2019/20 GAA 2.89). Max Domi centers this line and he has been a non-stop scoring machine as of late with consistent output, managing to put together a six-game goal streak. Lehkonen hasn’t been gaining from Domi’s offensive output as of yet but, Suzuki has been with eight points in his last six games alongside Domes.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Jeff Petry (FD: $5,100 | DK: $4,200)

Honorable Mention(s): Florida Panthers One, Pittsburgh Penguins One

1/2 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Tuukka Rask (FD: $8,500 | DK: $8,300)
  2. Tristan Jarry (FD: $8,800 | DK: $8,500)
  3. Antti Raanta (FD: $7,800 | DK: $8,300)
    Honorable Mention(s): Semyon Varlamov

Worst

  1. Elvis Merzlikins (FD: $7,100 | DK: $6,800)
  2. Aaron Dell (FD: $7,200 | DK: $6,900)
  3. Craig Anderson (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,100)
Honorable Mention(s): MacKenzie Blackwood, John Gibson

1/2 NHL Wild Card of the Day

Alex Galchenyuk (FD: $4,200 | DK: $3,400
– There are a lot of strong, viable options for tonight’s Wild Card. Galchenyuk has been put in an interesting situation given the recent long-term injury to Jake Guentzel. Galchenyuk now finds himself alongside Rust and Malkin on Pittsburgh’s top pairing. Galchenyuk has also been heating up with three points in his last three games and he will also find some time on Pittsburgh’s power play.
Honorable Mention(s): Dylan Strome, Ryan Strome (yes they are brothers), William Nylander, Tom Kuhnackl, Conor Garland

Game Stack of the Day:
TOR2/WPG1
HM: CHI3/VAN2

1/2 NHL Monkey Knife Fight NHL Prop Picks – Win With These Picks Here and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Panarin-Zibanejad-Tkachuk – Putting Up Points  This game pits two high scoring teams with two of the highest combined implied totals on tonight’s slate. Both goaltenders in this matchup have been very shaky and the O/U is set at 6.5. These three players have been each team’s top producers and I can easily see them surpassing three points together.

Nylander-Scheifele-Tavares – Putting Up Points  This game also has two of the league’s highest-powered offenses and both teams allow a lot of shots and a lot of goals. Each of these three players is currently on a roll and together have six goals and 12 assists in their last three games alone. While each starting goalie has a total of 24 goals against over their past three games combined.

Honorable Mention(s): Pastrnak-Panarin-Tavares – Star Shootout – Putting Up Points

Top Two Lines

Pittsburgh One – Bryan Rust, Evgeni Malkin, Alex Galchenyuck

The Pittsburgh Penguins had some bad news recently as Jake Guentzel suffered a major injury. He will more likely than not miss the remainder of the season and thus with Sidney Crosby still out, Alex Galchenyuck gets the first crack at joining the first line. Nevertheless, the Penguins have a great matchup on home ice against a Sharks team that has been awful recently. Pittsburgh has yet to miss a beat despite all of the injuries and that should continue tonight. Be sure to double-check lines at morning skate as there is always the possibility that they experiment further in Guentzel’s absence.

Buffalo One – Jack Eichel, Victor Olofsson, Sam Reinhart

Buffalo finally got its mojo going against the Lightning and now find themselves in a spot where they can explode. The Sabres are a -130 favorite in what should be a high scoring affair. Edmonton couldn’t even hold a six-goal lead the other night against the Rangers without some tension towards the end due to five late goals allowed. You can’t count on any of the depth lines here but you can turn to Jack Eichel. He should be one of the most popular skaters on the slate.

1/2 NHL DraftKings Rankings

Forwards

  1. Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche – $7,900
